#this is interesting because you can either look at it as whether the green knight/lord bertilak and gawain had something gay going on#or if the green knight is purely a manifestation of morgan le fay then that's also very queer#because morgan (and especially her obsession with guinevere in this) represents this transgressive queerness#if the freedom of nature and paganism is in opposition to the rigid social expectations of camelot and christianity- then the green#knight is literally an embodiment of queerness#idk.
