— ma put notes in his lunchbox when he was little and he still has them in a small box on top of his closet

— he’d be a sandbox game lover. animal crossing, stardew valley, anything like that

— he surprisingly has really good endurance, and it’d piss coriolanus off when they’d have to run for their peacekeeper training because he couldn’t keep up

— double knots his shoe laces because he got tripped so much as a kid

— favorite pie is either peach or apple

— probably has a fish tank

— when he’s reading he makes his own bookmarks

— actually knows how to slow dance properly thanks to ma

— he draws on gum wrappers

— is deathly terrified of any kind of flying bug (but would pick up any spider to take it outside and set it free 😭)

— he had a pet duck in district 2

— his favorite flowers are tulips because they continue to grow even once they’ve been cut

— he loves to help ma cook. whether it’s handing her ingredients, or stirring the pot while she steps outside. anything to make her days a little easier

— his favorite color is orchid purple

— he’s a collector!!!! i think he’d collect rocks, stamps, pennies, flowers and leaves, literally anything he can find because he likes to make scrapbooks for them

— can’t sleep unless he’s cold

— owns tons of graphic tees and other colorful attire as an adult because his father only let him wear formal clothing growing up

— definitely gets motion sickness

— cannot drive for shit and should never be trusted behind the wheel

— his love languages are acts of service and gift giving

— his favorite treat of ma’s is her cupcakes, especially the ones she makes for his birthday

— diary / journal ownerrrrr (the fact that he had one in his box in the movie made my heart happy, okay lionsgate you get a point from me…)

— has a piece of jewelry that he’s worn for half of his life, and it’s either a ring or a necklace (maybe both!)

— the marble heart that was in his box in the book was from marcus

— in a present day au, i can always see him being a tutor in high school, maybe even a student teacher in his early 20’s (i think i’ve actually talked about this before on here LMAO) but i don’t think he’d become a full-on teacher in the end, and would diverge his career path to eventually become an EMT

— it takes him years to get through a bottle of cologne

— since he’s canonically good at science, i think he spent a lot of his childhood conducting fun experiments (DEFINITELY the baking soda-and-vinegar volcano)

— his home would be full of the silliest decor. cat cups and colorful paintings, and he has gnomes in his lawn… he gives them names

Can we talk about how a first date with Bakugou is so awkward?

Like shockingly awkward because he's been steadily flirting with you, although harshly, over the past year before he finally asks you out on a real date.

Naturally you say yes. You've been to lunch and dinners with him before, gotten drunk at work events and listened to him whisper filth into your ear while your coworkers were distracted. Hell you've even sat in his lap and made out with him at Shouto's annual Christmas party so the two of you aren't strangers to your mixed up feelings.

But when you arrive at the agreed meeting spot Bakugou is a totally different man. Shoulders slightly raised or hunched, hands hidden away in his pockets because he can't trust his sweaty palms when normally he stands cock sure, thick arms crossed over his chest in annoyance with a straight spine and shoulders back.

He's thirty and yet he feels sixteen again avoiding his crush at all costs because of how nervous they made him but he's the one who asked YOU out. Why is he fuckin nervous?!

It's no different now, constant blush on his ears, standing an arm's length away when before he'd be right on top of you, intentional or not.

He's just so worried he's gonna fuck this date up because he really, really, likes you.

okay so the "fake out lujanne-lissa" scene/plot is egregious for a lot of reasons, but actually, my BIGGEST complaint with this one isn't even the hypocrisy, but rather what a MISSED OPPORTUNITY it was for a deeper, more complex exploration of the SIBLING dynamic between claudia and soren.

when terry says "i think there's one person who can put those pieces back together," and soren asks, "what are you getting at?" i was absolutely flabbergasted when he followed it up with "your mom," because i was completely, 100% expecting him to say soren.

terry's whole argument here is that everything claudia does, she does out of love for her family. why would he think of lissa OVER soren - lissa, who, as terry seems to know by now, hurt claudia so badly when she left, and who claudia hasn't seen in fifteen years? who claudia has barely even spoken of outside of talking to ezran about how hard it was for her being asked to choose between her parents? she talks to viren multiple times about doing things for "our family," but lissa ostensibly hasn't been a part of that family since claudia was very young.

the show even makes a point of drawing a parallel between soren and lissa in season three, when soren chooses to leave viren's side after his takeover of lux aurea, and claudia pleads with him "don't ask me to choose, soren - not again." and then refuses to say goodbye to him, because she can't bear accepting that her brother is leaving her. if the writers really wanted to go with the angle of "her love for her family is the only thing that can stop her" why not use soren instead - whom claudia clearly hasn't resolved her issues with, who's a much fresher example in her mind of being abandoned or left behind?? (AND with all the focus put on terry making them PROMISE not to hurt her, it feels like it was the perfect setup for soren to actually TALK to her, and for the story to explore their relationship in more complexity.)

i just feel like it would have made so much more sense for soren to be the one to try and stop claudia by genuinely connecting with her - a real attempt at reconciling with her and offering her a true path back, instead of the weird manipulative choice to try and trick her with an illusion of her mother (who, again, broke claudia's heart last time she saw her and has caused her emotional trauma that's stuck with her for years of her life. like????? UGH.) vs soren, who claudia clearly still loves - in the final scene with her, she still labels herself as his sister that he should love and be unwilling to kill, and refuses to kill him because she's "still herself" - inherently saying that he's still her brother, to her, and she doesn't want him dead, even when she already considers herself as being abandoned by him.

soren is, by now, the only living & present family that claudia has left. it just feels so much more intuitive and believable that he would be the only one who can connect with claudia where she is now and offer her a way back home.

I finished Shadowheart’s quest pretty early into Act 3 this time around and so her parents have just been like, there the whole time.

And so it leaves me to imagining her like going about the rest of Act 3, coming back to camp every day and them being like “what did you do today?” and she’s just like “we raided an underwater prison and blew up a foundry” or “we went to hell”
