Crowley's Big Bang 2023
The time has finally come, darlings.
After a long pause, the Crowley Big Bang is back, new and improved.
In fact, this is not going to be a traditional Bang.
We do realise that lots of us have gone back to working full time, with all the stress and fatigue that this may cause. So, to allow us to focus better on the torture, we decided to try something a little different: allow us to present you:
Crowley Against Humanity.
The whole thing is going to be as easy as standing in line in Hell: two prompt lists (black and white cards, if you’re familiar with the game).
The Prompts Lists are coming tomorrow, 1st of July!
Care to bury your box and join us at this crossroads? Then, under the cut you go.
You pick up to two prompts from each list, and mix and match away to your heart's content - provided you still have one.
You enjoy your creations, share them with us, and wait for October - since we're shooting for a month filled with creations and hellish chaos.
The prompts can be used faithfully, mentioned in passing, used as loose inspiration: we just want you to have fun.
How about collaborations? We know that those are the heart of a Bang. This year, those will not be handled by the mods - freeing you from check-ins, deadlines and such.
But, once the prompts have been claimed, we encourage you to reach out to fellow minions and see what team-up can see the light! No limits there: two artists, two authors, multiple artists and one author… as long as everything is safe and consensual, the sky’s the limit.
Deadlines and Timing:
Sign Ups open on July 7th! You’ll find the link here and on our Discord server, complete with instructions. If not, just shoot us an ask!
After that, you’ll have until the 21st of July to sign up - artist or author, welcome!
The prompts claims will be on July 22nd.
You have until the 30th of July to tell us if you decided to work with someone.
Works are due the 24th of September.
The Fine Print
Of course, there are rules.
In order to participate, you have to connect with us on Discord - You’ll find the invitation link to the server included in the sign-up form - or you can send us an ask if you want to get in before that.
First, you don't act like pre-cure Crowley, or any of his minions. Not to the mods, not to your fellow creators. You do that, you'll be snapped into oblivion - AKA banned from the Bang.
We won't reblog hateful content of any kind. It’s not our role to police your creations, but it’s our job to keep this space as safe as possible and enjoyable for everyone. Trigger warnings and detailed tags are compulsory. If those are missing, or incomplete, the work will not be reblogged on the blog or included in the collection.
Are you in doubt about a tag? No one has ever been called out for being too careful. You can always shoot us a DM on Discord, or open a discussion on our server - hiding the bit in question and warning the other participants about it.
NSFW: while it’s perfectly fine to create NSFW stuff, Tumblr’s policies have made it increasingly difficult for it to stay up and circulate. Please, do take the necessary precautions and label it correctly. When it comes to our server, we have a dedicated channel you can use to share that material.
RPF: nope. This is a Crowley event, which means we focus on the characters.
Fics must be at least 2K long.
No AI creations allowed. The whole point of this Bang is connecting with other human creators, and celebrate the love of fandom through original creations.
Again... don't be a douchebag. When in doubt, the mods will be happy to help - compatibly with the timezones and those pesky real life committments.
We hope to see you all at the crossroads for signing away your souls. In the meantime, don't forget to misbehave and raise a little Hell.

If the depressingly dim and horrendously decorated Flamingo Lounge has a single redeeming quality, it’s that other than the wide-eyed bartender watching Crowley storm up to the bar, the place is mercifully, blessedly empty.
“Get out,” Crowley snaps at the man, shucking off his coat and sinking down onto a barstool. “Leave a bottle of whatever passes for decent Scotch, and get out.” He blinks; when his eyes re-open, they’re blood red. “Now.”
The bartender obliges, quickly setting the glass he’d been wiping down in front of Crowley, procuring a bottle that he places next to the glass, and all but running out of the bar.
“Smart man,” Crowley mutters to no one in particular. He snatches up the bottle and pours himself a glass of…Jameson? Really? “Dead man,” Crowley amends darkly, but making good on the threat would require going after said man, and Crowley has better—worse—more important things to do. He sets the bottle aside in disgust and knocks back his drink. It tastes like acetone, but it’ll have to do.
With a huff, Crowley reaches back to where his coat hangs and removes the First Blade—his “finder’s fee,” as he’d flippantly called it when talking to Sam. Judging by the positively murderous look in Dean’s eyes as Sam had driven away with his wayward brother handcuffed in the backseat of the Impala, Crowley himself would be paying a price if Dean ever got hold of him after this...
Well, then Crowley will just have to make sure Dean never gets hold of him after this, simple as that.
He turns the Blade over in his hands, taking in its…not craftsmanship, but rather, its underwhelming lack thereof. In the dingy fluorescent light of the bar, the Blade looks crude and unremarkable; it feels crude and unremarkable. Cut off from the power of the Mark and held by someone with no claim on it whatsoever, it’s no longer a powerful killing tool but simply a piece of old bone.
Crowley sets the Blade down on the counter in front of him and pours himself another shot of Jameson. For all his past scheming over the blasted thing, the act of actually possessing the Blade is decidedly anticlimactic. Honestly, the only reason he’d even taken the it at this point was because he could, so that Dean wouldn’t have it…
Dean stands over him, chuckling as Crowley glowers up from the floor—the bastard had pushed him. Crowley gets slowly to his feet, ignoring his still-stunned minions and ready to smack the smirk right off Dean’s face but managing to keep his anger in check…for now. “What…do you think you’re doing?”
Dean stares coolly back at him. “Oh, whatever I want.”
“Really?” Crowley counters. “Because I think you don’t know what you want. Tell me, Dean,” he sneers softly, “what are you? A demon? If so, why isn’t Lester’s wife dead? Did you feel sorry for her?” He feels a stab of satisfaction at the way Dean doesn’t meet his eye. “So maybe you’re human. Except you have those pretty black peepers, and you’re working alongside me. Why don’t you do us all a great big favor and PICK A BLOODY SIDE?!”
For a split second, he thinks Dean might strike him—good, Crowley thinks fiercely; he could do with throwing a few punches himself right about now—but instead, Dean just smiles in a way that doesn’t reach his eyes and says, “Or what?”
There’s a veneer of calm to Dean’s voice as he speaks, but Crowley hears the underlying menace well enough. He hesitates, and Dean advances, his smile turning even more feral. “Hmm? Go ahead. Make a move. See how it ends.”
And Crowley…doesn’t make a move. Not so much because he knows perfectly well that Dean will gut him if he does, but because…because damn it, even though Crowley’s furious with Dean, and even though a large part of him would like nothing more than to lash out and make Dean feel at least a fraction of the betrayal Crowley himself is currently feeling, another, even larger part of him wants to lash out at himself for being stupid enough to think that this confrontation hadn’t been inevitable, that what he had with Dean Winchester, of all people, could ever last…
Dean huffs; then, in a low growl, he delivers his coup de grâce: “I ain’t your friggin’ bestie, and I ain’t taking orders from you. When I need to kill, I’ll call. Until then, stay out of my way.”
It’s as good a knife wound as any, even if it doesn’t actually pierce Crowley’s meatsuit. He feels himself on the precipice of a scream as hurt, anger, and an all-too-familiar sense of worthlessness coalesce into a writhing maelstrom of self-loathing and despair and foolish, feverish want—to strike Dean, to kiss him, to kill him, to just…have him in some way, or at the very least, to not lose him, not like this…
Open your eyes, Dean, he thinks furiously, desperately in Dean’s direction. See what I see, feel what I feel—
But Dean doesn’t hear him, doesn’t see, doesn’t feel. There’s nothing but hatred in the hollowed-out blacks of Dean’s eyes—hatred, and Crowley’s own pitiful, dejected reflection staring back at him, and…and fine. It’s fine. He's—
“Fine.” Crowley draws himself up, centuries of practice in play as he keeps his voice flat. “It’s over.” He feigns a shrug, addressing his minions. “What can I say? Crazy ones—well, they’re good for a fling, but they’re not relationship material.” He looks squarely back at Dean as he speaks the last bit, hoping it stings.
If it does, Dean doesn’t show it. “Are you done?” he demands, and this time, Crowley nearly does strike him, nearly does knock Dean to the floor and stand over him and shout until his voice goes hoarse and—
“We’re done,” he states levelly instead. It’s almost funny: even to Crowley’s ear, it actually sounds like he means it. He lets out a clipped, bitter laugh. “You know what, Dean? It’s not me. It’s you.” With that, he steps around Dean and makes for the door, his minions in tow. Dean doesn’t call after him, and Crowley tells himself he wouldn’t stop even if Dean did call out. The bar door slams shut with a heavy clang behind him, and it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t matter, it doesn’t—
Crowley snarls and hurls his glass at the wall behind the bar. He’d given Dean a chance at something extraordinary, at a life free from the burden of having to give a damn about—about anything, and this was the thanks he got? For risking his life and helping Dean get the Mark and the Blade and indulging each and every one of Dean’s puerile, hedonistic, dive bar-centric whims every day for the past six months? This was what Dean gave him in return? Hadn’t they been more than that, been...been friends, been—
“Think of it,” he says conspiratorially to Dean. “The King of Hell, Dean Winchester by his side. Together, we rule. Together, we create the perfect Hell. And all of this that’s bloomed between us never ends…”
Well, so much for that, Crowley seethes. He seizes the bottle of Jameson and takes one final swig before slinging it forward to shatter alongside the remnants of his glass. So much for him and Dean and Growley and Squirrel and the whole great, big, fat, bloody lot of it!
Did you honestly think he’d say yes? jeers a judging, contemptuous voice from one of the older, more deeply hated recesses of his mind. Crowley recognizes the voice all too well—it is, after all, his own. Dean Winchester, the Righteous Man, on your side? Anyone, ever, on your side? You were all too keen to call out Dean’s indiscretion with Lester, but did it ever occur to you, pot, that you were calling the kettle black? What do you think you are, hmm?
Crowley’s eyes fall on the First Blade, and a moment later it’s in his grasp. He hesitates; then, slowly, he brings the Blade up and runs it down the palm of his other hand…
A ribbon of red blooms in the Blade’s wake. Crowley watches as for a moment, the blood continues to flow…then disappears when the cut vanishes entirely, which is…good. It’s good. Plus one for demonic healing, and all that…
What was it you said to Dean? interjects the voice in an odious purr. 'Why don’t you do us all a great big favor and pick a bloody—'
Sod off, Crowley bites back, clenching his teeth and forcing himself to sit up straighter on the barstool. He doesn’t need to—He knows perfectly well what he is, damn it: he’s an arsehole, a bastard, an irredeemable villain of the highest degree, and he doesn't need anyone, least of all Dean sodding Winchester, on his bloody side! He’d somehow forgotten that over the past year or so, lost his previously unfailing sense of demonic clarity and allowed himself to get swallowed up in…in feelings, but no more. From now on, he’d be strong, would go back to thinking strictly of himself and his own best interests without losing any proverbial sleep over it, and if Dean ever did sort himself out enough to decide to pick up the phone and call him up for old time’s sake, well, then Crowley simply wouldn’t answer.
To prove it to himself, he pulls his phone from his pocket and thumbs the power button, ready to pull up his contacts and block Dean’s number once and for all, and…and as his lock screen flares to life, he finds himself staring at a photo of him and Dean, taken months ago at some middle-of-nowhere dusty dive bar whose name Crowley can’t even remember, and yet—
“I can’t believe I let you talk me into this,” he grumbles to Dean as they step out of the Impala, the ridiculous cowboy hats Dean had found at the last petrol station and insisted on buying perched squarely on their heads. “When this is over, I expect you to honor our agreement. For the next week, I pick the music.”
Dean rolls his eyes. “Whatever, man. Just do what you can to avoid cramping my style, all right? Unlike you, I plan on getting laid tonight."
The next few hours pass in a haze of cheap beer, loud country music, and the constant clack of cue sticks against resin as Dean hustles three different sods at pool…and Crowley loves every minute of it. He can’t help but marvel at how wondrous it is to see Dean like this, free and uninhibited in his flirtation not just with women but also men, the part of him that Crowley had long suspected to be locked away now on vivid, unabashed display for whoever feels like looking…and Crowley finds that he does feel like looking. He watches as Dean bends low over the pool table and expertly sinks the final 8-ball into the designated corner pocket, much to the consternation of his latest victim, and he wonders…
A few minutes later, he and Dean are back at their table, laughing and toasting Dean’s victory with fresh mugs of beer that Crowley’s starting to think isn’t so bad after all, when one of the servers walks by, and Crowley, in a moment of inspiration, holds out his phone and asks her to take his and Dean’s picture.
“Admit it,” Dean says with a wink, sounding more than a little drunk as he leans in and flicks the brim of Crowley’s hat. “You’re startin’ to like it, aren’tcha.”
And maybe it’s the booze, or maybe it’s the company, or maybe it’s the fact that Crowley can’t remember a time in recent memory where he’s enjoyed himself as much as he has tonight, but he feels himself smile back. “Maybe I am,” he concedes, and Dean laughs and claps him on the shoulder just as the flash goes off…
“Sir?” calls a voice, ripping Crowley from his reverie and setting him squarely back in the present. “Uh, Your Evilness?”
Crowley blinks, vaguely aware that two of his minions have appeared behind him, but he doesn’t respond. Instead, he unlocks his phone and goes to his photo album, flicking through the files until he finds the one of him and Dean he’d set as his lock screen.
“Sir?” says the same minion as before. “Sir, it’s time to move on.”
And it is, isn’t it? Time to move on. Time to forget about Dean Winchester once and for all, to cut out this…this weakness at its source. Time to go back to being what he truly is, what he always has been, what he always will be…
Crowley hesitates, his finger hovering over the delete icon.
“You know why I always defeat you?” he says to Sam and Dean what seems like a lifetime ago, in Bobby’s junkyard. “It’s your humanity. It’s a built-in handicap. You always put emotion ahead of good old-fashioned common sense…”
A second ticks by. Then another. Then another. Crowley stares at the image on the screen in front of him…and then he pockets his phone, allows one of his minions to help him with his coat, and leaves the bar without looking back.

SFX Magazine Issue 368, August 2023
THEY’RE BACK – AND THIS TIME THEY’RE IN ALL-NEW TERRITORY. NEIL GAIMAN TALKS RETURNING FOR SEASON TWO OF GOOD OMENS
THE RASCALLY DEMON Crowley (David Tennant) and the neurotic angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) put aside their differences to pull off one doozy of a Hail Mary and prevent an impending Apocalypse in Good Omens’ first season. The task cemented the pair’s unconventional friendship. So what are divine beings, who have fallen out of grace with both Heaven and Hell, to do for an encore?
The answer lies with archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm), who shows up unannounced on the doorstep of Aziraphale’s London bookshop. Suddenly, Aziraphale and Crowley are caught up in a caper of biblical proportions – but also a more intimate tale.
“It’s a mystery,” showrunner Neil Gaiman tells SFX. “It kicks off a story that doesn’t have giant consequences for the universe, even if it does have consequences for Aziraphale and Crowley. We have a lot of the marvellous Jon Hamm, who is the angel Gabriel and turns up at the beginning stark naked, carrying a cardboard box with no memory of who he is. In the same way, it is about Aziraphale and Crowley having to get involved with humanity in a way that they haven’t before.
“They get dragged in slightly against their will to try to sort out the love life of Aziraphale’s tenant,” he continues. “Her name is Maggie [Maggie Service] and she runs the record shop next to the bookshop. You’ll see the coffee shop over the road, which is Nina’s [Nina Sosanya]. The relationship between Maggie and Nina is one that Crowley and Aziraphale try to fix, and mess up, because they are not good at human relationships, even if they can do miracles.”
Truth be told, Gaiman never originally intended this arc to serve as Good Omens’ second instalment. The TV series was based on Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s 1990 novel. The two collaborators had partially hashed out the details for a sequel to the fantasy comedy, late one night in a hotel room. This, however, is not it. Gaiman instead plotted a new narrative that could provide the connective tissue between the first season and a theoretical season three, if it happens.
“Because the hypothetical season three exists, there is a story that is there, and I didn’t feel that we could drive straight from season one into that,” Gaiman explains. “I knew what the stakes were. I knew what the parameters were. I also knew that I had David and Michael. I had the angels from plot number one.
I had demons from plot number one. And with anybody that I wanted to bring back, but didn’t have room for right now, I did not have to bring them back as themselves. “I had absolutely nothing for Madame Tracy to do in this plot, but I would be damned if Miranda Richardson wasn’t going to be in this. She is one of my favourite people in the world. She is hilarious and is so good. And I knew I was going to have a new demon replacing Crowley as Hell’s representative in London/ the UK. Miranda’s demon Shax is the best demon you could want.”
It’s late February 2022 and SFX is in Edinburgh for a set visit. A soundstage in Pyramids Studios has been transformed into a street in Soho. The visible local stores include the aforementioned book, coffee and record shops, as well as a magic establishment. In the middle of them all stand Aziraphale and Crowley, the latter in close proximity to his classic Bentley. It’s close to the end of the six-episode season, so exactly what the duo is discussing constitutes a spoiler. We can say, however, that Aziraphale has picked up the pace. Time is of the essence as Shax marshals her forces to descend on Aziraphale’s store and retrieve Gabriel.
“This is really Shax’s first time out on Earth,” Gaiman explains. “She is working very diligently and very hard in Hell for a long time. Now she is on Earth, trying to figure it all out. She’s just discovering what Crowley has known for 6,000 years, which is that if you’re a demon and come up with a brilliant plan to screw up the lives of humanity, people will get there first and do worse than anything you could have imagined! She’s coming to terms with that.
“She is having to deal with the first crisis on her watch, as well, which is the disappearance of the archangel Gabriel from Heaven. It would be fair to say that by the end of the story, she is leading as much as she can get from Hell’s requisition department – a legion of Hell – in an attack on a Soho bookshop.”
When audiences catch up with Aziraphale again, he’s enjoying his time among humans. He owns most of the block in a Soho neighbourhood, and he’s meddling in Nina’s love life. Meanwhile, Crowley has been living in his car, with his plants sitting on the back seat. He’s grumpy about his current status quo, but frequently hangs out at Aziraphale’s. The duo began as antagonists, but their history and blossoming relationship will be fleshed out in flashbacks.
“One of the enormously fun things I came up with is the idea of minisodes,” Gaiman explains. “They are 25-minute-long episodes within the episode. We have three of them over our six episodes. Each of them is like one of those chunks of episode three [in season one]. Whereas the longest one of those was four or five minutes, if that, these are full stories.
“You get to have the story of [put-upon Biblical figure] Job, and you learn Aziraphale and Crowley’s part in the story. Then writer Cat Clarke takes us to Edinburgh in the 1820s for a tale of body-snatching and attempted murder that the boys get involved in,” he adds.
“Finally, Jeremy Dyson and Andy Nyman reunite the League Of Gentlemen in a Nazi-period story that takes place very shortly after the episode in the church. That one was the only one I said had to be there, because I fell in love with our Nazi spies in the church. I kept thinking, ‘What would happen if they essentially came back as zombies, with a mission from Hell to try and investigate whether or not Crowley and Aziraphale were actually fraternising?’”
Gaiman admits that one of the greatest challenges has been filming Good Omens simultaneously with his upcoming show Anansi Boys. The two shoot within throwing distance of each other, but are both timeconsuming endeavours.
“If I could go back in time, I would go back to 16 September 2020, when Douglas Mackinnon [co-producer] and I got the phone call from the Amazon bigwigs to say, ‘We have good news for you and interesting news for you,’” Gaiman recalls. “‘The good news is we are greenlighting both Good Omens and Anansi Boys. The interesting news is you are going to have to do them both at the same time.’
“I would go back to then and I would throw myself on the call and say, ‘Neil, don’t! This is unwise.’ That we are doing them both together is great. The amount of sleep I am not getting is monumental and monstrous.
“It’s a little bit like childbirth, in that I managed to forget all the things that drove me nuts about the first one. Having said that, I managed to fix all the things that really drove me nuts making season one, which is great. We just have a whole new set of problems making season two…”
The Odd Couple - David Tennant and Michael Sheen talk character and sets for season two
Crowley and Aziraphale come off as the best of frenemies at times. Where do they stand with one other now?
DT: They are indeed. What’s different in season two is because of what happened at the end of season one, they no longer have head offices that they have to report to. They are in a very different position. Whereas before they were trying to get away with things, now they are kind of free agents.
MS: Although sort of fugitives as well. They are sort of in-between. But this amazing life they have created over a millennia, they are now able to enjoy in a slightly different way. They are not having to put on a front for their respective teams. There is a different kind of freedom.
DT: While at the same time being cut off, so they are also strangers in a strange land.
MS: That kind of connects them in a slightly different way. They have always been the only two beings who could understand each other’s position. Now they are pushed even closer together.
Now that they have the run of the place with no obligations, does that bring its own set of problems, being cut off?
DT: They have this sort of uneasy relationship. They are not entirely cut off from their head offices. Indeed, their head offices are quite keen to exploit that sort of adjacent connection, as we will see as the story unfolds. They exist in this grey area, neither the supernatural nor of the Earth.
MS: By the time we pick up their story in this series, they have appeared in time where they were kind of let alone a bit more. When we pick the story up, they are being bothered again.
The depth and the richness and the detail of what we are seeing on set here in Edinburgh is mind-blowing. How is it for you having it all in one place now, rather than having filming scattered around the UK?
MS: It’s completely changed the experience of doing it. Just being indoors… The Soho set on the first season was freezing cold.
DT: I was in a car park. Even inside the bookshop I was exposed to the elements! There’s a greater percentage of the show set here. There was a practical imperative to making it a manageable environment. If we had been in a car park, the elements might have impinged our ability to film.
Hellraiser - David Tennant is Crowley
You and Michael know these characters inside out. Do you have a shorthand?
It’s a hard thing to be objective about. Although I didn’t know Michael that well before we shot season one, it was always easy and exciting working together. It’s well-oiled now, for sure. It’s certainly fun to come to work. We enjoy bouncing off each other.
How comfortable are they about becoming involved with Gabriel?
I suppose Aziraphale is a much more enthusiastic detective. We are very much voting for the spin-off called The Azirafiles, which will follow this! As with most things, Crowley is reluctant to get involved or to exhibit any kind of energy or enthusiasm about very much. He is dragged kicking and screaming into this. Necessity forces him to get involved, whereas Aziraphale rather likes it.
Where does Crowley hang out these days?
He spends a lot of time in the book shop. He only has one friend. He can only have one friend. That is the great liberation, and also the great prison, that they find themselves in. They have no one else. They have come to rely on each other more than they ever did. And more than they care to admit.
Crowley is a rock star, in a way. Were there any particular musicians that inspired you?
Not consciously, no. The look was assembled accidentally during the first costume sessions. The Crowley of the book is of the mode when the book was written. He is more kind of Wall Street, the way he is described. We just decided that Crowley should always be of the moment he’s in. We were just trying to find a look that we felt fitted.
Divine Being - Michael Sheen is Aziraphale
How has knowing your characters better informed this series?
The first series was the first time we really properly worked together. It feels like we haven’t stopped working together since. Everything that has happened in-between plays into coming back to these characters. I am sure it is all feeding into it. It’s very difficult for us to know how that is informing the characters and their relationships.
With the flashbacks to various points in Earth’s history, is there a period of time Aziraphale enjoys the most?
One of the most enjoyable things for the audience and us is moving through different historical periods. It’s a great source of joy, and people thoroughly enjoyed that episode in the first series, so that has been expanded on in season two. But in terms of which Aziraphale enjoys the most, I think it’s not actually a period of time that we’ve seen him in on this series.
He would have been happiest at the end of the 19th century, in the Victorian era, which is considered the golden age of magic. He would have loved being with the greats like Harry Houdini. He loved the Victorian period. It was a great period of time for philanthropy and doing good works in a municipal way.
How has it been going from something dark like The Prodigal Son to a more whimsical show?
That’s the nature of an actor’s job. You go from one thing to another. In some ways, it’s even more useful to have big differences between the characters. What tends to happen, and I think most actors feel this way, is if you are playing one character for a long time, part of you yearns to play the bits the character doesn’t have. There’s a naivety and an innocence about Aziraphale. But at the same time, underneath that, there is eons of knowledge and experience.

do you have some fics where nina and maggie (knowing that azi and crowley aren't human) interact with them? i've always been attached to the idea of maggie and nina being the only ones knowing that they (the ineffables) are an angel and demon, so any fics about that would be appreciated! Thanks a lot, have a good day/night (and also I'm writing this on December 31 2023, so happy 2024 season as well!!!)
Hello. You can check this post for fics like this. Here are more for you...

It’s lovely to see you so happy.” Aziraphale replies, watching as Maggie smiles and all but bounces off to join Crowley and starts directing the demon where to put her dishes as he takes them out of the Tupperware boxes one by one. Only for the demon to almost drop an entire platter of iced biscuits as Maggie hugs his waist suddenly and visibly squeezes him. AKA: The Whickber Street Traders & Shopkeepers Association decide to have a Christmas meal together. Aziraphale offers to host with the promise not to make them all talk like Jane Austen again.

As she eagerly and anxiously awaits the arrival of the Record Shop owner, a familiar demon comes into the shop after going suddenly MIA those months ago. But, the poor demon is very confused and a lot heartbroken, and Nina tries to help and give relationship advice. Or; Aziraphale comes back home, but Crowley still doesn't understand what Aziraphale feels truly, and Nina tries to help him.
An Ineffable Arrangement by Aidaran, Letha (G)
The Second Coming has been averted. Crowley and Aziraphale are finally together and on the same side. And the Whickber Street Shopkeepers and Traders Association thinks they could take their bliss somewhere else. Or at least the storms associated with it. ------------- Nina, head conspirator of Whickber Street, was, against her will, a woman on a mission. To boldly take a demon where no one had taken him before. Shopping.
Shepherds of the Damned by angelwithawand (T)
After Aziraphale leaves, Crowley carves out a life of his own. “On Sundays, he goes to pub trivia night. It doesn’t escape him, the irony of a demon having a place that he attends like clockwork on the Lord’s Day of Rest.”
Especially to Me, Especially if it's You by cyankelpie (T)
Crowley has spent the last two years learning to cope with Aziraphale's absence. So when Aziraphale shows up with no memories, and Crowley is the only one who can help, it's not an easy thing to deal with.

Love Story
Pairing: Sam Winchester x Female!Reader
Word Count: ~2.2k
Warnings: minor angst, mostly fluff
Request by @fuiabarcelos: I was thinking of a fluffy one-shot inspired by "Love Story". The reader is a kind and charming girl, but she was raised by Crowley. The reader falls in love with Sam, but Crowley does not approve of this relationship because he is a hunter. Oh, I really like the idea of having a ball, like in the video clip. But I want you to feel free to add whatever details you prefer🥰❤️
Summary: You and Sam have a very secret love. Your dad hates the Winchesters and hates that you're with them all the time. He tries to keep you in Hell but you always manage to find your way back to the youngest Winchester.
Square Filled: “where have you been? Do you know what time it is?” (2023) for @heavenandhellbingo
Author’s Note: any and all comments are appreciated <3
x
You peek into the main throne room where your adoptive dad is. He is sitting on his throne going through paperwork with a demon by his side. Maybe if you go the back way, your dad won’t see you sneaking out… again. It’s his own damn fault that he’s trapping you in Hell. You hate it here. You hate everything about it. You hate demons. You hate the King of Hell. You hate the torture. You want to live life on Earth but your dad doesn’t want you to get mixed up with humans.
After all, you’re only half-human.
There are many doors in and out of Hell, and some of them aren’t even guarded. You’ve been here long enough to know which ones are safe and which ones are heavily guarded. You’re out in record time and already on Earth, loving the feel of the sun on your skin. Everything about Earth is amazing; you’re not sure why people hate it so much. You love the waterfalls, babbling brooks, heavily guarded forests with tall trees, mountains that seem to reach the sky, gentle winds, and sandy beaches.
Why would anyone want to leave here?
There is only one person you came here to see, so you head over to the rendezvous point and wait for him. Ten minutes later, you hear the delicious rumble of the Impala pulling into the parking lot. Sam steps out and you go running into his arms.
“Sam!”
He catches you so you can wrap your legs and arms around his body, and you kiss him like you’ve been wanting to do since your last hook-up. It’s been so long since you’ve gotten to feel his touch and kiss his lips. Your dad likes to keep you locked up in Hell for as long as he can. He doesn’t like you embracing your human side.
“I’ve missed you,” you whisper against his lips. “It’s been hell waiting to see you again.”
“I’m here now. I got us a room.” He sets you back on your feet and guides you to the room he booked for the night. “It’s not luxury but—”
“It’s perfect. Trust me, I’ve lived worse. This is actually an upgrade. Where’s Dean?”
“Back home.”
“He was okay with you taking his precious car?” you grin.
“He might have been drunk when I asked him.” You giggle. “So, how’s Hell?”
“Hell. Crowley doesn’t see that I hate it there. I keep finding new ways to escape no matter how much security he has.”
Your dad doesn’t approve of your relationship with a human, especially a Winchester. Not like you care what he thinks. You are in love with Sam, and it’s because of your human side that you can feel things like love, pain, and happiness. Your biological dad was a demon who came to Earth and fucked a human woman. Crowley was the one who found you and took you under his wing. You’re not sure if he did that to have a daughter or to have a powerful Cambion on his side.
You gained the powers of a demon while still having your human soul in you. You’re very powerful but you don’t like using your powers. You didn’t ask to be born this way so you’re going to do everything you can to hold onto your humanity. Sam is that anchor. Without him, you’ll succumb to the dark side.
It’s rare to have an entire night with Sam so you two spend it talking, catching up, making out, and enjoying each other's company. By the morning, you two hadn’t gotten any sleep. He’ll probably rent this for another night and sleep before going back to Dean, but you have to get back to Hell before Crowley notices you’re gone… if he hasn’t already. He hasn’t sent a fleet of demons after you like last time, so you think you’re in the clear.
“I have to go,” you whisper.
“Stay one more hour.”
“If Crowley knows I’m gone, I’m in big trouble. That might mean trouble for you.”
“Eh, I can handle a few demons he sends my way.”
“Still. I love you but I have to go,” you say and kiss him quickly. “Until next time, my love.”
You use the same way you took when you escaped Hell in hopes your dad didn’t notice you were gone. He tends to leave you alone when you’re in one of your moods, so you made sure to act out right before leaving.
Hell seems quiet when you get back but you don’t let that fool you. Usually, that means your dad is out conducting business but that can also mean he’s set a trap for you knowing you were gone. You sneak past a few of the guards and get to your room but you’re not safe yet. You close the door as quietly as you can but jump when you notice a shadow in the corner of your room.
“Where have you been? Do you know what time it is?” Crowley scolds.
“You’re not my dad,” you roll your eyes and take off your jacket. “Stop acting like one.”
“I am the one who raised you!”
“Only because you had to, not because wanted to. You wanted a soldier on your side but I don’t want to embrace my demonic side! That just pissed you off!”
“Where have you been?” he asks again.
“Does it matter?”
Crowley gets up and walks over to you. He leans in and sniffs the air only to roll his eyes in annoyance.
“You’ve been with Moose.”
“If you knew then why did you ask?”
You push away from him and open the door to let him know that you don’t want him in your room anymore.
“You know I don’t want you seeing him.”
“Tell me why. What has he ever done to you?”
Your dad laughs as if you’re a fucking comedian.
“Squirrel and Moose are a pain in my ass ever since I became the King of Hell!”
“How is that my problem?”
“Watch your tone, young lady,” Crowley glares.
“I am going to bed. Please leave,” you sigh.
Despite still having this conversation, he walks to your door.
“You are not to see that man ever again. He is a hunter who hunts our kind.”
“Your kind. I am not a full demon! I still have my humanity left, and that’s something you’ll never have.”
“You are the child and I am the adult!” You’re not really a child, just much younger than he is. “You are not to see him again. In fact, I’ll have someone assigned to you to make sure you stay here. You have duties here you need to fulfill.”
“I hate you!” you scream and slam the door in his face.
“Kids,” Crowley rolls his eyes.
Crowley kept true to his word and kept you locked in Hell for the next couple of days. Thank God for wireless internet because that’s how you’re able to contact Sam from Hell.
I am going insane here. Crowley wants this perfect demon daughter. I just want to be with you.
Maybe you can. Dean and I are going on a hunt involving a shapeshifter who robs people and takes on their forms to steal whatever they have left. They “kill themselves” as soon as they’re done and move on to the next victim. We tracked him down to a ball of some kind. Want to join us?
Say less. Where is it?
As soon as you got the address from Sam, you concocted your plan of escaping again. This time, you’re going to use your powers to get what you want. If Crowley wants to send his minions after you to keep you here, you’re doing whatever it takes to escape their clutches.
You open your door and the guard standing there turns to face you.
“Are you really going to keep me locked in my room?”
“No. I’m here to escort you to wherever you want to go.”
“How charming. I’d like something to eat. Can I do that alone or do you need to be up my ass for it?” The guard shifts uncomfortably in his spot and you roll your eyes. “Come on.”
You leave your room but quickly turn and place your hand on his head. You pull him into you and use your powers on him. His entire body glows orange as you slowly kill him from the inside. He’s just following the King’s orders but he’s an unnecessary evil. You drag him into your room and throw him on your bed to make it look like you’re sleeping. If Crowley comes in, you might fool him long enough to meet up with Sam.
You don’t have clothes for a ball so you’ll have to get some when you get topside. You use the same way as you did last time to leave Earth and end up in the city that Sam and Dean are in. It’s easy to snag an outfit with your demonic powers in a city that has a bunch of rich people.
Once dressed in a beautiful golden dress with open sleeves, you head to the beautiful mansion that already is flowing with a bunch of people. Sam and Dean are at the front when Sam spots you. He looks so ravishing in his tuxedo but he has metaphorical stars in his eyes.
“Where did you get this?”
“Do you like it?” you grin and spin for him.
“I love it.”
“Damn, Y/N, you know how to clean up for a demon.”
Dean hasn’t yet come around to you dating his brother. He only tolerates it because you’re half-human.
“It’s always nice to see you, Dean.”
“Seriously, you look stunning,” Sam compliments.
“Thank you,” you grin and kiss him. The music is very elegant and slow-moving but the DJ puts on something that you can waltz to. “Let’s dance!”
“Let’s slow it down a bit. Grab a partner and join us on the dancefloor.”
Sam looks at his brother who nods.
“Go dance, Romeo. I’ll keep an eye out for our shifter.”
“Yay! Let’s go.”
You grab Sam’s hand and drag him to the dancefloor where there are other couples. The woman stands on one side of the dancefloor while the men stand across from you. They bow down and the ladies curtsy at the start of the dance, and you step toward Sam. You extend your hand to him and he goes to grab it but stops before he can make contact with your skin. You step in a small circle around him before suddenly switching positions.
You’ve never done the waltz before so you’re letting the music guide you. You’re not entirely sure you know what you’re doing but Sam takes over. He’s done a few of these dances in college so he knows some of what he’s doing. Meanwhile, Dean is scouting the area for the shapeshifter, content with doing this by himself. A shifter is nothing and he doesn't really need his brother.
At the end of the dance, you pull Sam close and kiss him lovingly. You pull away when you feel a shift in the air, and you look to the right to see demons standing at the entrance of the mansion. Shit, they found you. Crowley found you. If you split from Sam now, they’ll leave him alone and go after you. They won’t dare go after a Winchester. That’s like going into a gunfight with a knife.
“Meet me by the gazebo outside,” you whisper to him.
You’re gone before Sam has a chance to question you. You leave the room before the demons catch you. Maybe you can make it out of here without them knowing. However, you can’t leave without saying goodbye to Sam. You make it to the gazebo outside and wait for Sam to come. The gazebo is fitted with golden lights that make it look like it was torn right out of a fantasy book.
“Hey, what are we doing out here?” Sam whispers from behind you.
“Demons are here. They haven’t seen me yet but that means Crowley knows I’m gone. I killed the guard outside my room.”
“You’re quite the troublemaker, aren’t you?” Sam chuckles.
“Crowley thinks he can tell me who I can and cannot date. He hates you.”
“Yeah, he has good reason to.”
The feeling you got when you felt the demons in the room is getting stronger. They’re looking for you and will find you if you don’t move now.
“Shit, I have to go now. They’re coming for me. I wish I could stay here forever with you. Dean needs you and I need you to not get killed by my dad’s minions.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right. When will I see you again?”
“Probably sooner than you think. I’m more powerful than Crowley realizes. He can’t hold me.”
You kiss Sam before parting ways with him. You hate the situation you’re in but you love sneaking around with Sam. It’s the thrill of the chase, and someone like Crowley isn’t going to keep you from being with your one true love.

Lament of the Metatron
I did not have "become an amateur biblical apocrypha scholar" on my 2023 bingo card, but here we are, and I’m going to make you feel bad for hating the Metatron. No, really. A lot of different ✨clues ✨in S2 lead us to the Book of Enoch, which describes how the Metatron came to be. (If you would like to read what the Books of Enoch have to say about maybe-Crowley and maybe-Aziraphale, read this meta.)
There are three books of Enoch: 1 Enoch, 2 Enoch, and 3 Enoch, and after reading them I’ve concluded that they are almost certainly a major source text for Good Omens, at very least with respect to the Metatron. The translation that I used is 116 pages and quite dense, so there will be multiple metas about it (I should also note that I’ve taken great liberties with reorganizing the source text, for brevity). This one addresses the origin of the Metatron and his likely S1 and S3 motivations.
The Story
To quickly summarize the backstory: after Adam and Eve leave the Garden of Eden, a bunch of angels go to Earth, transgress against God (by having children with humans) and piss Her off. So She decides She must flood the Earth to wipe them and all their children and human associates out.
During this age of angelic iniquity, Enoch, a righteous man, the 7th generation from Adam and great-grandfather of Noah, receives visions of the coming flood.
Later, Enoch is lifted up to Heaven by a whirlwind. He gets an angel-guided tour of Heaven and visits what I will call The Mountain of Souls. He sees a mountain with four chambers and asks what they are for. Raphael states that they are for the souls of the dead, where they will be kept until Judgment Day. Enoch asks why they are separated. Raphael answers:
One for the souls of the righteous
One for the souls of sinners, who are buried in the earth, to await judgment, and on that day they will be punished
One for those who complain to, or petition, God (including Abel, who was slain by Cain)
One for the souls of those who are not righteous, “but their souls will not be killed on the day of judgment, nor will they rise from here.” (so perhaps a permanent purgatory?)
Later in his journey, Enoch sees the Valley of Judgment. Again, Raphael answers Enoch’s questions, describing “this accursed valley, is for those who are cursed for ever… [for] all those who speak with their mouths against the Lord… and here will be their place of Judgment.” Enoch comments that it would be better for the sinners if they had never been born.
Enoch also sees where the righteous will go after Judgment: “And in those days my eyes saw the Place of the Chosen Ones of Righteousness and Faith… And I saw their dwelling, under the Wings of the Lord of Spirits, and all the righteous and chosen shone in front of him, like the light of fire…. There I wished to dwell.”
The Second Parable of 1 Enoch describes how God will open the Book of the Living when the Chosen One arrives, and so Judgment Day will begin.
Enoch is taken before God and violently transformed from a human into the Metatron, a celestial being: “And I fell upon my face, and my whole body melted, and my spirit was transformed; and I cried out in a loud voice, in the spirit of power.” After Enoch is transfigured into Metatron, he is made to write 366 volumes of what I will call the Book of Deeds, wherein he writes the name of all men, everything they have done, and what afterlife they are destined for.
After sixty days spent in Heaven, angels return the Metatron to Earth to dwell with his sons for… and this is where the different books of Enoch seem to disagree whether it was for one year or thirty days, but either way, he goes back to Earth with an explicit time limit to explain to his children everything he has seen and to teach them the ways of righteousness. Which he does. The fifth book of 1 Enoch, the Epistle, describes Enoch badgering his children to be not just pretendy-good but properly good, and advising them to suffer and turn the other cheek, etc., so that they are found righteous before God on Judgment Day. He knows that at the end of this visit, he will return to Heaven, will never speak to his sons or the rest of his family for the rest of their lives, and that a Great Flood is coming to wipe out everyone on Earth except for his great-grandson Noah and Noah’s three sons, and that whatever is written in the books by then is what his other sons and grandsons and great-grandsons will be judged by on Judgment Day.
It is worth noting here that a separate scholarly analysis points out that once Enoch is transformed into Metatron, he never eats again: “Since the time when the Lord anointed me with the ointment of his glory, food has not come into me, and earthly pleasure my soul does not remember…” This is meant to show how his journey from human to celestial is opposite that of Adam and Eve, who were nourished by celestial food until they left the Garden, and from then on had to sate themselves with “nourishment for the beasts.”
At the end of this visit to Earth, he issues a final warning to his children and neighbors about the coming Judgment Day, then ascends to Heaven to rule over all the angels and to keep the Book of Deeds.
So what should we take from this?
Enoch, a good man, God’s favorite, is given visions of the destruction of Earth, abducted and taken to Heaven where he is shown the Mountain of Souls, the Valley of Damnation, and the Place of the Chosen Ones of Righteousness, he is transformed into an angel so that he may never enjoy Earthly delights again, he is told that everyone he knows, including all of his children and their children, except for one great-grandson and three great-great-grandsons, will die, and that he has limited time to coach them on how to avoid being punished, tortured, and destroyed forever, and even if he succeeds, they will be trapped in the Mountain of Souls until Judgment Day, and then he is taken from them, and given the responsibility of maintaining the records by which souls will be judged.
So let's talk about motivation.
Here we find an incredibly powerful, incredibly lonely human-turned-angel (because the other angels are both afraid and disrespectful of him), whose entire family was destroyed before his eyes and who are as of right now, as they have been for *checks watch* 5,000 years, trapped in a celestial mountain of purgatory, and the only way he can ever see them again is to bring about the Second Coming, for only on Judgment Day may they be released from the Mountain of Souls and join him before the Throne of Glory, if they heeded his warnings and are found worthy in the sight of God.
This is a highly motivated, highly traumatized anti-villain. Which is possibly the worst thing to happen to Aziraphale because if Azi has a soft spot for anyone, it’s someone whose children were taken from them by God.
******************************
For evidence of why we can selectively ignore/reinterpret Neil's statement re: the Metatron's human past, please read this meta
I read the Book of Enoch from front to back, twice, but if you want to check my work (or write a response meta!) you can find the source material here and here.
If you would like to read what the Books of Enoch have to say about maybe-Crowley and maybe-Aziraphale, read this meta.

2024 Fic Roundup Q and A
By @cheeseplants
What fandoms do you write in?
Good Omens
How many words have you published in 2024?
I had to do some rough addition as some of my stuff was started in 2023 and finished in 2024, so around 214,000 words.
What is your greatest achievement this year?
Just branching out in general. I wrote my first fic late 2023 after watching s2, but hadn’t read any fic prior. It wasn’t until early this year that I got attached to GOAD on Reddit. It helped me better my writing, explore different topics, and get back into art.
What are your favourite top three fics you wrote this year?
Why Does the Ortolan Sing? E, 120k words. My first human AU, Ortolan deals with some really difficult subject matter, but everyone who has talked to me about really loves the story. It’s one very dear to me.
The Modern Prometheus E, 34k words. My Frankenstein AU. It came about after a conversation of if Frankenstein having sex with his monster is necro or mofu. 😅 What was supposed to be a smutty one-off ended up a multi-chapter fic that I’m proud of.
The Bookseller’s Sin E, 4.2k words. Aka Vampire smut. What it says on the tin.
What was your biggest pit of despair moment?
Comparison is the thief of joy. Nuff said.
What have you learned?
I learned so much from the GOAD writer’s guild. My first fic was published in one go after being written in Notes on my phone. No beta and no past reading or writing fics. This was September of 2023. Since then, I’ve learned better use of em dashes, different ways to incorporate smut, writing in different tenses, poetry, and how to switch POV without being jarring. I’ve learned how to make more cohesive stories, develop characterizations that are unique and not entirely reliant on canon precedent, and build out descriptions.
What fic did you want to do but never made it off the ground?
I have a long sequel for Queen of Hell started, but due to the iffy grounds of consent in it, I wasn’t ready to keep on with it. I go back and add lines on occasion, but it’s not a priority right now.
Did you beta any fics? Any favs you want to shout out?
I did beta for two gift fics: Against All Expectations by sixbynine and Unhallowed Provenance by @nosferatini
What three fics have you read this year that you love?
When the Lanterns Are Lit by koala2all, G, 5.7k words
Not my only Friend by @isiaiowin, G, 567 words
Friends at the Funfair by ghst_signal and @isiaiowin, T, 7.6k words
What ideas are percolating for next year?
I’ve been working on Crowley’s perspective for Ortolan as well as a heavy angst one-off backstory for Hastur’s fall.
Who do you want to thank?
@goodomensafterdark for being the place I met amazing people. @isiaiowin for the poetry club and being my beta. @depressedpenguin2 @adverbian @fishey-me and mills for an awesome goblin meetup. @sspooksart for getting me back into art. @nosferatini for the opportunity to draw for her Factory Settings pod fic. @maryflanner for the huge confidence boost.

disclaimer this is not meant to attack the person who made the post, just trying to make a point
if everything was exactly the same, book and tv show, except aziraphale and crowley being played by a man and a woman and presenting as such, would neil’s answer still be interpreted as disgust towards straight people/ heterosexual sex? would this post be worded in the same way? because they’d still be non-binary and asexual, but i assure you not a single soul would ever accuse neil gaiman of viewing straight people as gross just because he said a kiss between a man and a woman (playing sexless beings) wasn’t meant to be sexual.
for example beelzebub and gabriel are in love, played by a woman and a man, and nobody complained or assumed neil had something against heterosexuality when they didn’t have sex (or even kiss) for the exact same reason of aziracrow.
angels and demons in good omens are sexless, whether they’re played by men, women or non-binary actors. aziraphale and crowley present as male but it doesn’t mean they ARE men. I know it’s important to recognize that yes, in 2023 the show would have had a different impact if they weren’t both played by male actors, but this doesn’t change the fact that the characters are not male.
also in my opinion aziraphale and crowley loving each other in a human way and loving humanity in general doesn’t mean they want to be humans and do everything humans do. aziraphale likes to eat, crowley doesn’t do it much, crowley sleeps while we never see aziraphale do so, aziraphale wears real clothes, crowley manifests his clothes and doesn’t bother buying them or getting a human job. so no, their love for humanity doesn’t imply that they automatically want to experience every single aspect of it and their kiss can be intended as romantic but not sexual.

Summary: Dean is a marine biologist who is going on an expedition to find the lost city of Atlantis. Castiel is a mermaid who has dedicated his life to protecting his home city, which happens to be Atlantis. Dean doesn’t know Castiel’s secret and Castiel is determined to keep it that way.
Excerpt: The water sparkled under the midday sun as Castiel swam gracefully through the depths of Lake Overview. His iridescent tail glimmered with every movement. Surveying the area was Castiel's duty as a guardian of the lake and to make sure that humans didn’t get too close to the portal that was located in the lake because there are different portals to Atlantis in all large bodies of water. His keen eyes noticed the ripples on the water's surface, disturbed by the forceful splash nearby. Intrigued, he swiftly swam towards the source of the commotion. There, struggling against the weight of his waterlogged clothes, was a human man. Panic and desperation filled the man’s eyes as he fought to stay afloat, but the more he struggled, the closer he came to being claimed by the depths. Castiel's heart raced with a sense of urgency as he realized the human’s predicament. Without hesitation, Castiel propelled himself forward. He reached the man just in time to witness the man's foot becoming trapped between two unforgiving rocks. Time seemed to slow as Castiel's mind raced for a solution. Summoning his strength, Castiel exerted his mermaid magic. He wrapped his slender arms around the other man’s waist, his touch imbued with a calming energy that washed away the panic. With a powerful surge of his tail, Castiel freed the human’s foot from its rocky prison. Together, they ascended through the water, Castiel guided him to the surface like a protective angel. Breaking through the water's veil, the human gasped for precious air, his breaths ragged but grateful. Castiel hovered nearby, his luminous eyes filled with relief. He dragged the man to the beach and stared at him for a few seconds, wanting to remember what he looked like, what he smelled like— other than salt water. He wanted to know what he sounded like. Castiel heard other voices and knew he had to leave so he jumped back into the water disappearing into the depths of the lake.

Fictober 2023 #17
Prompt #17 - "I never said it was going to be easy."
Fanfiction: Good Omens
Rating: G
Warnings: None
Pairing: Ineffable Husbands/Aziracrow
Other Notes: In which Crowley and Aziraphale go incognito, and it isn't easy. Fluff. Just fluff. 533 words!
Aziraphale raised a hand to miracle his tea.
“Ahhh!” The yell of remonstrance made the angel jump. His hand jerked and bumped into the mug. The mug tipped over, and cold tea splashed itself all over the front of his trousers.
“Crowley!” Aziraphale cried, arising in distress as he shook tea from his hands and took in the state of his damp trousers, which were now sticking unpleasantly to his skin.
“You know what we decided, Angel,” the demon said, wagging a finger at Aziraphale as he turned back to the bookshelf beside his chair and continued reshelving, “We have to lay low, live as humans for a while til things calm down. Not attract attention.”
“Yes, but—” Aziraphale protested, lips pursed petulantly as he tried to come up with a good reason to keep protesting.
“I never said it would be easy,” Crowley raised his eyebrows over his shoulder. But, upon catching sight of the angel’s pitiful expression and damp-cat aura, he relented. “Come on, Angel!” the demon said exuberantly, dropping his pile of books, “Get changed and let’s go have lunch, that’ll make you feel better.”
Sufficiently mollified, Aziraphale stomped upstairs. Moments later he returned, dressed in an entirely different suit. Crowley, who had been leaning against the door, stopped twirling his keys around his finger.
“Why’ve you changed?”
“I couldn’t go like that.”
“But only your trousers were wet.”
“Crowley,” Aziraphale drew himself up and fixed the demon with a severe glare, “I could not possibly wear the same suit with different trousers.” Knowing better than to argue with the angel on matters of fashion, Crowley shrugged and held open the door. Aziraphale swept past him, and together they slid into the Bentley. Once it had purred to life, Crowley pulled the car away from the curb at an entirely reasonable speed. The Bentley revved in protest, but Crowley merely patted the dashboard.
“We all have to get in on the act,” he reminded the car, which immediately began to play a selection of bebop. One interminable drive later, they had arrived at the Ritz, though they had had to search between the cushions of the car to find sufficient funds to pay for parking. This barrier overcome, they passed through the familiar doors and were approached by the maître’d.
“Good afternoon sir, do you have a booking?” the impeccably dress host asked as Crowley swaggered over to him.
“Antony J. Crowley,” Crowley, who had of course never before bothered to book, merely ensured that his name was always on the list, said confidently. The maître’d consulted his tablet.
“Mmm, I’m afraid we don’t have a booking under that name, sir.” Crowley’s jaw went slack.
“What.”
“Yes, I’m terribly sorry but we are at capacity this afternoon, I’m afraid we will not be able to accommodate you without a booking.” With a slight bow, the maître’d slid sideways to greet the next couple who had come through behind them. Crowley, still frozen in shock, only turned his head when Aziraphale coughed lightly and rocked on the balls of his feet, unable to keep the smugness from his voice.
“Well, dear, you never said it was going to be easy.”

The last of my art for the Crowley BigBang 2023 : Crowley Against Humanity event. This one is a colab with the lovely author Moony (SilasBaran on AO3) who really pulled out all the stops writing her fabulous fic, so I tried to do the same with the art to match.
“This Gentle Concord-”
Fergus MacLeod, manager at a nightclub, gets rescued from a robbery by Jimmy Novak. Impressed by the latter’s fighting skills he offers Jimmy a job as a bouncer at his club. Jimmy, who just lost his retail job accepts.
What seemed like a normal coincidence rapidly escalates into a hunt involving demons, angels and a mysterious carnival, during which both men have to face one final question: Do they want to stay human or get their powers and memories back?
Come read it here

flies go up, the prince of hell does not
Rating: General Audiences

Words: 3, 844
Chapters: 1/1
Summary: Beelzebub knew how much Gabriel loved heights, how at home he felt amongst the clouds, and though the thought of being up any higher than on his shoulders made Beelzebub want to throw up a little in their own mouth, there was no harm in trying.
When Gabriel discovers a climbable monument in the centre of Edinburgh, he is beside himself with excitement. Beelzebub, having spent most of their existence beneath ground, is beside themself with something else.
Opening:
There were, Beelzebub reflected, many fragments of Hell in Edinburgh. The scenery was better – that went without saying – but the constant flow of people and the narrow streets reminded them of the place that had once been their kingdom. Looking out towards the Old Town, Beelzebub leaned further over the balustrade and tilted their face a little towards the sun. Feeling the warmth on their skin was still a novelty, though that was as much to do with the summer showers that they’d been experiencing as it was to do with not being a resident on Earth for too long. Beelzebub had witnessed rain before, had seen it sent down from the heavens and watched it drench humans within seconds, but experiencing it had been a different matter entirely. They had been walking with Gabriel along North Bridge, towards a cafe that had caught his eye last time they had been in the New Town, when a sudden downpour had forced them to sprint along the bridge and seek shelter in a doorway. Gabriel had immediately stepped out in it again, marvelling at the coolness against his cheek, and Beelzebub, after getting over the initial shock of the temperature, had laughingly watched him kick spray from gathering puddles in their direction.

Hello! I really love The Sometimes Wife and occasionally find other Regency Era fics to enjoy. Do you have any recommendations, particularly for human AUs?
Hi! We have a healthy #regency tag, so do check that out. Here are some more to add to the collection...
Entailed by FeralTuxedo (E)
Anthony Crowley, a single gentleman of seven-and-forty and guardian to two unmarried sisters, is awaiting the arrival of the young clergyman who is set to inherit his estate. A marriage between him and one of the Miss Crowleys would be advantageous for both. But Mr Fell has other plans.
Remain Forever Yours by TawnyOwl95 (E)
Seven years ago Aziraphale Device was persuaded out of accompanying his dearest friend to Egypt. Now a famous explorer, Anthony Crowley is back in London and looking for a wife. Aziraphale is determined to be happy for him, despite his own breaking heart.
More Than by NaroMoreau (E)
Crowley would like to spend another year without marrying, especially when thrust-forced to pick a husband. She refuses to cave in on a matter of principles. She refuses to cave in specifically on a matter of not wanting to be married to Lucien Morningstar. But she might need a hand to break free from such a burden. And who knows? She might even find something else along the way.
Waltzing Vaguely Downwards by WorseOmens (NR)
Lord Crowley was not looking for a potential wife, when he arrived at this party. That doesn’t mean he won’t find one. Part one of the Good Omens Regency AU: The Serpent & The Flaming Sword series
Morningstar Abbey by Andromeda4004 (T)
No one who had ever seen Aziraphale Fell in his youth would have supposed him born to be a hero. His situation in life, the character of his father and mother, his own person and disposition, were all equally against him. But when a gentleman is to be a hero, the attractions of a comfortable, quiet home cannot prevent him. Something must and will happen to throw his destiny in his way. One should never forget that between a hero and his destiny, one will always find a villain. Trusting parish rector Aziraphale attempts to navigate Regency Bath, the marriage market, and the complexities of his own heart in this take on Jane Austen's Northanger Abbey, written for the Ineffably Austen event, March 2023.
Sunday's Child by ladydragona, SylWritesStuff (E)
For a few years of their childhood, Aziraphale Eastgate and Anthony Crowley are inseparable until tragedies begin to strike the Eastgate family. After fifteen years, Aziraphale's become a servant to his own family and Crowley's about to inherit his father's fortune. The only thing that stands in Crowley's way is his Uncle Lucian's tight hold on finances until Crowley marries or comes of age. And the marriage his uncle has in mind for him is out of the question. Thankfully, a chance encounter puts these former friends within range of one another again. And Aziraphale, who's never managed to fall out of love with his former best friend, can't refuse a proposal which offers so much promise. It might hurt, but it might just be glorious too.
