If Hasbro wasn't a bunch of cowards they'd make it canon that "Colonel Mustard" is a nickname he earned by doing something related to mustard gas. What, specifically? Well...
Badass Answer: led a heroic charge through an enemy gas attack in WWI, saving many lives.
Funny Answer: Colonel Mustard earned his nickname by committing war crimes involving the use of chemical weapons.
Funniest Answer: In a modern AU, during his younger days as a dumbass recruit, he mixed bleach with some other cleaning product by accident, got chewed out in front of everyone by the Drill Sgt. for "attacking the barracks with Mustard Gas," and was unable to escape the resulting nickname for his entire military career, no matter how many promotions he got.

Suspect no. 6: Mr. Green 👓 (a bunch of friends of mine have all inexplicably decided to make Clue (the board game❓) themed characters, and I’ve taken to drawing them all in the very fitting, suspicious style of Edward Gorey - Very hard to find evidence against this guy... for obvious reasons ) Mr. Green belongs to @enigmamuse !!

The Dead Boy Detectives and their board games:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In an interview with IndieWire it was mentioned that they had “every international version of Clue” and I had to take a closer look. Not only is it not exactly “international” versions, (considering that both Charles and Edwin are British, their national one would be Cluedo, so Clue does work as international in that sense), but the board games you see in the background are all vintage and from different decades!
I did not cover all the Clues, although they do have at least 8 of them in that closet. But their assortment of board games is quite interesting!

TLB Favorite Board Games
David
RISK
He likes the strategy that’s involved
It boosts his ego whenever he wins
Like…. A lot
But he doesn’t want anyone to give him the win
If David finds out he won just bc everyone else was bored?
Welcome to HissyfitVille; population: David
He gets turned on whenever he feels like he’s in control of a situation, and this is no exception
Game nights normally end in sex if he does well
His favorite people to play against are Dwayne and Star, bc they’re the only two patient enough to see the game through AND play well
Michael tries, for David’s sake, but the poor dude has issues with tunnel vision that normally cost him
Paul and Marko start off interested, but are always the first two out
Paul gets bored and diverts his attention to bugging Marko
Marko quits so he can start getting back at Paul
David keeps a vintage version of the game on display in his nest from the first decade it was released
Dwayne
Clue
Loves himself a mystery
Everyone else switches which color they are everytime they play
But Dwayne can and WILL bite a chunk out of you if you try to steal professor plum
Nobody knows why he’s so obsessed with it
He doesn’t either but thinks it’s funny to pretend he has some deep dark secret connected to it
ONLY will play with the og map
Marko tried to get him to play the board walk side and was met with silence
Marko
Trivial Pursuit
But only plays it the proper way 50% of the time
The other half of the time he plays it is the Smosh version
Where they don’t actually answer the question, you just try to make the other person laugh
He made a custom version of the game when Michael turned so he could learn about them and vice versa
He does really well on the science questions
But for some reason he can’t seem to remember any famous ppls names outside of bands
Paul
Kerplunk
He likes that it’s so simple
He can just get stoned out of his mind and focus on kicking everyone else’s ass
If it wasn’t such a straight forward game everyone would accuse him of cheating because he has literally lost 3 rounds ever
He ignored David for 3 days after he raged and smashed it while playing
He was fine after David stole him another one and some weed
He also loved the sounds of the ball falling
———-
A/N: I’ve been gone for a while but here’s a fun little headcanon thing I thought about while shopping at Spirit Halloween today

A lil compilation of all my Clue Edward Gorey themed Drawings! Lord Blue Roan belongs to me, the other characters belong to friends of mine - if you check out @tromroan you'll see them all linked there if you're curious! A bunch of despicable suspects.

A human crewmate, Mia, held a long thin box. It seemed to have paper and plastic peices inside, based on the sound. A puzzle perhaps? A few other crewmates trailed behind them.
"Hey Bob! Wanna join us? We're playing Clue, it's a board game from earth."
Bob nodded and joined the others trailing after Mia. He had no idea what a 'board game' was, but it seemed fun. They eventually all gathered around a table in the cafeteria.
"Okay, so it's a murder mystery and we have to figure out who killed Mr. Body. We're all possible suspe-" Mia started to set up the board and explain, but was cut off by Jli'yan.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but why do humans have a game centered on murder and distrust?"
"Cause it's fun, thrilling. Good for poker face practice." Kaya answered, shuffling cards. They then nodded towards Mia to continue explaining.

I'm sitting here, coming up with a parody version of Clue™ just for a Lockwood and Co fanfic one-shot.
...
It's kinda fun, actually!
It's called "Haunted Mansion"
Instead of "solve the murder" it's "find the source."
Instead of playing suspect characters, you play different Agents (and a Supervisor) to make up a team.
Instead of "murder weapons" you have "potential sources."
And instead of trying to figure out who is the murderer, you try to figure out who's ghost is haunting the mansion.
I'm still figuring out the other mechanics, but so far I know it involves an egg timer, and suffering attacks from the "ghost."
