how do u think swansea's relationship with his family was like

I think he had an average relationship with his family.

Like he was an okay father and his kids were okay. They had average accomplishments, nothing to throw a party over in his mind but they got a special dinner or a simple gift. They went into average fields and are ok people. He never got a world’s greatest dad mug but he knows his grandkids and his kids call him. He’s not proud but he’s not exactly disappointed, just wishing they were more I suppose.

He loves his wife but he stopped liking her. They go out more as people who’ve known each other for a while rather than a couple. She’s his permanent companion and he’d never leave her but sometimes he wonders if it was right. He’s to old to actually question it but he wonders about it like an old memory. The feelings mutual. They are an okay couple.

I think Swansea loves his family but he doesn’t like them. His whole deal is sort of being disillusioned with the “good” life. The proper life is so dull to him, he’s gotta give too much and he doesn’t really have much to give. He doesn’t neglect them but it’s the bare minimum so they know he cares. It’s mutual in a sense that’s all they know. It’s sad in a way it’s not. It’s telling that he prefers to celebrate his sobriety by buying himself something like sneakers rather than an event with his family.

They are more of a reminder of what he’s not and what he can’t go back to rather than an active reason not to. They are a fine family and that’s his problem. It’s just fine.

deeply intrigued by ten: raven boys ultimate au cinematic universe

Aaah that one is my baby that I haven't touched in a while, but it's so precious to me that it stays in my WIP folder. It's a series of loosely connected Raven Cycle crossover fics. Well two of them are the same canon, the other ones I haven't decided yet.

The first one is a crossover with White Collar, called White Collar Dreamers, where Declan ends up an intern at the FBI in the NY White Collar crimes office. Also Neal is a long lost Lynch sibling. There's a plot point where Adam is kidnapped and he wakes up and Neal has also been kidnapped. It's juicy. I started writing this one shortly after I read Call Down the Hawk when it first released.

The second fic, which is connected, is called Red, White, and Raven Boys and it's a crossover with RWRB and Adam and Alex become friends bc they're attending the same law school. Neal gives them recommendations where they can go to dinner that's low profile.

The third fic, which is loosely in the same universe, is called 'ronan puts a ring on it', he keeps dreaming up engagement rings and has a drawer full of them. He wants to wait until Adam graduates before he proposes.

And the fourth fic is called 'fuck brakebills tbh' which is a Magicians crossover the was written out of spite for the show after they did Quentin so dirty. This one is related to the above engagement fic, where Adam ends up engaged/married after Harvard and then ends up at Brakebills for gradschool. He's a bit bitter about being there, thinks they do a lot of BS, but he becomes friends with Quentin and Eliot and Margo adopt him. he's fascinating.

Currently, he's trapped indecisively between Gale and Astarion, who both seem quite taken with him (because who wouldn't be?). Things have progressed further with Astarion than Gale for the time being, but we'll see where things go in future. Maybe he'll manage to woo Lae'zel someday, maybe not. She doesn't seem to like him very much at the moment :(
