So I figured if any of my characters had a piano theme song, it would be Alex, with "I Do" by Rob Costlow. Michael “Mike” C. Walker, 57, of Union Twp., passed away peacefully with his family by his side on September 11, 2022. Mike was born July 8, 1965, in Altoona, PA, to Janet Walker (nee Costlow) and the late Jack Walker Sr.

Mike was the loving husband of Lorrie Walker (nee Smith) for 35 years. Beloved father of Jordan Walker (Jessica), and Caleb Walker (Mariana). Grandfather of Emmett, Grayson, and Blakely Walker. Brother of Debbie, Sue, Denny, and Jay. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his grandson; Bennett Michael Walker.

Mike met Lorrie in kindergarten, where they started their journey and graduated as part of the Hollidaysburg Area High School Class of 1983. He was a 1987 graduate of Bob Jones University, the same year he and Lorrie married. His life revolved around his greatest bond with his grandchildren and family. His hobbies included collecting model trains, hunting in the sands of Florida for shark teeth and shells, traveling to Aruba, cheering on Pittsburgh Steelers, and learning about the great history of the United States of America.

Mike was a good father, who faithfully loved and served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He passed those beliefs on to his children and their families to do the same. In trusting Christ as their Savior, his family takes comfort in knowing that Mike has found peace in Heaven and that they will meet again.

A public visitation will be held at First Baptist Church of Glen Este, 1034 Old State Rt. 74, Batavia, OH 45103, on Sunday, September 18, 2022, from 3:00 PM until time of funeral service at 5:00 PM, where Mike was a faithful member, and served as a deacon.

Interment will take place at Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
