1. my beloveds okay, i was in pleasant shock when saw a "young love" plot line (i didn't know anything about TDiM when i started it so didn't expect to get lesbians)

2. Jamie and Erin already have such a wonderful dynamic to begin with, having bounced around each other before taking the leap after enough flustering and teasing. They care so deeply for each other, and one losing the other is beyond heartbreaking. Erin even admits how much she doesn't want to lose Jamie, which makes my heart scream and yell and cry and oh my god

3. They're sweet, they're cute, they're canon! Supermassive finally gave us an official queer couple that can get together and Jerin deserves some recognition for that. <3

4. I mean, its Jerin! They're relationship is so cute and interesting even if they don't get together, its so clear when they don't they still very much love and adore each other and have so much more to say. And when they ARE together they are just so cute and gentle to each other. The perfect couple <3 (also they are a very rare non-white biracial lesbian couple that aren't toxic or weird so the representation they hold is just <3)

I just think it's funny how Conrad boards the Duke of Milan, immediately lowkey flirts with Alex, then immediately flirts with Brad, and then immediately flirts with Fliss as soon as she boards.

Mum & MoM

just finished playing Man of Medan with my mum, it is the first movie game/SMG title she's ever played and I am glad to report that she really enjoyed it

We saved all six, got the distributor cap and Olson died of a heartattack, she says she likes how all the characters have their own thing going on and it kept her on edge. She doesn't have a specific character ranking(Alex is at the bottom tho she is of course glad he survived) although over the three sittings we played it Conrad grew on her first after initially thinking he was a little annoying, the second time she was endeared to Brad and Fliss and this time it was Julia+ she likes junior/Danny/Olson

She really appreciated that the player characters are empathetic enough to save junior and I'm glad we managed that in her blind playthrough

Some funny things were:

*coffin shown on screen before literally anything else* mum immediately: do we know who's in the box?

"really? Over 50 cents!?"

*corpse falls out of cupboard* mum: womp womp

Mum: what an ugly child

Me: that's Joe's son

*mum shoots at zombie child and then freaks out that it didn't work*

*me explaining Conrad and Julia as they get on the Duke as mum was playing them*: Conrad has big clown energy and Julia is mega adhd

Mum: ah yes perfect for me ✨

"everyone on this boat has attention deficit issues"

*the utter disbelief when I tell her how long Alex and Julia have been together*

And much more

She's very much looking forward to starting little hope next
