Cryptid of the Day: Lindworm

Description: The Lindworm is a type of dragon found in many European cultures during the medieval period, but in 19th-century Sweden, reports of massive, limbless lizards were recorded by folklorist Gunnar Olof Hylten-Cavallius. He gathered 50 reports of the monster and even offered a cash reward for one in 1884. Sightings of the Lindworm ceased in the 20th century.
