probably my favourite thing about shadowheart is how her wisdom and charisma scores are expressed in her character. she lies all the time, it's absolutely central to her identity that she doesn't give away pieces of herself freely.

she is also so fucking bad at lying. if it isn't obvious that she's trying to redirect or mislead from the get go it becomes painfully obvious the moment she chooses to share something on purpose. literally everything about her changes when she is telling the truth - her posture, her expression, her tone of voice, her choice of words. she might as well have a neon sign above her head that lights up with 'I AM LYING' when she's trying to use any charisma skill.

but her wisdom score is such that you can blatantly call her out and it achieves as much as getting her to stubbornly jut out her chin like both parties KNOW that she's lying. we all KNOW she is hiding something. she KNOWS she cannot hide this.

that doesn't mean she's going to tell you though what are you, crazy? so what if you know she's hiding something fuckin' hell if she's gonna tell you about it jog on mate

can't believe an anime called buddy daddies did not end up being, in fact, just a silly little comedy of two hitmen raising a child together but instead an actual heartwarming, well written show about (re)learning to love and to be loved, about how the meaning of family goes way beyond blood and no matter how unconventional it may be, it's still as perfect and valid because it's yours and you wouldn't trade it for anything else
