I wonder if Tangle & Whisper mini 1 will be available early at SDCC this year like issue 7 last year? Evan mentioned making a variant cover for it that hasn't been shown yet, SDCC isn't too long before the comic shop date for the issue, and I can easily imagine the mini being hype worthy enough to promote at SDCC,

I don’t really know much about San Diego CominCon so maybe? Maybe not? IDK. Would be cool but I’m patient.

So this weekend was the local comincon for my town. I wasn’t able to go cause school sucks and tbh I didn’t have time to think about it. BUT! Next year I think I’m going to go. And maybe.... I might try cosplaying as Lup? I’m not sure though, I don’t feel totally confident that I will do her justice, or if I can put together a decent enough cosplay. We’ll see next year I guess....

I'm imagining Clarke at one of her panels and some asks about Lexa and she's just like "she left me to go to her third Star Wars panel of the day, can you believe that?" And that's how everyone finds out lexa's a huge nerd

Hahaha yes amazing! I love that. Also the Media interviewing her at comicon and being like "How does your wife like comincon? Is she around?" Clarke just laughs and is like "My wife likes comicon more than she likes me. She's most definitely around. I'm sure you could find her at whatever Star Wars panel is happening right now. Probably getting into a heated argument about what is and isn't canon."

Arena COLOSSEI.

Durante l'ultimo COMICON ho avuto il piacere di provare un prototipo, una vera e propria rarità, che ha trasformato il tavolo in una polverosa arena e tutti quelli seduti attorno al tavolo in gladiatori. Il gioco di cui vi sto parlando è Arena Colossei.

Attorno al tavolo, giocando a #ArenaColossei, tutto quello che volevamo era la gloria, il favore dell'Imperatore ed il SANGUE dei nostri avversari. Scesi in campo,i 4 gladiatori si sono per prima cosa studiati, ognuno voleva far valere i propri punti di forza e scoprire le caratteristiche degli avversari. Se da subito IlVanaglorioso ha scelto di attaccare a testa bassa, cercando di entrare nelle difese avversarie ed il suo Attendente gli guardava le spalle, gli avversari si mostravano dei pusillanimi ANZI iPusillanimi, cercando di sfuggire alla furia de ilVanaglorioso.

L'arena si è riempita di urla incitando i guerrieri allo scontro, fino a che finalmente ilVanaglorioso è riuscito ad ingaggiare il primo de iPusillanimi: Gli attacchi e le parate si susseguivano come un balletto fatto di furia e tattica: ad ogni attacco basso, per entrare nell'armatura nemica, si contrapponeva una parata ed un'altra carica... sino a quando un attimo di disattenzione ha dato il primo sangue a ilVanaglorioso, iPusillanime scosso da quei colpi ha indietreggiato cercando conforto nell'aiuto del suo compagno... che però subiva a sua volta gli attacchi dell'Attendente. Un turbine di colpi che sono culminati con l'Imperatore ed la folla che inneggiava a ilVanaglorioso e lAttendente. Una vittoria che li ha portati tra gli dei dell'arena!

Al di la dello stupido racconto di quella partita al Comincon, il gioco è una vera e propria simulazione delle battaglie che abbiamo amato vedere nei film e nelle serie televisive (da lo Spartacus di Kubrick a quello televisivo passando per il Gladiatore), una battaglia di nervi in cui bisognerà anticipare le mosse degli avversari per poter portare a casa la vittoria e la pelle.

Oggi parte su Kickstarter il crowdfunding di Arena Colossei, un gioco che mi ha sorpreso e conquistato, sia dal punto di vista della componentistica (ma avete visto che bomba le miniature di Alan D'Amico) sia dal punto di vista del gamedesign.

Arena Colossei rappresenta perfettamente il tipo di prodotto da supportare su Kickstarter!
