Sand Barioths are the mounts of seasoned Lamure warriors. One has to prove their fortitude, endurance, and lethality to gain the right to bond with such a highly-respected ally, and once formed, that link will never fracture.

Lamure's vast expanses are highly unforgiving and volatile- as such, a remote tribe housed on the edge of the Sadona Barrens has long known that beasts designed for speed and agility serve far better in navigating their home.

These wyverns are regarded as companions of the utmost honour. To see one daubed in its Rider's paint and hand-crafted ornaments is to witness an ancient partnership that has persisted for countless generations.

↠ Sand Barioth is an extremely underrated subspecies, in my opinion. Most of MonHun's subspecies feel a little too much like reskins or are too similar to their predecessors- Green Nargacuga, Pink Rathian & Aurora Somnacanth come to mind, in particular. Sand Barioth breaks the species mold, placing the monster in the antithesis of its domain- it's a really fun, flashy, and bold concept.

In terms of inspiration here, I based both lore and visuals on the ethnic Karo people of Ethiopia. Their daily practise of body-painting is really beautiful, and so strikingly captures the human experiences of creativity and self-expression.

I’ve been chipping away at some concept art for a webcomic idea I’ve had floating in my mind titled Violet Ties for about a decade now, so here’s a look at a flower concept design called the Violet Oscyle!

🖤~ This is Dusty! Ve is a mercenary. Ve was hired by one of Seedspot’s competitors to take him out, but when ve got to the syrax, Seedspot hired Dusty to work for him. Ve couldn’t pass up the offer of even more money, and preferred how Seedspot ran things, so ve agreed and became essentially the syrax’s bodyguard.

🤍~ For ver design, I was inspired by eagle-owls! Ve is a strix, which is a quite tall, owl-like creature in this world. They are usually quite solitary and live in desert environments. But Dusty now lives with Seedspot in the city. Ve has a reputation for ver deadliness.

Rɪsɪɴɢ Wᴀᴛᴇʀ.

A particularly vile creature, and one considered by most to be even older than the faeries.

Behaving more like a sea monster than its traditional brethren, this kelpie remains beneath the blackened waters of coastal tides, patiently waiting for foolish waders and fisherman to enter its range. Its tentacles effortlessly grasp unwary limbs, and its massive canines shred waterlogged flesh, leaving not even the smallest scrap to be found.

↠ After quite a wait, I’ve finally completed this design revamp. The original idea for this unique kelpie is from way back in 2017, and I’d always planned to return to it, to flesh out the concept in full. I think this turned out well, considering how many odd parts needed to be jammed together into one body.

Realized I still hadn't posted all of the concept art from the Resident Evil 2 Survival Guide. Whoops.

Looks like he had a gasmask and some sort of gun early on.

It's a little hard to see, but I think his mask has a little Umbrella logo on the side. Would you guys have preferred him with the mask? It looks kinda neat and I love masks but his emotionless stare feels more unnerving to me.

They seems to have dabbled in having a full face mask too. Also, look at the long black nails on his "normal" hand.

This one reminds me of Handsome Squidward.

Anyway, that's all for now. There are still more images of concept art in the guide but I'll be posting those another time.
