Some time later, the Control Devil tried to rob humanity of its free will for the sake of making a perfect world. She died in the attempt.

Now, everyone in special division four is wants something. Lute seeks revenge, Vaggie wants to know who she is, and Charlie dreams of peace between devils and humanity. And Adam?

Adam is going to save the world.

Personal headcanon about the "you picked the wrong dellamorte" line, I don't think illario actually likes rook outside the context of them being someone close to lucanis. Like rook on their own isn't much to him, but when they meet it's yet another person talking about his cousin (why isn't he good enough for whatever job they're hiring for?) and on top of that they somehow bring him back from the dead (another whole can of worms for illario). Now he starts turning on the charm, but whether he's actually interested or this is just one more thing his cousin has that he doesn't and it gets under his skin, who knows. Either way, rook ignores illario, the guy who lives off his charm, and is instead interested in the guy who's never even dated before and thinks giving someone a knife is how to flirt. Infuriating

NO THANK YOU !! i am genuinely sorry if i have ever implied illario is into rook like i see some takes about it and unless it like ties into your rook's personal backstory i don't seriously think he's romantically jealous. at all. my enjoyment of that line stems from illario's pathological need to make it about himself and not see his strengths but what lucanis has, and therefore what he doesn't. he's annoyed enough to try and goad you in the middle of a fight about the 'wrong' dellamorte and completely blind to the fact that the venatori are at best, a stupid fucking alliance, and at worst, a cult that will devour the crows from the inside out and illario would have been the one to give them the keys. he sees lucanis make allies, needs his own, and instead of charming the other talons/houses as he should, he (probably spitefully) picks the venatori. or maybe he just thought it would be easier. ugh he makes me want to telekenetically throw him around

Time travel fix-it AU where everyone in the batfam came back from a dystopic future where the rest of the family died in some way so now they're back to try and fix it. Thing is each of them lived through different versions of the timeline and none of their catastrophes match. It would be really easy to figure out but they've decided to pretend nothing happened and act as if they're not from the future. They would also have noticed everyone else acting weird if they weren't so focused on hiding their own weirdness and dismissing the changes as "they must have been like that before and I don't remember".

It all ends with the Spider-Men pointing meme and the realization that they no longer know what's going to happen because they've changed it all without communicating so they don't know what the others did or if it undoes what they tried to prevent?

Now imagine if one of them wasn't from the future and was just watching it all develop in a 😐.

like, let’s say, demigod hermione granger (child of athena, duh) who religiously goes to camp every summer since she found out she was a demigod. let’s also say she misses a whole year at hogwarts to help with the two wars. and then she come back after a year of being missing for all intents and purposes, with the trauma of a war veteran and pissed off beyond comprehension that there’s a third war she needs to go through

Finally, as the last whispers of wind left Charlie’s sails and she resigned herself to enduring the barrage of insults, Lute snarled, “You don’t actually give a shit about humanity, do you? A careless cunt like you is just going to get people killed until a devil does us all a favor and takes you out.”

Charlie’s head snapped back up, the fire in her eyes flaring back to life.

It was nothing compared to the fury that engulfed Vaggie. She shoved herself in front of Charlie, spreading her wings wide to further hide her from Lute’s eyes, and snapped, “Don’t you fucking talk to her life that!”

Lute staggered a step back, her familiar, horrible, heartless eyes turning wide and shining.

She didn’t look angry.

She didn’t look scared.

Vaggie wouldn’t have cared if she did. She didn’t give a fuck what that sadistic cunt felt. Human or not, her feelings ceased to matter when she decided to turn the only decent person among the lot of them into a punching bad for no fucking reason.

“The Sand Devil was a monster!” she shouted, her words burning with an acid strong enough to make a blatant falsehood constructed on the spot sound like the solemn truth. “We couldn’t afford to fuck around and try to save its body. Charlie killed it and it turned into sand. You’re standing here talking about humanity, are you saying that she should have let people die so Public Safety would have another corpse to play around with!?"

Okay, there's a trend in some fic or headcanons for Anakin to give some traumatising details of his life before he came to the Jedi, like some serious physical abuse. And I'm not saying this is wrong because physical abuse/injury/death happened to enslaved people onscreen in canon. However, I think there is a tendency to use physical abuse or a specific horrific incident to really showcase (mostly to other characters) of how terrible Anakin's life was in slavery. (For some reason, I've seen it with the clones quite often which is a whole other kettle of fish)

What I would prefer to see is Anakin having pretty much the same standard of living as the poorer people on Tatooine. Yes, water is scarce, he gets fed but can never really eat as much as he wants, and medical stuff is treated mostly by home remedies unless it's a serious injury like loss of a limb. Not a great standard of living but not terrible either. Watto is not a great boss but he's happy as long as the work gets done and is lenient about the hours and the work.

But he's enslaved. His life is not his own, he has no real choices and there is no security in his future. His life has revolved around his mother and any day he could be split up from her and never see her again, never to know what has happened to her. Watto could gamble too big and one of them is sold to pay his debts. Watto dies one day and the two of them are sold to someone worse or split up. The bomb in their body malfunctions and it explodes. There is no freedom, no choice and no security. And that is the trauma in Anakin's life. Something which is harder to explain and to address, but there all the same.

I feel like I'm not explaining it well, but it seems as if quite a lot of the time fanon gives Anakin horrifying stories about his time as a slave, either stuff that happens to him or his mother or the people around him. But I would love to see more fic/fandom stuff that focuses on the fact that slavery itself, the mindset and the sheer powerlessness of the situation, is the abuse. Yes, there can be emotional, physical or sexual abuse happening to the people enslaved, but from what we saw on screen or page, Watto didn't really do any of that to Anakin (as far as I remember) and that doesn't matter. Watto could be the kindest, most generous person to Shmi and Anakin and it wouldn't matter in the long run because he was still their enslaver and their lives were not their own. And that doesn't need any more abuse to be horrifying all on its own.

There is an augmented weapon running around, and it's clearly a pomegranate, I've seen pomegranates before and trust me, this one's different. I'm actually rather surprised you didn't get like, any reports from your soldiers or anything.

This one's far too tall, can fly, and I've seen them with some weird ahh holy sword before. I've got a rosary here in my pocket and they didn't like, convulse or like have any reaction to it when I got close. No seriously, I swear on my grave when I say that not much happened.
