This piece is a New Year’s gift for a staunch friend who has often been the Tech to my Wrecker in the best ways for many months now 💀⚡️. Are you sure that's still Kennedi screaming? She (or, rather, her unconscious - and hopefully not lifeless - body) and her molten wreck of a Caliban have been with us at MSMC-148's drop site for like two hours now, waiting for pickup. Slipshod managed to pry your casket outta that slag heap you used to call a Genghis Mk. 1 and get you connected to a "life support" of sorts on one of their backup generators, but if you can still hear Kennedi's voice screaming bloody murder at you, then your systems might be fried worse than we thought. (No clue if that sort of thing is fixable or not...)

Hopefully the Albatross will be here soon. Our distress beacon is still up and running, and they should more than have our coordinates by now. We'll all be out of here soon. (I hope.)

in the pirate au, does mario make any appearances outside of being related to the plot, if that makes any sense? was curious that since mario plays a pretty big role in the synopsis, he would make some sorta appearance in the storyline

More specifically the 8 Detachments yes there will be 8 as said in the video: https://www.warhammer-community.com/2024/03/21/adepticon-2024-chaos-space-marines-on-the-warpath/ From the interview (starting at 2:35) and the written description we have gotten 6 of them 1) Word Bearers 3:21 which is the Index one given    2) Red Corsairs Piratical Raiders mentioned in writing 3) Alpha Legion 2:43 mentioned sneaky 4) Iron Warriors 3:13 tank focused 5) Daemon engines 2:40 most likely the Devotees of Vashtorr one mentioned in writing  6) Cultist Horde 2:38 most likely Lost & the Damned inspired Of the last two though nothing 7) Night Lords nothing brought up or confimed anywhere but I'm guessing very focused on units that Fly 8) So the final it is either Black Legion focused, or Emperor's Children Noise Marine focused with the idea that the Black Legion is all of them.
