The CMAs and the Grammys. Lemonade losing AOTY and the CMAs backlash did a number on her. She did her research, and it paid off and it shows
I can’t wait for the reactions of the people if Beyonce gets nominations in the country music categories for the Grammy Awards in next year

Nobody I follow listened to the new Beyonce album but I saw you post abt it! I wanted to know if you had a fave track? Mine was YA YA but I also rly liked DAUGHTER and BODYGUARD. I was surprised the album was so long but I rly like it. Sorry for rambling lol. I hope you have a good day!!
I love this album, too. It’s such a vibe. Reminds me of when my hood ass used to sneak and listen to artists like Jewel and Brett Young back in the day, so this has me living!!! 🤠🤣
And yes! Sis really gave us a 27 song tracklist, but my favorite tracks are:
BLACKBIRD
TEXAS HOLD ‘EM
BODYGUARD (‘Bout to be a summer jam)
JOLENE (What a great cover)
SPAGHETTI (Ayye!!!)
II MOST WANTED (Duet of the year)
LEVII'S JEANS
YA YA (Shout out to my queen Tina Turner)
RIIVERDANCE (Bounce on that sh*t dance)
TYRANT

rating music pls dont hate me #23 | cowboy carter - beyoncé
beyoncé said "fuck it yeehaw" and dropped a country album.
but this is honestly not unexpected, as we can see from the 'renaissance' album released in 2022. cowboy carter is the second installment of her three-act project, the first act being 'renaissance'. just like act i, beyoncé explores decades of history in the country genre, kind of like a reformation. this album features many country stars like dolly parton, willie nelson, and linda martell, but didn't explicitly sang in the tracks, mostly in spoken words during interludes or track intros.
beyoncé's 'cowboy carter' is an amazing tribute to the country legends, especially for linda martell. the guestlist contributes to the album too. boy do i love harmony on country guitar melodies, its kind ethereal yk. the track transition, just like act i, made the whole album.
ok i admit now that country music is good. its just that i never in my lifetime did i expect that i would listen to dolly parton... because of beyoncé at least. anyways dolly p is mother.
best track: ii hands ii heaven - ascension to heaven amen.
tracks that i rec listening: 16 carriages, my rose, bodyguard, daughter, alligator tears, ii most wanted, flamenco, ya ya, desert eagle, riiverdance, tyrant, sweet ★ honey ★ buckiin', amen.
worst track: levii's jeans - bland just like post malone.
overall score 8.5/10 - this is all opinion so pls no hate
listen to it here:

WHEW yall i’m really getting through my media to do list today🙌🏾 I sat and listened to all of Cowboy Carter and while I probably wont listen to the whole thing again, it was a superb album!
The songs that WILL get replayed are: American Requiem, Blackbiird, 16 Carriages*, Protector, Texas Hold ‘Em, Bodyguard, Jolene, Ya Ya, Riiverdance, Sweet Honey Buckiin’
*I truly dont know what it is about this song, but I definitely have a new cry song🥲i just feel the tears forming as i hear the beginning
Again i’m excited for the final act and the goal is to hopefully get to see her in all her glory in person!

But they were ok when Justin Timberlake and Gwyneth Paltrow was singing up there
what's more infuriating is the fact that country music, rock & roll were created by black people!! & they have THE NERVE to want to & try to snub & shun US from participating?? absolutely infuriating. I hope she & others make them even more BIG MAD & keep doing it over & over!! CMAs you will crumble
And I just want to know right NOW WHO THE FRUCK CALLED HER THAT???? Drop the names and the hive will take care of the rest

All of these people witnessed freaking history and all they could do was turn their nose up in disgust as if it’s shameful that a black woman is performing country music. I hope all of them get the karma they deserve when she dominates the country music scene and inspire a lot of black artists to be country musicians while also highlighting black country musicians as well even those who are criminally underrated
