ANNA MARIE DARKHÖLME / ROGUE

'Hey, hey now sugah, let's calm down, you don't want to go in time out and I don't want to send ya. Explain to me why you don't like the food, I'm perfectly alright gettin' you somethin' different, there ain't no need to get upset.'

Anna can sometimes tell when you're about to have a tantrum or become more fussy than usual, even if you tend to take a while to throw a full fit, she'll watch you carefully and try to prevent one from fully forming. Gently kissing you on the forehead and brushing back your hair, asking what's wrong with a worried look on her face.

The moment you start yelling, kicking, or even crying, maybe after ignoring her question, she finds it hard not to just fold and give you what you want, after all, you're just so cute. However, her sense of responsibility and care for you overwhelms her need to coddle you.

Anna will say your name firmly, getting you to pay attention to her, and only her. She'll get a tissue for you and wipe your tears away, and ask firmly what you're sad or angry about and if you could possibly explain it to her.

If you can't verbally, for whatever reason, she'll give you the opportunity to write it on paper or she'll play a guessing game with you, the guessing game is only for when you're extremely upset and need cheering up though.

If you explain, in whatever format you need to, that you're upset because of an issue that's causing you distress, maybe food triggered sensory issues, someone was mean to you, etc, then she'll let you off the hook because you clearly didn't mean to cause any harm and you were just acting out.

Rogue will give you a bit of a talking to, telling you that crying and throwing things makes it difficult to help, but that's about it. Given it's not your fault she isn't actually too mad, she just wants you to understand that she won't know how to help if you're kicking and screaming.

If, however, your outburst was because of a silly reason, say you don't like the colour crayons and you throw them at her, she won't be as quick to accept it and move on.

She's still very sympathetic and won't ever raise her voice at you, even when you've done something especially terrible for no apparent reason.

Anna is very lenient and her 'punishments' usually just include a minute or so sitting in the corner, maybe withholding drawing from you for the day, but she always makes sure to explain in detail why you're being punished and it's usually only a last resort.

Rogue is very sweet even when she's being stern, her eyes can't help but go soft and her tone slips from that firm scolding one she uses when you're being bad, to a sweet almost coo-like baby voice.

Afterwards she comforts you like there's no tomorrow, telling you that she didn't want to hurt your feelings by taking away something or sending you to the corner, but you just need to learn some manners and how to handle yourself.

If you're fussy in terms of only liking clothes of a certain colour, food cut or made in a certain way, or things being done in a particular order, she absolutely doesn't mind doing these things for you! When it comes to cooking Rogue tends to ask for Gambit's help, she's not the worst cook in the world, but she can't do it like Remy can.

When it comes to removing parts of food, maybe you like to remove the crusts of bread and have them separate or not at all, she'll happily cut them off for you and maybe even eat the crusts while talking to you.

Sometimes she matches clothes with you! After all, 'If you like these clothes, they must be the best ones they got!' She says with a grin.

ORORO MUNROE / STORM

'My child, it's important to remember your manners when speaking to those around you. I am not angry, but you must tell me what is wrong if I am to correct my mistake or you are able to grow.'

The moment she notices you starting to throw a tantrum, which is fairly fast even if your signs are just a deep frown, asking you if everythings alright and most of the time avoiding any tantrums before they begin.

However, sometimes you refuse to tell her what's wrong, perhaps you go straight to throwing toys or food, pouting, yelling, in replying she will simply hold a gentle hand on your shoulder and kindly repeat her question on what the matter is. Her tone is gentle and her face is one of genuine concern.

Like Rogue, if you're in distress because of something that's not your fault, or maybe you're just overwhelmed, she will never hold it against you at all. If you're comfortable with it and it's something you need to calm down, Storm will pick you up and give you a tight hug, if not, she's alright with just holding a hand on your shoulder, or even removing her hand and only speaking to you.

Ororo will get on one knee, bending down to speak to you in a hushed whisper, she'll tell you that it's all okay, that she'll help you and make it better, give you different food, turn off the lights, whatever you need, she can give it to you.

However, if you're just being fussy to perhaps get a reaction out of her, she'll raise her brow in an almost amused action, as if she finds your attempts to be aggravating as cute as a cat nibbling on its owner's hand. If you're throwing a fit just to throw one, she will definitely tell you sternly that you cannot do such things, at least not in her care.

I don't think that Storm is the type to use the corner or naughty step as a punishment, after all, she has her own fear of tight, dark places, you may fear loneliness, or abandonment, she does not wish her own troubles onto a mind like yours.

Instead, she talks to you, more importantly, she'll help you figure out what you did wrong, how to improve next time, and reflect on her own actions to see if the trouble was caused by a mistake on her part. It won't be an in depth conversation, she tends to use stuffed animals as an aid to show you an outsiders perspective.

If you're struggling with saying your words out loud, never fear, she has tons of paper and crayons, or pencils, pen, markers, etc if that's what you prefer, just for you! She keeps them in her room for whenever you regress and want to keep near her when doing so.

Ororo will advise you to draw your feelings, maybe even write a letter if that's more what you're comfortable with. She doesn't mind bad spelling or handwriting, she's quite good at deciphering even the most atrociously unintelligible handwriting.

At most, and only if you've been really bad, she'll lead you to your room, or hers, just to make sure you don't get embarrassed and act out further. Storm will tell you what you did wrong as firmly as she can so that you'll understand. It's only a light scolding though, she never ever raises her voice when you're around unless you need or want her to.

If she ever does raise her voice and it startles or frightens you, she will apologise, regardless of if you've done something wrong or not. It's never her intention to harm you, you've entrusted her to care for you and she will do anything in her power to achieve that goal.

If your fussiness is about certain clothes, textures, toys, etc, she absolutely doesn't mind exclusively getting you certain clothes or toys, and she won't be angry at all if you throw a tantrum over texture or taste, because she's fully aware it can be distressing to have an unfavourable texture of clothing of food.

Ororo will always ask questions about something before she gets it for you, after a while she knows pretty much all of your likes and dislikes.

She's a great cook and can switch the taste or texture in something with just a flick of her wrist, something she doesn't mind doing, especially if the food she's already making is something that causes a lot of stress.

Reader could literally sleep for days- no eating, no drinking, just sleep. He can fall asleep in the most random places too.... Like the character(s) find reader asleep in a fucking tree so they wake him up and then half an hour later they find him asleep under a table. The only time reader can reliably stay awake is when he is doing something important or when he is spending time with the characters <3 (Aka, doing something important)

no because he's so adorable and despite his tall stature he doesn't have all that much confidence and doesn't really know what to do with himself, especially regarding social situations

so getting a date is hard for him

in reality, he doesn't really his shyness is a massive charming point for him, a quality he wouldn't quite expect to work to his advantage

and that's how he got you!

once he's finally in a relationship he's sooooo cliche when it comes to romance. buys bouquets of flowers, boxes of chocolates, a teddy bear, etc etc...

he just lives for the cute type of romance he has watched in dramas so many times before. he's not one to completely romanticise everything all the time, but he does see his perspective of life change when he has you by his side. he has a newfound appreciation for life that he didn't think he would ever be able to obtain.

he's a very good listener and prides himself in that. he understands that at times you would like to hear his thoughts and opinions, perhaps offering you some advice with a situation you're struggling in. but he also knows that sometimes you don't want any advice, you just want to vent to him, and he's fine sitting back and listening to you, providing support just by being there.

in the first couple of months, he might be too shy to initiate much physical touch, so if you are that type of person i think it'll be wise to either initiate it at first or, when he does give you light touches here and there, you encourage and reassure that it's okay and that you like it.

all he needs is little pieces of encouragement and affirmation that he's doing okay, and then he slowly but surely becomes confident in his relationship with you.

and when he becomes more comfortable he initiates more physical affection. he is especially fond of cuddles and surprisingly likes being the small spoon a lot despite his tall stature. there's something about being held by you that makes his heart flutter.

he's a very soft and fluffy boyfriend. lets you wear his clothes all the time without any objection because he loves it, blushing a little when he sees you in his hoodie for the first time. he just thinks it looks adorable on you and feels the intense urge to cuddle you so <3333

but any physical affection and cuddling of any sort are usually left for when you two are definitely alone because the amount of times the other members have come in to tease you both when they catch you snuggling up to each other is crazy, my guy deserves a break!

dates with him would include:

picnic dates - he loves sitting out with you in the sun, relaxing and taking in those rays while sharing some summer fruits together and just talking about absolutely anything. he knows it's simple as an idea, but he somehow makes every picnic date unique, perhaps bringing a little gift each time or going to a different place each time.

lunch-break dates - this includes activities like grabbing a coffee or a beat to it, or going for a walk with him. but be warned because those long legs of his do big and mighty strides so you'll have to tell him to walk a bit slower if you have little legs like i do 💀 the struggle is real.

board games - he likes things that people might not expect. obviously video games are fun but he feels board games are a great way to bond with anyone and actually involve you interacting with each other instead of staring at the screen. but he can be surprisingly competitive depending on the game so keep an eye out for that!

overall, he's a very soft boy and needs to be appreciated and loved always

omg jason time... i am about to reveal how much i love and miss countdown and all its potential and the fact that i cannot shut up abt it...

JAYKYLE i think that theres something so interesting about their dynamic during countdown (kyle in one of his worst mental spaces post-ion, jason adrift as he tries to figure out what he's doing in a post under the hood world) and the antagonism/friendliness that so clearly could have morphed into a truly interesting relationship that could have been so thematically relevant to both their storylines and i wishhhhh dc had actually committed to more stories with them post countdown but well. as with all jason things we must grasp onto its potential with all our might <3

16. What's your least favorite ship for this character?

The clear answer is anything batcest but outside of that i have to say jay/roy. i have read all of rhato unfortunately and so i can understand logically why people end up shipping them if rhato is their intro to comics/they haven't read any roy comics before (or jason ones for that matter lmao) but like. n52 roy is simply not roy harper, and lobdell's writing is truly so contemptuous towards him (and kory) that i really really dislike it. as with everything that came out of that series it relies on butchering every single character and selling their parts off in order to contrive a dynamic that does not make sense given their histories. blegh.

18. How about a relationship they have in canon with another character that you admire?

JASON AND DONNA TROY YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS <3333 its like catnip to me i wont lie. like even starting in jay's robin era him and donna have such a fun dynamic (see: ntt v2 #20 esp), where outside of dick she is the titan who takes the most time to talk to him/get to know him, and then after his ressurection in countdown she is like. the only person who really gives him any chance/benefit of the doubt re:duela or his capacity to change. i think the fact that they had suchhhhh clear parallels to each other with their deaths/ressurections and the fact that they cause such huge shifts in their internal self-conceptions, and the process of them dealing with that on their little cross-dimensional road trip is such a treat. sometimes you see someone you used to know two lifetimes ago and it is a comfort and a knife because who they are and who you are have so radically changed but all you can do is keep moving forward etc etc. i wish they had done more with these two after 2007, but unfortunately jason got tossed back into batman-land and genuinely some of the worst writing he has had post-res and donna had like .5 good comics afterwards (i hate u titans 2008). once again: potential potential potential

Four things to know about me:

— I overthink A LOT

— I need a lot of alone time

— I cannot physically say "I love you" (a part of me dies every time I say it, I have to build up courage for a good ten minutes beforehand) or really talk about my feelings without joking or belittling them

— My best friend has had the princess treatment for me, so I'm a bit spoiled ... if that makes sense (she's the best person ever, she always lets me hug her whenever I want to, gives me her jacket or cardigan whenever I'm cold, buys me books she wants me to read, made me a studio ghibli game by hand and gets me candy <3333)

With that said, Hedwig would get insecure by not hearing her darling say "I love you" because she'd think that they wouldn't like her. But she would like how clingy they are, always wanting to hug or hold hands (i held hands with my best friend for over an hour one day without letting go) or just lean onto her in class. Hedwig would without hesitation give her darling her jacket/scarf/etc if her darling shivered and her darling (acting like me) would try to play it off as not needing it until caving in and accepting it.

Hedwig would love to read the novels her darling writes and her darling would love to show because not a lot of people offer that. She would probably be quite horrified by the content, but supportive regardless.

She would be very careful because her darling would be extremely suspicious. Slightest thing feeling off? Have to ask about it and will not feel good about any answer. Seeing something they shouldn't? Will take pictures off it to keep for later. Thankfully, her darling is a very forgiving (and probably easily manipulated) person, which makes her life a bit easier.

Hedwig would beg and plead to know why her darling is acting sad and will want to know everything. Through jokes that makes your problems seem smaller than they actually are, Hedwig will listen and make sure to help you (either by comforting you or murdering them, no biggie) until you feel better. what can I say about this ship that hasn’t been said? They make me genuinely insane and they hit in ways… I’ve been obsessed with and have actively shipped them for over half my life lol. They are my ultimate OTP. I don’t even really care for e2l pairings personally but lawlight to me is just Different and those that get it get it

2) Kataang from Avatar: The Last Airbender

Literally they were the first ship I ever shipped. I’ve shipped this pairing since I was like 8 years old. They are very near and dear to my heart and they are so cute and perfect together and they spark so much joy and I am SO EXCITED for the movie!!!!

3) Byler from Stranger Things

I am obsessed with this ship. I love them so much and I am rooting for their endgame in the final season! I love the analysis the byler shippers come up with and they’re genuinely such a fun ship to me

4) Eremika from Attack On Titan

This ship makes me rabid I’m serious. I spiraled so bad after I finished AOT and devoured like 20 fics to cope. They ruined my life etc but I love it

My favorite character of all time is Light Yagami from Death Note. I fucking LOVE his character so much. I just love everything about him. The way he’s written, the nuance, his whole aesthetic. It’s so *chefs kiss* and I have so many thoughts about him. I am NOT one of those death note “fans” that hates Light or drags his character lol. I am a Light enjoyer unapologetically and he imo is one of the best villains of ALL TIME

Another character I love immensely is Carl Grimes from The Walking Dead comic book. Not the show cuz the show is trash! I used to relate so much to Carl growing up bc I read the comic book as a teen. He’s forever cemented as one of my favorite characters of all time. Also I love the character design and how he’s kind of an anti hero

I also love Ellie Williams from The Last of Us 1 and 2 for the same reason. She reminds me a lot of Carl in the “anti hero” sense. She’s also such a badass. Love those video games !!!!

I also love Eren Yeager from Attack on Titan. Can you tell I like morally questionable characters? Lol. Eren was always and will always remain my favorite character in AOT. He’s kind of crazy but I like it lol and I kind of relate 🤣

Aang from ATLA is also one of my favorite characters. He’s got a sick character design, I love the way he’s written and he’s genuinely a huge comfort character to me. His character arc makes me cry it’s so well done and I love his personality. His character makes me very happy :)

Lastly I think another fav character is Will Byers from Stranger Things. I relate heavily HEAVILY with him. Not only that he’s an artist like me, or his personality which is similar to me as well, but also his upbringing with an abusive father and lastly the fact he’s canonically a gay guy like me makes me feel very represented in the show. He’s my favorite in the entire cast of characters. Love him to death and Noah Schnapp was such a perfect cast and he acts his ass off every second of screen time

Thanks for the ask! I'd love to dive into these eheheh. (Spoilers for OC and follower mod stories)

Maevynn:

Phew, that's hard one for Maevynn, considering she's not got any sort of comfort from, well, anyone her entire life, up until Val. That considered, she's pretty used to physical touches and stuff, but it hits totally different coming from who she loves, still, words of assurance and confidence, knowing that some actually believes in her rather than following her out of fear, would comfort her a lot, mainly because it's so rare to hear it.

Oooookay, this is a hard one, I won't lie. There are two scary moments worth mentioning, the first one taking place before she ran away, became a pirate, changed her identity, etc.

When her previous lover, the adventurer who came into her town, told her parents about her plans to run away, she was terrified of that dream being crushed, so she ran away and converted to crime, and took extreme measures to cover up her whole past life.

The second took place many, many years later, when Val was taken by mercenaries while they were sleeping. One, she was terrified of losing the one person she loves and trusts, and two, she hated how badly hurt he got; being shoved into a deeeeeep pit, having his body broken, beaten by falmer, a daedric prince whispering in his ear, all of it. Worst of all, she felt like it was her fault, that she should have been more vigilant at night. She thought that were she not so comfortable, she would have woke up at any tiny sound like she always did. She didn't sleep for like a week after that.

Vyeshna:

This is a very interesting question for her, because she is a noble hero who wants to do what's best for everyone, but on the other hand was raised a Telvanni and holds some Telvanni beliefs. She doesn't have any problems with law enforcement, of course it's necessary for keeping order and people safe, nor does have a bounty or any severe warrant out on her. She has broken the law before, trespassing and stealing things from time to time, mostly during her youth. She also has dabbled in illegal magics, such as levitation during the 4th era. She's never been caught, though.

At first, it was Lyrandra. She'd do anything for her sister, to keep her happy, keep her safe, the like. But when the two split because of Lyrandra being young, ignorant, and ungrateful, Vyeshna was on her own for nearly 200 years. As of now, 100% Teldryn. He's always been loyal, loving, and caring towards her. She also greatly respects his skills and wit, and adores his charming sass. Even after Vyeshna and Lyrandra reunite, Teldryn is still one of, if not the most important person to her, as he's never done what Lyrandra did, and it's difficult to forgive her.

3. how do the other characters generally feel about your self insert?

i dont think many would actually know aine's... present because she's holed up in her house for so long... probably her relatives only know about her existence wiwiwi but! she's generally very shy and quiet, not very used to talking to others! but she tries her best to be sweet :3

irene is ... probably envied by many people! i mean she's part of a prestigious family and she's very pretty! she's not like most women of her age who can be pretty uptight (at least i think so...) - she's very humble about her wealth and doesnt go out of her way to shove how fortunate she is... its all because of her old past that she's very gentle and considerate :3

9. who are your self insert’s closest friends?

unfortunately as i've said earlier, poor baby aine doesnt have much friends, but she's very, very close and trusting of her gallade who acts as her best friend and guardian no matter where she is. she always finds comfort in gallade. but if i had to pick one person who would be her close friend, it would be erika - i think she'd help aine be more relaxed and less nervous about herself and sleepy times together LAFDKSLKFSKA. i wanna plug blake into the story as well, i can totally see him to be a big brother to aine and i picture blake to be more friendly! aine needs nice company, she needs it for sure ;; softcore version of color pallet trio . cold pallet trio if you will. bye

right off the bat, i just told myself "yes irene and emma are best friends" emma probably provides the best chamomile and irene looooves tea. they bond over that heheheh. maybe helena and tracy too! i have such soft spots for them and i really like them! irene definitely doesnt like nobles that much (i excuse reynold however. eheh). i would include naib, but i dont think it would work out? im just biased wiwiwi

15. how does your self insert play a role in the plot of the story? do they help directly defeat the villain, support the heroes, etc.?

aine has two "endings" on what happens when she sees him. one is the happy route where, yk, they get along, yadda yadda, romance, bonding, all that jazz. the second ending is... a little more unfortunate. basically she was a bit too late, because he's frostbitten now, and she regrets leaving her home and will probably stay at home more often now because the world is much more terrifying than she suspected. poor girl

irene is made with the purpose of wanting to ship with someone in the game yes - but the plot twist was that i was not actually crushing on no.rton at the time (he was just a fav) but found him to be a cute match with irene and i did just that. and then my dumbass fell for him shortly after HSAJKFHJAFHSFJSA im so doopid woawwww....

14. do you like to play characters with family?

i do!! i think it's fun to have preestablished connections and play with family dynamics in game. for me it's really helpful in fleshing out a character to think of how they were raised/grew up

fishing for compliments i see... well. i think the way you connect the elements of the plot (npcs, events we know about, etc) and manage to keep us guessing for So Long is just. incredible to me. truly cannot comprehend how you do it at all its bonkers

20. is your pc religious?

not particularly. will grew up kind of passively involved in the religion his parents were but it wasn't that deep. he's never felt drawn to any god or dedicated to it enough to like. call himself a follower of any one god. he recognizes the comfort people can find in religion but doesn't see that being the case for him

22. how do they feel about the rest of the party?

ough. he's so endeared to everyone. he's very protective and paternal to divine, and he is determined to Parent her into talking about her feelings and not being soooo repressed. he and cass are so old people suffering watching the younger generation together and he does think she's sick as hell. onion. oh onion. will is absolutely fascinated by onion and wants to be their friend soooo bad. but theyre also Like That so will is taking it slow lol

12. what attracted me into checking it out

All of my friends on twt were playing it for approximately two years, I tried to downloaded the game back on 2021 (?) but I gave up because of launcher issues. On 2023, I heard of Yelan's rerun and she has the same japanese VA with Shoko Ieiri from JJK and I love her so I tried to download it again and pulled for Yelan as my first limited five stars and no regrets at all I love her sm....

20. how and when they should get/should have gotten together

AURGH I posted something on twitter abt this......but basically Haytham keeps coming back to Aaru Village for several reasons (individual work, cyno and/or dehya are there, kaveh's library project) or no reason at all (to read book somewhere alone) and Kandake always invites him for dinner when he's around, and eventually they talk more.

Haytham always talks about his colleagues, friends, and people he knows and Kandake always listens, as if she also loves them too (she DOES). He finds that he doesn't have to hide his adoration to people around him when she's around. Eventually the talk about other people turns into talk about each other, gentle and careful approach of each other's values, ideas, thoughts, feelings, concerns, etc etc. Without realizing it, they get comfortable with each other's presence and one day they hurriedly break the kiss initiation when Uncle Anpu finds them in the archive <3333

(Idk how to put concepts into words but there's something kind about Kandake being moon instead of guiding star, it will always there in the sky, kindly watching everything and giving her light unconditionally, even if you walk away from it. So I always think kelp forest is just like the moon and the tide, they're subtly dancing around the earth while everyone is asleep)

Empty On-Call Rooms - the long awaited poly 141 au feat. surgeon reader (think grey’s anatomy centric, starting out as an intern and making your way to residency and attending), 141 spoiling them, starting out as price x reader with that “oh, you thought this was just a one night stand?” trope. also featuring the 141 forcing reader to care for themselves (ie, making them remember to eat, get enough sleep, etc. due to their burnt out nature that comes with being an intern/resident).

Reckless Behavior - soap drabble request from a drabble ask game sent in from @/kitkatscabinet! (preemptively apologizing for taking so long sjskjs. featuring best friends to lovers trope, slow burn, arguments, and showing up at their door in the middle of the night for comfort. in summary, reader experiences a close call when they forgo obeying orders in a mission so that the objective can be accomplished. soap doesn’t take that well, at all. feelings come out in the most passionate way possible, falling from soaps lips as he’s pounding you into the mattress.)

Following Orders - price spanking smut, inspired by @/vgilantee and I’s convos. (i’m sure you can imagine that i’m beating myself up abt this taking so long jsksjs but honestly it’s bc i have a hard time writing the character being mad at the reader 😭 definitely isn’t a reflection of my own feelings about people being mad at me IRL. definitely not. to summarize, reader takes a big risk during a mission and either almost gets hurt or does get hurt. either way, reader ends up bent over his thighs 😁)

Beard Burn - price face sitting drabble, inspired again by @/vgilantee and i’s convo abt price giving reader beard burn!!! (no summary bc that’s v self explanatory lol)

Good Soldier - price/reader/ghost part 3 (to summarize, after ghost peeks into price’s office and witnesses price finger fucking reader, price shows him that he’ll always be the one in charge. price then forces ghost to watch him fuck you, and then ghost worships you. part 4 and 5 afterwards.)
