what if i made a silly little dao-style gift guide/list for lleyth like they were an actual da companion haha. just kidding. unless... 😳
💛 LOVES gifts (Lleyth approves +10)
"Oh wow, this is... for me? Really? Oh! I... I don't even know what to say. It's lovely. I love it. Thank you."
9:44 Rialto Bay Reserve A luxury Antivan mulled wine, highly desired for it's silky texture and unusually high alcohol content. Finely aged with hints of orange peel & cloves.
Raven Feather Hairpin A handcrafted silverite hairpin fashioned in the shape of a feather.
Sea Dragon Emerald Tea A velvet pouch of dried assorted herbs and spices, this Rivaini loose-leaf tea blend is popular for it's unique aromatic taste and stress-relieving qualities. Often sold at market stalls in Llomerryn.
Artisan Journal Set An expertly crafted journal made from aged Antivan leather. Adorned with an intricate embroidered pattern and a gemstone latch. Comes with an engraved crow-feather fountain pen & purple satin bookmark.
💛 LIKES gifts (Lleyth approves +5)
"Interesting. This is for me? How thoughtful of you, thank you. I'll have to find a good place for this..."
It Was An Accident: The Auspicious Art of Botany, Bombs & Botulism An absurdly large book with resources on various alchemy recipes, ingredients, tinkering blueprints, and various "hypothetical" ways to "accidentally" kill people. Banned from the shelves of most respectable retailers.
Thing-On-A-String Well, it's certainly a thing— and on a string, no less. Some might say it resembles some kind of fuzzy worm, but any practical value it may hold is unclear.
Sketchy Charcoal Set A standard set of tools found in the repertoire of many artists. There's something a little shady about this one, though.
Preserved Snake Head The skeletal remains of a an adder snake bearing its fangs, cast in resin to prevent damage to the delicate structure. Kinda creepy.
🖤 PRANK gifts (Lleyth disapproves -5)
"Oh. That's... nice. Thanks, I suppose."
You're Not Alone: A Beginner's Guide to Sobriety A self-help book found on the shelf of a Chantry archive. For when an intervention requires a more subtle approach.
The Fifth Talon in Oil by Lalo Amicci, 9:46 An unsettlingly accurate oil painting of the Fifth Talon of the Antivan Crows. It's judgmental eyes and perpetually annoyed scowl seem to follow the viewer around the room...
💔 HATES gifts (Lleyth disapproves -10)
I... and you're giving me this because...? ...No, nevermind. Forget I said anything. I think it looks better with you, honestly. Keep it. I insist.
Halla Statue A small figurine of a Halla sculpted from Sylvanwood. There are intricate runic patterns carved into it.
Toy Aravel A simplistic miniature aravel made of wood and cloth. A children's toy commonly found among the Dalish.

Steel in Her Veins, Prologue
Table of Contents | Next Chapter
Characters: Fem!Reader x Roronoa Zoro.
Synopsis:
Your name is Kozuki Raya, but no one calls you by that name anymore. Using the alias of Tenguyama Raya as advised by your grandfather, you are the descendant of the legendary swordsmith Kotetsu and a distant friend of the Shimotsuki clan.
Following in your ancestor’s footsteps, you dedicate your life to the mastery of sword crafting, wielding, and learning. With much of your life being taught by gramps Sukiyaki, you realise that the dormant power, ancient knowledge and ancestral secrets that thrum within your veins start to play a very important role in the way the future world is shaped.
Meeting the Straw Hats was not written anywhere within your blueprints, but – most importantly - meeting Roronoa Zoro wasn’t supposed to change the trajectory of your life either.
Prologue
"She's passed on, young man."
A weathered voice croaks out from behind one of the passing fruit stalls. The shadowed man lingers from the safety of his merchandise, the scorching sun missing only by a small inch from kissing his leathered skin.
Gritting his teeth, Zoro aimlessly turns around whilst sheathing the limping metal back to her home. Does anyone keep their fucking thoughts to themselves anymore? He mutters in his head.
“You really should let her go," the man eggs on with such a proud voice that it almost flows against the direction of the wind, against the grain of the public. As Zoro stands within the mingling market, with bundles of crowds gracing the pavements around him with their excited chatter, only but this old voice advances stronger than the rest, almost resting too clearly and proudly within the shell of Zoro’s ears.
Zoro kisses his teeth and whips his head at the direction of the sound again, finally being able to spot the silhouette to the voice - right there. The shadow with hands that slice through those blood red apples with an abnormally jagged knife. Zoro narrows his eye at the blurred figure, trying to figure it out.
“Tsch, fruit guy. Butt out, yeah?” He grumbles, shooting him a disdainful side eye. Crossing his arms in defiance, Zoro stays in his position like the good lap dog he seems to be turning into; if Luffy wasn’t so intent on him coming on this bloody island, he would’ve been able to rest. And to be able look at his poor, wounded sword in peace without dealing with so many wandering eyes.
In an instant, the old man cracks out in laughter, his voice bellowing out in clear tides. His shadowed arms grasp at his belly, a large-lipped smile peering out of his shelter. Feisty one, I see…Is she special to you?”
The she in mention begins to hum weakly against the side of the green-head’s hip, whimpering and struggling, almost as if trying to reply. With an irritated twitch of his eyebrow, Zoro finally gives in to gape straight-on at the old geezer.
“It’s an it, not a she, dumbass. Swords have one purpose only; this one has simply served it,” Zoro snaps, straining his eyes even further to try to look at this peculiar man.
With a broken pang, the sword sheathed by his side begins to twinge again, but in an octane lower - and somehow, Zoro can feel it in his own core; he knows what the thrum of metal tugged across his leg is trying to say – the sword feels hurt by his own stupid words.
In a snap, Zoro's hand carefully rests over her head.
“Looks like you’re caressing her to me.”
“Shut up! Who even asked for your opinion?" Zoro growls, immediately yanking his hand away from his hip. The odd merchant simply guffaws in response.
Tsk. How dare he decide whether his sword was fit for battle or not?
“I’m not here to judge you, green-hair, but it simply looks to me that you have a bond with that scrap of metal. Come here.”
“I’m not in the mood, gramps. Go sell your damn apples to someone else.”
“I see. I suppose you would waste their time, anyway…”
Although Zoro’s ears are now perked by the ‘them’ in question, he keeps his eye shut tight and remains silent; he’s not going to give into this fraud’s tactics in getting a reaction from him. Hmph.
The merchant continues, quite obviously enjoying his jest with the bull-headed swordsman. “You know, that swordsmith. What was her name again…Penguyama? Tenguyummy? Tengushimmy…?”
Zoro stares at him blankly.
Clearly, this geezer is overestimating Zoro’s intelligence.
The small hints of names he’s throwing out is completely flying right past the swordman’s head, seeing how it seems like no one’s at home. Literally no light bulbs are screwed on properly up there.
Another second passes where they both stare, bewildered by one another. The old, short man clears his throat.
“Pardon my language…But you seem quite dense.”
“Fuck you! You’re the one who’s talking in riddles!”
“I. Help. You. With. Sword.” The merchant slowly enunciates, using his fingers to imitate the words coming out of his mouth.
“Come.” He points obnoxiously with his finger at the incline into the hills. “Person. Makes. Swords…They. Help.”
“Stop talking to me as if I’m slow!?”
“Pfft, you could’ve fooled me.” The merchant giggles like a child.
“Are you begging me to slice you in half?” Zoro shouts, childishly stomping towards the fruit stall.
But then, something very odd happens; as Zoro manages to look at gramps clearly for the first time, he freezes in his spot.
Indeed, it is a weathered old man leaning behind a stack of his precious fruits. With silver hair brushed across his shoulders, his unwavering smile greets the samurai with an odd sense of confidence.
But that isn’t what makes Zoro stop in his track, no, it’s what he says next. The next six words that comes out of the old man’s mouth…his awfully jagged knife limply resting over his knuckles, a knowing glint striking across his well-travelled eyes… all of it sounds self-assured.
“I’d like to see you try.”
Zoro doesn’t know what it is about this guy in front of him, but it just makes him stop. His mouth fails to open to retort something offensive – instead, he simply cocks his head to the side.
He doesn’t know whether it’s the knife that he’s masterfully twirling across the both of his hands, or if it’s the familiarity of his face – those eyes, hasn’t he seen the same ones before? – but something about him makes Zoro pause for a moment.
Gramps smiles wider, indenting his wrinkles further like ripples scattering across water, and rises one thick grey eyebrow at him.
“Now, then. Are we ready to go?”
The samurai kisses his teeth for the fifth time in a row and twists his head to the side in defeat. Subconsciously, his hand inches towards his broken sword - his untethered lifeline.
“Whoever they are, they better be worth it.”
Zoro didn’t know at the time of what was about to unfold, of what was about to be the trigger to a never-ending tale of perplexity and pain, but I can assure you that now, at this very moment, he would say that – indeed - she is worth it all.

Please Don't Leave Me (Part. 4)
Bucky Barnes x Reader
(Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 5)
Warning: Violence
You didn’t think it would get this far.
“So much has happened in the last three weeks. I don’t even know where to begin.” you said as you looked anywhere but at the person's couch you were sitting on.
“Where it’s comfortable.” Dr. Daley spoke directly. There was a moment of silence and you looked at her for a long time, incredulously almost.
“None of it is comfortable.” you crossed your arms. She sat with her legs crossed, notepad and pen draped on her legs and a hand at the side of her head.
“This isn’t an option Ms.Y/n. You have gone through a traumatic event and if you want to return to your team you will do this-”
“Agent”
“What?” She said, confused.
“Yes. I went through something traumatic and so did everyone else. And its Agent not Ms.” You spat. She shoved the book shut and leaned over the table separating the two of you.
“I know you don’t like me but I am only trying to help you. You need to learn some coping mechanisms. What you are doing to yourself isn’t healthy. Do you think it’s healthy, Agent?” She was truly trying to help but to you it just seemed condescending.
“So start where you feel is right.”
“It started three weeks ago…”
Walking through the halls. I made my way to the conference room. Bucky’s hand held mine and I was grateful. I just wanted to be close. It felt like at any moment he was going to disappear. This touch kept me grounded.
Steve, Tony, Nat, Clint, Sam, and Bruce waited for us. They were talking, pictures from the hard drives were floating on the holographic screens.
“Y/n. Bucky.” Steve greeted us.
“We were discussing the drive's content. We need to put a plan together.” Nat said from the corner. She gave me a sweet smile. I walked up to the screen, swiping the photos. I can’t believe they captured all these pictures. Images of the time me and Bucky went to the market showed up. I was staring at the fruit and Bucky was staring at me. How could I have been so oblivious? Then your breath hitched. A photo of Bucky in his room. I was in a towel wrapped and Bucky sat at my feet. It was the night Bucky carried me to the shower. The photos didn’t stop. They showed him carrying me and how he got me dressed. They showed him kissing my head as he slept, something I didn’t remember. They got it all. I turned the screen off. Everyone was looking at me, gauging my reaction.
“So what are you going to do about this?” You asked no one in particular. Tony stepped up.
“We can’t risk HYDRA taking the fight to us. We have to be prepared, so I say we strike first. We fight them. Infiltrate every base.” No one said anything.
“What are you guys scared of a little fight?” Clint jested.
“It’ll be like old times.” Nat laughed. All of a sudden Thor walked in. You hadn’t seen him in months.
“Thor. What are you doing here?” Steve asked.
“I thought you would be more excited to see me, Captain Rogers.” Thor quirked. I sighed with relief that this could really help us.
“I came because I heard about a present danger from the group HYDRA.”
“How-”
“Sergeant Barnes called for me,” he finished. Everyone looked at Bucky.
“We need all the help we can get. They are in deep and they will stop at nothing. These photos aren’t just of me. They are of all of you…” He said, looking at me.
“There are a lot of y/n” Nat spoke up. She clicked the screen and opened the file. Pictures of me flashed on the screen. Everything from the last year. Everytime I left they had a shot taken. They ranged from grocery store stops, missions, and the last one made you furious. It was a photo of me with no shirt. My bare back was shown and my arms were stretched over my head. Violated. I felt violated.
“Bucky and Thor will go to this corner of the base.” He gestured to a building on the blueprint.
“Nat and Clint you will go here and Y/n and I will take this wing. Tony and Sam will fly over and assess any threats. I think if we time everything up we can get to the center of the base and blow up-”
“Are you crazy?” I spoke up. Why would Bucky be involved with this.
“Are you trying to make this easy for them?” Nat tried to soothe me. Seeing I was distressed she tried to rub the back of my arm and I shook her off.
“You might as well put a bow on Bucky's head and leave under the goddamn Christmas tree. Here you go, here's the guy you've been wanting for months- no years!” I yelled. Why are they proposing this? Are they actually daft? This is the stupidest idea ever.
“Y/n this is the best option nothing is going to happen-” Steve said.
“No. Absolutely not. You said we all have a voice and I vote no. It’s too dangerous. I won't stand for it.”
“The lady is right. You said we have an equal part in decisions.” Thor said. I was grateful even if I didn’t show it. My anxiety was getting the best of me.
“Okay. Let’s put it to a vote. All in favor” Steve countered. Nat, Clint, and Tony raised their hands. Thor kept his down and Steve slowly raised his hand. A tie. That means we don't do it. You turned to face Bucky and he had his hand raised. I couldn't believe it. My ears started to ring and I couldn't focus. I just stared at Bucky,
“We will leave within the hour.” Steve said. I just kept staring at Bucky and then I walked out. The sounds of footsteps are the only sound heard. People started to call after me but I was seeing red. I made it to my room and packed my go bad. I threw everything in anger. I rushed to put my suit on to be sure to get changed where no one could see me. A knock sounded on the door and I knew exactly who it was. Bucky wasted no time in opening the door. I just stared at the mirror and Bucky walked behind me placing a kiss on my shoulder and I caved. Closing my eyes.
“It's going to be okay. I won’t let anything happen to you.”
“You think that's what I'm worried about?” I turned around shaking off his touch.
“You think I’m worried about getting hurt? About dying? I couldn’t give any less of a fuck about me. It’s you. I told you that if anything happens to you I couldn’t live without you. Without you I’m nothing, just a thing taking up oxygen. You promised me this was forever and yet you don’t seem fine with putting that in jeopardy-”
“You think I’m okay with this? You think I’m okay with risking all of our lives? The reason we are in this mess is because I am a monster. I killed so many people. I was a weapon of a war that I didn’t even know was going on. As long as HYDRA is alive we will be at war. I can’t do forever knowing that at any second it could be taken away. I can’t lose this life. I can’t lose my future with you. You are everything I want. I can’t let them hurt you.” His breath was uneven and he ragged. I didn’t know what to say.
“Just don’t leave me, Bucky. Please.” I begged. I hated how pathetic I sounded but I loved him and I couldn't. There was the fear again. He started to walk away and I got scared. This was it. He finally got sick of my whining. He went to the record player and put on a record. Doris day’s “Dream a Little Dream of Me” echoed through the speakers. I was confused. He knew how much I loved this song. Before I could process it he pulled me to him and we started to dance. I rested my head on his chest. I loved the song but I loved the sound of his breath and his heartbeat. That was my favorite song. He hummed the tune and he looked at me. He pulled me in for a kiss. It wasn’t rough or possessive but filled with passion. It felt like a goodbye. Tears pricked in my eyes.
“I love you James Buchanan Barnes.” You said seriously.
“I know, doll”
I got my stuff and reluctantly headed to the jet. I was feeling better. Bucky sat across from me and gave me a soft smile. The corners of my mouth turned up and I couldn't get over the love I felt for him. We were going to be okay.
We got to the base and everything was going well. Steve and I finally got to the center of the base when Tony told him he needed help.
“Go Steve, I got it.” That's when everything went to hell. I was about to leave the base, the explosives in place when I heard a voice. A thick accent laced his menacing voice.
“Ah Y/n L/n. I’ve been waiting for you.” I slowly turned around to be faced with a gun pointed at me and some sort of mad scientist.
“You look just as good as the pictures.” He said slowly walking toward me.
“Good thing this is the last time you’ll see me then.” I countered.
“How right you are. You were supposed to report back minutes ago and you haven't. You know who will come to your rescue.” So this was his game.
“He’s probably on the jet by now, your plan is ruined.” I smirked.
“I wouldn't be so sure.” I heard the sounds of gunshots and I closed my eyes. Dammit.
“You won’t be able to stop him once he's turned. No one can.” I was confused by what he said but before I had time to think about it Bucky stormed in and was immediately thrown across the room. His metal arm sticking to a huge magnet.
“Bucky!” I screamed.
“So nice for you to finally join us Sergeant Barnes.”
“Who the hell are you?” He spat.
“You don’t remember me Soldat? Shame, you will after I make you kill your girlfriend. I’ll record the whole thing and send it to the Stark tower so that you watch it over and over again and remember how you betrayed HYDRA.” I sucked in a breath. This was not happening. Then he started to speak.
“Longing. Rusted. Furnace.”
“No! Stop!” Bucky pleaded, trying to get free from the magnet.
“Daybreak. Seventeen.”
“Y/n leave. Now.” He yelled.
“No. Not without you.” I cried.
“Benign. Nine. Homecoming.”
“Ill kill you. I won’t have a choice.” I pulled my knife and charged at the scientist when he fired a shot into my shoulder. I sank to the ground in pain and continued.
“One.”
“I forgive you, James. I love you.” I cried. I knew exactly what was ab0out to happen. I stared at him and all I saw was pain and fear. He wasn’t peaceful.
“Freight car.” His head immediately bowed, Bucky was gone, this was the Winter Soldier now.
“Soldat?” The scientist said. The Winter Soldier replied in russian.
“Ready to comply.'' The scientist turned off the magnet and he fell to the floor.
“Kill her.” My face fell.
“Don’t make him do this. I beg you. I will do whatever you want!” He laughed.
“This is what I want.” Bucky started to walk over to me. I knew what I had to do. I pulled my knife. I can’t kill him but he can kill me. I hope he forgives me. I slit my wrist.
“I love you. James, I love you.” I cried. I slit my other wrist.
“This was supposed to be forever. I promise I will never leave you.” I gave him one last look and then stabbed the knife into my chest. All the way down to the hilt. I didn’t even feel the pain. The entire time my eyes remained on Bucky. I could feel myself losing my sight and hearing. I allowed death to over take me. The Soldier stopped moving, knowing his mission was dying. I took care of the work for him. I couldn’t let him kill me. It would haunt him for the rest of his life. He wouldn’t survive it. I laid in a pool of my blood. I could feel it seeping out of my mouth and nose. The last thing I heard was the sound of guns and struggling.
Let me know how you like this story and if I should continue!

Chapter 2: Walking through water
He slept in for the first time in over a year, and although catching up on all those missed z’s was a welcome feeling, as soon as he woke up and sat at his desk, the uneasiness of not knowing what to do rushed over him.
Walking through water instead of air, the feeling of resistance that accompanied every task Viktor worked on drove him up the wall. It was bad enough that he had no access to any of his equipment, but he was also not allowed to retrieve any of his annotations from the lab to take home, so he was left with a pair of notebooks and some blueprints he had in his briefcase. It wasn't enough.
Resignation. He was usually capable of extracting even the smallest things from thin air, but the circumstances and the maddening lack of resources had finally gotten the better of him. Before long, he felt the onset of something he hadn’t experienced in years: boredom. The invitation of his brain to play, desperate for stimulation. But Viktor was lost, this wasn’t something typical of him, and he didn’t know how to quench this thirst.
He rummaged around the few volumes he had on his desk—nothing he hadn’t read at length before. Cleaning was quick and fruitless, it turns out that not spending any time in your own home proved to be the best way to keep it clean and organized. And of course, the fridge was empty, he didn’t remember the last time he ate a meal in that kitchen, let alone made one, but at least this need for sustenance could be turned into an assignment, so off to the market he went.
It was sunny out. Not scorching, but pleasant enough to make this short walk enjoyable. The bubbling sounds of children running around, two people fighting near the fruit stalls, and vendors trying to talk over each other, the citric scent that turned into earthy basil that turned into peppery spices almost overwhelmingly fast—it was nice, he thought, and he lazily dragged his feet along the market, lingering a bit too long before walking back to the dormitories with what he needed.
Cooking was surprisingly enjoyable as well, and he tried (unsuccessfully) to find a justifiable reason as to why he didn’t do it more often. Soon enough, the meal was finished, the food eaten and the dishes done, and the gentle feeling of rich accomplishment he had felt so far melted away when he found himself bored stiff.
And when he accepted that this problem had no solution, his mind landed on you, the culprit. He recalled all the previous instances in which you had interfered with his work before, like the time you had burned your eyebrows off with some strange flammable substance and had the progress day presentations postponed, and the time you had used all the magnesium alloys for an (excessively scaled, he thought) ‘experiment’ and left him without any for the pieces he was manufacturing, or the time the first hextech intern he ever hired had a complete meltdown over you rejecting him and had to be transferred. Granted, that last one wasn’t your fault, and Viktor never really held it against you, but it was just another case in point to prove that if something was related to you, it would probably be a problem for him.
When memoirs are written about exceptional minds in history, there’s always something about all the trials and tribulations they had to endure—the obstacles on their way to greatness. And it’s not like Viktor thought he would ever get something like that written about him, but if he did, if he ever invented something revolutionary enough to warrant something like a memoir, it pained him to think that there would probably need to be a whole chapter about the pesky chemist that constantly tormented him.
Even when he wasn’t working, you were there, a constant. Your thunderous laugh and the clicking sound you always made when you were in deep thought, your sarcastic remarks and the eternal self-satisfied grin you carried. Viktor found himself thinking about that way too often.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The notification on your door to be present at the conference hall the next morning ruined your mood. You had been having quite the day off and were already making plans to get back to reading all the poetry books you had bought at the fair last summer, so the sudden promise of work had you deflating like a balloon.
You noticed that the hall was packed, and that it probably wasnt equipped to host the entire roster of researchers the Academy had. You tried to distract yourself from the claustrophobic feeling brewing in your stomach by chatting with Moira about the crazy date she'd had the night before. Unfortunately, you were not going to get to the best part, since Heimerdinger came up and tapped the microphone lightly before she could talk about the guy's bad table manners.
"Attention, please, everybody! There, quiet down, please. Yes, thank you.” He started. “I’m sure you might all be wondering why I have gathered you here, and I am happy to announce I have great news to give you!”
Murmurs could be heard from various places along the hall.
“As you all know, the Academy had to make the difficult decision to close the laboratories temporarily due to the recent explosion at the manufacturing facilities. We know how distressed and impatient you must be to go back to your work and how frustrating the prospect of an entire month of idleness feels to brilliant people like you all,” he paused, seemingly for effect. “Thus, the Academy has decided to organize a seminar with some of our brightest minds at each of our research divisions, which will take place at the conclusion of this month-long absence of activity.”
The quiet muttering gradually became a cacophony of confused exclamations and flat-out grunts of annoyance, but after people started to quiet down again, he continued.
“Everyone will be required to attend, but only one person per department is to be voted internally, both to be involved as an organizer and as a speaker. I shall leave you to it now, and expect a list of the chosen people at my desk by the end of the day, as well as one update at the end of each week leading to the date of the event. Good luck, my dears!”
With that, he jumped off the platform he had been standing on to reach the microphone and left the room, ignoring any and all clamors of bewilderment. After some minutes of complaining, though, the people from each department begrudgingly got together to get the voting over with. Some of them chose randomly, others put it up to an actual vote and chose the person everyone thought was a better speaker, and others had volunteers. To your dismay, you were chosen to speak on behalf of the chemistry department. And, not surprisingly, Viktor volunteered on his end.
No more than 30 minutes later, everyone else had left, except for the chosen people. A man from Biology you weren’t familiar with, Lara from Arts and Performance, a lovely older lady from History and Anthropology, Corso from Language and Literature, that weird guy from Poli-sci, Viktor, and you
The morale was not up the walls, even though you were all happy to have something to do, having to organize an entire workshop conference as well as the presentation each one of you had to give felt like more work than you would normally do at your respective labs. Not to mention, you knew this was nothing more than a copout for the academy, throwing this at you so that you didn’t get any free time without them having to get involved in any organizing themselves.
Regardless, after a short talk, you decided to split into three groups. One would be in charge of the scheduling and agenda; the second would take care of the venues; and the last would take care of advertising, leaving Lara to design and print the flyers and posters.
“Let’s team up, sweetheart, I know this amazing place downtown where we can organize everything.” You came to learn that his name was Asher, and you thought that name was not fit for how much of a sleaze he was.
“Oh, I’m sorry, but I’m banned from that part of the city. I caused a three-way collision between 2 horses and an electric bike; there were no casualties, but I can’t be within a 3-mile radius of there.” You said with a deadpan expression.
“What? Seriously?” He asked. Everyone else was either completely confused or mildly horrified, but Viktor knew you well enough to let out a small huff.
“Of course not.” You chuckled and then picked up one of the folded-up pieces of paper Lara had been writing on for everyone to draw a name from.
It was your turn to be horrified when you unfolded the paper and read Viktor’s name on it. After the initial shock wore off, however, you could’ve sworn you felt something akin to relief. Perhaps it was due to being saved from having to go with Asher, or maybe it was because Viktor was the only person there that you knew, even if you didn’t get along.
But as it usually happens, any positive sentiment you ever harbored towards him came to a halt as swiftly as it came, when you heard him grunt in displeasure. You weren’t in the mood to throw any jibes at him in front of everyone, so you simply rolled your eyes.
“1:00 p.m. tomorrow at the café near the night market. Bring a notebook, I left all of mine at the lab.” You said not bothering to look up at him as you gathered your things to leave the hall.
You interpreted his silence as agreement.

I’m so sorry for this anon 😭 no due date on this! or ever. Maybe delete. Its passing on brainrot, like rabies
Imagine, if you will… dust is settling after vox and alastor have kicked major overlord ass. rubble and corpses still on fire. dramatic not-last-jedi music swells as they both catch their breath and their eyes meet. Vox closes the distance between them… there’s a beat of suspense (popcorn noises)
“I want you to join me. We can rule together and bring a new order to Hell”
“Don’t do this, Vox. Please don’t go this way.”
“N- no, you’re still!! Holding on!! Let go!! Do you wanna know the truth about your marketing reach? It’s LIMITED. You have no professional marketing training, you come from nothing. You’re nothing. But not to me.” OK SIKE I CANT DO THIS BIT ANYMORE
but imagine if Vox pulled out a PowerPoint Presentation with stonks graphs, logos, matching power-couple costume sketches, merch, HQ tower blueprints that he’s had in development for months etc. Or he’s like “we could make beautiful content together you know what I mean? like, an… intimate merrrgerrrr. but nothing full on if you’re not into that haha, I mean you’d set the pace, or I could..? I guess what I’m saying is… I’m gonna be candid here *wipes sweat, shakes nervous fanboy energy from his hands* Alastor The Radio Demon, would you do me the honor of accepting my proposal, and being partners with benefits” cringecringecringe typing all that was a copypasta nightmare. the bit never ends
And alastor says something like “haha you couldn’t pay me to! You think I’d lower my standards? Throw away my integrity? How deluded!” Throw some shame and humiliation onto vox’s emotional dumpster fire. Or really to the point: “I reject your business proposal. I’d rather die.” all because
1. ego, and
2. he thought the logos were ugly
I need it to be an UNHOLY, CRINGE DISASTER. Like i wanna be drafting my WILL from the secondhand embarrassment I want it nuclear.
but at the same time a really simple non-event would also be hilarious, considering what a huge issue Vox has made of it. Mountain out of a molehill
this reads like it escaped my immortal im so sorry
LMAOOOO NAH dw I love vox just being as cringe as humanly possible when it comes to alastor, like it could've been something simply or maybe he did make a huge show out of it, a really dramatic """business proposal""", something he poured his whole heart into a blunt "ha! no" from alastor. yeah if he was that cringe and ended up being rejected anyways making it all be for nothing I think I'd understand why he ended up being so salty

Ok, have some basic wf tips with some questions regarding socialization at the bottom:
-Best early game warframes are Rhino and literally every Warframe you can get from the Tenno Lab of a Clan Dojo. You can check guides to see how each frame is built, but i can also give you an overview directly if any warframe specifically catches your eye.
-Level up your damage mods and elemental damage mods. They will get you through with your weapons.
-Each weapon has either a higher crit chance or a higher status chance. Build either a full crit build for a weapon or a status build with elemental mods (best are viral, corrosive against grineer, heat and slash) depending on which stat is higher for your weapon. (Btw, you normally get weapons by buying their blueprints from the market for credits, yes for credits not plat, then building it wih the right materials. Same for Warframes, but you need to craft their components first which drop from their own places before you can craft the blueprint for the warframe itself)
-Experiment, get slots from Nightwave or by buying them with plat (if you still have starter plat remaining), and stick with weapons you enjoy using the most rather than whats meta or good. You can get an Mk-1 strun (a very bad weapon for all but the very early game) to kill level 100+ enemies, so meta is a suggestion. (Also, theres a set of mk-1 weapons you can buy for credits which are slightly worse versions of the same weapon without the mk-1 prefix. They serve as intro weapons and consider buying them, but remember to sell them if you need slots/get their base counterpart or a better weapon)
-Progress through the starchart at your own pace. All Warframe content since 2022 and probably forever will be locked behind the New War quest. Do not fret over this, Warframe is not made to be rushed. Play at your pace, everything can be earned.
-Prime gear is not necessary to do good in Warframe, it is a bonus
-If youre confused by the story, thats normal
-if you ever get stuck, the wiki is your friend (but i am also available, being a veteran of the game)
So, yea, that should be all you need to know to get started. Now, onto questions regarfing your interaction with the community:
1. How much do you usually interact with other fandoms youre in?
2. Do you even wish to be a part of the Waframe fandom?
3. Do you prefer to stay at a distance or would you like to interact a bit more? (Asking cause if its the latter, I can offer to be your training wheels considering the sheer number of people in the warframe community im actively friends with).
Ok, thats about all of the questions i can think of right now, but heres one more thing:
Warframe is a game filled to the brim with customization and fashion. It is an oc creator's wet dream. So just saying, if you like making ocs like your blog suggest you do, you will not wanna miss out on the later content in Warframe, trust me. As a proud owner of a bunch of ocs made over the course of multiple years...I would know
Ahh thank you so much this will probably help me a lot! (genuinely had no clue what I was doing in game lmao) I’ll have a look into these when I next log on because I’ll most likely need to change and upgrade stuff like mods, and I’ll try to acquire more Warframes since Excalibur’s the only one I’ve got right now. Also you’re 100% right about the OCs when I saw the amount of customisation options I was so excited lol
In terms of interacting with fandoms whilst I’d like to be able to be more social in the future I’m mostly just a casual observer at the moment, the extent of my interaction is usually just drawing and reblogging fanart, occasionally coming up with theories if I’m really invested in the story but that’s about as much as I interact most of the time and I’ll probably be like that for a while longer knowing me.
That being said I really appreciate the offer and I’m very grateful for the help you’ve given me, thank you so much! :)

continuing a little something i brought up on @whatitshouldvebeen’s post about a shirtless johnny skin…
i think my gripe of not going forward with some bit of fan service with johnny (perhaps save for a few voice lines) is that it’s very obvious the fan service of the game mainly centers around julie and connie. i don’t see much thirst for ana, per that she’s got a decent outfit and likely because it is her dead sister we’re looking for around here.
yeah, i know texas is supposed to be hot, but in general with women in horror, it’s very very easy to sexualize or design them in a way that obviously caters to fan service for the male gaze.
yet GOD forbid that we can’t have shirtless johnny, right? GOD FORBID, we can’t have some kind of fan service with johnny who is so obviously a blueprint fictional crush for a specific audience.
the nicotero bubba skin is cool, since i think greg nicotero is a wonderfully talented person & deserves that kind of content. i genuinely love it from the lense of an artist myself.
HOWEVER, given the drop in the player base, ther is a HUGEEEEEELY missed opportunity for marketing johnny to the right audience who would eat him right up.

Page Optimization Best Practices: A Blueprint for Online Growth
Page optimization is an essential system in virtual advertising and net development that ensures websites are person-friendly, functional, and aligned with seek engine tips. It encompasses quite a few techniques and practices aimed at improving a website's performance, visibility, and general user revel in (UX). By optimizing a page, companies and content creators can achieve better search engine ratings, force organic visitors, and ultimately enhance conversion costs. This complete manual explores the facets of page optimization, from its technical factors to consumer-centered techniques.

In the state-of-the-art competitive digital landscape, merely having an internet site is inadequate. Users anticipate rapid-loading, cellular-friendly, and easily navigable pages. Moreover, serps like Google prioritize web sites that supply value through optimized overall performance. Here’s why page optimization is essential:

Higher Search Engine Rankings: Search engines reward optimized pages with better ratings, growing visibility, and natural reach.
Increased Conversions: A properly optimized web page encourages customers to take desired movements, including creating a purchase, signing up for a publication, or downloading content.
Better Accessibility: Optimization guarantees your content is on the market to all customers, such as people with disabilities, through features like alt textual content and proper structure.

Minimize HTTP Requests: Reduce the number of factors like photographs, scripts, and CSS documents.
Compress Images: Use equipment like TinyPNG or ImageOptim to lessen image sizes without compromising quality.
Enable Browser Caching: Cache static files so returning site visitors don’t need to reload all factors.
Use a Content Delivery Network (CDN): Distribute content across more than one server to reduce latency.
Optimize Code: Minify CSS, JavaScript, and HTML to put off unnecessary characters.
Mobile-Friendliness
With over half of internet traffic coming from cellular gadgets, ensuring a web page is cell-pleasant is non-negotiable.
Responsive Design: Use CSS frameworks like Bootstrap to ensure the page adapts to specific screen sizes.
Viewport Settings: Define the viewport for your HTML to govern how your website is displayed on cell devices.
Clickable Elements: Ensure buttons and hyperlinks are properly sized and spaced for touchscreens.
Content Optimization
Content is at the heart of any website. Optimizing content for relevance, readability, and engagement is crucial.
Keyword Research: Identify and use goal key phrases naturally in your content.
Structured Data: Use schema markup to help serps recognize your content material.
Readability: Use brief paragraphs, subheadings, and bullet points to make content material scannable.
Engaging Visuals: Incorporate great images, movies, and infographics to complement textual content.
On-page search engine marketing
On-page search engine marketing entails optimizing character internet pages to rank better in seek engine results.
Title Tags: Create compelling and keyword-rich titles within 50-60 characters.
Meta Descriptions: Write concise descriptions that summarize the page content material and consist of target keywords.
Header Tags (H1, H2, and so forth.): Use headers to shape content material logically and improve readability.
Internal Linking: Link to different applicable pages in your website to enhance navigation and search engine optimization.
Technical Optimization
Technical optimization makes a specialty of backend upgrades to beautify overall performance and seek engine crawlability.
Robots.Txt File: Guide engines like Google on which pages to crawl or ignore.
Canonical Tags: Avoid duplicate content material problems by specifying the favored version of a website.
SSL Certificate: Secure your website online with HTTPS to reinforce consideration and ratings.
404 Error Pages: Create consumer-friendly error pages to guide users to lower back to practical parts of your website online.
Tools for Page Optimization
Several tools can simplify and streamline the optimization manner:
Google PageSpeed Insights: Analyzes web page speed and affords actionable guidelines.
GTmetrix: Offers insights into website performance and areas for development.
Ahrefs/Semrush: Helps with keyword studies, content optimization, and search engine marketing monitoring.
Hotjar: Tracks user behavior via heatmaps and session recordings.
Strategies for Effective Page Optimization
To reap meaningful effects, you want a well-rounded strategy. Here’s a step-by-step approach:
Conduct an Audit
Before enforcing modifications, conduct a comprehensive audit to identify existing troubles. Tools like Screaming Frog or Google Analytics can reveal overall performance bottlenecks, broken hyperlinks, and content gaps.
Prioritize User Intent
Understand your target market's wishes and design pages that cope with them. Whether users are seeking data, products, or services, make certain your content aligns with their intent.
Focus on Core Web Vitals
Google’s Core Web Vitals — Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS) — are crucial for web page optimization. Aim to meet their benchmarks for stepped forward user revel in and scores.
Test and Iterate
Optimization is an ongoing system. Use A/B checking out to experiment with web page layouts, calls-to-movement (CTAs), and different elements. Monitor overall performance and refine based on results.
Keep Up with Trends
The digital landscape evolves swiftly. Stay knowledgeable about updates to look engine algorithms, layout developments, and emerging technologies.
Common Challenges and Solutions
While web page optimization gives huge advantages, it also affords challenges:
Balancing Speed and Functionality: Advanced capabilities like animations can sluggish down your website online. Use light-weight libraries and green coding to strike stability.
Content Overload: Too a whole lot of content material can crush users. Focus on turning in concise, cost-driven information.
Managing Multiple Platforms: Ensuring steady overall performance across desktop, cell, and drugs requires thorough testing and responsive design.
The Future of Page Optimization
As technology advances, web page optimization will keep evolving. Emerging tendencies like voice seek, AI-pushed personalization, and augmented truth (AR) integration will redefine consumer expectations.
