wayched the fl*sh series finale. had no idea what was going on but it was a sweet well earned send off and i'm so happy w*stall*n got their baby n*ra.

.....crying laughing at how lazy and unrealistic the birth scene was though. she really gave birth in a single push without once smudging her full face of makeup or ruining her perfectly done hair and was immediately okay to lounge around her home in tight jeans and insane heels. like they truly did not put a single ounce of effort into that lol.

Day 438 art meditation, Nov 10, “Yellow Blue Brown Blended, Tree Ring Heart Art”

Dear You,

Wow, we sure are good at recreating trauma patterns. Christopher Columbus seems to have been elected again. This country was built on trauma and it’s our stuck habit.

Unless they find out why exactly 10-30 million of registered voters did not vote, what would have been a normal trajectory of cast ballots for democrats AND republicans, and fix the situation; from this point forward I will be referring to that man as Christopher Columbus. My friend pointed out, Christopher Columbus of the 1400’s believed in science and God … 

I would be tempted to boycott all men and join an American version of the South Korean 4B anti-man movement, I already threw my own personal anti-man boycott in my 20’s and I’m at a different stage now. “Othering” never works, and in my case, it would have meant turning my back to Love.  

I do support anti-men movements as a way to raise feminist Awareness as a short term fix. It’s very creative thinking: I remember reading something about a region of African women who withheld sex from their male partners as a way of getting their men not to contribute to a civil war, and it WORKED. Brilliant. I also love that there was humor involved … 

Back when I was in my college years at Goshen, and I brought home a gift, the Australian “All Men Are Bastards” paper address book, my mother informed me a few weeks later that my parents thought I was brainwashed. They were close. But there is a big difference between being brainwashed and finding your own voice, and the key factor is how connected we are to our heart-spaces. 

I had no other way to send a message to our family's patriarchal way of thinking - which was at its best ‘protective’, at its worst ‘loss of the feminine divine’ . They were certainly not going to read Audre Lorde or Adrienne Rich … Or my favorite Marion Zimmer Bradley’s “The Mists of Avalon” - the retold King Arthur myth from Morgan le Fay’s point of view. My middle sister found this book when she was only 14 years old (I think) and loved it so much she handed it to me …  

Of course I read what was expected of me … It’s not that there were or are no good male thinkers, it’s that we are missing the feminine divine. I was recently looking at my father’s (and mother’s) books and many of the themes interest me more now because I care more now about politics, and always art …

Since the time of that delightful Australian “All-men-are-bastards” address-book I have stayed connected with my heart-space, and as much as right now I’d love to go live with the Amazons behind the clear protective bubble in Themyscira, on the Amazon Paradise Isles, without the warrior aspect, I know the only thing that matters is in reality are our Heart-Spaces.  

ALL of our ego-spaces want to win. Ego-spaces want clear answers. Kamala and Tim were a beautiful way, truth & light forward that we understood. That’s what egos want. It would have been wonderful. The gift of having Christopher Columbus forced upon us yet again with his usual wrecking ball, is that we have no choice but to go Inner. (And THEN outer.)

It’s the inner work that we don’t want to do. I mean MORE inner. It’s this idea of layers … To go to a place where new answers arise … It’s always against all odds. 

I have been triggered as hell for the last few days. If I sound okay today, please know that it’s the first day where I feel remotely good again, (found my heart space). It hasn’t been my usual depression, just a total shut down. I couldn’t feel my heart-space for 4 days. Since my personal heart-trauma-healing journey has been to unpack how I allow bullies in my life, or stand to them, and all the safety issues come up, including that now I regret that we left Germany ... 

I had nightmares that my dear friend didn’t vote for Kamala, and in the dream when I asked Kamala about this, Kamala backed up like she couldn’t handle talking about something hard, when of course this is why we LOVE Kamala she can talk about ALL the hard conversations, so insightfully and with love … But in the nightmare she became a small human being …

All human traumas are being evoked now. And the only shred of sympathy I have for people who voted against humanity is that their own unresolved generational traumas continue to repeat … 

I hope people, especially women, start to trust themselves. Use intuition, be honest with yourself. I really hope that the men who get it, keep pushing the men in their world who don’t get it. I personally am no longer interested in trying to educate men. It’s kind of the same impatience black people/POC have with me as a white woman.  

The biggest message I have is : work on ourselves. It’s the biggest power we have. Make art. Be beautiful. Love more. Stay curious. Express yourselves through all arts. There is incredible power in the mirrors we are to each other. 

I adore all the ways G’s heart-space has grown in the last 7 years. Which was also because he was forced to go deeper. He would also never have picked this route. I just know that once G’s gets really out there in the world with his ideas he will be NEEDED, because he gets straight men, and he is so fair and unbiased and dedicated to humanity in a way I’m not. Every other second I want to move to Iceland and just hang out with artists …

This is the thing they don’t tell us about relationships. We want our partner to complete us, we want all the fun stuff, but we (humans) are only now learning about the combination of personal growth and mirror work. My parents' generation didn’t do this, but I have no blame. Every time I have been frustrated with G’s non-movement in life, I had to look at my own non-movement in life. It doesn’t matter if I think of myself as “ahead”, or “better”, there is always something more I can do in my life.

Oprah could buy a Heart Art Brand Bundle from me and write INTO it, find and feel her own voice through Art, instead of tapping into other people’s voices.  (!) I’m just saying. We need to think very differently now.

Build this mirror -idea out across the world, and we change the world. 

But … And … We have new role models now. 

My intention is always to build bridges between the divides that our ego/heart spaces build. (Boxes). One divide is between the Christian household I was raised in, and this female voice - my voice, where I am learning how to stay steady. When I think of all the sermons I’ve heard in my life, which is connecting to my father’s world (and my mother’s), a good sermon always makes us feel a little bit uncomfortable and makes us feel love on a wider level. This is also a huge theme in G and my world of life coaching, and therapy. I hope I created a bridge.

This is not a “finished” writing piece, but my schedule doesn’t allow me to spend more time editing, and besides, imperfect showing up is the whole point, especially this wretched week. Right when bullies tried to shut us down. This is the healing process. Because the thing I can’t forget is that the entire generation of my German Grandparents did not have the courage to stay true to themselves and fight for democracy. Too many people said “it’s enough if I survive”, but that’s not enough anymore, and Americans do their own version of “it’s enough if I am okay”. It’s not enough. We have to be different. 

We already are, by light years.

More than anything I believe in ART, because Art is Joy, and art creates Feelings, and the movement of feelings. And that just creates more light.

As I write, a friend sent me these words, “Imagination has always had powers of resurrection that no science can match”, by Ingrid Bengis. Which sums it up exactly. (thank you for introducing me to this writer.)
