having tony collette's peachy fact be that he only smokes to fit in with societal norms in the same episode that we find out he's actually italian (and maybe has some love for his heritage considering his cheese comment?) despite his self-professed loathing of italians is making me a little ill bc it's like. here's this man who is doing absolutely everything he can to fit into society even if that means hiding his true feelings behind constant machismo bluster 24/7 who is starting on a journey that we the audience know will put him through some truly horrific ordeals that, even if he somehow manages to survive them, will isolate and distance him from the society he so desperately wants to be a part of. the thing about tony collette that's been clear from the beginning is that he seems to *enjoy* being a vaguely sleezy used car salesman, he truly relishes and embraces this role. but how much of this is just a part that he plays? how much of this is a reflection of who is truly is versus a mask for him to hide behind? and, once he's forced to face whatever horrors are hiding beneath the surface of peachyville, how much of his mask will be stripped away?

So I've decided that I want to continue to remain single and celibate throughout the year.

No sexcapades, no dating apps, no love at first sight, or realizing someone is right for me when I need to be right for myself. There is still so much work I need to do before allowing someone into my life. My current healing journey has been impactful but I am still not where I want to be mentally and spiritually. In order to be a good partner and in order to recognize a healthy relationship I have to do all of the work. I can't half-ass the healing/grieving process because that will have me figuring out the hard parts of myself through or with another person and that is not fair. If I happen to meet someone who gives me butterflies and makes me feel like a princess I will tell them the same thing I'm telling you. And if they're the right person they will respect that and wait for me. Because the right person will wait for a sexy bitch to heal.

The healing comes first! The smooches, hugs, gawk gawks, spankings, anal sex, and romantic dates will come later and it will be worth the wait! Love is patient.
