Keyleth has a garden that she tends to. Occasionally, she'll pick flowers from it that are interesting or ones she knows Percy likes and will take them down to his workshop. He has a vase that she puts new flowers in once a week or so. When she started doing this, it was mainly to make Percy feel included in the group.

Now she finds metal flowers planted in her garden that are perfect replicas of the ones around them, right down to the color.

physical:

chronic back pain/issues has a defect in her spine, born with a twisted facet joint fused at the base thats caused her spine to twist growing up causing pain, flattening her feet, shifting her jaw and so on. not enough to be visibly noticable but enough that she needs pain management.

chronic headaches brought on primarily by back and jaw pain.

chronic fatigue caused by many things including chronic pain, low energy etc

Anemia. heavily anemic, requires iron supplements

visual snow syndrome

visual impairment far sighted, one eye a bit more heavily impaired than the other.

hearing impairment mild, hard of hearing in one hear also has audio processing disorder has to face a person in order to understand whats being said includes tinnitus.

rheumatoid arthritis swelling and pain in the joints, usually in the hands more than anything

aids:

cane has a cane, percy possibly made one for her at some point customizes it, probably took a whole day just painting her cane as a personal side project.

wheelchair occasionally uses a wheelchair on the worst days especially after the ordeal with the briarwoods percy absolutely made the wheelchair even adding things to it. ramps were built next to stars and in doorways where needed in the castle and around whitestone so she(and others) can get around with it easier.

wrist brace wears it for stability when writing helps a bit with the arthritis in her joints

reading glasses a different prescription to percy's rarely ever wears them used to swap hers with percy's when they were kids if it werent for percy also needing glasses she never would have used hers ever, probably would have hated them and trashed them really early on

sensory/stim aids percy likes making things for people so he for sure made something for her to fidget with created the first fidget cube for his sister before he made the first guns to ever exist /silly pen twirler. keeps old pens just to fidget with maybe has chewelry? or did as a kid weighted blanket and weighted pillow.

compression wear. her gloves provide compression for her joints also has compression socks

mental:

autistic finds comfort in certain textures, routines, predictable schedule changes and set times she can plan for/around. chronically understimulated but is very quick to overstimulate when there are multiple stimuli outputs has trouble understanding social cues, finds little interest in conversations outside special interests requires/has required some support on occasion definitely has rsd(rejection sensitivity disorder) and prosopagnosia(face blindness) to a degree. didnt recognize percy right away when he came back, especially since it was the first time seeing him in so long he looked (and likely sounded) a bit different from the last time they saw each other so it took a second or more to register who he was outside being charmed by sylas. semi-verbal/speaking, signs instead of speaking when nonverbal if she can, has someone translate the signing for her during meetings, this also helps with her hoh as the translater provides signs when others talk.

would anyone wanna hear my thoughts on how well suited grant would be for every single ranger subclass? yes? okay awesome because i already spent 20 minutes writing it all out on discord then realized i could post that on tumblr for attention

general notes: i am, lightly, in the camp that grant shouldn't be a ranger. i think fighter or rogue would have been just fine for a shooting build and would have made more sense, i really would have liked to see him as an artificer because that would be so cool, and i think just doing the critrole gunslinger handbook would have been the smartest move, even if it isnt quite made for snipers afaik. grant would have been a terrible gunslinger stats wise, assuming from what we've seen (he's mentioned as being the strongest kiddad in this episode which isn't optimized for gunslinger), but it still would have made more sense to me. also lark should have been a ranger. regardless! grant is the ranger, and rangers are one of my favorite classes in base d&d, so i am going to infodump now

Beast Master - Severely unlikely considering Grant isn't shown to have any animal companion. Also Linc would be furiously jealous. 0/10

Drakewarden - Also severely unlikely for the same reasons as above, but I think it would be really cool. Give Grant a dragon pleeease. Linc would still be furiously jealous though. 2/10

Fey Wanderer - Unlikely since it's more Wis/magic-focused than a traditional fighting ranger build. Grant is not a wisdom/charisma guy, he is a 'shoot people' guy. 0/10

Gloom Stalker - Not one of my top three, but one that I REALLY LIKE for Grant. The emphasis on ambushing and the idea of disappearing into the background fits snipers well, and I think the... edginess LOL just suits him. It would definitely set off his "I'm evil and terrible forever and nothing can change this" intrusive thoughts if he had magical blend-into-the-darkness powers. This is what I like to headcanon Lark as having generally, but I think if Grant is the ranger of the group, then it works for him really well. 7/10

Horizon Walker - This one is, if Lark was also a ranger, what I think Lark would be canonically. Once again, this means it also works for Grant. It's more likely to me than Gloom Stalker since Horizon Walker has a lot of focus on swapping planes, and that seems to be something that the kiddads put a LOT of focus on. It also deals heavy damage, which is fitting for Grant. I can see Anthony flavoring Distant Strike as a sniper shot purely based on the name then realizing his mistake later and pretending he was right anyways. (Additional note: This is what Taylor is, which I forgot until I googled it after writing this whole long post! Good job Freddie, I did not have faith in you to make that good of a decision (joke)) 8/10

Hunter - What is most likely because it is the most generic ranger. Anthony will never think about this as much as I do. It's also good for taking lots of damage, which doesn't make sense for a sniper but I think fits Grant's general vibe of being the toughest of the kiddads. 10/10

Monster Slayer - Just Hunter but without the flexibility. So once again, makes sense, and since it's suited for archery builds, that makes it even more fitting since it can even replace the Sharpshooter feat in some ways. 10/10

Swarmkeeper - Extremely unlikely but it would be so funny and also MADE FOR ME because this is my favorite ranger subclass. Come ooon Anthony, give my silly little guy a swarm of bees or something. 0/10

Views on shit for writing: I reaaallly don't subscribe to the whole concept of proship/antiship. I take requests on what I'm comfortable writing.

I DO accept nsfw requests, but only within appropriate age ranges. I am comfortable writing age gaps but please dm me and i'll write something on a different site, same with any other typically "taboo" requests. I will not release a "will not/will write" list because that's just inviting problems.

Dc: Ages are played with a lot in DC, so any characters that are generally accepted as minors/adults will be treated as such. I.e: Damian Wayne, Jon kent will be treated as kids unless you specify a universe where they're older (like when Older!Jon came to that one Earth)

How many works do you have on AO3?

21, but one's a collection of fe3h drabbles and small fics totalling 13.

2. What's your total AO3 word count?

98,576 apparently! ...seems about right.

3. What fandoms do you write for?

uh. Genshin... Critrole... Fire Emblem Three Houses... also Fate Zero, finally, triumphantly, eventually. I've written bits of stuff here and there for other ones but most of it isn't published.

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

night and death and the rain are given, 729, because Kaeya whump brings out the fans?? also I had a good update schedule for it, haha, which probably helped.

flame to dark, 393, my first Genshin fic. I guess Diluc whump is also popular. I remember being so chuffed that people liked it.

something which nobody may keep. 219, fain's dear angst art made into a Whumptober 2022 prompt... wait, that was just last year?

the sea, the storm, the stars, 217, right after. writing about Kazuha is hard because thinking about him hurts a little, but I do love this story so.

a gently welcoming darkestness, 186, which surprises me that it made the top 5 since that was where my regular update schedule went to die, and didn't take off as quickly. but I'm glad folk ended up liking it.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I do! although if someone comments on each chapter I may not respond to every single one. but I like to respond, because I like to be responded to on mine when I can be, and because it does make me so happy for them to comment.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

oh boy. that's a toss-up between the last of my fe3h drabbles that I put up, "not glory nor goodness," and just about any of my fate zero pieces, but probably on these sands I built my fortresses. the horror of having to kill Felix at Arianhrod, because not killing him means other students die, vs. Saber's shame and self-hatred and having to kill one of her old associates too. maybe I should say the fe3h one because I don't like re-reading it but I will the other one.

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

I... was going to say I usually did happy endings but that's not quite true. I write ambiguous, nervous, and hopeful-in-the-midst-of-confusion endings. I think the only uncomplicated happy endings I've done were the fluff fics for a couple exchanges. specially driftwood and light for Critrole, which is all about getting rescued!

8. Do you get hate on fics?

no, thankfully, though I did get someone once commenting that my snarky/dark humor author's notes on some whump fic ruined the mood. it stung a bit, but I kept doing it, and also deleted the comment.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

heh... I do not... I tend to think what characters do in the bedroom is their own business, although now and again I admit some amorphous spicy headcanon occurs to me. usually in regards to someone else's suggestion or a fic that I scroll past that I think brazenly mischaracterizes their sex lives...

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

usually don't, but I do have a funky little dialogue piece between RWBY characters and Morgaine and Vanye from the Morgaine Chronicles that I never posted. This is because I think I may be the only person in the universe who is familiar with both fandoms. if there are any others I really want to meet them though.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

hope not! ...though there was one that got published shortly after the author put kudos on one of mine, and it was a very similar concept and similar imagery at several points. but they did a totally different thing with it and went in a different direction! so even if it was borrowed it was Fair Use and I'm rather proud of them. :)

not that I know of!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

no, but I'd love to someday! I am not good at plots. I admire when folk are good at plots. I want to be part of their plots and fill in all the corners with conversations and angst and character stuff.

I'm not really a shipper of anything particularly, but... I suppose the only ship tag I actually ever used is for Zen and Shirayuki from snow white with the red hair? and I do love their relationship, haha.

oh! that reminds me. I think my favorite ships are Hak/Yona from Yona of the Dawn and also Royai from FMA just like my tagger said.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

...of original works? oh so many. of fanfic? uh... I want to write a Fate/Stay Night AU where Saber saves Ilya, and I did start it. what's likelier to happen there is I write it as a bunch of short stories and they may just end up being bittersweet with a side of catharsis?

I want to write an Inazuma Rebellion AU for Genshin but that's more of a "literally never started" than any kind of "in progress."

16. What are your writing strengths?

I think it's fair to say description? people mention it a lot, and I like to write it. I love words. words are amazing. the things that people can do with words are amazing. I like to make words do cool things too.

I like writing dialogue a lot too, when I can.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

plots. pacing, sometimes. fight scenes, or used to be, but I think I'm getting better at them.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

I never have, but if it came up I could try? though I certainly wouldn't trust google translate.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

in little bits and snipppets... the Chronicles of Narnia when I was a small kid, and then Warriors Cats like the rest of us (heh), and I think Redwall? I made stories up about the sci-fi series Dad read to us when I was very very young, but I don't think I'd call them writing per se.

and then I did a lot of mediocre heartfelt Lord of the Rings fic when I was 11-12ish, which I didn't post although my friend encouraged me to. that was the first fandom where I wrote anything more than, like, half a page. in fact, it was very many pages. I want to say there were like 4 separate OCs and concepts I was writing, and they never intersected, they were all just different twists I had.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?

that's a tough one. I... actually really love my longer fe3h fic, the bright and the broken - which completely elided all ships in a very shippy fandom with an alacrity that was not my intent but my outcome. the conv I wrote there, about helping people being like dropping pebbles in a well, and never knowing which one is going to be the one that lifts them high enough to reach the light... I think about that still and I'm not sure where I got it but I think it's true. also encapsulates what I love the most about Three Houses. loving people is how you change the course of the narrative... you can't save everyone all the time but you can save almost everyone most of the time if you do what you can??

I think my fate/zero trilogy is the most uh... emotionally cathartic of them for me though. I hope it finds the approximately 2.9 people in the universe besides me that it makes sense to, wherever they are.

4. what was the last straw that made you finally block that annoying person?

i can't think of a singular "annoying person" in fandom that i've felt compelled to block in a while. most of the time, if i'm blocking someone over fandom, it's just because i don't mesh with their interpretations and it's the easiest way to filter their content out of my dash.

that being said: the first person who came to mind was this user from sherlock fandom who was convinced that they had been the first one to come up with a particular portmanteau or slang or something, and had strong feelings about that. it was their url too, and i think there was some kind of recurring drama where they got mad at people for tagging posts [slang term] because it meant they couldn't check their url tag as easily. it was this really goofy petty drama and for some reason i thought it was the most annoying thing in the world back in 2012 or whenever this was.

also, rjalker, who has since deleted their blog, and who i feel no shame about naming because they said some pretty fucking nasty things to and about me when i made about the most milquetoast "i think murderbot should kiss its friends :-)" post you could think of. they had bad opinions about murderbot and apparently about a lot of other fandoms. but they blocked me first so it doesn't really count for this LMAO

14. that one thing you see in fics all the time

gushing over attributes that a character does not actually have. this is more noticeable with live-action canons, since illustration/animation/text description allows for a lot more individual interpretation. not everybody's fave has long, slender fingers or full lips or a nice ass (this is the biggest one that people delude themselves about). let's not kid ourselves.

16. you can’t understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)

the m/m/f dynamic where it's "the girl with her shit together taking care of her silly boyz" is nothinggg to me. let the woman be messy or an idiot or a weirdo too! it's uptight sitcom wife who has to mother her goofy dumbass sitcom husband with extra steps.

also, femdom where the dom's pleasure is weirdly sidelined or-- sanitized is the only way i can think to word it? unfortunately common in het femdom but it definitely exists in f/f femdom too. all of the focus is put on the sub and what they're getting out of the experience, even if it's the dom's pov. it's kind of like the real-world phenomenon where submissive men will talk a big game about wanting to please their goddess but in reality their idea of "servicing" is ultimately still about what they think is sexy to do, if that makes any sense. let me see how she's feeling too! let me see her enjoying pegging her partner or having her boots blacked or whatever, really viscerally enjoying it.

hard to say what ages exactly he might regress to i dont think he regresses to any fixed age but 6 and 12 might be the more common ones? depends on the day really

of course pike is his primary caregiver, she is big sister and scanlan is more of a babysitter or secondary caregiver the rest of the party dont mind looking after grog too much though

this kiddo has so much energy sometimes it seems like hes got never ending zoomies but he does tire himself out pretty quick

would be indipendant if he didnt have a habit of getting into trouble

yes he is alowed to have weapons, he just needs to promise to be careful and not pick/start/join fights

he's really not picky about food so he doesnt exactly have a snack preference except if its tiny food. lots of tiny little snacks and probably marshmallows. his hot chocolate always has to have marshmallows in it.

it doesnt take much to keep him occupied but because he's easily entertained his attention will also eaily switch from one thing to another hes wandered off following a butterfly when he was supposed to be doing something else so even while you got him doing a task, you gotta keep an eye on him

doesnt fuss or throw a fit he will if he gets really upset but its not often and he usually wont be little when hes angry instead he just gets really pouty

Hi! Just throwing this question out there for a few of the great writers I love and admire because I’m curious to know their opinions~ ^_^ Where do you think Whitestone would be in real life?

In real life as in our IRL world?

Percy is consistently characterised with an upper class British accent so the obvious shout would be somewhere in Britain. Taliesin-as-Percy also notes that the de Rolo family and much of the original population of Whitestone came from Wildemount, which is stated by Matthew Mercer to specifically have Prussian influences - which can be easily used to incorporate a version of Whitestone located in Britain. A lot of Britain's early history, before it became a world power, was characterised by it being repeatedly invaded* and a notable invasion and colonisation was by the Angles** and the Saxons. Saxons originated from Saxony which is an area of Germany and honestly Britain and especially the British upper-class have had a long history of relations with Germanic groups and especially royals. Hells that's part of what dragged everyone into the clusterfuck that was WW1.

So, in short, if we take Wildemount as fantasy Prussia, that would make Whitestone a most likely Anglo-Saxon-established settlement in Britain. As for specific location, I can think of two and these are less based on history and more based on how Whitestone is described in canon.

Firstly, the North of England. Yes, everyone knows that the North of England accent is very different to the Southern English accent (even if it is sadly not given as much representation in media as it should really have) but when you get to the upper classes - nobles socialise more with other nobles than locals of the area they dwell in. Rich people associate more with other rich people than with poorer neighbours. This is an established fact. The North of England is also known for a few minor mountains and hefty hills - the Pennines, Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, etc. - which suits with the Alabaster Sierras, and some of those are closer to the coast. Similarly, the North has a history of coal mining (and coal mine striking, go unions) which would be a possible parallel to whitestone the mineral - whitestone and refined residuum both have hefty magical properties which rather powers a magical world, while coal was for a long time the primary fuel source of much of the world before oil and natural gas were exploited for the same purposes.

The other possible location I can think of would be in Wales. Wales has been technically a part of Britain as a whole and under English rule for fucking ages, but has managed to maintain a considerable national identity despite both that and a lot of efforts to stamp out Welsh language, folklore, culture and the like. This kind of gels with the idea of Whitestone as a city state within the continent of Tal'Dorei, neighbouring the main Emon-run territory but separate too - even as we see it become more infolved over the course of the first Campaign. Secondly, Wales also has mountains! Thirdly, Wales also has coal mines! As well as historical precious metal mining to boot. Fourthly, there's some really niche local folklore and interesting religious history in Wales which I think would tie in well if you were to include the canonical Pelor history. Fifthly, finally.... Wales has some fucking great forests. The North of England has some cool forests too, but I've been up north and I've been to Wales and I remember the woods in Wales and the streams, waterfalls and all much more. The woods, I think, are important, because then you have a Parchwoods. Then you have a means of physical isolation just as in canon.

So yes, I would say if you're putting Whitestone in the IRL world you'd want to locate it in Britain, and if you were locating it in Britain I'd say either the North of England or in Wales, with a heavy leaning towards Wales.
