Here is the finished version of my smaller & simplified Hierophant embroidery design! It measures 3.5 inches wide rather than 6.25 like my larger and more complex pattern, and I tried a different color palette for the background to bring it closer to the original card. It's still not perfect but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

This pattern takes a lot less time than the bigger one, so is more approachable. Both these patterns and my other designs will be available in my new etsy store as I finish writing out instructions and uploading them :)

This finished piece will also be for sale for anyone interested, and I am taking limited embroidery commissions for now.

"water" for the wip game, please

Ooo, this is a funny one - but technically it counts, it's an unpublished bit from a WIP! From one of my deleted scenes early in Rabbit Heart, where Sifo-Dyas is just free rolling nonstop visions instead of lying down for a nice hurt comfort scene. I ended up cutting the scene because it got way darker than I wanted to go in a fic where I also... uh, burn the love interest at a stake?

There was no logical reason for Sifo-Dyas to be conscious. Yet, he was. 

Dooku had tried to make him comfortable on the shuttle. He piled blankets on top of him, tried to hold water to his resisting lips, and promised him safety. And yet, the seer seemed broken. His eyes weren’t clearing out like they should have after a vision. His face looked overloaded, like someone receiving too much sensory information all at once. Prophecy spilled from him, mingling into incoherent nonsense.

“Do you know her? Why is she crying?” He clutched desperately at Dooku, blood running from his mouth and nose. “Promise me that you’ll help her!”

If you don't mind me asking, where did you get the line art of the symbols for the dress you are making?

I really wanna make some cross stitch patterns with them but do not have the skills to really lift them from the promo photos.

And I wish I had nice line art resources to give you, but I traced them all directly from the promo posters in the program I used to make the embroidery designs. :(

I should be able to get some screenshots of the finished embroidery designs, though they won’t be as accurate as even a regular tracing taken from the originals- they were traced, then I had to scale them down which lost some detail, and then I had to mess with line widths and even placement in some parts to get a design that would look right on the fabric. And lastly, the program can only show it as an embroidery- like it looks in the videos of the individual designs.

But, if you think that’ll be something you can work with, I can try and get screenshots taken for you and hopefully have them some time tomorrow?

well its just barely still wednesday so here is a WIP! working on an embroidery template for the Qunari special dialogue icon. First I went with colors pretty close to the source material (left) but honestly I don't like them so much when scaled up... so I made a more red+desaturated version too (right), that I think I like more. No plans to actually stitch this one yet because I still need to finish the stupid hermit piece, which I have not made any progress on since the last time I posted it :|

What do you think of the patterns on the tunic of the depths? Idk why, it feels like they’re a reference the a previous Zelda game, though I haven’t played much of them so I couldn’t tell. If they’re not, what do you think they depict?

from what I can tell, they might be depicting the Moldarach, which is a scorpion boss with eyes on its claws from Skyward Sword, it also hides under the sand and is introduced as the 'Thousand Year Arachnid'.

the creature(s) depicted on the depths armor is clearly insectoid in nature and defined by it's two crablike claws.

There are probably many more things it could be but it would make sense to me that a long-lived scorpion creature that burrows beneath the ground could thrive in the depths, and the colors (red, black, orange/gold) match up pretty well.
