the den princess...
I have so many ideas.
listen if it was up to me as the long quiet... I wouldn't let the shifting mound take the experience of her split perspectives from me.
no. I'd pull back each and every single vessel and want to split MYSELF into thousands of experiences aswell.
the vessel become a narrator FOR those mound. expanding it's experience. deepening the newly born world.
as far as unchanging eternity is concerned creation does not exist... and yet through the effort of both stagnation and change the new world is thriving.
no. this new world NEEDS a story. not one not two. it needs infinite stories.
I would think it's almost like their baby in a way? except to "feed" the worlds existential "thread" for it to grow... both gods would scatter like dandelion seeds to illuminate the stories.
this world... is powered by open ended stories and it is eternal and ever changing at the same time.
as long as someone is there to read it. to think it. to change and recreate it into something new the world sustains itself.
what a wonderful creation. such a shame the shifting mound isn't whole to experience it as one entity. though I feel like she'd understand.
she'd understand why long quiet had to kill her.
no. not kill. reshape. unwind and untangle.
it may have been disrespectful at first because they spent so much time weaving that tapestry of memories together but the long quiet thought each thread deserved it's own say. if it wished to join. if it wished to stay joined.
and if the threads could spin into something of their own.
the long quiet cares for the shifting mound as a whole as much as it cares for all of her perspectives and iterations.
like she said. some of it wouldn't make logical sense. I feel like she'd understand it's reasoning for slaying her final form to split her apart again.
back at the cabin. the long quiet would hear a cry for freedom. for individuality. for contradictory paradoxes that swirl into itself.
the princess was whole. she knows what she is. all of her vessles do.
but that just means they'll finally know what to answer when each shard of the long quiet meets with each princess in the tower.
each of them would invent their own past... while the long quiet offers them choices of new possible dynamics and futures.
to face your nightmare. to tame the beast. to fell a titaness or a demi god. to all the unanswered questions that the damsel did not know. to the adversary's closure and peace with strength. to the grey and the drowned. to the wraith and to the spectre.
they all have untold stories. they wish to know themselves aswell.
I want to know them aswell.
#slay the princess#unwound tapestry#finally gonna start writing down every vessle's in worpd lore and backstory#and yes this is basically both an awakening anniversary gift and a betrayal from quiet to shift#she's furious but also extremely happy and touched from the display of apathy/devotion#they're cosmic gids they don't gotta make sense#yeah shifting mound would understand. though maybe a bit salty

"Enchanting Echoes of Mesopotamia: Unveiling Mystical Realms in Myths & Legends of Babylonia & Assyria"
Lewis Spence's "Myths & Legends of Babylonia & Assyria" transcends time, beckoning readers into the rich tapestry of ancient Mesopotamian cultures with the enchanting grace of Evelyn Paul's illustrations. the next generation episode "tapestry" makes me lose my whole entire mind for so many reasons
q saw death trying to take jean luc and his immediate reaction was "i don't fucking think so"
meanwhile, picard is entirely unfazed by his untimely demise and only starts to become distressed when q tells him they get to spend eternity together
the whole waking up sequence with q. the ear stroke. picard's stupid smile. the way he pulls the covers over his chest. the fact that he makes zero effort to either leave himself or tell q to leave. just... lies there. a little pillow-talk. simply incredible.
(it's still so funny to me that kirk is somehow the starship captain with the reputation for being a ladies' man when this episode exists)
and in the end, picard simply marvels at the level of compassion that q showed to him. the gift he realized that q gave to him--entirely without strings.
but i think the part that gets to me the most is that q doesn't show back up at the end of the episode. that's usually q's modus operandi, but we don't see him again until he shows up in "all good things" (which certainly puts q's little "you're not that important" speech in perspective!!!!!!!!) and i think it's because he realizes he's been emotionally compromised and may have revealed a bit too much!!!!!!!!
#who would win:#omnipotent cosmic entity with power beyond comprehension#or a grouchy middle-aged starship captain who likes poetry rocks and horses#q realized he would have to try and Explain Himself if he stuck around#'just because i brought you back from the dead doesn't mean that i like you'#some casual platonic resurrection nbd#jean luc picard#q star trek#star trek tng#star trek tng: tapestry#qcard

"Epic Majesty: John Milton's 'Paradise Lost' and the Theological Tapestry of the Human Condition"
John Milton's "Paradise Lost" stands as an unparalleled epic that delves into the cosmic realms of theology, morality, and the human experience. Published in 1667, this monumental work continues to resonate across centuries, offering readers an expansive canvas upon which the grand tapestry of creation, rebellion, and redemption unfolds. The title itself evokes the poignant irony of a paradise lost and the intricate theological explorations that define Milton's magnum opus.
The narrative centers on the biblical tale of the Fall of Man, tracing the events from Satan's rebellion in Heaven to Adam and Eve's expulsion from the Garden of Eden. Milton's blank verse is a majestic river of language, a flowing current that navigates through the celestial and terrestrial landscapes with a divine eloquence. The poetic richness and rhythmic cadence of Milton's verses contribute to the epic grandeur of the work, elevating it to the status of one of the greatest literary achievements in the English language.
At the heart of "Paradise Lost" lies the enigmatic figure of Satan, a rebellious angel whose defiance of God sets in motion the cosmic drama. Milton's portrayal of Satan is complex and multifaceted, challenging readers to grapple with questions of free will, pride, and the nature of evil. The character of Satan becomes a tragic figure, a charismatic and flawed entity whose rebellion is fueled by a misguided sense of autonomy.
Milton's exploration of Adam and Eve, the first human couple, adds another layer to the theological discourse. Their innocence, fallibility, and subsequent expulsion from Eden become symbolic of the broader human experience—caught between the desire for knowledge and the consequences of disobedience. The interplay between free will, temptation, and the inevitability of divine judgment forms the thematic backbone of the narrative.
"Paradise Lost" also engages with profound theological questions, reflecting Milton's own Puritan convictions and his dissent against the hierarchical structure of the Church of England. The work contemplates the nature of God, the problem of evil, and the redemptive power of divine grace. Milton's theological stance, however, remains dynamic, allowing for diverse interpretations and sparking scholarly debates on the nuances of his religious beliefs.
The epic's enduring appeal lies not only in its theological depth but also in its universal themes that transcend religious boundaries. Milton's exploration of the human condition—its aspirations, flaws, and the perennial struggle between good and evil—resonates with readers across cultures and time periods. "Paradise Lost" serves as a testament to the enduring power of literature to grapple with fundamental questions of existence.
In conclusion, John Milton's "Paradise Lost" is a literary colossus that stands at the intersection of theology, philosophy, and literature. The title encapsulates the essence of the narrative—an epic portrayal of the cosmic struggle between divine order and human agency. Milton's poetic brilliance and profound exploration of theological themes ensure that "Paradise Lost" remains an ever-relevant masterpiece that invites readers to ponder the complexities of the human condition and the timeless quest for meaning in a world marked by both paradise and loss.
John Milton's "Paradise Lost" is available in Amazon in paperback 16.99$ and hardcover 24.99$ editions.

A Tapestry of Dreams: A Wanderer's Tale of Beauty Across Worlds
Hark, gentle listener, and lend thine ear to a tale of love and wonder, a tale that spans the ages and traverses the realms of dreams. I am but a humble wanderer, a traveler through time and space, a witness to the ephemeral beauty that dances between the stars.
