Started playing Gotham Knights and oh no, this feels like it's catered to Me, Specifically. I can already tell I'm gonna sink a lot of hours into this. Just from the first couple of missions I'm having a lot of fun, and I'm curious to know how combat opens up later.
I know that the Arkham games are "better" but I'm gonna be honest, the grimdark tone of them doesn't fit well with me and I can't exactly see myself having a lot of fun with them. It doesn't hurt that I'm more interested in the kids than Bruce himself, and I like the fact that GK has him as a lingering presence that haunts the narrative rather than a playable character.
I'm still very unsure about how I feel about Barbara moving away from being Oracle and back to Batgirl. I know there's a lot of in universe justification for it, between advancements in medicine and other things like physical therapy/back braces, but it... hm. I like Oracle as a concept more than I want Babs to be Batgirl (nevermind the fact that I feel like she's a little old to have the Batgirl title), and I really wish they had branched out to Cass or Stephanie for the role.
Maybe the game will surprise me, who knows -- I'm still very early in, and I haven't chosen Batgirl for any major missions yet. I know that I'll probably do a bunch of playthroughs of the game to see character interactions depending on who you're controlling (because I am Mentally Unwell and a slut for character interactions) so I'm willing to let it lie for now.
Another reason why I feel like I'm having fun with it is that it's reminding me a lot of the Sly Cooper games, and it's scratching the itch that Assassin's Creed instilled in me of "be stealthy, scare the shit out of the mobs" and getting bonuses for doing so. I've been cackling a little.
Anyways, we'll see how this turns out~

Would you like to win this or other awesome prizes?!
Tumblr media
Not going to lie, Gotham Knights’ cancellation hit me hard. It was so clear how much of themselves the writing team poured into the story, especially Natalie, and the last episode where Sharper went canon and Steph came out reflected my own experiences in a really visceral way that meant a LOT to see play out on cable TV.
I’m sure it’s partially because of how much the cast & production team have interacted with the fandom (I’ve never had a show creator reply to my tweets or care to talk to me personally before 🥺) so I felt pretty gutted by this show getting tabled.
With the strike still hot, I don’t think a rescue campaign will do much at the moment, so I thought I might try and spread positivity another way. I’ve had this raffle in the planning stages for a while, I wanted to celebrate my newest original book release by giving back, which is why I had these signed.
Between GK and Misha’s demining campaign for U24 & Legacy of War in Ukraine losing a bit of steam, it feels like as good a time to put it out there.
My personal goal is to raise $1k for Misha’s demining fundraiser! I would love to make that happen.
This raffle is easy: donate $5 or more to that effort, send me a receipt, and be entered to win. You can also donate to Random Acts and get a second entry.
Donations must be NEW! Receipts dated from now to the end of the raffle. The goal is to boost the fundraiser!
All the info/links are here:
Linktr.ee/enchantedinkraffle
Prizes (max one prize per person):
2 will each win a copy of Enchanted Ink signed by Misha Collins & Jensen Ackles
1 will win an Enchanted Ink author-signed book bundle with all of the release merch!
Several will win an author-signed copy of the book!
1 will win a Misha-signed “Wildflowers” art print from @valderie and Spotted Hound Design
Tumblr media
1 will win @dustyl’s Misha-signed “Big Demining Energy” poster!

U.S. residents only due to shipping costs. If you are IA and willing to pay shipping or would like to donate your win to a U.S. resident, that is also fine, but please check shipping costs before committing—they are higher than you think.
There is a video on my TikTok explaining the raffle in detail, or if by some chance you’d just like to grab the book or merch, you can find that info here:

PLEASE boost this if you see it! 🥺
I would greatly appreciate the support in making this a success ❤️

I love p but I think she should be taking a bit of the blame when she has been played into many good positions but hasn’t scored or at least tested the gk. Yes she’s a creator but it would be lying to say that she isn’t the one we expect to deliver goals the most
her shooting has been plain bad and when I didn't want her as a 9 it was mainly so she could create but also because I think someone else might actually be in better shooting form at the moment. she shouldn't be crucified or anything, and she has still been their best player, but she wasn't at her best in this tournament

WonFest 2023 Announcements and Updates
I may as well talk a bit about the announcements and updates from this WonFest (Summer 2023) that caught my eye. In all honesty, there weren't a ton that got me interested, but maybe that'd change if I was somehow magically able to attend the event. Who knows.
The first things that come to mind are the QuesQ and eStream Bridget figures, from Guilty Gear. I don't play Guilty Gear nor do I have much interest in it at all outside of Bridget, but her being canoncially trans has made her a loveable character to me. I don't think I'll end up picking up the figures once they release, but they do look cute and do her justice in my eyes.
There was also an alt-colour Pop Up Parade of Bridgette announced from Max Factory, but I'm generally not a fan of alt colour figures and as someone who isn't actually a Guilty Gear fan it didn't interest me at all. I just found it worth mentioning as I talked about other Bridgets.
QuesQ Figure || eStream Figure || Max Factory Figure
Something that did genuinely catch my eye for a source I have a genuine interest in is the Ame-chan Pop Up Parade from Needy Streamer Overload. I think Needy Streamer Overload is a neat game and some pretty cool criticism of content creation and the way people treat creators. And Ame-chan has a design I like a lot more than OMGKawaiiAngel, so finally getting a figure announced of her was exciting. The prototype looks cute so far, and I like the pose well enough. The figure is coming from Good Smile Company.
Ame-chan Figure
Something else that really excited me was the announcement of not just one, but two pairs of Doukyuusei figures - Pop Up Parades and Nendoroids. I love Doukyuusei, it's one of the first queer mangas I read and one of the ones that I remember most fondly. I'm happy to see it being achnowledged again and I look forward to seeing the protoypes for all four figures.
[I won't link for this one, since there isn't much to see without a prototype yet. If you're interested though, check Good Smile's social media, or find the figures on MFC.]
There was also an announcement for a new series of Persona figures of the protagonists for Persona 3, 4 and 5. Again, there's no prototypes, but the announcement art has a cute style, and I am considering picking up at least Narukami once these figures are released.
Good Smile Company also announced a nendoroid of 808 from Hi-Fi Rush, which made me stim with happiness when I first saw it. I adore Hi-Fi Rush, and I'm happy to see it finally being achnowledged by these companies. If I can afford her when she releases, I'll definitley be picking 808 up. It's another figure with no prototype, but she's lovely all the same.
As always, there were a bunch of Miku announcements too. A new B-Style Bunny figure from FREEing... which I was never gonna like since I don't like most bunny figures, a figure with no prototype for now from Hobby Max, a prototype with a beautiful sculpt from Stronger and a prototype Pop-Up Parade from Good Smile. I don't actually care too much about any of these, I'm very picky about Miku figures, but I keep an eye on Vocaloid releases wherever possible.
FREEing Figure || Stronger Figure || Good Smile Figure
The prepainted Remilia from Apex, based on N Collection's gorgeous Remilia, was hugely exciting actually. She's going to be very far out of my budget, but she's absolutely gorgeous to look at. I'm always happy to see GKs be picked up as prepainted figures, it gives me hope that eventually some of my faves with only Garage Kit figures will get a prepainted too. I'm looking at you, Minoriko Aki. And no, the cancelled Griffon figure doesn't count.
Remilia Figure
There were also a couple of interesting Garage Kits, like the Yoimiya from Saddle and the 2022 Snow Miku from mobius, but Garage Kits aren't accessible to me and I don't get too excited about them for that reason.
Outside of that, the only other figures that caught my attention were the ones that caught it for negative reasons. The Kanna Dragon Maid Bunny figure is disgusting to me, considering how young Kanna is obviously supposed to be (and don't pull any of that hundreds/thousands of years old crap, if it looks like a child and acts like a child it's definitley a child.) and the Cirno figure from Solarain as so many small details that're off about it that it just makes me uncomfortable. It's an unfortunate reminder of how weird the anime industry and community can be. But until people can be normal about children, it's not gonna change. Which sucks ass, obviously.

All civilizations that possessed writing regarded it as extremely valuable, but its evolution was never recorded and hence invited mythological explanations. It is not surprising, therefore, that we find many legends which describe writing as a divine gift. In the Sumerian-Babylonian pantheon, the 'clear-eyed' lord of the sea Ea (Gk Oannês) was revered as the philanthropic originator of writing. The Egyptians believed that Tehuti, commonly known by his Greek name Thoth, the god of wisdom, learning and magic, was also the inventor of numbers and letters as well as the scribe of all gods. The master of papyrus who was in charge of keeping the score of time, he is usually represented as a man with the head of an ibis or of a baboon. In the Greek mythology he plays an important role as Hermes Trismegistus, a multifarious character blending features of Thoth and the ancient Greek messenger of the gods, Hermes, the golden-voiced interpreter who was also the god of commerce and cunning and the patron of thieves. The Chinese knew of a heaven-sent turtle which emerged from a river, a set of characters incised on his back as a gift to a legendary emperor. In India, too, the invention of writing was considered a feat quite beyond human capacities. Ganesha, the elephant-faced god of wisdom and remover of obstacles, is credited with this achievement. He is said to have broken off one of his tusks to use as a stylus. And Devanagari, the principal script of the Hindus, is the 'heavenly script'. In the Islamic tradition God himself was the creator of writing, which is why every letter is exalted. Odin of the Northern Saga is another god of writing, the inventor of the runes, just like his Mesoamerican colleague Itzamná, the supreme creator divinity of the Mayas. These and many similar legends reflect an important aspect of the early history of writing. Once fully developed, ancient scripts were rather complex. They were quite beyond the reach of the vast majority of the population. Scribes were a small and privileged class, often priests. For the masses engaged in productive labour, writing was a mystery, a secret code understood only by those nearest to the gods whence it originated.

Thoughts on favorite ships
Tumblr media
First of all, anon, you are so so so sweet!! Thank you so much, you made my poor little heart melt ♡ I am glad you like them since, you know, making people feel some type of way is the main reason any content creator does their stuff! Once again thank you, my dear! ♡
That’s an interesting question! I am not a big shipper at all, even in fandoms where there are established ships, so, I’d say, I don’t have any otps in GK. HOWEVER, there are definitely few relationships dynamic that a) are so f-ing fantasticly written b) (could) have potential for being a love relationship (platonic, physical, lovehate etc) that I really enjoy. Let’s see.  You can check tosikowrites tag for more.
Tumblr media
  ↪️ TSURUMI AND KOITO
Textbook power play plus a clash of maturity and youth, deception and innocence, despair and hope make this one indeed intriguing. Koito's personality and attitude towards the First Lieutenant are changing, and we are not exactly told whether he trusts the superior or not which makes everything ten times more exciting. Yes, it is these opposites that make their dynamic a good material for mmm I’d say something more nsfwish? It doesn’t look like a fundament for anything else imo.
↪️ KIKUTA AND ARIKO
In opposite to first one, this dynamic is heartwarming. Like. Lying in the bombed trench, calling out to each other in the pitch-black night pierced by the silver crescent moon? Poetic. Ariko giving Kikuta a zigzagged pattern scarf that he wears every other frame? Wholesome. Kikuta’s seriousness goes well with Ariko’s softness and his unresolved inner conflict. Overall absolutely fantastic, ten out of ten, TREASURE for pinning, fluff, friends-to-lovers or something like that.
↪️ TSURUMI AND TSUKISHIMA/KOITO AND TSUKISHIMA
I decided to put these two together since they seem like two sides of the same coin. On one hand, you have an established relationship of an exquisite manipulator that has an inhuman influence on Tsukishima both on a personal and on a professional level and a poor tired man that has no faith in the future. On the other hand, you have a cheerful optimistic youngling constantly bothering his Sergeant trying to awaken in him at least some kind of positive emotion. You see where I’m going with it? You can go for heavy angst and emotional hurt all the way to comfort and cuteness. Good stuff.
  ↪️ IENAGA AND USHIYAMA
There’s not much to say about those two. I just like them and am bitter about how there are little to none art pieces and writings on almost-canon pairing. Shame, shame.
  ↪️ BOUTAROU AND SHIRAISHI
No idea why but, I think, they could have some potential if there were more interactions in manga and, maybe, more of their background is revealed? Bros being dudes but more saucy and spicy.
 + BONUS
Ogata and multisystemic psychotherapy! Ah, yes, keep dreaming, keep dreaming…

"The Man in Black s1-3"
THE MAN IN BLACK – YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH FEAR FEBRUARY 5, 2017 GREYDOGTALES 1 COMMENT
Have you met the Man in Black? Has he whispered to you on the airwaves? Your radio is dead, and yet his voice is still there inside you, entreating you to join him… Yes, our Voice of Horror series is back, with a hero of the genre!
Long before Johnny Cash, the Tommy Lee Jones films or even Westworld, there was a single man who embodied the concept of the forbidding stranger, the archivist of the dark – the Man in Black. Can you recall his name, or remember his sepulchral tones? No? Then we shall help. Treats are in store, including some links to where you can listen to, or watch, him in action.
Along the way we bump into Shirley Jackson, Hammer Horror, GK Chesterton, Edgar Allan Poe, Dr Who, Sid James of Carry On fame and S T Joshi, amongst others. Is that enough names yet? For today’s article we must take you back to the days when you made radio shows by rubbing two sticks together, so a few reminders may be in order.
Dyall M for Murder
Valentine Dyall (1908-1985) was the true Man in Black, and it came about because of the BBC. In the 1940s and 50s, they aired a wonderful radio series called Appointment with Fear. This was a series of dramatised horror stories which both drew on the classics and also invited new stories from contemporary writers. Each started with an introduction from the narrator, the Man in Black, either teasing the listener about the nature of the tale to come, or warning them of the terror that awaited them.
Each show was about half an hour long. When Dyall started speaking, you knew you were in the right place. His voice was dark and distinctive (some called him the British Vincent Price), and he had a resonance which just oozed menace. Occasionally the actual story was less interesting than his narration. Between 1943 and 1955 he introduced nine series of terrifying tales, with one more series being narrated by his father, Franklin Dyall. He also narrated a single series of the Man in Black in 1949.
Before we say more about Appointment with Fear, we should mention Dyall’s wider horror credentials. He had a number of parts in film and TV over the years, in addition to his radio work, and his career was packed with the sort of media trivia that we so love.
For our younger listeners, Dyall played the Black Guardian in Dr Who between 1979 and 1983.
“The Black Guardian is an anthropomorphic personification of the forces of entropy and chaos, the counterpart of the White Guardian, a personification of order. The two Guardians balance out the forces in the universe, although the Black Guardian seems to desire to upset the balance in favour of chaos and evil while the White Guardian prefers to maintain the status quo.” (Wiki)
He took the lead role in individual episodes and in three linked serials, which some call the Black Guardian trilogy, playing opposite Peter Davison as the Doctor.
Well Hammered
We mentioned Dyall’s memorable voice, and in Hammer Horror’s film Lust for a Vampire (1971), the character Count Karnstein, played by Mike Raven, was dubbed by Valentine Dyall. He also appeared as the caretaker Mr Dudley in the outstanding 1963 film version of Shirley Jackson’s novel The Haunting of Hill House. Sometimes just known as The Haunting, this is by far the best adaptation, and still sends shivers up the spine.
Going further back, he played a key part, Jethro Keane, in the wonderful City of the Dead (1960). The film was known as Horror Hotel in the States, and is the tale of a young student who seeks information on witchcraft for her college studies. What could possibly go wrong when she travels alone to a mist-shrouded New England village to ask if there are any witches about? Especially when your professor is an intense Christopher Lee, and the man who gets into your car is Valentine Dyall? The usual hilarity ensues…
Two film oddities in Dyall’s career remain worth noting. The first is the attempt to transfer the Man in Black idea to film, again by Hammer. The Man in Black (1949) was a British thriller film which starred Sid James. Adapted from Appointment with Fear, Dyall provided the introduction to the film, as “The Story-Teller”. Sid James, who rose to fame in the British Carry On films, plays a straight role for once, with none of his yuck-yuck dirty laughter. It received mixed reviews, but is worth a look.
His other role, which links to our interest in detectives and will lead us back to the radio, was as Dr Morelle in Dr Morelle: The case of the Missing Heiress. This was another Hammer Film, and was based on the popular long running BBC radio series written by Ernest Dudley.
Ernest Dudley (1908-2006) wrote many tales of Morelle, a psychiatrist with an interest in criminology. In the radio series, the part of Dr Morelle was taken by the silky-voiced Cecil Parker, a stalwart of British period films. It’s well worth seeking out the old-time radio recordings of A Case for Dr Morelle, as the sleuthing doctor is incredibly annoying and condescending to his secretary, Miss Frayne. They’re greatly enjoyable in a sort of ‘God, I want to slap this man’ sort of way (and for some unlikely, if not implausible, deductions).
Appointment with Fear
So we’re glued to our radios again, and Appointment with Fear. See, we know where we are – sort of. John Dickson Carr, the prolific mystery writer, was responsible for a number of the original stories and for many of the adaptations of classic tales. Given the number of series, we won’t list them all, but here are some of the adaptations which Dyall introduced:
The Pit and the Pendulum – Edgar Allan Poe
The Cask of Amontillado – Edgar Allan Poe
A Watcher by the Dead – Ambrose Bierce
The Middle Toe Of The Right Foot – Ambrose Bierce
The Monkey’s Paw – W W Jacobs
Oh Whistle And I’ll Come To You, My Lad – M R James
The Beast with Five Fingers – W F Harvey
Markheim – Robert Louis Stevenson
The Hands of Nekamen – Kathleen Hyatt
The Yellow Wallpaper – Charlotte Parkins Gilman
Mrs Amworth – E F Benson
John Dickson Carr (1906-1977) was an American, and yet his detective and mystery stories were predominantly English tales, perhaps due to his English wife and the time he spent there in the thirties and forties.
He was the creator of Dr Gideon Fell, a larger-than life investigator modelled on the author G K Chesterton. Fell is a great figure, an eccentric, corpulent cape-flapping fellow – an amateur sleuth who sees through the mistakes of the authorities. He too was made into a radio series, this time played by another classic British actor, Donald Sinden.
Carr and Dr Fell probably deserve their own article on greydogtales, so we’ll keep this short. There were 23 Dr Fell novels, and Carr wrote many other detective mysteries besides. He also wrote an authorised biography of Arthur Conan Doyle (1949), and with Doyle’s youngest son, Adrian, wrote Sherlock Holmes stories for the collection The Exploits of Sherlock Holmes (1954). Whilst musing on this, we were surprised to find that S T Joshi, a major figure in weird fiction criticism and a Lovecraftian scholar, produced a book-length critical study of Carr, John Dickson Carr: A Critical Study (1990).
Most of the recordings of Appointment with Fear have been lost, but one of the few surviving episodes is an original Carr tale, The Clock Strikes Eight, originally aired 05/18/1944.
Another example is And the Deep Shuddered, written by Monckton Hoffe, an Irish screenwriter, and aired 20/11/45, which can also be found on Youtube.
The Rest of the Man in Black
After Dyall, others took on the voice of the Man in Black. Revived as Fear on Four, the concept ran for five series on BBC Radio 4 (1988-1992), with Edward DeSouza in the key role. A fifth series was broadcast in 1997, but with no Man in Black.
The most recent revival was with Mark Gatiss reprising the role. There were four radio series featuring Gatiss between 2009 and 2011. Whilst not as sepulchral as Dyall, it’s fair to say that Gatiss does have the ability to make ordinary things sound quite unnerving, so he wasn’t a bad choice. We covered Gatiss’ recent audio version of Dracula here last year:
Come Freely, Go Safely: Dracula Returns, Scott Handcock Rules!
Although we must have missed it, apparently The Return of the Man In Black was broadcast by Radio 4 as two Archive Hour specials in October 1998. The documentaries were presented by the acclaimed horror writer Ramsey Campbell, and covered the history of fear and suspense on BBC radio. During the programmes, two complete episodes were presented: The Pit and the Pendulum (from Appointment With Fear) and The Beast With Five Fingers (from Fear On 4).
Buried under names and trivia, we leave you with Valentine Dyall, and his reading of The Pit and the Pendulum.
Sleep well…
wish i could listen

Lineup Lamentations - GW10
Our Transfers, Captains, and Starting 11s for the week!
FRIDAY DEADLINE!!!
And if you missed it for subscribers Friday (Thursday) My Life episode came out yesterday !
WALSH
TRANSFERS:
OUT: Otamendi and Saka
IN: Kelly and Hudson-Odoi
After talking myself around in circles on the My Life pod yesterday I decided to return from whence I came going with my initial feels for transfers.
Otamendi is obviously diabolical and is not a man to be trusted as if he ever was. Schtoneyboy off the bench as first CB sub this weekend was telling for me, and even with Rodri ded for a bit it leaves us no more sure of the CB situation there than we had before.
Saka is a good lad and he seems like a really nice human bean but after blanking for fun I am discarding him like a used something or other.
In comes one of my all time favorites Martin Kelly and new little baby child CHO.
Kelly I think might just have the CB job from now on next to Mom as first choice pairing - he's actually been good this year somehow. I also don't really need him/the spot at all for the near term. Seemed like the best least painful way to pry some money out of the couch cushions and make a significant upgrade in the xi all the while.
CHO seems like just a good pick at 6m. Couldn't find the final ball against Ayax midweek but he's got a lot about him and he seems like he could be a good long term pick. I am worried about him starting this weekend after rattling off back to back 90s, but if I did something more passive and waited I would have been priced out. Getting him ahead of Turf Moor also feels a bit poopy, but again, keeping my eye on the long term like I have been doing his season with transfers so far and it's been feeling good to me.
GK:
Pope (CHE)
Pope in a bad fixture even tho they've been great at home so far.
Not expecting much here...and if I'm honest 3 cleans through 9 is about the minimum of what I would have expected out of them to date. I'll take it...but I'm not thrilled about it.
DEF:
Alexander-Arnold & Robertson (TOT)
Trent and Robbo remain like the faithful servants they are.
Tough fixture against the potatoheads on Sunday but the OOP boys can always pop up with points any given weekend.
Love them and one of my greatest successes this season has been to hold both from GW1. With Alisson back I suspect everyone will be trying to get both in very soon with their fixtures turning.
Lundstram (whu)
Pointstram gets in there as my third lad. Fucking legend god Lundcuck just such a good guy. Pretty unreal how he's been going this season so far. And they said we wouldn't have a 1b in the game this season.
MID:
Salah (TOT) and Sterling and De Bruyne (AVL)
Mo Raz and Kevin the three amigos go again. Not much to say about dem boyz. Good picks solid pillars in my squad straight down the spine.
City team sheet always a bit of a mindfuck but meh. Can't drop points in the league so hoping for actual first choice even though I'm sure we'll get Bilv Jezuz Mahrez up top. Life.
As shouted a lot on the My Life pod Mo could be in for a big weekend. He's never been more of a diff than he is right now so a haul would be most welcome. Go on Mo.
Hudson-Odoi and Mount (bur)
Rounding out the midfield is new friend CHO and his possible actual IRL friend Mount. Couple Chelsea guys in mid feels great.
Have had Mount for a bit and adding CHO oozes value to me. Buying players who are priced like they are on a 14th place team but they are covert on the 3rd best team with the 3rd best attack in the league seems good.
Again, not expecting a ton this weekend but looking at the medium term points should flow.
FWD:
Pukki (MUN)
Still holding / clinging to Pukki. Was close to going down to Neil who I do love immensely but it just didn't seem like a great use of the transfer. I still believe in Pukki and I think he's just a quality guy.
Four blanks on the bounce have been a tough pill to swallow no doubt but I still think he'll get points. Stats have been down compared to the opening few games when he was on fire, but his stats aren't horrible by any stretch. Anyway, I'm holding him. Fucking come on you Finn fuck.
Abraham (bur)
Treble on Chelsea attack with Tammy is the last piece of my puzzle.
Up against two really bad shitty CBs this weekend I actually think Tam could do some things. Feel like his movement will be too much for them to deal with it will just come down to if he is able to finish.
CAP:
Sterling (AVL)
I just couldn't keep the sadist in me quiet and I've done the thing of end of week cap twist onto Raz.
I did that gut check - if Raz fired this weekend and I had cap on Kev I would be completely despondent and probably would be crying actual tears. I don't want that. If Kevin fires and I have cap Raz I wouldn't feel the same things. Emotional and pain management in...
If that isn't the right way to pick cap and guide me then I don't know what is. I did genuinely spend a couple of hours contemplating Mo for cap but in the end it just seemed too insane. That's that. Raz you fuckboi score some goals this weekend you owe me.
ALON
TRANSFERS:
OUT: Cantwell
IN: Hudson-Odoi
I had to listen back to wtf we talked about on Friday My Life episode because I legitimately couldn’t remember what conclusion we came to regarding my moves... The temptation to take a hit for a triple move of Aubz/Gunn/Cantwell out is soooo fucking real but it is probably better to just hold my horses one more week and go into next week with two frees while fixing a big problem in my fourth mid slot.
Enter CHO who could sneaky just be a really great assist/BAP machine guy.
Floating the other transfer to deal with probably Gunn and Aubz next week.
Just hoping CHO starts this weekend...
GK:
Gunn (LEI)
This just makes me sad.
Leicester don’t even shoot in bulk so there’s not even that save-point potential in this. It’s just gonna be another 0-2 pointer as per usual.
DEF:
Just noticing now that all my defenders are away this week which I fucking hate and is really bad.
Lundstram (whu)
Lundy is such a good boy. This fixture isn’t terrific but it’s cleanable and SHU have been a well drilled and well coached tight ship you gotta just back’em.
Tomori (bur)
Chelsea I do not expect to keep a clean here with Burnley now just good at attacking. Feel like this could be a high-scoring one if Tammy/Wood finish their chances.
Rudiger back soon and hopefully Kante back soon will make this team much tighter.
Söyüncü (sou)
I feel worried about Leicester defense...
They were reeeally tight and putting up fantastic numbers when they were in their conservative shell formation but I’m worried that Brodge is not getting the balance right in the “more open and attacking” formations and styles that they’re playing now in the good fixtures...
It’s a delicate balance to go from extreme to extreme and honestly it might not be possible (and maybe that’s why none of the top managers in the world really do that).
We’ll see.
MID:
Salah (TOT)
He’s gonna shred these.
Sterling and De Bruyne (AVL)
They’re gonna shred these.
Hudson-Odoi (bur)
Mainly just praying he starts and then take it from there... This is the type of match where he’ll need to be the main creator mainly by taking people on constantly maybe drawing PEN15s and everything. Gonna be great come on Frank don’t fuck around get the boy in there.
FWD:
Aubameyang (CRY)
Ugh. Fucking ugh. Back to back seasons I trust Gilligan on his nightmare Arsenal Island and he fucks me.
I’m expecting maybe 2 shots and another blank? Anything better then that is just a cherry on top. Won’t even be happy if he hauls I honestly will not.
Abraham (bur)
Tammy is excellent. Keep it up Tamela.
Pukki (MUN)
This is a disaster? Or this is fine dog in the house on fire? Or this is actually fine and Pukki is just good going through a dry spell? Don’t know. The returns are always darkest before the dongs as they say.
CAP:
Sterling (AVL)
Sticking with my initial read and gut of the situation when I put the armband on him on like Sunday.
Villa love conceding chances from the right, Fred Gilbert can’t defend, I’m just rolling with the player in crazy red-hot form and looking extremely good on eye-test too.
It seems good to do when all of the things that we look for all line up to just not overthink it and go for it. Fuck it. Come on Raz.
RANDOM SLACKER OF THE WEEK: DESERTBUG
The words of Random Slacker are not officially endorsed by this website nor any employees of FML FPL LLC.
TRANSFERS:
OUT: N/A
IN: N/A
Perfectly fine week to do this sneak preview thing because it's early in the season and the other Slackers who are in my minileague (three of them) are either likely to miss out on an early Friday deadline or they've been so absent from Slack lately that they won't even notice I did this.
Anyway, I don't care if they know what I'm doing this week because I'm not doing anything.  The team is in decent shape to roll out eleven this week in an old-school 4-4-2 as I had already ripped the Bandaid off of the lesions named Otamendi, Puke-y and Haller who had been in my team.
They've all been shipped off to Gunga Galunga Land over the prior weeks and I'm a happier lad for having done it.  I've still got qualms over Little Toddy Cantwell and a few other niggly little issues, but I'm in a good spot to sit tight and get more info from another week's worth of EPL action.
GK:
Pope (CHE)
The Bishop of Rome, Vicar of Jesus Christ, Successor of the Prince of the Apostles, Supreme Pontiff of the Universal Church, Primate of Italy, Archbishop and Metropolitan of the Roman Province, Sovereign of the Vatican City State and Servant of the servants of God (or so Wikipedia says) gets to go this week and every week, because his backup plays for Swansea City.
With that many names, it seems like the whole lot of them should clog up the goalmouth and keep clean against Chelsea, or at least so I can hope.  Saves points at least?
DEF:
Alexander-Arnold (TOT)
Here's hoping that Trento recovers from his Ebola or whatever kind of virus he got yellow-flagged over.  Would be really nice if these clubs could get their players to mix in a little bit of hand-washing in their daily routines.  Could see some nice points from the lad if Spurs' recent ineptitudes continue.
Tomori (bur)
Auto-start given my other options, and could be a dud, because Burnley has managed their way into a goal or more in eight of their first nine matches (only Pool has kept them out so far), but that kind of worm-eating magic has to come to an end sometime.
Soyuncu (sot)
Umlaut-master goes in another match that doesn't exactly feel great, as Soton has only been kept out once this season, but Foxes are good and maybe this will be the GW that he puts his giant cranium on a floater and buries it for me.
Lundstram (whu)
Yup, another road start from my defenders, which feels bad, cuz Hammers could totally put it together at any time and leave me with a one-pointer, or they could continue to disappoint and Points-Lord Lundy of Stram could produce the goods again.
Definitely worth rolling the dice and I don't really have any other good options so there you go.  I'm certainly not going to put Fred Guilbert from Iowa into the lineup for his match at City.
MID:
Salah (TOT), Sterling and DeBruyne (AVL)
This has got to be the week that this trio of big hitters starts hitting big with their big whatevers.  RIght?  RIght?
Yeah, Pep-Roulette can always strike but whatever, I'm not gonna lose even a moment of time worrying about it.  Time to "Laissez les bons temps rouler", as they say down in the Big Easy.  Beignets and coffee would be an awesome accompaniment to the 0430 wake-up I'll have for the City match, but I doubt anybody is going to be fetching them for me.  Pout.
Mount (bur)
Picks himself, given my options, but if anybody's going to mess up my keeper clean, let it be Fat Frank's chosen one.
FWD:
Aubameyang (CRY)
Everybody agonizing over him because they brought him in just in time for his two blanks, but I'm just going to focus on his 39 goals and 9 assists in 58 EPL matches, his 9 goals in 14 Europa matches as a Gooner, (57 returns in 72 matches overall, btw), and his prior 112 returns in 127 matches with Dortmund and remember that he's just an absolute top-drawer striker.
Bring on the AubameDancing!
Ayew (ars)
Brother of Andre gets the nod in my eleventh slot because Arse gonna Arse, and they've conceded in seven of nine matches so far.
I like his chances of doing something better than the probable three point ceiling that I would get from trotting Todd out there against a desperate United side that has a quality defense.
CAP:
DeBruyne (AVL)
Yup, I saw RazzyMan put three past the Atalantans on Tuesday with assists on the other two Citeh goals, and that would be a cap haul of 26x2=52 if he did that in an EPL outing, but my nickel says he doesn't do that in back-to-back outings and I like a Kev who should have hauled last week and who only went 60 minutes in that Champs League match midweek.
C'mon Kev, do this for me!  Lead the lads to a century score!  The FPL drought of GW8-9 has to come to an end at some point, right?

Note
Best story would be imo there are multiple GKs and MOST were always just using the lore/other people’s obsession as a distraction and were never connected. Hiram for sure via Tall Boy and the gang was just using it. He probably found out about the fact some people were/had been playing the game since forever and thought it was funny to use.
It would be a brilliant twist if the SoQM were doing the same and using the GK was recent. Maybe started there years ago under different management, Woodhouse stopped it but brought it back in last few months as a cover for real activities (using SoQM for smuggling ir money laundering or just covering the conversion school post Cheryl’s escape). She knew if found out everyone could be lead to assume she’s another GK pawn and so miss her exit plan, there was a nun missing from the suicide circle.
So you have a lot if fake GK’s just using it as a cover individually- which multiples all help everyone else- but meanwhile you have a few true believers (Kurtz) who go crazy only adding to the lore and the “real” one(s) gets pissed. Hal could have easily been the original GK obsessed with Alice/being left out and then went dormant as he got what he wanted. Not real as in original creator of the game but first to use the game in that way. I totally buy Hal as showing interest in Alice for years and pretending to be a nice guy (maybe even stood up for her when others didn’t initially) which is why she turned to him, thought he was a safe bet. Now that Hal’s totally lost it, I could see him pissed someone else using his game.
But I still don’t think he was at the HS. That will all have been more fakes using it to manipulate Betty. Hal will show up to “rescue” Betty but then also still show he’s crazy, wants her to murder, and was the “original” GK. So he “cares” about Betty but still only as his legacy, wanting her to murder. That will force her to finally close the door on him (and hopefully face why she was playing along. Alice being nuts is still not good enough a reason for Betty to turn to Hal who tortured her, her fam/friends and entire town, wtf people talk about Hal as good dad, no, he wants her to kill! Betty needs to own her damage as much as anyone else).
The problem is there is a lot to work with and a few good satisfying avenues but they don’t have the time. It’s going to be a horribly underdeveloped ending for surprise.
I'm thinking that Hal or Gladys was the Ascension Night GK. Considering the emphasis on Teen Falice in 3x05, I'm thinking the old GK wanted to break them up. We saw Preppy Alice flirt with Young Hal while still trying not to make eyes at Serpent FP in the halls. My guess is that she knew Hal had a thing for her even when she was dating FP and that's why she picked him to be her ticket out of the Southside. I think she also hoped he'd accept her unborn baby too.
Yeah. I’m leaning toward Hal now. Like idk as a serial killer he liked attention being on the Black hood, so him dressing up as the big bad monster from the game everyone except him was playing..it was a way to give himself attention, and be involved with it somehow. Which is what is happening presently. He wants the attention on him again. He didn’t want to be left out of the chaos. The Black Hood wanted to come back because all the attention was on the Gargoyle King.

fuckyeahrichardiii replied to your post “If I get through this paper without writing the phrase ‘fanon Gawain...”
Which fanon Gawain and which canon Gawain?
I’m talking a lot about how the text metatextually is playing with both the idea of Arthurian intertextuality and audience expectation (which is always disappointed) so
omg I’m cutting this bc lots of blather about my conference talk
'What, is þis Arthures hous,' quoþ þe haþel þenne,'/Þat al þe rous rennes of þurȝ ryalmes so mony?/ Where is now your sourquydrye and your conquestes,/Your gryndellayk and your greme, and your grete wordes?/Now is þe reuel and þe renoun of þe Rounde Table/Ouerwalt wyth a worde of on wyȝes speche,/For al dares for drede withoute dynt schewed!'
and Lady B’s repeated claims that Gawain can’t be Gawain bc he isn’t acting like the romances she has read say he will (and then her coaching/scripting him how to comply both with her audience/fan desires/’canon’ expectations) are a case of the poem metatextually referencing the Arthurian canon and audience expectations, which it also is a) setting up in the bombastic opening (invoking the trojan epic foundation of Britain, citing Britain as the place with most warlike men and most wonders, naming Arthur’s court as the apex of Britain and then this as one of the adventures accounted an ‘outrage’ amongst all of the rest of their adventures--only to refuse any of that in favor of Gawain not acting like the Gawain a 14thc audience would expect, instead, not fighting until he really had to, not really fighting at all, cowering in bed to avoid having sex for 3 days, and then being kind of a git about the whole thing.
So when the GK and Lady B both express disappointment in Gawain for not living up to the Gawain collectively created through the romances lady B reads and the stories spread about the court (which the court itself both consumes and proliferates in the first fitt) what they are essentially doing is complaining that Gawain is OOC, and their complaints are set up to mirror the audience’s anticipated disappointment on multiple levels.
At the same time, the text establishes that Arthur’s court benefits from and is dependent upon the proliferation of those stories (Arthur, after all, requires a tale of adventure or an adventure before he’ll eat). As a social reality, “Gawain” the social construct created through all of these narratives (and of course, this text is aware that it is part of this, naming its own place as in the first age of the court) is in many ways more real/important/valid than “Gawain” the individual--or at least, “Gawain” the social construct is whatever the public says he is, which is why both he and Arthur know to ask how high when they are challenged as to their identities-because what is in effect being asked is not are you really X person, or even do you deserve your reputation, but will you live up to my expectations/desires? (this then, will determine what stories will then be passed on, and constitute the newest iteration of their identities). At that point, the questioner becomes coauthor as well as critic of the character/court because of the communally-created nature of identity/reputation through narrative consensus, and the need of the individual (Arthur or Gawain) to live up to the expectations of the other, and thus, to be scripted by them.
I’m arguing that Gawain’s antifeminist diatribe is an attempt to marginalize women from the authority that grants them status to share in that consensus, much in the same way that modern comic book creators like Slott attempt to marginalize critics of racist or sexist content by arguing that they’re not ‘real’ comic fans or hosts like Graham Norton attempt to get actors or other creators to repudiate or disavow fan creators, figured, rightly or wrongly, as female. In each case, the rhetorical move is simultaneously a coalition-building based on marginalizing and excluding women defined as perverse and unqualified to be either critics or creators.
Blah blah, there’s going to be a fair amount of media studies and fandom studies up in there and then I’m going to attempt to say moderately engaging things about SGGK.

An interview with Gil Kenan & Vice Cooler, directors of The Smell Virtual Reality Tour
Gil Kenan & Vice Cooler Interview
January 2017
Conducted on the occasion of the premiere of the Smell VR movie
at 356 S Mission Road January 11th, 2017
Chloe Ginnegar: I think to begin it would be great if you could explain why you chose The Smell as the setting for your VR movie and not another venue (DIY or otherwise) here in Los Angeles?
Vice Cooler: I have been involved with The Smell through playing shows and volunteering for a majority of my life.  Like most of my peers, this space has had a tremendous impact in helping develop creative and social skills within an encouraging environment. I have had so many great experiences at The Smell, both as a performer and as an audience member.
When The Smell was served a demolition notice last summer, I went downtown with David Scott Stone to help Jim (Smith, owner) out. Myself and David were both looking at the structure wondering what will happen next. He mentioned that I should make a virtual reality documentation of the building for preservation purposes. This was a great idea since the building itself holds thousands of memories for so many people. We started discussing some ideas about how to go about this project. I went home and thought really hard about it. I reached out to a good friend who also has roots at The Smell - Gil Kenan. Gil is a very talented director and we share similar aesthetics. I thought this would be a fun project to collaborate on, and luckily he agreed. Gil brought in a ton of brilliant ideas. He was instrumental in developing it into what it became and bringing in the VR production house Butcher Bird. I learned a lot from him and enjoyed making it.
CG: I have to confess that I am not very familiar with the production surrounding VR movies. However, given each of your varied histories in film production and direction it seems that there would be no better place to experiment with the fusing of VR and musical performances then at the Smell. Could you explain how you first started thinking about which bands and musicians would be best suited to this movie? Did their participation change your initial plans?
VC: The goal from the start was to have it represent different pockets of people who have made The Smell what it is. We had multiple generations of volunteers, audience members, and performers.
Gil and I really respect the space and wanted to do it justice. Hopefully this experience can convey what a night at The Smell actually feels like.
Gil Kenan: Creating an architectural tour would have only given a small part of the picture of the Smell. You simply can't separate the space from the bands from the audience. It's the relationship between the three that's made the Smell such a vital part of LA music history.
Having bands play was hard wired into the concept. The bands that played came together very organically - It was important to us that the bands represented a spectrum of musical forms and were mindful of having legacy acts share the screen with bands that are freshly formed. The cool thing about the Smell is that it's a common ground for underground music, and so it was our task to represent that on screen. Vice and Jim worked quickly to assemble an incredible lineup.
CG: Was the Smell video each of your first interactions with filming in 360º?
VC: I had never worked in this format. It was a welcomed challenge learning how to shoot where you have to imagine all angles being viewable while not having the luxury of proper monitoring or a place to hide out of view.
GK: I've been curious about the medium for a long time, but had never created anything in it before the Smell VR piece. My first experience with the technology was in a mall kiosk in the mid-90's. It cost $5 to float on a virtual grid with a CG marble hovering in space.
CG: The Smell is run so well due to its steadfast DIY ethics and strong community support. When you were thinking about the narrative of the video what were the important elements of being physically in the space that you wanted to convey to the viewer/concert goer?
VC: Gil and I desired for it to be legit. We wondered if the lighting rigs being shown in the video would be a problem since they weren’t a part of the space, but we came to the conclusion that it was ok. We weren’t trying to make a perfect video - we were trying to capture what the venue brings out in musicians and their audience. When musicians perform at The Smell they are working creatively and as efficiently as they can without any frills - and the sound that is produced is energetic and unpolished. The venue itself has no proper lighting, sounds raw, and is dusty.  However those things don’t matter when the most amazing band is playing the best set you’ve ever seen. Hence we felt very confident keeping any flaws in the final edit.
Additionally Gil had the brilliant idea of not having any professional camera operators and to instead have people in the crowd with absolutely no experience be the ones to move it around. I think that perfectly captures the punk ethics that the venue holds- anyone can become a creator.
As a testament to The Smell’s volunteer system, this entire film was done by professionals donating their time and talents.
CG: 2016 was a tough year for DIY spaces in Los Angeles and beyond. When I learned about your movie it struck me as a pretty radical tool of preservation. The technology used to create this movie opens the door for future generations, people maybe not even born yet, to ‘see’ a show at the Smell. How important was the act of preservation in your interest to make this movie?
VC: This was a huge motivator. It’s very rare that a space like The Smell has existed as long as it has. This is the reason why we included transitions of the rooms from being filled with life and music to being empty and quiet. We wanted to show the transformative power of music along with giving viewers the ability to see the details of how raw of a space The Smell actually is when it’s empty.
GK: when we started making the piece, we had no idea when the doors would close for good or the wrecking ball would swing, so it gave an immediacy to the task. At the outset, the goal was to create a document of a place, a scene, its music and the people who make it happen. It's nice to think that zero gravity children in 500 years will be able to relive a NO AGE concert in a quaint 2017-vintage VR terminal.
CG: The nature/narrative of this movie places a lot of emphasis on the physical structure of The Smell. In the process of working on this project, from pre-production to post, were there any memories or experiences that either of you had forgotten about that you were reminded of?
VC: I have been volunteering or attended a show there for almost every month of my Los Angeles life. The Smell is constantly evolving and I always feel very present when I go there. However, the building structure is over 100 years old and has seen a lot of history so I found out about the removable brick which in its past in the 1920's had hidden codeine bottles!
GK: The physical space is special, but the takeaway for us is that the Smell as a concept is more potent than the walls that contain it. But it's still a trip to see the bathroom and it's graffiti come to electric life with an intimate Dave Scott Stone performance in the round.
CG: What would you like to see as the next steps in immersive music video performances/experiences?
VC: Technology changes rapidly. 5 years ago the Feist and Mastodon HTML5 video that I made was a very radical idea, and the thought of having access to filming something in a real interactive 360 format seemed so distant.
Perhaps in 50 years we’ll be making interactive video simulations of Richard Simmons aggressively ramming a military tank through the wall of The Smell while Jimi Hendrix performs the Star Spangled Banner- and it will FEEL LIKE YOU ARE THERE.
The Smell Virtuality Tour premiere will be held at 356 S Mission Road on Wednesday, January 11th from 7-9 PM. For more information, please click HERE.

PETER CROUCH: Mohamed Salah only makes bench for my team of the season
Peter Crouch is a columnist for Sportsmail
It is the time of year when individual awards are presented and this week's column is a celebration of the players who have produced consistent excellence.
This was not easy. I changed my mind several times before I was able to produce my ultimate XI for the campaign, which has a heavy Liverpool and Manchester City influence and will certainly not struggle for goals!
Apologies in advance to those who did not make the cut.
GOALKEEPER
Alisson Becker, Liverpool
My old club has issues in this department for a long time and lacked high- class consistency since the days of Pepe Reina. There was a lot of pressure on Alisson but he's been so good. I love David de Gea and Ederson but Alisson has had the edge. A clean goalkeeper.
There was a lot of pressure on goalkeeper Alisson Becker but he's so good for Liverpool
DEFENSE
Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Crystal Palace
I noticed Roy Hodgson said he rarely dips below eight out of 10 and that is quite a statement to make about someone who is only 21. I watched him on the opening day when Palace beat Fulham 2-0 and followed him closely, a solid defender who flies forward.
Virgil van Dijk, Liverpool
My Player of the Season. It's weird for a center half to be influential but the transformation that Liverpool have experienced since he has been at the club is incredible. It's like he has had an impact on everyone around him. You can count his mistakes on one hand.
Virgil van Dijk has transformed Liverpool's defense and is a Player of the Season contender
Aymeric Laporte, Manchester City
There are times when you watch Pep Guardiola's team and think they could play without defenders. In Laporte, though, they have one of the very best. He is not a tough man but he is calm and composed and never panics under pressure. A class act.
Andrew Robertson, Liverpool
He has become someone I just enjoy watching play. He's so energetic, bombing up and down the left, and he's the best in his position in the Premier League. With Liverpool having Trent Alexander-Arnold on the other flank, they are blessed out wide.
Andew Robertson has become someone I just enjoy watching play – he is so energetic
MIDFIELD
Eden Hazard, Chelsea
I devoted last week's column to him and I fear this will be the last time I get to pick him for my team . He made a breathtaking start to the season and Chelsea need to hope they finish in the top four or win the Europa League to ensure he stays at the club.
Eden Hazard made breathtaking start, I fear this will be last time I get to pick him for my team
Christian Eriksen, Tottenham
It has been a hard year for Spurs, with big injuries for Harry Kane and Dele Alli, but the Dane is a reason they have a chance to reach the Champions League final and are still on course to finish in the top four. He has duties responsibility and thrived.
Raheem Sterling, Manchester City
Come and age this year as a player and a man, handling horrible situations at Chelsea and in Montenegro with absolute class. He is now a dead-eyed finisher and arguably England's most important performer. A certainty to win the PFA Young Player award.
FORWARDS
Sadio Mane, Liverpool
He goes under the radar but I saw at first hand in March, when Burnley played at Anfield, how good he is. Strong and quick, a goal scorer and a creator, there is an argument to say hey Jurgen Klopp's most important forward. He is unplayable at times.
Sergio Aguero, Manchester City
Do we appreciate how good he has been over the past eight years? I'm not sure. He is clockwork consistent, whose place in the Premier League's all-time top three is now secure. To be within range of Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney in the 200 club is off the scale.
Son Heung-min, Tottenham
He's one of those forwards who has changed the game; a relentless runner with such brilliance and pace. He can score, too, as he showed at Manchester City on Wednesday. He has stepped up for his team and is a serious player.
Son Heung-min is one of those forwards who has changed the game; a relentless runner
SUBSTITUTES
Ederson (GK), Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harry Kane, Bernardo Silva, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and David Silva.
I felt terrible leaving out Salah, whose form is in the past couple of weeks has gone up a level, and Bernardo Silva in particular but it is not a slight on their efforts. We have been fortunate to witness some amazing football over the past eight months. I look forward to reading your own selections.
Mohamed Salah has recently returned to a solid form for a spot on the bench
Chris the man to see Seagulls safe
Trouble seems to have arrived at Brighton at just the wrong moment of the season and the defeat by Cardiff on Tuesday was worrying.
As manager, Chris Hughton has found himself in the spotlight and he has been long enough to know that bad results bring pressure. Brighton, who lost 5-0 at home to Bournemouth last Saturday, certainly had a bad week.
What I hope, though, is that a bad week does not lead to the club doing something stupid or rash. Chris coached me at Tottenham in the late 1990s and I know he is a man of integrity and class. He works constantly and the work he has done at Brighton has been magnificent.
Chris Hughton has been in football long enough to know that bad results bring pressure
It was only 14 months ago, remember, that he won the Premier League's Manager of the Month award, having steered the club into a position where their first season back in the top flight was a resounding success.
] Brighton are a stable club and people admire them. They just had a trip to the FA Cup semi-finals – something, admittedly, that can lead to people taking their eye off the ball in the league – and this is their best time since the early 1980s.
Every Premier League club outside the top six goes through sequences where one defeat can lead to another and another. Bournemouth had one this season, Burnley had one, so too have Everton, Southampton, Crystal Palace, Leicester and West Ham.
Chris will be hurt by Brighton's form but I also expect to get the results that keep Brighton in the Premier League for another season.
Trouble can disappear as quickly as it arrives . He is the man to make the trouble go away.
Trouble seems to have arrived at Brighton at just the wrong moment of the season
PETER CROUCH – MY WEEK
Who's caught my eye … Matthijs de Ligt
Scored a famous goal for Ajax in Turin and once again showed why he is a big talent for the future. He has a huge reputation and I am surprised that Premier League clubs aren't fighting Barcelona for his signature.
Matthijs de Ligt scored a famous goal for Ajax and showed why he is a talent for the future
Next up for me …
No chance of developing a settled routine about the next couple of weeks as we have games on Monday, Sunday, Friday and Sunday to finish the season. Whatever happened to the tradition or 3pm on Saturday?
What I'm listening to …
Tame Impala are an Australian band I have always liked and you should check out their new tune Patience.
What I've been up to …
Happy to say it's a good week because I was given the all-clear to start working on the grass and, with a bit of luck, I should return to full training next week. Away from football, I went to see Lona – a band I have been giving a big shout to – play a gig on Wednesday.
