the thing is, for MCR death was always an external force. like, Helena, It's Not A Fashion Statement, even Famous Last Words, etc it's all like, death is this future, potential thing they're fighting back against. (side note: this is very much not true in tone for Gerard's solo album, which is... kind of heavy considering the timeframe it was produced/released and toured for in) but with FOB death has always been this thing right there, in the midst of them. it's a present haunting. I think the difference really comes down to: MCR is fighting death. FOB is breaking up with it.

anyways if I had dime for every time I love emo/alt rock band that has album(s) and comic where the members of the band are fighting against evil corporation that is brainwashing people and trying to take away the people's individuality/freedom and the band is fuckin amazing, I would have two dimes which isn't a lot but it's weird it happened twice

This is gonna be an interesting poll to make as this theory hasn’t been discussed in a while and I haven’t really seen it discussed here much, so let’s get to it, part 2 of my experiment :)

For those who don’t know the theory, I’ll explain it below!

On the left, Gerard wore that shirt at the Philly show allll the way back in August. And on the right, Gerard wore that shirt at one of MCR’s very first shows in 2002.

The theory is simple and it goes like this- some fans believe because Gerard wore a TYFTV shirt in 2002, which ended up being a song on Revenge, which released in 2004, then PBATVM will potentially be a song on MCR5.
