Louie Duck, Gosalyn Mallard and Max Goof in Basketball 3X3 - Goof Troop, Goofy Movie, Darkwing Duck and Quack Pack- Quack Pack AU - Sports - Duckverse - My version
I drew this on July 7th. Summer has started, on June 21 to be precise, and it's certainly time for sports, and this year the Olympic Games are coming and it's time for games and sports. I started with basketball, more precisely with basketball 3x3, where it is played in three players as one team and I drew my favorite characters that would surely play as good basketball players as one team. Louie Duck, Gosalyn Mallard and Max Goof as teenagers are great at basketball and seemed like a team in my version and that's why I drew them. Yeah, I haven't drawn Max Goof in a long time so I drew him combining from Goof Troop and a Goofy Movie and where he's pretty tall and the same age as Louie Duck and Gosalyn I drew in my Quack Pack version. My only apology is that it turned out a little bad, I was in a hurry. And that I drew them all together to have blue eyes, even though I know Gosalyn has green eyes. I did it for my own reasons. I hope you like it.
Feel free to like and reblog this, just don't use these same ideas of mine without mentioning me. Thank you!

Tims “main event” timeline is actually so wild bc he became Robin through bc of his hyper-fixation when he was 14. His mom died, his dad almost died. Jack Drake went into a coma. He trained for 6 months in Paris. Something about lady shiva? He runs away from home once a week. Something, something Darla, he runs away from home again. He’s in boarding school. His roommate has a drinking problem. His dad has been dating his physical therapist. married his physical therapist. lost the family fortune forcing Tim to drop out of boarding school and move into an apartment downtown and go to public school. He meets Bernard. His dad learns he’s Robin. Tim quits being Robin. Stephanie becomes Robin for a bit? Tim goes back to being Robin. His dad is murdered by captain boomerang. Stephanie died? Jason comes back to life? There’s a school shooting and his public school is closed. He goes to a different high school. Bruce tried to adopt him and he invents a fake uncle. Stephanie is alive. Jason playfully tries to kill him/commit acts of psychological warfare? Damian shows up. He’s no longer Robin. Bruce goes missing in time/dead? Jason tried to kill him again? Red Robin era. He dropped out of high school. Bruce is alive, Tim was right. Oh Tim just realized he’s bisexual and he has to save his crush from the pain cult. They’re boyfriends now. He lives on a boat. He’s 18/19
All the while he was in teen titans and young justice. His best friend died. He did cloning experiments? He watched Santa die?? He traveled the multiverse several times? Stephanie was pregnant at some point? He dated so many girls? His future self is evil and loves to psychologically torment his present day self? He’s gunbatman?????? He was trapped in a 3x3 cell for months and everyone assumed he died and moved on??? His boyfriend is in a cult???
When did you have the time Tim? When?
I know this timeline isn’t 100% accurate but it is the history of at least 3 comic runs told from memory

Hello Charlie Bone Tumblr! (And everyone else who wants to participate!) Welcome to my silly little first event <3
The Bad Shipping Fic Bingo!
What is a fic bingo?, you may ask. Well, you will receive a bingo card. Instead of numbers, there will be prompts or ships. Your goal is to include as many of these as possible in any fanfictions you write, mark them off and maybe even get a bingo!
There is no limit to how many fics you can write, or how many prompts should appear in each fic. Don't take it too seriously! You don't need to include anything you don't want to, and are free to mark background ships as written or write a very liber interpretation of a trope. Whatever fits you best!
Now, here's the catch: this isn't just a Fic Bingo, it's a BAD Fic Bingo. Many of these prompts are especially suited for low-effort writing and bad interpretations of characters and ships. I'm including a field that will feature randomly generated shippings. This doesn't mean whatever you write has to be bad. It's just a fun thing we came up with and a way to ensure no one feels pressured to write well! Every Fandom needs some beloved bad works, no?
How do I participate?
Just ask in the notes or contact me on Discord! I will reply with a bingo card for you!
You can ask me for a specific size (3x3, 4x4, 5x5 with a free space...), for me to exclude (specific) ships or include "mature prompts" (bad smut and unrealistic depictions of oregnancy/substance use. you're not really missing out on much)
You can also participate without a card! I'm definitely not going to stop you, anyways ;)
Don't (want to) write Fanfiction? Feel free to do a comic, a bullet list, or whatever form of art you prefer! Bloor's isn't limited to one type, either ;)
If you're going to post to ao3, you can add your fics to this collection. If you post to ao3, @ me and I'll reblog them on here :D

You can beg to carry your own weight and still be judged a burden.
[ Text taken from Wikipedia articles for Changelings, Disability Rights Movement, Biological Immortality, Pearl, and, of course, King Lindworm Image ID and transcript in alt text, and copied below the break ]
🟢 Image 1:
A comic illustration of nine panels in a 3x3 grid. The middle column is a series of family portraits over time. In the left column, the lindworm is shown sleeping as an infant, child, and adult. In the right column's first two panels, the lindworm's human brother is shown sleeping as an infant and child, mirroring the lindworm, but the last panel has been filled by the lindworm's tail as though it has overgrown it's own panel. The lindworm is absent from the last portrait, but the human brother remains.
Text reads:
A peasant family's subsistence frequently depended upon the productive labour of each member, and it was difficult to provide for a person who was a permanent drain on the family's scarce resources.
"The fact that the changelings' ravenous appetite is so frequently mentioned indicates that the parents of these unfortunate children saw in their continuing existence a threat to the sustenance of the entire family."
🟡 Image 2:
A comic illustration of a panel that blends the lindworm's eye into the tower of a castle, which is looming over a town street hung with banners. Against a red sky, a knight mounted on a horse in the foreground stares down a lindworm puppet being moved by many men that blocks the road. The puppet is posed to be hissing at the knight, who has a sword drawn.
Text reads:
It is thought that natural pearls form under a set of accidental conditions when a microscopic intruder or parasite enters a bivalve mollusk and settles inside the shell. The mollusk, irritated by the intruder, forms a pearl sac of external mantle tissue cells and secretes the calcium carbonate and conchiolin to cover the irritant.
Other barriers include: internalised barriers (low expectations of people with disabilities can undermine their confidence and aspirations),
inadequate data and statistics, lack of participation and consultation of disabled people.
🔴 Image 3:
A comic illustration of a knight slaying a lindworm puppet, the knight's horse rearing up as their sword swings up towards the sky. Torn pieces of the puppet follow the movement.
Text reads:
The lindworm tells her to take off her dress, but she insists he shed a skin for each dress she removes.
Eventually, the lobster will die from exhaustion during a moult.
Eventually his human form is revealed beneath the last skin.

How did you learn to do comic formatting? Did you follow a tutorial? Or are you more self-taught. Do you use comic book page templates or no?
UHH haha
Self taught. I have no formal art schooling. I like to read a lot of manga and enjoy when the pages are like pictures in their own right, and the panels help draw the readers' eye. I like to make them part of the story, too.
I draw everything in Procreate on my iPad, so the base is eyeballed from page to page. If I need a page that isn't the standard 3x3 blocks of stuff happening, I draw the art and characters without any panels, then draw the panels after everyone is in place for those wacky, dynamic panels.
Onyx did cut right through one of the panels in episode 3, too. Utterly destroyed them, and then weird stuff started happening to the format. All depends on how Onyx is feeling, I guess.

gardenGnostic alien theory [not clickbait]
(page 696-706)
9/25, 9/26, 9/27/2009 Wheel Spins: Parent Bad :(, Captchalogue Lore, Dramatic Irony Verdict: ❌ NO LONGER RELEVANT ❌
Gonna say something controversial but true: Can Town needs more cans. WV keeps introducing non-can elements, such as ‘roads’ and ‘trees’ and ‘splodgy chessboard’ and it’s just not very can-focused anymore. It is still the most adorably charming way to deliver a major lore dump that I have ever seen, and so deeply cryptic.
WV visually talks us through the cosmology of Sburb in a very similar way to Nannasprite a few hundred pages ago. Of course, WV was listening to Nannasprite’s exposition, so could be recreating what they’ve heard – but it seems like they have extra information, too. This Nannasprite lore is the part of the comic I most often go back to and reread so I guess grandmotherly wisdom is real.
NANNASPRITE: One [orb] goes down, to a kingdom entrenched in darkness. The other, up, to a kingdom basking in light! (p.424)
These kingdoms basking in light and darkness are definitely the ‘luminous planet’ (p.702) and ‘ominous planet’ (p.704) WV draws, although Nannasprite doesn’t mention any moons, and WV is certain of these. The ominous planet is ‘beyond an impenetrable veil of darkness’, which is what John sees when he gazes into the abyss below his house. Presumably the luminous planet is something he will reach on his way to Skaia if he begins to build up through the gates – since the forces of light are charged with Skaia’s protection.
NANNASPRITE: [The Medium] is where we are now! A realm that is a ring of pure void, dividing light and darkness. (p.421)
The four planets without satellites WV draws (p.703) are part of the Medium – more specifically, I think that small parts of these planets have been transported to the Medium. The lower left planet looks like Earth being hit by a giant meteor, so, could the other three be planets that have been destroyed by Skaian technology in different ways? The red planet (Mars?) has been enveloped by a large gray dust storm while the colorful planet and the black planet (Venus and Mercury?) both have strange clouds in orbit. If the Incipisphere is a realm that’s not part of Earth or its flow of time, it makes sense that other planets would be affected by it too, and that other planets with intelligent life might try to draw on Skaia’s power if they discovered it. Four planets, and four screens on WV’s monitor.
I think Rose and Dave are definitely from the same Earth as John but I could totally believe that GG is from a different planet. Rose’s ‘So, shall I expect a green package dropped to my house via airmail from whatever screwball cranny of the globe you're tucked into?’ becomes a great line if GG is not from this globe at all. So, maybe WV figuring out how to view other screens on the monitor is our lead-in to actually meeting GG and discovering what’s up with her.
NANNASPRITE: The Four Spires are situated above a throne, and these two thrones preside over the two respective Sovereign Powers! (p.424)
These Sovereign Powers must be the kings that WV detests so much. On this same page, the animation shows a chessboard – first a 3x3 with just the white and black kings, but as the orbs reach the spires of the light and dark kingdoms, the chessboard becomes a 12x12 (bigger than a standard chessboard) with a whole bunch of extra pieces, which roughly – but not perfectly – correspond to the pieces on an actual chessboard. This is the ‘stage’ that the forces of light and darkness duel on, and is clearly a place WV has either spent time in or spent time watching, because the chessboard is ‘the only logical pattern that occurs to [them]’ (p.697). So WV was in combat? Or possibly had someone close to them who was in combat, since they don’t seem designed for violence, and were forced to lose that person to this war?
NANNASPRITE: This is a war that the forces of light are always destined to lose, without exception! (p.424)
This line hits a little different after meeting WV. They would have won the war. Their side was fated to succeed, but something was important enough to them that they betrayed their king and their planet and voluntarily resigned themself to wandering in rags? I really think they have a more complicated history than we’re let in on right now. There’s a trope I’ve seen in books and movies where a child who has been through something traumatic doesn’t talk about it, but a teacher or carer figures it out through art the kid has drawn. I don’t know how based in reality this trope is, but I’m thinking about it in the way the ‘ominous planet’ is hidden behind pipes and coils of rope and massive messy smears of motor oil, compared to the lovingly crafted clouds of the rest of the scene.
Also, my can research paid off, because I am 99.9% sure that the mayonnaise (the only food from WV’s stash not found canned in real life) was put there so that they could make the ‘MAYOR’ sash. Planted because the (likely reader-submitted) commands ‘Clear out all the cans inside the purple machine’ (p.681) and ‘Become the mayor of Can Town’ (p.685) fit so well together. I kinda love the thought of three people’s brains in different places momentarily being on the exact same wavelength and creating this cute moment.

actually so crazy that only when arranging the comic all in one image in a straight line did I realize that it could be split from a 5x3, 4x3 and 3x3 to four 3x3 images . Quite Laytonesque

today's 45 minute work warmup was this pleasant architecture photo from gord.cook on instagram. it was nice working off something besides a fisheye landscape from mapcrunch. missed a few spots that needed that darker floor colors on it, but im ok w/ where we stopped here. with more time i think i would just start painting over everything, polishing out the lines, and gettin all the texture in. all the fun time-intensive stuff
i actually enjoyed working on this one a lot more than the previous ones, maybe its because i incorporated more "tools and techniques"? discussion about that and a timelapse video under the cut:
i started using a thirds grid "out of laziness" recently but honestly? i think i dig it a lot. the grids i used on many of the previous environment studies were really dense (csp has a max grid size of 1000 pixels... wtf) and i think that mightve actually made it harder to place things in the space. i definitely get much less distracted with the comparatively looser rule-of-thirds grid, and i dont get too stressed out/obsessed about placing everything EXACTLY correct (this was a huge problem and i couldnt figure out how to stop). things actually end up matching pretty close to the source photo in the end, anyway, so its a win-win kind of result
oh yeah, unfortunately CSP doesn't have a percentage setting for the grid like photoshop does (it really really bothers me because i used that a lot, idk, maybe i should send in a feature request or something). i looked into this a while back and found the best you can do to get a 33.33% division grid is to set up an auto-action that'll generate a 3x3 comic page panel layout with no gutters on your canvas. its not dynamic so youd have to reapply it if you crop your canvas differently, and its a layer so you have to deal with that, but hey! better than nothing. and it works pretty dang well despite that.
to get all those straight lines i maxed out post correction on my brush, which reduces every brush stroke to a flat line that goes from the start of the stroke to the end. i think it feels cozier than using a line tool or the shift line-snap thing, because you get a liiiiittle bit of pen pressure out of it. plus, removes the temptation to hold shift and snap it 90 degrees. those funky little off-kilter angles add character, or whatever. this was one of those things that i knew you could do but i never actually used it-- now that i have, i understand its utility. i'll definitely be using it anytime i need to draw a lot of hard surfaces now

fight / flight part 2 thumbnails and page sketches (plus some notes related to part 1 QA)
[image set: 1) Scan of a two page spread. Left page is a 3x3 grid of rough sketchy thumbnails in various stages of completion; some pages are blank. Right page is two lists of crossed out notes titled "North Bound Fight Flight Part 1 Notes for Final pg Tweaks" and "Fight / Flight Pt 2 Fixes", with a drawing of Hokushin with both hands on his neck in the bottom corner. 2) Two page spread of larger thumbnails, four on each page, closely aligned with the actual page compositions of fight / flight part 2.]
Here are fight / flight part 2 thumbnails and panel sketches!! And discussion of changes as I worked through the pages!
Spoilers for the progress of part 2.
Part 2 clocked in at 7 pages, matching my final thumbnails. This work took, again, about 3 days. I was super fired up after wrapping up part 1 and brained through thumbnails past midnight. There were four main things I wanted to accomplish with this fight:
Must take advantage of Hokushin’s stretchy abilities. I really wanted to work some cool ribbon action sequences into the battle, and got a bit of that in here! I always try really hard to showcase his power in as many fics and comics as I can, and not ignore or downplay them. There’s a really classic sensibility to his ability for me (from growing up with supernatural youkai stories; East Asian horror, etc.), and I feel it’s an essential part of his character.
Gain more experience choreographing fight scenes in general. Just getting through this was a miracle to me. The left hand page in the first photo above shows my 7+ failed thumbnails to get the first 1.5 pages down to my satisfaction; they are mostly me trying to panel out the first page over and over and not feeling great about it until I had a breakthrough (see following set of bullet points "Some of the things I learned").
Practice more effective compression of time and action. Related to the above. I’ve long admired how good Togashi is at doing this in his paneling, and I reread several of Togashi’s very tight battles, including of course Hokushin VS Yusuke, to try to get a better sense of how to work out the pacing and focus on what's essential. I tried really really hard to keep every page to 3-4 rows of panels, and to try to use some of the mini-stacked panels that I typically avoid (you can see them on pages 9, 10, 14 and 15). I personally find mini stacks work better in Japanese and Chinese due to the option of vertical right-to-left flow of reading order. In a language like English, which is left to right horizontal, I feel it’s a lot more challenging to structure without having areas where the panel flow can become unclear and create tiny moments of paused confusion.
Story-wise, have Hokushin learn what happened to Semimaru, and then get super pissed off as per the tradition of every shounen manga. You will find out his reaction in part 3 whenever I decide what it is. I’d like to try my best to balance tropes/stereotypes, though some things feel unavoidable. They do both need to stay alive at the end of the encounter in order to be canon-compliant, so Hokushin will not be able to enact the stereotypical ultimate revenge.
Some of the things I learned, mostly about myself and how I work through fight scenes.
Unlike most comic sequences, I can’t seem to get away with just scripting a fight scene in text. I find this nearly impossible! I have to tag team between thumbnails and point form notes or I can’t progress without a solid visual sense of panelling.
I need to draw action thumbnails twice as large as normal thumbnails in order to work out more details. This was hilariously part one of the breakthrough for me to actually be able to move forward things more effectively.
Originally I was envisioning this fight as a largely sword-based duel, also featuring Hokushin’s neck, because I was so focused on the time period of the setting. While looking at references and inspirations, I was also reminded that Yu Yu Hakusho is mostly people punching and blasting each other in very cool ways, and there are actually very few sword-based duels. (There are characters with swords, but they rarely fight each other, and they rarely fight with swords the way you would see in a “duel” - it’s more individual attacks, and flashy energy-blast-based type moves.) This at least reminded that I don’t need to stick to “normal” fight considerations since neither of these characters are human, my second hilarious(ly obvious) breakthrough. I then happily whatevered my way through the fight sequence actions, hopefully they made some kind of sense.
All page sketches!
These page sketches all have the final text and text positions because I didn't save a version with the first pass of the text. They're on separate layers so I can adjust them independently; hence why on the sketch layer sometimes the bubbles don't line up with the placement of the text (because in the final drawing layer they are moved elsewhere).
[Image set showing the rough sketch stage for all 7 pages in part 2 of fight / flight.]
The main changes.
While reviewing Otake’s appearance in the manga to make sure my depictions felt as true to canon as possible, I decided to make a change to a number of the panels. For some reason I had an impression of Otake giving a very darkly shaded evil grin at one point in the manga… but upon double-checking he’s actually extremely pokerfaced, though he tends to grit his teeth when he’s being intense.
I checked Cicada Cry and I was pretty consistent there. Thus, I went back and removed all the panels or downplayed any part where Otake could be interpreted as starting to sneer evilly. My interpretation of this character is that he really does think of himself as above the banal concerns of humans, and of his actions as being in the right through his role as a servant of the Spirit World. Which is what makes him a disturbing antagonist/terrorist. So keeping his facial expression more serious/bland felt truer to his character.
That said, he’s many centuries younger here, so he could be more cocky… with that in mind I kept his expression a little "midway" on page 15 when he’s revealing to Hokushin what happened to Semimaru. This is to give a vague sense of some kind of ambiguity or imbalance going on, that maybe his attitude about killing Semimaru wasn’t merely doing his job. That said, you can still see I really pulled back on the expression compared to the sketch.
Unfortunately, by the time I did my review, page 9 had some over the top evilness already inked up, so I had to rework this. I was like ugh now I have to come up other things to fill the panels without it feeling out of place or dragging on because I don’t want to recompose and redraw everything. The last panel in page 9 (Otake grabbing his wrist/the bracer) replaced the evil grin panel. The glow around the bracer from the top of page 10 became the last panel on page 9. This actually improved the pacing on page 9 in my opinion (though I lost a lot of the nice blobby forest shadows behind Otake…), but then page 10 now felt way too dragged out.
I didn’t want to add MORE panels on page 10, so I ended up just increasing the height of everything vertically and filling in all the missing parts, sigh. hahah
I dropped some speech and thought bubbles where characters were basically just repeating things that were self-evident (I hope) through the action. If any actions are unclear it might be because of this decision, hahah.
I am really proud of pages 11 and 12. Upon review, page 11 is probably a little too busy art wise, but I still like how Hokushin turned out in panel four (the “ugh” panel) and also RIBBON ACTIONNNNNNNNnn
Page 13 is inspired by one of my fave webcomics, Sombulus!! where @delphina2k used a vertical two column sequence of tandem events and I thought it was so clever and effective! You can see examples here and here! I don't know that my attempt was that effective - I think it loses some steam at the end - but it was a good exercise and experiment to go through and help me figure out what might work better in the future. (I think the weakest parts are Otake getting slammed around the transition from Hokushin pulling out the shards to sliding down the tree.)
Here are the silhouettes I lost in the page 9-10 reconfiguring! Yeah, I know, the background is basically blobby blobs, but I liked how it looked 3:
QA
One last note: in the first image at the very top of the post, the right-hand image with the two lists is me doing my final check on the pages. I'm pretty much ploughing through this before the holidays are over, and I'm employing a rough "good enough" approach to these pages. So as a last QA, after I save all the finished pages, I take a break (half a day, a day etc.). Then I come back and review the pages again, going through them one at a time and jotting down notes of things bothering me that I want to fix. After I finish making the list, I then methodically open the file and go through each item and fix it on each page. The edits vary in complexity from things like forgetting to shade a certain part of the panel, to cleaning up stray lines, to full on redrawing sections or adding in missing scenes. Sometimes I'll make a note and then decide later it's not important and ignore it.

I am collecting like-named individuals of fiction for the purpose of a funny little list (numbered but not in any order). So far, I have found the following characters enjoyable enough for one reason or another to include:
1. Nash from Lawbreakers
Look at this little robot! He’s got a big shotgun I can’t find any good pictures of that fires in a 3x3 grid. He’s basically just Chappie but reprogrammed by an action movie line lover instead of Ninja and Yo-Landi (honestly that gives him less personality). I love him. He’s trans(humanist)ition goals.
2. Charlie Nash
I don’t like Guile. I don’t like how Nash plays. But I like his look, so I like him. He’s not even really called Nash, but hell, I still like him.
3. Nash Bridges
The man, the myth, the unfortunately a cop from a 90’s police procedural, Nash Bridges drives a car I don’t personally care for, but I owe him the name, so oh well. Nashman is pretty cool I will admit.
4. Walter Nash (Valkriya Chronicles)
I love him. I love him. He wants to open a bakery. He’s an optimistic nihilist. He carries a big anti-tank bazooka. He has a charming accent. I love Walter.
5. Nash (Starman)
I know very little about her because I have never cared for Starman, but she can turn into mist and she’s got a cool little haircut / goggles combo, so yeah. Also she’s canonically dead, so I can adopt her.
6. Brother Nash
I’m in the process of trying to acquire these comics so I can read them, but he’s a werewolf! I love werewolves. Plus, from what I’ve seen, his personality is fun. And he’s a trucker. Love a good and simple character who isn’t.
7. Nash Latkje (Suikoden)
Look at that scarf! Look at the stance! Look at his smile! Love him. I can barely find anything about him, but the sparse gameplay videos I’ve seen of him make him out to be pretty fun. If anyone could explain more about him, I’d appreciate it.
8. Nashi (Magic: the Gathering)
I don’t know where in the story he went from a teen or young adult to a little kid, but I’m just gonna kind of ignore that and focus on the art. Name’s a slight stretch, but I love my rat-boy-on-his-third-mom and all the weird shit he tinkers up.
9. Nash (Yu-Gi-Oh)
Have I ever really been into Yu-Gi-Oh? No. Have I watched any of the shows? I watched some scenes of Nash and that one episode with Pegasus, but otherwise no. Do I still love how he looks as well as the Yu-Gi-Oh duelist look in general? Obviously! Look at how cool he looks! Wish he didn’t use sea creatures, but beggars can’t be choosers when the presented option is this good.
———
That’s all I have right now, but I’m keeping an eye out for more.
