Jeremiah begins his writings with the story of his call. He lets us know that it was not something he chose or even volunteered to do, but that he was literally born to do it. In fact, God had a plan for his life before he was even conceived in his mother's womb and set him apart before he was born.

It takes many of us quite a while before we uncover our purpose in life. As a youth, Jeremiah's purpose was revealed to him, and he was to start fulfilling it from that day through the rest of his life. God would not let Jeremiah disqualify himself by claiming to be too young. You might say his was the ultimate example of on the job training with God himself being the trainer!

Just as God knew Jeremiah before Jeremiah knew himself, God knew you. You were not a surprise or a mistake to God. He has a plan, even for YOU!

My Note: Fascinating! This character, 𡟵, exists in the extended unicode but has no real dictionary definition that I can find anywhere. The most information I have been able to find on this word in both English and Chinese is that it seems to be pronounced gō in Cantonese (which, as one might expect looking at the word, indicates it would be gē in Mandarin). This seems to suggest that it has usage in Cantonese, but I haven't found any further explanation! The unicode character is part of CJK Unified Ideographs Extension B but as far as I can find, it doesn't have any historical usage in Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Vietnamese or as a variant of any kind.

Double Life is so funny to reflect on

bc at the time it was (given 3L -> LL game mechanics and how each game evolved from the last) clearly intended to help with balancing; assigning random pairs to try to alleviate the skill disparity of his friends. And then we get to see Grian real-time speedrun the 5 Stages of Creator's Grief as he realizes that RNG has somehow striated everyone by skill level

But in retrospect, as a piece of narrative, it is one of the most compelling and enduring seasons to engage with. It resulted in pairs that betrayed deep and fascinating character traits. Without a mechanic literally forcing them together we never would've gotten a season of only pairs; a season where Impulse & Bdubs married via clock, where Cleo & Martyn had so many solo discussions, where Joel & Etho burned together in the end. Their similarities, RNG be damned, were precisely the thing that made the season so fucking good.
