Hey, so I ran into a bit of a problem with my stupid car. I drove a pretty old model since I didn't have the money to afford a new one (I'm still training to be a doctor). But it finally broke down and now I need to get it fixed. The guy at the auto repair place told me I could borrow one of their models for the next few days for an "extra cost". I need a car to get to work so I was happy to accept and they gave me one of their old lifted trucks. But now I'm starting to wonder what exactly this extra cost is and why I'm suddenly so interested in cars and auto repair. I have a few days left with this truck before I need to return it so any advice would help.
Well, the first extra cost is the scorn and ridicule you get in college. This truck is really embarrassing. A gas guzzling behemoth that you need three parking spaces for. And you literally have to climb into the car. For someone for whom the walk from the parking lot to the lecture hall is already sport, this is of course a horror. You park at the end of the parking lot so that nobody can see you. But on the second day, pictures of you getting out of your car go viral on campus. It was a shitty idea to take the car.
Sitting alone in the canteen, you watch the video of yourself again… Yeah, it looks really silly, you'd be making fun of the lanky guy in that huge car yourself. Even though you'll be rid of this beast in a few days, thank God, and when you can finally drive your Prius again, you should do something for your body. It's not by chance that they say "Mens sana in corpore sano"… You're looking for a gym where no one from your faculty is guaranteed to be studying. A little outside. For men only. No courses, only iron. I'm sure none of your Crossfit or Pilates friends go there. All you need is for someone to post pictures of you using dumbbells online. You join online and arrange a trial session for tonight. You don't know yet whether this is a good idea.
You roll into the parking lot. A parking lot full of pickup trucks. A few lifted trucks too. But yours stands out. Yours is really huge. Somehow you're proud of it. You jump out of the cab and grab your gym bag from the passenger footwell. You've never been here before. But somehow you feel at home. The guy at reception greets you with a fist bump. "Hey, welcome to the dudes-only gym! I'm Chuck. You gotta be Lance, right? Sweet wheels you're rockin' there.". You reply that your name is actually "Lanny", but Chuck just grins and says that a guy like you with a car like that is hardly called Lanny.
Chuck shows you the gym, the changing rooms, the showers and, after you have changed into your workout clothes, takes you to the training area. A bunch of musclemen are sweating on the weights, grunting. The air is thick with sweat and testosterone. Chuck scrutinizes you. "Well, you're no newbie to pumping iron, bro. But a few more pounds of mass would really beef you up. Let me walk you through some of my top moves." This is actually the first time you've ever pumped iron… But you don't contradict me. And follow Chuck's instructions. You train together with Chuck for the first hour. After that, he has to go back to reception. It's only 8:00 pm. The gym is just starting to fill up. The guys here are not men of big words. A nod of the head. That's usually the whole conversation. Apart from the grunt you let out when you finish the last repetition of a sentence with your last ounce of strength, you don't say a word for the next few hours.
Chuck comes onto the training area at 00:30. You are about to get your biceps on fire. "Big boy, it's time, I want to call it a day." He stares at the tent in your pants. The thing is, if you give it your all on the dumbbells, you'll get a hard-on. The two of you are alone on the training area. You finish your last set. You check the result with a double bicep pose in front of the mirror. You pull down your pants. And you and Chuck call it a day.
The next day you park your baby right in front of the university entrance. It's still early, but you want to be back at the gym early. The early bird catches the worm, as they say at home with mom and dad on the farm.
Dann all this medicine shit is terribly tiring and boring. You almost fall asleep in the first lecture. In the cafeteria, you try to talk to a sane person about chiseling iron or tuning engines. But all the idiots here can talk about is medicine and patients and stuff like that. By 4 p.m. you can't take it anymore. You need some normal people around you now. You swap your doctor's coat for a sleeveless checked flannel shirt. You meet one of your professors in the hallway. He asks you if you are one of the janitors. He has a problem with his car. Finally, a sensible task. You were hoping he had a problem with his engine. You would have liked to have had a look at it. He drives a BMW 540, a cool car. But unfortunately, he just changed the language in his on-board computer from English to German. A little something for you. He thanks you and slips you five dollars. Pathetic nerds!
Chuck greets you with a fist bump. Rituals are rituals. He thinks his ass is still sore from yesterday. You should take it easy on him today. You grin, inspect his tight ass and say it's a disgrace. But then hed probably have a sore throat tomorrow. You laugh. And you head off to the training area. Too bad about Chuck. But there'll be another ass to fill today. There are lots of tight asses here. But first you work on your own. Leg day!
The next day, park your baby right outside the entrance. It's still early, but you want to be back at the gym early. The early bird catches the worm, as they say at home with mom and dad on the farm. In the workshop, they call you the truck doc. Because you can fix any problem. And because you once studied medicine. That was a long time ago. It was an idea you had in your youth. But you're not a guy who works with his head. You work with your calloused hands. And with your heart. And your heart beats for mighty engines and mighty wheels!

Poll For The Girlies 🎀
I’m wondering, what are your guys main form of working out? Pilates, yoga, weight lifting, cardio, etc? And why do you do those as your main and what do you recommend others? Let’s share the knowledge and help inspire some other girlies who are in or may be starting their fitness journey! I myself do lots of walking, mat pilates, and yoga. I am going to be trying reformer Pilates next semester and will be going back to weight lifting a couple times a week next semester as well. I recommend low impact exercise (yoga and Pilates) for keeping cortisol levels low, strength training to build muscles in whatever area if your body you want, and any form of cardio to increase endurance, stamina, and heart health!
please reblog/comment, I want to see what the most common answers are and share the inspiration and motivation for everyone who may be thinking of what to do to start exercising or how to switch up their own routine!

How Band of Brothers Characters Would Act as a Gym Partner/ Workout Buddy:
Dick Winters: Puts everyone (including any instructor teaching a class you attend) to shame. As a result, gets far more attention than he wants, and sets up a home gym soon after (Saves money, less attention). Lewis Nixon: Starts with strong goals of working out at 6am. Late the first day- workout plans fall apart after that. Ronald Spiers: Already there by the time you head to the gym. Has been working out for half an hour. Has a fitness app subscription he actually follows. Carwood Lipton: Possibly the best workout partner. Follows the damn plan and gives you a high five after ever hard set. Joseph Liebgott: Claims he's skinny, so he doesn't have to go to the gym. Says you can lift him if you're so intent on weight training. Floyd Talbert: Loves the act of going to the gym (I.E: Choosing an outfit, picking a water bottle, having people look at you when you walk in), rarely keeps to a plan. Usually ends up on the elliptical watching TV and getting his steps. Also has a fitness app subscription that he rarely uses. Donald Malarkey: The eagerest workout buddy. 100 percent signs up for those workout classes around different artists (I.E: Dua Lipa Step Classes, Lady Gaga Cycle). Buys smoothies as soon as you finish your work out. Bill Guarnere: Either doesn't work out at all or does CrossFit. Ends up injuring himself by going too hard and grumbling about not being able to work out for months afterwards. Joe Toye: Also does CrossFit, but actually in moderation. CrossFit cultists scare him. George Luz: Goes to yoga classes with Babe. 100000 percent hides the fact he goes to yoga classes with Babe. Babe Heffron: Goes to yoga classes with George. 100000 percent tells everyone he goes to yoga classes with George. Doc Roe: Swims at the local recreation centre. Is best friends with the old people who swim laps, and they give each other a mutual nod of respect every time he shows up before work. Skip Muck: Works out three times a week, doing whatever he wants. Doesn't have a plan he follows. Buck Compton: All-American athlete. Nobody wants to work out with him (including you), because he takes everything too seriously. Bull Randleman: Refuses to pay for a gym. Does farm work for weightlifting. John Martin: Goes to a super-elite bougie gym. Refuses to tell anyone where he goes to the gym, because it's thirty minutes to an hour a day, ALL TO HIMSELF. Ready to kill George when he helps half the platoon track him one day and gatecrashes his workout.

I'm getting a lot of questions about the blue bikini woman seen in the video on the boat with Sam Heughan and friends a few days ago in Marina Del Rey/Los Angeles. I'll summarize the INFO I have so far in this post and add reblogs here as I get more...
It is definitely this woman named Susie Nicole. Her last name is Evans. But she is NOT Susie Evans, who was a contestant on the show The Bachelor. I repeat, it is not Susie Evans from The Bachelor. 👇 This Susie is a different Susie.
Here is what I found out...in no particular order. I was sent a an IG story screencap of her wearing the same scarf as the screencap from the boat video. So, that's more confirmation it's her in the boat video with Sam. She seems to be living in Austin, Texas. She lived in Dallas, Texas before that. She loves L.A. and Miami. Was in Miami a few months ago, was also in Mexico City. It's definitely her in the video on the boat with Sam. She is into fitness and has a lot of pics on her account working out. She does crossfit, lifts weights, cycling, etc. She is fit and petite. She has the obligatory gusband, gay husband aka gay bff. I don't see any pics of a current boyfriend. She and Sam don't mutually follow. And we know that unless Sam was already following a woman and then they decided to date, he no longer follows women he dates. That was the case with his previous dates: Anna Modler, now Dier, and Monika Clarke. Yesterday, she posted an IG story from the beach in Santa Monica, with a view of the Santa Monica Pier. Someone else said she posted from the hotel Shutters On The Beach, and we know Sam loves that hotel. I do too. it's the perfect beach hotel.
I'm not saying they're dating, but I don't see her having a connection to any MPC people or anyone on the boat in that video, and Sam had just been in Texas, maybe they met there. Or found each other on the celeb dating app, Raya, and she joined him in L.A. Who knows...But I'll keep you posted if I find out anything else.
Just for fun, what are we thinking about their couple name? #samusie 🤗❤️

Random headcannons of the Radiator Springs folk: an alternative universe telling how the citizens stay (or don't stay) fit.
Fillmore: yoga obviously. And meditation, man.
Sarge: still follows a military regime of fitness. Basically strict pull-ups and military push-ups.
Flo and Remone: they've been secretly practicing ballroom dancing for years. Everything from salsa to the waltz. They tried swing dancing, but Ramon was afraid he was going to get one or both of them hospitalized. He really didn't want to give his wife a concussion. On the Ramon side of things, he may dabble in hip-hop dance and a little bit of breakdancing.
Sheriff: chasing bad guys and naps. But mostly naps lately.
Guido: he's a small guy with incredible body control. He does calisthenics, or street workouts. He has elite level skills. (He can do a full planche.) (This was inspired by going down a YouTube wormhole...) He has some pullup bars and parallel bars he made out of galivized pipe outside the tire shop. The industrial gym vibes. He also does a little breakdancing with Ramon.
Luigi: Owning a tire shop keeps him fit enough, he says.
Red: he'll run firefighter drills and make up obstacle courses. He likes the challenge of making up some sort of agility course and than seeing how long it takes him to complete it. He can do this thanks to his trusty stopwatch.
Lizzie: uses cans of vegetables as hand weights. Don't be fooled, she's stronger than she looks.
Sally: I'm gonna say she enjoyed swimming as a child. But now a days she doesn't really get to, living in the middle of the desert and all that. So now it's walking, biking, perhaps a bit of yoga.
Lightning: traditional gym bro stuff. But with terrible form. Deadlifts with a rounded back and everything. He's one mistake away from being in a gym fail video. (Seriously whatever you're thinking, it's worse.) When Doc was alive he pretty much gave up on trying to fix it and looked away. Cruz however is still trying fix.
Cruz: being a former trainer has served her well. Cruz will do just about anything. Her main jam is something pretty similar to crossfit. She does love her some olympic lifts. She's acquired a hodgepodge of hand-me-down work out equipment from Craigslist, garage sales and FB market place. One of her favorite finds is an old barbell and some random plates. It's a little rusty, not shiny like a new one, but it does the job. Essentially, she'll do whatever you throw at her. One of the cool things is she will jump in on the other citizens' workout regimes, for companionship or to encourage them. Obviously she trains with Lightning the most often, making sure he doesn't die of poor form. She does yoga with Fillmore, pushups/pull ups with Sarge. She'll go watch/do some other calisthenics with Guido. (She's almost got a handstand and L-sit down pat.) She'll run some drills with Red or hold his stopwatch for him. Chat with Lizzie while she does her daily exercises on her porch.
Oh crap I forgot Mater... *mind draws blank. cricket noises.* So, when Mater's not tinkering around the impound or drivin' his tow truck, he rides his old-school bicycle with high handlebars.

Experienced Lifter Katsuki Isn't Helping the New Girl Until He Does
Gym AU - Modern AU - Suggestive - Kacchako
Katsuki always works out alone and avoids annoying people who attend his gym’s scheduled classes. His gym mate, Eijirou, a CrossFit coach, talks him into attending one of his classes. He begrudgingly agrees with the promise that Eijirou will never ask him again. It’s Saturday morning, hot and sticky already, and he wants to get this fucking show on the road when a woman approaches him. Her workout attire hugs her every curve, highlighting her hips and full breasts. Not only that, but she’s also toned, clearly a girl who takes her fitness journey seriously. Katsuki blinks himself out of his stupor as she introduces herself as Ochako.
“I, um, see you working out a lot outside of the classes,” she says, arms folding behind her back. “Wanna be partners for the workout? Eijirou told me you would be here and that working out with you would be a good challenge for me.”
She wants to work out with him?! If she wants to get her ass reamed, he’ll gladly provide it, but he’s made a grave mistake about her. Ochako is strong as shit and has the stamina to match. She’s holding his pace and doing some exercises without modifying them. Watching her do pull-ups in those tiny fucking blue shorts has him licking his lips. When they finish, and he turns to leave, his body on fire, and not just from the workout, she calls out to him.
“Hey, I was wondering if you’d help me practice my barbell lifts?”
No. Absolutely fucking not. It isn’t his goddamn job. Katsuki quit coaching two years ago and wasn’t about to pick it up now. His gym time included him and weights, not him, the weights, and a tiny buff smoke show.
“Tch, ask Eijirou,” he snaps, walking over to his water bottle that’s close to the door leading into the protein and snack area. “He’s the damn coach!”
Ochako follows, not at all phased by his gruff response.
“He told me to ask you.”
Katsuki glares at Eijirou, who’s conveniently giving him a thumbs up. This stupid fucker is setting him up. Katsuki would kill him. He’s told him a million times he’s not looking for a fucking relationship. Katsuki will murder him, resuscitate him, and kill him again.
“I want to do a weightlifting competition in a few months,” she explains, stopping when Katsuki does. He grabs his water bottle with enough force to collapse it. “He said you’re really good with Olympic lifting.”
Katsuki’s chest fills with dread. If he says yes, which he fucking won’t, he’ll have to train with Ochako and her tiny shorts that ride up to show the underside of her ass for a while. It would be idiotic to say yes.
“I won’t go fucking easy on you,” Katsuki says, contradicting the hard no in his thoughts. “You do what I say, or we’re done, got it?”
Her face lights up, her excited expression wearing on his stiff demeanor. “Got it! Your name is Katsuki, right?”
He grunts in response. Ochako brushes it off and bows. “Nice to meet you!”
Nice in-fucking-deed. Katsuki and Ochako train a few times weekly, and she’s growing on him. She rotates between buying him protein powders, pre-workouts, and protein bars as compensation for his time, no matter how many times he yells at her not to.
“I’m gonna make you smile!” she tells him, and she’s gotten pretty close.
Katsuki finds himself thinking about her more than he should, picturing how fucking hot she looks pulling 113kg deadlifts off the floor with ease. She can do five sets of eight now, and that’s after 200-meter sprints. He’s staring at her ass more and eying her chest when he should be focused on spotting her bench press. He knows she’s noticed because she drags him into the locker rooms one day and gives him a shy but coy smile. Katsuki freezes as she wraps her arms around his shoulders.
“I really like you, Katsuki, and I think you want me as bad as I want you.”
“You’re a dumbass,” he croaks. “I never said that.”
She raises an eyebrow and puts enough pressure on his growing erection with her upper thigh that he thinks he might die.
“Your body shows me you’re interested, and it’s not the first time.” Ochako hooks a finger in the waistband of his shorts. “You think I don’t notice when you get hard around me? These don’t hide much, you know.”
Fuck.

Tips for the gym
Many of us go to the gym for a number of reasons, whether it's to stay healthy, build muscle or look good. I go to the gym to build muscle, lose body fat and build strength. If you're looking to build muscle in an optimal fashion, I have some steps for you to take that can help you achieve your goals. I've used these steps to help me along my gym journey and I along with others, can personally attest to their effectiveness. Now that I'm finished with my yapping, here are my top tips to train optimally.
Tip #1: Find your goals
Ask yourself this question: “What am I hoping to achieve at the gym?” Do you want to get shredded with a 6-pack? Do you want to develop your athletic abilities? Do you just want to lift as heavy as possible? Ask yourself what you want to do at the gym so you can better achieve those results and better apply it in your training.
Tip #2: Know the different kinds of fitness
Many people go to the gym exclusively for weight training, but that's not all the world of fitness has to offer, there are many different kinds of fitness that you may benefit from such as: cardio to help burn excess calories, plyometrics for explosive power, powerlifting, which is all about lifting as much as possible, crossfit if you want to train poorly, etc. I enjoy just simply weight training with some cardio as I look to build muscle and build an aesthetic body, but you might enjoy power lifting so try ‘em out and find whichever one you like best.
Tip #3: Train till failure and rest
Studies show that training till failure will result in muscles with higher strength gains and better hypertrophy than not training till failure. It's also recommended that you aim for lower reps as to fatigue your muscles less and speed up your recovery. Speaking of recovery, make sure you take rest days because your muscles grow during recovery. Depending on the split you're using, I'd recommend taking a rest day once or twice a week to make sure your muscles have the proper time to recover.
Tip #4: Watch what you eat
Your nutrition is arguably the most important factor in the fitness world, making sure you're eating properly will help you make gains faster than otherwise not. If you're trying to build muscle like me, you can follow the steps that I follow, which is to take your BW (body weight) and eat around 1g-1.5g of protein per lbs of BW. Change up your protein intake depending on the training you're doing. You'll also want to make sure you set up your meals with the right macronutrients, macronutrients being protein, fat, carbohydrates, sugars, vitamins, etc. Supplementation can be an effective way of getting your vitamins and minerals if, let's say or a picky eater or have food allergies. Finally, one of the most important things about nutrition and I would know this more than anyone. It's okay to take a cheat day, taking a cheat day makes it much, much easier to actually stick to your diet. I always have a cheat day once a week because it makes my meals much more enjoyable. Also, when I can eat junk foods on my cheat day it feels like a reward for making it through the week.
Tip #5: Be Patient
This is the most important rule of working out, it requires patience and discipline. I remember when young Momo started working out for the first time and he was so frustrated that he'd been going to the gym for two weeks and hadn't seen any results. Imagine if I stopped then and didn't continue to the place I am now, don't make the mistake of being impatient. The results will be worth it, trust me.
Thank you for reading my post and I hope you use some of these tips in your training.

Gyms in Mulund
I have been an active and consistent gym freak for almost two years at this point. After researching online about the different gyms in my locality (Mulund ) and calling around 80 numbers ( a lot of them were closed or had their businesses shut down probably because of COVID) I made a list of the gyms in both east and west Mulund. I didn’t bother checking out the gyms without steam facilities since it was one of the criteria I was looking for to be included in my gym membership. I have compared and made a list of all the gyms according to specific criteria such as the gym’s equipment, location, steam availability, parking space( 4-wheeler), crowd, etc. All the comparisons will be done in accordance with Gold’s gym since I went there initially. The numbers of the gym can be found on Google but I have also mentioned it below along with their address and my personal review of the gym. I even segregated the gyms in the east/west respectively. Guys, take trials at the gym and choose the one who loves you! Happy gym hunting!
Mulund west :
Gold’s gym :
This gym tops the list whether doesn’t matter whether it’s east or west. The best gym in Mulund hands down. The biggest gym with new and a variety of equipment. The gym is located on a not-so-busy road making it the best place to get some parking. The gym has Wi-Fi access. The owners of the gym seem to continuously upgrade the gym with new equipment as and when possible. Steam is available for 6 days a week. The crowd is excellent. The gym includes a number of classes like MMA, power yoga, and Zumba.
Membership cost : 18-20k (without trainer)
2.
9th Gear
The second biggest gym in Mulund after Gold’s gym. The gym has new-age machines and equipment. The problem with the gym is the location, since it is located right opposite the station driving and finding parking is nearly impossible. Steam service is available twice a week. It has a good reception area and the changing room is also quite big. The lighting of the gym is not that good and makes you feel dull in the evening.
Membership fee : 14 k
Power junction :
This is a mid-size and honestly quite compact but has a plethora of equipment. The gym has a huge CrossFit area. Here, 4-wheeler parking is not available. One thing I severely disliked is that it has an extremely small changing room. The gym doesn’t have a lot of crowds, so machines are more easily available compared to other gyms.
Membership fee : 11k
3 months fitness
A small-sized gym near Veena Nagar. It has plenty of parking available. The changing room is extremely small and has no attached rest room just a common one in the main lifting area honestly I thought this was just bizarre. The weights and machines are quite average just the common ones. Some machines are old and the names of the weights are also missing so it would be difficult to progressively overload. The gym has good red interiors and lighting. Steam facility is available twice a week.
Membership fee : 13k ( Negotiate )
Fitness Factory
A good mid-sized gym. The equipment and weights here are new. The gym has ample weights. Here, parking is a little difficult to find but manageable. The gym has steam access which is available twice a week. This gym has a big locker/changing room compared to most gyms in the area. The gym tends to get crowded. The trainers are very good. The locker facility and steam need to be paid for separately.
Membership fee: 9k
The Fitness yard
A small-sized gym in Mulund West. The weights here are old and rusty. Steam facility is available twice a week. A four-wheeler parking here is difficult to find. The bathroom was not maintained at all. The gym feels too congested to work out.
Membership fee: Rs 9k
Evolution fitness
This is a mid-sized gym but extremely crowded during peak hours. The equipment is old but has a variety of them. There is no issue with parking it’s easily available. The locker room was not maintained that well. The gym has a steam facility. One con about the gym was it closes early on Sunday but this is the case with most gyms.
Membership fee: 9.5-10.5 k
World fitness
This is a small-sized gym. It is difficult to find parking here. The gym tends to get crowded. The cardio section is good. The gym has a good variety of strength training equipment but the weights are old. Steam facility is available.
Membership fee : 7-9k.
Mulund east : (Ranking wise)
Magnum gym :
The best and the biggest gym in Mulund East. Parking is easily available since it’s located in a not-so-busy lane. The gym itself is new so all the equipment is new. The gym tends to get a little crowded during peak hours. The gym has access to Wi-Fi also. One thing to keep in mind is that the changing room is a little small and has barely any seating space. Steam is included in the membership and can be used at any time during the week. This is a superior pro of the gym compared to the other gyms which have just a 2-day steam facility access during the week. Sunday the gym is open for a longer time duration compared to other gyms.
Membership fee : Actual 15.3k but they will come down till 14k so Negotiate!
Number : 9930776682
One life
This gym is huge with new equipment. A lot of parking is available since it’s a not-so-busy street. The gym has a steam and shower facility. The gym is a little crowded. The membership includes four free PT sessions and twelve body assessments in a year. I can’t give an in-depth review since due to some maintenance work going on in the gym some sections of the gym were not accessible but saying that you should take a trial and decide for yourself.
Membership cost : Bargain till 12.5k.
Fitness intelligence
This is a small-sized gym. Since the gym is new the equipment and machines are new. Parking is easily available. It has a good ambiance.
Membership fee: Negotiate below Rs 12,600.
Matoshri Prime physique
This is an old-school mid-sized gym located in Mulund East. The problem here is parking and it is not easily available. The machines are old and rusty with labels missing. The gym is not crowded which is good. The variety of machines is also comparatively lesser compared to most gyms along with the number of trainers. The best thing about the gym is the cardio section which has a number of machines. The weird part about the membership is that the cardio section and steam are charged separately. The gym doesn’t really have a dedicated changing room and the restroom is also not maintained well.
Membership fee : Rs 7500
M5 gym :
A small-sized gym but long in length. Here, parking can be easily found. The equipment and machines here are new. The sad part about the gym is no steam. The gym has a good crowd. The changing room is well maintained but small. The weights in the gym are in pounds and not kgs (Just thought of mentioning this). I thought the gym needed a few more benches and was missing certain equipment.
Fitness 45
A small-sized gym in Mulund East. The interiors are done really well. Here, parking is not easily found. The changing room is extremely small and not maintained at all. The gym lacks a steam facility. The gym has fans and no AC so feels extremely warm to workout. The gym has missing weights and certain machines have missing weight labels too. The gym is small and feels congested. The cardio area is also small. Sundays the gym is open till 1pm.
Membership fee: Rs 7500 ,Couple : 14000
Fitness Palace: The smallest gym in Mulund East or if you plan to gym on a budget this is for you. Here, access to Steam is not available. Parking can’t be found since it’s a busy road. The weights are new since the gym itself is new. The changing room was extremely small with no couch. The gym had only fans no AC. The trainer is very good.
Membership Fee : Rs 8500
The gym’s I didn’t try
JMK :
The last time I went for a trial here, half the gym was allocated for people who opt for trainers which I didn’t feel was fair honestly speaking. That being said the gym is big and comparable to Gold’s in size and equipment. It has new equipment and weights. The gym has ample parking available along with valet service.
Ur care
I tried your care a long time ago. Urcare is located in a shady building next to the station. It is an extremely small-sized gym. Parking is not available since it’s near the station.
Rewind:
The gym has ample parking available. It is of decent size and is a good mid-sized gym. The changing rooms are big and well-maintained. I was a part of the gym a long time before so can’t review it at this moment but feel free to go and take a trial and decide for yourself.
Pro Safe Academy ( No steam ): I didn’t bother to check the gym since it had no steam facility available. If steam is not a criterion for you guys when investing in a gym go check it out.

Play the game of ask
I was tagged by @imsodishy
1. Are you named after anyone? yes, first name. my mother named me after her favorite actress, Jessica Tandy. and my middle name, all women on my mom's side are given french middle names (family tradition/heritage thing). my middle name is after my great-maternal aunt,
2.When was the last time you cried? maybe a week or two ago???
3.Do you have kids? do pets count? if not, nope.
4.Do you use sarcasm a lot? on the daily. it's my love language.
5.What sports do you play/have played? i played peewee tee-ball at age 5. i sent a boy to the hospital on my first day 😎. i hit the ball straight into his gut... he shouldn't have been standing on the pitcher's mound if it's tee-ball. i tried out for softball in high school, but my school was a heavy competitor in their division rank and wouldn't take me because i hadn't been playing constantly all the way... they chose a different girl over me and lost the whole season (which made me gleefully happy bc she couldn't catch a ground ball to save her life). 👀 i get a tad petty when i'm bitter... lol. i didn't do much else except be super competitive in PE, also took ballroom dance (non-competitively). I picked up Ballroom again briefly in college for a semester, and then picked up Crossfit, and I've stuck with Crossfit since 2015, with only a brief break because of the pandemic years. So most of what I do is weight lifting, some endurance training, light to moderate gymnastic work, and power lifting. I just wanna be Mighty Mouse.
6.What’s the first thing you noticed about other people? Eyes/Facial expressions and tone of voice. I have a good/bad habit of sizing people up pretty immediately, and I don't tend to deviate from my initial opinions of people. They say you shouldn't judge people (don't judge a book...) but I got taken advantage of so many times as a kid by being altruistic and trying to push past initial feelings of why I didn't like someone. So if I don't immediately like someone... that's pretty much it. I don't engage more than I have to.
7.Scary movies or happy endings? happy endings, scary movies give me too much cognitive dissonance lol.
8.Any special talents? 😅 well i can do my cat's version of the bird chatter thing. so if i can't find him in the house, and he won't come when i call him, i'll make the chittering noises and then he comes running thinking i found birds.
9.Where were you born? Salt Lake City, UT, USA
10.What are your hobbies? Netflix binging, reading, writing (when I'm not dying writing for school), and picking back up artsy stuff now after a long while so thank you fandom buddies.
11. Was skipped so… I’m just gonna say the song I’m listening to right now, which is Figure 8 by Peach Pit
12.Do you have any pets? Cus (because he's a 'cuss'), my black lab (the moocher, but also baby). Smokey, my grey cat (the asshole in residence). Tucker, my beige/blonde tabby cat (the baby). All boys.
13. How tall are you? 5′2, es muy poquita.
14. Favorite subject in school? history, psychology, anatomy/zoology (if we're talking back in high school days)
15. Your dream job? Actress
16. Eye color? grey/stormy blue
no pressure tags anyone who's interested @oneshortdamnfuse @adelacreations @bigdumbbambieyes @chrisbitchtree @every-dayiwakeup

Hi! I've really enjoyed your blog. I've been doing crossfit for a few years but have been running a couple days a week for a few months, just trying to enjoy it and work on my pace. I have a decent 3 mile time right now but was thinking of trying your 2x2mile running interval on my long day this week, thanks for the inspiration!
Do you follow a running and lifting program? If you do, what is it like? I don't think a half is my goal, right now I'm just at a 5k but would maybe consider a 10k. Just wondering more specifically how you work in your running and lifting
Hi! I’ll be interested in what you think of the 2x2 run. The workout calls for a 10 minute walk between intervals. I find this is the perfect reset to enable you to complete the second interval. It may still be hard, but it’s doable, and I usually come out of those sessions feeling more confident in my ability to hold a pace.
I get my running plans lately from Mountain Tactical Institute. You do have to subscribe (once) to gain access to their training plans, but there’s so many for every type of race or fitness goal. Recommend looking them up. I also have used Run with Hal app which was decent for building a base. I found the ramp up too quick for my knees and had to taper back to prevent overuse injuries. Since I just finished the half marathon, this week I’m just getting in movement. However, my plan did look like this: Monday run for time or 2x2mile intervals, Tuesday weights & 15-3 min spin, Wednesday 3x2 intervals, Thursday weights and alternate cardio, Friday rest day, Saturday sprints (I play soccer on a team atm), Sunday 6-7 mile long run (this ramped up from 2 miles when I started training).
I do follow a lifting program. Right now, I lift twice a week. Just a few choice main lifts at 5x5 each: day 1 is squat, overhead press, and deadlift. Day 2 is squat again, bench, and row. I use the StrongLifts app, which increases the weight at the intervals you set it at. It’s great for building strength gradually, and has really helped me get my form right to prevent injury as it gets heavier. Lifting (heavy squats especially) had really helped keep my knees and legs strong during the longer runs. I highly recommend finding a weight routine that works for you. It doesn’t have to be complicated- just anything that will slowly strengthen your legs.
Good luck on your 5 or 10k in the future! Keep me updated, I’d love to cheer you on!

How Finding Your Right Inspiration Can Change Everything.
Dear World,
Today I was scrolling down my Instagram, and like any typical summer, you see copious amounts of people at the beach or hiking, basically out and about. More likely than not, if you are a girl, you have friends, models, and celebrities, and they are this "ideal" image that is out there.
These girls are tiny, with long legs and flat tummies. Kinda makes you feel bad about yourself if you were not blessed with fast metabolisms and you have a severe craving for that Cotton Candy Blizzard that only shows up for like one month out of the year. When I noticed this happening on my feeds, I started looking into something more suitable and more achievable for someone with my body type.
I happily work out roughly 3-4 times throughout the week. Do I need to work on my eating habits... I mean, yeah, I really should. But I am doing better than I used to, and you have got to start somewhere; you do not just start liking kale overnight.
So what I did was I went through Instagram looking for more inspiring body images types like athletes or trainers. They show that strong, healthy, and fit are all COMPLETELY different than the tiny little models and celebrities we see. Do not get me wrong, those body types are just as beautiful, but it is extremely hurtful to only see those.
Again, do not get me wrong, if you can kill it and get your absolute ideal image, then good for you, darling, because not everyone has those chances. If you are like me, you know that getting down to 110 pounds will be a near-impossible task without having to take serious measures.
When I did this, it was like an awakening for me. I realized that I could be beautiful without stick-thin legs, or just because I could see my triceps muscle meant nothing more than having solid arms. I may not have abs or a little fat on my body, but that is perfectly okay.
So there you go on my idea of body image. Now, get this. I realized I am awful at going to the gym by myself like I literally look around and then leave. I had it in my mind that girls do not squat with weights because I will get man thighs, or girls do not do bench presses. Girls just run, and magically they are what my mind said was "ideal."
I used to be an athlete, but once I stopped, it was like I was never taught to work out and condition on my own. So I thought, hey, maybe join the YMCA, but again the problem with the gym, I just did not know. I searched a little deeper and have seen loads of my friends talk and show their progress with CrossFit.
My mind looped right back around to if you do CrossFit, you will be a lady bodybuilder, but I sought out information anyway and found a gym that is like 5-7 minutes from my house. I went and talked to the owner, and he basically was like, unless you want to look like that and you do the diet that goes along with it, your body will just tone up.
I took a free class, and as silly as it sounds, I was instantly hooked. I am now starting my fourth week there, and in the three weeks so far, I have only lost about two pounds, but I have lost inches. Not a mass amount, but enough you can start; well, I can start to see the difference.
Now, I go three times a week and do yoga on the weekends. I have a coach who is encouraging and is teaching me the things a coach growing up should have taught me. On my off days from the gym, I am going for a walk, a run, going for a hike, or something semi-active. I get antsy and annoyed like I am wasting my time. The days I work out are at 6 a.m., and I have zero problems with waking up for it because that workout makes my day.
And it could be the release of endorphins from exercising, but I am getting into the swing of things. Who knows, maybe one day I will wake up and look at myself and be like, yeah, this is where I want to be. Then, I will go to the gym, and who knows how much I could be lifting or squatting or even how many darn pull-ups I can do.
For now, it is a day-by-day mindset. I will continue to look at the more body-positive people, even if ours our polar opposites. As long as you and I are strong, happy, and healthy, it does not matter.
I encourage anyone who reads this to think about what their ideal image is, and if you are where you want to be, then try to be the one to inspire other people because you never know when someone might need it.
Sincerely,
The One With The New Outlook On Life (originally written by me on July 5, 2016)

Is CrossFit more effective than the gym?
CrossFit has become increasingly popular as a workout regimen, but there are still many who are unsure of its effectiveness compared to a traditional gym-based fitness program. In this blog, we'll explore the differences between CrossFit and the gym, and discuss which one is more effective for achieving fitness goals.
CrossFit has become one of the most popular fitness trends in recent years. It promises fast results, with many people claiming to have achieved a fit and toned body in a short amount of time. But is CrossFit really more effective than the gym?
The truth is that both CrossFit and the gym offer great ways to get in shape. However, there are some key differences between them.
CrossFit is a high-intensity workout program that combines elements of weight-lifting, cardiovascular exercises, and gymnastics. It focuses on functional movements to build strength and endurance. The exercises used in CrossFit are often complex and challenging, making them great for those looking for fast results.
The gym, on the other hand, tends to be more general and lower-intensity. It offers a wide variety of machines and exercises to work out with, but they are typically done at a much lower intensity than CrossFit workouts.
When it comes to comparing the results of CrossFit vs the gym, there is no clear winner. Both offer great results and can help you reach your fitness goals. However, those looking for a more intense and faster workout should consider CrossFit.
CrossFit is the ideal choice for those looking to achieve a toned and sculpted body in a short amount of time. It is especially beneficial for female athletes, as it is designed to target specific areas of the body and increase muscle definition. CrossFit also provides a range of different exercises, giving you the option to target different muscle groups and challenge your body in different ways.
At the end of the day, the best workout for you is the one that you will stick with and enjoy the most. CrossFit and the gym both offer great results, and the choice is up to you. So, if you’re looking to get in shape fast and effectively, consider giving CrossFit a try. Which is better for weight loss CrossFit or gym? When it comes to weight loss, there is no one-size-fits-all answer. Depending on your individual goals and requirements, one type of exercise may be more beneficial than another. Deciding between CrossFit and the gym is an important decision that can have a big impact on your health and fitness.
CrossFit and the gym offer different approaches to weight loss, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. It is important to understand the differences between the two before making a decision about which is better for weight loss.
CrossFit is a type of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) that involves a combination of bodyweight exercises, weightlifting, and cardio. It is designed to create a full-body workout that is intense, yet enjoyable. CrossFit workouts are designed to be short and intense, making them a great option if you are short on time. They also help build muscle, which can help with weight loss.
On the other hand, the traditional gym offers a more relaxed and varied approach. Gym workouts are generally longer and may include both cardio and weightlifting. Cardio helps burn calories and can be beneficial for weight loss, while weightlifting helps build muscle and improves overall body composition.
When it comes to weight loss, both CrossFit and the gym can be beneficial. It all depends on your individual goals and requirements. CrossFit can help you burn fat and build muscle in a shorter amount of time, while the gym offers a more relaxed approach and can help you build strength over time.
So which is better for weight loss: CrossFit or the gym? It all comes down to personal preference and which approach works best for you. Both approaches can be beneficial for weight loss, so it is important to find the one that is right for you.
For women, CrossFit can be a great way to get in shape and lose weight quickly. CrossFit workouts are intense and can help you build a lean and fit physique. On the other hand, the gym can help you build muscle, tone up, and burn fat over time. Both approaches can help you reach your weight loss goals, so it is important to choose the one that works best for you.
No matter which approach you choose, it is important to maintain balance in your diet and lifestyle. Eating a balanced diet and getting regular physical activity is key for achieving and maintaining a healthy body weight. Making healthy lifestyle changes can help you reach your weight loss goals and create a healthier, fitter you.

Cassidy Sansone: Helping to Continue the Magic of Dancing with the Ohio Valley Stars
A spell was cast upon Cassidy Sansone in Salem, Massachusetts late last month. That’s right, a SPELL in the SAME Salem, Massachusetts where the infamous Witch Trials took place when about 200 individuals were accused of witchcraft and 20 of them were executed – most by hanging – three centuries ago. And yes, it’s the SAME Cassidy Sansone who opened the Dynamic Dance Force studio in Wheeling soon after she was graduated from West Liberty University, and who is now in her seventh year as a pro performer in the annual Dancing with the Ohio Valley Stars charity event. The spell? Well, as it turned out, it was sent off in Sansone’s direction not by a witch but instead by something of a warlock when her seven-year boyfriend – Collin Hlad – surprised her when asking for her hand in marriage during their Fall trip to the Codfish State. Now, though, Sansone has returned from the late September venture to team up with Chad Blanchard for the 13th annual DWTOVS set for Nov. 2 at the Capitol Theatre. The event benefits the Augusta Levy Learning Center in Wheeling, an educational institution that works with children who have been diagnosed to be on the spectrum of autism, and the evening will feature eight amateur dancers partnered with eight professionals from the Wheeling area. Blanchard is local fitness instructor who has coached a plethora of local residents in activities like weight room workouts and CrossFit, as well. The dancing duo have posted videos of their practices, and Sansone expects them to be in the running for the event’s Mirror Ball Trophy. And yes, Hlad – and his “crafty” ways – will be in the crowd. Cassidy and Collin took a trip to New England in late September and now they're engaged to be married. Why have you chosen to stay in the Wheeling area once you were graduated? One reason I decided to stay in this area after graduating college was to stay close to my family. I am very close with my family, and we all do so much together. Another reason I stayed within the Ohio Valley was to open my own dance studio. It is called Dynamic Dance Force and is located at 30 GC&P Road Wheeling. Ever since I was little, I wanted to share my love and knowledge for dance within this area. My family has been a huge part of my studio and has supported me every step of the way. How talented is your Dancing with the OV Stars partner (Chad Blanchard) and have you had to seek medical attention for any foot injuries since you’ve started rehearsing with him? My Dancing with the Stars partner is working so hard and doing amazing. Chad is so talented. He actually chose the song we are dancing to so he’s really into it. He keeps wanting to put some back flips in the routine and to add some crazy tricks, so he is definitely braver than me when it comes to the partner lifts! Thankfully, we have not had any injuries. I’m so excited to perform our routine for everyone at the show! Sansone is working with her amateur dance partner, Chad Blanchard, for the annual Dancing with the Ohio Valley Stars that is set for November 2nd. What are your favorite things to do in the Wheeling area with your friends and with your fiancé? One of my favorite things to do is to walk my 5-pound chihuahua named Axel at the local parks, and dog parks. I also really enjoy going to all of the festivals and fairs that the Ohio Valley has throughout the year. It’s always nice running into familiar faces at all the events in the Ohio Valley. What are the most important lessons your dance students learn during the classes you instruct? One of most important lessons I teach my students during class is to not be afraid of making mistakes when trying something new. Making mistakes along the way is part of how dancers learn. Another thing I am really big on when I teach my classes is for everyone to be supportive of each other. Everyone in the class is there to learn and grow, and by supporting each other everyone feels more confident and believes in themselves more. Sansone remained in her hometown to stay close to her family, and to open her own studio in the Greggsville area of Wheeling. Please explain your decision to participate in the annual Dancing with the OV Stars event. I love being able to use my dance foundation and knowledge to be part of an event that gives back to the community. The August Levy Learning Center does amazing things for children and their families, and I love being able to help fundraise for them. It’s amazing how dancers and studios within the Ohio Valley come together to put on an amazing show to support an amazing event for a great cause. I’m so honored to be a part of it. It’s also so much fun to be a part of! Read the full article
