It's genuinely great. He's an automotive designer by trade (rims specifically, which is why his garage is Like That) and cars are also his hobby, so he's well equipped to get THE BIG in fighting fit. VSMALL has been a complete bolts-out restoration; it's immaculate.

He says someday he's going to get A MEDIUM. I say it ought to be a hearse, since clearly it can talk to ghosts.

On a scale of 1-10, how tragic is it to be greeted by the sight of your family having the time of their life with your perceived Replacement after you just crawled your way out of hell trying to get back to them?

I was watching Tangled with my sister the other day and I noticed something that makes the Flynn Rider wanted poster nose bit several times funnier. It’s a woodcut print. There are clear noise marks (bits of wood left on the block that aren’t meant to be a particular object that add texture to background/blank areas instead) and the general style/markmaking very clearly indicates that it’s a print if you have any familiarity with the process.

The absolutely hilarious implications of this are that instead of reusing the same block for every poster like you would expect, and like what seems to be happening for the other wanted persons (which would result in the same nose every time), whoever is in charge of the wanted posters has likely cut a chunk out of the block where the nose goes and carved multiple alternative noses to switch in for different editions of the poster.

Common Rider - Set The Method Down

I love that Tendou spends the entirety of Kabuto in love with Kagami. I love that it takes Kagami like 40 episodes to figure it out because he's a dog person trying to understand a cat. I love that Tendou seems so cold because he's so self-centred and blunt at times while overly vague and closed-off at others, but his love is all-encompassing and unconditional. I love that Kagami is the typical bumbling main rider in the role of the secondary, that Tendou is his rival but not vice-versa, because Tendou is still the true main rider who openly likes his ill-tempered secondary from the start, though he shows it in a way that no one who doesn't know Tendou would be able to understand. I love that when Kagami finally figures it out, he realises it's been love the whole time, and that there's no grand gesture needed. I love that he knows Tendou at that point. I love that he understands what Tendou wants to hear, and it's not bold proclamations or heroic speeches, but something that seems blunt and presumptuous in the way Tendou himself is. Cook something for me (continue to love me) (I want to be loved by you)

we all know that Goku and Vegeta's foil in terms of their divine transformations is literally just Freud's Id vs Ego, right

Like how id is raw instinct with no particular pattern and ego is the conscious command over one's instincts

like how Goku's body moves on its own without any conscious input, and Vegeta still has complete and distinctly conscious autonomy while flooded with immense power he has no experience controlling

like we must have talked about this, right? as a family?

this is a little belated by I saw @dayinthedeath's discussion about who in torchwood is most likely to be spiderman and I needed to join in with this proposal: it's a team effort in united nerdy idiocy

i genuinely love when you can tell an older show was Not made with high quality video viewing in mind. i am watching knight rider and constantly seeing all the little mistakes they surely brushed under the rug thinking nobody would see them on their crunchy little CRTs back in the 80s, that are huge attention grabbers now in HD fullscreen on my 3 foot computer monitor

the biggest one of course is all the drivers/controllers for the (in-universe) self driving car, kitt. there's guys tucked down in the footwells who can't always stay out of the shot. there's a guy who has a Car Seat Suit to blend in and look like the drivers seat from a distance, but you can always tell when that's the method they're using for a particular shot because its so much thicker than the passenger seat next to it and the headrest is missing it's cutout section. in at least one instance he starts taking the suit off too early, on a focus shot of the damn car, so its REAL visible.

all the extremely obvious stunt drivers or performers who look nothing like the character they're supposed to be

props, such as animals, vanishing from the car interior for stunt/race sequences.

the production crew (or their shadows) being visible in the background. only at a glance, but its especially hilarious in shots where nobody else is supposed to be around

the camera panning out from a sound stage set far enough that you can actually see over the edges of the set and into the stage they were filming in. mostly this happens with their truck trailer mobile unit thing.

this one isn't a mistake but every time the car "turbo jumps" they CLEARLY hide the ramp behind another car, a prop, the environment, and its just. so charming. sometimes its blatantly on screen just for a moment. like... of Course in real life this car isn't magically leaping 20 feet, of course its a ramp, but it's still so silly and fun to be reminded of how they were doing those stunts to begin with.

also not really a mistake but related, the bracket they keep on the front of the car for stunt work.... is just left on half the time. cuz it's a pain to take on and off.

and there are more examples that are more unique that haven't cemented themselves in my head well yet, but these are the more notable or common things i see and it's really charming. if i'm not giggling to myself noticing the "seams" and flaws and so human imperfections of your show or movie what EVEN is the point. hollywood is too flashy these days i think!
