Well then, when both sides of this fandom come for me with the pitchforks, you better be there to defend me.
I may have a soft spot for Azriel because of his past. Since his arc will be with Gwyn, there is a tiny chance of redemption for him. And she is just an angel who has no direct ties with the IC. I mean, Cassian was a monster because Nesta needed to be crucified. Although I am 100% sure that SJM will make Azriel worse for some drama in Elain's story.
Yeah, I don't really have a preference. Use any tag you want.
You'll be fiiiiine, I've had people from both sides of the fandom come for my head before as well. Any attention is good attention in my professional attention-seeker opinion.
I mean, there are two ways the Gwynriel arc could go, 1- Azriel actually turns out to be a good guy 2- Gwyn gets turned into another one of SJM's house wives who all lose their spine and think their man is God's gift to mankind.
And eh, Cassian was a monster from the begining tbh, the flags are all waving red. Plus, SJM didn't feel the need to crucify Feyre, and she still assassinated her character because she had to conform to Rhysand's shitty personality. I feel as though SJM just doesn't know how to write romance at all. She swings so violently between couples having enemyship and then being in a full-blown romantic relationship and the way she resolves arguments between all of them is using sex (especially violent sex for Nesta, and even Feyre was violated by Rhysand)... so for Gwyn who is a recovering SA victim... I am scared for her.
It actually is really horrific now that I think about it, both of SJM's major romances have been the male main character sexually assaulting the female main character in extreme and violent manners, and it's always, always justified by the MMC 'protecting' them.
And considering the fact that SJM considers Azriel the 'kinkiest' of the three batstards, if she thinks literal SA is tame by comparison.... I'm terrified for Gwyn actually.
In the end it comes down to the fact that SJM doesn't know how to properly write romance arcs. I will give credit where credit is due, she's not terrible at foreshadowing, which is why I think Gwynriel is most certainly happening, and I do think out of the three romances, it'll be the most healthy. But in the end, I don't see it being particularly great either.
I also don't like Gwynriel solely for the reason that it means we absolutely getting Elucien... Which terrifies me even more. Free my man Lucien. I would much prefer a Vassien arc (wishful thinking, but my ultimate want is a Tamcien arc but I think we're more likely to get Tamris, than Tamcien.)

If Cassian never saying I love you is not an issue because his "actions speak louder than words" than I'd like to propose we keep the same attitude for tamlin as well.
Who cares if he hasn't apologized, isn't bringing feyre's mate back to life enough? Isn't coming to war despite having his court, resources and army destroyed by his petty ex enough? Isn't putting his life at risk by blowing his cover, all to save feyre and her sister enough? Didn't he bring a sht ton of information about hyberns army, weaponry and camp? All of which helped immensely in the war efforts.
All this to: stop the hypocrisy.

Feyre talked about how Cassian and Az would take her away from Rhysand -  and then they would come back to deal with Rhys - if he ever treated her the way Tamlin did. But yet no one is taking Nesta away from Cassian and the IC even though they're treating her worse than Tamlin treated Feyre. It would be nice if Az winnowed Nesta away in the next book and then came back to deal with Cassian and Rhys, but I don't trust SJM to hold them accountable for their actions.

All I said was Rhys and his batboys haven’t never been with Illyrian females sexually. This was on the topic of Feyre culturally appropriating Illyrian women and using Azriels wings as a prop. And I said I will blame Rhys who is already a sexual deviant to want to have this fetishization of flying and fuvking.
If my saying that the batboys haven’t had relations with Illyrian females means I don’t like them then it’s fucking dumb af. Yes I don’t like Rhys but I am not blind to see the social systems of Illyrians. People don’t like Nesta yet they have shipped her with Tamlin. People don’t like Tamlin they have shipped him with Rhys sister. How is this very reasonable theory a bad one? I have already talked about this in-depth on a reblog but again the Illyrian females are not easily accessible. Per my reading and understanding
Many cultures in our real world don’t give their women access to foreign men or the being with another who has a bad rep to taint their women. These females are shunned or killed for even going outside the culture. Peoples world views should start expanding beyond where they live or else things like this will fly over their heads. I’ve heard stories of caste systems, religion etc getting couples killed.
Cassian mother was an obvious example. With Illyrian women you either marry or become a prostitute and your children becoming bastards.
Illyrian pregnancies were also male Illyrians to another female fae which put these females to death, never the other way around.
The way they subjugate their females, what makes you think you can just waltz in and get one? They are also not even regarded as high fae.
We truly do have a lot of material to come to such a conclusion.
I would love other peoples thoughts on this topic honestly. I really want to know am I wrong on this take? My reblog is also on my page if you need to read it.

I feel like there’s a lot to be said about Azriel’s weird relationship with women because it ain’t normal.Like he has this pattern of falling for women that are unattainable, women he knows are unattainable, but that just makes him want them more.Specifically because them being unattainable eliminates the potential of ever being in a relationship with them which he can’t handle because he believes he’s unworthy of them.He also puts them on this weird pedestal where he sees them as divine and pure, and he thinks if he comes near them he’ll taint them with all his baggage which just continuously feeds into his self worth issues.
And despite these women already being unattainable azriel makes them even more unattainable by distancing himself from them, avoiding them, and just acting unbelievably weird around them.He essentially builds this huge bridge between him and these women so he can no longer just crush on them like a normal person,he can only obsess from afar. And because he’s distanced himself so much from these women,he ends up not even knowing who they really are and he’s literally obsessing over some idealized version of them.On top of all of this he’s got the “I’m not good enough/Im too dangerous” mindset but he’s got an obsessive personality so he ends up never moving on from the women he’s trying to push away.
So this combined with his hero complex and inferiority complex is just a recipe for disaster.
This probably has everything to do with his mommy issues and self worth issues but azriel being slightly off putting and weird is just a little fascinating to me.

yk what? Let Gwyn be a fucking lightsinger? So what? I thought y’all love badass morally-grey villainous characters. Or does it not count when it gets in the way of your ship?
Isn’t a lightsinger literally the antithesis of a shadow singer? What about the light and dark imagery y’all live so much? Its not like this theory was born out of care for her character, it was purely just to make Gwynriel look bad. But it wouldn’t even do that in the context of the series
she’s still the same Gwyn; she doesn’t miraculously turn evil just because her crazy parentage is revealed or anything
if you use that “theory” to hate gwyn and call her evil… did you miss the story? An unspoken, but prominent, part of the series is that you are not your background.
The Batboys are regularly differentiated from their Illyrian heritage (problematic as it is). SJM literally makes it a point to emphasize that despite being raised in Illyrian culture they’re actually super feminist and great people unlike their uncivilized barbaric roots. I 100% have my issues with this, but it’s still apart of the narrative.
Their personal issues are that they feel unworthy due to being bastards, and the others work to make sure that they know they aren’t undeserving of love because of their parents
Why tf wouldn’t gwyn get the same treatment??

Something I find wild is that the people who love the IC are the same people who hate on Nesta. Now i already know this but we need to go through each ones personality real quick.
Tumblr media
Rhys: a male with supposedly enough power to be High King of Pyrithan doesn't do anything for his people. Not even for the ones he supposedly loves because even in that city there are slums that he let his mates sister live in (also I can't remember how to spell it Val I think but whatever). A warrior people he keeps in the worst conditions on his mountain plains because they are just too stubborn even though we don't have a story or see him actually suggesting this to any of the leaders of any camp. And Hewn City, need I say more? They are treated horribly by him and then he wonders why they have a bad attitude when most haven't even breathed fresh air?
Tumblr media
Mor: now I kinda like Mor but if I'm honest she doesn't have much depth besides a female who was traumatized and now dresses sexy. I don't care she's a lesbian I'm bi it doesn't matter to me much. If a character is boring i will state that fact no matter the sexuality. And Mor? Well is fucking boring. But also her as a character. She rules Hewn City in Rhys steed on many occasions, she hates how they treat fae females down there, but has she done anything for them? Because I can't think of one occasion she actually helped one instead of berating them and saying they should be grateful. She treats them the way she was treated but were supposed to feel sorry for Mor? That makes no sense.
Tumblr media
Cassian: he is pretty much the angry warrior guy of the group. He's the wild dog on a leash just waiting for his master to let him free (Rhys). He treats his mate like shit on his boot and then wonders why she avoids him like the fucking plague. He verbally and at times physically abuses his own mate but were just supposed to brush that off as him having anger issues? He also had destroyed Summer court and has yet to apologize because he was just "drunk and being stupid". Yeah no you destroyed families homes the least you can fucking do is apologize but instead you just bailed.
Tumblr media
Azriel: now I still like him though he is on thin ice. If he hurts my baby Gwyn I will be going into the book and bitch slapping him to next week. But let's talk about his character. The silent and brooding to complement Cassians dumb idiot persona. He is the resident torturer, yes you heard that right the resident torturer. And it is even implied he enjoys the job. He is a traumatized person who out of all the IC actually tries to connect and help others because of what he went through. He is often frowned on because he is a Shadowsinger and an assassin. The Illyrains look down on him because he is a bastard. Like I said I still like him but he still has done horrible things were just supposed to forget about.
Tumblr media
And finally
Amren: she was powerful and scary until the end of Wings and Ruin. Now she's just a frail female fae with nothing to offer other than knowledge she hardly remembers because she's "Just that old". She had nothing nothing offer anymore other than being the resident rude bitch of the group. She is worse than Nesta and I love Nesta and her bitchyness. She wants everyone to be afraid of her but she doesn't know how to fight and if she does it's been so long we would have to start the training process all over again. She still treats Feyra like a hindrance even though Feyra is supposedly "High Lady". She is honestly just a grumpy old bitch who wants to be a badass but not put in any work. None of the IC have anything to worry about from her anymore other than maybe she knows of something powerful but from her track record she probably forgot where it is.
Tumblr media
My point is so many hate on Nesta because she is a Bitch who doesn't care about anyone but forget the IC are literally filled with that type of character. So it honestly just shows they can't look past hot abs in my opinion.

you're telling me that sjm wrote an entire 2400 page, 3 book series where the central theme was literally "through love, all is possible" and yall really think that author isn't going to have Elain follow her heart and choose love above the fate given bond she has with a man she can't even be in the same room as without sinking into herself and has no chemistry with??
like, lets be so for real rn.
Every other mating bond we have seen across all of her books start with the characters falling for each other before they accept the bond. They admit their feelings for each other before they acknowledge the bond. They fall in love regardless of the bond.
That is just not happening with Elain and L/cien.
SJM has specifically written in the ACOTAR series about rejected mating bonds, accepted bonds where the pair ended up unhappy bc they felt obligated to accept the bond but were a bad match, had Feyre and Azriel question fate and the bond between Elain and L/cien, had Elain try to fight for the love she felt for Grayson despite the hovering mating bond with L/cien, had Rhys state that Elain is not obligated to accept the bond and would be protected if she rejected it, and had Rhys state that the bond is essentially just a sign of baby making compatibility and not a sign of soul mates etc etc.
So why would she force Elain to 'get to know' L/cien better and accept a bond that she clearly doesn't want?
She wouldn't.
Because the answer has always been and will always be
love

To align a well spread and disturbing headcanon that overtook this fandom
The famous argument that Azriel’s presence in Gwyn’s rescue was changed by SJM, therefore it’s a sign that they will be together or they are mates. I saw this being brought up multiple times in discussions.
“SJM changed the scene to make sure Azriel was there for Gwyn!”
Let’s check the text together and verify this, shall we?
First mentioned of the temples being invaded was in ACOMAF, each temple has a missing part of the Cauldron. We learn that Sangravah was also sacked/attacked:
Tumblr media
So let’s analyze this:
Temple was raided, 3 days ago.
We learn the information from Azriel, the spymaster.
Mor looks surprised that Azriel didn’t share the information with her. Azriel just shrugs apologetically, he is doing his job: gathering information of what happened and relaying it first to his High Lord.
We don’t hear anything about a bloody attack against the priestesses and children that live there m. It’s very open for interpretation but it sounds like a surprise attack, they were looking for something, Azriel knows about it. Now, we can assume one of the two: either he had one of his contacts informing him about it or he went to the temple himself.
So next, we have ACOSF version of the attack. First, Cassian telling Nesta what happened:
Tumblr media
So we now have:
Azriel was there, he killed the soldiers in the temple
Mor was also there, she even rescue one and brought her to the library personally
So from not knowing about the attack, we have Mor actually participating in the rescue. And we have confirmation that Azriel was there, and it was not a intel source that shared with him about the attack.
The next and final dialogue about the attack comes from Gwyn’s own personal experience, sharing it with Nesta:
Tumblr media
Now, we have:
Azriel arriving first, saving Gwyn and killing all the soldiers as Cassian previously mentioned
Mor arriving next, and healing Gwyn
Even Rhysand is now at the temple, showing up himself in the aftermath of the attack
Azriel leaves to go after the remaining soldiers for what we can assume is to recover what was stolen
The whole attack was changed to add the main characters presence. Not only Azriel was there, but Mor and Rhysand. So SJM didn’t change one single detail, she changed the whole thing to give Gwyn a background story and give her trauma weight by involving the main characters in her rescue.
The argument that Azriel was included in the rescue of Gwyn’s personal trauma to be read as foreshadowing to a possible romance is deeply troubling in my opinion. If I was the author I would never relate a rape scene with true mates. I have no idea who started this argument in favor of a ship but someone has to realize how distasteful this is?
Gwyn’s rescue was structured and rewritten to fit the attack SJM once previously mentioned in the second book of the series. This is her trying to be smart about it, and giving more substance to a side character she introduced 3 books later. The little J. K. Rowling’s touch, as SJM loves to tell.
So no, it’s was not only Azriel’s presence in the attack that was changed. The whole thing was written with the goal of enriching Gwyneth, as a new character.
Please stop using this as argument for romance foreshadowing. It is not. The whole scene is not supposed to be read as romantic coded or foreshadowing mates, and it’s simply disturbing to use this as an argument. Please stop.

this fandom has got to be the most delusional, gaslighting, toxic, and weirdest fandom Ive ever been in. they get weirder everyday.
why the hell do you want tamlin with ELAIN??? where did this bryce and azriel ship come from???? where is all the feyre hate suddenly coming from???? why is everybody shipping azriel with anything they get their eyes on????? why the hell are people fighting over a bonus chapter???? why are people saying rhysand raped feyre???? why are people saying gwyn and emerie are nyx aunties??? (pretty sure feyre has never met them at all) what are these people making up nowadays??? (this isnt even half of what people are saying)
It's about time I leave this fandom fr.
Hey anon 🫶
heavy on this fandom being so delusional, toxic and great at gaslighting people to believe their interpretations.
I think it comes down too so many factors- acosf has brought on more mature, critical readers that take everything too seriously instead of enjoying this for the lighthearted, barely fleshed out fantasy series that it is. Like ACOTAR is not that deep. People hate Feyre for how she treated and behaved with Nesta. After reading acosf, feyre critics simply think Feyre is a superficial, two faced, biased narrator that doesn’t serve a great purpose unlike her elder sister. Ofc, Rhys has also gained critics due to how he acted out in acosf which led to people judging him in every way possible. No he didn’t r4pe Feyre. Did he SA her? That is too your own interpretation. But r4pe? No. Others say he used feyre as a breeding mule so he can have a child and an heir & doesn’t actually care about feyre, he just loves using her as a puppet. This take is also due to feyre being quite young so some Rhys antis believe he may have coerced/pressured her into having a child. After acosf, people love Nesta and the Valkryies more then they love the IC therefore want the acosf trio to be centre staged going forward. Forget Feyre, Nyx apparently will love his aunt and her friends more then his own parents at this point.
Honestly, people just hate elriel for whatever BS reason and want a suprise twist & chaos such as Elain ending up with her sisters’ emotionally unstable, borderline abusive ex will cause. Same goes for those that ship Az with any woman he interacts with. He talked to gwyn? They’re mates and will forever be in love. Omg he touched Bryce’s hands? That is such clear foreshadowing that Bryce will leave Hunt, break their bond and fall in love with Azriel who is her real mate. Gwyn appeared in a few pages of a limited edition bonus? Her book is next and she will accomplish everything that needs to be done all whilst waiting in the background for Az to notice her so they can fall madly in love.
Yh I know. The fandom has gone so long without a book, stans have become bored. They’ve over analysed the books to death trying to find opinions and takes that will get them rival. People are so bored, they’re coming up with theories to excite them, someone honestly told me that the rejected mate bond trope will be between feysand. People hate the direction the books are going in, therefore want to find anything to justify another storyline that suits their preferences.
If leaving the fandom brings you peace, then go for it. What we really need is a fandom cleanse which will be brought about once elains book and then elriel is confirmed.

A friend asked how I would rewrite Acosf, so I came up with everything listed below and it kinda makes me want to write a fic now!
Let me know what you think!
If I had Acosf my way…
The Beginning: Nes stays in the Night Court but Feyre and Elain are the only people trying to stop her from spiraling. No IC involvement. They recommend Nes visit the HoW library where the priestesses have therapists. Elain has been seeing them and she thinks it would be beneficial for Nes as well. Perhaps they have incentives for Nes to visit them after recommending it a couple of times (no threats of unpaid rent or forcing her to be at an IC gathering).
Again, Nes isn’t forced to do anything for or with the IC.
The Found Family: We see her begin to make friends—who treat her like a person—in the library AND in Velaris. She makes friends with both high and lesser fae, maybe helping them in the process—you know, because Velaris has slums and homeless refugees. She could even bring this to Feyre’s attention.
Nes either joins a dance studio or starts sneaking into one to dance. This helps her come to terms with what her grandmother/mother did to her. She faces those memories and pushes past them because she likes to dance. (Imagine her doing 30+ turns while crying?! That would be so emotional).
The Valk storyline still happens because it’s so integral for the entire story going forward—and yes, including Cassian’s involvement, but he sexualizes and uses her WAYYYY less. Training is more of a group thing and because Nes makes it very clear she doesn’t want to be involved with him (yet), Az is the one instructing her.
The Dread Trove: Nes begins to heal before Feyre alone asks for her help with the Trove. This will also include Elain’s help. Feyre doesn’t think Elain should go out to search for the Trove because she has no combat training. Nes does have some training at this point. Feyre makes this choice completely optional and urges Nes that she can say ‘no.’ But Nes accepts… because the Mother is nudging her to do so and she feels this need to look for the Trove.
Nes’ SA by the Kelpie is addressed. Nes’ vision from Lanthys is addressed. After finding the Harp, Nes will not longer face ANY SA scenarios or be sexualized by men at any capacity. (This could factor in with her choices with romantic interests because Cassian does it so often canonically).
The Conflicts: Nes is never forced to stay in the HoW (I know we miss out on that relationship but she’s making other friends). Feyre’s pregnancy is not a thing. Nes does get kidnapped with Em and Gwyn for the Blood Rite—and still holds the pass (her Ordeal). After holding the pass, she makes the Drop, using her power to defeat Briallyn, who is more formidable than what we got and Cassian isn’t there (because I’m sick of her saving his *ss in every fight).
The Power: Nes doesn’t lose her power. She begins to train it, with Merrill or with one of the priestesses studying the Cauldron or old magic. It’s an extension of her Valkyrie training. We also get allusions to Nes’ connection with the Starborn and the Dusk Court.
The Romance: Hear me out… she meets Eris in Velaris (I don’t believe he is allowed in but let’s pretend he is now). We see Nes get to know Eris–verbal sparring, casual clashing, shared interest in dancing. 👀 Coffee dates? Random run-ins? We also get to see Eris’ true character through Nes’ eyes.
And again, yes… Cassian is still an option. He’s less gross than he is in Acomaf, Acofas, Acosf, and Hofas. (That turnaround would be a tall order though). Maybe that’s his growth and character development—treating women with respect.
Now we have a situation where readers are on the edge of the beds to see who will woo Nes first. Aka, an actual romantic plotline for a romantasy book.
Conclusion: Honestly, this could be two books. Nes’ healing, training, friend making, romance, and locating the Dread Trove split so that it feels like more of a difficult, longer process.
This is all out of order but if anyone would like for me to lay out a timeline of events, let me now!

hi there, this is my first time asking anything from anyone on here. but, i am a big fan of your work.
i was wondering, when given the time, can you write about how Feyre and Rhysand diss Tamlin at a high lords meeting, but Eris and Lucien are quick to defend him? Lowkey even Nesta gets upset.
i’m a simp for these four. again, when given the time, there’s no rush.
thank you 🥰
Hi!!!! I'm so glad you like my works, thank you for the compliment!
I love this prompt request, I too am a simp for these four. So, without further ado, here you are!
Edit (future me here) I just realized after writing this that you meant for me to rewrite the original High lord's meeting, I am so sorry I thought you meant a future meeting. I can rewrite this later if you would like to see that, but so I don't leave this request for too long, here is what I wrote, I hope you enjoy it!
Another monotone meeting, another set of excruciating hours. Purple eyes flicking to him at every twitch and odd breath. Fingers tapped against the wooden armrests, and his hand slid to her knee. Pale skin gleaming in the light of day, splotchy against her tattooed arms. Blue eyes once stormy pale, were like deep pools, reserves for power and magic since being turned Faery. She looked at her husband, then flicked towards him. They were speaking mind to mind. Tamlin looked towards Thesan speaking.
It was a lengthy speech that alluded to alliances forming between Dawn, Day, Winter and Summer. A discreet hint for Night, Spring and Autumn to get past differences and keep peace between the Courts.
Eris, lounging in his golden chair, the peaks of his bejewelled crown glinting in the light, asked to see the contract they had all signed. With a quick glance, he smoothly began asking questions, subtly voicing his interest.
Tamlin simply watched and listened. Not having been born with the ability to speak words very well aloud, he found another talent he possessed. In silently watching and determining decisions from observations. He listened intently as Thesan and Eris went back and forth for several minutes, before Eris placed the contract on the large glass table they all sat at.
“You have a deal, Lord Dawn.” Eris wickedly grinned, signing his name to the paper and handing it back to Theasan.
“Glad to see eye to eye with you, Lord Autumn.” Thesan bowed his head only slightly, before he cast smart eyes between Night and Spring.
Feyre wrinkled her nose at the contract and Rhysand placed a hand on her shoulder, expression smug and proud. Neither looked as though they would reach for it, so Tamlin made his final decision.
“May I view the contract, Lord Thesan?” Tamlin asked.
Thesan nodded as he handed it over. Green eyes flicked to amber ones, Eris nodded once, confirmation that the contract was legitimate. Tamlin trusted Eris more than anyone (perhaps besides Lucien, who watched quietly from beside Helion) and since their recent alliances, he had met with the Autumn Lord more than once for advice on Courtly matters and thus trusted his judgement. Though he read it over himself more than once. The paper were enchanted with bargain magic, and once it was signed by every Ruler, it would be sealed, and they would have to keep up their end.
In the end, he found no loopholes. The far too long contract was specially worded in every Lord’s favour. Tamlin was impressed. Placing the contract on the glass, he took up a pen and began to write his name into the paper.
“Deal.” He said, as ink touched the yellowish white.
A scoff echoed from the otherside of the room and Tamlin felt his hand begin to shake even as he ignored Rhysand.
Signing his name, Tamlin handed the contract back to Thesan who murmured his thanks.
Finally all eyes turned to Rhysand and Feyre. Who briefly glanced at each other, before Rhysand said, “We will not be signing, quite frankly I can’t see why any of you would.”
“It is a way to ensure no arguments between territories and smooth workings from now on.” Eris replied easily, eyes disinterested in Rhysand’s antics. Tamlin’s lips flicked up, but only for a moment.
Tamlin glanced over to Lucien, they hadn’t spoken in forever, and every breath felt like a string being pulled tighter and tighter. As if sensing it, Lucien looked over at him. Gods he was breathtaking, wearing lighter colours. Though he still wore simpler clothes. Pale linen trousers and a white shirt with golden accents all over him. A band of gold around his head. He grinned, jerking his head ever so slightly to Night before rolling his eyes. Tamlin stifled a giggle and turned back to what was happening.
Elain and Nesta sat beside Feyre. Nesta in her Valkyrie gear, with her sword strapped to her back, she looked at Rhysand, eyes turning from careful blankness to confusion with a slight sneer.
Rhysand said, “There are no arguments between Courts.”
He looked over at Tamlin, the Spring Lord’s muscles locked up, but he faced those venomous eyes with no emotion.
“Well I suppose there is one that stirs up trouble for the rest of us. But for someone who was raised by the woods, what should we expect?”
“I’d close my mouth there Rhysand,” Tamlin replied, “Considering you met your brothers in the mud of Illyria.”
“At least I wasn’t known as a feral beast.” Rhysand said lazily, “I could hold a conversation without being kicked out of a ballroom for childish antics.”
Tamlin clenched his fists. Childish antics, yes snapping back at his abusive brothers was childish in retrospect, but he had been on his last thread at that point of his life.
“I do believe you met your shadowsinger there by beating him to a pulp.” Tamlin replied with just as much ease, “I’d call that feral, wouldn’t you?”
A twinkle sparkled in Rhysand’s violet gaze, as he purred, “You know I hardly think your agreement to this deal is a good indication of its legitimacy.”
As Tamlin furrowed his brow, Rhysand cocked his head and finished, “You couldn’t even keep Hybern, your ally, from turning on you. You entire people left you. Why should anyone think you capable of making decisions in regards to your Court?”
Tamlin gripped the rests of his chair, “You know, it does become quite difficult when your ex-lover fucks with your people’s heads in order to remake their memories so they turn against you.”
Feyre’s face turned white with fury as she said, “Don’t turn this on us when you couldn’t keep your Court from falling apart.”
“You caused it to fall apart.” Tamlin hissed, “You plotted and lied.”
“People lie in Court all the time, Tamlin.” Rhysand said, “You not being able to catch Feyre when she pointed at how you truly are is not our problem-”
“Shut your viper’s mouth, Rhysand.” A voice hissed.
Tamlin glanced over at Lucien. Eyes flaming orange, as he glared daggers at the Ruler’s of Night.
“Lucien-” Rhysand began with a proud tone.
“Don’t.” Lucien warned, “Don’t start this when we are trying for peace, the only ones arguing and antagonising are you.”
“We are not-” Feyre tried to cut in.
“Feyre you tore the Spring Court apart when they trusted you as a leader of their lands.” Eris drawled, “You are in no position to make judgements on others here.”
Tamlin nearly gaped at Eris, who briefly glanced at him with… sympathy? Sympathy, in his eyes.
“Hybern’s actions are not ours.” Rhysand argued.
“No, but your actions are yours. And you opened the floodgates for Hybern to come in. You are an accomplice for the lost lives and destroyed lands.” Lucien countered.
Rhysand opened his mouth to argue but another smooth voice cut in sharply.
“They’re right.” Nesta said with flaming eyes.
All eyes went to her. Rhysand flared up with anger, his hatred burning intensely in the room, “You be quiet.” He hissed.
“No, you be quiet, Rhysand.” Nesta gritted out, “We came here for peace, there is no reason to torment others because you are desperate for revenge.”
“You-” Morrigan began to harshly reprimand, but Nesta continued.
“Feyre you killed people when you let Hybern in.” Nesta said, “You have no moral high ground here, you are not justified in what you did.”
“I did no such thing!” Feyre raised her voice, skin burning bright with Day’s drop of power.
Tamlin looked between the three. Watching as Nesta looked towards Eris and Lucien who glanced at each other briefly.
What were they plotting?
“I think that’s all quite enough from you two.” Eris said to Feyre and Rhysand, “Every time we have a meeting it’s your Court that is raising your voices and starting arguments. Threatening others until you get everyone under your thumb.”
“Oh please.” Rhysand murmured, “I could wipe your minds and have you under my thumb. I don’t, I only speak the truth to you.”
“That is exactly what we mean, Rhysand.” Lucien replied smoothly, adjusting the rings on his fingers. Sliding out of his seat, on elegant limbs, he stood, looking down his nose at the Lord of Night.
“You threaten and antagonise. You fuck with people’s minds and expect us to fall to your every whim no matter how impulsive.”
Eris agreed with his brother, saying, “We have no reason to trust you. When at any given moment you could plant false memories in our heads and we’d be none the wiser.”
Stepping slightly towards Tamlin, Lucien said, “You could agree to our new terms and create a Prythian where we are all connected and not at war. But you choose not too, this raises plenty of warnings for the rest of us, not to mention,”
He glanced down at Tamlin, who blinked up at Lucien, dumbfounded.
They were sticking up for him, he realised distantly, not for the life of him able to understand why.
“Not to mention,” Lucien breathed, “You are consistently going at the Spring Court, you killed thousands Feyre, was your massacre not enough?”
“Massacre?” She stuttered out, fists clenched around the rests of her chair. Rhysand grabbed her hand and said, “How dare you-”
“No, how dare you!” Eris stood suddenly, eyes blazing with fire that Tamlin hadn’t seen in a long while in him. A memory of the two training when their fathers met yearly flashed through his mind, the fire that had been in Eris back then…
Reawakened, no longer smothered under the heavy gaze of his father. Now with Beron buried beneath six feet of dirt, Eris’ flame was let loose.
“How dare you sit there, acting as though us trying desperately to restore peace to our lands is laughable when you both are the reason that we nearly lost the war!” Eris’ voice raised as he continued, the room grew hotter and hotter as his eyes turned to liquid gold, swirling with flame.
Lucien stood back on his heels sneering at the Night Court, as Eris went on, “We could have all died because of your reckless actions for the sake of pity revenge, your constant degrading of us will no longer be tolerated.”
“You think you can speak that way, Autumn?” Rhysand hissed, face slightly flushed with embarrassment and eyes simmering with loathing.
“In defence of him, no less?” Rhysand added with a smile to Tamlin that was full of all the hatred he held for Spring.
“In defence of the man who fought for his home at every twist and turn, yes, I will side with him, in nearly every case I will side with him. At least I can trust what he says is true, considering I don’t believe Tamlin has ever told a lie of his own accord, nor would he fuck with my memories to make himself out to be in the right.” Eris snapped back.
Clenching his fists, eyes darting between all of the High lords, Helion stared back at Rhysand with a hardened gaze. Nothing like the usual laid back demeanour he normally held.  Hatred simmered in his gaze, not a speck of starlight in that hardened gaze, the purple darkening to near black. Feyre’s skin glowed with the power of Day as the clad around her magic faltered.
“Don’t you dare throw another temper tantrum, High Lady,” Eris hissed as he stepped sideways, slightly towards the former Lady of Autumn, no beside her Day Court lover. The memory of Feyre’s outburst that resulted in her harming the Lady flashed through Tamlin’s mind.
‘You tore my Court apart because I couldn’t control my magic. Now you do the same.’ He thought.
“How dare you speak to us like that.” She hissed, “After everything our Court has done-”
“Done what, Feyre? Cause problems?” Eris hissed back.
“How dare you speak to my High lady like that.” Azriel shot to his feet, shadows a storm around him, looking as though he was try and ram Eris again.
At the same time, Thesan got to his feet and shouted, “That is enough!”
All at once everyone went quiet, the normally mild-tempered male losing his cool was enough to snap everyone’s attention to him.
“That is enough.” He repeated, quieter, “I think it’s time you leave.”
Rhysand shot a smug look to Eris and Lucien, “I agree, it is time you leave.”
“Rhysand,” Thesan said in warning, “Not them.”
Violet eyes went wide and the room went hot as Feyre also caught on to what Thesan meant.
“No!” Rhysand shouted, “You will not make us leave when we are not the problem here. We have only pointed out facts, we will not be driven out because you all chose to side with the insinuatar of all quaralls today.”
“Rhysand, get out.” Thesan murmured, with quiet vemon that sent a shiver down Tamlin’s spine.
“How dare you.” Feyre said, “How dare you allow them to twist the narrative, because they chose to sign your agreement!”
“I will not ask again.” Gaurds appeared at the doors, no doubt summonded when the arguement started by their High lord, “Either leave, or I will have you removed.”
“You cannot remove us.” Morrigan said, “We will not go.”
A snap of thunderous power shot through the room. Thesan’s eyes glowed bright gold, threads of power whipped around him, his hair became like long waves of glowing magic.
“Get. Out.” He said in a dark voice, half-turned to his true beast form. The strange metallic rendition of his normally calm, soothing voice was enough to make the Inner Circle shoot to their feet. Commanded by the voice of the Lord that ruled this part of the lands.
Everyone but Nesta stood. The Lady of Death along with her Valkryies remained perfectly poised at their chairs.
“You-” Rhysand pointed his finger, no doubt trying to reach deep within his power to overthrow Thesan’s control of him.
Thesan just nodded to the door, and the Inner Circle, commanded by the power of the Ruler, walked as told.
“We will not forget this, Thesan! You will regret this!” Rhysand spat at him as they all winnowed back to the Hell hole they crawled out from.
All power ceased, Thesan returned to his normal state. Those dark eyes turning straight to Tamlin, asking, in that familar soothing voice, “Little Lin are you alright?”
Maybe it was the fact Tamlin had just watched his oldest friend and even older enemy be forced out the door in the name of protecting him. Maybe it was the centuries old nickname Thesan had coined for Tamlin when he was a youngling. Maybe a combination, either way Tamlin felt a tear slid from the corner of his eye and fall down his face. He quickly wiped it away and managed a croaked, “Yeah, fine.”
“We’ll put the meeting on hold,” Thesan said anyway, “A short intermission, and then we’ll return.”
The High lord’s all nodded their agreement, and before Tamlin could stand to run and try to collect himself, the older High lord, now the oldest in the room with Beron gone, appeared quickly before Tamlin, grabbed his wrist and led him out of the meeting room.
“Thesan-” Tamlin tried to pull back, but as they left the room, they winnowed. Whisked off by the winds and scents of breaking dawn.
When they reappeared it was deep within the cherry blossom gardens of Dawn. The soft pink petal fell and kissed Tamlin’s face. Soft and powdery, he turned to Thesan, brow furrowed. Confusion lining his face.
“Are you okay?” Thesan asked once more, in a softer, gentler tone.
Pressure collected in his chest, feeling like his heart may explode. A band around his head, getting tighter and tighter, as hot tears swelled in his eyes. A breeze like honey, pears and fresh blossoms drifted around him, as he whispered, “No.”
Hours passed and he felt like he might cry for day. It was a strange feeling though, to be held while he lost all composure. Thesan’s touch was warm and comforting, and a gentle carrassing feeling spread over his body, he knew it must be the healing magic native to Dawn.
When he finally managed to collect himself, Thesan took him to a room. Waiting outside while he washed his face and tried to reduce the appearence of his red, puffy eyes.
Once Tamlin stopped feeling like he was one minor inconvience from sobbing his mind out again. Thesan said they would return to the meeting now, Tamlin folded his hands behind his back and nodded.
But they didn’t walk towards the meeting room, as they passed through long hallways, filled with tapestrys and painting Tamlin had never seen before, or may have once when he was very little, he asked, “I didn’t think the meeting room was in this direction.”
“We aren’t going back to the meeting room.” Thesan said. Now Tamlin was properly confused, but the High lord just through a knowing smile over his shoulder. Rolling his eyes, Tamlin submitted to allowing the Lord to take him to wherever he was going.
Soon enough, they were in the East Wing of the palace and stationed before a large oak door. Tamlin was about to ask what this room was, when Thesan opened it.
“No, you’re wrong, I win you lose.” Eris hissed at his youngest brother.
“No I win, green cancels out red, you idiot!” Lucien snapped back, grabbing onto the deck of cards Eris was clutching in his hands and tried to rip them out. Eris pulled back and tried to kick him.
“You’re so fucking annoying!” Eris yelled as Lucien proceeded to try and launch himself at the Autumn lord, before their mother caught the back of his shirt and ripped him back down the floor.
“Stop it, Lucien he wins.” Andrea scolded.
“No, but ma-” Lucien attempted to save his bruised ego, but a swift slap to the back of his head silenced him.
“No, ‘but ma’s’ from you.” Andrea told him. From across the room, Nesta fell into a puddle of hysterical giggles at the sight, as Gwyn and Emerie clutched their own stomachs in laughter.
“That’s what you get, Lucie.” Cresseida smirked as she took the deck from Eris’ hands, who handed them over easily.
“Tamlin!” Helion noticed his arrival, “Welcome back!”
Tamlin stared with his mouth agape at the sight of the room, every High lord and their Court all lying across the floor filled with pillows and blankets. An array of card games and puzzles strewn amongst them.
“What..”
“We figured since Night is gone, we could all relax a little.” Thesan explained.
“It’s really only them that are so uptight.” Kallias quipped from where he was, head in his wife’s lap whilst she quietly cheated in a game with Tarquin. With his head focused in on his own cards, he did not notice Viviane sneaking a peak and playing accordingly. Gwyn stifled giggles when she saw it.
Lucien shot to his feet, puling away from the grip of his mother, and grabbed Tamlin’s hand, “C’mon Tam, you’ll be alright.”
“Yeah, you have to be on his team to help him win.” Eris said as he watched Cresseida shuffle the deck.
“You are a cheater!” Lucien yelled as he pulled Tamlin down amongst the pillows, Thesan closed the door and followed them into the chaotic yelling that overtook their ‘meeting’.
For once in his life, Tamlin was thanking Rhysand for causing problems once more. It led to a far better outcome then he could have ever imagined.

I know Az's book will focus somewhat on Mor, and him coming to terms with whatever feelings he has for her and moving on from them, but I really hope the issue of Mor is brought up in relation to Cassian as well.
When it comes to Az, he needs to realize that pining after a female who's not interested in him is not okay. He also needs to come to terms with feeling unworthy of her, of Elain, of anyone. His silence when Rhys asked, "What of Mor, Az?" is not a good thing. Whatever he feels for Mor needs to be addressed, and let go of. The fact that he doesn't answer the question is a major red flag that he hasn't moved on yet.
When it comes to Cassian, Mor is also a major red flag. In ACOMAF, Cassian wanted to be with Nesta even though she was human. He wanted a future with her - even if it only lasted a few decades - but was embarrassed to tell Mor. In ACOWAR, Nesta was the one who noticed that Cassian was injured and was the one who bandaged him up. The two of them held hands afterwards, until Mor showed up and then Cassian immediately dropped Nesta's hand in embarrassment and completely ignored her to talk to Mor. In ACOSF, when Nesta wanted an ornate mating ceremony, Cassian's initial reaction was embarrassment because he was worried what Mor might think. He cared more about his sister's thoughts on his mating ceremony than what his own mate wanted. That's not a healthy relationship for Nesta to be in, and she deserves better than that. She deserves a male who's going to care more about her feelings than Mor's.
Mor's presented as this perfect person, but yet she's one of the greatest character flaws in both Az and Cass.

The people who are crying 'racism' and 'bigotry' over Elain with wings are the same weirdos who were up in arms about mermaid Elain fanarts (because apparently that's only for Gwyn).
Because obviously having wings means she's Illyrian now, the same way Feyre was?
Feyre didn't become Illyrian just because she could grow wings. Elain wouldn't either.
Moreover it's just a fanart. Artists have creative freedom to make art.
And if they have problems with Feyre having wings too, and if they think the author is bigoted or zionist or whatever hateful buzz word they want to plaster onto her, then why are they even in the fandom? Why are they adding to her fandom if they hate her so much? Why so invested?
It's because of such people that artists stop making fanarts or engaging with the fandom. They throttle everyone's creative spirit by their bullying and virtue signalling.
This comes from a POC (me) who's had enough of this bs virtue signalling. These people have no issues fancasting their fave white boys as Illyrians but they cry about race when it's something they don't like.
I say cry harder and be upset about Elain with wings, makes no difference. I and others will support this artist.

What I don't understand is why Azriel would get his own book.
This was originally supposed to be a series about the Archerons, right? And sure, he's a fan favorite. But from a storytelling perspective, he's just another supporting character. He's important, but so is Mor. So is Amren. So is Tamlin. So is Helion. So is Eris. and I'd argue that ALL of those characters have more open plot points surrounding them and much more interesting stories to tell. So why Azriel? Or at least why ONLY Azriel?
(This is assuming that one of the remaining books is an Elain book and the other belongs to azriel)
If there are two books left, I'd rather have an Elain duology. Or another Nesta book (let's dump cassian and rule the dusk court with Eris and the Valkyries or smth). There are ways for Azriel's story to be explored plenty through either of those options. so like why is he getting his own book?
Is it literally bc the other two bat boys had books with their HEA, so he can't be left out? (lol i feel like we've been over this)
