I've been losing my mind over the episode since yesterday before I could even understand what it all means aghhh I'm glad to see more ppl talking about it now.... I think the way it handles grief was so so poignant I don't even know how to properly explain this. It really felt like closure for terapagos as well and it established something really beautiful in that it's a shared grief between it and rystal and all the other six heroes... The way this episode reframes all of their encounters with the rvt makes me so emotional as well... It really felt like they had their own little world that suddenly burst and they're all still coping with that loss. I don't know if you watched the series frieren but it's very reminiscent of it in many ways
i am feeling the same way, i just watched it so i’m still processing my feelings but god i just keep crying over this damn turtle and all the people who surround it. i know horizons Goes Hard on the themes of generations, of families, of passing things down, but breaching the topic of the passing down of grief and handling it so well and so beautifully and for terapagos itself even without words in many ways… fuck. it’s a lot! i’m sitting here being emotional just about the concept of memory and legacy and loss. i didn’t know the pokemon anime could make me feel this way until now.
the closure for terapagos as well as the small bit of closure for rystal seeing it in her final years before passing… like my eyes keep welling up with tears over her basically entrusting her cherished partner who she didn’t even know if it would ever survive or not to liko… she didn’t want to be remembered necessarily but she wanted continued proof of her and lucius’ existences and she saw that… her choices led indirectly to terapagos being able to come back and i. fuck
there is so much weight in terapagos being caught by liko now. i can’t handle it!!! AA

I hope it's ok I'm sending another ask!! (It's been really fun seeing you answer them so thank you!!) I wanted to ask if you had a specific line you had the most fun delivering? I think what's so fun about erina is that she's so varied, in that she goes from being serious and somewhat stern to being so outgoing and passionate to being sarcastic to just outright silliness, so while I absolutely Love your delivery on her most climactic scene (I'm staying vague to avoid spoiling) I also loved that little scene where she tries summoning a persona, or when ryuji's profanity rubs off on her was also really fun to hear :D I'm sorry this turned kinda long!! Hope you're having a good day :)
please!! ask away lol. this is the first time ive ever like.. had asks on tumblr hahahaha.
thank you! im glad you found her varied and fun!
in the least spoilery way possible... i had the most fun recording the scenes with the kingdom 3 boss. easssyyyy. i shan't go into details to spoil it but... it was soo freaky and sooo fun. i love scary shit.
flashback scenes were really fun to record too, those came a little easier for me (and i thiiink we did them all in one session?).
and YEAH LMAOOO of course getting to shout "PERSONAAA" was really cool.

about the rice cooker question! from my knowledge at least as someone who both went through a long time of not having a cooker to having one, it mostly helps with preventing the rice from burning/sticking to the bottom of the pot, so it fits people with less cooking experience which in my experience is true and gets you more homogenous rice texture. mostly it's for ppl who are pretty picky about their rice as far as I can attest to lol
Hmm yeah that makes more sense. I guess the main reason why i didn't understand the point is that where i'm from fried rice is like the standard way to cook rice and when it's fried it doesn't stick much to the pots and has a less sticky texture, unlike normally cooked rice. That sounds nice i think, i also don't like the rice being too sticky. Thanks for the explanation!! ^^

(for the art trademark ask) definitely your colouring! I also agree about your faces being very specific and having more of a realistic style to them, but I think your colour work is also a very specific trademark you have! you use colour in a sort of painterly impressionistic style that with large brush strokes manages to mimic all the light conditions and textures you're aiming and I think that's incredible. also hi cal what's up <3
HI VI!!!!!!!! omg my faces being realistic... sometimes i think to myself "i should try and draw in the art style of the media im drawing this character from" and then i never do. i just make them how i wanna draw them LOLLLL they go through my calenify beam i guess. also THANK U ABOUT THE COLORS??? COLOR IS WHY I DO ART IN THE FIRST PLACE WEUGHHYG IM GLAD U LIKE THEM AND THEY COME ACROSS WELL!!!

hey there, I hope this doesn't come off as weird because it's so unprompted, but seeing you discuss your relationship with art and creation I can't recommend you enough the anime film "look back" that came out this year. It's out on streaming and is an adaptation of a manga one shot that deals with creation, specifically manga, and has some of the most nuanced, personal and compelling storytelling regarding the complex emotions and dynamics involved with creation. I think it will really resonate with you seeing your recent posts. I will say it is a very emotional watch and I am not known for crying but I cried and even a lot. again sorry for such an unprompted recommendation, for what it's worth it'd very short! Just 55 minutes
NO I RLY APPRECIATE IT i heard about it a couple days ago and i tossed it on my to-watch list but with ur glowing review in my inbox i’ll have to expedite it to higher on the list!!! i’m super interested. and also willing to cry buckets i love when movies make me cry Bdndkdkjdks

The cloudbending scene was Katara and Aang's first dance together, and almost a year later, the kataango at the dance party shows hows far they've come and how they way they see each other and fit together in each other's movements has deepened, but also that they're still just these two drift-compatible kids who match each other's stride and have fun when they do it.

Hi!! First of all would just like to say, your performance as erina is honestly so full of life and both fun and emotional, it's truly been a blast to hear :) I wanted to ask if you had any other character in the game whose dynamic with erina you most enjoyed performing? I found her dynamic with the rest of the thieves (and of course her bond with toshiro) to be very compelling and well executed on all parts
hi!! thank you, that means so much!! it's been so fun to see how she meshes with the thieves as i've been playing!
i remember being delighted by my little conversations with Ryuji (hes blorbo to me)! that and the tactical training videos i did with morgana!
but in all honesty, i was starstruck for most of the recordings, did a little freak out every time i got to say a character's name :P

Thinking about avatar and bending again. Honestly, I believe myself to be quite knowledgeable on the art of bending, but I still have so many questions.
So idk, I hope someone who understands better than me could give me some insight. Also, discussions around bending stiles are really fascinating.
So, I'll just list the ones we know for sure and then some ramblings and ideas I had.
Like last time, I'll go through the bending stiles based on the atla intro because I can.
Also, I'll be basing this on the rules set up in atla, not tlok. Just fyi.
Water
Waterbending (basic)
Swampbending - just bending swamp water? Can they turn it into ice as well? Don't know why they couldn't but we never saw that as far as I'm aware
Plantbending (?) - not sure if that's the name, but I'm referring to that one guy who bended vines in the swamp. About that, how far does that go? Just vines? I'm no plant expert but I'm sure there are a lot of plants that have the same amount of water in them like vines. So they should bend them too, shouldn't they? That seemingly doesn't take the power of the moon to do that as well.
Bloodbending - the good shit. Being able to control a living being by taking control over the water in their blood. Works only under the full moon (again, I'll be ignoring tlok for this). The question I have here is how far that goes. Theoretically, could they control a corpse? As long as it has blood in it still, of course. Again, I'm no doctor, so idk how long a person keeps their blood after death. Could they constrict the blood flow and make appendages die off? Clod a vein or so? Make someone experience a heartattack?
Sweatbending - bending sweat. Duh. But does that mean they can bend urine? I'm sure they can bend tears.
Cloudbending
They can suck out the water out of stuff as Hama shows Katara. So can they suck out the water out of people? Dry out our eyes? Idk, stuff like that. I don't know why they shouldn't be able to do so
Mistbending - I don't know if that's in the show tbh. But it should be pretty much like cloudbending so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Earth
First of all, I don't know what the fuck earth really is. Like I googled it, but I'm still confused. So if someone could clear that up for me, I would appreciate it a lot xD.
Earthbending (basic)
Sandbending
Metalbending - they should be able to bend weapons, right? Like swords. They can levitate swords. They can fight from a distance with a sword.
Lavabending
Crystalbending - I'm talking about Aang when they were in Ba Sing Se, when he made himself an armour out of the crystals. That opens the question on what earth really is. Like it's minerals, isn't it? Idk about that. But if you can bend minerals, that means they can bend a lot more, can't they? Again, they could make weapons with that and use them as I explained with metalbending.
Colebending - can they make diamonds out of them? I don't see why not, diamonds are just cole with a lot of pressure. But does that mean they could bend diamonds?
Mudbending - self-explanatory imo. But could they separate the earth part from the water? I think so
Glassbending - I've heard about this before from the fandom, but idk. Is glass the same as sand or does it change it's... uh... element? Idk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Bonebending - I've heard that a few times as well but idk. As I said, I'm not sure what earth even is and I also don't know what bones are as well soo ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Symmetric sense - don't know if it counts as bending tho
Fire
Firebending (basic)
Lightningbending
Combinationbending
Mistbending - I mean, mist is basically hot water right? So could they bend the heat there and bend the mist through that?
Heatbending - with that I mean being able to put heat into stuff and suck it out. I would say fire-breathing counts as well. Again, I don't see why they couldn't.
Lavabending - I would use the same explanation as for the mistbending. Again, idk if that would be possible, but it's a neat idea I've seen around the fandom a few times.
Chibending - this is something I'm again not sure about but hear me out: We got chi-blocking, granted, it's from Ty Lee and a lot of people theorise that she's an airbender decent so that could come from there. But at the same time, lightningbending and lightning redirection rely heavily on chi. So that gave me the idea that maybe they can bend their own chi and the chi of others? On the other hand, chi could also be something that everyone has. That would mean that everyone can redirect lightning, wouldn't it though? Again, idk, just a thought.
Heat... sight? - basically, couldn't they feel/ see the heat from living beings? Similar to the symmetric sense?
Air
Honestly, I don't have that much on airbending so my bad ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Airbending (basics)
Sucking air out - like out of lungs or stuff
Temperature regulation
Flight
Earthbending - Ok, listen. Rocks have air bubbles in them, right? So could they bend the air in them and move rocks? They could also blow them up through that, right? Again, just spit balling.
Firebending - again, fire needs air, so could they manipulate fire through air?
Waterbending - same thing here ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Spirit stuff idk - airbenders were the most spiritual so maybe they could spirit bend or something idk.
Again, I would love to hear what other think. A lot of those things are also just ramblings and ideas and I'm no genius so keep that in mind.
