Cookie would have a rabid raccoon.
Rourke has a Maine Coon (they're big and they can seem to have two different personalities)(I have one)
Sweet has a ragdoll/Norwegian mix. (Imposing presence, but actually quite friendly)(i also have one of these)
Packard has a black cat of some kind. Don't ask why. Because she can. She's a badass like that.
Helga has a Siamese. Somehow that just seems to fit.
Audrey has a stray tabby that wandered into the garage one day and never left.
Milo has his Persian.
And Mole brought in a mole and called it a cat.
Kida has a domesticated panther or lion.
Trying to get some dopamine into my brain so I imagined the Atlantis: The Lost Empire cast with cats. We already know that Milo loves cats since he had Fluffy but what about everyone else? What would the cat’s personalities be like?
…Why do I feel like Cookie would adopt a possum and call it a cat? Or better yet his cat just looks like this.

Actually, I take it back, that’s Vinny’s cat. 🤣

Meet Team Atlantis
Find out cool facts about the brave explorers who go in search of the lost city of Atlantis!
In 1914, a young adventurer named Milo Thatch dreamed of completing his grandfather's quest to find the legendary lost city of Atlantis. Though some people thought Milo was crazy, a wealthy businessman agreed to sponsor Milo's expedition. Milo joined a group of daredevil explorers on a dangerous mission that took them under the sea and to the center of the Earth.
MILO JAMES THATCH Team position: Linguist, major brainiac. Age: 32. Birthplace: Fishkill, New York. Education: Earned doctorate degrees in linguistic theory and dead languages from Oxford University in England. Major accomplishments: Graduated from high school at age 11; ranked as one of the world's best linguists; translated ancient documents that reveal the location of Atlantis. Best trait: Milo never gives up. Worst trait: Love of work doesn't leave much time for a social life; best friend is his Persian cat, Fluffy. Secret dream: Milo's one and only dream is not so secret: Find Atlantis. Biggest fear: That he might be wrong—that Atlantis doesn't really exist.
LYLE TIBERIUS ROURKE Team position: Expedition commander, serious dude. Age: 54. Birthplace: Beaumont, Texas. Education: Graduated second in his class from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point (in New York). Major accomplishments: Led the charge in tons of famous battles as an Army captain; won awards for leadership and heroism; saved the life of his commanding officer. Best trait: Total focus on his mission. Worst trait: A cruel streak—and quick temper! Both make him a little scary. Secret dream: To make lots of money. Biggest fear: That he might actually fail on a mission.
HELGA KATRINA SINCLAIR Team position: Second in command. Age: 30. Birthplace: Frankfurt, Germany. Education: Studied with famous martial arts and weapons experts around the world; trained in military tactics and firearms under Commander Rourke. Major accomplishments: One of only three living people to beat Commander Rourke in both unarmed combat and chess. Best trait: Intelligent and cool under pressure. Worst trait: Can seem icy and unfriendly. Secret dram: To fight someone (or something) that's a real challenge. Biggest fear: What is fear?
[page break]
Meet Team Atlantis
GAETAN MOLIÉRE Team position: Geologist, mineralogist, tunneling expert. Age: 39. Birthplace: Paris, France. Education: Became interested in tunneling by exploring the sewers beneath Paris as a kid; went to college at the Sorbonne; left school to become a miner. Major accomplishments: One of the world's best geologists; can tell where dirt is from by tasting it. Best trait: A master problem-solver and inventor. Worst trait: He likes dirt so much, he hardly bathes. Secret dream: To burrow to the center of the Earth. Biggest fear: Being forced to take a bath.
WILHELMINA BERTHA PACKARD Team position: Communications expert, chatterbox. Age: 61. Birthplace: Whippany, New Jersey. Education: Worked as a research assistant to several famous inventors—and married most of them (including Chichester Bell, cousin of telephone inventor Alexander Graham Bell). Major accomplishments: Helped develop several major communications devices, including the radio, batteries and a "talking machine" (the ancestor to the CD player). Best trait: Unflappable sense of humor. Worst trait: Can be too chatty, even in the face of disaster. Secret dream: To finally find the love of her life. Biggest fear: Static.
AUDREY ROCIO RAMIREZ Team position: Mechanic, hothead. Age: 18. Birthplace: Dearborn, Michigan. Education: Began rebuilding engines in her father's car-repair shop at the age of 5; took a job at the Henry Ford Automotive Plant at the age of 9. Major accomplishments: Helped invent new gearing, steering and cooling systems for cars at Ford. Best trait: Spunky and smart. Worst trait: A short temper that gets even shorter when all the equipment keeps breaking down. Secret dream: To build a flying car. Biggest fear: That she'll get caught without her toolbox.
VINCENZO "VINNY" SANTORINI Team position: Demolitions, expert. Age: 38. Birthplace: Palermo, Italy. Education: Learned all about explosives on his own—and has a childhood full of blown up buildings to prove it. Major accomplishments: Can create the right kind of explosion for every occasion. Best trait: Stays relaxed, despite his dangerous job. Worst trait: A passion for practical jokes; seems to like blowing things up just a bit too much. Secret dream: To one day create the perfect explosion. Biggest fear: Working in the family business—a florist's shop!
DR. JOSHUA STRONGBEAR SWEET Team position: Medical officer. Age: 42. Birthplace: Bigelow, Kansas. Education: Earned degrees in medicine, botany (the study of plants) and herbology; learned Native American medicine from his uncle Iron Cloud, an Arapaho medicine man. Major accomplishments: Served as a battlefield surgeon with Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders; treated soldiers on both sides. Best trait: Strong as a grizzly, gentle as a teddy bear. Worst trait: No one's found it yet. Secret dream: To find a cure for all diseases. Biggest fear: Small spaces.
"COOKIE" FARNSWORTH Team position: Cook. Age: 72. Birthplace: Tulsa, Oklahoma. Education: Served as a sharpshooter in the Civil War; became a U.S. Army cook, feeding hundreds with almost no supplies. Major accomplishments: Was General George Custer's personal chef; became a chef at New York's Waldorf-Astoria Hotel; owned his own restaurant. Best trait: Can make shoe leather taste good—and he probably has. Worst trait: The military has made him tough—so complain about the food at your own risk! Secret dream: To invent something called "fast-food." Biggest fear: Running out of flour.

ok sorry you may already know this but in a post in like june i think you said mulder isn’t color blind WRONG he is confirmed red-green color blind in wetwired S3EP8
-a fellow ex files fanatic
p.s have a cookie 🍪
Hey!!! I did end up making a post about this, cannon is wrong not me, i am aware that this is establish in s3e23 wetwired❤️ i don’t feel like digging through my blog to find it so ill just reiterate myself: it doesn’t make logical sense for him to be red/green color blind. In either colony or endgame or both (i cant remember off the too of my head) he can tell the difference between green “alien blood” and red human blood, so he is not red green color blind as he does not perceive one as the other and can clearly see the distinction (it does happen other times in cannon but i dont feel like digging through the wiki rn)
Edit: also if he were color blind enough not to be able to perceive the colors in wetwired he would’ve failed a Farnsworth D-15 test and not be allowed to be in the FBI it was a throw away line plot device that they didn’t think through

Notes on a BOTW/TOTK Atlantis: The Lost Empire au
Milo Thatch - Zelda -> it just makes more sense for her personality to make her the passionate scholar rather than the warrior princess.
Kida Nedakh - Link -> less an actual prince and more of an out-of-time wild child who was taken in by the king and queen.
Preston Whitmore - Impa
Commander Lyle Rourke - Ganondorf
Lieutenant Helga Sinclair - Riju -> much less overtly villainous than Helga, and in fact turns against Ganondorf pretty quickly once he lays a hand on the royal family. She's also not the one who recruits Zelda; Paya is the one who takes Helga's role in that particular instance.
Dr. Joshua Sweet - Sidon -> the Zora have healing powers and he is one gigantic sweetheart.
Audrey Rocio Ramirez - Tulin -> young airship mechanic. Teba was part of the expedition that found the Journal/Tablet.
Vincenzo "Vinny" Santorini - Yunobo -> because of the whole explosions thing, though the personality is drastically different.
Gaëtan "Mole" Molière - Josha -> up the child prodigy aspect rather than Mole's overwhelming weirdness (given that Josha is the head of the Depths investigation team this just makes sense to me).
Wilhemina Packard - Purah
Jebidiah "Cookie" Farnsworth - Robbie -> these two are undercover as the communications officer and cook respectively and were in fact tasked by Impa to keep an eye on Ganondorf (all those moments where Packard is gossiping with her friend Marge instead of watching comms? That's Purah reporting directly to Impa through code); they take over the expedition after Ganondorf betrays everyone.
Kakeshim Nedakh - Rauru -> create a role for Mineru - makes more sense for her to become queen after Rauru's death than for Link to become king.
The Queen - Sonia
The Leviathan is either the Colgera or a giant Flux Construct. Maybe even a literal Divine Beast.
I am open to better ideas.

On Milo, yes. BUT he's not just a swimmer. Given how modest we know he is, and how casually he says "Oh I swim pretty good" before holding his breath for an inhuman amount of time and keeping right up with Kida and not being completely exhausted after it all, I'd say he's WAY understating his ability. The reality? Milo gets in the pool and it turns out he's a male Katie Ledecky (INSANELY good American swimmer)
My Rourke is there watching, wearing a bedazzled-as-fuck shirt supporting Milo that he personally hates (he's not a fan of bedazzled anything on him), but he's wearing it anyway because Milo got this huge happy smile on his face when Audrey had Rourke wear it for him after she made it (she made them for everyone) and he loves seeing Milo smile. And as soon as Milo gets out of the pool after each race, Rourke runs over and hugs him. Especially if he just won gold.
Boxing is indeed a thing. I gave it to Audrey, though, and figured she'd have stories of training with her sister and having it as their special sister activity.
Rourke could definitely do wrestling or weightlifting, though. He definitely seems like a guy who can probably lift his own over-250-pound body weight. He could also probably do good on the rugby team.
They do have a few different types of shooting, so Helga would probably do that. (She's hella tall for a gymnast at about 6 feet)
Kida would do either a martial art (judo, karate, or taekwondo), something track & field (javelin comes to mind), or sport climbing)
Mole is busy trying to convince the IOC to make digging an Olympic sport.
The others are all great!
Dammit, @thetinyadventurer now you have me thinking about random nonsense Atlantis things. I'm trying to think what each person would be in at the Olympics (I was watching it on TV)

So I wrote another fanfiction that isn't freela centric as I'm trying to prove to everyone that I care about the other Futurama characters.
This fic was originally going to be completely different, but I disapprove writing out of character actions.
So please enjoy my work.
@a-love-that-transcends-all @ladybender @capt-t-leela
The 1950s Change
Planet Express deliveries rarely went smoothly, but this time had been particularly bad. The crew had been tasked with delivering a suspiciously heavy package to the remote planet of Everwood-9, a seemingly quaint, 1950s-themed colony. The mission had gone sideways when the locals—who, as it turned out, were hostile robots programmed to enforce an outdated version of "proper manners"—deemed Fry and Bender "improper."
A fight broke out, leading to Fry getting thrown against a neon jukebox, cracking his ribs and earning a nasty concussion. Bender barely managed to drag him back to the ship while Leela fought off the mechanized housewives wielding rolling pins like medieval maces.
They barely escaped, but something had changed in Leela.
Days passed, and the crew noticed Leela acting... strangely. At first, they chalked it up to stress or guilt over Fry’s injuries, but things escalated quickly. She stopped wearing her usual tank top and boots, replacing them with pastel-colored dresses, pearls, and an unsettlingly perfect smile. She greeted the crew with eerily polite phrases like, "Oh, dearest friends, what a pleasure it is to see you on this fine day!" instead of her usual sarcasm.
When Amy, Hermes, and Zoidberg decided to check on her, they found her apartment completely transformed. The once-modern space had become a perfect replica of a 1950s suburban dream home—checkered floors, floral wallpaper, and a smell of freshly baked cookies that seemed to come from nowhere.
As they stepped inside, an old record player crackled to life.
The sweet, haunting harmonies of The Lennon Sisters drifted through the air, sending shivers down their spines.
Leela appeared in the doorway, wearing a pink polka-dot dress, her hair in perfect curls.
"I know, I know, you belong to somebody new..."
She swayed slightly to the music, hands clasped neatly in front of her.
"But tonight, you belong to me..."
Amy shot a nervous glance at Hermes. "Okay, this is officially creepy as hell."
Zoidberg sniffed. "I think it’s charming! Except for the crushing existential dread I feel in my shell."
"Leela," Hermes said carefully, "what in Rastafarian hell is going on with you?"
Leela giggled. It was light, airy—wrong. "Why, Hermes, I’m simply embracing a better way of life! Isn’t it wonderful?"
Amy reached out cautiously. "Leela, come on, this isn’t like you. You don’t even like baking!"
Leela’s eye twitched for a moment, but the unsettling smile remained.
"Perhaps I was simply mistaken about myself," she said sweetly.
That was enough for them to hightail it back to Planet Express.
Professor Farnsworth ran every test he could on Leela to see if that planet done something to her—brain scans, blood work, even one of his more "ethically questionable" experiments—but found nothing.
"Good news, everyone! Leela is completely fine. Just completetly insane."
"That’s not good news!" Fry groaned, clutching his bandaged ribs as he sat up. He had been growing increasingly distressed over Leela’s behavior. She barely acknowledged him beyond shallow, sugary phrases, and when he tried to talk to her alone, she’d just hum along to 1950s tunes and offer him lemonade.
Bender, ever the opportunist, had gone snooping and managed to snag Leela’s diary.
"I swiped this while she was busy baking another apple pie. A robot can only pretend to enjoy that garbage for so long."
Amy snatched it from him and flipped through the pages. Her face paled. "Oh no..."
"What? What is it?" Fry asked, moving closer.
Amy read aloud:
"I should have been able to protect him. If I had been better, stronger, smarter, Fry wouldn’t have gotten hurt. But no matter what I do, I always mess up. It's all my fault my boyfriend was injured. I’ve always been different, and I’ve always been judged for it. I don’t want to be different anymore. I don’t want to be wrong anymore. Maybe if I change, people will finally accept me."
Fry swallowed hard. He remembered how often Leela had been treated unfairly—how she was mocked as a kid in the orphanarium, how people constantly underestimated her despite everything she did. And now, her guilt had driven her to create this warped version of herself, one she thought people would finally approve of.
"We have to help her," Fry said firmly. "I don’t care if she thinks she’s happy like this—I know she isn’t."
Breaking the Façade
That night, they all went to Leela’s apartment. She greeted them with the same unsettling Stepford Wife smile, setting out a tray of cookies.
"You must try them! I made them with love," she chirped.
"Leela, knock it off," Amy snapped. "We know what you’re doing."
Leela’s smile faltered for a split second before she laughed—light, airy, unnatural. "Oh, Amy, you’re so silly."
"You’re acting crazy, woman!" Hermes interjected. "You can’t just erase who you are because you feel guilty!"
Leela’s eye twitched again. "I have no idea what you mean."
"You’re scaring us," Zoidberg added.
Silence.
Then, Fry stepped forward, his voice soft. "Leela... you don’t have to do this."
She didn’t respond, just stared at him with that frozen smile.
He took her hands in his. "I don’t love this version of you."
Leela’s breath hitched.
"I love you," he continued. "The real you. The one who’s strong, who fights, who never gives up. The one who yells at me when I do something dumb and then saves my ass anyway. The one who finally dates me after many tries. The one who’s Leela."
For the first time, her expression cracked. Her lower lip trembled.
"But... but what if—"
"It doesn’t matter," Fry interrupted gently. "You don’t have to be perfect. You’re already amazing the way you are."
A choked sob escaped her. Then another. And suddenly, she was crying—deep, wracking sobs as she collapsed against Fry’s chest.
The record player skipped and fell silent.
The pastel-perfect illusion around them seemed to dim as Leela shook in Fry’s arms, the weight of everything crashing down.
"It’s okay," Fry whispered. "We’re here. I’m here."
Amy and the others moved in, surrounding her in quiet support. Even Bender, who would normally mock such an emotional display, just patted her on the back and muttered, "There, there. It’s not like I care or anything."
Leela sniffled, looking around at them.
"...You guys aren’t mad?"
"Of course not, mon," Hermes said. "We’re your crew."
Zoidberg beamed. "And I’ve always wanted a loving family!"
Amy rolled her eyes but smiled. "We just want you back."
Leela wiped her eye and let out a shaky laugh. "I think... I think I’m ready to come back now."
Fry squeezed her hand. "Welcome home."
And for the first time in days, Leela truly smiled.
The End.
