I have seen you crying in my dreams

a wailing beauty

an aching soul

crying for what, I wondered,

for those things that you did not dare do

for you countless mistakes

for your soul which you had

sacrificed at the altar of vanity?

You had a lot to say to me, you declared,

but you didn't because

words are more deadly than the knife

and maybe silences along with the eyes

speak volumes

they say more than what thousands of words

spoken or written ever could.

Perhaps life itself is no more but

a collection of unspoken words and

most of us are naught but frightened

little people that dare not see with their

inner eyes and pick the one thing that they

truly want.

We should let silence speak.

We should let it reign if truths are

finally to be told,

if souls from their burdens are to be freed.
