The Night You're Mine Again (Kacchako)
CW: Demon/Angel AU, mild angst, sexual language
Happy Halloween! 🎃
Ochako sat on the cliff, her bare feet swinging freely over it. The drop to the frigid river below would make most steer clear of the looming edge, but not Ochako. Calmness washed over her as the gentle autumn breeze tousled her hair off her shoulders, leaving goosebumps in its wake. Ochako inhaled deeply, her eyes closing, the crisp air intoxicating. It was late, almost midnight. Despite the late hour, Ochako’s body alighted with gentle energy only he could bring. One night a year, from midnight until the sun rose, he walked the Earth again. Only one every 365 days, as the curse dictated.
Their curse was a cruel one placed on them by the gods for daring to defy tradition and falling in love. A demon and an angel weren’t meant to be together, but they resisted the old laws and fought for change. They weren’t successful this time, but they’d figure out a way. Angels traveled between the god and human realms at will, but not Katsuki. His wings had been clipped, and he regained them only this night. Those beautiful ivory wings, two on each side, were what the painters of old visualized in their masterpieces.
They were silky, while her onyx ones favored crow feathers. Ochako had found them unappealing, as many angels did, but Katsuki called them gorgeous. She’d learned to love her wings because of him. Ochako would never forget the day he’d told her he found them beautiful because it was the first time her heart skipped a beat for him. Halloween, the only day of the year when the door between all realms cracked, allowed them to spend a few hours together. It hurt every time he faded away, returning to Nirvana while Ochako remained on Earth in her human form.
The gods were wise. They knew leaving her with her demon powers allowed her to visit Nirvana when invited by an Arch Angel. With Katsuki’s wings clipped, he wouldn’t hesitate, no matter the consequences. They did everything to stand in their way, but it only strengthened their bond. Ochako stood and stretched her arms over her head, the lavender long-sleeve dress she wore sliding off her right shoulder as she did so. She knew better than to wear restricting clothing when her heart’s desire made his appearance. Katsuki was a passionate being, raw and honest in everything he did, whether standing up for what he believed in, war, or lovemaking. She admired that about him.
The wind rustled behind her, and his presence washed over her. To a human, its heaviness would intimidate them, but Ochako only smiled and turned to face him. Katsuki didn’t give her a second to whisper hello before his arms wrapped around her, tendrils of his power billowing white smoke around their ankles. He tilted her chin up and kissed her. The warmth of his broad chest against her felt familiar. Any tension she might have had evaporated as Ochako reached up to drape her arms over his shoulders.
“Ochako,” he murmured between kisses.
The tears she promised herself she wouldn’t shed this time trailed down her cheeks as they broke apart and pressed their foreheads together.
"I've missed you, ra te ektun vi och seminkeh.”
“Ra te ektun vi och seminkeh,” Katsuki repeated in a language long forgotten.
My star amongst the clouds. Despite Ochako’s former standing as Purgatory’s lead General of Torture, Katsuki never saw her as the monster his kind did. He recognized, worshipped, and loved her for who she was, even if their first meetings hadn’t gone well. A sassy asshole angel had barged into her realm and had demanded she release someone who’d accidentally been sent to hell. It hadn’t been the first time someone ended up in Purgatory by mistake, but Ochako had declined to release her victim. Maybe the Grim Reaper hadn’t been paying attention when they’d gotten their assignment for that human, but they hadn’t been wrong to bring her to hell.
She’d been a cruel human who’d purposely brought sick infants to the brink of death in hopes of saving them and looking like a hero. Her success rate had left much to be desired and many parents mourning the loss of their little one. Scathing words were shared, ones Katsuki had disagreed with, and they’d fought, a flurry of talons, teeth, and wings until Nirvana’s god had called him off.
Katsuki had promised he’d return, and Ochako had vowed to crush him under the heel of her boot. He had returned, but Ochako had shown him what that human had done to deserve eternal punishment. Once Katsuki had understood Ochako’s victim’s crimes, he’d given her a stern look. The woman begged him for forgiveness and pleaded that he save her from torment. Katsuki had met Ochako’s gaze, those intense red eyes speaking for him before he uttered a word.
“Do what you want to her.”
With that, he’d left, and Nirvana had been in an uproar. Apparently, the woman had been a project of All Might, the god of Nirvana. He’d wanted to bring her to Nirvana to rehabilitate her and let her be reborn. This would have been her third reincarnation.
In her first life, she’d been a male serial killer slicing up prostitutes in alleyways. In the second, a cruel dictator who’d caused mass genocide and a world war. Reincarnating her as a woman did nothing to stop the blackness embedded in the soul. It was tainted.
What angels failed to realize was that some souls weren’t worth saving. This one chose to be evil. That set the start of Katsuki and Ochako spending time together. Ochako wasn’t sure when she’d fallen in love with him. All she knew was she’d fight by his side for all eternity, and their combined powers, tied with the desire to change the status quo made them dangerous in the eyes of the current leaders, hence their curse. It wouldn’t stop them from being together. They were destined, written among the vastness of all universes.
Their battles and a love that couldn’t be extinguished would live on forever. Tales of how an angel and demon overthrew the celestial realms would never be forgotten. It would change the course of time for millennia to come when it happened.
Katsuki’s fingers trailing up her sides brought her out of her musings to study those bright crimson eyes.
Shaky palms cupped his jaw, bringing him down to meet her lips once more as his wings materialized. They expanded as Katsuki hooked his arms under her thighs, hoisting her up. She wrapped her legs around his waist with practiced ease. His arousal pressed against her core with promises of heated passion to come. Bringing each other to the edge had become second nature, but neither grew tired of seeing the other coming undone from their touch.
“Ready for me to fuck you senseless, Demon?” Katsuki asked before leaving open-mouth kisses along her collarbone that made her toes curl.
“Always, Angel,” Ochako replied, raking her nails through his ash-blonde locks. “Tonight, you’re mine again.”
They blasted into the night sky toward their cabin of old, intent on making the most of those few hours until they met again. The chill of the air rose goosebumps along her skin, but the warmth of his chest helped satiate the cool bite of ending autumn. The clear night sky let the full moon blanket the tops of full oak trees, a beautiful night for them to spend together. Ochako relaxed into her lover’s embrace as they flew across the night sky, the Earth a new vision from their place amongst the low clouds. They couldn’t fly as high as they once did because of her human stature, but Ochako didn’t mind because the glitter of the river’s surface nearby gave her peace.
When they landed in front of their mortal home deep within the forgotten woods, the earthy hint of dirt reached her nose as the dust bloomed from the flap of Katsuki’s mighty wings. Ochako wove her fingers between his and led him toward the small cabin, the lights flickering the closer they got. Ochako smiled, grateful for their friend and forest king, Izuku, keeping their location hidden. She swung the door open, listening to its soft creak before stepping inside a place that looked well used from its cleanliness. There was an open kitchen to their left and a beautifully furnished living room straight ahead. The domestic feeling reminded her of her hopes of settling down with her lover after their battle against the gods. It would happen. Ochako’s determination and Katsuki’s stubbornness to love each other unconditionally and without fear or repercussion rang clear and strong. As Ochako led Katsuki toward their bedroom, his footsteps behind her heightened her arousal. They belonged to each other this night, as fate intended them to be.

In the same vibe as Percy choking Akhlys, may I suggest :
Nico causing wounds to necrotize. Even from a small scratch on your finger, it spreads so fast your only hope is an amputation asap.
Jason holding the air still in your lungs. You're not dying because you don't have air, but because you can't get it out and are literally choking.
Hazel controlling stones in jewelries. Imagine getting chocked by your necklace, your finger being sectioned by your ring, being handcuffed by your bracelets, your head being crushed between your earrings...
Thalia manipulating the electricity in your body. Causing your nervous system to move in certain ways, or just shutting down your brain activity.
The big 3 are terrifying, and I wish we would've seen them (others than Percy) being more op. Cmon Rick, show us reasons the gods are afraid of them !

demigods who know how much an average loaf of bread from the store costs:
leo — he was between foster homes a lot and often ended up homeless. he knows the cost because he's spent many times counting out the spare change in his pockets and praying he has enough.
percy — he and sally went/still go on grocery trips, and he rants to annabeth if the price goes up. want to know how the economy's doing? ask percy about bread prices.
demigods who do not know how much an average loaf of bread from the store costs:
annabeth — maybe back when she was with luke and thalia, but she's been in camp half-blood for most of her life. bread just appears on a plate in front of her, who is she to question it.
frank — he's a nepo baby.
hazel — she's been dead for 70 years. seeing what the price has been inflated to now may kill her.
jason — he was raised by wolves. lupa does not have time to worry about the inflation rate of bread.
nico — he was cut off from modern society for 70 years.
piper — she's also a nepo baby. and she spent a lot of time shoplifting, so the illusion of cost doesn't apply to her.

So you know that running joke on the Argo II about how Percy eats so much and from everyone else's POV it's seen as quirky or unusual? It's quite possible that his open enthusiasm about food is weird to the others because he's actually the only one who's normal/healthy abt food.
Think about it. Leo's been through food insecurity and he may have issues with it because of the way his body looks. He's also a workaholic and generally probably doesn't really have a very good sense of when or what he needs to eat to feel better. Annabeth might be similar, not being able to sense her hunger cues very well because of Trauma (TM) and the way she gets sucked into her hyperfixations.
Piper and Frank might both be conscious about their weight, Piper because of bullying and her Hollywood environment and Frank because he's always been so big naturally and his grandmother probably verbally abused the hell out of him for his weight.
I think Jason skips meals as a form of self-punishment if he doesn't feel like he's earned it. He also wants to make sure everyone else on his team has had what they want to eat before he gets to have any.
Hazel straight up lived in the depression, so food was probably rationed. She was also a girl in the 40s and body shaming was on a whole other level of ridiculous back then so I can't blame her for feeling like she needs to restrict for a few reasons.
And then there's Percy, whose mother did the best she could to make sure her son had a healthy relationship with eating and food. She didn't always have money, but she showed her love through food and treats as much as she could and together they created their blue food tradition. This means that Percy now is excited about food and can probably better measure his hunger cues than anyone else on that ship. This is a good thing not only for him, but if he shows confidence in the way he eats what he likes until he's satisfied and stops when he's full, it might give his friends social cues that they're allowed to eat like he does.
Percy, of course, would be happy to know he's helping them...but right now, he's too excited about those pancakes.

Like- imagine you're a regular ass straight cis person, who has no idea fairies exist or how they reproduce, and you meet your new neighbours and then the husband slips up and accidently says he gave birth to their son, they both have pretty uncommon names, and also they look like this

i feel like percy is the person that people bring with them when they need to go somewhere or do something potentially dangerous. or more realistically, he’s the one who people’s loved ones tell them to take with. it just makes people feel better knowing percy is there. you know what i mean?
sally has a meeting with someone who sounds a bit weird (and paul can’t go)? paul tells her to bring percy.
paul needs to go to a really sketchy part of town? sally asks him to bring percy
piper got a weird anonymous note and needs to go meet them at a location? annabeth tells her to bring percy
leo has to go get some magic machine part from a really shady dealer? piper tells him to bring percy
frank has to go on an unofficial quest to investigate some shady legion history, and hazel has to stay with camp? hazel tells him to bring percy
and it’s NOT because any of these people can’t take care of themselves. they are all strong and brave and badass, and can handle anything. but for one, percy is intimidating as hell. his “wolf stare” sends literal gangs running the other way. you can avoid conflict before it even happens, because no one is messing with percy. and second, percy just makes you feel safe. his presence is comforting. not only has he been through all the demigod-hero-world-saving shit, and is powerful as hell, but he also grew up in new york city. he can handle pretty much any situation. plus he’s super sweet and funny, and you can always count on him to make you laugh and decrease your anxiety. and he’s always got your back. he takes care of the people he loves.
he’s just the best company. for so many reasons.
when in doubt, bring percy

its always "percy and blackjack" this and "jason and tempest" that SHUT UP
let's talk about how Arion tried to (and did a few times) kill anyone that wasn't Hazel that tried to tame him. Let's talk about how there was a WHOLE PROPHECY foretelling Hazel and Arion being an iconic, powerful duo. LETS TALK ABOUT THEY FOUND EACH OTHER IN BOTH HER LIVES. LETS TALK ABOUT HOW HAZEL AND ARION ARE ABSOLUTELY 100% WITHOUT A DOUBT THE BEST DEMIGOD/EQUESTRIAN DUO

The Hardest Thing About Christmas is Gift Wrapping (Kirikacchako)
Ochako stared at the pile of disheveled gifts, sighing in defeat. Her phone lay forgotten on the floor after watching sixteen videos on how to wrap presents next to a mountain of destroyed wrapping paper from her horrible attempts. Christmas was tomorrow! Mina had planned a get-together with their friends, and Ochako had bought them all presents, but she had two unique gifts she was nervous about giving. Her face burned thinking about two boys—one blond, one redhead, both with matching crimson eyes.
Now that they were fourth year students, Ochako had dealt with her growing affection for them for the past year. When Eijirou hugged her each morning, pressing her face into his rock-solid chest, Ochako’s body heated up. When she and Katsuki sparred together—training had become a regular event for them two to three times weekly—the questionable positions they’d end up in never failed to turn her into a sputtering, red-faced mess. He’d always yell at her for “acting so fucking weird”. His obliviousness astounded her, but that made hiding she was head over heels for him easier.
Ochako groaned and grabbed her phone. She should ask Mina for help. However, she didn’t want her friend to know about her gifts for Katsuki and Eijirou because she would ask way too many questions that Ochako wasn’t ready to answer yet. She’d even brought all her items to the gym after hours, hoping to wrap her gifts in peace. Ochako didn’t want her friends interrupting or barging into her dorm room like they were prone to on a regular basis.
“What am I going to do?” she groaned, scrubbing her hands down her face.
“Tch, you fucking suck at that.”
Ochako’s heart dropped as she scrambled for the presents and struggled to cover them with any destroyed paper within reach.
“Katsuki!” she squawked, standing in front of her mess with her arms out like that would block his view. “W-what are you doing here so late?”
Eijirou exited the boy’s locker room after Katsuki, took one look at her crazy stance, and burst into laughter. She should have ensured the locker rooms were empty before getting started. Lessen learned at an inconvenient time. Still, Eijirou’s warm laughter slowed her heartbeat only for staring at them to raise it back to dangerous levels. Both hit a growth spurt second year, Eijirou’s more intense than Katsuki’s. He stood a head taller than him, his hair grown to shoulder length and pulled into the cutest bun. Katsuki tamed his wild blond locks with an undercut and controlled the top spikes with Best Jeanist’s hair routine. Ochako silently thanked Best Jeanist every time she saw him. Both had filled out, muscles everywhere, and them in tight matching compression shirts that outlined every ridge of muscle did nothing to help her blood pressure.
“Ochako, what are you doing?”
“N-nothing, Eijirou!” she squeaked. “Have a good night, bye!”
Katsuki rolled his eyes and walked over, setting down his gym bag. “Who doesn’t know how to wrap fucking presents?”
“Um, I don’t?” Eijirou replied as he joined him.
“Stop! I have gifts I don’t want you two to see!”
Eijirou paused. “Did you get gifts for us, Ochako? That’s so manly! We got a gift for you, too!”
“Shut the fuck up, you idiot!” Katsuki snapped as Eijirou chuckled.
“I told you I’m not good at keeping gifts secret,” Eijirou replied while scratching the back of his head.
“Wait... you got me a gift?” Ochako asked, placing her wild arms down.
Katsuki blushed and looked away. Wait, he /blushed/?! It was adorable how it crawled up to his ears.
“So what if we bought you a gift,” Katsuki mumbled. “Anyway, pick a gift that isn’t ours, and I’ll fucking show you how to do the easiest thing on the planet.”
“It’s not /that/ easy,” Ochako pouted while grabbing Deku’s gift and handing it to Katsuki, whose face soured.
“This is for that damn nerd, isn’t it?” he deadpanned, snatching a roll of wrapping paper more aggressively than necessary.
Ochako giggled and sat down in front of him. “What gave it away?”
Eijirou plopped next to Ochako and leaned into her shoulder, making her squirm. His body heat radiated from him like a furnace, leaving her skin feeling scorched. She tried to relax her posture from the rigid position it took without her permission, but it wasn't easy with him pressed against her.
“The only person who wants a huge action figure of All Might other than Deku is Katsuki,” Eijirou said. “Unless this gift is for him.”
“Oi, shut up!” Katsuki snapped, not saying if he would want the action figure or not. “You fucking pay attention, too!”
Ochako didn’t know how Katsuki simplified wrapping the gifts so that she understood easily. Maybe it was his short, direct instructions or that he could grab her hands and move them into the positions she needed to cut the paper without making it jagged. All she knew was the gym was way too hot from their nearness, but with his help and Eijirou practicing, too, she got all the gifts wrapped except theirs.
“Can’t we just give her the gift now?” Eijirou whined as he put Tenya’s present with the rest of the pile.
“No, it’s not Christmas!” Katsuki barked.
“Yeah, but we didn’t get a gift for anyone else! Don’t you think it’s gonna be noticeable if we only give her something at the Christmas party?”
“We don’t have to give it to her there, dumbass!”
Ochako mulled over the thought. It sounded kind of fun to exchange gifts with them the day before Christmas instead of waiting. This moment between them wrapping presents was one to remember already. The laughs and the annoyed comments from Katsuki left a warm, fuzzy feeling in her chest, and she didn’t want that to fade. Plus, it would be something between them, something intimate.
“Sometimes people allow their kids to open one present on Christmas Eve.” Ochako stared at her hands. “What if we did that?”
“I like that idea!” Eijirou said, scrambling over to Katsuki’s gym bag and pulling out a plastic bag. “Sorry, we didn’t wrap it yet.”
“I haven’t wrapped yours either,” Ochako reminded him while crawling over to their gift bag.
She reached in and pulled out Katsuki’s present first. “Um, here. Merry Christmas, Katsuki.”
Katsuki snatched the long box from her hand, opened it, and said nothing at first. The blood rushing in her ears was the only thing she heard. Oh, no. He must not like it.
“You got me a new utility belt?”
“Yeah, I had Mei make it,” Ochako said, pointing to the different areas on it. “These pockets are for your grenades like your old belt, and you can put stuff in the mini pocket like extra gloves and radios. The belt is waterproof, blastproof, and bulletproof.”
“How the hell did you pay for this?” Katsuki asked as his fingers ghosted over the material.
“Oh! She didn’t make me pay. It was easy for her to make, so she just asked me to help her move heavy equipment for a few days.”
“That’s so sweet, Ochako!” Eijirou gushed with the cutest puppy dog face. “What did you get me?”
He threw an arm around her shoulder, and she giggled, leaning into him as she reached into the bag. “I got you this lotion made for people with Quirks that alter their skin! I remember you saying how dry yours gets because of your hardening and that you couldn’t find something to help. Maybe this will.”
“Ochako! You’re the best!” He pulled her sideways into her lap and hugged her tight enough to make her wheeze. “Thank you so much!”
She returned his embrace, rubbing his lower back. “Let me know how it works!”
“You want your gift or what?”
Ochako glanced over at Katsuki, who held out a small black box to her. Ochako took it, acutely aware that Eijirou hadn’t let her go. Instead, he’d opted to rest his chin on her shoulder. If her heart beat any faster, it would burst, but being in his embrace seemed natural, as did being near Katsuki, who scooted closer until his knee brushed against hers.
“Come on, open it already!”
“Okay, okay!”
Ochako hooked some of her hair behind her ear and opened the box. Inside is a beautiful necklace with coral-colored stones. She picked it up, the cool, smooth surface comforting in her hand.
“Wow,” she breathed, holding it up to the light and watching it glitter.
“It’s an anti-nausea necklace,” Eijirou explained. “We found it in a random shop and thought it might help when you overuse your Quirk!”
Ochako couldn’t stop the happy tears that trailed down her cheeks. “Thank you guys so much. I love it.”
“You’re an ugly crier.”
“Hey, you haven’t seen me cry before!”
“I just did, and it’s looking ugly.”
Ochako smacked Katsuki’s arm, but he responded by reaching up to wipe the tear from her face. She froze, locking gazes with him just as Eijirou plucked the necklace from her hand and slid her hair forward. Once he fastened it, his arms wrapped around her waist again.
“It looks so pretty on you, doesn’t it, Katsuki?”
“Yeah, it’s nice or whatever,” he grumbled in response.
Ochako smiled and reached out to grab Katsuki’s hand. He blushed deeper and didn’t meet her gaze but still squeezed her hand back. Although she loved her gift, feeling Eijirou at her back and the warmth of Katsuki’s hand wrapped around hers was the best Christmas present she could have asked for.

So you know how it's canon that Will listens to true crime podcasts?
What if that's how he finds out that Nico is from the 1940s?!
Like he's listening to the latest episode about 'the death of Maria di Angelo and the disappearance and supposed kidnapping of her missing children, Niccolò and Bianca di Angelo'.
And it's not all that strange for demigods to pop up in conspiracy blogs or podcasts - Percy had a four part series about him, and Will listened to the whole thing during a nightshift at the infirmary.
So yeah, Will starts listens to the di Angelo episode thinking nothing of it, maybe he's just hoping to have a laugh about what the mortals thought happened to Nico or maybe he's more than a little curious about Nico's mysterious past.
And the hosts, in crackling stereo voices because they desperately need a better mic, are talking about lightning striking the hotel, how "the storm popped up out of nowhere" and the "strange seismic activity reported in the area at the time"...and then the date drops...
The hosts say something along the lines of, "The di Angelo siblings were reported missing by their family back in Italy after no word had been received of their safe passage to America. The police report states they were last seen by an anonymous witness entering the Lotus Hotel & Casino with an unknown third party in December of 1942."
And Will's just sat there, gaping at the infirmary bed he'd been stripping of its sheets. Because everything is adding up now, and Will's not quite sure how he missed it...
