Im going to try to simplify a lot of things here (big word is try). Because there's a lot. We're a traumatic osdd-1b system btw!

However, being a median system varies from person to person. So keep in mind my experiences aren't fact for every median system out there.

1.) Commination & Memory

Commination for us is very limited. We mostly communicate through feelings and emotions. If you will, pure vibes.

I can hear people talk from time to time. If I really focus. Or if the situation calls for it. (Ex. Someone in front is having a hard time. And someone speaks to talk them through it.)

If I do something someone doesn't like I can feel a general vibe which then can easily translate into words. (Think like a language translator). If I fuck up someone's art piece by accident I'm gonna feel that "fuzzy talk" and understand what they're saying.

We don't have massive memory barriers. So it's easy to recall what someone did last. However, we still forget things. Sometimes someone fronts, leaves and a new person fronts. The new person fronting might not recall what they did exactly. But, have a general idea of what was leading up before they switched out.

A really good example for us is Minecraft. Person B played a shit ton, took a break, and switched out. Person A fronted, got on Minecraft and tried to figure out what the fuck they were doing. Oh, they were mining for iron. We call it "Sticky Note Memory" because we didn't completely forget, but we need to do some reading into to remember. Sometimes it's harder for other people.

2.) Fronting & Identity

Fronting isn't what most systems think it is. It isn't a snap and you're no longer fronting. Because we're a median system we never collectively consciously leave the front. We're all here. Currently, I'm just closer to the front. I am aware of my identity. Whether that because I want too or because the brain has decided I'm the favorite guy.

Fronting and switching is more of a flow. I'm slowly melting into someone else. It might take us awhile to figure out hey, I'm someone new. Sometimes we have what are called "Fillers" where there's an in-between. Sometimes people can spawn sometimes it's a temporary thing. However, we're collectively the "same person." Here's a diagram I have of our experience.

Some of us are less distinct than others. Some have more identity. 90% of us are facets. The 10% are fully formed headmates. But, still melt in with us to create our epic system. But, I can't speak for them on their experiences since I'm a facet and they're not. Whether they ID to that term is up to them.

Most of us are copied and pasted but have wildly different appearances and maybe a little something else added to it. I may act like a lotta my headmates because we're the same people. But, also very different at the same time. It's hard to explain.

Think of icecream. Icecream is icecream. It isn't a sandwich. But there are different flavors of icecream! I'm just a different flavor and texture. But still icecream.

But yeah, that's all I can think of at the moment. There's a lot more but I don't want to go overboard on this ask lol. Again, happy to answer any questions and such!!

definitely with communication, like there’s a difference between what i imagine us doing vs what we do lmao. like i’ll want us to agree on something but the others are behind me like “…ehhhhh” my thoughts are often shared with them though, and i only hear them speaking, not thinking

AND THE FRONTING THING!!! i thought “well i’m definitely not a system because there’s no switches and i’m always here to some degree” (except that time the other day when i had a crisis because i didn’t know who i was and then snapped out of it lmao 😂) but the others tend to come and go, most often being at least a little here except for when they’re asleep

we are definitely separate but share consciousness to some degree. there’s a couple fragments that are part of others (like puzzle pieces that complete them), but we all have distinct personalities, appearances, roles etc.

again thank you!!!! like i’ve said i can only say so much for the others’ comfort and our safety, but it really means the world that there’s others out there like us :’]

Ian Visiting Your HomeTown

Ian was thrilled when you asked them to visit your hometown.

they agreed and asked when you planned on going. You would explain to them that Thursday afternoon you will leave and come back by Monday morning in time for Ian to be at Work but Ian didn't tell you they asked magic to come in on Tuesday.

Ian visiting your hometown would be a treat they would admire everything and anything they deem cute like the necklace they spotted and purchased it.

they would snap pictures of everything and take selfies with you it would be silly, romantic, or even cute.

you would take them to your favorite Ice Cream shop and Ian looked at the flavors and smiled "ooh they have cherry icecream" Ian was about to buy it when you stopped them from purchasing anything and simply asked them to give you a large cup with a double scope of your favorite and Ians before paying and walking outside the shop and sat on the little tables outside it.

you both would share the ice cream and feed Ian some of your flavors while they do the same to you. you and Ian Laugh together while walking down another path and would sing softly while walking down the street with you.

you turned towards the forest "well we are taking a shortcut to my parents but I do want to show you my secret place that i use to go to when i felt anxious, or down or needed ideas for something i was doing."

Ian nods "i would love to see it Y/n" you take their hand and run towards it they followed you almost tripping but you pulled them close and kissed them softly. "my falling for me all over again" Ian laughed "it would seem so, yet it also looks like you taking them road by purpose," they said softly before glaring at you playfully.

they reached the secret hideout that was right beside a waterfall and Ian took a moment to take a picture of it along with some selfies with you kissing you softly and the other with you both sticking your tongue out.

then you both head through the bushes and vines entering your secret place, it pretty much had everything that spoke to you growing up in here and Ian loved it looking around at everything you had on the walls and books scattered on a wooden table that seemed to be handcrafted.

"you made this?" you smile sheepishly "yes love I did it's not great but it does get the job done haha"

Ian shakes their head gently "no no no, I really like it actually it suits you even" you laugh and grabbed your scrapbook to show Ian all the little things you did from the age you found this place until a few years ago."

after about an hour spent in there where Ian would help you create a new memory in the scrapbook before leaving to head toward your parent's home.

"I hope you're hungry because my parents both like to overdo it on the cooking" you laughed slightly embarrassed. "oh don't worry I don't mind I'm famished."

Just as you said the food smelled amazing and dinner was almost done, But they were very happy you brought a friend over but you didn't tell them that Ian was your lover yet.

you dropped the bombshell at the dinner table and they both sighed in relief. "that's good I thought you were going to be alone for the rest of your life you were always quiet." your father said laughing

you pout glaring "ah really don't embarrass me now father"

Your mother giggles softly "but you two are a very cute couple and Ian darling you look like that smarty pants"

"M-mom please" you cover your face and Ian smirks "I am Mrs. Y/l/n" she smiled proudly "good I know my baby is in good hands" "they are in very good hands" Ian replied back.

Your father spoke up laughing suddenly "more ways than one I'm sure" Ian almost spits their drink out and blushes lightly.

"come on d-dad please besides I'm not always the-" Ian spoke up quickly "Mrs. y/l/n do you n-need help washing these plates?"

your mother nods "yes sweetie thank you" Ian collected the plates and followed your mother out of the dining room and into the kitchen.

after everyone turned in for the night Ian was hugging you close "well that certainly went well love"

"it did and I'm happy it did because you're the most important person in the world to me"

Ian blushed and kissed your cheek "Well good because i should be the only person" Ian laughed along with you and you both ended up falling asleep in each other's arms.

Project 2 Rationale

Challenge:

For my package series, I am going to design ice cream pints. I am going to create a new brand instead of doing a redesign so I have to come up with a brand name, create a logo, and design the package. There are already a lot of well-known ice cream brands so I have to create something that can catch people's eye among the rest of the big brands like Ben and Jerry’s and Halo Top. I was also considering doing a square container at first but after further research square containers used to be used and consumers preferred the circular containers over the square. I may also have to eat some ice cream to get containers to use, oh no.

Approach:

I plan to make a more illustrative container with lots of fun colors to help it stand out among the other brands. Lots of them also have bright colors but many feature a scoop of icecream showing the flavor and I intend to go for a more illustrative route to show different flavors instead to stand out a bit more and move away from the scoop of icecream front and center of the package.

Outcome:

I’m excited about the project and have some ideas I want to play around with here in the ideation phase. I want to lay around with fun colors but still make it look like an established brand you would find in a grocery store.

Design Brief

Brand Name: Smiley Scoop

Brand Positioning: Fun brand for the family with illustrations for the kids but also great taste for everyone.

Brand Core Values: Great taste, Family Friendly, Good Flavors

Brand Character/ Emotional Attributes: Silly cow illustration and fun colors to show different flavors that catch the consumer's eye.

Description of Product: Circular ice cream container pint-sized. Cow logo on the front with the brand name underneath. Cow’s bangs change color with flavor as well as a drip of flavor the cow is licking around the top. Word mark or illustration on top of the lid of the container. Size info on the front, nutrition facts, and barcode on the back.

Description of Product Line: Different flavors will be featured on the drip of ice cream around the top as well as on the hair tuff of the cow logo.

Marketing Objectives: Market as a fun treat for the whole family to enjoy or for the parents to have on their own.

Packaging Design Communication Objectives: Communicate different flavors well and make clear what the product is selling.

Communication Hierarchy: First show the logo, then flavor, and then nutrition info and other product information.

Target Consumer: Families, kids, and people who enjoy quality and delicious ice cream.

Hi, I don't know if by 'ice' you meant something likes ice-cubes and basically frozen water, or ice-cream per say, so I included both ! I hope that you'll like it nonetheless :)

Ghiaccio with a s/o who loves eating ice/ice cream :

You could think that Ghiaccio appreciates to munch on a few ice cubes once in a while, but that's actually not the case. He mainly uses his stand for missions and practical purposes such as when the weather is too hot, but he never thought of eating ice in a serious way before. The fact that you have this habit is something he doesn't think much of, he's seen people enjoying to eat plenty of 'unconventional' things.

Hence, he will not partake in this with you, but he's happy to help by freezing some water if you ever want to eat some ice. He might get inventive to make you happy, by creating flavored ice-cubes for you.

Ghiaccio will never admit it, but he likes looking at you while you're eating ice. Although the repetitive sounds of crunching may be a pain to his ears, seeing you so in love with this kind of 'dish' is something he likes to witness. He will keep a straight face while doing so, and you might sometimes catch him staring at you as he doesn't really pay attention to look away.

If you are a fan of ice cream, be prepared to taste all kinds that can exist ! Indeed, Ghiaccio himself is a very big fan of that dessert. One thing he'll enjoy is to spend time with you in town at the icecream shop to look at all the flavors. He can't always make up his mind and appreciate your opinions. He likes discussing what kind of texture would make the best ice creams, and what makes an ice cream not that worth it to buy.

An ideal thing he would do is to taste - if the shop proposes that kind of service - various ice creams flavors (he'd be romantic enough to hold the spoon to your mouth if that's alright with you, but do not tease him too much or he could get too flustered to keep doing it). He loves the classic neapolitan ice cream : a block of the three most basic flavors that exist : chocolate, vanilla and strawberry (it's a dessert he often orders when eating at the restaurant with his team). He'll also make you try a few of his favorites : Dulce de Leche, Butter Pecan, Pistachio and, of course, the famous Tutti Frutti.

Ghiaccio will out right refuse if you ever try to make him taste the cheese-flavored one (he doesn't do well with sweet and savory mixes). You two will end up sharing a nice enough ice cream cone, essentially composed of the colour pink (marshmallow, strawberry, cherry), which he appreciates because of the bright colors and effort of decoration put into it. You wouldn't know, but there was a time when he learned a lot about the making of ice cream and especially how to design and presentation evolved throughout the years.

On top of that, if one member of the La Squadra ever goes to the supermarket to get all of everyone's groceries, he always makes sure to ask them to get a new kind of ice cream for you.

You can find a new hobby, and become marveled with what you can create

You can go to trips with your friends and family and create fond memories

You can explode your city, or the world, and see wonders beyond imagination.

The World is still good, despite all the bad that's going on

It's OK to be sad about the bad

It's not OK to give up because of them, you are irreplaceble and your actions will change the world how we know it.

We can rise. We can unite. We can fight.

Dont give up, the fight has just begun.

as if it was his first time in an ice cream parlor, mark stood there like a child, hands spread over the chilled glass awed by the cold blocks in a multitude of hues. you couldn’t help but to smile to yourself, what can you do? mark was so adorable that if it weren’t for a bunch of people, especially kids in this place, you would have pulled him and pepper his face with kisses.

“dude, wow!” mark exclaimed, a hand in his mouth and eyes widened. “i mean baby, this place is so good! look there’s a bunch of flavors we can try, isn’t it exciting?”

“right? people even said that the icecream itself is topnotch, no wonder they were so popular on instagram.”

this place was the talk of the town; as the only biggest and newly built ice cream parlor in your town, the news spread like wildfire. and obviously, as a huge fan of the sweet delicacy you wouldn’t want to be left behind. that is why when you first saw it in one of your friends’ social media posts, you promised yourself there’s nothing in hell that could get in the way of you bringing mark in such pretty place. you knew he would like this, it showed when you both walk in this place and his eyes were brimming with stars.

“is there anything that you like? my treat,” he said giving you a wink. mark, on the other hand, was feeling incredibly happy.

he knows that the weight of being the university publication’s editor-in-chief is taking a toll on you. the amount of papers he sees on your desk whenever he crashes in your place definitely irks him, and he could definitely see the bags in your eyes. in spite of all that, mark is always proud of having such hardworking and loving partner like you are. in his eyes, you were never less beautiful even with dark circles or hair in all places.

“i’ll have whatever you choose, babe.”

moments later, you and mark are now walking on the sidewalk hands clamped together whilst holding the ice cream on the other. it was nearing seven p.m and you’d probably get a scolding from your parents by skipping dinner just to eat ice cream. but the night is so good to just go home early and do loads of stressful work, definitely not when your boyfriend is here giving you the best comfort you need after a long tight school week.

“is it good?” mark asked as he guided the both of you to the nearest bench he found. he’s having his usual cookies and cream flavored ice cream.

“yep,” popping the p. “this is my first time trying neapolitan. all the nearest store here just sells single-flavored ones, it gets boring you know.”

“i know, pretty thing.” mark’s eyes peered at you before clutching on your fingers once again, a small smile making its appearance on his face. “you still manage to bring me there even with your busy schedule, so thank you, baby. i know uni has been rough for you. all the responsibilities were tough, but you know, baby? i’m always here.” he held your hand to his lips, kissing your knuckles.

“i just want you to know that you are doing a great job and i am so proud of you. to have someone like you is such a blessing on my part.”

your lips quirked upwards. from deep inside your chest through every cell of your body, welcomes a warm and fuzzy feeling; perhaps, it’s the gentleness in his voice or his stares that creates a sense of comfort. warmth and safety, mark had those in his eyes whenever you look at him and in that moment you’re certain that: you were home.

“oh, bad. i’m close to finishing mine,” mark exclaimed before bursting into fit of little giggles.

”then, would you be willing to go get another one with me?” you said looking directly into his eyes.

just like your ice cream, your worries are all frozen until a touch warmth melted it into sweetness.

Coffeeshop Au

She-Ra coffeeshop au because I said so:

Everyone works at one of two shops: Hoard or Princess Alliance

At the very beginning, it shows Adora, a normal human, and her friend Catra (everyone looks the same, has the same powers) in the breakroom chatting, and then they switch shifts with Kyle, Rogilio and whatever her name is- I can’t remember-

Yay! You get to meet Shadow Weaver, who is being very rude to the girls because her coffee was too hot (and also because Catra made it and no one is allowed to make her coffee except Adora)

Adora ends up missing a day and gets fired, which is immediately met with distaste from Shadow Weaver

Adora gets a new job at The Princess Alliance

Quickly becomes friends with Glimmer and Bow, but Glimmer’s mom, the owner of the cute shop, is less happy with her, as she looks like a gangster

Catra has mixed feelings about Adora not being at work, as she is now able to get promoted to manager beside Scorpia, but also she doesn’t see Adora like, ever, anymore

Adora’s aunt, Mara, died recently, and LightHope, Mara’s wife, came over to give Adora a charm with the words She-Ra carved in the side.

Adora promises to visit the farm and see LightHope soon

With the knowledge that she has a bit of her mother figure still with her, Adora throws herself into baking, creating her newest pastry: She-Ra

Was named after the charm!

It is the best thing anyone has ever tasted. They sell out quick, and become Adora’s special (All the princess’ have specials, they’re at the bottom of the post)

Aight, so Entrapta misses a couple days, didn’t call in sick, and was fired

Immediately picked up by Hoard and now has a new job! Stuck with Catra and Scorpia until Catra got promoted

Afterwards she met Hordak, and they started talking

and then they started flirting in their cute roundabout way

Hordak had to leave for a few days because Imp needed to go to the hospital, he left Catra in charge (She’s manager anyway, but now she had free reign)

With Double Trouble’s help, Catra made a fake resigning form for Entrapta while firing her

While this is going on, everyone gets word about Prime Restaurant chain wanting to set up in the area. Hordak would like to sell his shop for them, but first he needs to get another place to set up (He only decides this after he comes back, and he needs something to do after learning that someone he thought he had a connection with just left)

Entrapta hasn’t really let it sink in that she’s unemployed. Goes to get a coffee from a starbucks nearby, name and coffee get mixed up with someone named Micah. (Think when she stole his bug)

Start talking, then bow and Adora just speed walk into the shop like, “Hey Entrapta, would you like to be hired for Princess Alliance again?”

(Bow is also kinda like “Hey wtf, is that you, Micah?” And Micah’s like, “Hey, Bow, is that you?”)

And Entrapta’s like, “Hired? Oh, uh sorry, I have to- oh.” and its suddenly sinking in that she doesn’t work at Hoard anymore and (excuse me if this isn’t what would actually happen but it happened not to long ago so I’m just giving it to Entrapta rn) she is kinda just moving around and kinda just trying to get away from anything touching her because it all just feels horrible against her skin and shiz

and she just kinda goes “Yes, I’d like to be hired, but please leave me alone right now, I’d like to not be touched,” and so Bow and Adora kind of hesitantly go away and Micah stays walking her through her (I don’t know what this is. Touch aversion? A mild panic attack? A depressive episode?)

Anyway, cut away, and now we see Adora and Bow sitting on the roof of the cafe. Talking, thinking about life, doing a bit of college homework. Adora is playing with her charm, and then she drops it and it shatters. Obviously, she’s freaking out, that’s the only thing she has of Mara and it means so freaking much to her

Bow is trying to help and is gathering up the shards, and finds a little piece of paper among it all. Adora reads it and completely breaks down crying. No one knows what it says but her (which is to say I don’t know what it says)

Takes a break for a couple days, going to LightHope, her aunt, and

(In this time, Entrapta has reluctantly gone back to work, Micah has procrastinated around seeing his ex-wife and daughter, Angela has packed up for a plane trip, Hordak is having trouble finding another place to set up shop, and Prime restaurant chain is moving in)

Adora comes back with a new fire and an upgrade to her She-ra pastry, tastes even better now

Micah finally got the courage to go see his family, only to find out that Angela had just left for a trip that morning. (They get the news that the plane had an accident and Angela didn’t survive later in the evening)

Afterwards, Glimmer moves out of the cafe, finding it to be too empty. This leaves the top floor of the cafe completely open. She’s living with Bow and Adora now!

Scorpia, a panicking second manager of Hoard cafe, is juggling running the cafe, keeping Catra in check and finding a new place

Double Trouble, as is their job for the owner, finally fills out their form on what had happened while Hordak was away. He finally learns that Entrapta didn’t leave him.

Scorpia goes to the Princess Alliance and tells them that she heard their top floor was open. She’s desperate

It takes a few times to get them to agree, but the Princess Alliance realize that there’s no point in fighting like this. After a few more hours of haggling with the cost, Scorpia turns to leave

She comes back after a couple seconds. “Um, actually, is Entrapta here?”

Scorpia and Entrapta come back into Hoard cafe, chatting. Hordak walks out of the back, holding Imp. Entrapta looks over and sees him. She just jumps him, helping both of them stay up and holding Imp with her hair.

“Did you hear the news?” She laughs

Scorpia jumps in, telling Hordak how they found a place for the shop to go; right above the Princess Alliance. Entrapta is really helping Scorpia sell it, but Catra is getting upset.

“No! We’re enemies or whatever, right? We shouldn’t be sharing space with them!”

Hordak has already given his okay. “I’m sure we’ll be able to become closer, Catra, it should be alright.”

Catra is extremely reluctant about all of this, but while they’re setting up in the top area, she’s beginning to rekindle her friendship with Adora. (And also maybe feeling like at some point her feelings had stopped being just platonic. She has no clue when this happened.)

Scorpia is doing pretty well with taking boxes of stuff up, and after a while they figure out that the dark aesthetic won’t be working well side by side with the pastel fluff that is the Princess Alliance. So Scorpia says they change it up a bit. So she goes downstairs and, “Is anyone free right now?”

It’s Perfuma that looks over. “Oh! Yes, I am!”

Scorpia gives a little smile. “Great! We need some design help and we were wondering..”

With a happy gasp, Perfuma hangs up her apron and walks upstairs. Perfuma is made for this. After being told that they’d like to keep the general dark aesthetic, she says that giving it that certain quiet feel, very unlike the loud chatter that comes from downstairs, students will likely want to come by to study

It’s a hit. A few plants with calming aromas, gifted by Perfuma herself, and some teas that help with stress made by Scorpia, students are running in. It’s generally very quiet here, and it’s really helping the stress that the employees go under too!

Scorpia and Perfuma may or may not have gotten closer in a romantic sense because of this-

Catra and Adora are also getting closer, friends first, then girlfriends. It’s quite the trip for everyone else in the shop.

Entrapta and Hordak are basically just parents to Imp now, and Imp’s only job at this point is to make fun of Hordak for having a crush. It is a romantic relationship, yes

At some point the the Hoard and Princess Alliance become one place with two names. Menu is the same on both floors and anyone can be a waiter at whichever floor they like.

Just a few things that exist but aren’t really plot relevant:

Hordak has anger issues and trouble understanding his feelings

Hordak has weak bones in his arms specifically

Imp is Hordak’s nephew who he ended up adopting after Imp’s parents died

Hordak and Entrapta both like working with robotics

Entrapta is making a project to support Hordak’s weak arms in order to help him do things. Talking with his doctor to figure out what’s safe and such

Frosta is Glimmer’s cousin who has been given the okay to volunteer at the cafe. She comes and goes as she pleases and whether or not you get a Frosta special depends on whether she’s in or not

Time for the specials!

Entrapta’s: Donut holes. Her special is a pack of donut holes that are literally the best you’ve ever tasted. Your pack has one of each flavor and they are made with such care- just- No special drink for her though

Perfuma: Mango hibiscus clementine cold tea. I have had it before. It tastes really freaking good. She always grows a little flower for you to eat and puts it on top. The texture of the flower is nice, and the petals are sweet. The food portion is a fruit salad with flower petals sprinkled on top!

Frosta: Icecream sunday! And slushie! No one knows what exactly goes into the flavoring on top, but it tastes really good and Frosta promises it’s safe for all allergies she knows of. Makes sure to ask about any allergies though, just in case!

Mermista: It’s a small cake. Has this general water/beach vibe! Drink changes from day to day. Always an iced coffee though!

Glimmer: Cupcakes!! The inside of the cupcake has a small portion of sprinkles. Very sweet, too sweet for some. Pastel smoothie too! Family recipe, shared between Angela and Glimmer. Has sprinkles littered on top of a nice helping of whipped cream! Very glittery

Angela: Called the heart of Etheria. Not one single person knows what it’s classified as, and only Glimmer and Angela know how to make it. It’s heavenly

No more specials (Scorpia doesn’t work at Princess Alliance)

Micah and Angela had a divorce when Glimmer was young. It wasn’t because they disliked each other or anything, just, Micah learned that he was aromantic and felt a little bit uncomfortable with the marriage. They broke it off as friends and lived under the same house- like, it was all exactly the same, except they didn’t have the title of husband and wife

Then Micah had to go away because he found a job somewhere else and they ended up loosing contact

Swiftwind lives on the farm with LightHope

Catra and Adora are childhood friends who had the same Preschool teacher: Shadow Weaver

Angela lives on the second floor of the cafe with Glimmer

Entrapta has a roomba and she’s taken to it the way tumblr has

Entrapta has a tiny Emily that she made with Hordak’s help at a robotics workshop

Adora lived with Catra and moved to share an apartment with Bow afterwards

Shadow Weaver may or may not have died shoving Catra and Adora out of the way of a car that was driving on the sidewalk

There are fricking huge windows looking out on the street for both floors and on the other side of the street is a grassy park, so it’s really nice.
