🌱 Sativa Grow - Day 2 🌱

My seedling sprouted just yesterday and was happy to see it made it’s way to life! Today, this one has quickly grown in size and has it’s cotyledons with it’s true leaves ready to poke! I did decide to remove the bags now and also bring the LED light down to prevent stretching. My bags didn’t allow me to bring the light low enough so away they must go! Great to get a seed going though. Now that I adjusted the distance this one should stay where it’s at and focus on leaf & root growth right now.

Tip: Avoiding stretching early in a grow is essential for the plant later on! This can be caused by your artificial lighting system being to far away from the plant, causing it to grow towards the light. (Not in a good way!) Be sure to adjust your light closer if this happens so your plant isn’t fighting for light and can grow how it should. If you don’t adjust it and allow the stretching to get worse the plant won’t have strong support later on when you go to flower which could cause branches to give and ruin you’re plant!!!

🌱 Sativa Grow - Day 1 🌱

Planted my germinated seed late last night into a solo cup and added a sandwich bag to keep some moisture and humidity. By the next day, it has already left it’s shell and broke through the soil. Excited to see how this one pans out! 

🌱 STARTING SETUP 🌱

Pot: Solo Cup (Temporary)

Lighting: 5600-6500k Daylight LED Bulb

Soil: Organic Seed Starting Mix

Feed: pH Balanced Water

I use a solo cup because these seedlings don’t need a very large pot to grow and I don’t want to chance over-watering them. This also allows them to out grow their current cups first, then planting them into a slightly larger pot, and then so on! Seed starting mix is great just getting started because the medium is soft, light, and doesn’t have lots of nutrients. Seedlings don’t need nutrients that early. I like to wait atleast 3 weeks before giving them nutes. Lighting, I just use a clip-on lamp witha 5600k-6500k daylight led bulb with atleast a 60watt rating. Seedlings grow best with these lights to me cause they don’t overpower, remember, these little ones don’t need lots of everything to start out. Let them grow a little more and get stronger! Keep your light around 3-5 inches from your seedling to prevent stretching,stretching is bad, m’kay? When feeding my seedlings, I like to use good ol’ pH balanced water. Nothing special. Cannabis plants uptake nutrients best in soil at a pH between 6.0 and 7.0. I like to aim for around 6.5-6.7 when I mix my feed. You can find cheap pH Kits online that give you everything you need to adjust & test you’re water’s pH. I personally don’t use any pH adjusters, I use lime juice to adjust my pH naturally and it works well for me! Lime juice adds acidity to the water allowing me to lower it to wher I need. Hope some of this information helps with anyone out there growing cannabis!  🌱

Amerika’ya ilk ayak basan Müslüman kabul edilen Hacı Ali, Amerikalılar ismini telaffuzda zorlandığı için, Hacı Ali, Amerikalılar arasında “Hi Jolly” olarak nam salıyor.

Hacı Ali aslında Osmanlı ordusunda geri hizmetlerde çalışan bir deve terbiyecisi. Bir deve terbiyecisinin yeni dünyada ne işi vardır? Bir Osmanlı’nın Amerika’ya neden yolu düşsün? Hikaye şöyle: ABD savaş bakanı Jefferson Davis, iki yıllık Meksika Savaşı (1846-1848) sonrası düzenin tekrar sağlanması ve askeri malzemelerin çöl ortamında rahatça taşınması için en uygun ulaşım aracının develer olduğuna kanaat getiriyor. Bunun için ABD’nin Osmanlı büyükelçisi aracılığı ile padişah Abdülmecid’e başvuruyor.

Abdülmecid’in oluru ve fazladan iki deve hediyesi ile ABD’ye dönecek Amerikalılar, develerin kullanımı ve bakımı için birisine ihtiyaç duyuyor. Bunun için, İstanbul’dan sonra İzmir’e uğrayarak Osmanlı ordusunda muvazzaf Hacı Ali’yi de yanlarına alıyorlar. Develer ile Teksas limanına gelen bu ilk kafile, ABD’deki ilk deve birliğinin de temelini oluşturuyor. Deveci Hacı Ali, bu kafilenin liderliğini yapıyor. Bahsedildiği gibi Amerikalıların telaffuzda zorlanması sonucu adı Hi Jolly’e dönüşen Hacı Ali, 1880 yılında ABD vatandaşı oluyor, 30 yıl Amerikan ordusuna hizmet ediyor.

Hacı Ali, 1880’de Tucson’da (Arizona) Gertrude Serna’yla evleniyor. Daha sonra da Arizona’daki Quartzsite kasabasına yerleşiyor. “Amelia” ve “Herminia” isimli iki kız çocuğu oluyor. 1899’da hayatta kalan develeri tekrar toplamak için Arizona’nın Ajo kasabasına gittiyse de hayalini gerçekleştiremiyor.

Ölene kadar tüccar Mike Welz ve arkadaşlarının destek olduğu Hacı Ali’ye, Arizona Kongre üyesi Mark Smith U.S. Army’den emekli maaşı bağlamak istiyor ancak başaramıyor.

Ömrünün son yıllarını Arizona’nın Quartzsite kasabasında şerif olarak geçiren Hacı Ali, son olarak develerini bulmak için Coloroda River ile Wickenburg arasındaki çöllerde yola düşüyor ve bir devenin boynuna sarılı halde ölü olarak bulunuyor.

1902’de 73 yaşında vefat eden Hacı Ali, ölmeden önce birkaç devenin hala civar bölgelerde dolaştığına inanıyordu. Nitekim son vahşi deve 1946’da Arizona’da yakalandı. Son olarak görüldüğü iddia edilen vahşi deve ise Baja, California’da 1956’da rapor edildi. Hacı Ali’nin baktığı, Osmanlı topraklarından getirilen develerden biri de 1934’te Los Angeles’taki Garfield Hayvanat Bahçesi’nde 80 yaşında öldü.

A gente falou de casamento, nenhum dos dois se importava mas eu realmente pensava em casar num jardim florido, com roupas frescas e flores colorodas enfeitando as mesas. A gente falou da viagem pra Itália, eu realmente sempre quis ir pra lá com alguém que eu amasse, queria que tivesse sido você. Desculpa se essa coisa do parasita soou malvada, não sou boa com palavras e tentei fazer uma analogia capenga.
