tolerate it.
xii. where's that man who threw blankets over my barbed wire?
—“being tolerated by leon during the first days of our engagement wasn’t the one that hurt me the most. really, it was learning that my saving grace, the one whom i thought was throwing blankets over barbed wire for me…it was realizing that isaac has been the one tolerating me for the longest time. it even reached the point that he couldn’t tolerate me any longer that he had to search for what i was lacking in someone else.”

Although 4 days felt like forever for them to find themselves in a plane back to Manila, they were able to get home safely without the worries of Leon and Santi being put in jeopardy. The both of them were cleared to continue their recovery at home. Which is why Santi is back in their parents mansion because he lived alone and Leon is stuck at home. All four of them were relieved of their current projects, which included Ynes and Eli being excused from work as well, fledging to take care of their injured brothers for the meantime. Besides, after all the psychological warfare that the both of them went through from literally being the first ones to know about the accident has been too much as well that Elizalde Yang thought it was best that they let them off work as well. Most of the heavy tasks were transferred to different teams in the company, while the rest were being done at home.
“May crush ka kaklase mo sa conservatory ‘di ba?” Leon teased as he sat next to Eli who played a very peaceful piano rendition of Midnight Covey’s hit song, Tulog Na.
Eli hummed, glancing at him, which admittedly made Leon’s knees feel weak, with the way the soft light from the stained windows reflected on her face, making her face look more ethereal than it already was.
“Si Geon Isidro?” she asked. “Joke lang ‘yon. Sinabi ko lang para tantanan ako noong isa pa naming kasama.”
“Kilala ‘yon nila Tito ‘di ba?”
Eli looked at him, confused why all of a sudden he was so invested in Geon when he was in fact no more than a figment from her past. It was something he knew back then.
“Yeah, they met sa country club sa Baguio, taga roon sila originally eh.”
“You think magkakagusto ka uli sa kanya if nakita mo s’ya uli?”
“Sobra ka na yata sa gamot, Leon,” she chuckled, playfully flicking his forehead. Leon feigned offense, dramatically holding onto his forehead as if he was hurt badly.
“Bakit ba? Genuine na question ‘yon! Tanong ng best friend!”
“Hindi nga kasi ako nagkagusto kay Geon,” she shrugged, fiddling on the piano keys as if visualizing what would sound good. “Sinasabi ko naman sa’yo kapag may crush ako noon.”
“Sa tingin mo maniniwala ako d’yan? Sabi mo nga dati crush mo ako!”
“Oh bakit hindi ba?”
Leon’s normally pale face began to heat up, turning his face crimson in almost only a glimpse which made Eli laugh at how adorable he was. Usually it was the other way around, flustering Eli was his job! Bakit sya ang kinikilig ngayon?
Elijah chuckled, moving one leg towards the other side of the piano stool so that she would see his face clearer from where he was sitting on the other half of the two-person stool.
“Pag tinigasan nanaman ako sa kakaganyan mo—”
“Oh my god! Ang bunganga mo talaga!”
“Baby, you’ve gotten off on me once na,” he chuckled, pinching her cheeks, finding it cute that she still gets shy at the idea of it. “It’s not like secret pa ‘yon sa atin.”
“Kahit na,” she laughed. “Ang awkward pakinggan na magse-sex tayo, e for the longest time kinonvince ko ang sarili ko na hindi tayo talo.”
“Cute mo,” he laughed. “You say that like you weren’t the one on top of me last time, baby.”
Leon could not help but adore how her face turned crimson when she bursted out in laughter, hitting his arm like she usually does. “Bakit ba tawa ka ng tawa?” he chuckled at her, “It’s human to have needs bakit ka nahihiya?”
“Because it’s not like me to just ask for things I need, Leon,” she shrugged. Though she meant it as a joke, they both know there’s more truth to it than it was a joke. Eli has always been one to work for what she needs, even if it was something basic. Everything she gets, she feels the need to work for it.
“It’s just funny na hanggang sex you feel ne need to work for shit, ginaganyan ka ba ni Issac Sim, ha?”
Somehow that hit Eli. If Isaac really has been cheating on her and he’s already fallen out of love with her long before they were forced to break up… then the truth must really hurt. Chances are Isaac has only been using her to get his dick wet for the past years.
“Kahit hindi naman doon…”
She took the time to look after his health when they were still in college. All the times she was the one who woke up early to make sure his shit was ready. All the things Eli did for him, just for her to feel like she deserved to be loved, all of it she considered to be priceless only to find out that it was all in vain because the love she thought was getting wasn’t even real in the first place.
Leon hummed at the reaction he got from Eli. Though much like her advances, it was meant to be a joke, he did not want to hear all the hell Eli has been going through that she did not notice at all. He just wanted to replace it. Make her feel like the woman she was meant to be—adored and served.
“Actually, I don’t want to hear it,” he scoffed. Well, even out of the sexual context, it pissed him off that Elijah was treated like that. When they were friends, if it was possible for him to do it instead of Eli, he did it. It pissed him off that during the time he could not be the person who does it, she was allowing herself to be used by some bastard who isn’t even worth half the person Elijah is. “Kapag magaling na ako, you don’t have to work for anything else, okay?”
“Bro, I want to work,” she rolled her eyes at him, making him laugh while leaning towards her, inching her face closer to her.
“It’s okay if you want to do that, pero ako na ang bahala sa’yo sa ibang bagay, okay?”
Eli could feel her heart race at his sincerity, or maybe not, maybe it was his hand on her exposed thigh, showing through the slit of her sundress because it was scorching hot in the country. She doesn’t know anymore, it doesn’t help that his warm lips are on hers again, moving in sync to hers.
Shit. Kakasabi ko lang kanina na awkward, but why does it feel so right? Eli thought to herself.
Leon then takes the opportunity to squeeze the supple skin of her thigh before inching it higher and higher, making her gasp for air but he only takes this as an opportunity to slot his tongue in between her parted lips. At that point, he really was determined to make Eli feel nice without her working for anything, fuck the stitches on his side. He had to make his baby feel good.
His hand kept inching up her body till it reached her boy shorts.
“Do you want to?” Leon asked, making sure that she still had a choice, and he will never do anything she doesn’t want to do.
Eli looked up at him and nodded before leaning over to capture his lips once again. And while he just wanted to just grab her and fuck her right then and there with how pretty she looked nodding at him like that, he needed to hear her say it.
“Say it, baby,” he hummed against her lips, before his other hand reached for her face, holding her back from kissing him again until she gave an answer.
“Fuck, Leon. Yes.”
He wanted to go feral at that very moment but he knew his limitations with that stupid fucking wound on his side, he’s not gonna be able to feel her up that way. But it wasn’t going to stop him from making her feel good.
“Kandong ka, baby,” and before Eli could think of it, there she was again, on top of him, with both legs on either side of him.
“Wait paano yung tahi mo,” she gasped, hitting his shoulder upon realizing.
“Hindi yan magagalaw kung hindi ka maglilikot,” he chuckled before pulling her face closer to get a taste of her saccharine lips once again.
Mint. Mint lipbalm. That’s what her lips taste like. Something Issac will never taste again. Fucking asshole. Leon thinks to himself.
He likes to think that it’s just love instead of lust that drives him to do this, because it is. While there is that primal need to be as close to her as he could, all he wanted was to make her feel loved and taken care of—that finally she can rest her armors down and let him do all the work.
Eli’s arms find home around Leon’s neck as she leans closer to him, unintentionally putting on pressure on Leon’s hard-on.
“Lean back, baby,” Leon hums against her lips before adjusting her back to her old position, hands delicately guiding her hips back before it travels down to where she most needed it to be.
“Fuck,” she breathes out as Leon continues to rub his thumb on the wet patch on her cotton underwear. “What the actual fuck, Leon.”
“That feels nice, baby?” he smirks as he leans over to kiss her neck, leaving soft butterfly kisses first before sucking on the sweet spot behind her ear.
“Yes, oh my god—” Leon seemed dissatisfied when she began to move on her own again, trying to grind against his already moving hand.
“Wag kang malikot,” he says sternly, his free hand holding her hips down to keep it steady. “I’ll stop if you move. Okay?”
Eli, already drunk in love, couldn’t help but just helplessly nod at Leon’s ministrations.
“Answer me, baby.”
“I won’t move, Leon. Please, just—” Eli’s pleads were cut off by her own quiet gasp when Leon’s fingers began moving again in a steady pace that quite literally made Eli want to go insane, trying the best that she could to not squirm at the pleasure that was running through her entire body.
“Stay still, Ellie. Alright?”
“Yes, please—fuck—can you remove na please.”
“You want me to touch you raw, baby?” he asked, fingers slowing down before hastening again to tease her.
“Please, baby.” Baby. Leon’s head goes haywire. Before he could even let his mind think about it for a second time, he helps her up and takes off the piece of cloth separating his hand from the soft nub in between her legs.
Leon takes his time with her, making sure every move was only meant to please her, always asking before he does something foreign.
Thus, there Eli was, being fucked witless with two of Leon’s fingers, knuckles deep, swiftly moving inside her, curling every now and then, making her release a string of soft hums and whimpers in his ear as she bites on to the crook of his neck to keep herself quiet while her fiance’s fingers do its wonders.
“That feels nice, baby?”
“Nice… yes… oh my god, Leon,” she replies in soft gasps as she clings to him for support. “Faster, please.”
Leon does as he is told, even going as far as using his thumb to rub the bundle of nerves while he’s at it, making her stomach tighten at the sensation.
It’s not long after she reaches her high, leaning back pressing on random piano keys that fills the living room with other sounds than the sound of her heavy breaths and the wet sound of Leon’s fingers ramming inside of her. But the older does not stop his hands from moving.
“Shit. Shit. Shit. Baby, done na please—”
“One more baby,” he hums before kissing her again, enjoying the remains of her mint lip balm that has now faded, probably smudged on either of their faces and on the hickeys on his neck. “You can give me one more.”
Tears began to form in the corners of her eyes as her dilated pupil gaze on the features of his face, reflecting pleasure at the sight of her getting flooded with dopamine at her climax. “So pretty for me, Ellie.”
“Leon, oh my god,” Eli was sure that very moment that Leon had already fucked her stupid, and that was with his hands only. Only his name was coherent from all the babbles that came out of her mouth that Leon could not help but feel smitten with how willing Eli is to be vulnerable with him.
It wasn’t too long until Eli is sobbing at the wave of pleasure consuming her entire body while she wraps her arms around his neck once again for comfort. Leon's thumb still consistently moving, guiding her through her high.
"Baby, enough na please," Elijah whimpered against his neck, reaching in between her thighs to make him stop. Leon then takes it as his stop sign, slowly removing his hand from inside of her before lifting it up to his mouth to taste. Eli, still too fucked out to think of anything else but the aftershocks of her climax, wasn't strong enough to stop him from doing so.
Fuck. She wasn’t even sure how the fuck was it possible that he made her climax twice that quick, but one thing was for sure. Nothing can compare to the feeling of his hold after it’s all done. Soothing circles were drawn on her lower back as he waited for her body to stop spasming.
“Okay na? Kailangan pa maglinis, baby.”
“Sleepy,” she responds, burying her face on the crook of his neck.
“Linis muna, then matutulog tayo, okay?”
“Okay,” she hums dejectedly before pulling away from him.

“Saan tayo after sa Valiente?” Gwen asked from the shotgun seat, craning his neck back to look at Eli who sat in the back seat with Leon and Jacynthe. It was obvious that he was in severe discomfort with the atmosphere in the car with both Jas and Alistair being in the same space when fully, everyone knew how shit went down for the both of them.
Jacynthe and Alistair were a thing about a couple of years ago, when Alistair had just finished his Information Technology Degree. Philomena Yoon and Daphne Huh, have been bestfriends since highschool and have been each other’s support system since then especially when things got messy between their relationships and well, they both had children none of their partners wanted to keep. Basically, Jacynthe and Alistair knew each other for a long time already, with both their mothers being attached to the hip practically. But what seemed to be an ideal relationship between the two immediately went awry when Alistair migrated to LA to supposedly pursue a career in the Silicon Valley. The two broke up upon Alistair’s wish because apparently he could not handle a long distance relationship. Nonetheless, they kept contact after promising that he will be back once he’s established his career. Well, that was until Alistair enlisted into the military as a Military IT, and did not tell Jacynthe. Back then, Jas held on to every detail to his promise. She lived for the hope of it all, depending on empty promises as something to hold on to. You could only imagine how devastated Jas was when Alistair just decided to go into boot camp and go MIA from the internet scene for a good while. Thing about Jacynthe is that she doesn’t just love. When she loves, she loves deeply and truly and madly. She makes it a point that everything she can give, she will give if that’s what it took for her to be loved. Maybe you can daddy issues for it, but that’s how it is. Jas went around serial dating guys who weren't even worth half a minute of her time. They were all sorts of guys—jobless, narcissistic, manipulative, you name it— all of roommates can agree that they were only there for the money and the fame because Jacynthe was steadily rising to the limelight with songs she produced for multiple A-list singers and songs she wrote with Kyle Crisostomo. It was safe to say that even if it was worrisome that Jas is getting involved with someone like Tobias, who always claimed that he didn’t do relationships, he was nicer than anyone else. Tobi, if not for his compulsive need to stay out of relationships, would be one ideal guy. He’s talented and passionate and dedicated to the things that he loved to do, which was music. Something Jas has always been interested in as well. So, as uncertain as it may be, they had more hope that Jas would not get broken hearted by Tobi, more than anyone else she went on date with.
“Bahay na uli,” Eli replied to him. “The band will come daw pa magpractice kami para sa set sa Aurora bukas.”
“Oh you will perform?” Gwen’s eyes lit up in excitement as he fully turned to look at her.
“Jas rin! She has a few songs to play with MC!” Jacynthe looked uneasy with it being brought up, especially with her ex sitting just in close proximity along with the fact that in both of her features, she will be singing with Tobias and Amir.
“Galingan n’yo bukas!”
There they were, in the VIP parking lot of Valiente Med, where most of the physicians and surgeons park their cars. It was safe to say that Eli was left speechless the moment her car entered the parking lot and several men dressed in suits were already waiting for them. Philomena Yoon, you are as OA as you can always be.
“Napaka-oa mo ninang,” Eli shrugged at her godmother as soon as she met them in her office.
“Jas!” Philomena smiles as soon as she moves to hug Jacynthe. “Oh how are you? May masakit ba sa’yo? Nasa OR si Mama mo ngayon!”
“Oh, may scheduled check up lang po, Tita. I’m okay naman.”
“Good ‘yan. You’re not pregnant naman, 'di ba? Kaya nagpapacheck up?”
“You put my IUD in, Tita!”
“Ay oo nga pala! Anyway, mabuti yan! Itong bata na ‘to, kelan ka huling nagpacheck up? Kailangan mo na magcheck up ng madalas! You’re gonna get married na next month you have to make sure na you’re completely healthy!”
“Isang beses sa isang taon lang ako nilalagnat, ninang. Para saan ba ‘yon?”
“What if you’re pregnant na pala?”
“Ninang! How?”
“Babe, you’re young! And engaged! And pretty! I was younger than you when I had Ali! I used to have pregnancy scares more than twice a month!” She laughed. “Either way, tama yan. Huwag kayong gagaya sa akin, I understand naman. And your ex boyfriend was an ass. If I was in your place I would’ve been extra careful din. Wouldn’t want a guy like him to knock me up like the genes that kid has! They’re gonna taint our pedigree! Ugh! And at least Ali’s dad was a lawyer and left me to pursue law kahit papaano, I know Ali is going to turn out smart and well kahit namana n’ya yata ng slight ang katarantaduhan ng tatay n’ya. Right, Jas?”
Gwen audibly snorted at his mom’s remark. It really isn’t a secret how furious Philomena was when Alistair did what he did, she made sure he knew that as soon as he graduated from bootcamp.
Jas could only hold her laughter by pursing her lips and nodding.
Philomena continued on yapping until everyone was in their respective places. Gwen ended up being the one to wait for Jas in the waiting room, while Ali came with both Eli and Leon in the doctor’s office.
“Okay, so—”
The both of them seemed to stop in their tracks as soon as their eyes met.
“I was given the impression that Doctor Valle would be here instead of an intern, can I have Doctor Valle instead?” Leon’s tone was cold and stoic, which really seemed to petrify Louisse in her place.
“Um… Pi-pinapunta po ako dito ni Doctor Valle dito para magcheck ng vitals-”
“Go back to Doctor Valle, tell her I’m paging her,” Philomena wasn’t much help with her authoritarian tone before reaching for her phone in her white coat to dial someone.
“Binilinan po kasi ako na wag magpakita sa kanya—”
“It doesn’t seem like my problem, Miss Laxa, go get Doctor Valle,” she told her, bluntly.
“She doesn’t look like she’s having the best day, Ninang,” Eli mumbled, eyes wide as soon as she realized that tears were already forming in Louisse’s eyes when she left.
“This is the second week both her and your filthy ex boyfriend have been receiving pansit since you asked me to send them,” she grinned, complacent at her pettiness as she pushed the door close. Even Ali face-palmed at his own mother’s actions. “If I can’t kick them out, the best I can do is to wish that their shift is worse than the last one.”
“Akala ko once n’yo lang yon gagawin!”
“Oh it’s no problem! I’m paying the nanay na naging patient ko a hefty to cook the pansit I send them everyday! So like isipin mo nalang na we’re supporting Nanay’s cooking business! It’s okay!”
Even Ali could not hold it any more, snorting at his mother’s level of petty. He could not believe how much immaturity his mother still got even after all those years of hardships and life lessons she learned.
“Even Daph is on this! The Clark boy hasn’t got one scrub duty after one fuck up since we found out about what he has been doing! You have been saved by grace Alistair! If you were in the medical field din, Daphne and I would’ve gave you toxic shifts after toxic shifts too! Naiinis pa rin ako sa ginawa mo!”
“Hay nako, Yoon,” Doctor Valle appeared from the door, giving Philomena a high five as they both grinned. It seemed like they were all in to really making Isaac and Louisse’s shifts worse than it should be, which in Eli’s mind…deserve.
-
“Why are you here?” Isaac bursts out as soon as Eli was out of the comfort room.
“My grandparents built this hospital, Isaac. What do you mean?” Eli spat out, glancing around to look for anyone who might see them both so that she may be able to call for help if she needed to.
“I know what you and Doctor Yoon are doing, Eli. Please, if going back to you would fix this—
“I don’t want you back, Isaac. Sana nahihiya ka sa mga sinasabi mo,” she gritted her teeth, appalled at the audacity that Isaac had to confront her like this.
“So what, mahal mo na? Kaya ayaw mo na agad sa akin?” He quipped, almost like he was offended. “Ganon kabilis?”
“Did you think I would really stay in love with you, Isaac? After you cheated on me with Louisse? Na on multiple occasions you assured me that was just your med school classmate?” Elijah was bursting in anger. She was fuming at the fact that she was being painted as the bad person when he had been cheating on her long before. “You are delusional, Isaac Sim.”
“Eli… You don’t love him—”
“That’s not for you to decide, Isaac.”
Isaac scoffed at her response, jaw visible tightening which scared her greatly. She never saw Isaac as someone who would harm her in any way, but that was before. He was a completely different person than she knew him as. She couldn’t be sure of how he’ll move next.
“Paano? Ganoon kabilis?” His voice was rising quickly which made Eli’s heart pound even harder but she kept her composure, not backing down even when tears were beginning to form in the corner of her eyes.
It was fast. Everything was fast with Leon but it felt natural. It felt light and normal, like it was meant to be there in the first place and really that feeling was so much different that when she was with Isaac.
“That’s disgusting, Eli,” he sniggered. “Just so you know, no one is going to love you better than I ever did. Ikaw? Who’s gonna love you at your state—”
“What the fuck are you telling my fiance?” Leon barked from the end of the hallway, which despite the volume of his voice, sent relief to Eli that she was no longer in danger, most especially when Alistair, Philomena and Belinda Valiente followed suit.
“We’re just talking, Doc—”
“You’re off Philomena's program, Sim. Pack your things.”
“Doc—”
“You are cornering my grandaughter, Sim. Hindi ka na nga maayos kumilos noong mga nakaraang araw, ko-kornerin mo pa ang apo ko?”
“I am not cornering her, Doctor Valiente, naguusap lang po talaga kami.”
“Hindi kami bulag, Mr. Sim. Lalong lalong hindi kami bingi, we heard what you said! Wag mo kaming ginagawang tanga. Alam naming matagal mo nang niloloko si Eli bago pa kayo maghiwalay kaya wala kang karapatan na sabihin ‘yan sa inaanak ko. Now, pack you things and find another institution that will tolerate your behavior because you are off my program.”
Eli just stood there in shock while Leon held her tight for deep compressions.
Isaac dejectedly walks out from the hallway, making Philomena and Belinda turn to Elijah who is now in a full blown meltdown from what had just happened.
“You’re okay, baby,” Leon assures kissing the top of her head as she tried to hold back sobs.
–
“Ellie,” Leon called from his seat on the couch inside the studio. He was sitting next to Gwen and Amir, who were visibly flirting with each other while her. Tobi and Jas were MIA doing god knows what, while Karlo, Elijah and Kyle were trying to figure out how to keep Karlo from being flustered whenever Ellie does one of Leon’s funky rhythm patterns that no one in the band who has the ability to play bass can do. Everyone had been trying to distract Eli from what happened that morning, avoiding at all costs to bring up what happened earlier for her sake.
“Why po?” Elijah asked, walking over to him, abandoning the two who were currently arguing about Karlo being distractible. “May masakit ba? Do you want to go rest na sa taas?”
“No,” he replied, grinning like a child when Ellie walked over to him. He was just glad that Ellie paid attention to him and not two of his bandmates anymore. He gets it though, neither Kyle or Karlo would even have the stomach to go for their bro’s girl, but it made him uneasy how easily they could if they wanted to, especially with Ellie not even being his girlfriend in the first place. “Just wanted your attention.”
“You are so annoying, Leon,” she laughed, playfully flicking his forehead as he reached for her torso pulling her close to hug her middle, resting his head against her stomach. “Nagpa-practice kami.”
“Magaling ka naman na, ako kaya ang nagturo sa’yo!” he whined, burying his face on her belly even more, attempting to blow raspberries on the exposed part of her stomach.
“Ay parang bata naman oh,” she laughed, trying to pull him away, holding both sides of his face to make him look at her. “Sure kang wala kang nararamdaman?”
“Nararamdaman kong gusto ko ng kiss–”
“Pasintabi naman!” Amir laughed. “Hindi nga kayo magjowa tas mas malala pa kayo sa amin maglandian!”
“What for? Ikakasal na rin naman kami?” Eli laughed at him, placing both of her arms around Leon, embracing him closer to her.
“Do you want me to court you?”
“Bitch, I don’t do ligaw.”
“She doesn’t do ligaw!” Jas laughed, entering the room, lipstick slightly smudged, with a smile on her face nonetheless.
“You should know this! Hindi ako nagpaligaw kahit kanino!”
“Hindi ka niligawan ni Isaac?” He exclaimed, appalled that Isaac did not do such when Eli nodded. “Bakit hindi?”
“Kasi I asked him not to,” she replied nonchalantly. “I find the concept of ligaw stupid. Like why would you put your best foot forward to impress a woman? Show me na agad how much do I have to endure then I’ll judge kung I want to be your girlfriend.”
“It seemed like Isaac put his very best foot forward pa rin naman the entire time,” Gwen argued.
“Oh edi tanga na ako, yun ga ang gusto mong sabihin?” Eli sassed at him.
“True naman! Tanga ka nga!”
“Do you love me enough to want me to be your boyfriend?”
Eli knew the answer to that
It was yes. Always yes and million times more.
But somehow a lump on her throat formed and she couldn’t form the words to say that yes, she was in fact, in love with everything Leon is and whatever it is that scares her so much from telling him that she loves him was an ass for getting in the way of things. Because she wants to tell him, but her heart is beating faster every second passing and because it still scares her that she wouldn’t know how to explain if he asked why.
“I’ll answer that later,” she smiled at him, pressing a soft kiss on top of his. “Will take that as an answer for now?”
“I can take it as an answer as a whole, baby,” Leon hummed, grabbing her by the neck to pull her into a kiss once again.
“Mahiya naman kayo sa mga kasama n’yo!” Tobi shouted from the door, entering with his crumpled shirt that’s not suspicious at all if you had an IQ of a rock.
“Kunwari nalang hindi halata na nagsession kayo ni Jas sa banyo, dugyot,” Amir shrugged at his friends, pulling Gwen loser to him. “Buti pa kami behave dito.”
“Eh subukan mong hindi magbehave pag hindi ka natupi sa walo ng Kuya n’ya na nasa taas,” Leon remarked, making the room burst into laughter, somehow making Eli forget about what happened earlier and the fact that she didn't know what to expect tomorrow.

“As you all know, Leon got involved in an accident a few weeks ago…” Amir stood in front of the microphone while Eli held Jacynthe’s hand on one hand and Leon on the other, while she waited for her cue. “We regret to inform you na hindi natin makakasama si Leon ngayong gabi dahil doon, we have a surprise guest tonight!”
“You may already know her by now dahil inispoil naman ni Leon kagabi,” the crowd roared upon realizing who was coming up the stage right now. “The woman behind most of the songs of Midnight Covey’s debut album and the Loophole's only full album, the woman behind Mahika, and the woman behind the humble beginnings of the Midnight Covey, I present to you, our bassist for tonight, Ruby Elijah Yang!”
“Hi!” Eli called, the crowd getting louder every passing second, until she could barely hear herself through her in-ears. “I’m Eli. I was a member of the Loophole and I am Leon’s girlfriend.”
Even the band seemed surprised by the sudden announcement, all of them jumping with happiness as they looked back at Leon from backstage. “Also we’re getting married, so I guess fiancée na pala ako.”
“Leon is off the market, unfortunately. Yun lang talaga ‘yung gusto n’yang sabihin, Covens,” Amir laughed.
“Hala ikaw rin naman,” Kyle rolled his eyes at him.
“Aba syempre, andyan ang baby ko sa audience! Nasan ang mahal ko?” Everyone roared, assuming it was then but the camera drone immediately spotted Gwenael, who was standing in the VIP section with the rest of their friends. “Ayan! Oh jowa reveal bigla.”
The first song in the set was ‘You’, which was the first song she helped Kyle produce during the early days of the band. While Leon has never been more proud that Eli was finally singing the song she’s always loved, Kyle could not feel anymore happier that after multiple demo recordings of You, she was finally at the point where she’s singing as a feature in the song.
“You really love our Eli, no?” Jas chuckled beside Leon, who sat comfortably in a monoblock chair, grinning like a chesire cat while he enjoys Eli’s live vocals through his in-ear.
“Always have,” he shrugged.
“Bakit mo iniwan noon?”
Leon glanced at back and forth from Jas and Eli before responding, “I didn’t want the pain of losing her as someone more important to me than she was, Jas.”
“Anong difference noon ngayon?”
“Better to love than not love at all,” he replied. “Noong nasaksak ako, I only had one thing in mind, I didn’t want to go home dead to Eli. So even if I was practically dying noon, I knew I needed to find a way to cheat death.”
After the set was wrapped up and everyone was good to go, everyone huddled in the bus that they had rented, laughing and enjoying the vibe that the stage had left them all.
“Did you enjoy it?” Leon asked, sitting sideways on the bus seat so that he would be able to look at Eli properly while she ate her fast food.
Elijah nodded enthusiastically. Leon couldn’t agree more. The stage lit up when she came like she was always meant to be there. She was a natural on stage, she didn’t need to be prepared to be there. She knew what she had to do and devoured Leon’s difficult bass lines like it was her forte all along.
“Inom kang gamot pagtapos kumain, okay?” He smiled, leaning over to kiss the side of her head, inhaling the scent of her coconut scented shampoo from her quick shower a while ago, that to everyone’s knowledge, Leon had the privilege of watching a while ago.
Eli hummed in response, nodding her head. “Thank you for letting me cover for you,” she smiled at him, after chugging down from her pink water bottle. “I appreciate it very much.”
“Masaya akong naenjoy mo ‘yon,” Leon hummed, looking at her before pressing a firm kiss on her lips.
“I love you, Leon,” she hummed as soon as Leon pulled away. He could physically feel explosions inside of him as soon as he heard it.
Elijah Yang loves him.
At that point, Eli could firmly distinguish the difference between the feeling of butterflies and fireworks inside of you. While the fireworks were loud, there was some comfort in the light it gave. Some kind of warmth that she feels whenever she watches it burn in the sky, leaving bright colors and painting picturesque memories in her mind. The butterflies were quiet and they were quick and fleeting to the memory. It made her nervous about happiness because of how quick it could die.
And for once, love did not make her feel nervous. Scared, for sure, of all the uncertainty that there is but nervous was never in the picture. Leon exudes comfort for her everywhere she goes. Someway, wherever Leon was, there was a sense of safety.
They have loved and lost and loved again. They were right after all. All roads lead back to where home is. And Leon is home.
And if the question goes around as to why she loved him so much, she still doesn’t know but she does love him. She just does. Regardless of if one day she’ll ever find that deeper meaning, she will love Leon until she can't anymore.
Leon threw blankets over her barbed wires before. His flee had sent her into a frenzy of desperation to find that comfort again that she allowed herself to be tricked.
Eli guesses that love really does make you stupid.
But all’s well that ends well, right?

Other people still speaking Quenya doesn't mean that the banning of a language is not a form of cultural genocide (you can't recognize the term when applied in the clearest sense in fiction but accuse ofc it's “everybody else” that doesnt know what it means and minimizing it). If you wanna invoke “real life” shit, languages that have been banned are still public knowledge, doesn't mean barring them wasn't an act in the name of eliminating that culture. The lang. survived *despite* his actions, not bc he was so accepting of them. And attempting to monopolize the common tongue or make your own tongue the lingua Franca of a place is still... xenophobic? It's xenophobia.
He wasn't "making" his language the lingua franca of Beleriand. It already was. Thingol was protecting his culture and people from being assimilated into the Noldor, who came with the express intent of establishing their own kingdoms and showed disdain towards the Sindar ("dark elf in his dark caves"). And like I said in the post, the ban was a way to enact some sort of consequence for the Noldor who murdered his brother's people, stole and burned their ships, lied to him about it and also disrespected him and his people. I really don't think he was trying to "eliminate" Noldorin culture. He told Finrod where to build Nargothrond because Finrod valued his input and showed respect and admiration for the Sindar. He honored Hurin and Morwen even though they were vassals of Fingolfin/Fingon. He doesn't prevent Cirdan or the Laiquendi from establishing positive relations with the Noldor, and he takes in Noldorin refugees after Nargothrond's fall, as well as Sindar who worked for the Noldor after Bragollach. The ban was his way of protecting Beleriandic/Sindarin culture, showing his authority, and yes, as a consequence for the Kinslaying.
I expressly did not "invoke real life shit" in my post because I don't feel comfortable using terms like racism to describe fantasy events (unless we're talking about authorial intent like how Tolkien wrote the Haradrim and Easterlings, which was undoubtedly racist). But if you want to go down that path, don't forget that Thingol and the Sindar were native to Beleriand, and the Noldor came to take and rule territory (among other reasons). Again, do not like applying this here and it's not an exact comparison but if we go with a simplified idea of colonizer/colonized, then the Sindar are in the position of the colonized. In a (limited) comparative hypothetical scenario, the ban is like if Mughal emperor Jahangir banned English in the subcontinent and told his subjects to speak only Persian/Hindi-Urdu with the East India Company. I see nothing wrong with that.
Also, not only did Quenya survive and remain accessible, in LotR it was still considered the "High Elven" tongue compared to Sindarin, so the ban didn't even make it taboo or associated with kinslaying.
To each their own though. I'm just defending my opinion, I don't expect you to agree with me.

INTRODUCING ... DANIKA CHAKRAVARTHY

HAIR COLOR: black
BIRTHPLACE: upper west side, manhattan, new york city
CURRENTLY LIVES: cardinal hill
SPOKEN LANGUAGES: english, telugu, hindi, & spanish
FACECLAIM: sobhita dhulipala
BIOGRAPHY
danika was born into a family invested in literature — her father a longstanding editor for random house before its big merger with penguin in 2013, while her mother is a beloved gothic and victorian literature professor at columbia university. it became less a matter if danika and her siblings would enjoy reading as a hobby, but when. especially since books were oftentimes scattered around the brownstone townhouse the bustling family lived in, from the novels being discussed in her mother’s courses, to the manuscripts in her father’s office that danika would more often than not sneak into to read.
creativity was embraced in the chakravarthy household, but not to an extent that should danika or her siblings find more academic holding in stem that it should deter them. danika herself would discover her dual love for art and writing at an early age, oftentimes drawing illustrations to work alongside the short stories she would write. she remembers the encouragement of her parents, even going to show her how her passion for her two skills can be applied to many creative forms whether that be children’s books, comics, or even graphic novels. to danika, her artistic ability shined brighter than her storytelling abilities. for this reason she would sharpen her focus on her drawing skills, practicing enough and enrolling in extracurricular classes that would allow her to hone in on her craft. her parents’ income allowed for danika to be tutored privately, keeping her grades up across the board so she could later on apply to the rhode island school of design for drawing.
high school fades into college where danika does go on to pursue an illustration degree from rhode island school. during this time she still writes, dabbles in her journal with short stories and ideas for potential future writings, but that’s all she ever really views it — dabbling. for as much as danika would like to write her own book and have a finished manuscript, like the ones that look at home on her father’s desk in his office, danika struggles putting the pieces together to form a full and cohesive narrative. or so she tells herself. it’s with that in mind that she decides her future holds best a career that showcases her art. her undergraduate years are filled with hard work and fun, before danika is walking across the stage with her degree in hand.
danika takes up odd jobs here and there in the first three years post college when she moves back home to manhattan, not quite feeling fulfilled at what she’s doing with her art when she knows she’s capable of so much more. it’s on a whim that danika decides to apply at a video game company for their open concept artist position despite not being much of a video game person herself. her flair for details between conceptual character art and landscapes is what earns her the job and as she settles in, danika comes to realize that she’s found her place.
as the years progress and danika enters her late twenties, she meets her partner where the two would eventually go on to become engaged. danika settles into her career with a promotion and pay raise before slowly dipping her toes back into writing. she may have stopped writing in her journal as much, but it’s with the insistence of her father that she doesn’t bury her voice and somehow finds herself in the side gig of a ghost writer. her parents both think danika is more than capable of fully devoting herself to writing her own book and it being successful on its own merit, but for now, danika is happy to write out the inner machinations of someone else's mind. danika pushes her own self doubts regarding her creativity to the side and enjoys the budding collection on her bookshelf of books she’s technically written, but have the name of someone else. the books act as a physical reminder that her writing is good enough to be published even if she hasn’t ever taken the plunge with her own ideas. danika is content with where she is in both her art career and her writing pursuits.
in terms of her romantic life, danika wishes she was as thriving as she is in her career. she and her partner were together for five years and engaged for a year and a half when things began to get rocky. her partner suggested moving to their hometown of blue harbor, illinois due to their new job offer in chicago. both believed a change of scenery and pace was what their relationship needed. fast forward eight months and the two come to the mutual decision to end their relationship. each claim a differing reason as to why they grew apart, but the only agreeable bit of information is that the two are stuck together in their lease for another few months since whoever breaks it is responsible to their share of rent until the other is able to find a secondary roommate to takeover, or pay until the end of the lease. as it’s a fairly pricey apartment, neither want to be the one to waste their money.
never one to retreat with her tail between her legs, danika keeps her complaints to the confines of her family and is sticking it out in hopes of moving onto the next chapter of her life soon. sharing an apartment with your now ex is less than desirable, but danika is hoping that it at least builds character. now she’s stuck in the town of her ex and his family, wishing she was back in manhattan but also slowly growing to enjoy blue harbor. to her, it feels almost like a betrayal with how her life flipped since arriving and she tells herself once her lease comes due in four months that her bags will be packed once again for new york.

{ali öner, 28, agender, they/them} We are so glad to see you safe, SULTAN FARHAD QAJAR of PERSIA! It’s dangerous out in the world these days, but I hear that you are KIND and ANALYTIC enough to handle it. Just don’t let your INSECURITY bring you down! Stay on your guard, because with your secret being at risk for exposure, you wouldn’t want everyone to find out THAT WHATEVER CURSE OR MADNESS HAS AFFLICTED YOU SINCE BIRTH ONLY GOT WORSE AFTER YOUR BROTHER'S DEATH
NAME: Farhad Qajar AGE: 28 GENDER / PRONOUNS: Agender, they/them ORIENTATION: Panromantic, demisexual, polyamorous

FAMILY: Only their sister Arshiya MARITAL STATUS: Formerly betrothed to Nabil Badi LANGUAGES: Persian (native), Arabic (fluent), Turkish (fluent), English (fluent), Spanish (fluent, written), Latin (fluent, written), Hindi (fluent, written)
cw ableism and internalized ableism, mentions of self-harm.
You still remember much of what they said about you when they thought you could not understand them. They said you suffered from a number of maladies — the physicians never seemed to agree on which one —, and that was one of the kindest statements about the matter. Some would whisper that the third child of the monarchs was born insane. The most superstitious claimed you were possessed, and even discussed various procedures to get you exorcised.
The truth is that speech simply didn't come to you as naturally as it did to others. It took many years for you to realize how that was an oddity.
Whether malicious or well-intentioned, the words soaked into your mind, but not into your parents'. They knew something was off, but rather than a curse, they thought of it as a blessing. A challenge from Allah to love and raise a child that others thought irreparable.
As they came to the understanding that crowds often sparked inexplicable tantrums, they decided to remove you from the eyes of the public, and focus instead on your education. Professors came and went, often believing their teachings were in vain. Yet, they never were — you would not respond or seem to pay attention, but were always listening and learning.
It was your brother who first found out about your words; the ones you wrote, not spoke. He did not let the rough calligraphy distract him from what was truly going on: poetry.
Khan kept your secret, but would visit more often, to offer his company and conversation. It seemed more like a monologue, but you were always attentive. He offered you books, as well, you feed your talent and inventive. He was the first person you ever replied to, too.
In time, he was also the one who prompted you to speak to the rest of your family — with a reassuring hand firmly planted on your shoulder. You remembered vividly the tears of your mother, who fell to her knees, and the stern pride and relief in your father's face. You came to understand this was the reaction of someone who thought their child miraculously cured of an illness that had plagued them for over a decade.
You never told them they were wrong. Whatever demon had a hold on your tongue was only dormant, not gone.
Nevertheless, from that moment on, you flourished. Your brother made sure you remained isolated like you desired, using your literary work as an excuse, although he could not prevent your future marriage to get rearranged to prince Nabil of Egypt. But while weren't exactly thrilled, you were alright with it. He was nice, and you two clicked the moment you met, even though it was not in the way you were expected to.
Life was easy and fine. You became a prolific writer, and pretended not to notice your symptoms, or your anxiety over your perpetually postponed marriage. Nabil was great; the idea of leaving your home for a place you were barely familiar with, not so much.
But when Khan died, your world turned upside down. He may as well have been the one keeping that demon at bay, for it returned in full force.
You lashed out at others, nearly babbling rather than forming coherent words, you destroyed things with the rage and savagery of a feral animal, and harmed yourself. Following who-knows-whose commands, the servants locked you away, as the palace was already in a dire enough state of disarray to deal with you as well. Silence followed the yelling and banging on the door, and it continued for days, in which you didn't even eat and can't remember sleeping.
When the fog started to lift, you were exhausted and terrified. That wasn't you. Whoever, whatever, got in control of your body, couldn't have been you. It wasn't easier than believing yourself insane, but it made more sense. The other thing you knew is that you couldn't stay, being a liability, a potential danger, to the crown and everyone around you. So you left. You vanished. In the middle of the night, without so much as a word.
Hardly anyone outside your family and their closest circle knew of your condition, but you sought refuge with your closest friend and have been living in Egypt ever since, under the King's protection. Speech gradually came back to you, and you improved. But recently you got word of your family being in shambles. Arming yourself with both love and courage, you come out of hiding to try to make things better.

hey do you have anything else about the conlon siblings?!
hi! i’m so sorry for leaving this unanswered for so long, tumblr loves not notifying me.
i actually haven’t really thought about them in a while, but i so do appreciate you taking an interest in my take on spot’s life. it means a lot.
however, i do have a scene from an unfinished fic of mine that i’m more than happy to share! maybe one day i’ll be able to finish it. in the meantime, i’d love to be able to talk about it more!
there is a handful of (google translate—i don’t know the language as well as i wish i did) tagalog, but there should be enough context to have an idea of what’s being said.
She lets out a breath and leans back onto the brick wall. Taking one last look at the newspaper, she gently folds it and tucks it into her pocket for safekeeping. Aside from the lodging house, all the nearby tenement lights have been turned off for the night. Only the stars and moon keep Spot company, and she basks in the peace and solitude.
It isn’t long until the window is creaking open and two small shadows are cast onto the railing before her.
“Ate,” drawls out Dash. “You’ve been takin’ forever, we’s tired’a waitin’. Christ, what took you so long?”
Running a finger over the familiar material in her pocket, Spot only answers, “Jus’ lost in thought, the night is nice. Didn’t mean’ta worry ya. Ready for bed?”
Dash nods.
“Narinig naming nag-uusap,” Mini says, leaning over the windowsill. “Nandito ba si Tony?”
“Race was here?” gasps Dash. “Bakit hindi mo sinabi sa amin?” she hits Spot’s arm.
Spot shrugs, too tired to deal with her sister’s interrogation. “He wasn’t here long, didn’t think it was too important to call ya over.”
“Don’t tell me you was kissin’ the whole time.” Dash makes a face.
Spot rolls her eyes, smacking her back. “Wala, nag-uusap lang kami.”
“Oo, talkin’ about kissin’, I bet.”
“Watch it. It’s past time’ta be a brat right now.”
“So, no stories?” Mini cuts in with a pout.
Spot’s heart breaks a little. Whenever he makes the trek over, they would pile onto the rickety fire escape at night and Race would regale them with the happenings over in Manhattan or he’d twist a story out of thin air. Those are always Spot’s personal favorite, while Dash claims to be too old for fairytales and delights in the crazy antics of the borough over. Mini could listen to Race read the obituaries and still watch him in awe, settling on the teen’s lap and falling asleep to the melodic tone of his voice.
She feels a little sad that Race had to leave so soon.
“Sorry, Sean,” she shakes her head. “Not tonight. Want me to read one of the books we have? I can do that.”
With a yawn, Mini nods his head while lifting his arms up to be carried.
“Sige, move aside.” She climbs back into the building and closes the window shut. Lifting her brother into her arms, she begins to usher her sister over to their bunk.
The rest of the night passes in a blur, the exhaustion of the day creeping up on her. The children’s book she reads sound like gibberish to her ears, she doesn’t quite recall getting up to switch off the lights, and it feels like an endless stream of goodnights until she collapses into her bunk still fully dressed.
Spot drifts to sleep that night with a thousand worries, yet without a single thought.

Mission rejected
- a short story by keinjournalist -
This is the story of a man who fully understood the meaning of the word soldier. He should be released from this body, because only the soul survives. And only if the soul wants it, then the body survives. But at what price?
Germany in 2024, the Bundeswehr has bought new F-35 fighter jets and is offering a pilot training program. Young Stephan signs up and is accepted. What nobody knew, except for a few close friends, is that Stephan has spent every cent on books since high school. His library receipt was record-breaking. In a small company building belonging to one of his friend's grandfathers, which was no longer in use, he learned everything about modern aircraft engines. In 2025, the year his training began, he knew everything about engines. In front of the instructors, however, he pretended that he was still learning. The friends were given an enormous boost of motivation by their colleague's success. The years passed and little by little his friends brought up the idea of the magnetic field engine.
As early as 2020 he joined an underground blog on the dark web that specialized in military knowledge and offered all kinds of information about 5th, 6th and even 7th generation fighter aircraft. The latter, however, was considered crazy and everyone who wrote about it was called a lateral thinker, although hardly anyone had checked the plans that could be viewed under this thread. All kinds of emotional outbursts in Chinese, Russian and Hindi could be read there.
Stephan wrote in his own subblog of the Hyperuranion blog about his fantasies of a community of all earthly warriors. An international association of the armed forces to bury the dispute once and for all. What he did not know, and neither did the others who faithfully read his essays, was how much attention this site was getting. Only one of the website operators had once taken a look at how many views the texts were getting. But he doesn't tell anyone. He also had no idea who was behind the number. Pretty much all the generals of well-known countries were there. And numerous (more powerful than anyone thought) paramilitaries, independent individuals and collectives.
The day came when Stephan had his first mission in Syria. There he was supposed to "neutralize a target". (A mission led by the American government.) In secret, however, he had finished the magnetic field engine that he had developed up to that point. Without attracting the attention of the German army, he installed it in the plane.
And so he flew "the new bird" over Syria. As soon as he arrived at the location, the commanders radioed confirmation.
The answer came as a surprise:
"Mission rejected!"
And so it happened, and all readers gradually began to switch off the security systems of the major cities. The F-35 flew over all the major cities in the world and everyone looked up to him. Loud cheering broke out. Parties were thrown. The excitement was high everywhere. Everyone expected the plane to be over their city soon.
One of the smartest hackers of the time, named Michael, made sure that there was not a soul in the building. A fake message here, a public viewing event there, financed by cryptocurrencies, so that no one was left in the building. He even managed to distract the caretaker when the time came.
The last city was Dubai.
And the powerful weapon found its purpose.
Found its worthy owner.
Hubris fell and became the grave of Mars.

Creative Ideas for Electrician Visiting Card Designs
In the competitive world of electrical services, standing out from the crowd can be challenging. One effective way to differentiate yourself is through a well-designed electrician visiting card. This seemingly simple tool can leave a lasting impression on potential clients and partners. In this blog, we will explore creative ideas for designing electrician visiting cards that will not only catch the eye but also convey professionalism and credibility.
The Importance of a Well-Designed Electrician Visiting Card
First Impressions Matter
Your business card is often the first point of contact between you and a potential client. It’s essential to make a positive and lasting first impression. A well-crafted card can reflect your professionalism and the quality of your services.
Reflecting Your Brand
Your business card should be a reflection of your brand. It should include your logo, brand colors, and fonts. Consistency in branding helps in building trust and recognition among your clients.
Conveying Key Information
A good visiting card provides essential contact information in a clear and concise manner. This includes your name, job title, phone number, email address, and company name. Ensuring that this information is easily accessible is crucial for networking and business growth.
Creative Ideas for Electrician Visiting Card Designs
1. Minimalist Design
A minimalist design focuses on simplicity and clarity. This type of design avoids clutter and uses ample white space to ensure that the key information stands out.
Examples:
Electrical work electrician visiting card with a clean layout, using only essential information and a subtle color palette.
Electrician visiting card design that highlights the logo and contact details with plenty of breathing room around the text.
2. Incorporate Electrical Elements
Incorporating elements that reflect your trade can make your card more memorable. This could include graphics or icons related to electrical work, such as light bulbs, plugs, or wiring diagrams.
Examples:
Design electrical work electrician visiting card with subtle illustrations of electrical circuits or tools in the background.
House wiring electrician visiting card featuring an image of a house with highlighted wiring paths.
3. Use of Bold Colors
Bold colors can make your card stand out. Choose colors that are associated with your brand and industry. For electricians, colors like blue, yellow, and black can be quite effective.
Examples:
Visiting card design for electrician with a bright yellow background and black text for high contrast and visibility.
Electrician business card that uses electric blue as the primary color with white text and accents.
4. Unique Shapes and Sizes
Traditional business cards are rectangular, but using a unique shape or size can make your card more distinctive. Consider die-cut cards in the shape of electrical tools or components.
Examples:
Electrician visiting card Hindi in the shape of a light bulb, making it memorable and easy to recognize.
Electrician visiting card Marathi with rounded corners or an unusual aspect ratio to stand out in a stack of cards.

If you operate in a multilingual region, having business cards in multiple languages can help you reach a broader audience.
Examples:

6. High-Quality Materials
The quality of the material used for your business card can say a lot about your brand. Consider using premium paper, textured finishes, or even plastic cards for durability.
Examples:

9. Double-Sided Cards
Using both sides of your business card allows you to include more information without cluttering the design. One side can feature your logo and contact details, while the other can highlight your services or a promotional message.
Examples:
Electrical visit card with the front side dedicated to contact information and the back side showcasing a list of services.
Electrical shop visiting card design with a special offer or discount on the reverse side.
10. Consistency with Digital Presence
Ensure that your business card design is consistent with your online presence. This includes using the same colors, fonts, and overall style as your website and social media profiles.
Examples:
Electrical visiting card in Hindi that matches the design of your website and social media pages.
Electrical work visiting card that includes your social media handles and website URL.
Detailed Design Elements
Electrical Visiting Card Design Online
Designing your electrical visiting card design online can offer flexibility and ease. Many online platforms provide templates that can be customized to fit your specific needs.
Visiting Card for Electrical Shop
When designing a visiting card for electrical shop, it's important to highlight the products and services available. This can include a brief list of key offerings such as electrical components, tools, and repair services.
Electrical Plumbing Visiting Card
If you offer both electrical and plumbing services, your card should reflect this dual expertise. Highlighting both services can attract clients looking for comprehensive solutions. This approach is beneficial for an electrical plumbing visiting card.
Practical Tips for Effective Business Cards
Keep it Simple: Avoid overcrowding your card with too much information. Simplicity often translates to a more professional and easy-to-read design.
Readable Fonts: Use fonts that are easy to read at a small size. Avoid overly decorative fonts that can be hard to decipher.
Use of Color: Choose a color scheme that aligns with your brand. Colors can evoke emotions and perceptions about your business.
Consistent Branding: Ensure that your business card design is consistent with your other branding materials, such as your website and brochures.
Professional Printing: Invest in high-quality printing to ensure that your card looks and feels professional. Poor quality printing can diminish the overall impact of your card.
Conclusion
A well-designed electrician visiting card is a powerful tool for any electrician. It serves as a tangible representation of your brand and can make a lasting impression on potential clients. By following the tips outlined in this blog, you can create an effective and professional electrician business card that stands out from the competition.

I had an idea! 💡
Lagi ko kasing nakikita around Araneta City that this is the City of Firsts, that’s their tagline. 🤭 And since I did something today—for the first time!!—why not start documenting them? 😂 I forgot a lot of them na, but it’s never too late to start anyway. 😋
So today, I bought and tried Dunkin’s coffee. ☕️ Spanish Latte ang binili namin since bumili rin kami last Sunday (for the first time), from Popeye’s, with the same mixture and… 🥴 we were utterly disappointed. So rito muna tayo sa Popeye’s coffee experience namin.
I’m not much of a coffee drinker, but I’ve been trying fastfood coffee’s because I live with 2 coffee lovers, alright. And I like drinking coffee naman, occassionally nga lang.
Going back… so nakita kasi ni ate Lly na may coffee na nga ang Popeye’s. After church, we decided to go and buy a cup of coffee for us each. Spanish latte ang binilo namin. Goodness gracious sa branch na ‘to rito sa Cubao. 😢 Walang sense of urgency ang mga staff, eh fastfood nga. :< I get that they may be tired, but I don’t think that’s the sole case here at all. Hay. We waited for about 20 minutes before kami nag-follow up. During those minutes, tatlo na ang narinig naming magreklamo. Two delivery riders complained about having to wait for too long. As in. Tapos one guy complained about the gravy that he requested. He just couldn’t help but complain. 😬 And there I was, an empty piece of a shell 😆, hindi na kayang i-mind ang own world ko because nangangawit na ako katatayo sa paghihintay sa coffee ko… na ‘di pa pala nasimulang gawin. 😃 Fuck. Teh, nagutom na po ako at nangawit at natakam na sa coffee. 😢 Maiintindihan ko sana kung buzzing ang branch, kaso hindi, eh. The staff inside the kitchen were chatting while making the orders with no sense of urgency. And when we tried to follow up, saka pa lang ginawa ang order namin. 😭 Haaaay. Tapos when I refused to take the straw, ang sabi pa sa’kin, baka matapos daw ang coffee. 😔 But the cup design is for sipping. Kung matatapon nga, why did the company had it as a design? I know it’s not the staff’s fault and I don’t blame them for that naman, it just defeats the purpose of the design. Kaloka. Tapos pagtikim namin ng kape… TEH?!! Ang tabanh, walang ka-kick-kick. Minadali pa yata. :< ‘Di naman kami nagpakita ng pagmamadali, we just really wanted our orders. It’s either mindala talaga kaya sobrang tabang na halos walang buhay na kami ang sinisipsip namin or gano’n talaga kapangit ang mixture ng Popeye’s. 😞 I don’t wanna risk it again and try buying from a different branch. And I swore that I won’t go back to that branch for anything again. Hay nako. First time trying a cup of coffee from Popeye’s and it disappointed big time.
Kanina sa Gateway, nakita namin ang kabubukas lang yata na store ng Dunkin’ and since natikman na ni ate Lly ang coffee do’n, we decided to buy ourselves a cup each. Spanish latte ulit. AND HOLY SHIT. The kick??? Hindi ako makasipsip nang dire-diretso. 😂 I felt like I’d palpitate. I’m not sure about how Spanish Latte should taste like but super tasty and strong ng version ng Dunkin’. Phew! I loved it! I feel like I could add more water to dilute it and it would still taste decently. Huhu. The best counter sa disappointment last time. Until now, as of typing, ‘di ko pa yata napangangalahatian ang large cup. HAHAHA. Baka ‘di pa ako makatulog mamaya, pero masarap talaga. Yey!
The tradition of buying ourselves coffee from time to time or almost whenever we go out started with Burger King. It started when we moved to Cubao. We enjoyed every cup from Burger King and that will remain the original tradition. That’s also a first time for me from Burger King. Sina ate Lly lang din ang nag-introduce sa akin. Mwahaha.
And that’s all about our coffee experiences here… yet. 😉

Fixed Rate vs Floating Rate Home Loan - Which Should You Apply for?
Having an own Aashiyana, fondly called in Hindi for a home, is everyone’s dream. The surging prices often make many stay away from realising their home dream. But there are banks and housing finance companies (HFCs) willing to offer home loans at attractive interest rates, making home buying possible for most, if not all. Home loan interest rates are available based on two types - fixed and floating rates. Each of these rates has different dynamics and impacts on home loan borrowers. The loan runs typically for about 15-20 years on average, resulting in massive interest repayments besides the cost of the house, which can be around INR 30 lakh to 75 lakh in the case of most borrowers. That gives you an idea of how important a home loan interest rate is. Saving on the interest repayment is critical to fulfil other life goals such as child education, wedding, retirement corpus, etc. Let’s brainstorm to find out the better option between fixed vs floating home loan rates.
What are Fixed and Floating Home Loan Interest Rates?
Both are defined by their names. While fixed home loan interest rates imply the rates will remain the same over the repayment tenure, floating rates will mean changes in interest rates over the loan tenure. The changes will happen as and when the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) decides on the Repo Rate, the rate at which the central bank lends to commercial banks. So when the RBI cuts the Repo Rate, the floating home loan interest rate will drop. In contrast, when the Repo Rate goes up, the home loan interest rate will go up.
Let’s Compare Fixed vs Floating Home Loan Interest Rates
Comparing fixed vs floating home loan rates based on costs, affordability and flexibility will help you choose the right alternative. Let’s start comparing based on such factors.
Costs
From the name, fixed rates can make you believe it incurs less cost. But it doesn’t remain the case. The interest rates on a fixed-rate home loan will always be around 3-4% higher than a floating-rate loan. In today’s times, the fixed home loan will likely come at an interest rate of around 13-15% per annum. A floating rate, in today’s times, can be accessed at 9-10% per annum. The inflation is on a high, so the floating rates are seen higher. From the COVID outbreak till early 2022, the interest rate was around 6.50-7.50% per annum on average at most banks and HFCs as inflation was under control. As inflation cools, the Repo Rate will drop, leading to a reduction in floating home loan rates.
Affordability
The home loan calculator EMI will show you the estimated repayment summary of both fixed and floating-rate loans. Let’s check the same on a loan amount of INR 50 lakh at a floating rate of 9% and a fixed rate of 13.50% for a tenure of 20 years. The floating rate home loan EMI will be INR 44,986, translating into overall interest payments worth INR 57,96,711 over 20 years. In comparison, the fixed rate home loan EMI will stand at INR 60,369, resulting in interest payments of INR 94,88,496 over 20 years. You can imagine how cheaper the floating-rate home loan is in comparison to its fixed-rate counterpart.
Flexibility
While a fixed-rate loan will run for the time decided at the commencement of the loan contract, the floating-rate loan, in most cases, finishes before the original tenure. With more interest rate cuts, the principal portion of the loan gets paid faster, leading to loan payment before the actual tenure. Also, when you wish to prepay the home loan or part pay it, there won’t be a charge on a floating rate home loan. However, fixed-rate loans will have a prepayment charge of around 2-4% of the outstanding loan balance plus Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Floating-rate home loan borrowers, obviously, have an advantage over fixed rate counterparts in terms of costs, affordability and flexibility. But all is not lost for fixed-rate loan borrowers. They can get it coveted into a floating-rate home loan by paying a conversion fee, which remains largely affordable.
Summing Up
Chasing and achieving the dream home must not come at the expense of financial paralysis. Carefully evaluating your present financial strength and home loan interest rates will be important to ensure there are no hiccups on the way. As income grows over time, you can anyway prepay or part-pay the home loan to reduce your interest liabilities. On behalf of zarooribaathai.in, we hope this blog has helped you in deciding the right course.

ZAKIR SETHUPATHI
nickname; baagee ( rebel in Hindi ) // age; 27 years old - january 8th 1972 // gender/pronouns; cis-man, he/him // occupation; rapper/associate // protected by sawayama // from new delhi, india
quick summary;
Zakir was born in New Delhi, India to a Muslim father and a Hindu mother. The preasure was always on, growing up. To get the highest marks at school, to be the perfect son. Zakir excelled in very little aside from languages. And as a darker skinned brown kid, he was at the mercy of his peers constantly. His uncle, a delhi businessman, travelled often to the USA, and brought back cassettes filled with hip-hop music for his nephews; Zakir and his three younger brothers. Unlike his brothers, Zakir grew obsessed with it. He'd written poetry all his life, and here was something that put poetry to music. Only a month before he turned eighteen, Zakir immigrated to New York City, to the city where hip-hop was born. He'd always thought that these kids were similar to him, facing the same struggles because of the colour of their skin. Reality hit him only a few months into trying to make a name for himself. He continued his attempt at doing exactly what everyone around him was doing, until he realised he was lacking in two things; originality and money. He started working for the Sawayama organisation as an interpreter and translator, able to switch quickly between languages. And this too he began using in his music.
personality;
Zakir has sculpted a personality for himself that he uses when in public, going by his stage name Baagee, meaning rebel in Hindi, he is all suave and charming. He's loose and easy to talk to, will spark up conversations with anyone, and isn't afraid to talk about his passion and his talents. He comes off as loving expensive things, beautiful women, and fast cars, while switching between languages at the drop of a head to impress people.
In the company of friends however, Zakir is much more anxious and reserved. He tends to say fewer words and gives more meaning to gestures and non-verbal communication. He's a romantic at heart, always looking for genuine love from others, and always worried about distorting this image of the suave rapper. He's especially worried of the outside world learning of his bisexuality, after all, a rapper is supposed to be seen with a woman at his side, not another man.
head canons;
Zakir is a polyglot, he was quick to pick up new languages in his youth and has mastered several, while always picking up new ones. At current he's fluent in Hindi, English, Russian, Urdu, and Arabic. While being able to understand and convey a general message in Spanish, Gujarati, and Japanese. And learning Mandarin and Portuguese.
He always wears glasses, most often sunglasses.
Can often be seen scribbling down new ideas in his notebook; sentences he hears that would work good in a song, concepts that would make for good songs, little poems, and quotes from people around him.
He addresses anyone his age with either habibi ( 'my dear' or 'my love' in Arabic ) or bhai ( 'brother' in Hindi / Indic language ), and anyone older than him as auntie or uncle. Does this consistently and with respect.
Despite his mastery of languages, Zakir still has a distinct accent when speaking in Russian, English or Spanish.
connections;
wanted;
friends
enemies
people he can learn languages from
fellow artists (any type of creative)
fans of his music
established;
Anchali Malee Shinawatra - pen pall / unrequited love
Katherine Boyd - friend / mutual banter

Formation of Navya Entertainment
Navya Entertainment, according to Google is one of the best India DJ services in New Jersey, as a matter of fact, in the United States.
We are an entertainment company based in New Jersey mainly focused on Indian weddings and other events. We are a high-quality DJ and emceeing service along with associated services such as stage lighting, dry ice, cold sparkles, etc. to make your event spectacular. Delighting our customers is our number one priority. Along with DJ services for the events, we also provide Hindi/Urdu song writing services for the independent artists such as Neel Nadkarni and for the independent films.
Everyone has dreams and aspirations in life, dreams and aspiration give our life a new dimension. We live in New Jersey. We as a family went to attend the wedding in Salt Lake City in Utah in July 2023. Just before I left for the wedding, my manager called me in his office, it looked like he wanted tell me something but since I mentioned I am going to Utah to attend the wedding, he didn't say what he wanted to say. We attended the wedding in Utah and came back to New Jersey. The very day went back to the office, I learned that half of the staff is getting lay off and since I joined as an independent contractor, my name was on the list as well. This didn't make me nervous at all. I remember going into park and complete one of the incomplete poems that I didn't complete for years. One of the benefits of being an immigrant is that you are confident that you could start all over again.
The idea of forming Navya Entertainment stemmed from my mind while studying Marketing Management at Rutgers University. We started with small events such as baby showers and birthday parties and then diversified our business in an Indian wedding market based on marketing research. When the pandemic hit in 2020 and the entertainment businesses were heavily impacted, Navya Entertainment channeled its creative energy to create two original Hindi songs filmed in a Tri-state area. Other than the services mentioned earlier, our Unique Selling Proposition is a digital game such as “Who wants to be a millionaire” (or “Kaun Banega Crorepati”) that will make your wedding a “never seen before” event.
I started with a gig in upstate New York. It was 4 hours long drive. Since no one else was available, I went with my dad. I got a great response and I was so happy. It's been 5 years now and if you search for Indian Djs in New Jersey or Indian DJs in United States on Google, Navya Entertainment's name will comes up in Top 10.

Bubblegum Black Chapter 6 is now live!
I missed my monthly deadline awhile back, but never fear, dear readers! I am back on my bullshit.
Celia and Swimming: See Anatomy of a Lovedoll - hell, see the first fifteen minutes or so of the first Bubblegum Crisis OVA - to see what I'm talking about. I'm fanon-ing that Celia is a) an excellent swimmer and b) uses it as catharsis when she's feeling disraught or disregulated. It just seems like the kind of thing she'd do.
ALMs: In this future, more robust AI exist, as envinced by the existence of Boomers, but cruder language-model AI from our time are still around. With the novelty of language model-generated content having all but worn off over the decades, most megacorps now use them in ways like this, generating metalinguistic code for automated and cyborg bureaucracy to whisper to each other over the company intranet. What? I think it's a clever idea. Paperwork often does feel like it's written in a foreign language, doesn't it? Might as well formalize that.
Sylvie and enemies: Despite Sylvie being largely a character of my own creation, extrapolated from so little screentime on her part in Moonlight Rambler, there are times when I worry that I'm writing her wrong. But I think I've figured her out. She's sweet and kind and loving, yes, but she's not passive, she left that passivity behind in Anchorpoint. She's going to make sure you know what she really thinks, barely concealed behind a flimsy veil of politeness. She'll be more straightforward with her comrades in arms, of course. Yeah. The more I play with Sylvie, the more I understand how to write her. I have an idea for a big scene involving her much later down the line and it's really exciting stuff.
Thuggee: Real-ass bandits of the Indian subcontinent, a name especially prominent during the Raj and not just in the one Indiana Jones movie. I think they should show up later in the fic - the idea of exploring how everyone outside of Roanapur but entangled in Koh Chang's business lives is fascinating to me - but for now they're not a big deal.
Bharat: Hindi name for India. Apparently the quasi-fascist BJP government there wants to change its name to double down on Hindu nationalist identity as the only valid identity in a nation of over a billion people, many of whom have alternative heritages that a secular nation would better serve. You can probably guess my politics, dear reader, from some of the stuff I post, and so you can probably guess that this element - one where a Hindu nationalist legion of psychotic gurus rules - is extremely dystopian. Honestly, I think more modern cyberpunk needs to acknowledge the rise of these governments, like in Hungary and Israel and potentially America if the '24 elections go badly. They're farces whose only selling point is internal bloodshed, eternal purges and cruelty. They can't even muster up the energy national revitalization they claim is so important to them, the way the fascist scum of the 20th century built armies for genocidal Lebensraum, because it's better to just privatize public services and fellate the divine power of free-market megacorporate tyrants. Let's call these sleazy fronts for corporate control and terror postfascist, then, shall we? I really should wave this word around a bit more often, it feels appropriate for cyberpunk. Anyhoo...
Rock and Guns: I don't remember where but I swear Revy's said something like this canonically. Here, though, it takes on an alternate turn. Instead of it being about who Rock is as a person, someone fundamentally unsuited for nasty violence as delivered by his hand, it's more Revy trying to protect Rock from Balalaika being nasty towards him. That's the idea, anyway. Balalaika is right, mind you. Rock has aided and abetted killing of all sorts constantly. He's more the gun that fires Revy's bullet than the other way around at times.
Revy getting a Hardsuit: What? Did you really think for one fucking moment that I wasn't going to do this? I've said as much! And reader, let me tell you, I am excited to do it. As for Balalaika... she might get a Saber hardsuit instead of a Russian 2050's powersuit, I'm still hashing that out. We'll see how things play out.
V.V. Vladilena: Balalaika's pseudonym for controlling Bougainvillea. A little joke on her part.
VHS-5: Further iteration of the VHS Croatian assault rifle. The newer version looks pretty cool, the older version has that FAMAS clone kinda vibe... either way, the point is that it's the kind of rifle Hotel Moscow owns a lot of that isn't explicitly Russian.
Vinfast: Yes, you heard me right, Vietnam's big fancy electric car company is still kicking in the 2060's! Sure, their cars are apparently quite shit now, but so were KIA and Hyundai's cars a few decades ago and no one would accuse the mighty chaebols of making such inferior product now. They're probably still plenty cheap in the ASEAN bloc, too!
Batwoman: Does Revy know that Batwoman's a canonical lesbian? Eh. Probably not. Are DC comics and Marvel and whatnot still around by 2069? Who knows, but I know Priss namedropped Batman in OVA 7, so maybe!
D-Company: D-Company is a real thing! Apparently its founder, Dawood Ibrahim, was on the FBI's most wanted for a hot minute! Apparently they're a pretty big deal in Muslim South Asia! Or were, anyway. Why put them in here? 'Cause I just didn't feel like having the Cosa Nostra in this fic. I'm sure the Italian mafia's reach spans the globe and as such could conceivably get its tentacles into Roanapur, but I wanted something a little different, something with more regional power. As for those other Islamic crime syndicates - Somali kinship networks I think I pulled out of a reference in Walter Jon Williams' Hardwired, and the Saudis-in-exile are, well, the Saudi royal family in exile, yeeted out of their own country following a bloody post-WW3 civil war. (The Emiratis control most of the Arab peninsula now, more on them around... chapter 8 or so. Not the next chapter I mean, the one after that.)
The Big Content Warning-y Moment: Whoo. Okay. Yeah. Blood and guts and gore and now this. Don't have your kids read this fic, folks. Revy's a very very bad role model. I did have someone say who read this a few days ago that while he could understand Revy, if she kept up her act he'd drop the fic. Which is fine, because I don't intend for Revy to get much worse. This is her low point, threatening someone with some really bad shit, someone who called her out on her other shit, and now? Well, now things are gonna change in Revy's head, hopefully. We'll see how things play out, won't we?
One last thing: I'd like to apologize for missing my self-imposed monthly update deadline by almost two months. It was annoying to me. I'm not sure if it was annoying to you, dear reader. I do have another chapter waiting in the wings that's shorter and sweeter in both senses of the word. With any luck, I'll be able to get it and another chapter out by the end of December. It's not a great place to be in - I wanted the climax of this arc to show up around the end of the year - but I need more time to make that happen.
After that arc, we'll have another arc, and another and another and then the fic will reach its conclusion. I'm excited to see where I can take this. Are you?

LACK OF INCLUSIVITY AND DIVERSITY AWARENESS
DIVERSITY & INCLUSIVITY WROKPLACE
the goals of diversity and inclusion in the workplace are similar yet different in that they both seek to make every workers work environment equitable and productive. the term diversity describes the range of traits that make up the workforce, including gender, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, and religion. conversely, inclusion describes the procedures and policies that guarantee each worker feel appreciated, valued, and encouraged to contribute to the bjectives of the company. due to their potential to improve performance, creativity, and innovation, diversity and inclusion are significant from an ethical and business standpoint. achieving diversity and inclusion, however, is a constant effort that calls for strategy and dedication rather than a fast fix. ang experience namin dito its like po sa school like may ibat ibang kang makilala at magiging kaibigan na may ibat ibang race/lahi or gender na may posibility na maging kaibigan mo din balang araw at maiintindihan modin yung society na ginagalawan nila at matutunan modin kung papano makisama at irespeto ang iba.
Inclusivity and Diversity is important to promote inclusivity and diversity awareness in various settings, such as workplaces, educational institutions, and communities. This can be done through education and training programs, policies and practices that promote equal opportunities, and creating safe spaces for open dialogue and understanding. By actively embracing and celebrating diversity, we can build a more inclusive and equitable society for all.

Your Ultimate Guide to Crafting a Memorable Construction Company Visiting Card
In the competitive construction industry, a well-designed visiting card can make all the difference in establishing your brand, securing clients, and expanding your network. This comprehensive guide will explore the elements that make a construction company visiting card memorable and effective, ensuring it leaves a lasting impression on potential clients and partners. We’ll discuss key design principles, industry-specific considerations, and innovative ideas to help you create a standout card. We’ll also incorporate useful tips for designing a construction visiting card in Hindi and Marathi to cater to regional audiences.
The Importance of a Construction Visiting Card
A construction visiting card is more than just a piece of paper with your contact information. It is a representation of your brand, professionalism, and the quality of services you offer. Here’s why having a well-crafted visiting card is crucial for your construction business:
First Impressions: Your visiting card often forms the first impression of your business. A professional and thoughtfully designed card can convey trustworthiness and competence.
Brand Recognition: Consistent use of your logo, color scheme, and branding elements on your visiting card helps reinforce brand recognition.
Convenient Contact Information: A visiting card provides all essential contact details in one place, making it easy for potential clients and partners to reach out.
Networking Tool: A memorable visiting card can help you stand out at networking events and ensure that contacts remember you long after the initial meeting.
Essential Elements of a Construction Company Visiting Card
To create an effective construction company visiting card, you need to include several key elements:
Company Logo: Your logo is a visual representation of your brand. It should be prominently displayed on your card.
Contact Information: Include your name, title, phone number, email address, and website. Make sure the information is current and easy to read.
Company Tagline: A short tagline that sums up your business can add an extra layer of professionalism and help clients understand what you do at a glance.
Services Offered: Highlight the key services you provide, such as residential construction, commercial projects, renovations, or civil contracting.
Call to Action: Encourage potential clients to take the next step, such as calling for a consultation or visiting your website.
Design Elements: Use high-quality images, elegant fonts, and attractive colors to make your card visually appealing. Ensure the design aligns with your brand’s aesthetic.
Design Principles for a Building Construction Visiting Card
Creating a building construction visiting card involves a blend of creativity and strategic thinking. Here are some design principles to consider:
Simplicity: Keep your design clean and straightforward. Avoid overcrowding the card with too much information or complex graphics.
Readable Fonts: Choose fonts that are easy to read, even at small sizes. Avoid overly decorative fonts that can be hard to decipher.
High-Quality Images: If you include images, ensure they are high-resolution. Low-quality images can make your card look unprofessional.
Color Scheme: Use colors that reflect your brand’s personality. Bold, strong colors can convey a sense of reliability and strength, which is important in the construction industry.
Double-Sided Design: Utilize both sides of the card to include more information without overcrowding. For example, one side can feature your logo and contact details, while the other showcases your services and a call to action.
Unique Ideas for a Construction Civil Contractor Visiting Card Design
A construction civil contractor visiting card design can stand out with the following ideas:
Highlight Specializations: Clearly state your areas of specialization, such as road construction, bridge building, or infrastructure projects. This helps potential clients quickly identify if your expertise matches their needs.
Showcase Certifications and Awards: If your company has received any certifications, awards, or special recognitions, make sure to highlight them on your visiting card. This adds credibility and shows potential clients that you are recognized for your excellence in the industry.
Use Industry-Specific Icons: Incorporate icons related to construction, such as cranes, hard hats, blueprints, or tools. These elements can be subtle yet effective in reinforcing your brand identity.
Provide a QR Code for Easy Contact: Adding a QR code to your construction visiting card is a modern and practical idea. QR codes can link directly to your website, portfolio, or contact information, making it easy for potential clients to get in touch or learn more about your services.
Creating a Construction Visiting Card in Hindi and Marathi
Catering to a regional audience by creating a construction visiting card in Hindi or construction visiting card in Marathi can broaden your reach and show cultural sensitivity. Here are some tips:
Accurate Translations: Ensure that all the text on your card is accurately translated. Avoid using complex or technical terms that may be difficult for the general public to understand.
Cultural Symbols and Icons: Incorporate cultural symbols or icons that resonate with the local population. This can make your card more relatable and appealing.
Highlight Local Projects: Showcase projects you have completed in the local area. This builds trust and demonstrates your familiarity with local construction standards and practices.
Innovative Design Trends for Construction Visiting Cards
Staying updated with the latest design trends can help your construction company visiting card stand out. Here are some innovative trends to consider:
Minimalist Design: A minimalist design with plenty of white space and simple, clean lines can create a modern and sophisticated look.
Eco-Friendly Materials: Using recycled or sustainable materials for your visiting card can appeal to environmentally conscious clients.
Interactive Elements: Incorporating interactive elements such as AR (augmented reality) features can make your card more engaging and memorable.
Unique Shapes and Sizes: While standard-sized cards are common, using unique shapes or sizes can make your card stand out. Just ensure it remains practical and easy to carry.
Practical Tips for Printing and Distribution
Once you’ve designed your construction visiting card, it’s time to print and distribute them. Here are some practical tips:
High-Quality Printing: Choose a reputable printing service that offers high-quality paper and printing options. Matte or glossy finishes can add a professional touch.
Standard Size: Stick to standard business card sizes to ensure they fit easily into wallets and cardholders.
Card Stock: Opt for sturdy card stock to prevent your cards from bending or tearing easily.
Distribution: Carry your cards with you at all times. Distribute them at networking events, local businesses, and to satisfied clients who can refer you to others.
Digital Version: Create a digital version of your visiting card to share online or through email. This can be particularly useful for reaching tech-savvy clients.
Examples and Inspiration
Let’s explore some examples of construction visiting cards to inspire your design process:
Minimalist Elegance: A clean, white card with a subtle logo, simple fonts, and minimal text can exude elegance and professionalism.
Vibrant and Bold: A card with bright colors, eye-catching fonts, and bold graphics can convey a trendy and modern vibe.
Nature-Inspired: Incorporate floral or botanical elements for a soothing, spa-like feel. Soft greens and pastels work well for this theme.
Luxury and Glamour: Use metallic accents, such as gold or silver foil, to create a sense of luxury and sophistication.
Incorporating Technology into Your Construction Visiting Card
Incorporating technology into your construction visiting card can make it more engaging and functional. Here are some ideas:
QR Codes: Adding a QR code to your card can link directly to your website, portfolio, or contact information. This makes it easy for potential clients to get in touch or learn more about your services.
NFC (Near Field Communication): NFC technology allows users to tap their smartphone on your card to instantly receive your contact information. This is a modern and convenient way to share your details.
AR (Augmented Reality): Incorporating AR elements can provide an interactive experience for your clients. For example, scanning your card could display a 3D model of a building or a virtual tour of a construction project.
Conclusion
Creating a unique and effective construction visiting card involves a blend of creativity and strategic thinking. By emphasizing your logo and brand colors, highlighting key services, using high-quality images, incorporating industry-specific icons, providing accurate translations, and ensuring consistency in your branding, you can design a card that not only represents your business but also leaves a lasting impression on potential clients.
