Marina met a little furry friend. The lot is frequently visited by foxes (mostly because of the chickens), but not all of them are very friendly. However this particular red fox seemed to like Marina enough, and even accepted to eat some food inside!

Renee was daydreaming. She imagined her and Vincent's hot selves being transported into another world and meeting vampires, not solving this lettuce case! She has met a spellcaster and a mermaid, what if vampires exist too? "Hello? Renee?" Darius waved his hand in her face. "Sorry, this whole thing is," Renee gave a small smile. "There are animal footprints here." They comforted the old lady saying things like this happen and not to feel bad about calling. And they wrapped up the missing lettuce case in less than 5 minutes!

Lucien Week 2024: Day 2 Fox

The Forest House was a sprawling complex, Lucien informed me during the times we risked or bothered to speak to each other. It had been built in and around the trees and rocks, and only its uppermost levels were visible above the ground. Below, it tunneled a few levels into the stone. (ACOWAR, pg105)

I wonder if Lucien saw the Forest House as a shelter even from the evil within—somewhere he could escape deep below through passageways and secret paths only the Lord of Foxes knew. The House might be ran by Beron but the inner workings are remarkably similar to that of a fox’s den.

So I started working on a texture override of the cottage living foxes but turns out in @sims4studioofficial I don’t have the option to make white or grey foxes as well… only the red ones 🤷‍♀️ Any idea why ?

Also, their mesh (shape) is awful and I wish I had some 3D skills to modify that as well 😔

i have never seen a fox irl. my mom will sometimes text me pictures of foxes in her yard and say, "look how cute he is in the snow". but it doesn't change the fact that it's a picture.

i'm too old to be living like this.

Sims 4 CC: Ahsoka's Siege of Mandalore Outfit and Knight Lekku

Did I despair, curse Blender, and spend countless hours working on Ahsoka's Siege of Mandalore outfit, which was the winner of this month's patron poll? Yes.

Did I cry? No. Do I want to count the hours I actually spent on this? Also no.

Did I declare victory over my computer out loud at six in the morning as though there was any real winner here? I don't think that needs an answer.

I'll be tweaking the mesh over the next few weeks while cursing the skies. The final version will be in the public release :)

~The vulpes woman

Foxes are very present in folklore, and are often represented as mysterious, intelligent and trickster creatures. Among the most famous depictions is that of Kitsune, in Japanese folklore, in which the fox is a shapeshifter entity that takes the form of a young woman. In Slavic mythology, foxes are related to Devana, goddess of forests and hunting. She’s married to Veles, god of the underworld, herds, music, trickery and, according to some sources, poisonous mushrooms (come on, I had to mention this!). Devana is portrayed as a rebellious goddess who had an unrestrained love for her freedom, wearing her hair down (which was unacceptable for an unmarried woman). She was always accompanied by a fox or a wolf.

Foxes also play an important role in several fairy tales and fables. I am fascinated by foxes, especially the red ones (Vulpes vulpes), so I took some of these popular stories as inspiration for this photoshoot. When I immerse myself in the forest, walk barefoot and feel the nature around me, I easily dive into the creative process, adding elements of my favorite fairy tales/myths into my photos.

I also wanted to portray the loneliness of a human-fox hybrid that wanders through the forest in order to contrast the loneliness of a human living in a big city to that of a fox in the forest. From my perspective, these environments make us experience loneliness in different ways. For some reason, the loneliness in crowded cities feels much more overwhelming.

Life away from his father wasn't easy for Marina at first, and it still isn't some times. Her grandma, on the other hand, has reborn in Henford! She visited Finchwick frequently when she was young, but never lived in town. Life is full, yet relaxing! If only there weren't as many foxes trying to steal her eggs and chickens...
