To go with the flowers I made the three special family members, (posted two days ago) I made a flower of the same color for that person's immediate household. My mom got this purple flower for my sister. My cousin got a red flower for her son. Grammie got a blue flower for Papa. 💙 This pattern is super simple, although I did like working it with paracord rather than traditional yarn.
This is the last of my projects from 2022. Thank you all for checking them out and allowing me to share. 😊

She could sell that pattern for $40-$50 and If consider that totally reasonable. She had to develop the pattern first. I dont really know how that process works. And then she spent how many hours exactly figuring out how to best explain and writing and taking clear pictures and assembling into a document. To make this absolutely stunning guide to an incredibly intricate product. And shes charging $8-$12?!?!
Lemme find my fainting couch OMG.
yall know that post with all of those absolutely stunning crochet flowers? well i just bought a pattern from the shop those are from and Good Fucking Lord.
I was expecting a like a Chart or two, maybe some written instructions. not Seventy Seven full color pages for One type of rose.

Three flowers for three very special people in our family.
The purple flower is for my older sister, who died when she was born. I of course never met her, but feel a strong connection to her as my mom has talked about her all my life. We visit her often, take her flowers every major holiday, and I even crocheted her little statue a scarf a few years ago.
The red flower is for my little cousin, who passed before we could meet him. He fought to be here, but was stillborn.
The blue flower is (the most difficult) for my Papa. He passed on May 2nd, 2022, with the entire family (minus the little ones) around him. Unfortunately... I was in school in Chicago at the time, but my mom made sure to call me on video so we could see each other again. The last time I saw him was before I left to go back to school on January 13th, 2022. This is the first Christmas without him, and we're all doing what we can to help my Grammie (and each other). It was hard. But I liked being able to include him 💙 Like I've always included Mandie, and like we've been including my little cousin.
These flowers are special because they're made out of paracord, so they can be placed outside in flower pots for years at a time. The scarf I made my sister has been with her since about 2017, and although it's faded considerably, it's still just as strong. The stems had to be hot glued together, and the flower to the stem had to be glued too, but I'm hoping that won't shorten the time they're able to spend outside.
