This came up as a Google photos memory from 5 years ago. I've gotta say I'm still impressed by this fish necklace! All the work was done without a torch. I used riveting and tabs on the fish and stone and made the chain doing wirewrap. Remember the hinged locket I made back in term 1? It was full of fire stain and was definitely not wearable, never mind sellable! . . Well, a while ago I was lucky enough to be invited to practise and learn what I can from a local jeweller at the Ta' Qali Crafts Village. Today I went in for the first time and he helped me improve this piece dramatically. The shop is called Exquisite and it's right on the parking area! I highly recommend you visit the shop for some stunning local filigree pieces at great prices! ❤️😁 . . Anyway, back to the piece at hand. We removed all the fire stain and polished it to a sweet mirror finish 🥰 It just looks so much better now 😍 . . I'm so grateful for this opportunity and I definitely recommend others find an experienced jeweller to work with, even if it is for a short while.
