Hi, thanks so much for the id! I’m one of Cookie’s caretakers with an interest in cat coat genetics, (though I’m not very knowledgable!) and I was wondering if you’d be able to answer a couple quick follow-up questions? No worries if not though :)

Cookie doesn’t seem to have the obvious stripes typical of Mackerel tabbies on her body, at least not that I’m able to see. Do some Mackerel tabbies have more subtle stripe patterns?

Cookie also has a blonde/golden layer of fur underneath the top layer, next to her skin. Is this just rufousing, or some other cat genetic phenomenon?
