i reread my old Naesala/Micaiah fic tonight... man what a good ship:

Naesala does manage a hunt, him and the handful of ravens left in his retinue. Just a few gangly, rawboned bucks, but it's better than nothing. “I didn’t even have to lift a talon,” Naesala announces with something like pride after he dumps the carcasses at Micaiah’s feet. “Just chased them into an ice creek and followed them until they froze to death, the poor dumb beasts.” Micaiah stares at one of the bucks—his eyes glassy in death, with icicles clinging to his every tuft of fur, his mouth lolled open in a silent bellow. She had thought that Naesala had snapped their necks, had thought their deaths were bloodless as a matter of efficiency, maybe even kindness. She wishes she were still able to think that. But Sothe only shrugs, and directs a few passing soldiers to start gutting the deer for meat. So it must be alright. This is a war; they have an army to feed; how the deer died hardly matters. She forces herself to shrug, too. But what she can't shrug away is the raven king's shadow, which continues to loom over her during every ambush. What she can't shrug away is his gaze, which lingers on her overlong during councilmeetings, during campfires—is it her imagination? she wonders, and can't be sure. He always looks away right when she looks at him.

The City of Brooksville is now accepting applications from individuals interested in volunteering their time to serve as a member of the following advisory board or commission. City of Brooksville Announce Charter Review Committee Vacancies Per the Brooksville City Charter, every six years, the City Charter must be reviewed.Seven committee members, who must be City residents, will be appointed in January 2024, tobegin review of the Charter. Those findings will be reported to City Council at the first Councilmeeting in May 2024. Norway to prioritise women, peace, security at Security Council meet

This is the form I will usually take at councilmeetings, sitting on a tall stool. In it I am about 2 feet tall, and have roughly the anatomy of a regular frog.

My other forms include being the size and shape of a normal frog (I am the species Dryophytes versicolor), humanoid at 6'2" with a mix of human and frog anatomy, and whatever form I was before being enchanted by the fae, which is inaccessible to me.

I had to go to a Council meeting recently, which was in what I can only describe as a sauna, but without the bikini/cool swimming pool/general holiday vibe sadly! The Council

Meet the Council.  The Council consists of (5) members and are tasked with decision-making and protecting Pinnacle City. They're a diverse group with differing ideals. It's not uncommon for them to butt heads, but when it comes down to it they always make a decision. There are concerns with some members' ties to certain enterprises clouding their judgment. Council members live in The Districts and are heavily guarded.

Note: Names and face claims can be swapped up, but must remain the same race. 

Council Members Khalid Nassar • Mahesh Jadu • Open

50s • He/him. Khalid Nassar is a member of the Nassar family, one of the remaining founding families of the City State. The Nassar's are one of the most influential families within the city and are intricately woven into the communities of Pinnacle City. The Nassar family owns and operates Nassar INC, a tech giant who has spearheaded humanity's advance into the age of Etherium. Due to his position on the Council, Khalid does not own or work within Nassar INC in order to avoid any conflicts of interest. Khalid is a stern, whip-smart, and calculating man but has a wicked streak. He strongly supports efforts on the war front as resources are thinning and believes he is doing his best to help citizens. Khalid opposes Variants, believing they are a serious internal threat.

X Hernández-Garcia • Oscar Isaac • Open

40s • He/him. X Hernández-Garcia cares for one thing above all else - the safety of his husband and daughter. What's good for Pinnacle City is good for his family. He is a supporter of Khalid Nassar and supports the war for resources. He opposes the Variants due to the dangers they pose.  

X Kealoha • Jason Momoa • Open

Late 30s-Early 40s • He/him. X Kealoha is a middle of the road politician. He is often considered the swing vote. X Kealoha listens to all sides of an argument before drawing his conclusion and has a very "convince me" attitude.

X Natatok • Beatrice Deer • Open

Late 30s-Early 40s • She/her. X Natatok is level-headed and looks at the big picture. She believes in animism and her opinion is that all life is precious. She is diplomatic in her politics and has earned respect from her peers. While not vocal, she is against the war and violations against Variant's human rights. She uses her influence subtly to make progress.

X Jones • Amandla Stenberg • Open

25 • They/them. X Jones is the newest and youngest member of the Council who was recently sworn in. They are loud and proud about being adamantly against the war. They are an advocate for Variants and maintaining their Human Rights. X Jones is often looked down upon by others in the Council because of their age and lack of experience. X Jones respects and admires X Natatok as they share common ideas.
