yandere cultist but its omegaverse
cw; religion, cults, yandere themes, omegaverse
ill post the introduction for him later too. ive had this idea for a minute i thought it was fun. u always see yandere cult leaders wheres the yandere followers who act the way they do because they're following what they were told. wheres the yandere cultists who have been convinced that you're their chosen soulmate and will do anything to prove it to you.
also i got the dominant thing from a yaoi manhwa i dropped i don't remember what it was called but im sure this trope isn't original to the verse i just put my own spin on it
Tumblr media
you're what's called a "dominant" alpha, it's not anything to do with your role in the bedroom and more the strength of your traits. rut inhibitors and scent blockers have no effect on you while you struggle with interest in typical omegas. but because of the rarity of the condition it wasn't often taught about in schools. trying to find a "dominant" omega on normal dating apps was practically impossible.
that's why you turned to more conservative dating apps. less likely to find people who thought dominant omegas meant strap ons and muzzles and more likely to find people who thought the term dominant omega was a sin. while you don't agree with them an omega is a whole lot easier to reason with.
thats how you met him. he was a beautiful boy with long blue hair and lovely floral dresses. all his pictures were either clearly church pictures or candid shots of him working on a farm. all you really needed to see was the marked off dominant omega trait at this point but him being a cutie was a bonus.
you checked to make sure he was what he said he was and then you two hit it off immediately. he was shy but he used the cutest emojis, lots of hearts and sparkles. you found yourself talking to him every second of every day, completely enamored by the sweetheart he was.
so when you asked if you could finally go on a date in person you were surprised to find your stark differences reared their head. you had to meet his dad before you could go on a date. sure. he's made it no secret that he's a sheltered religious boy. the comment he also added about ensuring his purity was intact was unneeded but you could get past it. he's a good person.
he's a good person who happens to live in the same Happy Homes compound you had just watched a video essay about. you were surprised... and horrified. still as creepy as the place was you were too attached to him at this point to just abandon him here. if he couldn't be convinced to leave that's one thing but you hadn't even tried yet.
his family was warm and welcoming, a few uncomfortable comments and his eldest brother wouldn't stop glaring at you but that's not unique to them. it was a relatively normal farm house surrounded by identical farm houses. what could go wrong?
you had dinner with them and they even invited you to church with them. you knew you weren't about to be convinced to join the cult so you agreed. his father let you borrow some nice clothes and you ended up taking your boyfriend, his mother, and one of his sisters in your car.
the sermon was. boring. nothing uniquely offensive that you wouldn't find in any conservative religious church. the surprising part came with the announcements. the pastor, a beta dressed in white ushered your boyfriend and 4 other omegas onto the stage.
he talked about a plan, a calling each of them had from god. they were each supposed to bring wayward alphas to the church to join them in the house of god. yeah, you could get the gist and before you could even try to stand up one of the other boyfriends did so. he was talking about how this was bullshit and he didn't buy into this crazy crap. and then he collapsed. you watched as 2 others joined him in either death or unconsciousness.
the pastor ushered you onto the stage and your boyfriend's brother dragged you up by the arms. your heart was pounding in your ears and the lights above were glaringly bright. you barely noticed when your boyfriend's arms wrapped around your own.
"and you too shall enter the happiest homes. may god bless you."
you felt your mind go numb and the next thing you knew you were on the floor.

i forgot that you existed * sv5
you didn't expect to run into your ex ever again, yet here you are and you find yourself pretending like you'd never met him before.

Tumblr media
you hide behind a display in the middle of the supermarket, stacked boxes keeping you somewhat hidden from the man you’ve stalked the moment you got out of your car in the parking lot. you keep your head down to avoid getting recognised back.
an uncanny lookalike of the man you swore was the love of your life stepped out of the car parked next to yours and it’s like you’ve been in a trance ever since. you can’t tear your eyes away from the man now sauntering within the supermarket with a basket hanging from his arms loosely.
because you know that you packed everything up and moved halfway across the world when you thought you’d go crazy from the reality that he’d left you at the altar — on your wedding day.
it’s been 5 years since he watched you walk down the aisles of a church with your shared friends and families covered in a white dress that took you 2 months to choose. an entire lifetime ago since you had taken one last step up to the altar before he had run in the direction you came from and never be seen again.
in the back of your mind, you remember the way it felt like life had lost all its meaning after that day. life started to grey itself out as the living soul was sucked out of your body.
all for him to relay a message through his parents, thoroughly embarrassed to tell you that all the man could muster up was a pathetic and humiliating apology: ‘i’m sorry’.
he’s sorry? that’s all he could say to you after spending — wasting — 6 years of your life with him, planning your future and ending it abruptly on the day you were supposed to vow that you’d spend the rest of your lives together.
you’d daydreamed several times about the things you would say to him if you’d ever chanced upon running into him again. it went several different ways: sometimes you thought about throwing punches for making you question everything or falling to your knees in tears asking him how and why he could do this to you, and sometimes the scenario goes in a way that he’s the one begging you for an apology at your feet and saying that he regrets it.
the days seemed to pass by slowly and painfully after he’d left you. but you just remembered waking up one morning and hating the way your reflection stared at you in the mirror.
you were a mess.
so you packed your things and left everything behind — you moved halfway across the world and started anew. you haven’t regretted that decision.
and what are the chances that you’d run into sebastian in an obscure supermarket on the other side of the globe half a decade later? you had left your hometown for this very possibility only for it to happen much later in life at a time you would never have expected.
now that you’re stalking him (unstealthily), everything you’d sworn that you would say to him is thrown out of the window.
you follow him into an aisle and linger at the edge of the aisle, feigning interest in the baking goods displayed neatly on the shelves. you pick up an item and drop your head to look at it, though your eyes can’t help but trail up to the man standing on the other end of the aisle.
it really is him. no matter how much reasoning you do with yourself, there’s no denying that sebastian vettel is standing in the very same property as you for the first time since the unfortunate demise of your relationship.
you seriously consider walking up to him and clocking him in the face then bolting away. because you know — used to — him and he wouldn’t hesitate to throw back a punch.
sebastian turns his head in your direction abruptly, making you whirl back around to the shelf in front of you. and then it happens.
you hear your name being called out by a voice you’d longed to hear after all these years.
you start to panic. you consider all of the possible options to escape the situation. maybe you still have time to start running? it’s just a supermarket; there’s several others everywhere else. you can just start doing your grocery shopping elsewhere.
ah, but this is the biggest supermarket closest to you and it’s got everything you need.
but as sebastian slowly approaches you, you find your mouth speaking faster than your head could process. do i know you?
do i know you? where the hell did that come from?
sebastian stops a a distance from you, jaw hung as he tilts his head at your words. “what?”
you swallow the formed lump in your throat as you look at him, wide eyed and hands balled into fists by your side. perhaps you should just pretend that he’s got the wrong person.
yet it seems that your mouth will continue to run without your brain. “yeah, i got into an accident a couple of years ago. it affected my memory.” you smile slightly. “did i know you?”
you watch as he tries to find a response to what you’ve just said. and he’s better than you, you think, because he still managed to find something to say. “accident? i’m so sorry.” you wave off his concerns with a hand in the air and a shake of your head. “we, uh,” he sucks in a breath, “used to be really good friends.”
good friends. men really are liars.
“oh, what a shame,” you say with a grimace, as if you mean it. as if you don’t actually remember the way he’d made you feel small. “how nice that i run into a familiar — well, unfamiliar — face. i haven’t seen you in any photo albums.”
you start to think that your mouth has a mind of its own. you swear that you’ve seen a movie with this exact plot: feigning memory loss to avoid the real consequences of running into someone from your past life. or it could just be a result of all your panic.
because he is in every single photo album you’d brought along with you. there’s holes in those albums, photos with sebastian now sitting in a box in the store room of your little apartment, in the deepest corner where it cannot be acquired without hardwork.
you lie again with a soft laugh. “when i was told my memory was completely wiped from my accident, i took off in an attempt to start again. but how nice that i run into a familiar — well, unfamiliar — face again.”
sebastian stands there in silence for a moment. “i’d really love to catch up some time,” sebastian offers with a small smile. “find out about this new life you have and everything.”
you feel an insurmountable rage fill your chest. your chest feels heavy and your head starts to pound.
you should really just start running back to your car now.
“that would be a great idea!” what the hell. that’s literally not what you had meant to say. you were considering laying it on him and screaming at him in the middle of the supermarket. it’s just so unfair that he stands here acting like he hadn’t driven you to the brink of insanity in your 20s.
“fantastic!” sebastian grins fishing for his phone in the pocket of his jacket. “let me get your number so we can find a day we’re both free? i have to head back to finish unpacking my boxes — i just relocated here for work recently.”
“what are the chances,” you joke through gritted teeth, typing your number into the contact sheet he’d pulled up for you. you should just run now with his phone and throw it into the lake nearby. “well, it’s nice running into you. i’ll hopefully see you soon!” you perk up and turn around. “sorry, i didn’t catch your name earlier.”
he grins, “it’s sebastian.”

Breaking down all the Buddie from "Confessions"
Did I write a photo review with over 5000 words dissecting the episode? Yeah, I did... Hope y'all enjoy!
Gonna ignore the first call because other than the bad mustache CGI/shots where it's not even there, there wasn't anything of substance. I wonder if they used that old call cause they had to fill up time, were short on budget, something else fell through or what happened.
Tumblr media
So let's move to Eddie going to church. After 23 or so years he felt the need to confess his sins. But after an explanation of the crazy stuff that went down with Kim, including mentioning how Eddie lied to his son, his best friend and his girlfriend, he concluded he's not deserving of forgiveness and fled. The priest looked conflicted and that's supposed to be that.
Tumblr media
Eddie, catholic guilt and all, went to church to confess. It's like the most desperate measure, I imagine, but desperate times... He gave the priest his name. Interesting. I got so emotional when he described Chris and talked about his optimism. Lying to Buck was pretty much at the top of the list, huh? Like, Eddie knew how bad he was behaving because their relationship's made up of truths. His talk in the kitchen with Buck was actually instrumental to him seeing how wrong all of it was. They need to be married immediately. The fact that one of the prayers (?) Eddie was meant to repent with was called "Our Fathers" was also interesting because it's coming from a priest or father but also, more obviously, Eddie's got a million daddy issues. Ramón traumatized him and Eddie said he traumatized Chris and Chris ended up going to Texas to live with Eddie's father.
The Buck and T date scene was super interesting for many, many reasons:
Buck thought he had the upper hand, saying he'd pay for dinner and trying to get T to guess the reason behind it.
T already knew it's their anniversary, which Buck clearly didn't expect.
T didn't just know, he actually brought Buck a gift for the occasion.
Interestingly enough, last season we learned that Buck didn't like basketball in the episode in which his jealousy and Eddie and T and him being bisexual happened.
T, after SIX months of dating the man, somehow didn't know that and gifted Buck tickets to see the Lakers.
For some odd reasons, T told Buck he didn't even have to take him to the game, "Take Eddie if you want," he suggested.
Buck looked confused but not exactly averse to that idea and asked, "really?"
And then T went, "and die" and then Buck replied, "okay, that sounds right."
Tumblr media
Now, let's go through all that. It's their anniversary, they're out for dinner, and they apparently had a good time and then it's like they're completely out of sync. Buck wanted to pay for dinner to commemorate their anniversary, thinking T had missed it, whereas not only did T not miss it but he also bought him a present. Problem was said present wasn't something Buck actually cared for, which T seemed unaware of. The joke about taking Eddie... Why even suggest that? Was that a test? Did Buck fail it by wondering if that was really a possibility?
Then the woman interrupted the date and asked for a picture, with some unnecessary touching involved. I truly didn't get why Buck grabbed his own phone to take the pics... Was this second nature to him? A practical way to have an excuse to ask for the woman's phone number to send the pics? She wondered this and Buck denied it but there's literally no other reason to do that. T looked at the whole thing amusedly. Buck took the pics and went back to the table, expressing how weird that was.
Tumblr media
Was that weird? I'm honestly so confused by that scene, like... people ask strangers to take their pics all the time. Yes, some of those might be an excuse to flirt but they're at a restaurant, which isn't exactly the greatest place to be trying to pick up someone. Also, Buck made it weird with the whole using his phone thing. Even if the woman was flirting, which she seemed to be, it didn't have to be made into anything. We can assume from this that Buck is uncomfortable being flirted at in front of T but he might also not feel great about feeling attracted to somebody other than his boyfriend who's right there to see it all.
Here's where it actually got weirder. T acknowledged the fact that it's okay to look and then Buck remarked that T didn't do that. T explained he's gay by saying he's a Kinsey 6. Buck, for some reasons, didn't pick on the meaning of that so T had to explain it. That's just... I call bullshit on that. Buck, recently bisexual, lover of research and internet deep dives would know ALL about it. This scene, I gotta say, felt super wonky. At points it was meant to but at others, like this one, it just... felt off. There's also the fact that Oliver and L have zero chemistry...
Anyway, back to the date. So T didn't know that Buck disliked basketball and Buck didn't know that T was gay? After SIX months of being together? What in the hell? Why were they only talking about that at this point? I don't think full disclosure or knowing your partner's history is a must at all, but considering Buck's curiosity and the fact that he was newly out, I figured all these subjects would've part of the first conversations between them. I'm not sure what to think. Was the writing completely off? Were they unable to come up with a better excuse to bring about the past partners talk and resorted to this? It's baffling. And since it's canon, whatever the reason, I found that the whole date showcased how little they actually knew about each other, which could only be a bad sign of the things to come for their relationship.
Tumblr media
Of course, after that comment, T revealed he was engaged to a woman and called it off. Once again, the dialogue... T saying the woman went "nuts" after their break up, taking up some "himbo" half her age... Buck figured she was just trying to get over T, and then he mentioned the name of the woman. Of course it was Abby. Of course. Buck was literally having a crisis there, but the waiter showed up and asked how everything was. T, completely out of tune with what Buck was clearly trying to process, said it was "perfect." The waiter asked if he could get them anything else and T said "no, I think we're good." Buck looked so the opposite of good. Then the waiter wondered "who gets the damage" and, at last, a flawless piece of dialogue with T pointing at Buck and saying "That would be him." Buck was handed the check and the waiter told him, "whenever you're ready, no rush" and left while Buck looked like he was having a heart attack.
Tumblr media
So, yeah, the date was a complete disaster. It's a mix between the actors not clicking, the dialogue serving the plot instead of Buck as a character (and Abby and even the show) and finally the actual plot dictating that it had to be a disaster. Honestly, the moment this bit ended, I knew they were going to be done.
Next, Buck went to dispatch to talk to Maddie. Why didn't he talk this through with Eddie, Hen and Chim? Curious... Maddie wondering how many men Abby had turned gay was hilarious. But I can't believe they didn't squeeze in the fact that Buck's bi there. They didn't do it during the date, though it was implicit, but here they had the perfect opportunity since they hadn't done it before. It would've taken a second for Buck to correct Maddie. Again, the writing this episode was all over the place, specially cause Buck looked at Maddie offended and Maddie clarified she was joking but then Buck sorta explained himself and T... anyways. Josh showed up then, and something was totally off with the actor's hair btw, I couldn't focus for a second there.
Tumblr media
Josh eavesdropped and caught the kissing a boy part and eagerly asked if there was another boy... Buck was quick to deny that. Well, there's Eddie... Maddie and Buck explained the whole situation and Josh apparently knew her but they weren't close. And then, again, this whole thing just didn't make sense. Buck remarked that T led her on, said he loved her and then hurt her. Maddie thought Buck was afraid T would do that to Buck but Buck denied this and said, "I thought I knew him" and that he didn't think T would be capable of being dishonest and cruel.
Let me rewind for a second. Why was Buck under the impression that he knew T? Buck didn't even know T was gay... Also, didn't Buck know about T's past? He was worse than cruel to Hen and Chim... Truly, was he not told about all of that? I just, the use of the world cruel here... don't get me wrong, leading someone on is cruel but the whole being gay and repressing it part, while not excusing it, would at least explain T's actions. But the way he acted towards Chim and Hen... that had nothing to do with self-repression. It just didn't. I need someone to explain to me in detail how come Buck was deluded to think he knew T when at this point I'd be shocked to learn he knew T's last name.
Tumblr media
Then the Josh speech happened. I wasn't happy with it at all. First of all, what's Buck loving him to do with any of it? If T was a cruel person, then Buck loving him wouldn't justify any of what he did to Abby. Buck looked super not in love as an answer, which was hilarious to me because of course he didn't love T, he didn't know the man!!! Josh backtracked from that word and asked a series of questions aimed at... gauging how much Buck cared for T? IDEK, it was all pretty ridiculous from the start. Also, first two questions made sense for Buck to answer affirmatively but T was literally such a plot device that there hadn't been a single instance in which Buck had shown that he was thinking about T or making T's concerns and happiness his own. These things, though, get positive answers in canon as far as Buddie is concerned. The future question was interesting because Buck's answer was "I could." It's never a definitive answer, it's another instance of "I guess" from the time T echoed "my attention?" when they first kissed. It's like Buck was convincing himself then. Josh took that to advice Buck to stop judging T because Buck didn't know what he was talking about.
Tumblr media
The speech went into pre and post Glee world and all that nonsense. I truly hate a lot of things this episode chose to be. Was mentioning a Ryan Murphy show in a RM show a necessity? I don't wanna get into what Glee did or didn't do for the queer world, the point here is actually moot because T and Abby weren't a thing before Glee. Again, whatever experience with coming out T and Josh had, it had nothing to do with what Buck was asking. Buck was worried about the side of T he claimed not to know and how cruel he could be. I think the way T referred to her and the situation was also pretty awful, in the present tense. Even if one thought T was protecting himself by being with Abby, there is still room for judgement. We have Hen and Karen, in this same show, not being cruel to anyone, for one. Also, T didn't fight a single battle. He treated his coworker who was out like scum and was racist towards Chim. T wasn't an activist fighting for his life and his rights, he was just a bad person all around as far as we know. He had no scars to show. We can pretend he had an internal battle, maybe a family issue with his coming out but there's nothing to honor him for.
Tumblr media
I cannot believe this show did that speech so awfully and pretended it was the greatest thing since Jack Shephard's "live together, die alone." Truly, they thought they had done a brilliant job and it's utter bullshit throughout.
Tumblr media
Moving on, Eddie went to get juice... but then he changed his mind and got water instead. Who's there to witness that but Father Brian. Eddie's outside, drinking his water looking gloomy about it when Brian asked him of he could take a seat. Eddie allowed him to and for some reason, as Brian was sitting down, looked around. Brian told Eddie about being there for the first time, as if compelled, and then asked Eddie if he went there often. Eddie immediately assumed he was being hit on. Now, whether this is indicative of Eddie being hit on a lot or he just took those words as the line they sometimes can be and interpreted it that way, I hope we'll find out soon. Either way, Eddie told Brian "no offense, I'm straight." The lady doth protest... Hilariously enough, Brian's answer wasn't "me too" or "I'm not interested" but "I'm celibate". Eddie took that in and then Brian introduced himself and revealed that he knew Eddie. Eddie was processing that and the Father part, his hand still in the air.
Tumblr media
Brian mentioned that he noticed that Eddie chose the juice initially and then got the water instead. He asked Eddie why he did that and Eddie kinda asked "decided I wanted water?" Brian posed that Eddie was punishing himself, denying himself because Eddie didn't feel worthy. Eddie sighed and, "I don't feel worty of juice?" Brian went straight (haha) to the point, "Of joy." Eddie chuckled and looked around and spoke in a low voice as he said he didn't have a lot to be joyful about because Brian was bringing up something Eddie had confessed to him in public. Eddie's well aware he's in public... Brian started listing the things that Eddie had, Chris, his parents, his job and his mustache. Eddie was kinda not happy but that last one got him laughing and blushing. He then confessed that he grew the mustache because he couldn't grow a full beard due to the LAFD. Brian concluded the mustache was a disguise and Eddie said it was something like that. Brian asked what Eddie's afraid of seeing in the mirror and Eddie said, "A failure. A man who doesn't deserve forgiveness. Or joy." Brian said that's now what go wanted for Eddie, that he'd already forgiven him. Eddie repeated that he doesn't deserve that and uncapped the bottle to take a sip of the water. Brian told him to earn it, and to stop punishing himself in the meantime. He remarked that Eddie spent his life in service and he understood that but they couldn't take care of others if they didn't take care of themselves. Eddie smiled and said he understood and Brian told him that after praying, he wanted Eddie to do something frivolous, something fun, something that expressed pure joy. Eddie told him he'd think about it.
Tumblr media
The Eddie scenes were clearly written by someone else because they were all pretty on point. We had Eddie conflicted, and while it could just be him preferring water (the alternative is truly devastating to me so I want to believe Eddie isn't punishing himself through food), Brian decided to go with it to get Eddie to reflect about what he was doing to himself and it worked. Eddie didn't run away like he did in church but Eddie was shown to be aware of his surroundings, so the fact that he claimed to be straight with all of his chest... Why did he do that? Why did he think he was being hit on in the first place? Why was that moment necessary within this scene? Was juice really a representation of joy? Was joy a metaphor for something else? What were tptb trying to show or say here? Would a heterosexual character need to affirm himself as such? Would a repressed one? Thoughts, so many thoughts!!!!
Tumblr media
The well emergency happened and it wasn't about Eddie, but it was interesting cause they seem to be doing Greatest Hits for some reason... Now I gotta ask, wouldn't Eddie, as a medic, know that getting the kid oxygen wouldn't work? Why was Hen explaining that to him? Honestly, the writing this episode... Buck's first idea was to dig... funny. Eddie said someone had to get down there and Bobby told him he wasn't gonna fit this time. Interesting. Bobby announced they would pull the big brother out after two minutes no matter what, specifically addressing Buck and Eddie. Interesting.
Tumblr media
So it wasn't about Eddie because it wasn't the same Eddie. The pipe was smaller and Eddie didn't fit. But Eddie also didn't fit himself. He disguised himself with a mustache to avoid looking at his face in the mirror because he felt like a failure. He was shown in an episode entitled "Masks" at home taking down Halloween decorations all on his own. Bobby made sure that both Buck and Eddie knew the clock was ticking and they had to abide by it this time. Unlike Eddie's well, when Eddie cut the line and Hen refused to have Buck look for him because they'd end up with two cut lines. No more lines being cut? No more alternative ways to escape? Maybe I'm reading way too much but the camera did show Buck and Eddie's reaction as Bobby singled them out.
Tumblr media
Back at the loft, T said he had a spot right out front and they should Uber to the movie so he didn't lose it. That phrasing... Buck agreed but asked to talk first. T replied positively, "we got time." Again, funny way to put it. They were both going to the movies so why was T the one who was going to lose it if they didn't get the Uber? You know who actually got an Uber with Buck recently, right? Also, "we got time".... famous last words. He'd just said they didn't have time but then said they did and, well, as it turned out, they didn't.
Tumblr media
They sat down around the island and Buck brought up the story at the restaurant that T shared with him about how he "almost got engaged." This was odd and T corrected Buck, "I did get engaged. What I didn't do is get married." Buck said he appreciated T's honesty and that he wanted to be honest with him. T knew this spelled trouble and Buck denied it before taking out his phone and passing it over to show T pictures of Buck and Abby. T was surprised at first but then he scrolled to a pic of Buck and Abby kissing. Buck announced he was the himbo. T agreed it was crazy, after Buck put it like that, but added it was a little awkward. Buck decided to go closer and said it was like that for him as well at first, and that he should had been honest at dinner, but T asked or gathered that it had freaked him out a little. Buck said yes to this and T explained that if he had known, he wouldn't had used the word himbo because he didn't think Buck's one. Buck claimed that he was, at least before Abby, because what they had wasn't that, not for him. Buck said it was the most transformative relationship of his life until then. Buck said one of the reasons he's comfortable with T was that T's comfortable with himself. T said he wasn't always that way and Buck said he's aware and it made him admire T more. And then dropped the bomb, saying he wanted T to move in with him. WHAT?
Tumblr media
No, really, WHAT? Buck really got deranged thoughts cause why on Earth would he ask T to move in? They clearly didn't know each other, they didn't love each other either, so explain how this made sense?? I'm hoping that it's a case of tptb purposefully having Buck spiral and go from zero to a hundred. There's also parallels between this and Eddie and Marisol, with Buck and Eddie asking their partners to move in when their relationships were clearly not at that stage.
T's reaction to Buck's words was crystal. While Buck said he was ready to take the next step and then, for entirely insane reasons, made it clear that he wasn't proposing marriage and or an engagement, though that'd be a possibility thanks to the brave people that came before like T. WHAT? Really, no, I'm so serious. I fucking cannot with this dialogue. Moving in, the suggestion, was bad enough, but bringing up marriage? Attributing the fact that they had that right thanks to people like T? SERIOUSLY? This was atrocious. I know Oliver was thinking of his bank account while delivering those lines because they were as non sensical as they could get.
Tumblr media
"Why be apart when we can be together?" Buck finally asked. T said that's sweet but he couldn't move in. Buck wondered the why and T answered, "Because... I know how this ends." And my heart literally stopped or skipped a beat or something. I legit thought he was gonna bring up Eddie or a hint and, well, he kinda did, though not directly.
Buck asked what that meant and T explained. He mentioned Buck's qualities but then said that Buck's feelings were new and so it was all exciting and it felt like forever but he's still figuring himself out, which was good. Buck asked what he was saying and T said that no matter how bad he wanted to be, he wasn't his last but his first. Buck interjected that they could be the same but T said they usually weren't. If he were to move in, Buck wouldn't mean to but he'd end up breaking T's heart and he didn't think he could deal with that. He got up to leave, saying he should go and Buck told him to wait and asked him if he had just broken up with him, to which T replied, "yes, I guess I did. Believe me, I didn't see it coming either. Should've known that parking spot was too good to be true. I'll see you around, Buck."
At last, free! But while the beginning of the conversation was terrible, it ended on a high note. There's a lot of questions, like: according to what he said, T knew there wasn't a future between them. So I'm guessing here that after six months, they hadn't actually discussed that because Buck was clearly on a different page. T knew they weren't long term while Buck was thinking of moving together and being together for good. Make it make sense, how were these two dating not knowing anything about each other and not discussing basic relationship stuff??? T knew that Buck had to figure himself out yet he was still with him hoping it'd be casual without actually talking about it??? Yet he later claimed he didn't see a break up coming and he could see his heart being broken?
Tumblr media
Now, my shipper heart wants to believe the between-the-lines reading of this scene had Eddie written all over. Eddie is how it'll end... And the fact that T's answer to Buck's question contained the "guess" this time around, mirroring Buck's response to "my attention"... INTERESTING. It was all a guessing game between BT, It's also the first time he called Buck by his name, which was the first and probably last because we're not gonna see him ever again. I was glad Buck asked if they were done because we all know he got confused about it with Abby... So long, T, you will not be missed. Buck's loft door opened and later on, another did...
Tumblr media
Finally, we had Eddie. My boy. Looking at himself in the mirror and getting rid of his disguise.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then... I literally felt so many things at once, y'all! The music, the shot... I couldn't believe it was about to happen. And then the mole made an appearance and Eddie was wearing pink and tighty whities and I swear I couldn't. I just, even rewatching to write this... I love him so much!!!!!!!!!! I was so happy to see Eddie letting go of his disguise and allowing himself to have that joy. The fact that Ryan looked like that... I was fighting for my life the whole time, NEGL.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I kept thinking Buck was going to show up midway. I was truly bracing myself for it. But the doorbell rang. Eddie looked through the peephole. Buck was there. Eddie opened the door, nodded at him and Buck gave him a beer as an answer to an unasked question and got in. Eddie closed the door and looked at the beer, at Buck and at the beer again. He made a face and then climbed the sofa. Buck was already drinking when the camera panned to him. Eddie opened his beer and drank from it. Scene.
LISTEN. I was unhinged already because they had Ryan dancing like that. But then the final scene happened and I just... I don't know how I'll survive what I hope it's to come.
Let's break that one down:
Eddie decided to follow Brian's words. Eddie didn't forgive himself but he decided to stop punishing and disguising himself in the meantime.
The way Eddie looked at himself in the mirror, both before and after he shaved off his mustache... My heart!!!
Eddie allowed himself to do something frivolous, something fun, something that expressed pure joy. The fact that he chose to dance half naked around his house... that's very babygirl of him, and I don't say this lightly.
The pink... the moves like the ones from the bachelor party... I felt crazy.
I kept waiting for Buck to show up, like my mind was half insane at what I was seeing and half insane at the possibility of Buck seeing it as well.
The doorbell rang instead.
Why didn't Buck use his keys?
It was the perfect opportunity for Eddie to put on some pants. Eddie didn't do that… Neither before or after looking who it was.
But, really, why didn't Buck use his keys? WHY????????
Was it to hammer the fact that Eddie was comfortable opening up his door to Buck while not wearing pants?
Was it so Eddie could see him standing on the other side of the door, mimicking Brian's view of Eddie in the confessionary? Will there be something for Buck to confess in the future? To Eddie specifically???
Buck wasn't looking at Eddie when Eddie saw him behind the door, btw...
Tumblr media
Eddie opened his door and they looked at each other and said not a word but understood each other perfectly.
Tumblr media
I truly hate the continuity error with the shirt collar. It's gonna hunt me forever.
Buck made himself at home while Eddie considered the beer.
Remember how Eddie's choices were water or juice? Well, what about a third secret option? BEER. Buck's beer, in fact. INTERESTING.
Tumblr media
I went nuts and will continue to go nuts at Eddie climbing the sofa. Whose choice was that? I need to know. It was so freaking cute!!!
The camera went steady and Buck was already drinking from his bottle. Eddie, on the other hand, uncapped the bottle like he did with the water, and the shot ended as he drank the beer.
The contrast in the colors of their clothes… the fact that Eddie was looking to the side while Buck was looking ahead.
Tumblr media
Was all of this symbolic of the fact that Buck already figured his sexuality out while Eddie's just starting? I'd like to think so.
Was it symbolic of Buck reaching conclusions he'd later have to confess to Eddie before Eddie arrives to those same conclusions himself? I'd also like this very much.
Tumblr media
Now, the episode was called "Confessions" and Buck and Eddie didn't speak to each other. Not a single word. Even in that last scene, the only one in which they actually interacted, they didn't use words to communicate.
I see this lack of dialogue between Buck and Eddie in two ways:
First, it could show how good a relationship Buck and Eddie have in order to not utter a sound and still get each other completely. Regardless of all the issues I had with the writing, I can safely say that Buck and T were the complete opposite and lacked communication all around. The space and lack thereof reflected this too. Buck and Eddie know each other so well and Buck went directly to sit down on the couch, waiting for Eddie. Eddie followed right behind. BT, though... Buck stepped away from their table and the whole conflict with T's dating history started. Buck sat very far from T at the loft and only got close to be broken up with. Incredibly enough, that final shot with Buck and Eddie sitting together at Eddie's couch was the first that ever happened... Maybe that's foreshadowing something else, like couch theory related stuff? I never really spiraled about it before but I might soon.
Second, it could indicate there's something Buck and Eddie aren't saying to each other. They didn't speak to each other because they can't -- they're not ready or aware that there is something to confess. They remained silent because it isn't time yet but if they were to confess something, it would be impossible to take back. It would change everything. It will.
This is a legit insane post. When I say they're driving me nuts, I mean it and this is proof. Even though it's the longest ever, I probably forgot stuff that I might add tomorrow.
Now please share your thoughts on the episode and Buddie and everything so I don't feel alone in my madness. <3

Shadows of the Sacred
father charlie x detective!reader
part ||
summary: what begins as a case for y/n takes a turn to something far more difficult for y/n to resist
I still came to the church the next day. Last night lingering in the back of my mind. His lips against mine, his body pressed against me, and his strong arms wrapped around my body.
After his sermon he asked me to stay to talk. I stood in the hallway waiting for him. Father Charlie stood before me, the weight of his actions heavy on his shoulders. "Y/n," he began, his voice filled with remorse, "I need to apologize for what happened between us. I know I crossed a line that I should never have approached. As a priest, my vow is to serve and protect, and I failed in that duty."
I looked at him, my emotions a mix of confusion and hurt. "Father Charlie," I replied softly, "I don't understand why you do it. You're supposed to be someone I can trust completely."
He took a deep breath, struggling to find the right words. "I know, and I'm deeply sorry. But I can't deny that I still have feelings for you. It's something I have to wrestle with every day. I want to be there for you, to support you, but I also need to respect the boundaries of my vow."
"This is all so confusing for me. I need time to think about everything."
Father Charlie nodded, his heart heavy. "I understand. Take all the time you need. Just know that I'm here, and I want to find a way for us to move forward, even if it's just as friends."
He stalked over to me brushing a strand behind my ear. He leaned down whispering in my ear. “Was that enough time to think.” I tried not to smile looking up into his eyes. “Charlie you know it’s wrong”
“I know that, why do you think my backs that way?” I pause for a moment. “you did that to yourself?” “I have to punish myself for my sins” “then what’s the point of-“ he cuts me off by leaning closer into me our breaths lingering. Making my heartbeat go faster. We heard footsteps and he pulled quick away from me looking for any bystanders. Must have been an echo because no one was there. But when I turned back around Charlie was gone.
Tumblr media
Sister Megan rushed up to me, her words spilling out in a frantic stream. "Oh my goodness, have you heard about the murders? It's all anyone can talk about! I can't believe this is happening here. If you know anything I’d love to talk It's so scary!"
Me, keeping my undercover identity intact, tried to stay calm. "Yeah, I've heard some things. It's pretty unsettling."
Megan didn't seem to notice my attempt at composure and continued rambling. "I mean, who would do such a thing? And why here? It's just crazy! I don't know what to think anymore. Do you think we're safe?"
I nodded, trying to reassure her. "I'm sure the authorities are doing everything they can. We just need to stay alert and look out for each other."
Megan sighed, clearly not picking up on my subtle hints. "I guess you're right. It's just so hard not be so intrigued. Anyway, if you hear anything, let me know, okay?"
I managed a small smile. "Of course, Sister. I'll keep my ears open."
Tumblr media
Father Charlie and me had been meeting secretly for weeks, our forbidden relationship adding a thrilling edge to our encounters. Tonight, we found ourselves in the dimly lit chapel, the flickering candlelight casting shadows on the ancient stone walls.
We stood close, whispering softly to each other, the tension between us palpable. My heart raced as Father Charlie gently took my hand, his eyes filled with a mix of affection and concern.
"We have to be careful," he murmured. "If anyone finds out..."
"I know," y/n replied, squeezing his hand reassuringly. "But I can't stay away from you."
Just as we leaned in for a tender kiss, the sound of footsteps echoed through the chapel. We quickly pulled apart, my heart pounding. A nun appeared at the entrance, her stern gaze sweeping the room.
"Father Charlie, are you here?" she called out, her voice echoing off the walls.
Father Charlie cleared his throat, stepping forward to meet her. "Yes, Sister Megan. Is there something you need?"
I held my breath, trying to remain as inconspicuous as possible. The nun's eyes briefly flickered towards me, but she seemed to accept Father Charlie's explanation that he was simply praying.
"Very well," Sister Megan said, her tone softening. "I didn't mean to disturb you. Goodnight, Father."
"Goodnight, Sister," he replied, watching her leave.
Once the nun was out of sight, I let out a sigh of relief. Father Charlie turned back to me, his expression a mix of relief and lingering worry.
"That was too close," he said, pulling me into a tight embrace.
"I know," I whispered, resting my head against his chest. "But we're safe for now."
We stayed like that for a moment, savoring the closeness and the quiet of the chapel. Despite the risks.
Tumblr media
Charlie, with his calm demeanor and kind heart towards me, still had no idea that I was a detective. He believed that I worked a regular 9-to-5 job, completely unaware of the dangerous world I navigated daily.
Our evenings together were a stark contrast to my work life. We often met at his small room in the monastery tucked away from prying eyes. Charlie would talk about his day at the church, the people he helped, and the passion he had for being a priest. I would listen intently, my heart warming at his passion for the church.
One evening, as we walked through the convent, my phone buzzed with a message from my partner at the precinct. I quickly glanced at it and slipped the phone back into my pocket, hoping Charlie hadn't noticed. But he did.
"Everything okay?" he asked, his eyes filled with concern.
"Yeah, just a friend checking in," I replied, forcing a smile.
Charlie nodded, accepting her answer, but a part of him sensed there was more to her life than she let on. He admired her strength and independence, but he couldn't shake the feeling that she was hiding something significant.
As we continued out walk, I felt a pang of guilt. She wanted to tell Charlie the truth, to let him in on my real life, but I feared it would change everything. I cherished the simplicity of our relationship, the way he looked at me with pure affection, untainted by the harsh realities of my job.
Later that night, as he kissed me in bed, Charlie took my hand in his. "You know, whatever it is you're not telling me, I'm here for you. You can trust me."
My heart ached with the weight of my secret. I looked into Charlie's eyes, seeing the genuine care and love he had for me. "I know, Charlie. And I promise, when the time is right, I'll tell you everything."
Charlie smiled, squeezing my hand gently. "I'll be here, waiting." He said continuing kissing down my neck
For now, our secret relationship remained just that—a secret. But I knew that one day, I would have to reveal my true identity to the man I was falling deeply in love with and have to end it.
Tumblr media
Father Charlie was in y/n apartment, waiting for her to come back from a quick errand. As he idly looked around, he noticed a folder partially hidden under a stack of books on her desk. Curiosity got the better of him, and he pulled it out. The folder was labeled with y/ns name and contained detailed notes about the recent murder case, notes that only someone on the inside would have.
His heart sank as he read through the documents. It became clear that y/n was not just a concerned parishioner but an undercover detective. The realization hit him hard; she had been using their relationship to gather information for her investigation.
When I returned from the station, I found Charlie standing by my desk, the folder in his hands. Shit. "Charlie, what are you doing?" I asked, her voice tinged with panic.
"I found this," he said, holding up the folder. "Why didn't you tell me you were working on this case as a detective?"
My eyes widened in surprise and guilt. "Charlie, I can explain..."
But Charlie cut her off, his voice tinged with hurt. "I thought you were here because you cared, not because you were using me to solve a fucking case. How could you?"
I took a deep breath. "Charlie, I do care. I didn't mean to deceive you. I just didn't know how to tell you. My feelings for you are real."
Charlie shook his head, the pain evident in his eyes. "I trusted you, y/n. I thought what we had was real. Now, I don't know what to believe."
The room fell silent as the weight of the revelation settled between us, leaving our love hanging in the balance.

Headcanons i came up with while in Tumblr jail
All of these will be mainly set after the book, but Johnny and Dally live! Also, also, there's hints and pushes towards Steve/Sodapop and Ponyboy/Johnny but its not explicitly said (but heavily implied).
Johnny moved in with the Curtis' after he was released from the hospital and any and all charges against him were dropped.
No one knows how or why the charges were dropped but they are thankful for it regardless. It was Cherry and Marcia's doing, but the two girls don't tell anyone. Two-Bit suspects, and only thanks Marcia (when they meet up after the whole phone number debacle, which only happens because Ponyboy snf Cherry sorted them out)
He and Ponyboy started sharing a room, letting Sodapop move back to his own, though it left him lonely at night because he was so used to cuddling with someone at night (Steve usually joins him to leave the couch for Dally should be need it).
Steve and Ponyboy both wear glasses
They also both don't wear their glasses cause they think the other will make fun of them and don't know the other also wears them.
Sodapop is confused on why neither of them wear glasses because he was with them both when they got theirs (at separate times, obviously)
Johnny thinks Pony's glasses are cute on him, and he'll occasionally put them on Ponyboy when he isn't really paying attention (like when they're in their room reading).
Sodapop also thinks Steve looks cute in his glasses. Steve hates that thought outwardly, it secretly loves it. Sodapop knows that.
Neither find out about the others glasses until, like, Thanksgiving the year they get them (like maybe four months after Steve gets his, which would be seven after pony gets his). Both are outraged and confused on why they are outraged.
Curtis' Gangs favorite holidays
Ponyboy's is either Halloween or Christmas
Ponyboy loves drawing his friends, and every Halloween and Christmas he gives them a drawing of them self.
Halloween is for when Ponyboy takes the time to draw everyone as 'monsters' or everyone in Halloween costumes, even if they didn't dress up that year. He doesn't really go out after the church and fire and stuff because he would feel terrible leaving Johnny behind, so they cuddle on the couch with Johnny's chair nearby while Ponyboy draws.
Christmas is for when Ponyboy thought they looked happiest that year, with either the story of what was going on or why he thought it was when they looked happiest. That and Johnny spends more nights at the Curtis' house, at least before the church and everything that happened. Now though, Johnny practically lives at the Curtis house and is honestly much happier which makes Ponyboy happier, and it raises the gangs spirits that Johnny never had to see his "parents" again, especially for the first Christmas after when it hit everyone about the year they'd had
Sodapop's is Christmas
Sodapop absolutely adores Christmas, because it's cold outside, there's eventually gift giving, and he gets to snuggle up with either his brothers or with Steve. And it means Darry's home a bit more because there's not really much roofing to be done with how cold it gets, which Sodapop loves (he loves his family at home, thank you very much)
He also is 'crazy' because he loves the cold. Ponyboy thinks he's crazy, but that's because Ponyboy freezes easier. Sodapop's a walking furnace though, not that Steve's complaining.
Darry's is Thanksgiving
Darry loves Thanksgiving because it gives him an excuse to cook loads (I headcanon him to be an excellent cook) and feed the gang loads. They have left overs for at least a week, week and a half of they pushed it, and he uses that to feed the gang in many different ways (there's only so many times you can eat something before you're sick of it, and Darry knows this so he gets to be creative)
Darry also cooks something special on Halloween because most of the gang loves the holiday and he wants them to be able to celebrate it and he likes being able to feed them.
Two-Bit's is Halloween
I've seen in many other people's headcanons that he loves to scare little kids at Halloween, or just scare people in general and I love that.
He and Dally team up every Halloween to scare people, including the adults. It makes the both of them cackle and when they get to the Curtis house, both with candy for Ponyboy and Johnny that they nabbed from the store, they have stories to tell that'll get Johnny and Ponyboy both laughing.
Two-bit also treasures every drawing Ponyboy draws and gives him. He saw Ponyboy after the fire and the hospitals and the rumble and while he was sick, and he knew just jow close theys come to losing Johnny and Pony and holds onto them and their 'innocence' that they still have left.
Dally claims he doesn't have Halloween (it's Halloween)
Dally tries to play off like he's Tough and doesn't have a favorite holiday, but it's absolutely Halloween. He loves scaring the kids (it's easy) and he loves the challenge of scaring the adults with Two-bit.
He also steals candy for Johnny (after the fire) and he and two-bit, after their fun is over, chill at the Curtis house until Sodapop and Steve gets back from either a work related Halloween event, or from wherever the two made off too to trick or treat (if they manage to trick people into it
Steve also claims he doesn't have one (he actually doesn't have one but he loves seeing Sodapop's reaction to Christmas)
I couldn't really think of anything to put here, but I think Steve gets a tattoo to remind him of Sodapop, it's a sunflower. Turns out, the same week Sodapop also got a sunflower tattoo, but neither knew the other got one until Christmas Eve. Steve's is near the crook of his elbow on his right arm, and Sodapop's is sorta near where Steve's bird(eagle outline?) tattoo is but on he left arm. They both cry, and then laugh.
Johnny's is Halloween but he also really enjoys Christmas
Johnny loves Halloween for the costumes and free candy. Even though he doesn't go out for them anymore. He would much rather sit with Ponyboy as he draws, or reads. He usually falls asleep early that night.
He loves Christmas because he doesn't really have to leave the Curtis house unless it's for school, and even then, he has the option of just asking Ponyboy to get his homework for him, though he does try stick it out most days. Also, he always has someone there to help him, because Ponyboy rarely leaves his side for long, and even if he does, Two-Bit's there or Steve is or Dally is at the very least.
Darry also let's him help with baking during the Christmas holiday, it's his favorite part
The gangs Love Language(s)
Ponyboy is gift giving
Sodapop is physical affection or acts of service
Steve's is acts of service
Johnny's is quality time
Darry's is acts of service
Dally's is gift giving but in subtle ways
Two-Bits is quality time or gift giving
And no I don't really wanna explain (for right now) the love languages one 😂, because honestly? My other headcanons kinda show why.

Lead Us to Temptation- Masterlist
Tumblr media
Summary: In the small town of Eden Ridge, you knew several things to be true: church happened every Sunday, the saloon served free lunch with the purchase of a drink on Thursdays, coal miners left work at 7PM sharp, and Bucky Barnes was a man sent from the depths of hell dangling the threat of temptation and sin right in front of your face. All you need to do is reach out and grab it.
Pairing: Outlaw!Bucky Barnes X Reader
Warnings: Cowboy/western/outlaw AU, religious themes, Midwestern Gothic, dark themes, guns, violence, misogyny, crass language, alcohol, smoking, explicit content, mature content, overall mature themes. The story takes place a little further north than the typical wild west setting because I am a Midwestern girl at heart. Bucky is going to be 10 years older than reader (i am trying not to use Y/N). The time line is the late 1880s/1890s. As always my reader is most likely plus sized/curvy. If you see any Red Dead Redemption references no you didn't
DNI if you are under 18 or if these themes upset you.
Read me on AO3
A/N: Well howdy there folks! Isn't it crazy when you say you're going to retire from writing fanfictions and then are possessed to write one? Anyways I'm back and better than ever and I hope you all enjoy the ramblings of someone who is terminally H word if you know what I mean. As always, likes and reblogs are immensely appreciated. There will be no tag list because i am far too lazy to do that, but feel free to turn on notifications for me or bookmark it on AO3 where it will also be posted per usual. Also I'm sorry if its not 100% historically accurate, I'm doing a lot of research in fashion and what not but at the end of the day I'm just a girl. The tag to find this in my blog will be #LUT

Newbie confusion: Prayers
Reading The Complete Book of Demonolatry by S. Connolly.
Thanks to this book I've discovered that I've been praying wrong this whole time, not only applying in Demonolatry, but in general. I thought it was a nice poem you'd say out loud and that's it, I didn't understand why people talked about it like it was an actual offering.
Like, it's actually an exchange of energy. I'm actually giving something to them, not just saying stuff out loud. I still have a very physical view of the spiritual world (contradictory, I know), and unless I can feel the offering, make it, touch it, sense it in general, it's like I'm not doing anything.
I didn't understand offerings very well either. Like, I give you a strawberry and you spiritually eat it or what? What's happening to the strawberry, what's going on. 😦
The thing, or how I understood it, is basically that entities are energy themselves, and when you put energy into doing something with a good intention for them you're... feeding them? I don't think that's the word, but maybe in the same way a person goes to a ballet. That dancer is not doing anything for me, but their performance evokes an energy that makes me feel good.
I think I didn't really get why a deity or a demon would like to constantly receive praise and everyone to be scared of their power because "bad things happen when you don't like me" type of mentality. That's how I used to view God and that's what I thought was the norm.
I didn't get it because I wouldn't like it if people did it to me, but actually this is not what was supposed to be happening when worshipping. People pray and offer stuff because they are friends and students of their deities/demons, and they like to thank them for teaching them stuff and helping them.
When I first discovered this stuff I was like "Damn y'all talk are fucking crazy" but no, it's just they don't live with the idea that they should fear who they worship, just respect it like any other being on this earth. Believe it or not I thought this was stupid until later on.
Nothing more to add, actually. I wanted to make a post about my discovery and my view as a newbie in spirituality, because I'm more new to this than I thought I was. My head works in mysterious ways.
I'll definitely incorporate this new knowledge and see how I can make my brain think I'm doing something and not just saying meaningless stuff out loud, I may or may not update. 👍🏻
Small disclaimer: I don't hate God currently, but according to everything that I saw and heard at church I thought he was meant to be feared, and my small kid brain didn't really think that was nice so I stopped believing in him and started being an absolute hater. I stopped after a while and discovered witchcraft.
I'd love to hear that I'm not the only one who had a weird perspective on this, I also love hearing other perspectives and any advice you have on this matter (with respect obviously). 🫶🏻

Ok, I finally saw Journey to Bethlehem and I can't begin to express how much I loved it, I'm a very difficult person to like a full musical, which is why movies like west side story and in the heights I only liked a few songs, like as movies in general they are good, but not to my personal taste.
Furthermore, the Christian film market usually ranges from very similar, commercial and honestly boring films, to 'reinterpretations' that remove plots and things that do not go at all with the Original material So I wasn't too confident in how good the trailer looked but I was willing to give it a look, thank goodness I did.
As a Christian who was raised in the church with a Christian family, my view of religion was quite Biased by their way of looking at it Which wasn't bad, but I was focused on the religious point of view sometimes excessively, so over time as I grew up and got to know the world around me, I moved away from that, And then after I grew up I returned to wanting to learn for myself without biased opinions about the Bible and to be able to understand it and really feel what everyone said they felt.
And so I came to the conclusion that You can save your self a Lot of time, if you just read the bible as what it is: a book, full of human people with a lot of imperfections, murky, miraculous, heartbreaking, crazy, steamy and even funny (yes, I'm not lying) stories. Religion, so focused on an idea that sometimes not even the Bible itself shares, forgets the human part that fills the stories, which is not very described in it either, but that one can easily interpret.
And thanks to this, criticism of Christians is very well founded on several occasions, and many people have the mistaken idea that the Bible is a 'holy book of holy people'.
That there is nothing more false, the book is holy or is different, unique and/or sacred because of how it was written and because of the stories that happen in it And how accompanied by prayer and the real desire to want to know, you can learn a lot no matter how many times you read it, not because of the people who lived them.
Who were they, let me tell you the test of God's patience.
Do you know Moses? The dude who divided the sea (by God's guidance), did you knew that (this one's funny), thanks to the people he brought out of Egypt after the plagues and that he have to spend 40 years with them in the desert? 🙃 no, it's not a joke and no, it's not an interpretation, literally thanks to the almost constant disobedience of the Israelis after being liberated they were punished with that, and the worst thing is that God had reasons, and I'll give you an example of that, these people decided to worship a damn golden cow that they built Because Moses had taken a long time to return from talking to God (when he went to look for the commandments ironically) less than a year after being freed by God from slavery.
Moses broke the first tables of commandments out of anger, and had to go look for them again, I repeat, no, I'm not playing, this is how it happened in the Bible And it was not only for this reason that they had to stay, it was a list of things that these people did, having as a testimony and example just by being free, still had Incredible faith problems.
The generation that left Egypt never saw or lived in the promised land, the only one who saw it out of mercy was Moses, but it was the descendants who managed to enter the promised land.
Haaa, bet you didn't knew that..
So, as you can see, no, not holy and/or perfect people at all. You might wonder, what does this have to do with the movie? And I will answer you, sorry, i got inspired, but the thing is, this is basically the context of why I liked it so much.
Journey to Bethlehem, it is the story of the birth of Jesus if we remove the religion and the holy holy beautiful peacefull look that some churches like to sell, and start to unite our 4 neurons and think about what, humanly, those people thought and did under the context of that time With fire songs, good performances, very good acting, and Milo (I'm not going to elaborate, I'll just say that I gained a tremendous crush on this man lmao)
And I want to list my favorite points from this in the movie.
-The representation of Mary
Arguably my favorite part of the movie, like, this woman really made me feel what it must have been like for her to carry the son of God.
Because N1: Mary is painted as this woman rejoicing in the news that she will become pregnant overnight when she is engaged, not married, in a patriarchal society With around 1000 laws about what you can and cannot do and the things you cannot do are punishable by death, One of them being being pregnant or having a child out of marriage 🙃🤭 what a blessing right?
And N2: For years Mary has been said to be holy and worshiped when she probably wouldn't approve of that herself, since she grew up with scriptures that said they couldn't worship idols. And they made her an idol. Something to make clear is that the only holy human, biblically speaking, is Jesus. Mary was a virgin, not a saint, she had more children with her husband after having Jesus, she had a life beyond him.
And this movie brings that out, it makes the most of it and I love it.
It shows what a struggle it must have been for her to have such a burden on her, she was young (in those days people married young), perhaps a teenager, Yes, they were raised differently and at the end of the day he was about to get married, but still, as I said, the Bible leaves out a lot of the human factor.
It can say that it passes a beginning and an end but it does not give you the means to connect both parts In the Bible, Mary respectfully accepts the news that she is going to have a baby, and the film respects that, but Mary was human, you know the fear and absolute madness must cause that an angel to appear to you out of nowhere and tell you that you are going to have a son who is going to be savior and king and then disappear (appreciation for the angel Gabriel btw My man would be me if i was an angel lmao) How the hell do you explain that to your parents? To your fiancé, no matter how versed everyone was in the scriptures, no one, NO ONE thought Jesus was going to be born from a humble virgin, Literally part of the reason (spoiler alert lmao) Jesus was killed was because no one believed that the king they were waiting for was a simple carpenter who was born in a manger. This probably included Mary herself, certainly her parents, and much more, Joseph. And she knew it, of course she knew it, she knew it was true but she had to know how hard it was to believe it and how much trouble she could get into for being pregnant. It's kind of expected that Mary would have doubts, rightly so which is why I love love the song "mother to a savior and king" i just feel that it had to be exactly what she thought.
... Give me eyes to see
Just how I can be
Carrying your son when I need You
To carry me
...Should a miracle feel like an anchor
Bringing shame upon my family
This burden is too heavy
I need strength to be
A mother to a savior and king
... You said, "Do not fear"
So Lord, if you are here
Help me have the faith you have in me
Give me eyes to see just how I can be
Mother to a savior
When I need saving
Like aaaa Chills, literal chills And I love it because it doesn't occur to people how society must have seen Mary, we see it as a blessing because we know how it all ended, but they didn't know. And they lived in a very very different society, if everyone had found out, they would have stoned Mary, that is the reality that they don't talk much about at Christmas.
Another fact that I liked is that Mary had to travel, traveling in this time does not imply the same as traveling in that time, with her 9 months of pregnancy (Because she gave birth as soon as she arrived in Bethlehem) on a donkey 🙃🙃🙃🙃 I don't think I have to elaborate much, i love how they portrayed here. You can say people knew how things were, they were used to it, yes, but Maria had never been pregnant and no matter how adapted you are to something, You can't erase the physical challenge of traveling with a giant belly in those conditions.
And let's not even talk about the birth, where they were in the city that: it was full of soldiers seeking to kill her and her baby, they broadcast the news that they would be killing babies and pregnant mothers In search of finding her, which is why they did not find asylum and had to go to a stable.
I think with the idea of ☺️ ah, Jesus was born in a manger ☺️We forget that 💀 oh, Jesus was born in a manger 💀 I don't know about you, but I think that is not the ideal place to give birth And yet the representations of that are so sugar coated We literally have a song called "Silent Night" tell me, explain to me what part of giving birth where the animals and their excrement are because an entire army is chasing you trying to kill you, sounds like a peaceful night????
Another detail is that Joseph (who I am obviously going to talk about) logically had to act as midwife for Mary, because no one was with them, no one wanted to be with them, that sounds like a horror story honestly, and no, I'm not taking away from how beautiful the whole purpose of Jesus is and everything is.
I am only pointing out the facts, which are raw and very Real about a situation like this, this was the reality as it is written, the Bible leaves things out But the rawness in several acts is never lacking.
One last thing to add is that I was afraid at first that they would portray Mary as a feminist ahead (by centuries) of her time But in an annoying and very political way because of how the movie started, And that they were going to make her not want the pregnancy and make it as if they had violently forced her, thank God that didn't happen, i loved her, The actress did a tremendous job interpreting her with personality without losing the respect (that is noted in the Bible) Mary had for God and the giant task she was given, and I actually liked that twist That perhaps Mary and Joseph did not know each other before they got engaged, which would not be unusual at that time. And that Mary said at the beginning of the movie that she believed she was destined for bigger things 🙃.They give more personality to this icon that we all have of her and I love it.
-The representation of Joseph
Starting with the fact that I have a big fat crush now on Milo Mannheim thanks to him (not important at all actually)
I think everyone, whether Christian or not, knows that Joseph is a secondary character every time the story of Jesus' birth is mentioned, even invisible I dare say. And I was always curious because of how he leaves after he is born in the Bible, it is simply not mentioned again and this is why I think there is this kind of unconscious belief that Jesus only had one parental figure and that was Mary.
When this can easily be contradicted by the little information we have in the Bible; Joseph was known as Joseph the carpenter, and who ended up being a carpenter? (Flashbacks to Sabrina lmao) Jesus, No matter how holy and amazing he was, Jesus grew up having to learn things, he wasn't born knowing, and obviously Mary didn't teach him how to work with wood so it's pretty logical to think that his stepfather (idk How to call it) taught him. That even if we leave this out (which is after the birth of Jesus) Joseph was THE man ok And this is with biblical foundation, he believed Mary and decided to continue with the wedding despite how crazy it all sounded, he helped her during the trip to Bethlehem, ALONE, he had to practically attend the birth
And the film captures that so, so well, I have no words to describe how impressed and excited I was to see how they highlighted so many things that I knew because yk, they are in the Bible but I hadn't been aware of noticing before.
How difficult it must have been for him to make the decision to believe Mary (which, let's be honest, takes a lot of faith to believe something like that) To follow her, and his song, my God, his song is so good. It's perfect for showing a morally gray human decision and the way he delivered that presentation ugh I just feel from my heart that it was exactly what Joseph thought. Cause:
I'm completely torn in two
Half of me believes her,
while the other half needs proof
This was no inmaculate conception
Just the ultimate deception
Gilty to the bone we should have her stoned now
Wait don't you throw your stoned no don't yoy judge her i look into her eyes i think i love her
I just 🫠🫠🫠 Jesus Christ
You don't come out of that movie without half falling for Joseph and that's something I never imagined saying in my life lmao
It was a very human way, full of personality and commitment, to portray the character. beyond the attractiveness of both the actor and the goofy personality they gave him. They gave it this degree of seriousness and part of the story that shows very clearly what they themselves say in the film and that is that God did not choose only Mary, She couldn't do everything she had to do alone, and among those things was raising a child that was given to her overnight and that she had to carry for nine months, and that does not deviate from history even though there are those who say no, it is written but I think it needed the human interpretation for people to see it, as I feel that they need with many stories from the bible. They definitely took their liberty to create the love story and I'm not complaining, I never thought at all that there must have been a lot of love both between them and for God for them to be able to go through all of that, And I like to believe that if it was like that, the love they had for each other, because only someone who loves another person so much is willing to go through all that, cause very easily Joseph could receive confirmation from God that what Mary said was true and say well, that's not my problem, but he decided to take responsibility with her, Which shows why God chose them, so yes, it has its freedoms but I don't think it is essentially far from reality.
Herodes
O. M. GOOOOODDD.
Antonio Banderas ate with his performance because damn I could feel the arrogance, the complete pleasure that those kings had for being rich and powerful, with that man And he didn't have much screen time, despite how comical he gets at times he manages to show how dangerous Herod was.
That, they didn't show it but that man ordered babies and pregnant mothers to be killed in the end, just for fear that they would take away his throne and his power, out of complete caress. And Antonio showed a funny and iconic man but also dangerous and capable of that and, and also they gave him the best song.
And i'm not Even joking, 'good to be king' is what Disney tried (and failed) to do with "Wish", It has all the magic and that lyricism that shows rough and raw things with incredible music That sticks to you despite how bad the bad guy is, from the villain songs of Disney's 2D movies, It's at the level of "poor unfortunate souls" and the Interpretation, God It's one of the best parts of the movie, weeks go by and I still can't get it out of my head
Finally, the relationship of Mary and Joseph.
I feel that all our lives, after thousands of times telling us the story of the birth of Jesus, the relationship of Mary and Joseph never had any importance beyond their role in the birth. So I loved the representation of that here, the way they took this theme of a planned marriage, which could very easily have been a reality, Along with the human and emotional reaction that these people must have had at the time, they give life and depth to Mary and Joseph, with the pros and cons.
With how difficult it was but also how strong they must have been as a couple to carry out the huge task they had, it made me see it from a more human point of view and give more value to their relationship.
They took their liberties, there are things that are super funny and have that absurd touch, but it is a story full of a lot of respect for the source, and full of a wonderful and human interpretation of of this great story, You don't feel it is religious, because it isn't, the music isn't just there and they are all very good (something that doesn't happen with all musicals).
And it is simply beautiful, it is made with love and it shows, they took advantage of every penny of their budget and put out this piece of art that I feel everyone should see for Christmas And that I would like to tattoo permanently on my brain lmao.
Go watch it, it's absolutely worth it.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading my entire almost essay of the movie, I hope you find your Joseph in life🫶😂

Chapter 2 (part 2)
Love me Anyway ~Chappell roan

rebel!ellie x fem!reader
a/n: i just really wanted to show what happens after the "prank"
summary: you grew up religious without questions adn in summer you would get send to vacation bible school. The camp felt like prison to you, until a very interesting girl appeared.
Tumblr media
The night was very stressful, for you and for Ellie. While you couldn't sleep because guilt was eating you up from the inside, Ellie couldn't sleep because because the excitement of seeing the pastor's face kept her brain up. You'd be lying if you said you didn't regret anything, because you do. Just not enough to tell anyone.
If you could have ratted out Ellie, everyone would know that it was done out of manipulation, even if that's really not the case.
Ellie isn't manipulating you, you're just under her spell. And you're pretty sure she doesn't know anything about it, so how manipulative can it be?
This morning you got up earlier than everyone else. you hardly slept at all and only listened your heartbeat getting faster and faster. Around 4 a.m. you dozed off, but it was more of an uncomfortable half-sleep. You looked at yourself in the mirror and thought about the many years before, where you would´ve been scared of Ellie, afraid of being thrown out of camp and losing the respect of the church.
That fear still exists, but you no longer felt it in your blood, because no matter what happened you would find a place, maybe even the one where you belong. It would also be nice if Ellie would be part of this place.
After the sermon in the morning, buses arrived at the youth hostel to take you to the small town that was half an hour away. Hood River was a small town in Oregon and you visit it at least twice a year to talk to people about God. In fact, there are already many believers there, but Pastor Toby is never really satisfied with this small town, as if he has a private dispute with the pretty place.
You were still outside and waiting for the bus with Ellie and the others, when you saw the many group leader loading the candied apples into a separate car. The reality of the prank hit you again.
But Ellie calmed you down and told you and the girls about the many crazy pranks that the middle school students had pulled at her school.
She seemed to be fitting into the group more and more, changing parts and information about herself to fit into the picture and it made you a little sad to know it. Having to watch it.
Ellie is great exactly the way she is, she shouldn't have to change. In no world she should ever feel out of place.
After the trip, the organization started. The town is a bit big, but you already know where Christians live and you only go to the houses where non-religious people opened the door last year, or closed it again very quickly.
"We're taking over the lover lane and we´ll just move forward to the eugene street," announces Louisa, who has completely prepared for today.
She goes ahead with a city map and lots of candied apples in her cloth bag.
"Ellie, I have such a bad feeling about this"
"It's all good, we haven't been anywhere yet."
When you arrived on the quiet street, the mid-20-year-old explained that it would be smarter if everyone answered the doors one at a time, as it would be quicker that way.
"Does everyone know their sayings and verses?" Sometimes, Hazel seems more professional than Louisa herself.
"Yes Hazel, how dare we forget it" ellie sighs
the curly haired girl almost hisses at Ellie.
"We'll meet everyone here again when you're done with your houses."
You all split up into parts and the thought of being separated from Ellie makes you incredibly nervous.
The first house is house number 10.
The house itself looks peaceful. Blue painted, with the American flag proudly hoisted and a car parked in front yard.
You go through all the steps again.
ask if they believe in the lord
if not, try to demonstrate that god can help in every situation
help through bible verses
distribute the message of the church
deliver the (poisoned) apples
Great.
Your fist hits the brown wooden door, not too quietly and not too loud. You could see Ellie grinning in front of you and talking about God whether she really meant it or not.
“Hello?”
you quickly put on a smile.
“Hello, sorry to bother you, I’m part of the community a little further south of here and wanted to ask if you’ve already found your way to jesus?"
You notice that Christians always talk in "Not yet" Terms.
As if we expect every person to find god one day, and the ones that haven´t already are just behind in life.
How annoying it must be to have a stranger to dictate your future.
"ok sweetie i have, but i still worry daily"
That suprises you, normaly the answer is just yes or no. But this lady is ready for a whole conversation on her foot step.
"What kind of worries?"
"i always did what god told me to do and i think i did a good job, but my poor son just doesn´t follow him. I swear i thaught him better! Now he has children who don´t belive and follow jesus path and i dont want them to go to hell!"
The older woman sighs sadly, at the edge of tears.
You´re not really sure what to say to her.
"well i´m positive that god will show himself to every human at some point. Maybe that just hasn´t happened to you family yet?"
The woman turns back slightly and screams a boys name into the house.
"im sorry young lady, but my grandchild is over for the summer and i really want him to hear this"
She squeals in delight, but your blood freezes. It feels as if the child's entire future is in your hands and you briefly thought about handing out the apple now so that she would just throw you out.
"Oh God, this child! Please come in, miss."
That's not on your list of things to do, but something makes your legs wander in anyway.
You can hardly say no now.
"Just sit down, sweetie, I'll get him out of the garden for a moment."
You nod to her and turn your head around the room. Everything looks very… old and religious.
Out of respect, you take off your shoes in the hallway and see that the old woman has slippers just like your grandparents. Large, heavy leather slippers.
The house was definitely old and you wonder if maybe her husband built it. The wallpaper is new, or at least in very good condition, but the old wood on the door frame shows the true age of the house.
You hesitantly sit down on an old chair at the round dining table and peek into the old woman´s kitchen.
Overall, a beautiful house, made for a child's summer, but looks can be deceiving.
You're just staring at the little cross on the wall. For a moment you feel very watched, but you shake the anxious thoughts out of your mind and concentrate again on the here and now.
"Come on! It won't take long, darling."
A young boy sits down on the opposite end of the table, probably not older than 10.
He doesn't feel like being here. Ellie would like him.
You quickly unpack your little Bible and introduce yourself to the boy. He doesn't say anything and just stares at you silently.
His grandma snorts. "unbelieveble, his name is Marcus"
You nod slowly and realize how uncomfortable this situation is.
How are you supposed to convince Marcus, who would rather play outside, to believe in God? The fuck thinks his grandma who you are.
"Well Marcus, your grandma wanted me to tell you about how much God loves you and how much he wants you to be with him at the end of your life-"
"I don't care"
"what"
"I don't want to hear it, grandma!"
His grandmother looks at you forgivingly, but you can also see a desperate pleading.
"Young man-"
"What is that?"
You follow his, finger pointing to the floor where the basket full of garnished apples lies.
"Oh that-"
Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.
Now would actually be a good time to die, or at least to be dragged out of this house, by someone who finally realized how cursed this whole mission was from the start
"cool! can i have one"
Marcus suddenly seemed to have found his concentration and respect again. His grandmother also looks at you expectantly.
"Sure."
you slowly take out a wrapped apple, silently hoping that Ellie will breaks into the building and tells you that it's all over. You hand him the apple on a stick and just hope that he isn't hungry yet.
"What the dear lady wants to say is that you should give the lord a chance. He loves you very much and absolutely doesn't want you to end up in eternal fire for-."
You nod very slowly and stare at that damn apple. Poor Marcus. The old woman drives forward.
"What your father taught you is-"
The boy bites into the apple with a grin and it takes exactly 2 seconds until he spits it out again.
You grimace with a sigh.
"Fuck"
"excuse you!"
The Grandma stares at you in disbelief, you worry for a moment whether her old googly eyes might fall out and you imagine how she looks at her grandson like that, every day when he forgets to say amen at the end of a prayer.
Luckily for you, he also starts crying and you probably underestimated his age a bit, or he's just way too dramatic
"what's wrong honey?"
"um i need to go, have a good day"
like a reflex you get up, put your church's contact details on the table and run down the narrow, old but young hallway, put your shoes back on and run out of the house.
Summer air blows through your hair. You seem to have lost all control over your legs because you run and run and run, even when the American flag is nothing more than a small mixture of red, white and blue.
For some reason you suddenly think about a summer with oranges and ellie, another world who is so possible but yet so far away from reality, it almost makes you cry.
The many colors of the houses fly past you and you just grab your bag tighter, so that those shitty apples don't fall out and someone else has to eat them.
You don't even notice where you are until you find the roundabout who lead to the many streets.
"God.." You take a breath over and over again, resting your arms on your knees, but your lungs seem to be allergic to air because it feels like nothing is getting in.
"Hey…"
A hand on your shoulder and you jump back, a small scream leaving your lips, worried that the old lady might have followed you.
Red hair, green eyes and freckles.
Your hand is on your chest and you are breathing deeply and quickly.
Your eyes eat each other up and you are sure that you have never had such an intimate relationship with anyone else in the world.
Thank you so much for being here, for playing a role in my life and for not just being a nameless girl.
She looks at you, the sweat on your forehead and your loose shoes that you probably didn't even tie.
God, does she even know how precious she is to you?
"You scared me"
"I noticed, sorry…"
After a few moments you feel like there was enough eye contact, even though you're pushing for more, so you look away. Pay attention to anything else, the birds in the background, the lake that you can almost see from here or all those American flags.
"Sit down first, you're about to fall over"
Ellie gently grabs your hand. Your hands aren't really linked, she just grabs yours and leads you both to the side of the street, to a small bench.
"It worked, by the way. The apples taste really bad."
Ellie chuckles next to you and lets go of your hand, why does she have to do that?
"I know, a guy almost set his dog on me when he tried one. He was such a disgusting creep, who probably hasn’t showered in days and he was standing in front of me in my bathrobe."
That makes you laugh.
"Those are always the worst. They made little boy cry… he was really mean, but I still feel kinda bad. He didn’t want to listen to anything I said about god”
"Funny guy" Ellie replies and you smile shamelessly at her from the side.
Then she clears her throat and looks forward again.
"I'm sorry if I… dragged you into this. I didn't mean to force you to do anything."
You're now holding her hand, that's resting on her knee.
"You didn't force me to do anything Ellie, you gave me something I always wanted as a child"
"To make a boy cry?"
“Freedom,” you correct her, grinning.
She smiles shyly back and you watch intently as her cheeks become redder and redder. How beautiful this life is!
"Hey guys!"
as quickly as it happened, you take your hand away again and even Ellie slips a little further away from you, still red.
Kate walks down the street towards you with a weak body.
"There's something wrong with these apples"

Hey there! I really like your Faust shorts. Usually I’m nervous about requesting stuff, but I wanted to ask. Do you think maybe you could do Bard and a younger fan reader who’s been helping out at helvete for a job? He calls her “little lady,” both because she’s younger and way shorter than him lol. Maybe some of her bullies come into the shop and start teasing her, but then scary tall lanky boy comes out with the scary dog energy and scars them off? And when he sees that she’s kinda upset still about what happens he offers to let her pick out the horror movie they’re gonna watch together. Just cute platonic stuff with a smug of a crush on readers side lol
My little Lady - Faust x fem!reader

warning : alcohol, cuddling, use of a knife and gun
Info : Hi hi thanks for the request anon don't be nervous the only bad thing that could happen is a ,,No". So have fun reading this and hope you and others likes it ;)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Helvete was the place to go if you were looking for like-minded people, weirdos, crazy people, satanists or simply a distraction.
It was a store for freaks, for people who didn't want to belong in society and didn't do so. A store that was nevertheless a home for very specific people.
A home that became a place where all the freaks could meet to be just that. Freaks. It was the store where the little lady stayed, at least that's what Faust always called her.
The younger employee who initially only helped out at the weekend was now an employee and a member of the store. At first, the boys had almost laughed at her when she came in because of her size she almost seemed to still be at school.
Although this was not the case, it was an unusual view, but by the time she proved herself on the drums and especially in her knowledge of music, she had the respect of the group. Her knowledge went so far that she only had to hear one note to know which song and band it was.
A talent that the biggest of the group, Faust, found particularly amusing. When he wasn't asleep, at home or watching horror movies, he was always in the store and a friendship soon developed between the two of them.
What started with a ,,Here, let me help you" and him taking a box from her to put it on the highest shelf usually ended with an extended evening in the store where they both listened to their favorite music.
She gave him a new knife for his birthday and he gave her a pair of boots with heels. Heels that made her a little taller, but not quite enough to even come close to her.
But she loved these boots and wore them almost every day, even on the day the door to the store opened and a certain group came in. Great, she thought as she looked up from the box of new records.
It was the new print of the Venom album and many would be coming in tomorrow so she wanted to get everything ready. But when she saw exactly who was standing in the doorway, she had to stifle a frustrated cry.
,,Well, if it isn't the freak," she heard the leader of her "friends" say, and she hadn't been able to get rid of the three of them since she had left the church.
She had met the three of them at the church and when she started wearing a little more black, well, Satan always shows himself in the strangest places.
,,If you want to buy something, make it otherwise," she tried, trying to suppress the fear and discomfort in her voice. But as the three approached her, she slowly moved away, wanting to escape, wanting to stop being the victim.
,,Oh, we're buying... only the customer service isn't that good, is it, boys?" he asked and suddenly the other two began to take the records out of their packaging and smash them. Their pleas and screams to stop stopped as the oldest of the three approached them.
She pushed hard with her back against the corner and her fear showed when he slid his fingers to her earrings. ,,It would be a shame to lose it," he murmured and placed his fingers on the upturned cross earring. ,,Don't do that," she said, her voice brittle and full of fear that he would tear her earring off.
Tears formed in her eyes as she watched more records being destroyed, the pain in her ear intensifying. Before suddenly footsteps could be heard from the cellar.
They sounded heavy and the steps creaked under the older man. ,,If I were you, you go now!" he hissed and she saw the knife flash in his hand as he looked at the three of them from behind his hair. ,,And what if you don't?" one of the three asked and threw a record at the larger one.
But Faust caught it and threw it so precisely that the edge cut the little one. ,,I'm... bleeding," he said firmly and backed away slowly, while the other fled, cursing as Faust pointed the knife at him.
,,What, are you going to kill me?" the leader asked, letting go of the young woman and walking towards the taller one, who towered over him. But Faust just smirked before grabbing the smaller one by the collar and pulling him towards him.
The coldness of the knife lay against the younger man's throat. ,,Do you want to find out?" he asked and saw the fear slowly forming in his gaze as he tore himself away and ran out screaming.
Before the door closed and Faust instantly lost the creepy energy. But in all of this she felt the rapid beating of her heart, which she knew was not only due to her fear.
Perhaps she had developed a little crush on him in all this time. But above all, he had her gratitude. ,,Thank you... Faust," she said and threw her arms around him, hugging the taller one, who lifted her up with a smile and twirled around slightly.
,,Come on, little lady, pick a movie and I'll make some popcorn...no one should say you were afraid of them," he said with a grin and went into the professional kitchen before she settled into the beanbag and decided on Halloween.
Already feeling much more relaxed watching the beginning, she soon felt the bowl of popcorn in her lap. ,,I couldn't have made a better choice, little lady," he said, slapping her lightly on the arm before he took some popcorn and she leaned against him before they both enjoyed the movie together.
But inside they both knew that they would give their lives to the other. They would look out for each other...they always would.
Thoughts on a Hatchetfield/Fantasy High crossover
So, I know the odds are good that I'm sending this into a very niche void, but I also know that these fandoms overlap, so... yeah. Basically, this is a world where the Bad Kids (and I guess pretty much every character in the world of Spyre, but the Bad Kids are who we're focusing on) are seemingly normal humans living in Hatchetfield, with all the weirdness and danger it entails.
Let's get into it.
Fabian: He's a rich kid living in Pinebrook, the star quarterback of the Nighthawks, and is one of the most popular kids in school due to being rich, good at sports, and surprisingly nice---and he's dating Ragh, though that's something that's a bit on the down-low due to them worrying they'll get kicked off the team and Ragh not being quite ready to come out. Honestly, Fabian really shouldn't be tied up into the spookiness, if you take him at face value... except for the fact that both of his parents are very much tied into it. Haleriel's family has been in Hatchetfield since the beginning, and while they're not tied with the Church of the Starry Children or the Hatchetmen, they do have some serious occult connections. And Bill... well, as far as everyone knows, he's an Irish fencer who got into the big leagues, retired, and took up pirate LARPing in his spare time. All of that is true, except for the fact that he is, in fact, an actual seventeenth-century pirate who got on Tinky's bad side and wound up in 2000s Hatchetfield. Fabian doesn't know about this yet, but he will.
Gorgug: The result of a secret relationship between two Abstinence Camp junior counselors, Gorgug was originally raised in secret in Witchwood Forest until he was three, when he was found and promptly put up for adoption. By then, he was already unusually large, strong, and angry for his age, but he still found a loving home with the proprietors of Thistlespring Mechanics. Gorgug thankfully never got to the monstrous level of Lil' Gerry, and he can pass for a normal kid if you ignore his height... however, he has been homeschooled for a good portion of his life due to constantly having manic outbursts that took years to learn how to keep under control. When he finally goes to Hatchetfield High, Fabian and Ragh take him under their wing---if only because they took one look at him and realized that he'd be perfect for the Nighthawks---and Gorgug definitely begins to shine due to having friends. Still, though... you can never really get rid of how Witchwood Forest changes you.
Riz: Now, he is very much aware of all the crazy, scary, and inexplicable things that go around in Hatchetfield, to the point of becoming a paranormal investigator---YouTube channel and all. His mom isn't really sure what to make of this, but she's a cop, she's busy, and it mostly keeps Riz out of trouble. As far as he knows, his dad worked for the military, and he assumes that he died in combat (in reality, though, Pok was a PIEP agent who got killed by Blinky). Riz has a part of his paranormal investigator business that's open to him taking on cases for others, but people don't tend to take him up on the offer, and he's usually investigating strange happenings by himself. That is, until...
Fig: Unlike in canon, Fig has always known that Gilear was her stepdad, not her real dad, but she still considers him her dad---mostly because that for a good deal of her life, she grew up thinking that her real dad was a deadbeat who left her. After Gilear and Sandra Lynn get divorced, however, Fig decides to finally start looking into her biological dad... and she discovers that he didn't skip town as she initially believed, but he went missing shortly before she was born. The case went cold, and all that's known is that he was attempting to stop the Honey Festival---specifically, the pageant---before he disappeared. Fig, who's recently developed an interest in the occult, realizes that there's something sinister going on there, and she hires Riz to help her find out the truth. (Vague spoilers: Gorthalax---or, well, Gordon T. Ax---is alive, but he's been trapped by Nibbly as punishment for successfully interfering and saving the Honey Queen)
Kristen: She's essentially the Grace Chastity of this universe, just without the crazy---church girl, teacher's pet, yet actually a nice person who doesn't really realize just how messed up her parents' beliefs are. Though she doesn't know the details about the Black & White, her parents are part of a group that are descended from the original Hatchetmen, and they've taught her that anybody who has The Gift is inherently evil. Of course, Kristen has always had the power to magically heal others, and she's kept this hidden from her parents her whole life---which becomes harder as her powers start getting stronger. And then she starts having a sexuality crisis and a crisis of faith, triggered when she befriends the niece of Hatchetfield High's new guidance counselor. So, yeah, Kristen's not having a good time.
Adaine: Her family recently moved to Hatchetfield from London, supposedly because her dad's job changed. In reality, her parents are devout followers of Wiggly and the other LiB, and they know that Hatchetfield is the focal point of their power (and no, Alewyn doesn't know about this, but she does know more about the spooky stuff than she's letting on). For her part, Adaine has psychic powers similar to Hannah, right down to having Webby as an imaginary friend, but she keeps this secret from her parents... mostly due to the time when she was little and told them about Webby, and the reaction was pretty negative. On top of her powers, she's also struggling with her anxiety disorder, her gifted kid complex, and the general stress of going to a new school in a new country... so, it helps when she gets adopted by Kristen and Fig at the same time, and Webby immediately takes a liking to them both. Through Fig, she meets Riz, and then she meets Fabian at one of her parents' awful functions, and he introduces her and everyone else to Gorgug... and the Bad Kids can begin.
I've got a lot more ideas about this---mostly involving Ayda, Arthur Aguefort, the O'Shaughnesseys, and some fleeting concepts about The Seven---but that's for another post, so... yeah.
Nephite when an other follower/ omega tryed to get with us?
yandere omega cultist nephite
cw;; religion, cults, omegaverse, violence
nephite is the least physically violent of the ocs ive posted so far but that doesn't take away from how scary he can be. he's so loyal to the church he has a lot of power for an omega.
y/n: do you know what happened to him?
nephite: he received divine punishment ^.^
y/n: right. i forgot you're crazy again.
Tumblr media
nephite can't even breathe when he sees one of the slightly younger omegas flirting with you at a potluck. you're completely unreceptive to the advances of course. but he can't help but hear these words in his ears.
"alphas always prefer young omegas"
right now you were ignoring this harlot but for how long? how long before he became old and undesirable? nephite chewed his thumb nail until he broke the skin, only actually stopping because his mother pulled his hand away. she scolded him gently as she cleaned up his booboo but he couldn't look at her, he couldn't hear her. his sister noticed and teased him a little for getting so worked up over a random omega.
they were right. it was silly. he stuffed it down but he still spent the whole night attached to your hip.
it was fine.
but that omega didn't stop. if you left the house that omega would come find you and immediately start talking to you. his hands would press against your chest, his arms would wrap around one of your own, he would lean his body into you every chance he got. nephite's usually bright eyes would go dead the moment he saw the younger omega. what was he supposed to say? that filth never did it when he was right next to you, always waiting for you to be alone. and its not like it got more suggestive than just flirting. but it was driving nephite insane.
one day nephite was holding a sacred texts study group for omegas at your home. he had been so excited to be the host for this meeting, he spent the whole day making snacks for it! only to find, to his horror, that omega also arrived. you had decided to stay out of the living room while his group was going on but that just meant that horrible harlot could really get you alone! nephite had tried so hard to watch him like a hawk but he'd also gotten too into the discussion with the others. he never even realized when that omega disappeared from the group.
after everyone left he headed to your shared bedroom, excited to tell you about how it went. his hands pressed the door and his eyes immediately went dead. you were sitting on the bed with that omega, just talking. you had been showing him a book you'd been reading recently. his hand was on your knee. his shirt was unbuttoned. nephite felt dizzy, delirious with all the dark emotions bubbling in his stomach. he thought about killing that harlot right here, cutting off the filthy hands that dared to touch you.
you snapped him out of it, asking if group was over and then saying that harlot should leave. you escorted him to the door like a real gentleman. you asked him what was bothering him, if his group had gone poorly. nephite had practically tackled you into the bed, wrapping his arms around your waist and burying his head in your chest. he cried well into the night about all his insecurities and worries about you leaving him. and with every tear there was your reassuring hand in his hair, soothing him gently.
but that wasn't enough. the next day he went to confession with a pair of his frilly underwear stuffed in his pocket. he told the pastor the truth. mostly. he exaggerated the amount of adultery that harlot had really done so far. the pastor seemed to know he was being lied to but he trusted that nephite would only be bringing someone to his attention if they were a filthy sinner. the frilly underwear were icing on the cake. he told the pastor that he found them in the sinner's home along with a plan to seduce you.
they made a big show of dragging that sinner through the compound. wherever he was going he would never be coming back from. he caught nephite's eyes as he was dragged crying and screaming through the street. nephite held your arm tighter a wicked smile on his face just long enough for that foolish sinner to catch.
Every crazy thought I've had while listening to TMP
I think one of the most interesting changes between TMA statements, and the Protocol Statements we've gotten so far is how the statement givers don't really seem to be aware that anything weird is going on, and I'm wondering what's up with that.
In the original series it took until Jane Prentiss for us to here directly from an avatar, but she seemed aware that what was happening was odd, even if she accepted it, and was happy. The painting woman just seemed to understand that she could change her body, and told the therapist about it like it was totally normal.
Of course, this could be because we're now getting statements from a wider variety of places, you wouldn't go to the Magnus Institute if you didn't think that something was off, and it's possible that any random member of The Peoples Church of the Divine Host would have sounded just like the past two statement givers.
My theory though is that the entities are just more normalised in the new world, even if people aren't fully aware of it. Compare how in TMP there's a whole government branch dedicated to cataloguing the paranormal, versus TMA which had an unofficial police branch. My biggest argument for this though is how the statements are written. In TMA we learned that everyone's statements were so well written because The Eye was compelling them, and without an Archivist people were far more casual and meandering in what they said, but in TMP we have a therapy session, and random journal, both just as eloquent as directly compelled statement, as if The Eye is just always around.
The biggest argument against this is that the most casual sounding statement was the forum post of the guy who visited the actual Magnus Institute. My current theory is the the Institute was like a ground zero of entities entering the world, and so what's left behind is the remnants of the more overt entities of TMA. Red Canary doesn't speak like a statement giver because they aren't being compelled, and their pictures of graffiti won't digitise like the old entities, unlike the clearly digital therapy session we heard in episode 2.
Oystein was standing amongst his friends, hearing about what Faust did and seeing it on the news was like a wash of ice cold water being dumped over him. The shit they had been getting into since Helvete had become a thing for the black metal fans to flock to had officially crossed a line. It didn't help that he had Varg up his ass about being a poser because he hasn't been with him for all the church arson. Now he was involved and if Varg or Faust got caught up, so would he.
He walked into his apartment and started stripping out of his clothes that smelled like scorched wood. There was no saving some of the things he was wearing but he at least wanted to save his leather jacket. He shoved the clothes in a bag before jumping in the shower. He had heard the phone about 10 minutes after getting in and ran to answer it.
"Hello?" He answered out of breath.
"Hey it's me. What are you up to?" Y/n's smile came through the phone and Oystein felt a wave of relief hearing her voice.
"Well I'm currently standing naked and dripping all over the floor. You caught me in the middle of a shower." He explained.
"Haven't you heard of letting it go to voicemail?" She teased.
"Nah not for my favorite girl. What's up?" He asked towel drying his hair.
"I was just calling to see how your day was, nothing crazy. I may have sort of missed seeing you in the shop today." Y/n admitted making Oystein take a deep breath.
"Trust me, I missed seeing you too. My day was...uneventful. How was your day?" Oystein had never had a conversation with someone that felt so effortlessly normal.
"Not too hectic. I actually feel pretty good and was wondering if you would be interested in some company tonight. I'm off tomorrow-"
"Yes...a thousand percent yes." Oystein didn't hesitate and Y/n laughed.
"Okay okay, I'm out of here in about half an hour. I'll be there in a bit but put some clothes on before I get there. I don't want you putting any moves on me." She teased.
"I make no promises." Oystein looked around the apartment and knew the only thing he had to clean up was those clothes he was trashing. He tried to light a candle to get some of the charred wood smell out of the air. He ran to the corner store to grab a case of beer, some more air freshener and condoms...just in case.
By the time he had finished spraying the apartment, getting the beer in the fridge, Y/n had held the buzzer. He let her up and held the door open for her as she entered the apartment, full of smiles, a bag of food and a case of beer.
"I didn't really get you any housewarming gift so..." She held it up and he kissed her before taking it.
"I'm pretty sure you did but I'll always accept food and beer." Oystein walked the beer to the fridge as she shook her jacket off.
"Do you happen to have a shirt I could wear? I smell like work and it's driving me crazy." She asked politely and Oystein nodded retrieving one for her. She came out of the bathroom in just the shirt, her hair down and barefoot walking across the floor.
"You asked me to not put the moves on you and you come out of the bathroom like that?" She walked up to him and wrapped her arms around his waist.
"It didn't go with my work pants...sue me." She joked letting him lean down to place another, more intimate kiss on her lips, his wet hair tickling her face.
"You smell good...better than you normally smell." She smiled.
"The shower and air freshener help." Oystein let her go as they walked into his small kitchenette.
"Are you staying the night or leaving late?" He asked holding two beers in his hand. Y/n bit her lip for a moment.
"Are you asking me to stay the night?" She asked cocking an eyebrow.
"Y/n...you're always welcome to stay the night with me." She still didn't answer and he let out a sigh walking over towards her and placing the beers down.
"Y/n would you like to stay the night with me?" He asked sweetly.
"Yes I think I would." She leaned on the counter towards him and he ruffled her hair.
"I'll get the beers open, go open the food before it gets cold and gross." She walked around the counter, allowing Oystein to walk towards the coffee table. He turned the TV on and started taking the food out.
"Hey, do you have a lot of sex in your kitchen?" She asked opening a drawer to look for a bottle opener.
"What? No? Why would you-" Y/n came out of the kitchen with the box of condoms Oystein had tossed in a junk drawer. The same junk drawer that held his bottle cap opener.
"I swear, I literally just bought those tonight." Y/n laughed at his response.
"Oh so you thought you were going to get lucky huh?" She teased bringing the condoms and the beers over to the couch.
"I'll take what I can get from you Y/n. I just got you talking to me again, the last thing I want to do is run you off or not be prepared in the event you do want to do more than..." Oystein sputtered off.
"More than rubbing one out?" She smiled. He rolled his eyes and pulled her into his side. She lived to tease him. He moved his body so that she could lean against him as they ate and watched TV. Oystein hadn't felt this content in a long time, if ever. Something about having Y/n with him, being normal and just relaxing together made him feel like his life wasn't as chaotic as it usually was.
The breaking news report of the church burnings came across the TV and she chuckled.
"This shit is ridiculous. These assholes think they're doing something by burning down random churches, like that's going to do anything." She shook her head.
"Well I mean...they're clearly trying to send a message. Burn down the institution..." Oystein offered. Y/n turned her head to look at him.
"Yeah but they aren't...they're burning down old, worn out buildings. Yeah they're sacred to them but that doesn't do shit to the expensive ones that people actually frequent." She waved her hand at the TV.
"Are you suggesting the targets need to be bigger?" Oystein eyed her surprised.
"No of course not. They haven't killed anyone yet just committed arson on a multi-billion kroner organization that gets hand outs from its constituents. Fire cannot destroy the church. They're just being idiots about what is oppressing them." Oystein no longer wanted to talk about it and Y/n was picking up on that.
"I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to stress you out. I know they're trying to pin all this shit on satan worship and black metal. I'm sure that's got a few extra eyes on the shop." She rubbed his thigh comforting him and he nodded his head.
"Honestly, every day the shop is open I'm surprised. The way Varg keeps running these random neo-nazi's in and out of the black circle-" She turned the tv off and got up from the couch, holding her hands out.
"No Varg talk. Let's just go to bed and not think about all this other bullshit." Oystein took her hands, letting her pull him to his feet. He followed her to his bedroom and plopped down on the edge of the bed. She stood between his knees and let him rest his head against her torso. She rubbed his shoulders and he groaned.
"You have a lot of tension in your shoulders baby." She frowned trying to rub the knots out.
"My whole life is tension but that does feel really good." He admitted.
Without warning, she pulled his head from her body and got down on her knees in front of him. He looked at her confused but when she pushed her hands to his hips and pulling at his sweatpants, he knew exactly what she was doing.
"I thought you said you didn't want to lose your groupie virginity on my couch." Oystein chuckled.
"Well we aren't on your couch." She joked making him lean up and grab her hands.
"Y/n you don't have to-"
"Oystein, I just want to suck your cock and feel your cum in my belly. If you have objections to that, I will stop but if you don't then please...shut the fuck up." Y/n waited for him to protest some more but he was already hard from her palming at him. She freed his cock from the sweatpants and he kicked them off as she let her lips kiss the tip. His breath hitched in his throat watching her as she held his gaze. She wanted to take care of him, wanted him let himself relax and take the lead so that she could suck the tension from his body out of his cock. He let both of his hands rest on the back of her head as she started sucking him down. She raked her fingernails up and down his bare thighs as she gurgled and choked on his cock.
His breathing was loud and he tried to hold his moans to a minimum to avoid embarrassing himself but when she started to bob her head, he couldn't resist.
"Fuck just like that." He threw his head back, bucking his hips up into her mouth and listening to the sounds of her choking once more. The more her head bounced, the harder she sucked and he knew he wasn't going to last very long.
"Does it feel good baby?" Y/n pulled off and spit on his cock so she could stroke him while she spoke.
"It feels so fucking good. Please don't stop." He begged.
"I won't but I want you to cum for me. I don't want you to think about anything else, just me sucking your cock." Y/n commanded. He swallowed feeling how dry his throat was from having his mouth hang open to suck in air.
"I want you to talk to me." She waited for him to lock eyes with her before she put her lips back on him. He nodded in understanding and cupped her chin.
"You like sucking my cock? Like a good little slut? You want me to fuck your throat until it's raw?" He used some pressure on her jaw making her moan as she sucked.
"Be a good girl and swallow my cock down until you can't take it. I want to give you what you want. I want to cum down your throat so hard that you have to swallow it and let it fill your belly up." He could see her rubbing between her legs as she continued to choke and drool, spit hitting his hands as he moved from her chin to the back of her hair, grabbing a handful.
"I'm going to skull fuck you until your little cunt is soaking wet." Oystein moved his hips violently and Y/n moaned from the punishment he was inflicting on her throat until he was finally reaching the edge and cumming hard down her throat, stilling her motion with both of his hands holding her head in place. She coughed a few moments before swallowing and pulling off breathless. He pulled her from her knees and tossed her on the bed where he once sat, snatching her panties off with a tear and sucking on her already dripping clit. She screamed and trying to wiggle away from him but he had both his strong arms wrapped around her thighs, holding her in place as he pushed her to an orgasm.
"Oystein...I can't..." She tried as he pistoned two fingers into her cunt until he felt her squeezing around them. Her legs snaked up around him and he slowed his hands down, pulling them from inside of her and putting them to his mouth. His spent cock rest against her naked belly, collecting bits of his cum and her spit as she spilled out onto his bare knee that nudged against her sensitive core.
"I love you, you know that?" He pushed her hair off her face as they both tried to breathe. She looked at him surprised and he leaned down to kiss her sweetly. He didn't expect to her to say it back. He didn't want her to say it back to be honest. He just wanted her to know that she had him deeply and completely fucked for her. He could only hope that one day, she would feel the same way as he did.
Little bittersweet that this might be Fig's swan song. There's like this "six seasons and a movie" mentality that makes me feel like Senior Year is the finish line, so just stick it out for one more. But, if creatively Emily doesn't feel like she can get any more out of the character, then that's that. It's best to move on rather than force it. Or not. It's the end of her time at Aguefort, doesn't mean it's the end of her time with the Bad Kids. The school part of these characters being high schoolers only really came into play this season, so let's wait and see. Emily considered retiring Fig at the start of this season and changed her mind. It could happen again.
On to the fun stuff:
-Gorgug didn't get a last hit on Porter, but he did get a clutch assist in with a narratively satisfying move that uses his Artificer class instead of his Barbarian class, helping drive the last nail in on Porters coffin. *chefs kiss* Going out of Rage while doing it was a perfect way to twist the knife.
-Riz's kill line on KP was stone cold.
-Everyone else's contributions were valuable but none more so than the newest Bad Kid, The Lava. Taking out five major threats during the battle. What a trooper and a strong candidate for Honor Roll.
-I came around on Mary Anne too. I get why some of the Intrepid Heroes were so obsessed with flipping her allegiances.
There's a lot this season that gives a strong finale vibe, but besides that hook at the end there's another thing that keeps going unresolved. Sol and his church keep fucking around and it's about damn time they find out. I don't think Senior Year will be a full-on religious crusade, but it doesn't feel like that plot point should be off the table. And what the fuck is Kalinas deal? So she was never loyal to Cass?
I hope we don't have to wait another 4 years for the next chapter of Fantasy High to get an answer to those questions.
Fig honestly would prob go to school more if she wasn't required to so it's absolutely an Emily decision more than it is a story decision. It's hard to picture FH without her but I'm sure she'll come up with something fun if she's still feeling like retiring Fig whenever they get around to Senior Year.
I think it's arguably MORE fitting that Gorgug didn't get the last hit in and instead got him with a gadget that didn't even do damage. It's like, he got Porter and not even in a way that Porter would respect because it wasn't rageful and violent. That's gotta suck more than if Gorgug had just punched him hard and KO'd him.
The lava was just so so good. It's like when you're a warlock and technically you could do other stuff but spamming Eldritch Blast just gets you the most bang for your buck so you keep doing it. Once they figured out the lava strat, they basically had to keep using it. Lava MVP for sure.
Mary Ann being so checked out for the whole evil plot even while participating in it is so funny. Honestly, queen shit.
I really think that if Kalina is actually bad then that's a retcon from Brennan because that's never been how familiars work and Kalina did try to help them consistently throughout the season with the Spy's Tongue Curse clue. She only attacked them when she got hit with a rage crystal and that was godly interference.
I agree that there are a lot of loose ends re: The Church of Sol (Buddy, Bobby and Sandra Lynn, Helio's lack of a chosen one, Bucky's whole deal, the Helioic pantheon shakeup--how crazy is it that Cass never talks to any of her celestial sibs?). I hope that if we explore that we get to see more about the actual people of the church rather than just the gods because there was a huge god focus in back to back seasons and, as I've mentioned before, if Spyre rules mean that gods are a reflection of their followers, their followers are honestly more interesting. I can't really be mad at Sol for being what he is when his chill level is determined by Bobby Dawn and co, you know? He has limited agency as an entity. Cut out the middle man and let's chase down Bobby directly.
