its probably because of all the fairytale ouran things ive been drawing but a medieval castle ouran au has been fresh on my mind. tamaki is the lord. kyoya is the steward. the twins are jesters (or maybe hikaru is a jester and kaoru is the chamberlain?) mori is the marshal. honey is a page (despite not being a child). haruhi is still a commoner
for a reason i havent thought of yet, haruhi ends up in the castle and talks to the lord and everybody else. she gets freaked out and a very expensive vase is broken that she cant pay back, so she ends up having to work as a scullion. however, she is barely making a dent in her debt that way, and also tamaki really likes her, so she ends up being made his valet. after this, tamaki finds out she is a girl, but in order for her to keep her role as his valet, she has to hide her gender. holy shit
#im not a writer#if none of this makes sense i apologize#i know nothing about anything#i just really wanna draw them in cool outfits#could i make them all just be wealthy like in ouran?#yeah#but that would be BORING#ouran high school host club#ohshc#random things

Being the Unofficial Gardener of the Ouran High School Host Club Headcanons
anonymous said: âHi! I've read your rules and i really like the ohshc thing you did so I'm going to request if that's ok? this is like an Oc without a name, Reader is the quote and unquote gardener of the host club. ( i cannot believe they just don't have a supplier when they use that many flowers i mean c'mon) Their grandpa owns a successful business selling flowers. Reader's grandpa raised them, Thats because readers mom died giving birth to them and readers dad died of cancer. (Reader used to get bullied for this since all the other kids at school thought their grandpa was going to sell them). Reader kind of has this standoffish personality. but just doesn't know how to communicate properly when you get to know them, they're actually really goofy.â
Itâs true, the host club could never function without a reliable flower supplier. And lucky you, your grandfather happened to own the most successful flower business in the country. Thatâs how you were able to afford going to Ouran Academy.
The partnership began during your first year there. You shared a few classes with Kyoya, but you were never very close with him because of his intimidating family background.
He was also a bit intimidated to talk to you because of your closed off personality, and the rumors that had been going around about you being bought from your parents by a strange old man for garden labor didnât help.
However one day, he decided to listen in on a conversation you were having with one of your friends. You were talking about a great sale your grandfather had made to supply flowers for a government ceremony.
He immediately felt guilty for falling victim to vicious gossip, but connected the dots about your family quickly. And of course, that got the gears in his head turning.
He was still in the early planning stages of founding the Host Club with Tamaki, and securing a trustworthy flower supplier was something they had been worried about
So, being the strategic communicator he is, he smoothly approached you and invited you over to the Ootori residence for a cup of tea
You were shocked that someone with such high status as him was interested in associating with you, but as soon as you realized it was a business proposition, you opened up a bit more
You were happy to get your grandfather another customer, especially one as wealthy as Kyoya, and soon you were making plans on what flowers and what arrangements he wanted
Fast forward to now, youâre both second years and the Host Club is thriving, you almost canât keep up with the amount of flowers they go through
Most of the work you do is behind the scenes, so you didnât really get to interact with any of the other club members
That was, until one day when your grandfather asked you to make a delivery to the club with a huge batch of flowers so he could attend a business meeting
You were nervous, but agreed anyway. Luckily there werenât any guests in the music room yet, just the club members
Immediately a gush of rose petals blew in front of your face, and the sight of six handsome guys greeted you
You just stood there like a deer in the headlights
Tamaki was the first to approach you, taking your hand in his and kissing the back of it
âAh, what a beautiful blossom thatâs bloomed before us as our first guest today. Would you do me the honor of telling me your name, my princess/prince/ noble?â
âY/N?â a voice suddenly asked. You both looked over to see Kyoya entering the room, surprised to see you but not at all displeased.
âYou know each other?â Tamaki gasped.
âYes, this is Y/N Y/L/N. Theyâre the grandchild of our flower supplier. Itâs all thanks to them that we have enough flowers for all our events.â
All the guys immediately started crowding you, asking you a million questions at once.
You were a little overwhelmed, but just smiled politely and answered all their questions.
âYouâre so lovely, itâs a wonder I havenât seen you around the academy before.â Tamaki smirked, flirtatious as always.
âWell, I tend to hang out in the shadows. Back in middle school everyone made up rumors about me and it made me a bit of a loner.â you explained with a shy chuckle.
âYeah, I heard your parents went bankrupt and sold you to their old loan shark to get out of debt.â Hikaru commented nonchalantly.
âYeah, and I heard youâre an indentured servant who has to do hard physical labor everyday after school.â Kaoru added.
Tamaki immediately turned around and scolded them, waving his arms and yelling at them to be more polite in the presence of a lady/ gentleman/ noble.
âItâs okay Tamaki, Iâm used to them all by now.â you chuckled. âMy parents actually passed away when I was younger and left me in the care of my grandfather.â
âY/N-chan, do you help grow the flowers too?â Honey asked excitedly, gazing up at you with huge eyes.
âYes, I do actually! My grandfather taught me everything he knows about gardening, and itâs something I really enjoy doing!â you responded.
âWow. Thatâs cool.â Mori said flatly. Although you could tell it was sincere.
âWhy havenât you introduced us to them before, Kyoya-senpai?â Haruhi asked, turning to the vice-president.
âI didnât mean to keep them from you, there was just never an avid opportunity. But I suppose now is a good a time as any to make the introduction.â Kyoya answered, adjusting his glasses and turning towards you. âY/N, meet the Ouran High School Host Club.â
They each went down the line telling you their names and types, which was quite entertaining. You had heard of the clubâs popularity but never gotten around to visiting them.
âIâm sorry we go through so many flowers. It must be difficult to grow so many.â Haruhi said sympathetically.
âOh itâs no strain on the business, I actually tend to most of your clubâs stock personally so that my grandfather can focus on his other sales.â you reassured her. âHowever, I do sometimes wish I could grow more plants. I could probably run an entire garden just for the Host Club!â
Tamakiâs eyes immediately lit up. âY/N, thatâs a marvelous idea!â
âHm? Oh no, I was only jokingâŚâ you laughed nervously.
âActually, that might be a useful investment.â Kyoya began, placing his fist under his chin in thought. âIt would be nice to have our own garden and not have to worry about business transactions.â
âSenpai, Y/N canât grow us an entire garden for free!â Haruhi exclaimed. You were touched that she was immediately on your side.
âDonât be silly, weâll pay them an adequate salary.â Kyoya told you. âAnd of course a small share will be given to their grandfathers business as a courtesy.â
âI want to grow lots of pink flowers!â Honey cheered, jumping up and down in excitement.
âThink of all the schemes we could pull with a whole garden of flowers at our disposal!â the twins beamed in unison, joining hands and twirling around.
âI can see it now⌠lush bushes of roses and hydrangeas, hanging branches of cherry blossoms and orchids, cobblestone paths lined with lillies and tulips!â Tamaki declared, striking a grand pose at the center of the room. âGet ready men, because soon the Ouran Host Club will have a brand new garden!â
You looked around at all the chaos unfolding before you. Kyoya was already typing up a budget on his computer, Mori was chasing Honey around the room as he threw handfuls of rose petals in the air, and Haruhi just stood there with her head in her hands.
âI had to make a joke, didnât IâŚâ you sighed to yourself.
While you were initially overwhelmed at the daunting prospect of creating an entire garden, it turned out to not be so bad. Kyoya handled most of the property scouting and landscaping with his endless business connections. You were pretty much just in charge of picking what flowers to grow and taking care of them.
And so, everyday after school, you would go to the new garden behind the building and tend to your flowers :) Your grandfather was very happy that you were making friends and spending less time at the business
Haruhi would usually come by to help you water the plants when she needed to sneak away from the chaos of the club
She loved your chill personality, and you always made her laugh and forget her stress in a second :)
You had your suspicions about her gender from the beginning, but you never really cared. You didnât really see people as labels, just who they where on the inside. It was this mindset that actually made her comfortable enough to confide her secret in you!
Honey would sometimes come by and bring you some cakes that were leftover from the club activities, and youâd sit on a swing and eat them together <3
Sometimes he would bring Mori along, and while you were a little shy around him, you were happy to see that he was also interested in your gardening. He would often ask you what different flowers symbolized, and what kind of care certain flowers needed
The twins would come by to gather flowers for their various schemes, and would often encourage you to take a break and have some fun with them!
The three of you would run around the gardens, playing tag and hide and seek until you were all so tired you were sprawled out in the grass, panting and laughing wildly
Kaoru was happy to see Hikaru finally opening up to someone, and would sometimes try to give the two of you space to talk by yourselves
Hikaru could listen to you talk about flowers for hours and never get bored. He also liked to tuck them behind your ear, smiling at how pretty you looked <3
Tamaki always seemed to be busy tending to his numerous princesses, but every once in a while he would come by to thank you for making this all possible
And of course, he couldnât help but flirt with you a bit :)
âAll these gorgeous blossoms⌠and yet none of them compares to your beauty, my dear.â
You wouldâve fallen for him had you not been so smart
Kyoya was probably the one you saw most often, as he was the one you knew the longest and the one who planned out most of the garden
He was always making sure you had enough equipment and starts, and discussing new arrangement ideas with you
âAre you sure itâs not too much work for you, Y/N?â he asked sincerely.
âOh itâs not too bad, itâs not like Iâm working myself to the bone.â you reassured him. âI mean yeah, it would be nice to have some help, but it would have to be from someone who understands gardening.â
âWhy donât you start a gardening club?â he proposed.
You jaw unhinged in shock. âOh Kyoya, thatâs a wonderful idea, but I donât know the first thing about starting a club.â
âI do, and I can help you. I founded this club after all.â he smiled, adjusting his glasses.
After a few weeks of paperwork and meeting with the school board, you became the president of the Ouran High School Gardening Club :)
The guys were all so proud of you, they decided to host a ball in your honor!
You were hesitant at the idea, still a bit self conscious of all the rumors that had been spread about you in the past
But after much convincing, you agreed. The twins even got you a custom ball outfit from their motherâs fashion line!
Tamaki took his place at the foot of the staircase to greet all the guests, making your heart beat out of your chest from behind the double doors.
âWelcome princesses, princes, and nobles of Ouran Academy! Thank you so much for attending this ball in celebration of the founding of the Ouran Gardening Club! The president of this club is someone that the Host Club is very close with. In fact, if it werenât of them, there wouldnât be a single rose petal at any of our events. Please join me in welcoming Y/N Y/L/N!â
You then made your entrance, a light downpour of rose petals floating around you as you descended the staircase <3
You looked around to see everyone cheering for you and smiling at you admiringly. You started wondering why you ever retreated into the shadows in the first place. It was almost enough to bring a tear to your eye.
Halfway through your decent, you looked down to see all seven members of the Host Club holding a bouquet of your favorite flowers! They must have asked your grandfather what they were ;)
As you reached the bottom of the staircase, the applause ended. Then, all the guys held out their bouquets to you with warm smiles.
âThank you for being our gardener Y/N!â

HELLO HELLO!! I HAVE AN OURAN REQUEST- SRRY IF IT'S TOO SPECIFIC OR HARD TO READ
COULD YOU PLEASE DO THE HITACHIIN TWINS AND KYOYA WHEN THEY MEET HARUHI'S CHILDHOOD FRIEND, BUT THEY HAVE A DEEPER VOICE THAN HER AND ACTS A LIL MORE GHETTO (DIFFERENT LINGO, DRESSES MORE MASCULINE) AND THEY ASSUME THAT THE READER IS EVER POORER THAN HARUHI- (also if you don't mind, could you make the reader hispanic?) HEHEH THANK YOU QUERIDA! <33
Hitachiin Twins and Kyoya with a s/o who seems poorâŁď¸
Warnings: none that i can think of
A/n: HELLO!!!
I plan to start writing for Ouran High School Host Club as well and I couldnât help myself but answer this a little early hehe ngl slightly nervous to post this-
I hope you enjoy and feel free to request for Ouran when my requests are open again!<3
- This is the first thing the twins ask you
- With a straight face they asked you if you were more broke than Haruhi
- Haruhi would get mad at them for being rude
- They will bring up your outfit and say something like âOnly a commoner would wear thatâ
- They also questioned why you act more masculine than feminine
- You were boyish clothes, you have a deep voice
- They wouldnât understand it at all
- And if you arenât a commoner, they will be even more confused
- You choose to dress like this?!
- Of course, any friend of Haruhiâs is a friend of theirs as well
- Even tho Haruhi would highly recommend to ignore them
- They will both take interest in you fast
- They donât mind your style but they will definitely tease you for it
- Lots of jokes about you being poor
- Jokes about you being from the ghetto as well
- If itâs getting too personal, tell them, they mean no harm by it
- Kaoru will stop right away if you donât like it but it might take Hikaru more time to stop this habit
- Despite Hikaru having the hardest time to stop these puns, he will be the first to defend you if someone else is making them
- Even if you donât find it offensive, Hikaru will still call the person out on it
- These two boys will defend you if needed
- These two are soft for you
- Kyoya thought it
- Didnât say it out loud, but definitely thought it
- Kyoya would try and see what he can find on you (ngl like a stalker) so he can learn more about you
- If you do come from a wealthy family, he will be shocked by this
- He wouldnât think that just because you were childhood friends with Haruhi, you would be poor
- But they way you dress didnât seem to wealthy
- He would brush it off, considering it your style
- He has no problem with it if you wanted to dress more masculine
- He actually quite likes the style on you!
- It suits you well
- If you like it, he does as well
- He would look deeper into your style and culture, hoping it will share more of your interests and such
- Once you two get closer, deeper research (Iâm trying to make this sound as non stalker-ish as possible-)
- Even if you arenât rich, he wouldnât want to mess anything up with you
- He will take mental notes on your interests, hobbies, and really anything you do
- He knows you best out of all the host club members
- He wouldnât make too many jokes about your appearance, he probably wouldnât even mention it
- Appearance doesnât define a person
- If someone does make a rude joke about your appearance he will comment on the person
- If they stepped into music room 3 once, he already knows a lot about the person so he wouldnât mind getting personal
- Hes a sweetie

kyouya for the question thingy
MY SON!!! gladly :))
1.) I know this one is implied to be canon, but Kyoya doesnât take any of the Ootori companies and ends up starting his own. I just love it for him.
2.) Kyoya went to Harvard instead of Ouran University.
3.) If Kyoya ever became a father, he would only have one child so that there would be no question of whoâs inheriting his company.
4.) Piggybacking off the last one, he would be a very involved dad. If Ouran doesnât have a PTA, he will start one.
(Last two have me wanting to write the Dad!Kyoya fic)
5.) Kyoya was a leash kid. He could and would wander if you took him out of the house. Thatâs why the body guard to child ratio for him is 3:1.
6.) His favorite video game is The Sims, but only because he likes building the houses. He doesnât do anything after that.
7.) The Ootoris are native ďżźOkinawanďżźďżź.
8.) Kyoya was 100% an accident and everyone in the family knows except him.
9.) The older Ootori siblings are close in age, and then Kyoya is nine years younger than his nearest sibling. That being said, They forget to include Kyoya in sibling meetings all the time because some of them (Yuichi) still think heâs like⌠twelve.
10.) The Ootoris are new money and have only been wealthy for about two generations.
11.) Kyoya and Kuze dated and it went terribly.
12.) Kyoya has called Tachibana âDadâ on accident before and tried to pretend it never happened.
13.) Kyoya has two of every social media, one for public viewing and one for his regularly scheduled teenage bullshit.
14.) While the were in Boston, Kyoya and Haruhi became obsessed with American movies and had weekly movie nights where they were the only ones who wanted to attend. Their favorites are Dead Poets Society and Legally Blonde.
15.) Kyoya cannot remember anyoneâs birthdays. He just has an Amazon gift card on hand at all times in case he picks up the vibes so he doesnât look like a complete ass. This applies to everyone equally.
16.) If he were American, he would have a southern accent. I will not back down.
17.) Kyoya is autistic but itâs undiagnosed. It gets brought up by his therapist when heâs 20, but he figures getting a diagnosis probably isnât gonna do much for him now so he just⌠stays undiagnosed.
18.) Kyoya is a cat AND dog person. He likes both equally, but everyone just assumes he likes cats more.
19.) Kyoya had terrible luck with dating in college because he had no idea how casual dating works.
20.) While in America, he would get daily phone calls from his siblings to try and âsecretlyâ make sure he hadnât died or gone missing. They all have very little faith in his ability to do things unsupervised and they all tell him so with varying levels of politeness.

đHikaru + Tease Crushđ
Summary: Aaaa idk tsundere hikaru brain go brrrrrr,.
A/N: Lowkey, Iâm not too sure about this one. But, how good it is comes down to how well itâs received by you guys. Itâs in your hands now tumblr!!
\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
đHikaru Hitachiinđ
You, a new second year at Ouran Middle School, happened to meet Hikaru and Kaoru in a once in a blue moon situation
â¨Separatelyâ¨
You and your parents were commoners from another region of Japan. But, due to trying times, you were sent to live with your impossibly wealthy grandparents to finish your education while your parents got back on their feet
So, you clearly had no idea how to navigate what felt like the worldâs biggest campus
Taking initiative, you decided to take a free period to mentally map out at least the middle school campus. You were not about to be late to every single class again, lest you start getting detention
You were somewhere near the courtyard when you heard soft, delicate sobs from around the corner, followed by fast footsteps leading away from you
You quickened your pace to at least see what was going on, and the scene you walked in on told you everything you needed to know
The sobs were coming from a girl in your year, who seemed eager to get away from the courtyard. And leaning on the pillar on the bend, was a tall redhead who looked far too satisfied with himself. At least if your assumptions were correct
You decided not to go off on the boy right away, so you wouldnât embarrass yourself
âAh...Did I intrude on something?â
The boy apparently hadnât noticed you until you said something, but quickly regained his composure
âNah, you had good timing. We were just finishing up.â
â...We?â
Hikaru suddenly remembered
You were new to Ouran. And at this point, you probably havenât memorized faces yet. Even if they were identical
That, and the fact that Kaoru was still behind a bush watching everything play out, was enough for Hikaru to try something new
âMe and that girl you saw, I mean.â
âYeah, alright. Whatâs your deal with her, by the way? She didnât sound too happy.â
Hikaru shrugged, âDishonesty, disloyalty, stuff like that. I just gave her a piece of my mind and she couldnât handle it.â
âHm, I figured she couldnât. Sheâs crying pretty hard.â
âThen she shouldnât have been trying to sneak around with other guys.â
Alright...you halfway understood the guy. If you were in his shoes, youâd at least want to do something similar. But, going out of your way to emotionally decimate someone that clearly isnât worth your time? Seems a little excessive
âBut, hey,â you thought. âTo each their own.â
You kept your composure around the boy, shrugging and turning to walk away. âI get that. What did you say your name was?â
âMm? Hikaru.â
âHikaru. If that girlâs really as horrible as you say she is, I think itâs hilarious that youâd give her pathetic ass the time of day.â
That jab technically wasnât aimed at Hikaru, but the way you said it. The way you turned back slightly to flash a shit-eating grin at him. It was clear your comment was meant to say more about Hikaru than the girl he told off
In short, Hikaru ended up not liking you
Meeting Kaoru went a bit more smoothly
Since you were in Class B at the time (you were to transfer to Class A next semester), you didnât actually gather that the asshole you met the other day had a whole brother. So, that case of whiplash was particularly strong
During a lunch period within the same year, you decided to sit alone. Nothing personal really, but being around twenty-four other kids your age with such a high amount of tunnel vision gets suffocating at a certain point
Not too far away, Hikaru had gotten up to use the bathroom, leaving Kaoru to his own devices for a bit
It wasnât long before he found a familiar face in you, sitting alone and looking rather bored
Of course, Kaoru hadnât personally talked to you yet. The only things he heard about you were from Hikaru, which still wasnât much, considering that his brother seemed too embarrassed and pissed to say anything beyond:Â âTheyâre an asshole. Theyâre not worth talking to.â
But, regardless of Hikaruâs first impression of you, Kaoru thought it would be fun to mess with you for a bit
Iâm fully convinced you have the eagle eye, because you noticed Kaoru before he even said anything
âIf youâre still pressed about what I said the other day, Hikaru, trust me, I was just messing with you.â
Damn at least let him speak đ
Kaoru noticed that even though you thought he was Hikaru, your posture and tone held no animosity. You seemed relaxed, even sending a half smile Kaoruâs way
Your aura felt overall likable, so what could you have said to Hikaru to tick him off so much??
âOh, donât worry about it. I actually almost forgot about that.â
Immediately, something didnât click with you
âYou sound different today, man. Everything okay?â
...What??
Kaoru wasnât sure how you figured it out, but no one was usually able to tell the difference between his and Hikaruâs voices and speech patterns, period. Let alone upon hearing both twins once separately
âWhat do you mean...? Iâve always sounded like this?â
âHm, must be a bad case of laryngitis then. Howâs your twin doing, by the way?â
Kaoruâs expression didnât betray much, but your knowing and lighthearted smile sure did
He originally wasnât going to tell you the whole truth. But, you seemed like youâd be too much fun (given some time) to pass up getting on your good side!
It almost felt strange, inviting someone else into his and Hikaruâs little world. But, even if you were just a toy for now, you were someone Kaoru wanted to keep aroundÂ
Kaoru introduced himself with his real name while he explained his relationship with Hikaru, and your face was priceless
Sure, you knew that the boy in front of you wasnât acting like the Hikaru you met a few days back. But, the twin brother thing was a complete shot in the dark!!
But, Kaoru laughed and dragged you and your lunch to his and Hikaruâs table
Ooh, when I say Hikaru was NOT thrilled??
He was seething when you gave him that same look as before
âHey there, Heartbreaker. Nice to see you again.â đđđđ
Hikaru flushed as Kaoru tried to hide his giggles behind his hand
Yeah, that kind of sums up your dynamic đ
From then on, whenever you were around the twins, you drove a clear wedge in their âidenticalâ personalities. Just by the fact that you treated them both differently
Kaoru was your partner in crime, playing along with your jokes and often taking more agency in making decisions than usual. You were both mature, yet mischievous, so you were often on the same page
We stan compatible friends đđ
Hikaru...was kind of your sentient punching bag
From your first conversation with him to now, you gathered that Hikaru had a weirdly prominent petty streak, with some emotional constipation on the side. All of this, manifesting in a semi-childish, stubborn mess with a hair-trigger temper (At least, when it comes to you and Kaoru poking at him)
You werenât exactly intent on improving those flaws (Since itâs technically not your job to fix the vices of others), but you most certainly let Hikaru know that those qualities werenât something to be proud of. Especially when he let them get the better of him
And you did just that by teasing the hell out of him
âAww, is little Hikaru upset that Italian isnât being served at lunch today??â
âOoh, donât get too angry! You might pop a vein.â
âYâknow, youâd think a normal human being wouldnât blush as much as you do. Are you really that bothered by me?â
Yes! He was!
He felt bothered and threatened because you dragged out every single flaw that no one (not even Kaoru) dared to call out until now. Not that he could give a name to that feeling an the moment
You were surprisingly clairvoyant for someone that strategically abused that fact. You always had an upper hand, and that wasnât something Hikaru was used to
But, after a while, his frequent showcases of embarrassment began happening for a different reason
In between all of the teasing, you were never downright mean to Hikaru. You were just as nice to him as you were to Kaoru
Hikaru often enjoyed the bentos you made the twins on random days (Though, he failed to admit it on a regular basis)
When the teacher was going a little too fast, youâd always let Hikaru copy off of your notes
And man, you sure did look good at the beginning of the day...when the morning sun lights up your eyes, and-
Oh...
Oh no.
So, thatâs why every time youâd get on Hikaruâs case, he would get flustered and look away. He liked you??
Hikaru canât let anyone know about this. Especially you.

(Ouran high school)âHaruhi x Fem!Reader
"Come on Y/n the host club will be fun. I set an appointment with a cute boy named Haruhi," Bella said as she dragged Y/n to the music room.
"Fine, but can we make this quick, I wanted to try out my skateboard," Â Y/n groaned as Bella pushed open the doors.
Rose petals blew past them as multiple men stood waiting to greet them. Bella's face was beet red, while Y/n just stood with an unimpressed face as she pulled out her phone. Bella quickly dragged her to a table with a cute looking boy with short brown hair and brown eyes. Bella babbled away with the "boy" Haruhi, while Y/n just mindlessly poked her cake.
"Bella oh I'm sorry I have to cut my appointment short my Father came early, but have fun talking with Y/n," Bella said as she dashed out of the club room.
"Wait, what?!" Y/n asked as she looked up from her phone.
The two sat in awkward silence, till Y/n spoke up.
"So Haruhi, why are you apart of a boys host club when you're a girl?" Y/n asked bluntly.
Haruhi just stared in shock, She stuttered as she tried to come up with some excuse.
" if it's a touchy topic you don't have to answer, I could just leave," Y/n suggested.
"No, no it's fine. I'm surprised you were able to pick up on that so fast," Haruhi laughed nervesly.
"I can tell when another girl is in a boy's uniform, just have sharp instincts. Don't worry I like the boy's uniform too," Y/n smiled as she leaned back in her seat.
"You wearing the male's uniform cause you like it?" Haruhi asked.
"Yeah, I think the girl uniforms look terrible," Y/n whispered with a giggle, " What about you?"
With a sigh, Haruhi recapped how she got into this club, what she had to put up with, and all the crazy adventures up till this point. Y/n listened closely as she took in all of Haruhi's stories and mini-rant tangents, all with a kind smile.
"Wow, sounds like you've had a crazy month, but damn eight million yen that's crazy," Y/n gasped as she put down her coffee.
"I know and there were some times they threatened to reveal my secret and put me back down to errand boy, or the dog they would call me," Haruhi sighed as she rested her arms on the table.
"Man if they called me a dog I would tell them where they could stick that coffee," Y/n said as she took a bite of her cake.
"I wish I had the guts to say stuff like that, but I'd rather not draw attention to myself and maintain my grades," Haruki chuckled.
"Oh yeah, you got in through scholarly recommendations right?" Y/n asked.
"Yeah, I didn't come from a rich well-off family. I got in cause I scored really well in the entrance exam," Harui explained.
"Sweet, hey could you like tutor me in this history class?" Y/n asked slowly.
"Tutor, can't you hire some personal tutors? I mean a lot of the other students hire personal tutors," Haruhi said in slight shock.
"Well, my grandmother isn't too keen on may for stuff like that, so I'm kind of poor," Y/n smiled nervesly.
------
After father left, he took my older sister and all the money with him to who knows where. Leaving me and my mother in poverty, till my grandmother on my father's side came by and started supporting us. Course she didn't do this out of the kindness of her heart for her family, she wanted to raise and groom me to be a perfect bride for another wealthy family. So we may leave better lives, she is only paying just enough to rely on her.
----
With a soft smile, Haruhi agreed to Y/n's straightforward request, so they quickly exchanged numbers to keep in touch. With a goodby Y/n skateboarded out of the music room, Kyoya came up with a serious look.
"Haruhi your next appointments are waiting, and handing out numbers isn't allowed," He said as he snatched Y/n's written phone number.
Haruhi sighed in relief when her phone pinged with a notification of a text. Turning her body so Kyoya couldn't see, it was a simple hello text form Y/n. Haruhi smiled as she slipped her phone back into her pocket.
------
(5 months later)
The two friends grew closer with each study session at Haruhi's house, and sometimes they would wander the town together instead of study. Haruhi learned many neat things about her cross-dressing friend. How Y/n is a self-made rich student, who started her own company to have some independence from her Grandmother. Yet she had to keep it on the down-low or else her grandmother could just buy out the company.
Haruhi gained great respect for her for that reason, someone who made her wealth and wasn't born into it. Â It was nice having a friend in Ouran who didn't see Haruhi as someone who is an ignorant commoner cause of social class, or rudely comment about her not so lavish things.
The host club started to notice Haruhi's more chipper attitude lately, and they were very curious as to why. She would always look up at the clock every so often and appeared to be waiting for someone specific.
"Wonder who Haruhi waiting for?" Koaru wondered.
"Maybe Haruhi is waiting for her crush or something?" Honey suggested.
"Wait what?!" Tamaki gasped in horror.
Suddenly the music door room opened and the other cross-dressing student rushed in. Tamaki and the twins watch from a distance from behind the couch as they watched the two cross-dressers talked and laughed over some cake.
"Who is that guy?" Hikaru wondered as his heart twisted slightly.
"That is Y/n L/n, She and her mother are supported by the Tenshin family head. Her only connection is that she is the daughter of the oldest son, but the parents divorced and know her and her mother live on the Tenshin's support," Kyoya explained.
"What does that mean?" Honey asked.
"It means the head is giving them money to live, and without them. She and her mother would live in poverty, the lower class," Kyoya sighed.
"So She's a commoner like Haruhi, makes sense why they would get along," Kaoru said simply.
But hen the group looked back The two were gone. They gasped as they looked around till they noticed that the door to the club was wide open.
-------
"So that's what happened to those guys. Wow, they sure got guts sneaking onto a private beach like that. Sucks I couldn't be there, maybe I could have helped," Y/n sighed as the two sat on the roof on a lone bench.
"It's alright, Tamaki would have just gotten mad at us for trying to fight off the boys, cause were girls," Haruhi sighed as she leaned slightly on her friend.
"Cause were girls. Wow maybe it's best he never said that to me, Or else I would have kicked him where the sun doesn't shine," Y/n laughed, " But I guess I could see where he's coming. Boys are just built stronger than girls. Though, now I know that these boys really care about you, which is good to hear,"
Y/n slowly leaned on Haruhi, as they watched the sunset behind the trees. Haruhi's cheeks pinked slightly as she felt Y/n's hand slowly hold hers.
"Umm, hey. My dad is going to bring home stuff to make a large dinner, so I was wondering if you wanted to join us for dinner?" Haruhi asked as she slowly tightened her grip on Y/n's hand.
"Don't you have a club party to be at tonight?" Y/n asked.
"Y-yeah, but, I just want to spend more time with you," Haruhi said wistfully.
"Alright, I'll pay double to make up for the time you were off. You gotta pay off that debt," Y/n smiled.
"Thank's Y/n... I love you," Haruhi smiled.
"I love you too," Y/n said rest her head on Haruhi's shoulder.

Protectors
Request: Hey, would you write something for the host club boys and girl! A scenario where they are with the female reader (they have a hard crush on her) at the beatch and some other boys are making her feel unkomfortabel? Like they team-up to protect her and try to make her feel better together? Some angst with a very fluffy ending? Oh! And the reader is wearing a summer dress if thats okay for you! Thank you very much!
Title: Protectors
Genre: angst, though a huge fluff-ton of fluff at the end
Pairing: Host Club x reader
Notes: This request, honestly, makes me really excited. I can just imagine the aftermath as well, so the scene setting is just *chefâs kiss*. Anyways, I will apologize in advance as well as provide a warning, but...
this will go into some slightly disturbing territory. Heed this before reading, proceed with caution.Â
Otherwise, I hope you enjoy this!Â
Below the cut!Â
Ouranâs attendance mainly of the powerful and wealthy, though there was the odd scholarship student. They may not know each other, but this is not one of those scenarios.
(Y/n) (L/n), a foreigner that had managed to work her way into the strict system after living in Japan, had formed a bond with fellow scholarship student Haruhi Fujioka. After living near each other for years, and the two females making many memories with each other, they knew each otherâs best-kept secrets.Â
While Haruhiâs was initially the host club, (Y/n) had found out about it the hard way (the twins caught wind of the girl and pulled her to the club). They all got along greatly, and this was the start of a budding friendship (and growing crush from all people in the club).Â
Though (Y/n)âs secret? That was only something that she and Haruhi were to know.Â
Which made this moment much, much worse than the âtypicalâ advances. Three guys had the attractive girl cornered, her flowery summer dress becoming discolored from the wet and dirty walls. Her tears were fresh in her eyes, her hands were shaking, but she couldnât scream.Â
The fear in her being was very much obvious, and despite her urge to fight back, the response pointed her to freeze. The tallest of the pack had a smirk on his slimy face, eyes scaling her figure with a nasty intent. His gaze on her only allowed for his lackeys to participate in the disgusting act.Â
While she was being objectified in the shadows, a bad feeling settled in Haruhiâs stomach. She wanted to leap up and search for her oh-so-close friend and neighbor (crush as well, but thatâs not the point here). She had noticed some guys approaching her constantly and - Oh no.
The worry slipped onto her face, and while Mori had taken immediate notice, no one was able to stop her when she ran at breakneck speed from the towel the boys had set up on the beachfront. It frankly scared them, but Haruhi? Yeah, she needed to find (Y/n).Â
Tamakiâs eyes had widened when he noticed the brunette jump up from her spot, but he nonetheless stood up and declared that the club would go with her. He wasnât aware of what was going on, and with (Y/n) gone, his fears would only get worse. It hadnât even been that long when Haruhi had gotten up. They were all on their way, following after Haruhi before Tamaki had finished his declaration.Â
In (Y/n)âs case, the guys that had trapped her were looming in closer, touching her for the sake of touching her. It was getting even more terrifying, they were getting even closer if that was even possible, the tears she had been holding were about to spill, they had the hem of her dress in their hands, and-
âHey!â
Thank you, Haruhi.
The group of boys had jumped onto following Haruhi, and when they heard her yell, they ran like mad men to the spot where the sound had come from. The tone of her voice scared them to no end; they had to hurry. Yes, they were close, but that sound was more horrifying than any one of them was suspecting.Â
Before the host club arrived, the boys had started to target Haruhi for her height. The fear that mimicked (Y/n)âs had begun to creep up on the short brunette, but before the leader could grab her shoulder, a plethora of loud voices rang through the beach house alley.Â
âLeave her be.â
The boys had stood tall, and the terrible trio? Pure terror at the sight of the towering Morinozuka and the look the devilish twins had graced upon their faces. It didnât help that these boys were also students of Ouran, all too aware of the power that these teenagers had over him and his family (namely Suoh and Ootori.)Â
It took very little to get them to walk away, but Honey-senpai and the twins made them run faster. Tamaki had made his place beside the two of you as you finally curled up into a ball and let your tears out.
While Haruhi was scared to no end, she knew how you reacted to things like this due to your past, so she was quick on the uptake for you. You were cradled in her arms, Tamaki was fussing over your state and had a towel draped around the two of you. She slipped the stray towel off herself and placed the whole thing over you. Kyoya was already calling to report to harassment, and Mori stood guard by the alley entrance.
Things throughout the day slowly settled for the group. Kyoya had made sure that you were safe throughout the whole aftermath, the twins were constantly on guard for your sake, Tamaki and Honey-senpai wouldnât leave your side, and Mori had been shadowing you three with Haruhi beside him. They had gone through multiple hours of recovery from the moment with you, staying beside you if you ever needed anything.
They had coddled you for the rest of the day, making sure that you had any food you had decided to eat, any blankets that you requested by your side in seconds. By the end of the night, the way they were constantly trying to grab your attention.Â
Yes, this includes Mori and Kyoya, as well as Haruhi.Â
Thanks to them, their doting had calmed you down (though the immediate aftermath had been so bad that you could only trust Haruhi to be around you for extended periods of time).
Overall, while the day had been going well until that point, the experience only made you respect the club members even more. They, on the other hand, had developed an even more primal sense to protect you.Â

THE UNTAMED, YOUR CHOICE OF OURAN AU, SOUL EATER AU, S&S AU, OR CORPSE BRIDE AU
OKAYIâM GOING TO DO THE OURAN AU BECAUSE I THINK ITâS REALLY FUNNY AND I MADE THEBAD CHOICE⢠OF READING A BUNCH OF NEWS TODAY.  Uh.  Mycomputer crashed halfway through this and I think somehow it got longer,so.  Sorry about that one.
ONE
Wen Ning is a scholarship student.  Heâs more than ascholarship student, really, heâs a here by the grace of every godever and also his sister student who also, incidentally, is ona scholarship.  The phenomenally wealthy Wen family recently went down ina blaze of indignity and political scandal, but newly-broke Wen Qing is not hearing any arguments about sending her babybrother to a less-than-top-of-the-line high school, especially since he acedthe tests and was given a full ride except for books and uniform. SinceWen Qing was halfway through med school at the time of the Wen scandal, theyâreburning through their meager inheritance to get her degree and make ends meetfor food, on the gamble eventually they might be able to move out of their absolutelyshit one-bedroom apartment on a doctorâs salary and also because Wen Ning pointblank refused to let her drop out. Therefore, when Wen Ning tries to hideout in an empty music room and accidentally breaks a very expensive vase, he hasa moment of abject dread andâwell, yeah, okay, heâll work it off, he guesses.
TWO
WeiWuxian isnât actually planning to charge this kid for a vase that is definitelyworth more than the entire apartment building he lives in! Wei Wuxian isnot an asshole!  Itâs just that he hasnever seen this scholarship kid with the secondhand clothes and the long hairhiding his face and the unfortunate name speak to anyone outside of absolutelymandatory conversation, and itâs kind of depressing.  So, Wuxian has decided to adopt him, teachhim how to talk to people, and maybe buy him a ponytail holder.  He has about five seconds to get all of thatout on the third day since recruiting Wen Ning, when a very petite woman in ared coat storms in like a hurricane and corners Wuxian alone (or rather, withonly Lan Wangji, which is as close as it gets) with apparently homicidal intentto snarl, âIf youâre messing with my brotherâs head, no one will ever find yourbody.â
(WenNing did not mention being low-key press-ganged into a host club on the firstday. Â On the second day, he came home ina real uniform that actually fit, with his hair cut into something thatresembled a style and pulled back from his face, and he had to spill hisguts because not even Wen Qingâs sleep schedule was going to make her miss thatone.)
Turnsout that the sister Wen Ning mentioned, implying that she was the same kind ofangelic creature as Jiang Yanli, is fucking terrifying. Â Wei Wuxian rambles through hisexplanation so fast that he kind of doubts Wen Qing gets all of it, and then hewaves his hands helplessly and says, âI donât know, he just seemed kind oflonely?â Â Wen Qing narrows her eyes athim. Â âItâs true! Â I never see him talk to anyone!â
âA-Ningis a good kid,â she says, shoving a finger into Wuxianâs chestthreateningly.  âOur family never likedhim because heâs too nice, and no one else likes him because of his name, so ifI hear youâre messing with himâŚâ
âIswear,â Wuxian says, raising his hand. Â âIjust thought maybe it would be good for him, having some people to hang outwith.â
WenQing studies him for another moment, and then she steps back and nods and says,âIt will be.â
Andthatâs how the host club gets a part-time manager in addition to its latestrecruit.
THREE
Thehosts are:
[rose_petal_animation.gif]
WeiWuxian, whois nominally in charge because he came up with this whole idea, on the argumentthat, quote, âJiang Cheng needs to learn to be nicer.â Â It was also tacitly agreed that he and JiangCheng needed something that would keep them out of the house and therefore outof Madam Yuâs way after school, and theyâd already been kicked out of themartial arts club after a slight incident involving Wei Wuxianâs fist, JinZixuanâs face, and Jiang Chengâs unapologetic support. Â Wuxian went around and recruited some folks, and now he has a host club, which, in his opinion, is markedly more fun thanthe martial arts club. Â The Mischievoustype.
JiangCheng, who has spent three years in this circus and is not noticeably nicer. Â Heâs likable enough with the guests, but nomatter what Wei Wuxian says, Jiang Cheng does know how to be civil whenthe situation calls for it. Â He spends mostof his time trying to reign in his brotherâs more wild ideas, but his successrate isnât great, because their sets-and-costumes guy is a horrible enablerwith family money who is more than willing to contribute to all kinds ofnonsense as long as he can show up with a fan and look mysterious while hewatches the chaos at their events. Â JiangCheng says heâs the Long-Suffering type but actually heâs the Bad Boy typebecause of his temper.
JinZixuan, who is only here because his mother said heâd be grounded until he graduatesunless he found a good extracurricular and he didnât know who ran the host clubwhen he blurted out that he was planning to join it. Â Now heâs committed because his mother will notsupport him leaving and itâs been three years and also he still hasnât gottenJiang Yanliâs phone number, which has become absolutely necessary because thethree minutes he sees her every Thursday when she comes to get her brothers fortheir weekly sibling dinner are the best of his week. Â There is a good chance Zixuanâs going to getpunched again when he finally gets his courage up to ask her out, but sometimesit be like that. Â The Princely type, althoughheâs hopeless when heâs not playing a part.
LanWangji, treasurer, who is only here because Wei Wuxian asked him to be, and everyone (except WeiWuxian) knows it. Â Heâs still remarkablypopular with the guests, despite the fact that most people are lucky to get fiveconsecutive words out of him and itâs a known fact that heâll bow out of aconversation with nothing more than a brief apology and a nod the moment Wuxiancalls him. Â Somehow, three years later,Wuxian has not picked up on the fact that Wangji is really not here tolearn to talk to women. Â Save him. Â The Stoic type.
LanXichen, generalsource of stability if not necessarily common sense, who is here because hisbrother is here. Â He and Wen Qing bondimmediately over their shared Protective Older Sibling energies, although WenQing is very much here to beat up anyone who looks sideways at her brother andXichen is very much here to wingman his brother as hard as he can manage. Â Heâs a year older than the others, graduatingthis year, and the most popular host by a long shot. Â The Chivalrous type.
WenNing, who, yeah, is wide-eyed and shy and tends to start stuttering if more than threeguests are looking at him at any given moment, but he has an apparently innatetalent for sweet and unassuming kindness thatâs a big hit. Â The guests are charmed by his nervousness andtheyâre always happy to listen to him talk about his favorite subjects (his sister, his friends, and archery, which he currently canât afford to do but knowseverything about, in that order). The Natural type.
Honorablemention to Nie Mingjue, who graduated last year and was only partof the host club because Lan Xichen made him. Which is to say, Xichen smiled at him and talked about how gladhe was that Wangji was making friends and how good it would look onMingjueâs college applications as a complement to his more athleticextracurriculars and how happy Huaisang would be to do something withhis brother, and then Mingjue blinked and boom, host club. Â He doesnât have any idea what happened. Â Xichen is like that. Â The Jock type.
FOUR
NieHuaisang has been Wei Wuxianâs top enabler and partner in chaos since they werein middle school and he also knows everyone and everything despite hisreputation as a top-notch dumbass. Â Hisentire rationale for not being part of the host club is that it wouldrequire him to admit to knowing things, and he Wonât, whichâtop student Wei âIHandle My Adequacy Issues By Being Smart But Also Have Guilt About Itâ Wuxiandoesnât totally get that, but sure, okay, proceed. Â Huaisang does, however, have anexcellent grasp of how to acquire all manner of strange things, so he is theirone-man supply center for all manner of wild concepts. Â One time he got an entire apple treenext-day-shipped just to prove he could.
Also,Huaisang is personally responsible for making most of the host clubâs money, because he has a camera and a good sense for the kind of pictures that peoplewill pay for. Even funneling most of the money back into funding the club activities, Huaisang is still managing to turn a decent profit all told. He takes a nice 7% cut for himself (friends and family discount), which is half the reason Mingjue didnât kick up even more of a fuss about it.
Huaisangâsvisceral hatred of the head editor of the school paper is the best kept secretin the school but on god Huaisangâs connections are better than that JinGuangyao assholeâs and heâs going to take him down before graduation.
FIVE
Halfwaythrough the school year, Wei Wuxian gets in a car wreck and the way Lan Wangjireacts to being the first number the paramedics find in Wuxianâs phone is informative. Â Itâs taken five and a half years, four brokenribs, a punctured lung, a concussion, and a spirited yelling sessionfrom Jiang Cheng, among other things, but Wei Wuxian has finally managed to geta clue.
Anda boyfriend.
Nowall they need to do is resolve Huaisangâs vendetta, figure out how the hell afirst year like Xue Yang managed to so comprehensively destroy ex-teacher XiaoXingchenâs reputation, and try and make it to Wen Qingâs graduation on time, and theyâre golden.

A commission for the truely lovely @99shadowcat99. Itâs been a while since Iâve written for Ouran High School Host Club, especially in a Yandereverse!AU, but I mayâve watched the entire season again, after finishing this up.Â
Word Count: 1.1k
TW: Mentions of Kidnapping and Delusional Mindsets (Both Minor)
âTheyâre swarming her.â
âDo you think we can kick out a few of her guests next time, Mori-chan?â
â...that would be best.â
âI donât like the way theyâre looking at Haruhi.â
âOh, God, theyâre touching her, too.â
âFucking vultures.â
It was a slow hour in the Host Club, on a day that never saw very many visitors, at that. Still, the girls thatâd come to see Haruhi were always persistent, always determined to spend a few minutes with the only Darling Host, her table continuously full despite the otherwise empty room. As much as most would trip over themselves for a charming Obsessive or two Possessives insistent on showering their temporary-partners in threats, the rarity of⌠everything Haruhi was seemed to be too precious to pass up. She seemed to enjoy the attention, at least, her laughter loud enough to be heard on the other side of the school, as Hikaru had frustratedly voiced earlier.
Unfortunately, the other Hosts didnât seem to share in her joy.
âI just donât understand why we canât join them,â Tamaki huffed, throwing his hands up dramatically. Heâd been the most upset about being segregated to one of the back corners, left to sprawl over a love-seat and force Kyoya to lean over the couch behind him, if only so he could better emphasize his defeat. âLook, theyâre probably just trying to waste our time. I think once we make it clear that we arenât mad, theyâll get the message.â
âThe only message is that youâre a jealous mess.â Kyoya quipped, shifting rigidly. His feelings on the subject werenât particularly pleasant, but heâd always taken these kinds of things far better than Tamaki. Not that such a feat should be considered an accomplishment. âTheyâre all very important, very wealthy members, and theyâre entitled to their favorite Host. That is, unless you want to compensate the club for their funds?â
Tamaki huffed, letting his arm fall over his eyes. âItâs not my fault that theyâre all so blind. It shouldnât be difficult to tell that Haruhiâs already taken-â
âYou trying to say something, Suoh?â Hikaru cut in, finally glancing up from the hand-held heâd been occupying himself with. He and the remaining Hosts had squeezed themselves onto the remaining sofa, despite the other chairs and pieces of furniture littered around the small space remaining empty. Still, Hikaru didnât attempt to move his legs out of his brotherâs lap, Honey insisting on melting into Moriâs side, despite having an entire third of the couch to himself. He perked up at the mention of Haruhi, though, letting his attention fall away from the device to better glare at the blonde across from him. âBecause if you think some Obsessive idiot is going to claim anyone, you must be dumber than you look.â He paused, making a point of going back to his game rather than indulging Tamaki. âHaruhiâs not yours. You should know better than anyone that weâre already together, she just⌠hasnât figured it out yet. And I havenât gotten around to telling her, yet.â
Kaoru sighed, flicking Hikaruâs forehead lightly and ignoring the muttered âharder daddyâ that followed. âYouâre acting Delusional again, we had a talk about this,â Kaoru started, a frown pulling at the corners of his lips. It was bad enough that they were separated by the severity of their⌠tendencies, but Kaoru doubted theyâd even have half the same classes if administration realized just how questionable Hikaruâs hold on reality was. Luckily, the amount of times heâd gotten physical with the touchier members of Kaoruâs following seemed to dissuade anyone from taking another look at their classifications. But, the idea of him entering another relationship (a romantic one, at that) threatened the delicate, fragile balance Kaoruâd maintained for years.
He didnât think he liked that threat, if he was being honest with himself.
Kaoru glanced over his shoulder absentmindedly, flinching when he saw how vibrant her smile was, his heart only beating faster when his gaze shifted to the other girls at their table. None of them noticed, all focused on something that didnât belong to them.
Kaoru decided he didnât like the idea of anyone threatening his relationship with Haruhi, either.
âIf one of you is going to pursue Haruhi, you better do it soon,â Kaoru sighed, leaning into his seat. His own sentiments could be pushed aside, for the time being. âShe seems to like the other Darlings⌠itâd be a real shame if she wasnât as interested in a Yandere as youâre assuming.â
âTheyâre such sentimental creatures... how can you expect her to resist all that attention?â Tamaki waned, ever the romantic, pushing himself into a sitting position as he whined. Kyoya hardly managed to move quickly enough to avoid his gestures, slamming his hands down firmly onto Tamakiâs shoulders once the blonde was upright. Tamaki slouched at the interference, pouting like a child denied their favorite treat. âRight, Kyoya, I need to do something about this. Another confession should work, or a grand gesture! Or I could-â
âYou could kidnap her,â Honey said, his tone still as drawn-out and as childish as it always was. If he realized what he was saying, he didnât show it, humming obliviously as the other Hostsâ heads snapped towards him. Such a thing wasnât unheard of, hell, it wasnât even uncommon. Half of the school was convinced Nekozawa had a girl locked up in that pitch-black club room, but the topic of a âfinal resortâ was never brought up verbally, not in the Host Club.
Not when Haruhi was in the room, especially.
Mori elbowed his companionâs side, mumbling something the rest of the group couldnât hear, but the scowl ghosting over his features gave him away, whether or not he spoke. Honey only shrugged, clinging onto Osa-chan a little tighter as he went on. âWhat? Everyone was thinking it, and I know all of you want to. Hika-chan and Tama-chan wonât have to argue if they have time to work this out.â He paused, averting his gaze, letting his eyes fall to the floor before continuing. âBesides, sheâs been stressed out, lately. A break will be good for her, as long as you let her friends visit.â
Glances were exchanged, quiet apologies passed from mouth to mouth, but the conversation ground to a halt unceremoniously. No one said a word, the silence tense, awkward, but the stifling atmosphere was broken by a series of farewells, the Music Roomâs door opening briefly before it shut, Haruhi still smiling as she leaned against it. Of course, Tamaki was on her in a moment, fussing over his favorite Darling and the twins trailing shortly after, their snide remarks noticeably absent.
No one was going to say it, much less discuss it, but the idea was already planted. A weed of something evil, rooting its way into their minds, even if it had yet to sprout for some.
But, plans were already well into bloom for others.Â
The only variable would be how long each Host could stay patient.

If you could, would you take time to make a list of shoujo manga's you've read? I got into them recently and I would love more recommendations. Thank you! <3
yes of course â¤ď¸ i love making lists for no reason
here is a list of shoujo manga iâve read and i think are worth reading (under the cut) and warning this is gonna be pretty long
NANA:Â The story of two 20-year-old women who share the same name. Even though they come from completely different backgrounds, they somehow meet and become best friends.Â
everyone is probably sick of hearing me talk about it but I truly think this is the best shoujo manga of all time đ iâm not even joking this series is everything to me
Paradise Kiss: Yukari is a high school student who has become tired of her life of constant schooling. She then comes across a group of student fashion designers in need of a model for their "Paradise Kiss" clothing label. Yukari knows nothing about the fashion world and is taken back by the group's eccentric ways, but she soon comes to admire their free thinking ways and ability to pursue their dreams with a one track mind.
I think this is technically josei but I still recommend it, same author as NANA
Gakuen Alice: Mikan runs away to Tokyo to follow her best friend, Hotaru, who has been enrolled in an exclusive, secretive private school for geniuses. But it turns out that Alice Academy is a lot more than meets the eye. If Mikan wants to stay by Hotaru's side, she has to both pass the strange "entrance exam" and face the even greater challenge of befriending her very odd new classmates.
this starts out pretty harmless, but it gets really heavy omg i cry every time i read it đ i canât do it justice in a couple words but itâs one of my ultimate fave series. fave male lead and fave relationship dynamic
Kamisama Kiss:Â Nanami is alone and homeless after her dad skips town to evade his gambling debts and the debt collectors kick her out of her apartment. So when a man she's just saved from a dog offers her his home, she jumps at the opportunity. But it turns out that his place is a shrine, and Nanami has unwittingly taken over his job as a local deity!
iâm running out of things to say, but this is peak fiction
Chihayafuru:Â Chihaya is a girl in the sixth grade, still not old enough to even know the meaning of the word zeal. But one day, she meets Arata, a transfer student from rural Fukui prefecture. Though docile and quiet, he has an unexpected skill: his ability to play competitive karuta, a traditional Japanese card game. Chihaya is struck by his obsession with the game, along with his ability to pick out the right card and swipe it away before any of his opponents. However, Arata is transfixed by her as well, all because of her unbelievable natural talent for the game.Â
again, this is josei but highly recommend!! the description is misleading because most of the story happens when theyâre in high school. imo this is the best sports manga of all time
Akatsuki no Yona:Â Yona reels from the shock of witnessing a loved oneâs murder and having to fight for her life. With Hakâs help, she flees the palace and struggles to survive while evading her enemyâs forces. But where will this displaced princess go when all the paths before her are uncertain?
i love high stakes and drama... and this has all of that. my fave ongoing shoujo manga
Cardcaptor Sakura:Â Fourth grader Sakura Kinomoto finds a strange book in her father's library -- a book made by the wizard Clow to store dangerous spirits sealed within a set of magical cards. But when Sakura opens it up, there is nothing left inside but Kero-chan, the book's cute little guardian beast... who informs Sakura that since the Clow cards seem to have escaped while he was asleep, it's now her job to capture them!
one of my childhood favourites and i still love it to this day
Fruits Basket: Tohru Honda is a high school freshman who is having a serious bout of misfortune. However, when her luck to seems to be at its worse, she meets the Soma family - and is invited to stay with them in exchange for taking care of the household chores. But it isn't long before Tohru discovers that the Somas have a deep secret. The family is cursed by the spirits of the Chinese Zodiac, and some of the children born into the Soma family can be possessed by these spirits.Â
itâs not a perfect series but i think anyone who reads it will definitely find something to love about it
Skip Beat:Â Kyoko Mogami followed her true love Sho to Tokyo to support him while he made it big as an idol. But he's casting her out now that he's famous! Kyoko won't suffer in silence--she's going to get her sweet revenge by beating Sho in show biz!
if u love slow burn this series is for u lol... one of the longest-running shoujo manga ever. kyokoâs character development is A+
Ouran High School Host Club:Â One day, Haruhi, a scholarship student at exclusive Ouran High School, breaks an $80,000 vase that belongs to the "Host Club," a mysterious campus group consisting of six super-rich (and gorgeous) guys. To pay back the damages, she is forced to work for the club, and it's there that she discovers just how wealthy the boys are and how different they are from everybody else.
an easy and fun read
Oboreru Knife/Drowning Love:Â They fight one another, they chase after one another, they capture one anotherâa turbulent tale of preteens on the brink of self-destruction.
i love the art and the tone of the writing but i have a lot of mixed feelings about this manga. i think itâs worth the read for the pretty panels alone tho... tw for sexual assault

FIRST KISS! Is it soft and tentative or does one of them just go for it? He wants to be respectful but he also want to show her is real feelings.
Wow, I honestly did not expect this one simple one-shot to take me all day to write. Itâs almost embarrassing. I canât explain it, once I began writing it was like I couldnât stop. I apologize for the length (2,690 words to be exact) but this story demanded to be written in this fashion. I hope you enjoy and thank you for the lovely prompt :)
âHaruhi-kun, please accept this cake. I had our patisserie make is specifically for your tastes.â A raven haired heiress offered the small delicacy in her open palms. The petite cake glistened with strawberry glaze and thinly sliced strawberries; the halved slices arranged on top to resemble a heart. The dessert was encased in a glass container, for both hygienic and aesthetic reasons, with the finishing touch of a thin spiraled green ribbon.
Haruhi nodded gratefully with a genuine smile and accepted the gift with both hands. âThank you so much Himari-san. You remembered I like strawberries.â
Himari giggled as a growing blush stained her cheeks, âYes, how could I forget?â
Another guest, one sitting beside Haruhi on her hosting couch, reached into a paper bag and brought forth a slim bundle of freshly cut lavender.
âForgive me, Haruhi-kun, but I didnât know you liked strawberries. I had one of my fatherâs associates gather this lavender from Franceâs finest fields. I hope it brings you as much joy.â
Haruhi could only stare at the two guests sitting before her. Their gifts were extravagant, carefully considered, purchased with the highest dollar, and yet the two young heiresses were too consumed by Haruhiâs reaction to admire the treasures they offered.
A year ago Haruhi never dreamed of being offered such riches. A year ago she was an invisible commoner surviving in the shadows of her peers, completely content with avoiding any meaningful friendships or encounters to graduate Ouran Academy. A year ago she was set on a strict path towards her dream of becoming a lawyer; a path that sacrificed more than it promised. However today Haruhi felt more than content; she was living, thriving. Thanks the Host Club, six asinine young men, and a broken vase she watched her life gain color and beauty once more. She never noticed how unhappy she truly was until she laughed, smiled, and dreamed again, all thanks to the rambunctious Host Club. She had also learned to recognize the first whispers of love, thanks to one host in particular.
Their hosting hours were wrapping up and soon Kyoya stood in the roomâs center and clapped his hands for everyoneâs undivided attention.
âPardon my intrusion ladies but unfortunately our time is up for the day. We thank you for today and hope to see you after the weekend break.â He jovially announced. Haruhi knew he was hiding his impatience behind a faux smile but only she â and a few others â could notice that damning detail.
On a normal day the hosts wouldnât try to rush their guests but today wasnât a normal day, to Haruhiâs grievance. Somehow Kyoya had remembered that it was her birthday and once word caught up to Tamaki the entire Host Club flew into disarray. Phone calls were made, orders were placed, and Haruhiâs debt balanced on a thin wire above showing appreciation for their efforts and cursing their wealthy foolishness. She knew it was best to let the Host Club shower her with fancy nonsense, if not for her then for their satisfaction.
The guests gathered their belongings and filed out of the music room, a little miffed at Kyoyaâs pushy goodbyes. When the last guest entered the hallway the twins quickly closed the doors.
âOfficially closed!â They unanimously cheered with identical devious grins, steering their sights on Haruhi who busied herself with collecting her birthday gifts into her satchel.
Tamaki sauntered to her couch with his arms theatrically raised to the ceiling, âOh Haruhi, how should we commemorate the day of your birth? Fear not, we planned a wonderful evening just for you! Isnât that right Kyoya?â
Kyoya slid his laptop into its sleeved and shook his head as he sighed, âTamaki did most of the planning so I will not be held responsible for any mishaps or disappointments tonight.â
âWhat do you have planned exactly, Tamaki-senpai?â Haruhi couldnât catch the annoyance laced in her tone before she spoke, nailing Tamakiâs optimism in the chest with her ruthless honesty.
Hikaru chuckled, âMilord, you should learn by now that Haruhi doesnât like surprises.â
Kaoru leaned against his brother and laughed along, âYeah donât get too bent out of shape. Itâs not like sheâll change anytime soon.â
Haruhi smiled to herself â if only they knew how much she had changed since their first encounter. The old Haruhi settled on a passive life. If only her friends understood how much they blessed her, impacted her, and taught her. They brought her back to life and saved her from the grips of normalcy. It wasnât until after she joined the Host Club when she realized she wanted more in life. She would have never been satisfied with only a law degree. Once she graduated what would become of her? Once she got hired onto a law firm where would she press onto next? When she clocked out of work who would she return to? What would be patiently waiting behind her front door to make her daily grind worth the stress and headaches? She never thought to ask those questions before but now she yearned for the answers.
Kyoyaâs voice broke her from her thoughts, âHaruhi, are you ready to go? That benevolent fool filled the next few hours to the brim with activities. I apologize but it appears your birthday is more tailored for his energy than yours.â He adjusted his glasses as he watched Tamaki boast about his careful planning, carrying on in great detail all the wonderful things he wanted Haruhi to experience. He claimed her commoner heart would be most thankful for the opportunities waiting beyond the music room. Thankfully his back was turned and didnât see Haruhi dramatically roll her eyes.
Haruhi felt the neighboring couch cushion dip as Hunny plopped beside her. He looked at her with his bright innocent eyes, although Haruhi knew Hunny to be far from innocent, and wrapped his slim arms around her waist.
âHaru-chan! Can you stay behind for a few minutes?â Â He asked sweetly.
Haruhi pointed at Kyoya, confused, âI thought we were about to leave.â
Kyoya picked up his satchel and made his way to the door. Without looking back his voice echoed off the walls, âTamaki, Hikaru, Kaoru, come with me. Itâll take three men to set up the first surprise anyway.â
Hikaru and Kaoru marched close behind with growing scowls, âWhat do you mean three? Youâre helping too!â They trailed Kyoyaâs steps and argued over the work load until their distant voices faded in the hallway.
Tamaki also gathered his satchel and raced toward the open double doors. Before he stepped into the hallway he turned around and offered a confident smile for Haruhi; silently promising an exciting evening of celebration. Haruhi didnât want to think about the inevitable headache Tamakiâs antic would surely create.
Haruhi stood up and joined Hunny at his designated table where he was happily finishing a piece of German chocolate cake. It was a bizarre flavor for the boy lolita but one his guests had returned from an American vacation and brought back the unique delicacy. Hunnyâs broad smile proved he enjoyed it all the same.
Haruhi sat down across from him, âYou wanted me to stay behind Hunny-senpai?â
Hunny swallowed another bite of caramelized coconut and pecan frosting and fluffy chocolate cake before setting his fork aside and addressing the curious host maiden.
âActually, I donât really have anything to say.â He confessed. He reached for a cloth napkin and dabbed the corners of his mouth clean of his sweet indulgence.
Haruhi arched an eyebrow and looked at him confused, âThen why did you-.â
âTakashi wanted to tell you something instead.â Hunny unapologetically interrupted as he leapt from his seat and landed with a soft thud. âHeâs changing back into his school uniform right now but in a few minutes heâll want to give you something for your birthday.â
âShouldnât we wait until this evening for gifts?â Haruhi tried to reason, feeling an awkwardness growing between them. Hunnyâs dishonesty did surprise her. He made sure to be an example for his friends; noble and wise. Although he could act just as childish as the foolish trio he also kept one foot in maturity. However, what was stranger was the fact that Takashi wanted to give her a gift, especially now before the other hosts had a chance to present theirs.
Hunny grabbed his Us-chan from the neighboring chair and threw his satchel strap over his shoulder before quickly skipping out of the music room; joining his friends by the main entrance and leaving a deeply confused Haruhi leaning against the tabletop.
She heard a click from the far wall and first noticed a brass doorknob twisting. The storage marked door opened slowly, revealing a tall young man stepping from the shadowed room. Haruhi abruptly stood up, forcing the chair legs to screech against the polished tile. Watching Mori step towards her made her acutely aware of how secluded they were. It was after school hours so neither student nor teacher dared stayed longer then they needed to, especially on a Friday afternoon. With their friends waiting by the main entrance left the two completely alone â perhaps in the entire school. The thought alone made her nervous.
It wasnât that she felt intimidated by the towering host but the opposite. She couldnât describe her feelings in a coherent way. Her thoughts towards Mori werenât tangible. They couldnât be expressed by the written word or captured on canvas. The blurry emotions clouded her rationality, nearly disarming her witty defenses. Takashi stood as the only host who could make her breath hitch simply by walking into a room and there he stood now, a few feet away while unspoken questions and unaddressed feelings filled the space between them.
âHaruhi,â Takashi said. He was a little surprised she agreed to stay behind for him. While he gathered his confidence in the storage room he half-accepted the possible truth that sheâd reject his gift and leave to join the others. Seeing her stand beside his cousinâs table filled him with immediate relief and strangely a second wind of courage.
Haruhi moved first and walked toward him.
âHunny-senpai said you have a gift for me and asked that I wait for you. Itâs really sweet of you to give me a gift Mori-senpai but I donât understand why you didnât want to wait until later.â She said almost nonchalantly which made Mori want to chuckle. He should have known she could be just as blunt even when she was nervous.
Mori nodded and offered his hand. His open palm only deepened her confusion. Why would he want her to stay behind if he had nothing to give? The most she expected from Mori was a handwritten card or a basket of fresh fruits for her to take home to share with her father. However nothing was stranger than strange.
Then a thought tickled the forefront of her mind. Perhaps he wasnât giving her something but rather asking for something instead. She looked up to meet his steely gray eyes and saw anxious uncertainty clouding his strikingly dark irises, confirming her suspicion. She hesitantly placed her smaller hand into his and watched wide-eyed as his fingers encased her hand in his hold. Mori knelt down on one knee before her, nearly meeting her at eye level, and stared into her milk chocolate eyes. His gaze was intense as if he were speaking to her; wordlessly confessing his heart.
Haruhiâs eyes grew wider when he slowly leaned forward and pressed his soft lips into her dorsal, lingering long enough for an electric pulse to course through her arm.
âTakashiâŚâ Haruhi barely whispered. Immediately she pulled her hand from his grasp and covered her mouth, completely embarrassed for rudely speaking his given name without the proper honorific. His unforeseen kiss had stunned her so much she stepped out of her sound mind, accidentally insulting her senpai in the end.
Mori just as quickly reached her for hands and gently pried them from her parted lips.
âTakashi.â He said with a small smile, willing her to understand that is what he hoped sheâd call him at the end of their encounter. Hearing her sweet voice speak his given name was like musical ecstasy. It sparked goosebumps along his arms and dilated his pupils, proof that Haruhi Fujioka was the only young woman he knew who held such power over him.
âHaruhi⌠IâŚâ Mori stammered, losing his confidence as he admired her beauty. He swore he could see galaxies churning in her eyes; the evening sunlight casting millions of stars across her chocolate irises.
Before he completely lost his footing he dared to take a chance and held her slender face within his calloused hands. He closed the space between them and grazed his lips against hers, testing her reaction. He held himself inches away, giving her plenty of time to protest, but she didnât. She didnât speak, she didnât move, she didnât turn to run. Her eyes searched his for a moment before settling on his lips. It was enough initiative. He dove back and pressed his lips against hers, this time with more passion.
Haruhi gasped and Mori took advantage of her parted lips, slipping in his hot tongue to meet hers. She curiously tasted him, merging their slick heat together in a rare form of dance; a dance for lovers. She licked his lip and grazed his tongue again, coaxing an interesting moan from his throat. His hands slid through her hair to hold her head steady as he kissed her, nipped her, licked her, and greedily captured her delicate lips for his own pleasure.
She tasted so sweet, so pure, that it almost felt like a sin to have stolen this innocence. Although she gave her first kiss to a girl many months ago she had never given away such raw emotion and fervent need before. The accidental kiss at the ball seemed like mere lip contact now that Haruhi felt the true power of a real kiss. It was electrifying. It almost breathed life into her tired lungs as they shared one breath. It was rejuvenating. She had found the fountain of youth in Moriâs lips and he willingly gave her a drink. Her thirst grew the more she savored his thick lips.
His hands abandoned her head and quickly snaked around her petite waist, anchoring her in his arms. His tight embrace was almost desperate. Now that he held her so close he couldnât let her walk away. Their merging body heat forced their skin to glisten with sweat but neither minded the minor inconvenience. It was a tempting idea to discard the offending the clothing altogether to feel the cool air relieve their blushing bodies. Oh it was tempting⌠but their friends were waiting at the main entrance.
Mori changed their kissâs speed, gradually slowing them to a sensual rhythm. Their lips danced in playful snares until Mori reluctantly pulled away. For a moment all they could do was breathe. Their arousal emitted from their quickened breathes as he rested his forehead against hers.
âMori-senaiâŚâ Haruhi mustered.
âTakashi.â Mori quickly corrected.
Haruhi took a deep breath, hoping to regain control over herself, and spoke again, âTakashi⌠is that what you wanted to give me?â
Mori smiled and nodded against her forehead, âYes. Yes it is.â
Haruhi pulled away far enough to properly face him. His cheeks were deeply blushed, his lips swollen and slick with their shared saliva, and his eyes seemed to burn with lust and caged desire. His chest heaved has he too tried to calm his charged body down. It was surely a sight to see; the Host Clubâs gentle giant brought to his knees by a little tanuki and reduced to his primal instincts.
âThank you Takashi.â Haruhi leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on his cheek, wordlessly accepting his love. Mori could only smile â a rare genuine smile â as she pulled back.
One year in the Host Club had taught Haruhi how to love life again. The Host Club unknowingly gave her a second chance to find her happiness again. Life was never meant to be wasted behind textbooks and exams. Life wasnât meant to waste away in a law firm cubicle. Life wasnât meant to be lived alone.Â
One year ago Haruhi was content with that loneliness. She had accepted her fate to forever chase something just beyond her reach. However today, right here in Moriâs arms, she realized sheâd never have to chase happiness again.Â
She now knew who sheâd clock out of work for. She now knew who sheâd return home to. She now knew who would be waiting beyond her apartmentâs front door.Â
She first heard the whispers of love in the jungle when he first carried her in his arms. Today she heard their love sing to the Heavens, cascading from the ceiling in a mighty crescendo.Â
âCome on,â Haruhi cupped his face with her hand and slid her fingers down his jawline, âLetâs meet the others.â

FallenAngel!Hikaru Hitachiin X Female!Reader X Angel!Kaoru Hitachiin -Part 1-
Can u do a fallen angelx female reader xangel
Word Count: 4,810
Category: Ouran Highschool Host Club
Limbo and everything corresponding to death is said to be a lonely and sad place. But is it truly?
~To Be Born Together, Is To Die Together~
-Part 1- -Part 2-
âNo one needs to know.â
âYouâll get in trouble with the Boss,â a voice sighed out a little exasperated, but not entirely against the idea his elder brother had proposed. âBut you donât quite care if you do, donât you?â
They nodded to their younger counterpart, agreeing. "Why should we care if he never finds out?"
With a tilt of his head, earlier bewilderment disappeared and upon his face came amusement. Of course, his elder brother with come up with a plan like this. It was so befitting of him to do such a thing. "Are you saying we should keep it a secret?" they asked, just to clarify what they meant. "You know how he will react if we do such a thing. It may not necessarily go against your instincts, but it does mine. I will be punished more severely than you."
"Of course," they replied, with a smirk, knowing they were alike yet different in many ways. He had already thought one step of ahead though just in case, for who would he be if he had planned something and not come up with a backup as to not get entangled unwantedly? "We just have to watch our steps and we should be fine. As long as we are quick and swift we should be fine." They waved their hand as if to dismiss the credible thought that they would take a wrong step.
"Such an intelligent brother I have," they laughed.
"Well, I am you."
"Oh, how could I forget?"
â
Unbeknownst to you, powers beyond your control were lurking.
You were a simple human. One with a simple life. Simple family. In all contexts of your life, you were just...well...simple. Nothing exciting ever happened to you. Nothing out of the ordinary to cause your train to run off its tracks. People around the world would desperately wish to have a gift of a normal life, but not you.
You wanted something to happen. You wanted the passionate excitement that life could offer yet never seemed to do so. Adventure of the thrill is what you desired more than anything else in the world. But even when you did try to venture out, try to defy its wishes, something always miraculously blocked your once clear path.
For example, that one time you had planned a visit to (C/n). You had bought the tickets, you had packed, and you had been the most excited you had ever been. You had taken precautions with everything. Following the silly rules like not stepping on cracks to step your mother's back, never cross the path of a black cat on the street, and all the other superstitious people had devised could be true but truly were not. To be careful was to be better than sorry.
Against all odds, you wanted nothing to get in your way, just this single time. Yet, against your will, something had happened and you never got the chance to fly to (C/n).
The plane you had planned to use had supposedly been suspended due to an anonymous tip that it was going to be hijacked by terrorists. So instead of enjoying the fresh air of (C/n), you were stuck in your bed with the free week from school you had gotten taken off, watching some Netflix shows.
By terrorists.
Out of all the reasons for a plane to be delayed and eventually cut off.
It was just your special kind of luck.
If you didn't know any better you would have held the assumption that God or the Devil himself were personally handling your affairs. Whether it was held with good or bad intentions was something you had never figured out, but in all your years of living, you took it as some kind of twisted blessing given to you when you were born.
With the giant refund of money the airport had given you, stapled with an apology of the unwanted inconvenience, you enjoyed yourself in your home city of Tokyo, Japan.
Having a free week to yourself was still something that lifted your spirits. While you did have more than enough time to yourself due to your parents being important and wealthy people in the city, you still felt better. You were always surrounded by your friends from Ouran High School, their chatterings of minuscule things like what dessert they enjoyed most or which Host Club member they wished could date them, even just for an hour of the day.
You remembered though, the one day you had finally decided to see what the ruckus was that surrounded the Host Club, when you had been given a sorrowful greeting.
Never would you have imagined that the day you had decided to get some excitement in your life was the day the Host Club had suffered not one, but two heartbreaking realizations. It was the twins, the ones that had been given the title of 'Little Devils', who had both decided to leave this world.
Suicide.
Conjoined suicide.
The worst thing about it all was that they had left without a world. The other Host Club members, who had all been more than close with the duo, had confessed that the two had never given any signs to the fate they led themselves too. They had been acting like their normal mischievous selves, pranks and all the day before they had been found dead in their house together. Not even a note had been left, or a post on a social media to pinpoint their reasons behind their actions.
You still thought about it. About the day you, no matter how much you tried to convince yourself you didn't, had caused their deaths. It was a plausible idea for you. Why else would they had done it? It had to be you. The girl with a blessing that had turned into a curse.
Curse.
Yes, you had this curse. And thanks to you two people you had never met had died. Taken their own lives because you couldn't stay away from the mere idea that you would finally be able to touch something that could bring you even just a single ounce of excitement.
You had killed those two boys.
Killed those twins.
You had killed Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin.
â
"What about her?" Â Kaoru's white wings shimmered in the light of the lamp posts that had been turned one in the turning of late afternoon to early evening.
Hikaru's own wings, acknowledged to be bigger display but pitch black, ruffled for only a second in dissatisfaction. "No, looks too uninteresting," he huffed, watching as the woman his brother pointed out walking down the street.
Her face was caked with too much makeup for their liking, since they enjoyed a more natural look more than anything. The same went for a woman's overall personality. If they made any assumptions about the woman who had walked by, they both knew her personality would probably not meet their standards in many aspects.
It was harder than they thought, to actually find somebody that both met their preferences, but agree to have them tag along. Consent was needed for a contract to be formed. So while the idea of this had been a good one, the work they needed to put forth was more than they had thought they would need.
All they wanted was a woman who wasn't afraid to show her true self out in public. Plus if she agreed, consenting to their conditions, and them to hers, it would cement the bond. They didn't think it was something so hard to ask, but it was apparent that it truly was.
Leisurely walking along a street in Tokyo that offered a strip of all assortments of stores like cafes, pastry shops, and ones offering clothing, Hikaru and Kaoru tried harder to find somebody suitable. They hadn't much more time to look. Sundown was fast approaching which meant not only would people be dispersing to return to their safe homes, but their boss would question why they would be out so late.
Through the throngs of people, they walked, simple disguising magic making it easier for them to navigate their ways without being sighted by any watchful eyes. More than around a hundred woman had been cast aside. It was not that they were picky or anything, but every time they had thought one could be suitable, a man, a child, or the like would be tailing after them. While they had their own standards of what they wanted, they needed a woman who was not attached. If somebody was tied to them it would make it harder for all them to interact. Two men were enough for a woman. They would get more than jealous if a third man was already vying for the attention of the woman they wanted.
So with feet almost touching the floor from wings that had grown tired, the wondered if they should try tomorrow instead. Maybe, somebody, tomorrow would fit what they wanted. It wasn't too big of a shot to take. They would both get the rest they needed and give them more time for a better plan to find who they needed for their contract.
Just as they had both agreed upon meeting tomorrow in the morning they saw somebody that looked more than perfect.
You.
The girl wearing a pretty (F/c) sundress that hugged your figure, paired with pretty (S/f/c) sandals. You looked happy and bright in the middle of tired looking individuals. In the glow of lantern posts and a few lanterns from more traditional shops, you looked heavenly.
What a convenience for you to be heavenly, granted who they were.
â
Surveying the shops around you, you smiled gleefully. Today had been a stress reliever. After your stops at a pastry shop to try out a new special, nothing had ruined your day. You knew nothing could make your day go wrong. Absolutely nothing.
But you internally said those words too much too quickly for a random stranger bumped you with their shoulder as they tried to pass. With a sneer, they yelled a, "Watch where you're going!"
Replying with a, "Sorry, sir!", you wondered what his problem was to warrant such a foul mood in such a happy place like this.
Continuing on your way you excited from the main street of shops with a turn to the left. Clutching the bag that hung over your left shoulder you knew you couldn't let the strangers crabby mood ruin your own. So plastering on a smile upon your face you walked casually back in the direction of where your apartment resided.
Halfway there though you had the itching feeling somebody was watching you. The most terrifying fact about it was you felt more than one pair of eyes on the burning themselves into the back of your head. It horrifying you more when you turned your head to look over your shoulder while walking to only discover nobody was behind you. The whole street was deserted and with the lamp posts casting odd shadows over the asphalt paved road you had a feeling something was more than wrong. But turning to look straight again you had to hold onto the belief that your curse would protect you.
Unfortunately, the first time your curse was deciding to take off was the day you actually needed it to be working.
With a shriek, you took a quick step backward at an odd angle and tripped. Strong pains throbbed in your right ankle and your butt as you fell to the ground. Your hands also hurt too, the rock and rocky plains of the road digging into your open palms when you braced for impact. Â
The two figures above you had once had pleased looks on their face, but they both quickly morphed into worry when you took the unprecedented fall to the ground. They both seemed to forget that they had been stalking you for they both took a step forward.
Your eyes though had closed shut, the sting of your palms combined with the throbbing in your ankle causing you much plain to your displeasure. Wincing, you open your eyes when one spoke. Looking up you see one of them kneeling, offering you their hand.
Despite initially believing they were kidnappers or something of the sort you fought against it. What kind of kidnappers or murderers would they be if they were being so kind as to help you off the ground when they had frightened you? Maybe it was your nature to be kind peeking through that made you hold onto the belief they were good people and didn't mean to cause you harm.
So accepting his kind gesture you rested your significantly smaller hand into his own. He heaved you up slowly until you got your bearings with you once again. The pain in your hand still stung the littlest bit, but it was the more concerning injury that was your ankle that had your attention.
"Thank you," you said softly, your voice appearing meek and small. Dusting off your sundress lightly, you look up and canât help but let your mouth open a bit in surprise. Before you can stop from speaking you blurt out one word: âTwins.â
Both their amber colored eyes, like sweet honey, widened in some sort of dumbfoundment. You clamp your mouth knowing you must have insulted them, but before you can open it again to explain yourself they react first.
âPppffttt,â their bellowing laughed rings in your ears and if had not been for you confusion you would have joined in with their merriment.
After a few seconds, they catch their breath, one ruffling their shared messy auburn hair in the process. They are so identical you are unsure how someone would ever tell them apart. One thing you did notice was the parting of their hair was different though. The one standing to your left was parted to the right while the one on the right was the opposite.
âSorry for laughing,â the one on the left, who was also the one who helped you up said, âbut then the realization on your face was too hard to go against.â
The one on the right joins in, but he seems to have a rougher exterior and doesnât seem to care much for boundaries or the like. âI have to disagree,â he says, a smirk on his face. âThe look on your face was priceless when you noticed.â
âYa, I,â you said nervously, tucking a stray piece of (H/c) hair behind your ear,â I was just surprised. Iâve never seen twins before. I was going to see a pair a week or so ago, but it never came to be.â
âYou were going to see twins?â The one on the right asked, confused as to why seeing a pair of twins would be set up like a meeting.
âYes,â you said sheepishly. Â âHave you heard of the Ouran Highschool Host Club?â
They glance to each other for a second, a glance that holds something you donât know in it, before looking at you. They offer a few nods of confirmation and you continue on even though you are a bit suspicious with that look they gave each other.
âWell, I have had this curse since birth, per se, and I-â
The both stopped you momentarily and you were in a daze when they spoke together. âCurse? What kind of curse?â
You went on even though you thought it both cute and impressive for them to blend their voices so perfectly together. âI always guessed it was supposed to be a blessing, but after living with it for so long and knowing its effects I believe itâs more of a curse than anything else,â you started to explain as they listen closely, even leaning in a bit to catch everything you tell them. âIt makes my life normal. Every time I seek out anything even just a tiny bit exciting something happens and I never get to experience it.â
You go on to explain a few instances to give them more insight into the dilemma you were always stuck in. Even the short story about the missed vacation that was too crazy to ever be a real thing.
âSo one day, after my friends had been badgering me about the Host Club for weeks, I decided to go. I thought I would be okay, I could have just a little bit of fun for once in my life. But it wasnât meant to beâŚâ you murmured, eyes downcast. âThe day I had arrived the most horrible thing had happened. All the member were in despair. Girls all around were crying their eyes out. Even the most strong and stoic like Ootori-Senpai and Morinozuka-Senpai, were inconsolable⌠Two of their members had mysteriously committed suicide. The oddest thing was they never left any reason behind as to why they did such a thing.â
Looking up you stare into their face. Tears pricked your eyes, obscuring your vision for a second and you could have sworn their expressions showed guilt, but you didnât dwell on the thought though. Wiping the tear away you stood a bit taller, trying to act like you were alright even though you felt empty inside. Hands clasped together you stared deep into their eyes.
âItâs my fault.â
âWhat is?â they said together, though it seemed more forced than anything else.
âTheir deaths,â you said arms crossing so you could hug yourself. âMy curse must have done this...there is no other explanation for them to do something so drastic. So spontaneous with no reason whatsoever...I-I,â your voice was cracking and even though you had met these boys only around twenty minutes ago you felt you could trust them, âI killed themâŚ.
I killed Hikaru and Kaoru Hitachiin.â
â
You had not the faintest idea of why they were not reacting. They just stood their normally like you had simply told them your friends favorite color was blue. Their faces were the same, identical as they already were, morphed into frigid looks of guilt.
âDo youâŚ,â you felt a bit of anger rising in your voice at their barely changed reactions, âdo you both even care I killed them? I killed two boys I had never even met because I wanted to be selfish and have fun? They had their whole lives ahead of them and I-â
âIt wasn't you,â the one on your right said first, then joined his left twin brother for the second part. âIt wasnât your fault.â
âWhat do you mean?â
The twins stood for a second contemplating on if they should leave. Erase your memory somehow and let you live your life without knowing you ever met them right here. They had both forgotten about the contract they wanted to create with you. What had ensued was bigger than both of them and right now they cared more about your wellbeing than them having a new toy to play with when they got bored of the regular occurrences of most humans.
The one on the right and looked at the other. He was shaking a bit, trying their hardest to not show their emotions. He knew he had to be brave for his younger brother, but this is where they split. He wasnât like his younger brother. He wasnât as good at being level-headed and well put together. The younger knew this and offered his hand. Tangling them together in a tight grasp.
Squeezing his hand, he looked up at you and spoke for both of them. âWe are those twins. Hikaru,â he titled his head as a signal to his brother on the right, and finally himself, âKaoru.â
You were stunned, body stock still as you stared at the tall twins with blazing amber gemmed eyes. âBut thatâs impossible, they-well you both-died,â you said trying to rack your brain for an explanation to all of this.
How was it possible for them to be those twins when they had died? They had found the bodies, they had had a funeral and gone through with everything. Even if it was a fake death, they couldnât be that good and gotten away with it to run away. And if it was to run away...what were they running to? Their life was perfect as it was. What was so imperfect about it to cause something so irreversible?
âWe came back,â Kaoru said first.
âBut back in a limbo state,â Hikaru said second.
âWhat do you mean? I donât quite understand.â
They glanced at each other before they revealed one of their deepest secrets.
Blinded by a white light for a few seconds you guarded your face with your hands. Soon it calmed down, growing dimmer and dimmer by the second. Removing your hands, gradually you began to understand the meaning to their words.
Hikaru was a Fallen Angel.
Kaoru was an Angel.
Hikaruâs wings were obsidian, majestically dark like the colour of a starless night in the middle of winter.
Kaoruâs were a complete contrast, wings of brilliant powdered white, light like the colour of the glimmering stars in a summers night.
You didnât ask the reason behind their differences in afterlife species. You simply chalked it up as actions after they had died. To meddle in those affairs was a story for another day perhaps.
Both of their wings were big, though Kaoruâs swept the floor further than Kaoru's and intimidated you just a bit. You should have felt fear at the knowledge of this but you felt lighthearted. They are dead, yet they are more alive than they ever have been. So much had happened since they left the Earth to return and linger in their home called limbo. A place of mystery and superstition to humans of the modern world.
âWhy reveal yourselves now?â You asked, wishing for questions to your compiled answers. âWhy to me? You both committed suicide, but you seem to hold no regret. Do you not care about your friends? Do you-â
âWe do care about them,â Kaoru answered, knowing his brother would burst and not be able to take the pressure on his shoulders. âWe just couldnât take seeing the person we love slowly fall for someone else. Fall for someone she swore she would never like as anything more than a friend.â
Hikaru looks up, his amber eyes burning into you own watery (E/c) orbs. âItâs torture you know. Witnessing something like that happen. Itâs one of the worst things to ever have to go through,â his voice is deeper than Kaoru's, not only naturally but because you know this is the truth. This is why they had done what they did.
They had both fallen in love with the same girl.
A girl who didnât share either of their feelings.
A girl who had chosen someone else instead.
âSo, you made a pactâŚ,â you stepped closer to them, their powerful auras from being otherworldly, swirling around your smaller figure in a way that made you serenely calm upon contact. âTo be born together is to die together.â
They must have felt immense relief at your understanding and positive answer. While taking oneâs own life was something that hurt others more than yourself, it was based on reasons. On causes that created effects. Building blocks stacked too high and then sharply hit, to have them all crumble upon the floor.
âWe know,â Hikaru said softly, we may have hurt the ones we cared for. But the pain was so great, we couldnât help but do what we did. We canât take it back and donât want to. What has been done has been done.â
Kaoru nodded in agreement, wings moving subconsciously for a moment. âDeath, while people depict it as lonely, is more than what we had imagined. Itâs truly fun. We go where we wish, We do what we like,â he said with new excitement. The earlier depressive state had begun to lighten and be replaced with thoughts of better things. âWe can prank humans and not get caught no matter how obvious we are. Itâs not too bad when you have somebody by your side to always be there for you.â
Kaoru turned to Hikaru and they both smiled mischievously, though warmth and loyalty shined through it all. To see them so happy made your heart soar. Death to them was the next great adventure to them. It was not sad. It was no lonely. It was what they needed to let themselves and heal their broken hearts.
âBut what about me,â you wondered, laughing at your next thought. âWere you going to prank me?â
âMaybe~,â they drawled together taking steps toward you. Hikaru snatched your right side while Kaoru snatched your left. âWe initially wanted to form a contract.â
âA contract?â Your face was growing hotter by the second being between these two handsome boys.
âYes,â they said. âA small contract. Nothing too extreme.â
âWe wanted to find someone to play with,â Hikaru said. His words were very like him that you didnât break out in a sweat because of it.
âSomeone to keep additional company. They would get some benefits too though,â Kaoru finished.
âSo if you held a contract with me, I would be able to give you conditions?â Your eyes wandered from Hikaru and Kaoru's as you spoke, wanting to give them both your full attention rather than staring at one the whole time as not to be rude.
âYes,â they say in unison. âYou already meet ours.â
âSo,â said Hikaru.
âWhat are your conditions?â Kaoru said.

3. What i want to find in a s/o
4. What i dislike
5. Personality
Im also a capricorn and libra ascendant that is infj-t mbti personality type!
Thank you very much âĽď¸
[đ @michiyonakamuraâ requested one (1) regular Ouran High School Host Club matchup. I have just the ingredients for that! Sit tight while I get to work.đ]
Not to sound weird, but I love your energy đ!! I admire the fact that you have such a good sense of self. Iâll make you proud, bud! đ¤
(Btw, since you didnât clarify your pronouns, Iâll just use they/them for now. Iâll change them if you want!)
And, it looks like you have an admirer:
đˇTamaki Suohđˇ
đąHumble Beginningsđą
In school, even in your second year middle school class, you knew the rumors far too well. The whispers that reminded you of viper hisses that kept one name relevant in your mind
The bastard son of Yuzuru Suoh, Tamaki
Despite the other kids explaining to you (Multiple times, at that) that the boy wasnât worth talking to, you never understood the stigma around him
Maybe it was because your parents didnât treat illegitimate children like the sin it was in the elite professional community?? But, you were genuinely confused at your classmates, who were so ready to deny the humanity of the new kid (Because of something he couldnât control, no less)
You eventually asked for the opinion of your âfriendâ, Kyoya Ootori (Really, it was just an acquaintanceship built off the request of Kyoyaâs parents. You knew that, but decided not to say anything out of liking spending time with him.). To which he responded that building a relationship with someone with such a horrible status held no benefit. But, he also knew that fact would hardly stop you
And it didnât â¤ď¸
You started your mini-mission with simple observation
Through watching at a distance, you learned that even though Tamaki was lowkey (highkey) shunned by his classmates, he was still the sweetest person imaginable towards themÂ
Something told you he understood why he had the social standing he did. But, the fact that he chose to not act bitter made you feel warmer on the inside
You really, really wanted to talk to Tamaki. And hardly because you pitied him. But, because he seemed like too good and interesting a person to pass off
After further observation, you found out that Tamaki also loved music! (As he took a classical music elective)
And suddenly, you had your peace offering
The day after your discovery, you went to the library on campus and got to work. The idea was that youâd print out a ton of sheet music for piano and offer your friendship by giving it to Tamaki
You ended up printing out ââMoonlightâ Sonataâ, âThe Entertainerâ, âBrandenburg Concerto No. 3âł, and many others like them, putting them in a folder with a sticky note signed with your name:
âWanna sit together at lunch sometime? :D â(Y/N)â
After that, you left the decision up to Tamaki. Sure, you wanted to be friends with him, but letting him come to you would be a surefire way to gauge his interest
The next day, you sat at your usual spot with Kyoya at lunch, who expressed his doubts about your efforts paying off
And while you did acknowledge that your little plan could always fall through, you kept your hopes up. The notion of making your life a bit brighter with The Power Of Friendshipâ˘ď¸ made you giddy
As your talking veered into the subject of your curiosities about how the cafeteriaâs gourmet lunches managed to be so good every day, you noticed a shift in Kyoyaâs gaze. Instead of looking straight at you, his line of vision looked like it was going just past you
âAh, excuse me? Youâre (L/N) (F/N), right?â
You immediately turned around at the sound of the polite voice behind you
Well, what do you know!!
The lean boy behind you stood patiently, familiar folder in hand. His blond hair and near violet eyes only complimented his sweet-looking face. He was exactly who you were hoping to see!!Â
âOh! Uh, yeah, thatâs me!âÂ
âI got the music you left on my desk, and I wanted to thank you! You have amazing taste in music.â
Your heart: â¤ď¸â¨đđşâď¸
âOh- geez, thanks! I kinda thought youâd like them. Wanna, maybe...sit and talk about âem?â
Tamaki brightened and you both looked towards Kyoya for permission. The two of you faced each other again once he gave a brief, exasperated nod
âOf course!â
đłFlourishing Loveđł
Together, you, Kyoya, and Tamaki became the respective heart, mind, and soul of the Ouran High School Host Club
As the naturally likable manager, you were often a bridge between the two conflicting views of leadership. You brought a certain empathetic sense of responsibility to the table, which helped in most club functionsÂ
Tamaki, who you became rather close to, began to fall for your love of life, and your love for others
Even he was surprised by how many other clubs you helped out in, and made it his mission to make sure you donât spread yourself too thin ((like he often did-))
Through you, Tamaki began to learn about all of your hobbies. And every day, heâd love you a little more
Your crush developed more slowly, but surely. You started seeing Tamaki as a romantic option when he started asking for you to teach him about the many things you enjoy. No one had shown that type of interest before, and honestly?? It was a little flustering
Soon enough, Tamaki couldnât take it anymore. He needed to ask you out before the opportunity went away!
(((Sure, there was the issue of his customers being upset about his relationship. But, Tamaki would cross that bridge when he got to it, wouldnât he?)))
It was actually in the library that Tamaki officially confessed. He gave you a book that you had already read, insisting that you look through it again. Albeit, confused, you complied by opening to the page bookmarked by a red rose. There, you saw a sticky note with a specific paragraph number written on it
The paragraph you read was a love confession that perfectly described Tamakiâs feelings
You looked up from the book to meet Tamakiâs eyes, that were free of the exaggerated version of himself. He was serious about this, and serious about you
After you two got together, Tamaki wouldâve loved to flaunt his new relationship, but you eventually convinced him to keep it under wraps for now
In fact, he found the Secret Forbidden Relationshipâ˘ď¸ shtick kind of â¨excitingâ¨Â
However, he will at some point get impatient and accidentally out your little romance to the Host Club (Kyoya had known all along of course)
One of your first dates was watching a âlightâ thriller at your place. In other words, the movie scared the crap out of Tamaki, while you comforted him like the knight in shining armor you are âşď¸
Being as compassionate as he is, Tamaki would love easing you into becoming more verbally expressive. The improvement isnât necessarily for him, since his higher understanding of other people means he can interpret how you feel too. But, he knows that taking that change is important to you, whether youâve outright said it or not
Tamaki will become a lot more adventurous with you and all of your interests. The rest of his friends are actually concerned about his physical health đ
During the winter months, you and Tamaki made it a habit of going out on days below freezing, and cuddling at a library/cafeÂ
Expect many, many chocolate roses from Tamaki in the places you frequent, with sweet little love notes attached to the stem
^The notes also include polite reminders of tasks you may have forgotten throughout the day
The reason Tamaki loved dating you (And not just you in general) was because you two had gotten together of your own volition. No outside forces like wealthy family or meddling friends were involved. This relationship belonged to only you two, and that fact couldnât be taken away đ
\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/
[đ There you go bud! Thatâs one matchup for the road. Hopefully it lasts for a while, but if it doesnât, feel free to come back! Iâd be thrilled to see you again.đ] âReagan

"Ouran High School Host Club" volumes 1-18 by Bisco Hatori
Synopsis: In this screwball romantic comedy, Haruhi, a poor girl at a rich kids' school, is forced to repay an $80,000 debt by working for the school's swankiest, all-male club-- as a boy! There she discovers just how wealthy all six members are and how different the rich are from everybody else...
Published: 2002-2010 (Hakusensha/ LaLa Magazine [JPN], Viz Media [USA] Genre: Manga, Romantic-Comedy, Slice-of-Life, Parody Rating: 4.5 out of 5 Reader Review: It has been nearly a year (or so) since I've done a review. Half of the reason for this is because I've been too busy to be reading much of anything. The other half of the reason is because I've been reading (pretty much) nothing but this series. I don't remember how I was first introduced to the manga series, but it was years ago and probably came to know about it from knowing the anime. Because, let's be honest, every anime originated from some sort of manga. My best friend and I were looking for something to watch one night way back in 2011 (as I said, years ago), and stumbled upon the "Ouran High School Host Club" show. We binge-watched it over the course of a week and loved its humor and the way it constantly broke the 4th wall and parodied many a played-out trope of manga/anime/otaku culture. It must have been from there that I found out it was a manga and started to chip away at it. 7 years later... I only had volumes 1-10 in my possession and I must have only read half of them. Meanwhile, work, life, other books etc, took precedence and Ouran the manga sat on my bookshelf. For the incoming new year, I decided to (try not to) buy any new books and read the ones I had first, starting with the entire Ouran manga series. And finally, Iâve finished.
Let me just say now that I'm going to get very nerdy with this review and talk about things apropos of nothing. And let me also say that, although I love the Ouran TV series, 26 episodes are not enough to do the whole manga story justice. Much like FullMetal Alchemist, Inuyasha, and so on, the manga was an ongoing publication when the idea to turn it into a TV series came about. But the need to have it made into a TV series outweighed the patience to wait for the manga to end, thus the show got a new, original ending, completely separate from how the manga ended. In fact, the manga wouldnât get its ending until FOUR YEARS after the anime ended. Because of this, a lot of creative liberties were taken for the second half of the show. It's something I both understand and hate about anime adaptations. Like, there wouldn't have been a "FullMetal Alchemist Brotherhood" if the anime creators just let the manga creator finish her series, and then we'd only have one FullMetal Alchemist anime series to save all the confusion. Long story short, the Ouran manga series has so much packed into it, that a lot of the things alluded at in the anime series (Tamaki's relationship with his family, Hikaru's feelings for Haruhi, and so on) make so much more sense now. It really makes me want to re-watch the anime to look out for those subtle nuances portrayed in the manga. ***I will add that there is a live-action TV series and movie for the Ouran series that does take place while the manga was further along than when the anime series was made, but both series were made while the manga was ongoing. Anyway, the manga series itself is a visual feast. It switches up art styles so many times, mostly to show the zany/funny parts, with a consistent, beautiful art style for the more serious parts. You could read the whole manga series in Japanese and still get the gist of the story based on the illustrated panels alone. The dialogue is also equally sharp, with the same ability to go back and forth between a funny moment and a serious moment without the tonal changes being too jarring for the reader. It's a testament to Hatori's storytelling ability that such transitions happen pretty frequently, yet instead of feeling inconsistent or sloppy, the comedic moments hit you that much harder because of how well-timed they're delivered. Better yet, Hatori creates this world of flip-floppy wacky-serious moments and makes you believe that, in this world, such back and forths are totally normal. The dialogue between characters itself feels organic despite some of the topics being absolute nonsense (after all, this series is mostly about boys who are stupid rich and mistake middle-class living for living in poverty), but it adds to the characterization of the Host Club boys (and girl). The characters, much like the situation, are caricatures of tropes long unironically portrayed in mangas that have come before it. Tamaki is the darling charmer who knows just the right mushy thing to say to make the ladies swoon, Mori is the ridiculously strong and stoic type, Hunny is the cavity-inducing cute boy who likes sweets and bunnies and everything pure in the world, etc. And the character of Haruhi, while of course having her own personality, works for the reader as one that the reader can insert themselves into, as she sees the absurdity of the rest of the boys, and the workings of the rich in general, that no one else in the school sees, and reacts accordingly. It makes the reader's transition into this fanciful world easier thanks to Haruhi acting as the bridge between the two. If not for her, the goal of understanding this world, rather than taking it seriously, because it really isn't a series to take all that seriously, would be much harder to do. The cohesion of the main story itself is consistent. This is a series based in romance, after all, and at one point, there is a love square with Haruhi as the object of three boys' affections. While the main story is going on, we get side stories and inside looks into the lives of the Host Club members, which allow for us to get a better understanding of who each of the characters are and why they are the way they are. There's world-building in conjunction with story-building, and that makes for a more well-rounded story. By the last volume, the main story really picks up, but it's also the volume that let me down the most just because of how rushed things felt (despite the last volume actually being the thickest). The main romantic plot is comes to fruition, but the slow build that has been happening since volume 1 becomes a jump from present-day to three months in the future to eight months in the future in volume 17. Don't get me wrong, I loved the little future bits, but it didn't flow with me as well as the rest of the series. Oh, and the ending. I won't spoil much of it, but you really really really have to bear in mind that this is a series of nonsense and that anything can happen because most of the characters are rich enough to make that happen. Despite all of that, the ending, which I can best describe as a "tie it all up in a nice neat bow" happy ending, asks a lot of the reader to accept. It doesn't really provide the characters with the obstacles that I'd hoped for (in the same way that Hunny and Mori graduating high school didn't provide the situation of the Host Club going on without two members in the way I'd expected). If I could just have one more volume to develop the story and relationships just a bit more between the present day and the eight months in the future weâre left off at, I would in a heartbeat. It wasn't that I was dissatisfied, quite the opposite, but more just that I feel there's unexplored opportunity that would've really done justice to the pace and world-building of the rest of the series. With the completion of this manga series, Ouran High School Host Club goes up there as one of my favorites series. Its re-readability is way up there, and its comedic tone is unmatched even today. As Jane Austenâs âNorthanger Abbeyâ is a parody of Gothic tropes, âOuran High School Host Clubâ is a parody of romantic tropes in manga, and if you like humor in your romantic shojo mangas, this is quintessential for you. The series also succeeds in helping me overcome a huge hurdle as the Haruhi/Hikaru shipper I came in as reading this: it made me not only understand, but like Haruhi and Tamaki as a couple. That alone makes it worth the read, and re-read.
[EDIT: Tumblr is apparently a money-hungry schmuck ever since they partnered with Yahoo, and because I used âOuran High School Host Clubâ as a tag, they put a Yahoo advertisement on my post like ?????? Thatâs just icky. Since Iâm obviously not going to remove the tag, I just want to say please  DONâT CLICK THE LINK BELOW THAT TUMBLR/YAHOO IS FORCING ON MY OWN PERSONAL POST. I DONâT APPROVE OF IT BEING THERE. Man, Tumblrâs really hit a new low... Anyway, thanks for reading <3 ]

Top 10 Anime That Doesnât Shamelessly Sexualise Women With Fanservice
The most awkward and annoying thing about anime is that little thing known as âfanserviceâ, moreso fanservice that creeps itâs way into shows otherwise focused on other things. Itâs what I like to call âdoing a Game of Thronesâ.
In my experience there are honestly quite a few shows that actually have confidence in their own writing, and donât feel the need to add softcore erotic moments disguised as jokes in order to desperately snag viewers and make their money back. But unfortunately, the shows that do have fanservice are now the predominant preconception of anime to outsiders, and female viewers especially can be turned off by this.
Iâll admit Iâve been guilty in the past of developing a âfanservice filterâ for shows like Kill La Kill, where I taught myself to tune out at certain moments until the show got back to showing the things I liked about it (The fights, the crazy fun tone, the characters, the intensity, and even the story eventually. Itâs not my favourite show, but I cite it as an example of me overlooking and ignoring awkward bits because there were other aspects of the show that I liked). But not everyone is willing to do that, and it really puts a barrier up to new anime watchers who understandibly just arenât comfortable with that. So with this unfortunate blight potentially lurking in any show to a new viewer, I thought Iâd make this list to make sailing these uncharted waters a little easier. I'm going by memory, so apologies if any of these shows have something in them I've forgotten about. But hereâs the top 10 anime that doesnât have panty shots, breast-orientated âgagâ moments, or other âmale gazeâ unneccesary sexual content. Iâm also excluding shows that had a moment that made me uncomfortable with any attempted âfunnyâ moments that crossed boundaries, e.g. Meliodasâs inability to keep his hands to himself in âSeven Deadly Sinsâ. (Needless to say, I hated that character).
In no particular order:
1. Princess Jellyfish / Kuragahime
âInstead of becoming a princess, I became a freak.â
âŚYes, that title sounds a tad dumb in English. But Princess Jellyfish is great character driven show about a young woman named Tsukimi with a passion for drawing and marine wildlife, specifically jellyfish, who feels that she hasnât really blossomed into the beautiful woman she was told she would grow up to. Living in the fashionable Tokyo district of Harajuku, Tsukimi sees people more beautiful than her everyday. But her life starts to be shaken up a little when she befriends a beautiful woman who isnât all that they seem.
Princess Jellyfish has the advantage of being written by a woman for a grown female audience, so thereâs no sexual pandering to teenage male viewers to be found at all here. Itâs also only 12 episodes, although the manga continues the story further. I really do recommend it for itâs likable characters and itâs simple but effective narrative.
2. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
âIn order for something to be obtained, something of equal value must be lost.â
FMA:Brotherhood is the story of two brothers living with the consequences of their failed attempt to bring their mother back to life with alchemy. Seeking to gain back what they lost from that attempt, Edward and Alphonse Elric join the military as State Alchemists, becoming a tool for whatever purpose the military desires in exchange for access to their expansive library on alchemy. However, they soon discover alot more than they intended to, along with some things they never wanted to discover.
Probably one of the most popular anime out there, with an exciting and twisting plotline that carries you through to the end of itâs 62 episode run. Now, thatâs admittedly a lot of episodes, but I can safely say that the story is worth it. Be warned that you actually have to skip episode 1 due it being a filler episode designed only for fans of the original 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist. Yes, really. The very first episode is a filler, and it even contains a subtle spoiler. So yeah, skip it, as well the recap episode halfway through. Itâs all on Netflix btw.
One slight flaw is how it occasionally jumps into a jarring cartoony art style whenever it tries to be funny, which doesnât really fit with the rest of the show, but it depends on your sense of humour whether this is a problem or not.
I recommend this show if you like adventure, action, a bit of fantasy, and suspense and mystery.
3. Death Note
âThis world is rotten, and those who are making it rot deserve to die. Someone has to do it, so why not me?â
Another popular and well known anime within the community, Death Note is the story of an overachieving high school boy named Light (it probably sounds less pretentious if youâre not English) who discovers a notebook that will cause anyone whoâs name is written in it to die. With such power in his hands, Light decides to use it to reshape the world and rid it of criminals and injustice. But what he holds in his hands is a murder weapon, and prodigal young detective L is soon on his case in the hunt to find the cause of all these mysterious new killings.
Death Note is very much a psychological thriller. In fact, thereâs basically no action scenes at all in it. The tension instead comes from the cat-and-mouse battle of wits between Light and L as they constantly try to outsmart each other. But what makes it interesting is the fact that youâre following the story of a protagonists who is pretty much a serial killer, and you actually weirdly kind of root for him. This show is also all on netflix, and is 37 episodes.
EDIT: It has been pointed out to me that the character of Misa, who works as a model, could be considered as sexualised at a few certain moments, although I would say sheâs in control of her own sexuality. Youâre welcome to your own opinions on this. But nevertheless, itâs a show that isnât riddled with fanservice shoved in your face.
4. Golden Time
âAccident or amnesia, you canât rewind your life and start again. If you struggle, youâll just hurt yourself, and the people around you.â
Due to a tragic accident, Banri Tada is struck with amnesia, dissolving the memories of his hometown and past. However, after befriending Mitsuo Yanagisawa, he decides to move on and begin a new life at law school in Tokyo. But just as he is beginning to adjust to his college life, Mitsuoâs ex-girlfriend Kouko Kaga dramatically barges into Banriâs life, and their chance meeting marks the beginning of an unforgettable year. However, the buried memories of the Banri before the accident sometimes resurface, transforming him into the person he was before with none of the memories of his current self.
Golden Time is a great mix of drama and romance, with the drama not neccesarily revolving around the romance. What I also like is that the romance isnât just a âwill they, wonât they?â, as it actually shows how the relationship plays out and how it copes under the pressure of Banriâs problems with amnesia. Plus itâs just another good story set in real life. Itâs 24 episodes
5. Attack On Titan
âAnd just like that, everything changed. At that terrible moment, in our hearts, we knew. Home was a pen. Humanity, cattle.âÂ
Living in a walled city hiding from giant strange humanoid monsters known as Titans isnât the cushiest of lives, but the struggle and fight to survive in this show is a thrilling ride. Honestly, it has some of the best action scenes that visual media has to offer, all brilliantly directed and animated. Itâs 24 episodes, though most will tell you to get to episode 5 before you write it off.
6. Madoka Magica
âRemember this⌠and take it to heart: kindness sometimes leads to even greater tragedy.â
I literally canât say anything about this without spoiling it, but make sure you watch until the end of episode 4 before judging it. Itâs also only 12 episodes in length. The best part about watching this show is that you can then show it to other people and grin evilly as you watch their reaction to itâŚ
As per the theme of this list, it doesnât have anything awkward, sexual, or immoral. All you need to know is that itâs really quite a good story, and itâs a fun cute show about magical girls. Honest!âŚ
7. Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions
"I am the eye of the wicked lord, member number zero, Rikka Takanashi!â
An entertaining show about high schoolers whoâve watched too much anime and now think they have superpowers, and have invented characters and backstories for themselves. This phase is known as âchunibyoâ in Japan. Also along for the ride is our protagonist Yuuta, whoâs already grown out of that phase but still finds himself roped into the âFar East Magical Societyâ.
It all starts off silly, but there is actually a bit meat to the story as it goes along. Best of all, it eventually leads to a really sweet relationship in the second season that actually shows a very good demonstration of consent. Yuuta wonât do anything his girlfriend isnât ready for, even if it means they canât kiss or even hold hands initially. Her delusional âchunibyoâ state also adds an interesting element to the relationship. Basically, I came out of this show all âOTPâ for them xD
Love, Chunibyo, and Other Delusions is 24 episodes long in total, including both seasons.
8. Ouran High School Host Club
âListen, Senpai, I donât really care whether you guys recognize me as a boy or a girl. In my opinion itâs more important for a person to be recognized for who they are rather than for what sex they are. â
As the only lower class student in a school for the incredibly wealthy, Haruhi has nowhere near the money to pay for the vase they accidentally breaks in the schools âHost Clubâ. (a service unique to Japan where you can basically hire time with an attractive man at a cafe and have him treat you like a lady. Yes, really.) As such, Haruhi is contracted to work off their debt at the host club and is given the job of making the female customers swoon over them. However itâs only after Haruhi is hired that the rest of the men at the host club realise that Haruhi is biologically a girl. Nevertheless, the customers donât seem to notice.
Ouran Highschool Host Club is a fun entertaining show with great likable characters, and Haruhi is the perfect neutral foil to all the personalities in the show. Itâs actually kind of funny as well, though of course humour is highly subjective. The show seems to be quite popular with female audiences, but I would say that anyone can find enjoyment from this show. This anime is 26 episodes long.
9. Wolf Children
"You might think this sounds like a fairy tale. You might even laugh at my story. You probably think that stuff like this just doesnât happen. But everything I tell you is true. This is the story about my mother, and the wolf man she fell in love with."Â
An excellent film thatâs great to just get lost in for the duration of itâs admittedly lengthy runtime. Wolf Children is the story of a woman raising two rather different children after a romantic encounter with a werewolf in human form. Unsure as to whether to raise these children as wolves or humans, the mother does her best to support them no matter the challenges. Honestly a really enjoyable movie. Recommended if you like Studio Ghibli.
10. Clannad
âI was only living because it was too much trouble to die. I got up in the morning, went to work, I ate dinner, and then I went to sleep at night. Itâs like my body was doing it out of habit.â
Clannad is probably most well known for being most anime fans first experience with the âfeels trainâ. The first season of delinquent student Tomoyaâs adventures in helping out anyone he comes across in school while ditching class, and itâs all good slice of life stuff with the occasional good moments of drama. But most people will tell you that the second season, Clannad: After Story, is where it gets into the real meat of it.
Clannad is another character driven story, with drama, romance, and a slight hint of the supernatural.
And there we have it. Overall, it was an interesting challenge making this list. There are a lot more than 10 anime that fit this criteria, but I only wanted to include the ones I thought were in the top 10. The challenge came from the fact that I chose to exclude any show that had even one instance of an uncomfortable moment. By that logic, I had to exclude Future Diary even though I love it, as well as Steins;Gate despite itâs eventually thrilling story. I even had to exclude âLove Live! School Idol Projectâ in spite of it mostly being the most innocent thing ever, all thanks to Nozomiâs imfamous âwashi washiâ scene that was basically sexual harrassment disguised a âmischieviousâ joke. (Fans actually complained about that and in response, she didnât do it at all in season 2).
However, I still recommend those shows, especially Future Diary and Steins;Gate for their plotlines, but you have to be willing to overlook just a single awkward moment in each. (maybe 3 moments for Future Diary) Anyway, I hope this was helpful :)
