Alfie at Comic Con France

My meeting with Alfie was amazing! He immediately recognized me and went like "oh, it's been a while". He immediately started talking about my book. How he still has it and looks into it every now and then. He said that other people have even brought it up to him.

I asked him about the documentary that i did 5 years ago but he didn't remember. Which i suspected, it was a super hectic convention and i don't think he even heard me when i explained the docu to him and gave him the stick. He also said to me that he doesn't even have a laptop lol. I sent him the link from my YouTube channel through Insta and he said he's gonna watch it and let me know what he thinks.

I asked him to sign my leg by my Theon tat so i can have it tattood there as well. He agreed immediately and i filmed the whole thing. Will be making a little edit with it which i will share on here as well when it's done :).

We also did some reminiscing about how it's been 10 years since i gave him the first copy of my book!

All in all it was lovely seeing him again. I would have loved to do some more chatting with him but he looked quite tired so i didn't wanna keep him occupied for too long.

I hope i'll be able to see him again sometime soon.

Sidenote: during the panel someone asked the actors who their fav characters are and Finn Jones said Theon. While i was first waiting for Alfie, Finn was sitting there and no one was in line so i had a little chat with him about how complex of a character Theon is.

Now i'm on my way back to good old Belgium

Fun fact for all my Death Note musical fan gals and guys and non-binary pals

Ashley Loren had no connection to the Death Note musical until Comic Con, which she inexplicably was chosen to moderate and to sing one of Rem's songs for the Death Note panel.

However, up until earlier this year she was in Moulin Rouge! on Broadway, an adaption of the movie, and she was playing the lead lady, Satine. The owner of the Moulin Rouge!, Harold Zidler, was, at that time, played by Eric Anderson - who's Ryuk in the original English demo.

This also isn't the only time we've had actors from different productions together in a different show.

In early 2022, Jeremy Jordan traveled to London to perform in a concert version of Bonnie and Clyde as Clyde, a role he originated on Broadway, and a show also written by Frank Wildhorn. His Bonnie was Frances Mayli McCann. At this point, his role as Light on the demo was years behind him, and Francis originating the role of Misa on the West End was more than a year in the future, but they still went down together.
