Hi yes hello help me I have a new fic idea for this picture
Tumblr media
And it's giving me brainrot because I have too many wips and yet... I must write this ficlet. It's very soft. Friends to lovers.
Lexa owns a little holistic shop that always smells like incense and fresh herby plants. Fresh sprigs of flowers and dangley charms everywhere. Not quite "nature child/granola sister" vibes because it has too many sleek and modern details to it, but still very earthy and calming. Clean and fresh. It's tucked away in a sleepy little town along the coast that's just a short walk to a pier, so the fresh scent of the ocean's spray always mingles with all the perfumes of her shop.
Clarke moves there following the death of her father. Not running from anything, but more just trying to find herself in her new found peace. She's faced her own mortality and come out the other end understanding who she wants to be vs who she thought she should be. Exchanging her med school white coat for cable knit sweaters. Sneakers for deck shoes. Reading glasses for wayfarers.
Chaos for calm.
Which of course leads her right into Lexa's shop a few weeks into getting settled, deciding a new skin routine may be in order as well. Maybe a new lotion and a few handdipped candles to line her fancy new bath tub too, if the hand painted sign outside the shop is to be trusted.
Of course all chances at being the chill, solitary new girl in town who lives quietly and keeps to herself kind of fly right out the window when she hears the little ding of the bell overhead and looks up to see brilliant, soft green eyes already crinkled at the edges in a welcoming smile. Seeing all that sun kissed brown hair pulled back in a delicate crown of braids, the waterfall length of untamed curls falling over strong but slender shouders. Hearing that lyrical voice that's not at all chipper like she'd expect from someone peddling holistic wares. Instead it's soft and vibrant, more like too-warm honey that's been left out in the afternoon sun. Feminine but sure of itself as she merely bids a simple, "Hello, can I help you find anything in particular?"
All that chill is also nowhere to be seen when this freaking angel made of droplets of sunshine and chamomile takes it upon herself to squeeze a dollop of the lotion she'd been eyeing into Clarke's palm and start massaging it in with hands that are so fucking soft Clarke forgets how to breathe. Her intense eye contact as she gently explains the ingredients and why they're so good doesn't help either. Not that Clarke could be PAID to recite any of it, not having taken in a single damn syllable.
She could easily tell you the exact slope of the woman's eyelashes though. Could probably draw the freckle on her upper lip from memory too.
Of course Clarke would leave 2 bags and the shopowner's business card heavier, $70 lighter, and with absolutely no qualms about trading in at least part of her medical knowledge for giving this holistic stuff a try.
And that's it! That's all! Just a pretty girl who is maybe slightly nuts but beautiful and sweet who runs a little holistic beauty shop.
Nothing life altering or anything for Clarke, obviously.
Clarke being new and so in her head about everything and all the changes? It's just A Lot already on her plate. She doesn't have the space for anything else.
But... then there's just Lexa. So unassuming and mild and calming in her presence. Undemanding of Clarke's attention despite always seeming to have it. That slow fall into each other over too prolonged eye contact and friendly waves as Lexa glances at her through the arching windows of her shop, Clarke seeing those plump lips tug up into a grin that mouths an amused but unheard "Hi" as Clarke walks past for the third time that day.
Total coincidence.
But the friendship blooms just like the little plants and sprigs around Lexa's shop. Taking shape and growing as the season changes.
Passing glances and friendly waves turning to chance meetings and slipping away to sit on the bench at the end of the pier, splitting batches of seasoned fries and garlic aioli that Clarke has no idea where Lexa manages to put considering all her halter tops and sundresses that, whew, just leave not much to the imagination.
Walking through a local garden/woodsy path and talking aimlessly for hours as she watches Lexa collect little wildflowers and clovers along the way, stowing them in a satchel she keeps in her long flowy pants, only to drop by the shop the next afternoon and find that the tiny wood nymph-turned shopkeeper has braided her treasures from their outing into her hair that day.
Walks along the rocky beachside and lunches sat huddled together in the park. Lexa sharing how she got into her business and Clarke relaying her past in the medical world just to falter, only to breathe a sigh of relief at Lexa's lazy grin, "Don't worry, Dr. Griffin. I still believe in the power of penicillin."
Lexa showing Clarke where she makes her wares while standing far too close than what's necessary as she lets Clarke peruse everything. Always catching Clarke's gaze in her excitement at Lexa's creations, holding them with that soul-quieting smile of hers.
Clarke noticing how Lexa's scent changes slightly with the seasons because of course Lexa only works with fresh product. Noting how as the months get colder, she goes from airy, delicate lilac scents to heavier sage and sandlewood notes. Fresh pine, peppermint, and holly. Noticing how cute little painted toes trade in their freer sandles for more sensible uggs and the occasional snow boot, seeing how dresses and spaghetti straps get exchanged for cardigans and knitted sweaters big enough to juuust effortlessly slip off her shoulder...
(Still no bra)
(Not that she's... keeping track...)
Lexa is just so unexpected and so... not at all anything Clarke would've ever thought she'd be attracted to. Beyond just her stunning face that is, obviously. It's her personality. She's not someone Clarke can easily "put in a box". She's not quite a hippie, she's not exactly new agey, she's certainly not weak, but she's not overbearing. She's maybe a liiiittle bit nuts, but also so fuckin smart and not cocky about it at all. But absolutely is cocky about the silliest things, like being good at Scrabble and knowing how to fold a fitted sheet. (Again, liiiittle bit nuts.) She's kind, but not a pushover. Soft in ways Clarke can't even begin to fathom or calm her heart over, but so deceptively strong, both in body and spirit.
And she's quiet. Quiet and reserved in her perfectly Lexa way. Yet, when she does open up, there's so much there. So many layers to her, and every time Clarke thinks she's gotten to the bottom of the question mark that is "Lexa", there's a whole new labyrinth to uncover.
The connection between them expands and blooms and becomes something entirely its own. And it kind of just gradually dawns on her that Clarke has somehow managed to find her best friend in the entire world... and has promptly fallen in love with her.
Now.
If I wrote this obviously very short ficlet (😤), would anyone read it?

The Last of Us AU
In the years following the Outbreak, the Fireflies have been convening as many medical minds as they can find to develop a treatment. Lexa Woods has been charged to bring one such mind safely across the country: Clarke Griffin, a medical student trained before the world went to hell. With that mission complete, Lexa looks forward to rejoining the fight against FEDRA--until her plans are scuttled by the same person she's grown to care for.
Chapter 7: Fireworks
She holds up the orders now crumpled up in her non-saluting hand. “What the hell, Clarke?”
Clarke folds her arms over her chest, raises an eyebrow, and looks so like her mother for a moment that Lexa has to blink a few times. “Can I ask to what you are referring?”
The formal language rankles, an attempt to distance her. In response, Lexa steps closer.
“I'm referring to this.” The crumpled paper and envelope hit Clarke's desk with a thunk. “I've been reassigned. To here.”
“What makes you think I had anything to do with that?”
“Are you saying you didn't?”
Clarke frowns. Her jaw works itself, like she’s considering her answer—which is really all the answer Lexa needs.
“I…” Clarke sighs and shrugs out of her lab coat, as if that somehow puts them on a more level playing field. The thought makes Lexa bristle with anger. “I may have had a hand in it.”
“May have?” Lexa's hands fly out to the side, palms up. “What the fuck, Clarke? What did you do?”

Clexa Fanfics
Hey guys these are all the Clexa fanfics that i love and wanted to share!
None of these are mine and all of the fics i added are completed works unless stated otherwise
Clexa
A Different Landing by RhinoMouse ****
The drop ship was always going to have problems coming down. Unfortunately for the 100 they ended up in Ice Nation territory where the locals were far less forgiving. With all the wristbands gone and the survivors unable to contact the ark, the ark never came down. Now four years later the surviving members of the 100 have been assimilated into Nia's army. When Lexa calls for the armies of the coalition to march on the mountain Clarke finds herself leading the Ice Nation forces.
[probably one of my favorite Clexa fanfics. The writing, world building, just everything is so well written and interesting. Highly recommend]
Runners From Azgeda by ellaaa25
Clarke and Raven are sisters only one month apart in age. The day before Clarkes 9th birthday, Jaha drops a block of the ship filled with 40 people to save oxygen with no warning. Clarke and Raven are in a pod and land in Azgeda and are taken to Nia. They are beaten, tortured and broken before being trained in the fighting pits of Azgeda to win their freedom as a pair. At age 16, the sisters are still searching for freedom
The Shadow by Clexa1205
Clarke leaves Camp Jaha and ends up getting captured by Azgeda where she comes face to face with Queen Nia and an unexpected enemy. Two years later, after being blackmailed, tortured, and trained, Clarke is forged into the ultimate weapon: an assassin known as the Shadow.
The Ursa & The Heda by SweeTarts151
Spirits are a large part of grounder culture, when Clarke switches places with Finn to spare him his life and get the alliance, something happens that changes her. Changes the way the grounders and her own people look at her. (Warning torture in first chapter)
When a Fallen Star Finds a Home on the ground by LMS (LMS180)
Torn between the hate Clarke felt for this betrayer and old feelings she wished could be forgotten, Clarke made a choice. And before she could live with the consequences of her actions, life pulled her down an unforeseen path. Today the Skai princess’s story is nothing but a distant memory. One long replaced by curious whispers surrounding Azgeda’s mysterious new Heir, Klark. With a new enemy threatening the Coalition’s Western borders, the Commander had no choice but to summon the 13 clans together. As the clans begin to assemble for the upcoming war, many eagerly await the arrival of Azgeda's mysterious Winter Wolf
(my) Destruction Within Your Mouth by KL_Morgan
Clarke loses: her head, her voice, her heart.
Survivals a Fools Errand by Ebozay
Clarke is spared the same fate as her father by being sent to Earth in a drop pod, a metaphorical canary in a coal mine. All in the name of saving what is left of the human race. To her surprise and short lived excitement she finds that the ground is survivable, that she won't burn as soon as the air touches her. But the scarred and brutal people she encounters? Maybe she's a fool to think she could survive life on the ground after all
Where Green Meets Blue by Clexaisbae
Clarke left Camp Jaha, leaving behind a very confused Bellamy. She stumbles through the forest, lost and unsure of what to do but a pair of green eyes pushed her on. At night, after a close encounter with a panther, Clarke was captured by the Ice Nation and now she has to fight her way out, with only a pair of green eyes to guide her out
The White Queen Running by KL_Morgan
Clarke wakes up wearing the tattoos of the Ice Nation.
(OR: Soulmates, parallel worlds, and Ice Queen Clarke; oh my. Canon divergent from 2x16.)
Clexa Alternative Universes
Blood (Must have Blood) by LexAlexAU
Hunger Games AU
(Just a) Little of Your Love by M_E_Scribbles
Clarke Griffins back in her hometown and working her dream job, as a detective and the leader of Polis Police Department's Search and Rescue. Then she's told to take the SAR to a local kindergarten class for a safety program.
That's where she meets an interesting young girl who takes to her immediately. When adorable handmade cards start appearing at her desk. She goes to the school to thank the girl and runs into a gorgeous woman who begins to invade her thoughts.

E S T R U T ™
Alpha!Clarke x Omega!Lexa for Wanheda’s Dagger Week
ESTRUT™ is an app for unmated Alphas and Omegas to find a companion during their ruts and heats. The app was created not for dating or relationships, or even casual hookups, but for the sole purpose of giving Alphas and Omegas a satisfying and reliable way to deal with that time in their cycles. Clarke Griffin, a season ESTRUT™ user, and Lexa Woods, a reluctant app member who had no choice but to sign up given the intensity of her heats, find each other as perfect matches to their cycles.

Between Our Love
Chapter 10: Fifteen Seconds
Lexa floats, like a piece of driftwood, in the strange in-between world in the middle of consciousness and slumber. The car rocks gently around her, the radio hums, brief flashes of light break up the darkness behind her eyelids, and Lexa lay cradled in the center of it all, curled up in her seat with the seat warmers on, suspended in that place of limbo where time has no meaning.
At least, until the soft murmur of Clarke's voice breaks through the fog as if from a great distance. Lexa stirs, awareness gradually returning to her. Her lashes flutter as she blinks, cracking her eyes open to see Clarke looking at her with fond amusement.
"Sorry to wake you. I just— I'm coming up on the last toll and I can't find the coin purse. I think it's in the glove box. Which…" She gestures vaguely at the swell of her stomach, one hand still on the wheel. Which she can't reach. Right.
Lexa unravels her legs and spares a moment for a languid stretch before she opens the glove box to pluck out the frog-shaped coin purse she'd hidden there when they'd stopped for dinner earlier. They're already rolling up to the toll booth, so Lexa opens it up and counts out the change Clarke needs, handing it over to her. She yawns, feeling much more awake by the time they're gaining speed again.
"We're close," Clarke tells her, nodding toward her phone plugged in its holder on the dashboard. Lexa doesn't need a glance at the map to tell her that, though. She breathes in deeply and the scent of pine fills her lungs. They've already made it to the outskirts of Polis. The road ahead is flanked on either side by familiar pine trees, stretching up toward a night sky that's starting to lighten, the surplus of stars dwindling as the city's distant artificial lights bleach the sky.

Summary:
Family holidays are made a bit awkward when you're always forced to be around the girl who cold-shouldered your "I love you" with a three-month bout of silence. But man is it even more so when there are not enough rooms for everyone at the hotel that was booked and you get stuck sharing a bed with that same sort of ex who is trying their very best to get back to the friendship that you once shared. None of it's that bad really, it's really easy to mold over the past, make things easy for each other since you'll see each other for every major family event.
Problem is...
Lexa doesn't want to be friends.

Medusa!Lexa in all her glory, by @syngularitysyn

Medusa and The Blind Woman
Act III
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“So,” she breathes out as she gets comfortable. “Can I see?”
“Certainly better than I, I assume.”
Lexa huffs, though the trickle of wine already coursing its way through her body loosens her lips enough to slant into the ghost of a smile.
“May I see the shoes, Clarke.”
Clarke makes an, “Ah,” sound and promptly shuffles her feet to the side. “Great craftsmanship I'd say, but I admit, I am biased.” The perfect little line of toes wiggle inside the slits of the shoes. “How did you know they'd fit?”
Lexa rolls her eyes at the question.
“I've tripped over your other sandals more times than I care to count despite asking you repeatedly not to leave them in front of the door. I fear the size and shape of them is seared into my brain by now.”
“... Sorry.”
“No, no,” Lexa says in a lazy drawl. “Surely it's all part of your ‘doing what I ask of you—”
Clarke cuts her off with a garbled sound. “Well it's not like I do it on purpose! At least I don't go throwing them at people, unlike others around here. Half the reason it took me this long to try these on was because you launched them at me, and I didn't even know what they were when they bounced off my head!”
Remembering the indignant squawk that had sounded from the corner of her living room when she’d, admittedly, catapulted the pair of shoes in question at the woman, Lexa chuckles lowly to herself.
The sound seems to startle a gasp from Clarke's lips as she clutches her chest, turning sharply at the waist toward Lexa with her mouth hanging open.
Lexa nearly snorts at the agape state of her face. “What?”
“She… she laughs.”
Caught somewhere between amusement and offense, Lexa coughs out an amused, “Don't be ridiculous, of course I laugh.”
“Uh. Not around me you don't.”
“I laugh quite frequently, actually,” Lexa says, giving an imperious nod to the fire. “Perhaps you're simply not as entertaining as you think you are.”
Clarke deflates.
“Never mind, there she is. That's the girl I know,” she says in a wistful breath. “I was worried for a moment.”
New Rules - Chapter 18
Tumblr media
Chapter 18 - Nonsense
Sometimes, when a relationship is new, something soft and sweet turns into something...unabashedly smutty.
(Heads up: this one's got sexually explicit material.)
Clarke’s question interrupts Lexa’s thoughts, though not quite fast enough for her to hear its entirety. Not that she could hear much of anything if Clarke weren’t shouting—the woman has been blasting whatever eclectic mix of songs she’s chosen through most of Lexa’s speaker system all morning. “There’s every condiment in existence in this fridge, how can there be no butter?” Lexa’s eyes don’t leave her laptop screen. She rubs her chin; narrows her eyes; tucks the tip of her pen atop her middle finger and clicks through another set of prompts. “Did you want butter for your coffee?” she calls back.  “Very funny,” comes the response. “I know where the coffee is, thank you, but that does little to assist in the creation of toast.” Now why on earth would they put that button there? She starts another line of notes and answers: “It’s on the top shelf, my darling. Behind the creamer.” Silence follows; or rather, not silence, since the music is still blaring through the apartment, but still a conspicuous lack of fridge door-closing sounds or the toaster announcing the aforementioned creation of toast. Feet shuffle down the hall and Lexa doesn’t have to look up to know Clarke has abandoned the search for butter and instead has appeared at the open door to her office. “I’m sorry, what did you say?” Lexa glances up only briefly, taking in the bright purple t-shirt emblazoned with Jazz and Heritage Festival, familiar heather gray sweatpants, and half-acetate, half-wire cat-eye frame reading glasses that characterize Clarke’s Sunday morning wardrobe in half a second before returning to her notes. “The butter is behind the creamer.” “Not that.” Lexa sees Clarke cross her arms and lean against the doorframe out of the corner of her eye. “What did you just call me?” She stops writing. Her brows knit together; she’d paid so little attention to what she was saying that she now has to actively try to recall what it was. “Clarke?” she guesses. “Nope.” Now Lexa does, for the first time, turn her attention fully to Clarke—and is met with raised eyebrows and the beginnings of a smirk. “Try again.” Puzzlement sets in. Had she said something strange? It’s on the top shelf…
New chapter for Love Hurts - Oh to be Jolly at Christmas
Little snippet
“I need to start thinking about decorating for Christmas, I don’t know where to start if I’m honest.”
Costia scowled at the statement and sat right up. Without realising the bed covers fell from her and revealed her bare chest, she was too shocked at what Lexa said to care.
Lexa’s gaze went from her face straight to her exposed body, once she noticed what she had done her cheeks grew pink.
“Miss Woods, don’t tell me you’ve never decorated for Christmas!” Costia just stared at her waiting for an answer.
Lexa cleared her throat, “yeah when I was a kid.”
Costia blinked at her a few times before she said anything.
“I don’t believe you, not as an adult?”
Lexa shrugged, “I just let Anya do it most of the time.”
“I get the feeling that you worked all through Christmas to even care.”
“Towards the end of my relationship with Clarke, I buried myself in work, it was easier, she always decorated.”
Costia relaxed her posture upon hearing this new information.
“I see,” The redhead softly said.
Lexa looked back to Costia’s chest, “I think you’re a bit cold, Cos.”
Costia looked down and laughed, “Yup, I, better get ready and go to work.”
“Yeah, I need to go for a run.” Lexa put her phone away and got out of bed, “when are you next free?”
Costia watched Lexa make her way to the chest of draws pulling out her running gear. She didn’t mean for the conversation to end so abruptly but she did need to get going. She wanted to post the job ad as soon as possible.
“Tonight.”
