@resilientcreativespodcast is a project that began to develop in my mind during the winter of 2019. I was at a new fork in the road with my creativity after having to backtrack and find rediscover my truth. Grief, concussion & doubt circled through my being. I had been in similar states in the past but something was different this time. My relationship with my practice was strong enough to feel a new sense of pleasure while riding through the waves of the decaying process. For the first time I knew I was in a temporary state. I sensed an unnamed process unfolding and I knew I wasn't alone in this process. I began to talk to others who had committed themselves to path of being an artist. I found a few of these tanks🎨 This design was inspired by my work with Waichay Studio in Courtenay BC. After being a student for a few years they asked me to help out with their youth screen printing program two years ago. Having participated in the program since it's pilot stage. I witnessed the studio come to life through its creators exploring possibilities. Sharing my own practice with others as they found their own creative spark was a very rewarding experience. It helped me see that anything is possible with a creative mind set. I day dream of holding space for clients in middle of a secret garden. Where they can have direct contact with the land & participate in making their own medicine. Some with come for a quick visit, some will stay awhile. A place to rest, explore & activate inspiration. At the same time I fully embrace our current urban lifestyle. I can be here & there at the same time as I've always been a dreamer. My Capricorn brain & Pisces heart have been deep in creative process this past year. For over a decade prior I was waiting to magically align to the "right" scenario. After much trial & error. An opportunity to begin writing, researching and implementing a road map presented it's self. With a strong foundation of support. A beginning has been produced and my creative muscle is stronger than ever. I reflect on this last year and see how I could done better. Though the urge to celebrate is more powerful 🔥 I'm grateful to my commitment to the process, my mentors and looking forward to continued growth. Towards a mystery that calls to me.
