October is mental health awareness month, and I've seen a lot about suicide prevention and mostly a lot of general information about neurodivergency, depression, ADHD, and "the big stuff", but I don't see a lot of what mental health looks like day to day on a personal level, so I thought I would share some things I do for my mental health.

The biggest thing for me is my faith. I have spiritual disciplines I do each day, and if anyone has questions about that, I will be happy to answer them, but my faith is more than checking to do boxes.

For example, a really important relationship to me is on hold right now while he makes decisions about his life, and that is really hard for me. It is hard to imagine my life without him, and fall is a season we have celebrated together. We both love the weather. We love the botanical changes. He laughs because I love bur oak acorns, which are huge. But this autumn, I don't have anyone to send this pictures to. I don't have anyone to share my "official hoodie weather" picture with. I don't know if we will find a way through this or not, and right now, it feels like this big hole.

But my faith tells me a big hole, or void, is a place where new things happen and new life can grow.

Genesis 1:1 is one of my favorite verses in the Bible. "In the beginning, God created..." Verse 2 says it was chaotic and dark...a void...but the Spirit of God was in the void, and when He began to speak, pieces of life emerged until life was fully functioning. I find incredible peace in that because I believe that although that verse refers to the beginning of human history, I believe God still creates life in dark, empty places...like where this relationship has been but isn't right now.

And it tells me that even if my person chooses not to be my person, I am not going to go through life with this big empty place. I will find another best friend, and someone else will think acorns are cool and think my funny songs I make up as I walk through crunchy leaves are cute.

My faith doesn't fix the hole, and I am still incredibly sad right now, but my faith tells me to believe there are still good things and to hope for joy because life is still growing, even in this dark spot.

Hope is a powerful mental health medicine.

Abby, she's my oldest Fnaf muse as she was on my og blog so she's the easiest to write and my favorite by default cause how long i've had her.

Vanny is here, I've just not touched her much cause I'm shit at writing bad guys. There was so little of her in game though I just....wanted to take a stab at it for what cannon never gave.

New Sim.

I was just playing around in the sims 4 and made a new character.

Her name is Aurora Borealis, Yes she is named after the northern lights. Might use her in a not so berry challenge we shall see..Planning on making some other unique sims too.

Her Aspiration is Outdoor Enthusiast who loves being outdoors, and currently lives on a lot that is off the grid.
