THE SLAIN CROWN PRINCE DEMETRIUS OF MOSCOW (1591)
Born October 19, 1582 and was the son of Ivan IV Vasilyevich, more commonly known as Ivan Grozny or Ivan the Terrible.
Ivan was succeeded by his much less capable son, Feodor, upon his death in 1584. According to some, the new Tsar Feodor was not only feeble in body, but also in mind. This meant that Feodor was a ruler only in name, and that real power was in the regency council that was established to guide the Tsar. One of the most prominent figures of the council was Boris Godunov, the Tsar’s brother-in-law.
Feodor and his wife, Irina, did not produce an heir, and, according to one popular account, BorisGodunov was hoping to occupy the Russian throne once Feodor died. In order to achieve this, Boris Godunov would have to have to get rid of the last of Ivan’s sons, Dmitri.
In the year that Ivan died, Dmitri, his mother, and his uncles were exiled to Uglich, the Tsarevich’s appanage city.
Wanting to get rid of the rightful heir to the Russian throne, Boris Godunov began to act against the prince as against a personal enemy. At first he tried to slander the young heir to the throne, spreading false rumors about his alleged illegitimate birth. Then he issued a new invention that if Demetrius had inherited his father's harshness Sovereign. As these actions have not brought the desired, the insidious Boris decided to destroy the prince.
An attempt to poison Demetrius was not a success: the deadly potion did not harm the child. Then the villains decided to hide the crime. In Saturday May 15, 1591, the young prince Demetrius walked in the yard with his nurse. The killers, Osip Magi, Danilo Bitiagovsky and Nikita Katchalov, brutally stabbed prince.
Prince Dimitri was buried in Uglich, in the palace church of the Transfiguration of the Lord. Many miracles and healings began to be made at his tomb, especially often healed the sick eyes. A July 3, 1606 the holy relics of martyr Tsarevich Dimitri were found incorrupt.

After numerous miracles of healing from the holy relics, three feastdays for the Tsarevich Demetrius were established during this same year of 1606, his birthday (October 19), his murder (May 15), and the transfer of his relics to Moscow (June 3).

SAINT ACHILLES, BISHOP OF LARISSA (330)
Saint Achilles, Bishop of Larissa, lived during the fourth century, during the reign of Saint Constantine the Great. Glorified for his holiness of life and erudition, he was made Bishop of Larissa in Thessaly.
Saint Achilles participated in the First Ecumenical Council, where he boldly denounced the heretic Arius. In his city he strove to promote Christianity, destroyed idolatrous pagan temples, and he built and adorned churches.
Saint Achilles had the gift of healing sickness, especially demonic possession, and he worked many miracles. The saint died peacefully in about the year 330. His relics have remained in Prespa, in today's Republic of Macedonia, since 978.
ACTS 10:21-33
21 Then Peter went down to the men who had been sent to him from Cornelius, and said, "Yes, I am he whom you seek. For what reason have you come?" 22 And they said, "Cornelius the centurion, a just man, one who fears God and has a good reputation among all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by a holy angel to summon you to his house, and to hear words from you." 23 Then he invited them in and lodged them. On the next day Peter went away with them, and some brethren from Joppa accompanied him. 24 And the following day they entered Caesarea. Now Cornelius was waiting for them, and had called together his relatives and close friends. 25 As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. 26 But Peter lifted him up, saying, "Stand up; I myself am also a man." 27 And as he talked with him, he went in and found many who had come together. 28 Then he said to them, "You know how unlawful it is for a Jewish man to keep company with or go to one of another nation. But God has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29 Therefore I came without objection as soon as I was sent for. I ask, then, for what reason have you sent for me? 30 So Cornelius said, "Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, 31 and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer has been heard, and your alms are remembered in the sight of God. 32 'Send therefore to Joppa and call Simon here, whose surname is Peter. He is lodging in the house of Simon, a tanner, by the sea. When he comes, he will speak to you.' 33 So I sent to you immediately, and you have done well to come. Now therefore, we are all present before God, to hear all the things commanded you by God.
JOHN 7:1-13
1 After these things Jesus walked in Galilee; for He did not want to walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill Him. 2 Now the Jews' Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. 3 His brothers therefore said to Him, "Depart from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that You are doing. 4 For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world. 5 For even His brothers did not believe in Him. 6 Then Jesus said to them, "My time has not yet come, but your time is always ready. 7 The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil. 8 You go up to this feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, for My time has not yet fully come. 9 When He had said these things to them, He remained in Galilee. 10 But when His brothers had gone up, then He also went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. 11 Then the Jews sought Him at the feast, and said, "Where is He?" 12 And there was much complaining among the people concerning Him. Some said, "He is good"; others said, "No, on the contrary, He deceives the people." 13 However, no one spoke openly of Him for fear of the Jews.

Alano di Castiglione, “Il Duca Regnante di Messina” and “Il Capo Attuale di Casa Castiglione.” One of the nominal, feudal vassals to The Emperors-Elect of “The Empire of Mankind” or “Das Kaiserreich der Menscheit” officially seated at “Nymphenburg,” the provincial capital of “Der Reichstaat” or “The Imperial Demesne” and the ancestral seat of power of “The Imperial Household.” The Imperial Household or “Der Kaiserliche Haushalt” essentially being the “hereditary” or otherwise the “preferential” candidates for the official elections for the title of “Emperor of Mankind,” as well as the direct descendants of Prinz Heinrich Von Nymphenburg as The First, Crowned Imperator of “The Empire of Mankind Secundus” to be officially crowned and anointed by Archpatriarch Demetrius IV, “The 100th Bishop of Romulus” and “The Head of The Conservative Church of The New Gods.” Alano di Castiglione is one of the feudal, hereditary, “Imperial Princeps” or “Imperial Magnates” from the “Frivolous” or “Southern Imperial” cultural and linguistic hemisphere of “The Empire of Mankind Proper” or “Das Selbst Kaiserreich der Menscheit” geographically located within “The Olympian Mountain Valley” located within the southern frontiers of The Empire. “Il Ducato di Messina“ or “The Duchy of Messina” as the hereditary state of “Casa Castiglione” or “House Castiglione” roughly corresponds to the lands of “Classical Mycenae,” or the constituent heartlands of “The Classical Mycenean Civilization” during the long forgotten epoch of “Classical Antiquity” within the recorded histories of “The Civilized World.” “The Civilized World” as strictly and officially defined and prescribed by both the ecclesiastical and monastic clergy of “The Conservative Church of The New Gods” officially seated within The Holy Sept in Romulus as the historic kernel, capital, and namesake of both The Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan Republic and “The Empire of Mankind Primus” that once dominated the geographic majority of “The Civilized World” and beyond. As well as “The Civilized World” as strictly and officially defined and prescribed by the nonconformist preachers of the multitude, or the plethora of “Reformed” and “Dissenter” state churches of The New Gods based on the theological reforms of Karl von Luxembourg and Cassyon Dufresne, respectively. It has been universally agreed upon by both the scholastic, academic communities officially sponsored by the ecclesiastical patronage of The Conservative Church of The New Gods, as well as the scholastic, academic communities officially sponsored by secular, royal and aristocratic patronage of The Civilized World’s royal and princely houses, that “The Classical Mycenean Civilization” autochthonous to “Classical Mycenae,” or the constituent lands of the modern “Il Ducato di Messina” is the first, oldest, and arguably the single greatest Classical Civilization to come from “The Civilized World.” Geopolitically divided into a myriad, or a plethora of hundreds of tiny city-states known as “poleis” ruled almost exclusively either by hereditary, petty kings known as “Tyranos” or “Basileus” as well as “Aristokratos,” or oligarchical, noble republics ruled by councils consisting of representatives of the most prominent dynastic houses of hereditary aristocrats and nobles. The “poleis” of Classical Mycenae would develop a significant colonial presence throughout the lands of “Magna Mycenae” or “Mycenae Occidentalis,” the modern day “Westerlande” under the mercantile, republican rule of “Die Vereinten Gilden,” as well as a significant colonial presence on the northern and western coastlines of the modern day “Le Royaume d’Aquitaine.” Confederated under the leadership of “Alexius the Great,” Basileus of the peripheral Mycenean kingdom of “Nicomedia” as “the igumen” or “the hegemon” of the Nicomedean-led “League of Galedon.” All of the poleis of Classical Mycenae, as well as the overwhelming majority of the poleis of Magna Mycenae united against the common threat and enemy of the enormous, Classical Achaemenid Empire largely based on the southern hemisphere of the modern day “Al-Khalifat Al-Khashabar.” Both the Nicomedean-led Mycenean Empire built by Basileus Alexius the Great of Nicomedia and his “League of Galedon,” as well as the so-called “Successor States” officially founded by his “Diadochi” or his closest generals and companions after the collapse of The Classical Nicomedean Empire with the untimely demise of Alexius the Great, would begin the so-called “Mycenean Golden Age” of Classical Civilization that was characterized by the widespread proliferation and growth of Classical Mycenean culture, religion, and civilization throughout and beyond the established frontiers of The Civilized World. The material, intellectual, and social culture, religion, traditions, and customs of The Classical Myceneans would leave an indelible mark upon the cultural, religious, and civilizational development of The Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan Republic and “The Empire of Mankind Primus.” Which is most explicitly apparent with the formal adoption and the religious appropriation of The Classical Mycenean Pantheon through the historic conversion of Augustinian Regulus as The First Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan Imperator of Mankind in syncretic concurrence with religious worship in The Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan Pantheon which would later be termed as The Canon Pantheons of The Old Gods and The New Gods during and after the subsequent events of “The Enochian Heresy” and the formal and official drafting and codification the most popular Classical Mycenean and Romulan mythologies into the canon theology of The Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan rite and liturgy of “The Holy Canons of The New Gods” under the theological reforms traditionally attributed to The Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan Imperator of Mankind “Cassadorian the Great,” as well as the so-called “Feudal Age” or “The Age of Chivalry” that would characterize the recorded histories of The Civilized World long after the collapse of Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan Civilization. The first major epoch within the recorded histories of “The Civilized World” is termed as “Classical Antiquity,” as it was the material, intellectual, and social culture, religion, customs, and traditions of the Classical Myceneans would set up “the cultural foundation,” or otherwise “the civilizational bedrock” for both Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan Civilization, as well as “The Vernacular Cosmopolitan” cultures and states that would characterize “The Feudal Age” or “The Age of Chivalry” within the long and storied, recorded histories of The Civilized World long after the collapse of Classical Romulan Civilization.
Under the secular, aristocratic, and princely patronage of Alano di Castiglione as “Il Duca Regnante di Messina” and “Il Capo Attuale di Casa Castiglione.” Professional scholars and artists have been officially commissioned to explore and study the remnants of the Classical Romulan and Mycenean civilizations of the “Frivolous” or “Southern Imperial” states’ ancestral forebears. Alongside Adriano Martini as “Il Console-Eletti della Reppubbica Serenissima di Toscana” and Ronaldo de Fernandez as “El Marqués Reinante de Estalia.” Alano di Castiglione as “Il Duca Regnante di Messina” and “Il Capo Attuale di Casa Castigione” has become one of the foremost patrons of the so-called “Olympian Renaissance” or “Il Rinascimento Olympiano” within the “Frivolous” or “Southern Imperial” cultural and linguistic hemisphere. As a material and intellectual cultural movement that originally began towards the end of “The Feudal Age” or “The Age of Chivalry” within The Civilized World’s long and storied, recorded histories. The Olympian Renaissance has had a profound impact on the development of secular art, music, literature, and philosophy. Using the novel technologies of mechanical printing and papermaking, those exact same technological inventions which would later aid in the mass proliferation of the theological reforms and the treatises of both Karl von Luxembourg and Cassyon Dufresne in the form of their written thesis’ openly condemning the corruption, the abuses, and the worldly excesses of the spiritual, cultural, and moral authority of the ecclesiastical and monastic clergy of “The Conservative Church of The New Gods,” as well as the vernacular translations of The Holy Canons of The New Gods that would go synonymously with the Luxembourgian and the Dissenter reformations throughout and beyond the Empire of Mankind’s established frontiers. Both the vernacular translations of Classical Romulan and Mycenean literary works and philosophical treatises, as well as printed copies of the academic research and the discoveries officially penned and drafted by scholars and artists willing to explore and study the remnants of the old, Classical Romulan and Mycenean culture and civilization within the “Frivolous” or “Southern Imperial” hemisphere of “The Empire of Mankind Secundus” would propel both an elite and a plebeian interest in “Il Rinascimento Olympiano” as a cultural and intellectual movement far beyond the established frontiers of the “Frivolous” or “Southern Imperial” states of “The Empire of Mankind Secundus.” With the philosophical and the intellectual cultural revival of “secular humanism” corresponding with the widespread proliferation of secular art, music, literature, and philosophy inherently tied to, and based on both the ecclesiastical and the princely patronage of the academic research and the cultural rediscovery of Classical Romulan and Mycenean culture and civilization based within the geographic boundaries of The Olympian Mountain Valley. Modern scholars and academics within and without the “Frivolous” or the “Southern Imperial” cultural and linguistic hemisphere of “The Empire of Mankind Secundus” are often seen comparing and critiquing both the contemporary society that they live in, as well as that of the previous “Feudal Age” or “The Age of Chivalry” of The Civilized World’s long and storied, recorded histories to the ideals of classical philosophers. Proliferating the rise of secular philosophy and intellectual culture inherently tied to the belief in expanding both the potential and the inherent capacity of human beings as “thinking, feeling, conscious individuals” and of human civilization as a collective whole. And in the process setting new standards and ideals for both the ruling classes as well as the ruled. Intellectual and cultural connoisseurs of the academic discoveries and the research of “Il Rinascimento Olympiano” have been known to become experts on anything and everything from art, to music, to philosophy, to literary analysis, to political theory, to military strategy, to the material sciences, and everything in between.
Apart from his leading role in proliferating “Il Rinascimento Olympiano” as a material and intellectual cultural movement through his secular, aristocratic, and princely patronage of scholars and artists willing to study and explore the remnants of Classical Romulan and Mycenean culture and civilization. As well as his outspoken sponsorship and patronage of the spread and the proliferation of “secular humanism” as a philosophical and an intellectual cultural movement inherently separate, or otherwise detached from the religious teachings and the theological doctrines of “The Holy Canons of The New Gods” as officially preached and prescribed by the ecclesiastical and the monastic clergy of “The Conservative Church of The New Gods” officially seated in The Holy Sept of Romulus as the historic kernel, capital, and titular namesake of both The Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan Republic and “The Empire of Mankind Primus.” Alano di Castiglione has been plotting in conjunction with Adriano Martini as “Il Console-Eletti de La Serenissima Repubblica di Toscana” or “La Serenissima” to form “La Lega Olympica” “The Olympic League” of “Frivolous” or “Southern Imperial” states campaigning for maximized autonomy from the feudal supremacy and the excesses of the culturally and geographically distant Emperors-Elect of Mankind officially seated at “Nymphenburg,” the provincial capital of “Der Reichstaat,” or “The Imperial Demesne” and the hereditary lands of “Der Kaiserliche Haushalt” or “The Imperial Household” directly descended from the hereditary bloodline of Prinz Heinrich Von Nymphenburg as “The First Crowned Imperator of The Empire of Mankind Secundus.” Adriano Martini as “Il Presidente Ufficiale” or “The Official Chairman” to “La Lega Olympica” campaigning for maximized autonomy from the feudal supremacy and the excesses of “Die designiert-Kaiser der Menscheit” or “The Emperors-Elect of Mankind” has had much difficulty in persuading Ronaldo de Fernandez as “El Marqués Reinante de Estalia” and “El Encargado Attual de Casa Fernandez” to join and complete his “Lega Olympica” in their campaign to achieve “maximized” autonomy from the feudal supremacy and excesses of The Emperors-Elect. “La Consorte-Marquesa” to Ronaldo de Fernandez as “El Marqués Reinante de Estalia” is a “dynastic scion” or otherwise a “legitimate issue” of “Der Kaiserliche Haushalt” or “The Imperial Household” officially seated at Nymphenburg, whose dynastic patriarch officially holds the title of Emperor-Elect as “Alexius VI, 101st and reigning Emperor of Mankind and Current Head of The Imperial Household.” Ronaldo de Fernandez “El Marqués Reinante de Estalia” is also hellbent on cultivating closer political and religious ties with “L’Arcipatriarcato” or “The Archpatriarchy” officially seated within The Holy Sept of Romulus as the historic kernel, capital, and namesake of both The Cosmopolitan, Classical Romulan Republic and “The Empire of Mankind Primus.” As a legitimate issue of Casa Fernandez de Estalia currently holds the title of “Bishop-Preferati” or “Archpatriarchal Protégé” for the next official election to succeed the venerable and ailing Archpatriarch Vexillarius IV for the spiritual, cultural, and moral leadership of The Conservative Church of The New Gods as the next Bishop of Romulus. With the overwhelming majority of “The Curia” or “The College of Cardinals” supporting his official election for Archpatriarch due to the political and religious turbulence, tumult, and upheaval associated with The Luxembourgian and Dissenter Reformations throughout and beyond The Empire of Mankind Secundus’ established frontiers. Vexillarius IV as “The 299th and Reigning Bishop of Romulus” and “The Current Head of The Conservative Church of The New Gods” is a natural ally to Alexius VI and The Imperial Household as the hereditary, dynastic, “Imperial Princeps” or “Imperial Magnate” for “Der Reichstaat” or “The Imperial Demesne.” As Alexius VI as “The 101st and Reigning Emperor of Mankind” and “The Current Head of The Imperial Household” is supremely reliant on the unanimous support of all three ecclesiastical, invested “Kurfürsten Des Selbst Kaiserreich der Menscheit” to retain his dynastic household’s ancestral monopoly over the official elections for the title of Emperor-Elect. Especially in an age when most of the secular, hereditary "Kurfürsten Des Selbst Kaiserreich der Menscheit" outside of the staunchly and fervently Conservative “Hohenluxembourg Des Königreich Schönbrunn” have formally annulled their spiritual ties to The Holy Sept in Romulus through their legislative decrees to officially convert to either "The Luxembourgian Reforms" or "The Dissenter Theology" on behalf of their dynastic houses and their hereditary subjects. The three ecclesiastical, invested, “Kurfürsten Des Selbst Kaiserreich der Menscheit” essentially being the Bishop-Princes of Griffenheim, Garyalburg, and Elchingen within the clergy of The Conservative Church of The New Gods.
Although supremely sympathetic to the “Reformed Union” under the leadership of Conrad Von Buchenauer as “Der herrschend Herzog von Solingen,” “Der momentan Chef von Hohenbuchenauer,” secular, hereditary “Kurfürst Des Selbst Kaiserreich der Menscheit,” and above all, the self-proclaimed “Defender, Guarantor, and Worldly Champion of Karl Von Luxembourg’s general, sweeping, and international reformation to The Conservative Church of The New Gods” with his ideological campaign to resist Alexius VI’s designs on imposing religious uniformity over the entire Empire of Mankind Secundus under the spiritual, cultural, and moral authority and leadership of The Conservative Church of The New Gods seated within The Holy Sept at Romulus. Both Adriano Martini and Alano di Castiglione as the two leading “Imperial Princeps” or “Imperial Magnates” within “La Lega Olympica” of “Frivolous” or “Southern Imperial” states officially campaigning for maximized autonomy from the feudal supremacy and the excesses of The Emperors-Elect of Mankind are extremely reluctant to conspire in conjunction with and in concurrence to Herzog Conrad von Buchenauer and his “Reformed Union.” As a plurality of “The Curia” or “The College of Cardinals” officially seated within The Holy Sept at Romulus compose of “legitimate issues” or otherwise “dynastic scions” of the baronial and knightly houses of feudal aristocracy and nobility from “Il Ducato di Messina” and “La Reppubblica Serenissima di Toscana,” who form a powerful lobby for both political and military support to both Casa Castiglione as “I Duchi di Messina” and Casa Martini as the longtime “I Consoli-Eletti della Reppubblica Serenissima di Toscana.” As the baronial and knightly houses of The Duchy of Messina and The Toscanii Republic form the feudal, aristocratic levies of knightly retinues and pike-and-shotte infantry regiments who supplement the professional armies of knightly, heavy cavalry and pike-and-shotte infantry in direct homage and military service to The Dukes of Messina and The Consuls-Elect of Toscana.

Aylmer Demetrius Lomidze is the youngest prince, striving hard at the age of 20. He abhors the idea of using his blood ties to earn him any honors he didn’t work to achieve. His earnestness and focus are traits not unlike that of common folk youths with something to prove, no doubt buttressed by having to stand in the shadow of his brothers whom he puts on a high pedestal. He is often prodded by his brothers for these qualities, as it’s difficult for him to loosen up and enjoy the smaller things in life.
Alan Demetrius Lomidze is the second-oldest prince, having a comfortable seat in the middle at age 24. He is popular amongst nobility and commonfolk alike, thanks to his patient and affable demeanor. He finds it unsightly to express any outward fury, which is why he hides a side to him that would take to underhanded tactics and manipulation to have his way. Regardless of his secrets, he holds an immense love for his brothers and enjoys playing caretaker for them.
Alexander Stokes Lomidze is the eldest prince, and thus the heir of the crown by merit of his age at 28. Many are fooled by his appearance, as it makes him look as old as if not even younger than his brothers. He is a self-professed bookworm who would rather hole himself up in his room rather than talk with people. His idea of a “party” is gathering with the kingdom’s best scholars to discuss and debate over natural phenomena. While he can keep up appearances, deep down he is wracked with social anxiety and a sense of loneliness that dismisses his siblings.

demetrius only smirked at the comment. "at least you are aware that lesotho is in fact real and far away." he said and smiled a little more genuinely. "that's more than can be said for many a high-placed person i have met." demetrius teased and then chuckled.
"have i been at arm's length, or have you continued to watch me, m'lord, without coming forward and meeting your guest?" the prince wondered and turned to do as magnus said, to walk with him. he was curious what this meeting would lead to and he hoped that he played this game well as he walked along with the blond man. he felt tiny compared to him, even though he was an average-sized man. his hands were together on his back as he walked. "you know," he started, "i have been very impressed with you. as i have watched." he explained and stepped alongside the man. "you have managed to get yourself very close to the crown here, there really isn't much for you to... achieve here anymore, one would think."
"so have you ever wondered what it would be like, to expand your reach outside of the continent?" he said, almost casually as he looked straight ahead, waiting for magnus' mind to queue into what he was saying.
as demetrius spoke, stepping closer with an air of confidence, magnus couldn’t help but appreciate the audacity. few dared to approach him so boldly, and fewer still did so without trembling. he remained silent, studying the prince with his cold blue eyes, assessing every word, every gesture. there was a calculated boldness in the young man’s approach, and that alone piqued magnus’s interest. magnus suppressed a smirk at the prince’s audacity. no harm? everyone meant harm in the court, whether they admitted it or not. but this was not a battle of swords—no, this was a game of words, of veiled intentions, and magnus respected anyone brave enough to play. as the prince introduced himself, magnus allowed a moment of silence to linger, letting the weight of the exchange settle. "prince of lesotho," magnus finally said, his deep voice rumbling through the air, "far from home, aren’t you?" he stepped forward, dismissing his guards with a slight nod. his presence alone was enough to intimidate—no need for armed men at his side.
"you’ve been in my court for some time now," magnus continued, his tone neutral, betraying neither approval nor disdain. "though you’ve managed to remain…at arm’s length. i find that curious." his gaze lingered on the prince’s face, searching for any flicker of emotion behind the confident exterior. demetrius had played his cards well up to this point, but magnus was no fool. he knew a player when he saw one, and this prince was playing for high stakes. but power came in many forms, and perhaps demetrius had realized that royalty was not the only path to it. "and now, here you are, standing before me," magnus said, his tone smooth but edged with curiosity. instead of probing with questions any further, magnus decided to take a different approach. "walk with me," he said, his voice commanding yet calm, gesturing toward the grand doors that led out of the main hall. "i believe our conversation would be better suited for more private surroundings." without waiting for a response, magnus turned, his tall frame cutting through the room with practiced elegance.

Feud of Earth and Moon
So in Sailor Moon, we know the reason Endymion and Serenity were forbidden to be together was because it was against the gods and because of prejudice and throughout my rewrite I wanted to expand on this idea on why the Earth and Moon hated each other before Metallia’s influence so I decided to paraphrase it here.
Before Queen Serenity was, well, Queen, she was merely noble girl who lived on a planet on another star system until the planet was destroyed by invaders who wiped out 3/4ths of her race including her lover who managed to help her and small group of survivors escape to the Solar System where all the planets were already inhabited.
Not wanting to be like the invaders who took everything from her, Serenity and the survivors settled on Earth’s moon and used their advanced technology to make it hospitable before Serenity was declared Queen due to her leadership.
Over time Silver Millennium and Serenity rules justly while humanity starts to develop, much to the amusement of the rest of the Solar System who didn’t think much of humans. However, there was one who simply despised them and she was Nehelenia who was supposedly one of the first members of the Moon Kingdom but no one was quite sure who wanted to wipe out the humans and take over the Earth by force. Queen Serenity constantly shot down this idea and did everything she could to stop Nehelenia from getting an support for her evil. This infuriated Nehelenia who eventually went against the queen and commanded an army to invade Earth and slaughter its people. Eventually, Earth only had few thousand people left who were being hunted down.
It looked hopeless until one new mother who had already lost her husband prayed for help and the Sun Queen, Aelia, decided to answer her by giving her the Golden Crystal which she then used to push back the rebellious Moon Folk, unite the remaining Earth people under her, and create Elysion as Earth’s capital.
When Nehelenia and her army returned to the Moon, Queen Serenity was rightfully furious with them and in a rare show of hate and malice she used the Silver Crystal, a mystical object no one quite knows the origin of, to seal Nehelenia and her supporters into the Moon’s darkness. However, the wounds between the Earth and Moon would never heal. Earth’s people came to despise the Moon Kingdom and Queen Serenity seeing her as an evil witch who used the Silver Crystal to bend all the other planets to her.
Sure they never went to war during this time but it was obvious the Earth would never willingly be part of Silver Millennium.
In the reign of King Demetrius (Endymion’s father) and when Queen Serenity was pregnant with Princess Serenity, a group of nobles that included Beryl’s father plotted together to invade the Moon, kill the Queen, and take the Silver Crystal for themselves due to a mix of prejudice and lust for power.
They weren’t successful.
In fact, they and their armies were stomped out in a hour thanks to the combined efforts of Silver Millennium and were sent back to face judgement from King Demetrius, thanks to Queen Serenity’s mercy.
King Demetrius, while he had no love for the Moon Kingdom, knew that the actions of his nobles would reflect badly on him and could turn the armies of the Solar System on Earth, so he had them all put to death and their lands stripped from their families which left them destitute.
This brings us to the fall of Silver Millennium and the Golden Kingdom where King Demetrius was found dead from poisoning in his chambers. I won’t say how here because it’s a bit of spoiler, but noble-turned-servant Beryl used his death as a way to blame the Moon Kingdom and then Metallia turned even a casual person distaste into raging hatred. Only Endymion, crown prince and lover of Princess Serenity, resisted since he never hated or even disliked the Moonfolk. However, it was enough people to overwhelm the Moon’s forces and everyone was lost except for a small group of children back on Earth.

Eleutheromania- (n) a great desire for or obsession with freedom
Liam didn’t shed a tear for his father the day he was placed in the cold, damp earth. Those around him thought it was simply a stoic facade, a way for the young king to stay strong in a time of grief.
Those closest to him knew the truth. There was never any love between Liam and his father. Maybe when he was a small boy he had loved his father, but he soon found it impossible to feel any love for the man he quickly learned was his father in name only.
A perfectly manicured hand slipped into his and gave it a gentle squeeze. “He got what he deserved.” No sadness or love was in her cold, calm voice.
--
Liam clenched his fists. This wasn’t how it was supposed to go. Lung cancer. The words instilled more anger in him than he ever felt possible.
He never expected that one day he would be king. Ever since he became crown prince the thought that he would gain his new title due to disease never once crossed his mind. No, this isn’t how I become king.
Not this, not this time. He would take control over the years he’d been powerless to the things that happened to him. He would become king on his terms. His father didn’t get to go out after a ‘brave’ battle with cancer. He didn’t get to grow a single day older. He wouldn’t get sicker. This would be done for them. The only bit of justice they would ever get for the horrors they experienced at the hands of the man who called himself his father.
He quietly crept into Constantine’s quarters; he didn’t want to alert him yet. One thing he could be thankful for was that the disease made him sleep more, making it easier to catch him off guard.
This would be far from painless for his father.
He tightened his grip on his borrowed dagger. He knew she would be upset she missed this, but he needed to be the one to do this. She would have taken the lead. No, this was his time. It was for them both, but it would be by his hands.
A sinister smile spread upon his lips as he stood above his father. He contemplated burying the blade in his father’s side while he slept, but that would far too kind to the monster before him. Liam raised the dagger, slamming the jeweled hilt into his father’s sternum.
Constantine woke with a start, gasping in pain, his sapphire eyes wide with shock, shifting to anger and then fear as he saw his son standing above him, weapon in hand. He opened his mouth to speak.
“No!” Liam hissed. “You don’t get to plead. I pleaded with you over and over and you never stopped. Olivia pleaded and you only hit her harder. It stops now!” He plunged the dagger into his father’s side, just below the ribs, the blade angled upwards to puncture his lung. He smiled as Constantine let out a pained gasp, a wheezing sound coming with each labored breath. He pulled out the blade and plunged it back into his father’s chest with force as he twisted the blade. He held the knife steady as he watched the life fade from his father’s eyes.
He slowly pulled the dagger from the former King’s chest, his smile growing into a broad grin. He wiped the dagger clean of blood before stashing it where it wouldn’t be found. Livvy would kill me if I lost one of her daggers. He thought of all the pain he’d felt at his father’s hands as he tried to draw up an ounce of believable emotion before he pulled his father’s lifeless body into his arms. He needed this to look believable. He needed to be covered in his father’s blood.
“Father! Someone help! Guards!”
The corners of his lips twitched upwards as he heard the pounding of feet coming down the marble corridor. He gave the best performance of his life: a distraught son, coming to visit his dying father to find him murdered in his own bed. The doctor came and declared him dead. He ordered that the king’s chambers be gutted and rebuilt; any reminder of his father in the room would only add to his grief.
Unknown to them, he was talking about a different type of grief. He bit into his tongue to keep from smiling. They were finally free.
--
Liam shook his head, his words spitting like venom. “No Livvy, he didn’t get anywhere near what he deserved for what he did to us and you know it.”
Olivia nodded. She knew he was right; death for Constantine was a gift he didn’t deserve. While they agreed that death was far too kind for him, they also knew that he couldn’t be allowed to breathe after all he’d done to make their childhoods a living hell. They needed him gone more than they needed justice.
Justice was something they knew they’d never get. Years of abuse and terror and only two people had ever believed them. They both ended up dead. Only three people other than Constantine knew the truth behind their deaths and they would never be believed. Liam and Olivia had no other choice; they had to take matters into their own hands.
--
Liam took Olivia’s small hand in his. “It’s okay Livvy, I’ve got you. He won’t hurt you anymore, neither of them will.”
Olivia looked up at him with tear-filled emerald eyes. “You can’t stop him, Liam. You can’t stop either of them,” she croaked, her voice hoarse from each harsh scream he had wrenched from her lungs.
Liam looked down at the floor. He knew she was right; there was no way to stop his father from hurting either of them. They’d tried to get help countless times and they were always told that they had gruesome imaginations.
On the outside, it appeared that they had everything any child could ever want. They lived in a lavish palace in a small country located in the Mediterranean Sea. Their life should have been one that was made of dreams; instead, they lived in a nightmare. They were both on their own until they learned each other's darkest secrets. Now, they vowed they’d always have each other.
They vowed to do what they could to take control of their lives. It would be them against the world.
--
“Maybe we should have waited until after the social season. You know Regina will try harder to push Madeleine on you.”
Liam glanced at her, his chestnut eyes telling her more than words. “It doesn’t matter; either way they would push for Madeleine.” He squeezed her hand. “I won’t agree to it. Regina can respect my wishes as her king or we can deal with her.”
Olivia nodded her even and calm face. She would give anything to teach the Bad Egg lesson but knew she needed to wait. “Aren’t you worried about the council?”
“They won’t be easily swayed by her. I’ll play the grieving son card and they shall keep things as planned.”
“When did the Bad Egg call for the meeting?”
“Later today. Don’t worry, we will be on our way to New York by morning.”
--
The council sat around the large oak table to discuss moving forward in the wake of King Constantine's death. The social season had already been planned, but his death meant that Liam’s marriage and coronation needed to happen sooner than initially anticipated. Liam frowned as he picked at a scone. Of course she’d try to push the date up to be as soon as possible so I won't have time to prepare. He took a sip of coffee as debated the issue with Duke Comvallier. It doesn’t matter what the Bad Egg says, the result will remain: Madeleine will not be my queen.
“Liam needs to be engaged. That’s how it’s always been done.” Regina calmly stated. She turned her gaze to Liam, her brown eyes narrowing. “Just get it done with and propose to Madeleine. She’s the best choice for you and the country. She’s who Leo chose.”
Liam’s jaw clenched. He would not be choosing Madeleine, ever. “Father’s passing was unexpected. I’m sure the council can make an exception this once. The social season is just two weeks away and we have women coming from some of Cordonia’s finest houses.”
Duke Domvallier tapped his fingers against the smooth polished oak. “King Liam is correct.” He nodded to the former queen. “As are you, ma’am. This is highly unorthodox but unexpected events, such as the death of the reigning monarch, will cause things to never go as planned. We will continue with the social season as planned. Whoever the King chooses at the end shall be queen.”
Regina seethed. She was positive that Liam had something to do with her husband’s death but she couldn’t prove it. She would find a way to make him accept Madeleine as his queen.
Liam nodded; he would have two weeks to find someone suitable. “Thank you, Demetrius.” He allowed his stoic façade to slip, a ‘sadness’ falling over his face. “Olivia and I will be traveling to New York. It’s too difficult to be here without Father under these circumstances.”
Demetrius nodded. “Of course.”
Liam had two weeks to find the perfect queen.

Saint&Reading: Mon., June 22, 2020
Venerable cyril Abbot of White Lake
Saint Cyril, Igumen of White Lake, (in the world Cosmas) was born in Moscow of pious parents. In his youth he was left an orphan and lived with his kinsman, the boyar (nobleman) Timothy Vasil’evich Vel’yaminov, in the surroundings of the court of the Great Prince Demetrius Donskoy (1363-1389). Secular life bored the youth. At the request of Stephen of Makhra (July 14), Cosmas was dismissed to the Simonov monastery, where he took vows under Theodore (November 28) with the name Cyril.
Cyril fulfilled his monastic obediences under the guidance of the Elder Michael, who afterwards was Bishop of Smolensk. By night the Elder read the Psalter, and Cyril bowed making prostrations, but at the first ringing of the bell he went to Matins.
He asked the Elder permission to partake of food every second or third day. The experienced Elder did not allow this, but blessed him instead to eat with the brethren, only not to the extent of satiety. Cyril carried out his obedience in the bakery: he carried water, chopped firewood, and distributed bread. When Saint Sergius of Radonezh came to the Simonov monastery to see his nephew Theodore, he would seek Cyril in the bakery and converse with him about spiritual matters before seeing anyone else.
They transferred Cyril from the bakery to the kitchen. He gazed into the burning fire and told himself, “Beware, Cyril, lest you fall into fire eternal”. Cyril toiled for nine years in the kitchen and God granted him such tender emotion, that he was not able to eat the bread he baked without tears, blessing the Lord.
Fleeing the glory of man, he began to act as a fool-for-Christ. As punishment for transgressing against propriety, the Superior of the monastery placed him on bread and water for forty days. Cyril underwent this punishment with joy. But the saint could not conceal his spirituality, and the experienced Elders understood him. Against his will they compelled him to accept ordination to the priesthood. When he was not serving in church, Cyril occupied himself with heavy work. When Theodore was made Archbishop of Rostov, the brethren chose Cyril as archimandrite of the monastery in 1388.
Rich and important people began to visit the monk to hear his guidance. This disturbed the humble spirit of the saint. Despite the entreaties of the brethren, he would not remain as abbot, but secluded himself in his former cell. Even here frequent visitors disturbed him, and he crossed over to old Simonovo.
Saint Cyril’s soul yearned for solitude, and he asked the Mother of God to show him a place conducive for salvation. One night he was reading an Akathist in his cell before the Hodigitria icon of the Mother of God, and had just reached the eighth Kontakion, “Seeing the strange Nativity, let us become strangers to the world and transport our minds to heaven.” Then he heard a voice say, “Go to White Lake (Belozersk), where I have prepared a place for you...”continue reading OCA
St Martyrs Thecla, Marianne, Martha, Mary and Enmatha
During the time of the Persian king Saphor II (ca. 330 A.D.), a priest by the name of Paul was living near the village of Aza. He was wealthy and a lover of money, and he had with him five women who had consecrated their virginity to God. Saints Thekla, Mariamne, Martha, Maria, and Ennatha were adorned with the splendor of virtues. They were wealthy, and they entrusted their Spiritual Father with all their money. The greedy man prayed and chanted the Psalms with them, but he kept their money for himself.
When they learned that the priest Paul was rich, the Persians threatened to kill him and the five virgins if he did not deny Christ and give them some of his treasure. Since he preferred earthly riches, he accepted the Persian religion. The holy virgins said that they would rather suffer torture and death than deny Christ. Paul beheaded the women with a sword when they refused to follow his treacherous example. He did not enjoy his wealth for very long, however. The Persians drowned him the following evening in order to obtain all of the money. The holy virgins received their incorruptible crowns of glory from Christ in the year 346.
The five Virgin Martyrs are also commemorated on September 26.

Romans:7:1-13 NKJV
Freed from the law
7 Or do you not know, brethren (for I speak to those who know the law), that the law [a]has dominion over a man as long as he lives? 2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by the law to her husband as long as he lives. But if the husband dies, she is released from the law of her husband. 3 So then if, while her husband lives, she marries another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if her husband dies, she is free from that law, so that she is no adulteress, though she has married another man. 4 Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. 5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. 6 But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter.
Sin’s Advantage in the Law
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” 8 But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. 9 I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. 10 And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. 11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me. 12 Therefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.
Law Cannot Save from Sin
13 Has then what is good become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, that it might appear sin, was producing death in me through what is good, so that sin through the commandment might become exceedingly sinful.

Beauty and the Beast 2:
Part 1:
part 2:
Walking through the village seemed like walking through a foreign place. The villages no longer treated her the same, they wanted to do everything for her, always greeted her with a curtsy, and eyes followed her everywhere. It didn’t help having the royal guards follow her every where she went, Prince Shawn had wanted her protected at all times when he wasn’t around to protect her.
This had been happening in the last four months of their engagement and with only one month until the wedding and with every day that brought the wedding closer she felt herself regretting her decision more and more. She was no longer entitled to privacy and had her every move watched, it felt more like a hazard than a privilege to be future crowned queen and the prince was no help to that. Shawn was definitely not the person she had once known and the more she got to know the new Shawn the more she wondered whether the old Shawn was just a figure of her imagination. He was a power hungry spoilt brat who got everything he wanted when he wanted, not to mention the fact that he didn’t care about anyone but himself. He hadn’t even bothered putting any effort into his relationship with y/n, the only times she had seen him was at dinners she ate at the palace with the king and queen.
Although y/n spent practically all her time at the palace with the wedding planning and learning the names of the other royals and important figures in the land to how to dance for a ball and conduct herself in front of the public she still chose to go home to her mother. The queen had suggest that they both move into the palace and would have their own quarters until the wedding but y/n had declined the offer. Her home was the only place she felt normal even though she now had the palace guards secured all around her mother’s home.
Having had enough with all the attention in the public eye y/n jolted to a stop causing her ‘baby sitter’ to almost run into her. Demetrius, her personal guard, apologized for his mistake, even though it was y/n who had cause it, with a bow.
“I have changed my mind, I would like fresh air elsewhere.” Y/n stated. “Take me to the stables.” She hated acting like a snob but the royal advisor had instructed her that she must act superior so then people believed her to be superior. She was already facing an obstacle by not having been born into the crown, she now had to demanded respect.
“But you are to meet with the prince for an afternoon walk around the palace grounds.” Demetrius informed y/n causing her to mentally roll her eyes, she hated those walks they were silently and agonizingly painful. Shawn didn’t care for her nor did she care for him, they only took this time because the queen instructed them too.
“Then give him word I have changed my plans and he can meet me at the stables.” She huffed as she got into her carriage. Demetrius informed the footman of y/n’s change of plans before getting into the carriage with y/n.
Once he had gotten y/n to the palace stables safely he left to inform Shawn of y/n’s where about.
As y/n rode she was beginning to lose control, she would give the horse a light kick here and there telling it to go faster, for the first time in a long time she felt in control of something yet again. From the moment she had agreed to marry Shawn she had been told not only what to do but who to be and she had grown tired of it. She now understood why as a kid Shaw had hated the throne. At the time she had thought of him as foolish, he had everything at his face and he didn’t want it, but now she understood why. It was a nightmare. A prisoner would have more freedom than she did.
Being so distracted in her own thoughts y/n hadn’t realized just how fast or how uneasy the horse she was riding was and before she knew it she was on the ground and her horse was galloping off into the woods that surrounded the castle.
“Are you alright?” A voice called from behind y/n causing her to let out a huff. She couldn’t even fall off a horse in peace, of course she had to have someone watching her.
She pushed herself off the ground before her spectator could come to her rescue.
“I’m fine!” She huffed attempting to dust off the dirt and grass stains off the sleeves of her pink and white gown refusing to look up to see who was seated on the horse that had just approached her.
“Are you sure, that looked like a nasty fall.” The stranger pressed causing y/n’s temper to rise.
“I said I’m fine!” but when she looked up to see who the stranger was she regretted raising her voice. “David.” She breathed out in surprise now looking away sheepishly, embarrassed by her actions. David had been one of y/n’s closest friends growing up. His father had been the stable boy and now it seemed he was following in his footsteps. Y/n had good memories with David, he had filled the void that Shawn’s silent absence had left. David was only a few years older than y/n and although neither had actually mentioned it both had developed feelings for one another and had someday hoped to marry. But someday was no longer an option.
“ I feel as though I have failed as a teacher.” David chuckled as he got off of his horse. He had been the one to teach y/n how to ride a horse in the first place, although she had never been very good at it to begin with. "Why don’t you take Matilda, and I shall walk with you.“ He suggested gesturing to his horse. Without agreeing y/n got onto Matilda allowing David to take the reins and lead her back towards the stable where Shawn would eventually be waiting.
At first it was silent and awkward but nothing new to y/n considering that was how most moments spent with her prince and soon to be husband were. But David broke the silence remind y/n of the time that they went exploring in the woods less than three years ago, at the time she was convinced she wanted to run away and live a life as a bandit in the woods, scavenging for food and stealing for the rich also known as her now future in-laws. It seemed odd that less than a few years ago she was more than prepared to live a life like that but now she was living a life that was the exact opposite.
Being with David made her feel good, he didn’t treat her defiantly the way everyone else did. He treated her the same way he always had. It made her feel warm and at home. It also reminded her of why she had liked David so much but she hadn’t seen him since the proposal. She couldn’t help but wonder what David had thought once he had heard the news, was he upset, did he think less of y/n? She was curious but her pride had gotten the best of her, she refused to care what he thought. She would soon be royalty and no one’s opinion of her would matter.
When they arrived at the stable y/n was surprised not only to be met with Shawn but a furious Shawn at that. His mood only seemed to worsen at the sight of David but when David bowed he seemed to ease a bit as though he was being reminded that he was superior to the man that had rescued his damsel in distress.
"I received note that you had fallen off your horse, I trust the animal will be put down as soon as it is found and all troubles will be undone.” Shawn informed y/n causing her eyes to widen in horror.
“No!” She and David cried out in response causing Shawn’s scowl to surface once again.
“I beg your pardon?” He spat in disgust, “Remember who you are speaking with, both of you.”
“Pardon me you highness but the animal in innocent.” David said with his head bowed refusing to meet his princes gaze.
“Don’t you have a stable to attend to, I could very easily find someone to replace you.” He spat causing David to scurry off in embarrassment sending one last longing look at Y/n as he left.
“That horse did nothing wrong, it was my fault and I’m not even hurt.” Y/n justified ignoring Shawn’s previous statement. She wasn’t going to let an innocent animal die because of her stupidity.
When Shawn didn’t respond y/n turned her back on him and stormed off in disgust. She was going to marry this cruel monster in a month. He was going to be the father of her children. The thought appalled her. Her children deserved a loving father who cared for them the way hers once had before her had passed. Her father had been the most admirable man in her life, that was what she wanted for her children but they wouldn’t have that.
“Why do I get the feeling you don’t like me.” Shawn called out after her once they were far enough from the stable to be classified as alone. With that y/n stopped in her tracks and turned to face him.
“Because I don’t. I despise you with every ounce of my body!” She seethed furiously taking Shawn by surprise. Y/n had always been well behaved and shown Shawn nothing but respect when they were together. This side of her was something new to him. "You are cruel, arrogant, and self absorbed. You will never be fit to be king.“ y/n felt relief speaking what she had been dying to say to him since the day after her proposed.
"Really? That is what you think of me?” Shawn didn’t seem offended at all by y/n’s accusations.“Then answer one question why are you marrying me?” He smirked causing y/n’s glare only to deepen.
“Shouldn’t that question be mine to ask.” Y/n shot back causing Shawn to stare at her curiously as if to tell her to continue because he was interested in what she had to say. “You could have any girl in the kingdom, or any other kingdom for that matter. Princess are lined up for you and you went against your parents blessing and chose me. ” Y/n elaborated. “Why?”
“Because. You don’t want the riches, or the power, nor the status. I know you have never cared about any of that nonsense which brings us back to my question, why are you marrying me?” Shawn was still smiling. He was okay with the fact that y/n didn’t love him, nor was she marrying him for any reason. This was bringing him satisfaction and it was making her feel worse.
“If I answer your question will you answer one of mine?” She negotiated.
Shawn gave an easy nod while mumbling 'anything for you my bride’ giving a small bow that somehow brought more comfort to y/n. Like Shawn had mentioned, y/n didn’t care for power but seeing him bow even if it was of mockery brought her satisfaction.
“Foolishness.” She shrugged easily causing Shawn’s brows to crease together.
“Elaborate.” He instructed causing her to roll her eyes but proceed.
“I was foolish to believe that the boy I knew was still inside you, why else would you propose to me.”
“And why was that foolish?” Shawn wondered although his frown told y/n that he was not at all impressed with her answer.
“Because I was wrong, that kind boy has been taken over by a beast.” Y/n was walking on broken glass with her behavior but at this moment she didn’t seem to care. Hell to it if she lost it all, so what if the kingdom would frown upon her and the royals would make her life hard, she didn’t care anymore, she was miserable now. Whatever they did to her at least she would finally be free again.
Y/n could tell that this had infuriated Shawn but he didn’t act upon it. Instead he spat out “What is your question.” As if he wanted this conversation to finally be over.
“Why did you stop meeting me?” Although y/n hadn’t elaborated Shawn knew exactly what she was implying which was only making his mood worse. The Prince was known for having a temper that even put his father’s temper to shame.
“As you noted my future queen.” Shawn smirked effortlessly causing y/n’s confidence to falter. “A beast came over me.” And with that Shawn turned on the balls of his feet and walked away proud of himself for not having given in to y/n.
“Burn in hell you monster!” y/ screamed after him causing Shawn to jolt to an abrupt stop, turning yet again he stalked towards y/n with a dangerous grin on his lips as he reached for her causing her to flinch away by instinct although he didn’t lay a hand on her the way she had expected. Instead Shawn took her hand and snatched the ring off her finger surprising her. She had expected him to storm off as he previously had but he didn’t. He remained in the same position towering over her while he turned the ring over between his thumb and index finger in a teasing matter.
“No.” He gave a dry chuckle as the word escaped his lips. “I can put you through more misery if we are married.” Shawn snickered in realization as he shoved the ring back onto y/n’s finger, all the confidence she had previously felt now long gone. “And don’t even try to run or do anything that might jeopardize this marriage because if you do I will have your mothers heart.” He watched as the horror took over y/n’s face at his threat before he happily walked away leaving y/n dumbfounded and proud of himself.

Shakespeare Quotes From This Semester
So in one of my classes this semester, as it was Shakespeare class centered around his Histories and Comedies, we had to learn and recite 8 lines from each play. I completely botched my first one, it was so embarrassing, I had to pause and curse and laugh throughout it. After that initial atrocity, I got much better and now want to document the passages which I have committed to memory.
A Midsummer Night’s Dream: Act I Scene I Lines 233-241 Things base and vile, folding no quantity, Love can transpose to form and dignity: Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind; And therefore is wing'd Cupid painted blind: Nor hath Love's mind of any judgement taste; Wings and no eyes figure unheedy haste: And therefore is Love said to be a child, Because in choice he is so oft beguiled.
- Helena about her unrequited love for Demetrius who is in love with Hermia
Much Ado About Nothing: Act IV Scene I Lines 169- 177
To start into her face, a thousand innocent shames In angel whiteness beat away those blushes; And in her eye there hath appear'd a fire, To burn the errors that these princes hold Against her maiden truth. Call me a fool; Trust not my reading nor my observations, Which with experimental seal doth warrant The tenor of my book
- the Friar to Hero after Claudio and his bois @ her saying she isn’t virtuous bc they fell for an idiot set-up by Don Jon
The Merchant of Venice : Act III Scene 1 Lines 62-70
I am a Jew. Hath not a Jew eyes? hath not a Jew hands, organs, dimensions, senses, affections, passions? fed with the same food, hurt with the same weapons, subject to the same diseases, healed by the same means, warmed and cooled by the same winter and summer, as a Christian is? If you prick us, do we not bleed? if you tickle us, do we not laugh? if you poison us, do we not die? and if you wrong us, shall we not revenge? If we are like you in the rest, we will resemble you in that
- Shylock after finding out that his daughter, Jessica, has eloped with a Christian, took all of his money and goods, and also defending his push for Antonio to secure his bond.
Richard II: Act III Scene II Lines 160-168
All murder'd: for within the hollow crown That rounds the mortal temples of a king Keeps Death his court and there the antic sits, Scoffing his state and grinning at his pomp, Allowing him a breath, a little scene, To monarchize, be fear'd and kill with looks, Infusing him with self and vain conceit, As if this flesh which walls about our life, Were brass impregnable, and humour'd thus
- Richard II when abnegating the throne to Henry IV and making the worlds biggest scene of it because he is the most dramatic boi to ever sit his fanny on that English throne
Henry IV (Part 1): Act I Scene I Lines 77-85
Yea, there thou makest me sad and makest me sin In envy that my Lord Northumberland Should be the father to so blest a son, A son who is the theme of honour's tongue; Amongst a grove, the very straightest plant; Who is sweet Fortune's minion and her pride: Whilst I, by looking on the praise of him, See riot and dishonour stain the brow Of my young Harry.
- Bolingbroke looking at his frat-boy son ( Hal/Henry 5) in comparison to the son of his cousin who is actually good at war-related things and being worried for his small idiot
Henry V: Saint Crispins Day
But we in it shall be remember'd; We few, we happy few, we band of brothers; For he to-day that sheds his blood with me Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile, This day shall gentle his condition: And gentlemen in England now a-bed Shall think themselves accursed they were not here, And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
- Henry V rousing his men before the battle with the French who * wait for it* lost because it was rained that night and it was too muddy for the french when they reached the valley... Look up Kenneth Branagh’s version, it’s pretty BOMB.
This assignment was pretty great and I started this class thinking that I would absolutely HATE it, but I am happy that I know a bit of Shakespeare. There is one speech I have forgotten because I remembered it on one of the busiest weeks of the semester and it was for Henry IV Part 2. I’m taking the follow-up class in the spring to focus on Shakespeare’s Romances and Tragedies. Great times.
I’m going to London in March and cannot wait to visit the Globe Theater to watch a play! Once you understand Will’s ( lol) words, you will see how brilliantly he could play with them and realize just how HILARIOUS this man was.
Damn. What a time to live.
read him, Beatrice.

Gold His Crown
All bowed to him, Prince Demetrius, Future King of the Delfino Dynasty. With his Uncle’s death and cousins choosing to abdicate the throne, Demetrius was the only heir left in the bloodline. Expected to marry, the kind and fair prince was disheartened. While most women had eyes for him, he had eyes for another man. A servant in the walls of the keep, and his friend. While he was sure he could find love with a woman, why should he be so desperate to let go of a love he cherished so fondly? Having returned from riding, Demetrius stows away to his chambers to confide in his lover. “ They expect me to take a bride- ”
