We're doing valentines boxes despite the fact that we're in high school, and the most annoying part is that I love mine. Like...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I decoupaged it with playing cards, and I love it. That's so annoying; I don't want to like it bc I find the whole valentines thing so patronizing.

Some crafting advice needed: I am working on a felted plush for my sibling for the holidays. It's going to be a unicorn, but the core of the plush is carved poultry foam with wool on top. I would like to sculpt the horn with Sculpy, but I'm struggling to figure out how to attach it. I could put an o-ring at the base of the horn-like if it were jewelry—but I'm afraid that would be floppy.
I could sculpt the whole head, but I'm unsure how that would look in the end with the two different materials, and it would make the sculpture top-heavy.
i could also do the horn in the same needlefelting martial but I don't think that would look good in the end.
any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Papercraft Idea
Tumblr media
I have a ways to go to understand 3D papercrafts, and I don't eat Burger King as it is, but something about the chicken fries box looks like it has a lot of potential to be a pretty cute 3D paper chicken. Might just be me, though, idk

minecraft “lore” idea: what if the villagers have last names based on their careers (i.e a librarian’s last name could be “Bookkeeper”). When Steve meets the villagers he decides he ought to have a last name, and following the villager custom of a last name being based on what you do, he calls himself Steve Minecraft.

22 Hobbies for Adults to Try in 2024
A comprehensive list of 22 hobbies for adults to try in 2024. From fun low-cost activities to high-effort hobby ideas.
As a kid, I always found myself head down in something creative. Whether typing up Shel Silverstein-inspired poems on my mom’s electric typewriter or recreating 90’s cartoon characters with acrylic paints, I always gravitated toward the arts. Not much has changed in my mid-30’s because I still find myself creating similar things, but I also still yearn for new hobbies to try. Hobbies are a great…

Life hack from a daycare teacher: Soap added to already water soluble paint is great for kid playtime, too!!!
You can paint from either side of the window, but you gotta remember to mirror anything if you’re working on the inside.
(Including colors: if you want to do a face, for example, paint the features first then the skin tone. That way the features are visible on the outside.)
(Tip for letters from the inside: Print your words, cut out a roughy stencil, paint the basics so it’s legible outside, fill in the details to make it pretty!!!)
And yes, you can get as creative and detailed as you’re willing to commit to!
(Painting on the inside of the window also protects against damage from the elements, including rain/snow)
Hi! I know you're busy but I was wondering if you can explain how to decorate window glass using soap to make holiday scenes?
It's tempera paint (from the dollar store) with some liquid dish soap mixed in.
