“Want to talk about it?” Casey asked when they were nearly done their beers, having gone through most of the casual conversation topics.

“I’m going to need to be at least fifty percent drunker for that conversation,” Tommy informs him. “Maybe seventy percent.”

“We can do that,” Casey said, then made his way to the bar again. He returned with the same order as earlier, though the whiskey was now at least a double, if not a triple.

Casey distracted him with stories of baby eagles and a dispensary hostage situation while Tommy drank his whiskey and worked his way towards telling Casey what had happened with Evan.
