Sep 2022 first time Louis mentions a 3rd album. Louis is quoted in Euphoria Magazine saying: “Ideally, I’d like to try and write the next record before I go on tour next year. Sep 14th 2022 Louis leaves a comment on Faith In The Future co-writer Nico Rebscher's instagram post about Out Of My System saying "Can’t wait to do more on the next album!"

Jan 2023 Louis is on holiday in Cabo, Mexico and is spotted travelling with his guitar - maybe in case inspiration strikes!?

Feb 22nd 2023 Louis is seen "a tiny village with a recording studio in it". A few days later both Louis and Matt Vines likes an instagram post by Faith In The Future co-writer David Sneddon captioned "Spent the week at @ angelicstudiouk with friends and heroes." Another FITF co-writer Theo Hutchcraft is seen in one of the photos.

May 11th 2023 Louis tweets: "Also probably shouldn’t mention this so early in the process but I’m feeling really confident creatively, just finished a week of writing and it was unbelievable. Exciting!"

May 13th 2023 When asked about the next album at the LA screening of All Of Those Voices, he answered: “I recently just started, yeah. The majority have been my own, but some of the lyrics is less direct, so it’s maybe not quite as specifically about me but,I felt really fulfilled, the last couple of writing sessions I’ve done have been really, really good.”

Nov 23rd 2023 Louis gets asked about album 3 at the Rolling Stone UK Awards and is quoted saying: “It’s funny, I wrote maybe 4 or 5 tunes in one of the breaks of the tour legs, and actually, I just wanna spend a bit of time. I’m really excited for those songs, but I don’t know when the next records gonna come and the thing about me is when I start writing, I’m just desperate to release things as soon as a possible, so I wanna take a bit of time on this record. So when that might be, who knows.” He also talks a bit about potential collaborators and mentions DMA'S.

Jan 24th 2024 When asked in a twitter Q&A if he has "a concept in mind already for the next album?" his answer was: "Started drawing the outline in my head". He also told fans asking at the meet 'n' greet in Jakarta that it would be "soon, in my context of the word" 😜

Mar 30th 2024 At the Tecate Pa'l Norte press conference he said: “At the moment, um— to be honest, I haven’t really— the question was what I listen to which is a slightly different thing but; I haven’t really given the next record real thought yet. Obviously it’s been on my mind. But in terms of conceptually, or even finding references, I’m not really at that point yet because I’ve done a lot of touring— just kind of getting that out of the way before I really start thinking about that proper.”

April 4th 2024 He told Chilean radio station Bio Bio: “I have written a couple of songs, but when I was writing them I wasn’t thinking about what they would be for a new album, they were just written to give me something to write and not put pressure on those songs. But I think I will start the work on a new album at the end of this year, maybe.” futher elaborating to Radio Disney Chile: “The good thing about this record is I’m gonna have plenty of time to experiment and with that it gives you plenty of room to just kind of find where the edges of the record live. So yeah I’m looking forward to getting into the process, but like I said I’ve been loving touring at the moment so just been kind of sticking to that.”.

He also told Paraguayan radio station HEI Now: “Of course there’ll be a new album. When? I’m not overly sure. I think I’ll probably start writing at the end of the year. I just wanna let as much life in first and then I can really start emoting and writing.”

June 2024 In the FITF tour LatAm recap video posted to Louis’ instagram 25/6 he says: “At some point I gotta think about the next record, but.. I’m a bit scared of that, truthfully right now, feel like I’ve been enjoying the success of Faith in The Future for.. quite a while. And yes, it’s been the pressure of the shows but I delivered what I think was a good record and a record that was successful. So now going into the next cycle it’s a little bit.. a little bit tentative going into it. I know that’ll change once I get off the road and really start thinking about the essence of the record and the concept of the record and stuff like that. But right now.. yeah, I’m just thinking about the festivals, I’m excited for those.” (he also talks - in past tense about playing in Mexico City and about the upcoming Away From Home Festival, so we can assume this interview was done somewhere in early June)

August 4th 2024 Responding to a fan sign at Santander Music Festival that said "How close R we to the next album 1-5?" showing three - possibly four? - fingers! meaning the album is 3/5 (or 4/5?) done!

Oct 4th 2024 curious activity across Louis' socials; on twitter the header image was changed from the Louis Tomlinson : Live album graphic to just the cover image and the Faith In The Futuretweet was unpinned (like it was on Louis' insta 9/9). on Louis' instagram the bio text was cleared and the link to louist.lnk.to/live was also removed.

Oct 6th 2024 Louis replies to a fan on twitter asking if new music is coming with "Only been off tour 2 minutes. The next record is going to be my best yet but need chance to let life in first!"

Timeline Theory…

July 2022 S3 starts filming, tension between L&J as they spend more time apart and L grows closer with N (I think L also has long harbored feelings for N and therefore withdrawing from J/emotional cheating leading to J doing the same with her costar)

November 2022 L&J break up, but it is messy and takes time bc they were living together and there was an expectation of forever from J, she struggles to let go)

During Filming - N and L act out their feelings (literally) but most likely not off screen, however their friendship and bond grows tenfold, at some point N is filming Big Mood and Camilla likely tried to ground N and tell her to take some time away from L to see if the feelings are real

March 2023 - Filming wraps, N friend zones L and tries to push her feelings aside, tells him to go travel and live the single life post J breakup (in a later clip that Tif posted she expressed how happy she was for him that he was traveling)

HBS 2023 R influences L to go on Raya to find a girl similar to S that will jive with the group so they can go on couples trips together, meets A and they start a casual fling

Fall 2023 - L is not working and has lots of down time (guess who else does as well), spends time with his friend group and A, but my guess is that they rarely see each other one-on-one and it is more of a group dynamic, go on couples trips with R&S

Jan 2023 A wants to make things official, but L says the timing is off with him going on a long press tour, he promises to spend time with her when he can, bringing her on work trips when able (Paris, LA, etc.)

*Around this time N may have been dating E, but I’m still not convinced that’s true. I think they were just close friends.

Through the press tour L&N’s feeling resurface, but there is underlying tension because L is seeing A, even though L is not ready to make it an official relationship (hence N’s comment during the paddle game about being friends and hanging out alone being a “mixed message”)

NY Premiere - A surprises L and there is tension, he doesn’t want her there and there’s friction at the after party, but he ultimately is too nice and makes up for it the next day by taking her to the basketball game in place of his sister (who probably told him to)

Brazil - At this point I think L&N talk about their feelings and L is upfront that he can’t cut ties with A at the moment, he’s probably worried about how it would affect the friend group dynamic and he probably already promised to take A on the trips after the promo tour (Milan, LA, GQ), but continues to tell N it’s casual and they are friends with benefits (I find it hard to believe A didn’t flirt with other guys while L was away for 6 months), N understands and encourages him to talk to A about the situation

Break Period - L takes A to soho house as an apology for NY and they discuss the situation, L expresses his feelings for N and tells her he will still take her on the trips to help her with her career as a friend

Canada/Ireland - Feelings between L&N become real and they talk about it, decide to take things slow, L makes it seem he has wrapped up things with A and N believes him

London - I don’t think L arranged the pap walk, I think someone on his team did (same one who told A about Brazil) or possibly someone from A’s camp although I find that hard to believe because I feel he would have dropped A quickly if that was the case. I think L was unaware his relationship was under a microscope and brought her to Milan not realizing people would be desperate to get photos. N was probably upset that he brought her to Milan after the pap walk and her show of public support. I have a feeling she decided to shove her feelings back down to protect herself from being hurt and told L to go off and be with A and the TT was a way to get L’s attention and also to use humor to try to get fans to back off and think she was ok)

NYC - the next day N flies to NYC to talk to L in person and potentially meet with the Netflix/Shondaland team to talk strategy, N expresses to L that she can’t be caught up in a love triangle at this point because of the negative attention and press, and the team decides the best thing for L is to carry on with A as normal until things fizzle and the attention shifts, NDAs were probably signed and A was told not to post anything about L, but she is desperate for attention and so are Ls friends so they continue to cryptically send messages to the fans that they are with him.

At this point I think things are fizzling with L&A, and the planned commitments and travel have all passed, and they are taking space, hence the need for A to keep recycling old content. I think L misses N and is trying to focus on himself right now while trying to keep everyone happy so as not to cause unnecessary drama (hence liking As posts)

The friend group probably feels bad and is trying to hype A by commenting and posting about her to show that even though her and L may not be together she is still welcome. A is riding the fame wave by piggybacking off of N and L is probably unaware. I think he has notifs turned on for N & A but otherwise is staying off of social media for his mental health.

i'm running low on political takes, but i have one more regarding an important topic.

for everyone who is talking about the climate and dooming regarding the future of a world where we won't stay below 2C, i really need you to understand that was never going to happen anyway.

rather than try to explain it myself, below is a comment from reddit that mirrors my thoughts and expertly breaks down the timeline over the last 4 years with sources and dates. long post below.

I see that it is once again time to remind partisans, apologists, and deniers in this subreddit that they should not blame leftists, immigrants, young folks, disengaged folks, migrants, or whatever outgroup. Place the blame solely on the party that was supposed to run Joe as a one-timer in the name of stability before ponying up a progressive leader. Instead they spent four years jerking off fossil fuel companies. By laser focusing your attention of identity politics - intersectionality without critical analysis esp class struggle - they accomplish ghoulish feats such as drastically expanding fossil fuel extraction and juicing the military industrial complex. No, the democrats aren't better or even less bad with respect to the environment.

Somehow, absurdly, this timeline has produced a political party that denies climate change, but through their own ineptitude is less accomplished at greasing the wheels of business. On the other hand, the party that softly acknowledges climate change has produced outcomes that are significantly, horrifically, catastrophically worse for the environment. Biden's presidency saw massive fossil fuel expansion despite his explicit promise not to. Harris promised to continue that and expand fracking. Please read below links carefully and ask yourself what job you're going to do in very near future economy: soldier or field laborer

Debunking misinformation about Netflix's The Witcher (Part 5)

"The show was supposed to have 7 seasons."

So. This isn't quite true and this rumor has largely been based off of what was basically a misunderstanding of what Lauren said and the subsequent misreporting of that along with the media never really following up on any of her clarifying comments, either — all of which is the thing that I really want to get into.

First off, I will preface this by saying that at one point, Lauren did say something along the lines of how she pitched "season 1, then season 2, season 3, 4, 5, 6, 7" to Netflix. Unfortunately, I cannot find this quote at the moment, but I do think that should be noted. However, as far as I can tell, the main source of the rumor that the show was originally planned for 7 seasons is not based off of Lauren having said that but rather this SFX/gamesradar interview instead:

The basic gist of what she was saying was that she initially mapped out 7 seasons with the idea of 1 season = 1 book, essentially, which she mainly did in order to have an overall sense of where the characters were going. So, was there a rough draft, outline for 7 seasons? Sure. Were there definitive, concrete plans that the show was always supposed to have 7 seasons? imo, no.

Just to address this, too, and how the subsequent misreporting of inaccurate information spreads: People — and not just the fanbase but other media outlets, too — usually cite this Hollywood Reporter interview with Henry Cavill as proof that the show was always supposed to have 7 seasons because he said he'd be up for doing that many:

But Henry Cavill was never directly quoted as saying that, and given that he was never directly quoted, it's likely that the interviewer asked him something along the lines of "Would you be part of the show for 7 seasons?" which prompted the answer he gave — and there is a difference between Henry Cavill himself saying that there's going to be 7 seasons and he's down for being part of the show for that long vs an interviewer asking him if he'd be up for doing 7 seasons of the show (which has been based off of the subsequent misreporting of what Lauren said in the first place) and him answering yes.

On top of that, here's an earlier season 1 interview Henry Cavill did with Elle where he talks about how many seasons he hopes the show goes to:

Which imo also only goes to show that the idea that there were ever any definitive plans for 7 seasons is not an accurate depiction of the situation.

Season 3 debuted at #1 on the Top 10, it stayed at the #1 spot in the Top 10 for a total of 3 weeks, and it stayed in the Top 10 altogether for 8 weeks.

It had approximately 54.8 million views over the course of 186 days — 6.9 million views in 2 days (from Netflix's Jan-Jun 2023 data) + 49.7 million views in 184 days (from Netflix's Jul-Dec 2023 data.)

It was also the 5th most watched show in Netflix's Jul-Dec 2023 data, which I think is the most important factor because regardless of how the season-by-season numbers look and any potential drop in viewership, it was still one of the most watched shows on the platform during that time period.

The show was already rumored to have been renewed for season 4 and season 5 back in September of 2022.

So, long before season 3 even aired or it was announced that Henry Cavill was leaving the show or any other season 3 related issue. Given that Netflix already has a track record of shows rarely going beyond 5 seasons, if that, I think it is entirely probable that it was renewed for season 4 and season 5 back in 2022 with the intention for the show to end after that point anyway — although, granted, this hasn't been confirmed.

Also, like, despite claims otherwise, the show is following the books and the books do have a set endpoint. The show ending where the books do is not the show being cancelled, it's just the show coming to its natural conclusion like the books do. Also just to say, but it is entirely possible for the show to adapt the last 3 books into two seasons anyway. Baptism of Fire largely focuses on Geralt's story, not Ciri's as she's hardly in that book, whereas The Tower of the Swallow largely focuses on Ciri's story, and both books roughly take place over the course of summer/fall. It is extremely probable that S4 will cover Geralt's story in BoF and Ciri's story in TTotS (especially as we already know that Bonhart will appear in S4 and he's really not that prominent of a character until TTotS), leaving the remainder of TTotS and The Lady of the Lake for S5 (which roughly covers winter/spring, just to give a sense of the timeline in the books.)

We know he doesn’t comply to anything. He does what he wants. Like with Tae mentioning & engaging with Jk all the time - Jungkook doesn’t. I don’t think he’s holding back in any regard either. If he misses a member, he will say. If he wants to see a member, he will say and invites them over. If he wants to do a live drinking, he will. If he doesn’t want to cut his hair, he won’t. Jungkook only doesn’t mention hanging out with or meeting up with any of the members cause I guess he feels he doesn’t need to/it’s not a need to know thing what he’s doing (if it’s not work). With the exception of his own rule being asking jimin over about 3 times.

(Compared to jimin, where Jimin mentions who’s he’s seen & hung out with when asked. He will openly say if he hasn’t seen certain members in a while or who he went to eat with or who he saw recently at the building. He said he’d be back after work when invited over - I don’t think he’s overly shying away from answering questions either and just all together doesn’t answer a question if he knows he won’t answer it )

All Jungkook does in the current Taekook dynamic is accept Taehyung’s invitations to hang out as both were the only members from Nov 2022-March 2023 who weren’t doing anything at all, as the others were busy with albums & collabs AND allow Taehyung to come over when he asks (just like jimin asking to come over to eat ramen & jk saying I’ll do it for you). Which is what a good natured friend does. We know it’s Taehyung inviting Jk out all the time instead off the other way round cause it’s always with Taehyung’s friendship group or associated with the Wooga squad in general.

Jungkook doesn’t broadcast who he’s seen. We just know if he’s got schedules if he mentions it & what he’s been doing that day if he cares to say so.

What we DO know:

- It’s Taehyung that asks Jungkook to hang out (purely based on how it’s always with Taehyung’s friends)

- it’s Jungkook that asks jimin to hang out several times (asked him over for chicken, asked to go see his music performance, asked him to go boxing with him, asked him to stay on his live/come over)

- Jungkook has ONLY asked jimin to hang out & no one else

- Jungkook has only engaged & commented on jimin’s live but not for others unless it was their birthday (Suga’s)

- Jungkook engaged heavily with jm promotions & projects + congratulated him on his wins & visited his practice

- jimin has mentioned being over in response to jk asking him over saying he will be back after work

- jimin leaves comments on everyone’s lives but never missed jk’s when he was working and only stopped recently when his promotions ended

- Jungkook has been quiet since jimin’s promotions ended when he used to go live every week from late jan - late March the most busy periods for jimin + goes live only when jimin is about to catch a flight in a few hours or already gone. The exception being the live Taehyung started when Hobi was there.

- Jungkook has only acknowledged jimin’s album out of them ALL (a little bit for Hobi Aka a post on his IG stories) he was promoting Jimin’s enthusiastically but went quiet for Suga’s & RM’s (I don’t think he’s mentioned them at all, I could be wrong)

And we are in disagreement, well not total, but partial, straight off the bat.

And your starter here is:

"We know he doesn’t comply to anything. He does what he wants."

This base line of yours is, in my opinion, not completely accurate.

JK is a non conformist, meaning he does not play by societal rules. An example to that is his tattoos. He will live his life according to the way he feels is right and not what is expected of him by society.

JK is also a rebel. And he will lash out at figures of authority and do what he wants or thinks even if told to do otherwise.

But make no mistake. JK is a good boy and he will usually do what he is told. And he is still bound by his contract.

Some of these things you mentioned him doing because he does what he wants, you are looking at it all wrong. He's doing them to fight back, putting his foot down in the way that he can. It's a rebellion. Deleting an over 50 million IG account is a rebellion. And what does he have to rebel against, eh? If everything was nice and dandy. If he was doing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted, why did he have to go so openly against the company? And make no mistake. This was a huge Fuck you of his to the company. This wasn't "oh, I don't use IG so I'll just delete it". Because JM wasn't using his until his promotions started either, he didn't post for weeks on end. This was a statement. And after this statement things changed. JK changed. He took more control over the message and his connection with the fandom.

So no. From November 22 until end of February 23 JK wasn't in control and wasn't doing whatever he wanted to. He just wasn't.

Other than that, most of what you write is right.

I don't agree with this one:

Well, he did hug him intensely, but what you are insinuating, or at least, that's what is understood from what you are writing, is that the hug was intense even though he saw JK just a week earlier. Nope. Nah. JM hugged JK very intensely even though he saw him just hours before (they spent the night together drinking - told us so in so many words). That's what it should be saying.

Last post of good-natured silliness regarding Mile and Apo's trips! (the first can be found here and the second here)

Jul 28, Mile posted a pic from the car in Paris in the rain set to Jazz (his and Apo's fave music genre). Then he started posting from flying back to and landing in Bangkok. He was wearing the same cap with a big 'A' on it that he wore during departure on Jul 19, even though weather wise, that cap didn't make sense then and even less so now.

This is kinda similar to Apo, who wore his trinket necklace both when he departed Bangkok on Jul 19 and when he came back on Jul 25. It has two silver circle rings, joined by a heart pendant.

Back on Jul 6, when they went to Song Wat together, I noticed these joined rings and that, because most of the time the heart holds the two together, it makes them look a lot like Mile's double circle silver ring, which he has had for years, way before KPTS.

While Mile's ring is obviously not connected to Apo, I did wonder when Apo started wearing his trinket necklace which includes this pair of joined rings, and whether they might intentionally have been chosen for their similarity to Mile's (once locked together with a heart). I can't actually answer any of these questions, other than to tell you that Apo doesn't seem to have worn these rings before he re-met Mile in Oct 2020. At least I couldn't find any evidence that he did, not on his fingers and not on his necklace (though he did wear other necklaces). The first time I could find him wearing the joined rings on the trinket necklace is a pic Apo shared on Sep 13, 2021:

He's also wearing it in a pic he shared Sep 16, 2021, you can see it a bit better there (especially since on Jan 10, 2022 he posted another pic from the same occasion where the necklace with the rings and heart is even clearer). Also, as far as I can tell, Apo changes the trinkets he wears with the paired rings, but he always wears those. Make of all this what you will...

Mile posted a vid on Facebook from the plane as it approached Bangkok, captioned it with text about saving money to construct, buy and decorate a house, and added this post to his "Happiness during the day" album:

He also pasted the same text about saving money for a house onto a vid of an apartment with a view of NYC, which he shared on his personal IG, and we all know who loves that city and even lived there for 7 months...

After landing, Mile posted on IG pics and vids from the Eiffel Tower in the rain on Jul 27, and he captioned them with "Something is more romantic with rain... #LikeYou ^^". Within 13 minutes, Apo liked the post and commented, "Very romantic."

Mind you, the entire 10 days they've been apart, neither one of them used the word "romantic" in any of their captions. While Mile WAS ACTUALLY IN Paris, at the Eiffel Tower, in the rain, he didn't use the word "romantic," but he did right away after he returned to Thailand.

Apo posted on IG 15 minutes after Mile did, sharing pics from Jul 21 in China, and he captioned them "Sleep no more." Except unlike me, Apo capitalized every first letter of each word, which is what Mile always does with his own captions in English. Mile commented not long after with "Cool."

Another thing to note is the day before, Jul 28, as Mile was flying back to Thailand, Apo posted a pic from China, from Jul 23, where he's doing a half heart, and he captioned it, "Miss you."

Just as a bonus... On the same day, while Mile was flying back to Bangkok, his mom posted multiple pics and vids of herself in a green shirt (Mile's color) and yellow pants (Apo's color).

Wait, bonus #2! Mile also mentioned returning very soon. Pond replied to a photographer that he'll see him in September. The Paris Fashion Week 2023 starts on Sep 25, so we might get some more Mileapo in Paris then.

recounting the jan 6th riot 11/08/24

hello beautiful friends, as someone who is fed up and insanely disappointed about the election results i want us to remember what occurred on january 6th.

when and where? on january 6th 2021:

at around 12PM Donald Trump began to speak to his supporters near the White House.

at 1PM the outer police barrier was broken into.

"We're going to the Capitol," he says. "We're going to try and give them [Republicans] the kind of pride and boldness that they need to take back our country."

3. around 2PM protestors have now broken windows and entered the capital.

4. between 3PM-4PM the protestors are banging on doors, destroying property, and have broken into the chamber.

5. Donald Trump finally addresses his 'fans' in a tweet.

here are statistics regarding the criminal charges and aftermath of the riot and with Trump back in office he stated (not accurate if he will or won't) that he would pardon those who took part in this act.

after celina's "it's 2022" comment in 5.10, i think most of us had a bit of whiplash for "what is the timeline of this show again??"

because i love a good powerpoint timeline and show timeline inconsistencies drive me batty (i've spent way to much time trying to figure out what the grey's anatomy timeline was), i mapped out a timeline based on confirmed dates and time jumps we have in the show.

and surprisingly, the inconsistency in it being 2022 isn't too far off!

In two interviews released this week, Donald Trump made it clear that he will only accept the results of the 2024 election if he wins. And even more alarming, Trump—as he did in 2020 —is beginning the process of radicalizing his supporters to commit another Jan 6 type attack if he loses. Before we get into Trump’s comments, please understand that none of this should come as a surprise. After all, Trump attempted a coup and the incited the deadly Jan 6 attack on our Capitol yet he walks free almost three and a half years later.  When a corrupt person like Trump is not swiftly held accountable for his crimes, he will not change his conduct. In fact, he will be emboldened to engage in that same conduct—if not worse.

That is why for years I was slamming Attorney General Merrick Garland in both articles and on cable news for his failure to promptly charge Trump with crimes. At the very least, Garland should have appointed a Special Counsel to investigate Trump for Jan 6 related crimes as soon as he was sworn in as AG in March 2021.  But instead—as we know from reporting—Garland slow walked the investigation into Trump. Consequently, Trump is the 2024 GOP presidential nominee and if he wins in November, he will escape accountability for his federal crimes.

That bring us to Trump’s recent interviews where he is copying his 2020 playbook to both delegitimize the election results if he loses and prepare his supporters for violence on his behalf. On Wednesday, in an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel while in Wisconsin for a rally, Trump was asked if he would accept the results of the 2024 election. As the Journal Sentinel noted, Trump “did not commit to accepting the results of the 2024 election.” Rather, he stated, “If everything's honest, I'll gladly accept the results.”  But Trump then added ominously, “If it's not, you have to fight for the right of the country." Trump saying his supporters have to “fight” if he loses instantly conjures up what he said after the 2020 election to radicalize his supporters to ultimately wage the Jan 6 terrorist attack. In fact, at the rally on Jan 6 before the attack, the crowd’s war cry was, “Fight for Trump!” And Trump bellowed the word “fight” or “fighting” to that riled up MAGA crowd 20 times before they waged the actual attack.

Trump made these same points in his series of Time interviews released this week.  When asked about the potential of political violence, Trump should have made it clear given Jan 6, he rejects it and calls on his supporters to do the same. In fact, he should have mimicked the words of President Biden in 2022 on this very issue: “I want to say this plain and simple: There is no place for political violence in America.  Period.  None.  Ever.” Trump didn’t. Instead, when Trump was first asked by the reporter: “Are you worried about political violence in connection with this November's election?” Trump responded, “I think we're gonna have a big victory. And I think there will be no violence.”

The reporter then pressed Trump in a follow up interview on the point: “On our last conversation you said you weren't worried about political violence in connection with the November election. You said, “I think we're going to win and there won't be violence.” What if you don't win, sir?” To that Trump said, “I do think we're gonna win. We're way ahead. I don't think they'll be able to do the things that they did the last time, which were horrible.”  But alarmingly he then added, “And if we don't win, you know, it depends. It always depends on the fairness of an election.”

[...] If there had not been a Jan 6 attack, we could dismiss Trump’s words as being nothing more than overheated campaign rhetoric. But we can’t.  As the  Jan 6 House committee’s final report put it: “The central cause of January 6th was one man, former President Donald Trump, whom many others followed. None of the events of January 6th would have happened without him.” 

In recent interviews with both Time and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Donald Trump ominously hinted at a repeat of what happened during 2020 elections aftermath if he doesn't win: more election denial and violence incitement.

There is so much about the 2024 election that sets new records for absurdity. Topping all lists has to be the fact that the man who still refuses to accept the 2020 election result, who schemed to overturn those legitimate results, who incited a seditious assault on the government he was head of as president, whose mismanagement of a pandemic led to the avoidable deaths of perhaps a million Americans, is accepted by millions as a candidate for president who has a good chance of winning.

Trump is in a unique position for a non-incumbent presidential candidate. He has a record as 45th president. To win, he needs to shape how millions of voters remember those four years.

On Earth II, where the grass is blue and the sky is green, Americans are afraid to go out to buy a loaf of bread without getting shot, mugged or raped by immigrants. Immigrants in a small Ohio town eat their neighbors’ cats and dogs. Economic collapse of a failing economy, and World War III will happen next year if his opponent is elected. And children go to school only to return days later having been given gender reassignment surgery at the school.

Further, on Earth II the seditious insurrectionists who attacked the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021 were peaceful protesters. Unlucky boaters forced to buy electric boats powered by heavy bateries are faced with the choice of electrocution or a shark attack when the boat begins to sink due to the heavy batteries.

Trump traffics in lies and misinformation, promoting an alternate reality he creates to convince voters that they are faced with a politically devastating landscape created by his political opponents, that only he can protect them from.

His Greatest Hits now include racist lies about Haitian immigrants who eat the family pets of innocent (white) Americans, “The late great Hannibal Lecter” wants to eat his listeners, and he has been praised by Viktor Orban, “a very strong, strong guy. And when he asked his audience in Pennsylvania last Monday,“Do you think Springfield will ever be the same? - I don’t think so. The fact is, and I’ll say it now: You have to get them the hell out.”

The inbred MAGAts responsed by chanting “Send them back!” 74 million of our fellow Americans can’t tie their shoelaces without adult supervision.

Democratic strategist Kurt Bardella described the Fat Elvis Greatest Hits tour, saying“It’s a logical continuation of what once was called ‘alternative facts’ by the same camp. It’s obvious that is a long-term mission statement, more than just an offhand comment. Their entire strategy is to say anything, make up anything, invent false narratives to try and distract away from the very real consequences of their radical and extreme agenda that is so far out of the mainstream of the American people’s interests. They think they have a better chance of winning by making up insane stories about people eating pets versus having a subsequent conversation about the consequences of their policy agenda.”

On Thursday, CNN’s fact-checkers presented a list of “12 completely fictional stories” that Trump has told in the last month. They included Kamala Harris reintroducing the military draft, and Harris negotiating in 2022 with Vladimir Putin to prevent the invasion of Ukraine.

There is one lie we need to pay attention to:

“We don’t need the votes,” Donald recently told Fox News. “I have so many votes.”

We should be suspicious of a man who tells people he doesn’t need any more votes. What rational candidate has his aides tell the press that he’s not actively campaigning because he prefers to play golf?

This is the guy who cheats at golf and has been convicted of cheating in all his businesses.

From his lies that Democrats are trying to steal the election, to the false claims the election is being rigged against him, his efforts to undermine voters’ faith in free and fair elections is out in the open.

The most egregious example of the planned coup is coming out of Georgia, where a MAGA majority on the state elections board voted 3-2 to require the hand-counting of ballots. This will cause chaos, which is exactly what the Trump campaign is counting on.

Both the state’s Republican Secretary of State and Republican Attorney General said the changes are probably illegal.

The recent attempt in Nebraska to get the state legislature to change the way electoral college votes are awarded was stopped by Nebraska state Senator Mike McDonnell, one of the few holdouts against Donald’s pressure campaign, announced that he won’t support a change in how electoral votes in Nebraska are awarded.

“Elections should be an opportunity for all voters to be heard, no matter who they are, where they live or what party they support,” McDonnell said. “I have taken time to listen carefully to Nebraskans and national leaders on both sides of the issue. After deep consideration, it is clear to me that right now, 43 days from Election Day, is not the moment to make this change.”

At a rally on Monday, Trump again threatened to prosecute anyone who “cheats” in the 2024 election. Of course, that threat is intended to dissuade honest people from becoming involved in the election process.

Michael Steele, a former chair of the Republican National Committee, said: “There’s nothing worse than a desperate man. There’s nothing worse than a desperate racist man who cannot control the woman in front of him who happens to be African American. Cannot control the conditions around him that have changed – the tightening of the political race for the presidency. Cannot control what people are saying about him, the fact that Republicans are now coming out and speaking against a second Trump term and are creating lanes in which we are willing to support the Democrat over Donald Trump because he is that bad and that dangerous. When he cannot control that, he becomes even more dangerous and more desperate and you need to be aware of that because there’s more of this coming between now and November.”

Yesterday, September 26, Trump did another public meltdown when he called a press conference (where he actually took questions) in Trump Tower.

It could be politely called “the view from Earth II.”

According to Trump, the economy - which reported a second quarter (April 1- June 30) growth rate of 3.1 percent, with the stock market and he S&P 500 setting record highs again this week - has all-time high unemployment with inflation at its highest point and the stock market ready to crash. On Thursday morning, The filing is clearly on Trump’s mind. He posted on Un-Truth Anti-Social that “Deep State subversives” ignored his orders to prevent unrest on January 6, 2021; at his press conference, he again played an old Greatest Hit, claiming that Nancy Pelosi was responsible for the seditious attack on the U.S. Capitol.

With 39 days left until the election, with his summer leads against Biden erased by Kamala Harris, with some sort of imprisonment for the rest of his life the likely result of his losing the election, Trump is reverting more and more to his Greatest Hits.

The problem is that even the audience at the casino/unlicensed brothel in Elko Nevada, where Fat Elvis impersonator Trump appears on Tuesday nights, doesn’t want to hear his schtick any more. A third of his audience walked out of the Monday and Thursday night hatealongs.
